Down Nightclub Philadelphia

So this club has its ups and downs , just like the majority of clubs.. and if u go just make sure u limit ur expectations as far as people and dancing go .. u can easily get the party started if that’s ur personality, if not go and get u a drink .. they got Jell-O shots for like 5 bucks and all the drinks are more Soda friendly .. so if ur tryna get drunk either pre game like a normal person or bring about $120 with you ..

I had worked here recently as one of the photographers for a private event. This club is amazing. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Everyone treated us like family. My friend and I had a wonderful time working here. We really felt the love. I would like to personally thank everyone here for the great experience.

Was in the other night and the photographer was taking some promo shots. RTard bouncer was kicking out some girls for no reason…. Obviously on a power trip! Don’t go security there will boot you out into the cold without your belongings!

I had my wedding reception here and it was the best decision that I made. The entire staff were so helpful and kind throughout the event. Devon helped me from start to finish and she is hands down one of the best party planners I’ve ever connected with. Everyone had an amazing time!

Went the other night, had an excellent experience as usual. My friends and I try to get bottle a service when we go, service is on point, never any issues. All staff never lets us down, and of course Chris Red, never disappoints to show a great time and give amazing hospitality. Keep killin it everyone, see you soon!

Great night here. $15 for a shot of Henny tho. Charge you for hanging a coat too. Security is amazing here, always on point. Went on St Patricks Day

Worst experience I ever had last night. Horrible management that pushes you to the side. Would not even budge when two people walked out with blood all over their clothes after being punched. They did not care to help the situation. Told them a woman got pushed to the ground and they said to me “you could have went back in there and had a fun time”. I will never go back to an establishment that does not care these type of situations are happening. Do not waste your money on that $20 cover and take your money elsewhere that cares about your wellbeing.

Left my wallet at the club and received it without any of the cash in it. I had asked the bouncer to let me back into the club after i realized i left my wallet, he initially refused, then eventually let me back in.... only for me to come back out and get my wallet from the bouncer who had it the whole time. not to mention he took my actual I.D and all the cash in my wallet. what a horrible experience

Terrible place. Allowed a hate crime to happen and did nothing about it allowing my friend and his partner to be assaulted for no actual reason. Would not feel safe here and would never ever go back.

For a woman definitely guard yourself the bouncer will take advantage of you. I was in a party of ten and the bouncer made and untoward advance towards me which I denied for which he kicked me out for afterwards. I work in the industry so I know the working of it all and it was totally uncalled for. Overall bartenders A+,experience bouncers F- “, the manager did though try communicate everything to a fault.

Had worst experience yesterday night.It was really congested.Bouncers were rude. They should better behave themselves and treat everyone properly.Sad and disappointed. Was expecting a better experience.Not worth even the cover they charge.

Last month, someone threw a glass bottle while my friends and I were waiting in line. My friend was cut, and clearly bleeding. Her and her boyfriend went to the front of the line to ask to go to the bathroom, where the woman working the door was a complete and utter WITCH who told them only MY BLEEDING FRIEND could go ALONE where she only knew us unless we all paid an extra $5 to get in. She was unbelievably rude AND charged us the AFTER 11PM cover at 10:58 to simply clean glass from our bleeding friend. Security should prioritize SAFETY OVER MONEY.

Management is poor for such a mediocre experience. A lot of fights broke out randomly and security did nothing to help the situation. We did not feel safe there. There are so many better options where your safety isnt at risk

Saw an ad for this place on Facebook and our group of friends couldnt wait to check it out. Until we got there. The bouncers are exactly like the tool bouncers you see in movies. Letting their boys in while people were waiting for well over a half hour in line and then tried telling us the cover is $30 to get in when we knew it was $10 (he didnt know we knew that and thought wed leave after hearing that price) because we complained to them on how unprofessional theyre being after they let their 20th friend in ahead of us. We called them on their bluff and said ok well pay anyway so he had to follow us in and told the girl to charge us $30 since she was charging everyone $10 all night. Pretty sure they just hire dudes from north philly that dropped out of school at the age of 12 cause they were top notch morons. If you read other reviews youll see people complaining of the bouncers not doing anything when dudes are groping girls at the bar because that guy just happens to be the bouncers friend. They dont even have their own bathroom. Place is a joke

Would give this zero stars if possible. Long story short, a huge beefy guy (62) stuck his hand up my dress multiple times, and when I (53) told him to get the @#$% off me, he grabbed me by my shoulders and threw me on the ground. When we alerted the bouncers, they refused to throw him out because he was friends with someone important and insisted on giving us alcohol to make amends. This already belligerent and violent man was allowed to continue chugging out of a Grey Goose bottle while I was hushed up and not taken seriously. This is an unacceptable, disgusting way to handle assault in your establishment.

Most over-priced, overrated place I’ve ever been. $20 cover to pay $10 for watered down drinks that you’re done in a few sips. Go to literally any other bar in philly instead of this “club” for a better experience.

Philly is def more of a pub/bar scene, so its always nice to see a club pop up. Most clubs have a bar area, and an designated dance floor where people get thay freak on, right? Well this place did not put much thought into their layout because its all just one big area. I LOVE dancing, and felt very awkward dancing, because right next to me people were having a normal conversation. Go to Rumor and no one is having a conversation, its straight dancing or youre at the bar drinking. And the shared bathroom with Fox and Hound is VERY cheap..We were the only table that bought bottle service, we were on the guest list, and we had someones birthday that we notified them of before, there was absolutely no reason we needed to wait in line that long. I thought maybe it was packed inside? Noopee. Not empty, but for a club, it was sparse.Wouldnt be first on my list to return. If Im the clubbing mode again, Ill probably hit up the other clubs first.

Dont even bother. Overcrowded, and most of management lacks any kind of courtesy or professionalism. There are much better places to go and dance in Philly, make your way elsewhere. Oh and watched two different guys come out with bloody noses and they DO NOT notify the police detail that fights have broken out. They have an its not my problem mentality.

Staff is super friendly and fun, I always have a great time when I come by. The hospitality is great. The always have good music playing and great mix of people partying in there.

Was at the club next door lastnight, and wasnt to please with the music...Left out the front door and heard the music in Down Club and had to go in the music was on point! Place is very modern & intimate. 5stars!Didnt know both clubs are connected 2different club scenes for the price of one!

Amazing establishment the atmosphere was great didnt get that judgment feeling.... the drinks and service was on point 5 out of 5 hands down no question worth every dollar

This Club is 100% Legit Fun Fun Fun. Great music, safe and friendly environment, friendly attentive staff and a Dance floor that is always jumpin!!!

Went here on Friday because of Instagram. It is BEAT! Prob like 500 sq feet, the bottle service is a joke. Do not come here !

Over priced watered down drinks, rude staff

When I was at the club it went down. Unfortunately, too many shots went down, so the cheese steak I ate afterwards came UP on the side of the highway.

Nice club. Service wasn’t that good and the dj wasn’t that great but if you’re drinking everything sounds good.

Went there Saturday night, we spent 1.5 hour on the line just to get in. The club is small. Not worth that 20$ cover
