Ive been a long time attendee of Sky and I used to love it here but lately they have gone down hill. Seems like all they care about now is selling as many tickets as possible to make as much money as possible that they dont care about people having an enjoyable experience. If the show is sold out or close to it, expect having no room to dance whatsoever or literally even move. I would happily pay more for my ticket if they would just sell like 150 less tickets so that people could have room to dance and enjoy their night. I really hope they switch up the way they have been doing things because I feel they are soon going to lose a lot of loyal customers.
Wow. What a terrible venue. Sound is awful - bring your earplugs unless you like reverb. They cram so many people into GA its unsafe. The only place to sit down are the private tables. Tickets are insanely expensive for what youre getting. That being said, they get the best talent so they of course leverage it.
Edit: Initial post was emotionally driven, I would like to edit my review. After showing up early, I was curious about all the negative reviews. They seemed extreme. Upon arrival I was talking to security before they opened. Mentioned I work security at times and understand what they did. After entering i was impressed by the whole thing. I wanted to promote them here with a review. Loved the DJ!! I was impressed with the usage of space and the seriously awesome design. I started taking pictures before it filled up, showcasing the space. After taking my final crowd pics, security rushes up on me with intimidation tactics. Demanding my ID again. Confused, having done NOTHING wrong, i handed it to him asking what was wrong. he then proceeded to tell me I was making people nervous by taking a lot of pictures, accusing me of being DABC, and embarrassed me. After he takes a picture of my ID, which is illegal for a security officer to do if theres no crime committed, I humiliated left.P.S. I am a Veteran with PTSD so i enjoy crowds from the edge.
They hire thieves! Had money stolen out of my bag while in the hands of the club venue at bag check!A guy named Max gave me his details to message him and said he was going to look over the footage that night to see who did it and then get back to me the next day and that regardless if they didnt see who did it or didnt see anything suspicious that he would personaly get my money back to me that next day. After that night he ghosted me and its not been 19 days and he hasnt responded to my messages. So unprofessional and very upset about the whole situation, more so that absolutely nothing has been done! You been warned! Dont take your bags with you and leave them at bag check as they will steal from you!
Venue staff is not friendly. Security is not well trained and aggresive. They have cancled there Wednesday and Thursday shows due to low attendance. Stage and sound has not seen upgrades in over a decade. DJs who headline often press play, cancle, or show up late. The crowd the venue draws is often pushy and leads to a not fun night out.
I have attended a few events at venue. ALLTIMES I felt uncomfortable / out of place being an African American female 😳 I believe the whole staff was racist By the way, we were treated all times! I’ve been born and raised here in Utah and I’ve never felt like in any other club.
Been going for many years now and SKY is only recommendable in certain circumstances - if you are going to see a top DJ or performer prepare to be packed like sardines into the venue with long bar lines - I’m talking if an emergency happens - people WILL get trampled. However if it’s a smaller, lesser known act you will have a good time and plenty of space to drink, chill and dance.
One of my favorite venues for EDM shows. There are some HUGE names that come through here and most of my experiences have been pretty great! They sometimes have the DJs on the floor so you can get up right next to them! Some of the coolest experiences I have had have been at these floor shows - please do more! The sound is sometimes too quiet, especially during the opening acts. They dont turn it up until about half way through the act before the headliner, before that it is often too quiet so I cant get into the mood to dance to the music. I always feel bad for the openers! Places like Soundwell often start with the music loud so even the openers have lots of energy! That being said, I have also seen a couple shows here that were some of the loudest I have seen (Barely Alive and DJ Diesel) which I love! But just be prepared with earplugs in case you happen to catch a show where they really turn it up. Wish all shows were like that though! Space can get crowded depending on the artist. If they are popular, you WILL be squished. Cant speak to the bar as I dont drink. Bathrooms are decent. Overall I am pleased when an artist I like is going to be at Sky, but there are definitely some areas for improvement. Seems like most 1 star reviews are from people that come to other events or for the general bar, so keep that in mind if you are only interested in EDM shows.
Overcrowded and expensive. Almost 8 dollars for a can of beer? Not even from the barrel? Why wouldn’t they open the main or second floor and decide to squeeze us all in the rooftop? Some questions that will never be answered.
This venue has been through more changes than any other in town.Still a great place for shows. There is parking in the nearby area. Go early if that is your plan. The parking lots full up quickly. The tickets are reasonable. If you are interested in the bar, bring your wallet.Plan on about $10 per drink. The recent trend of artists leans more into the EDM genre. You can find a list of events on their website.I highly recommend checking out Sky SLC if the calendar has any dates with your favorite artists. It’s great in the summer when the rooftop opens up.
The place has got worst and worse over the years and now It doesn’t matter what artist is playing I refuse to go. I get it’s a business at the end of the day but they simply don’t care about the customers experience anymore and they simply just want to sell as much alcohol as they can. They’ll let in as many people at the end of the night as they can on guestlist. I’ve had to leave many times because you simply can’t even dance unless you have a table in VIP. The place is a joke now and hopefully DJ start going to other Venus instead of Sky
If you ask me if I recommend this nightclub, the answer is NO. Yesterday I went with some friends and we had to leave immediately after the bad experience we had thanks to the bully attitude that one of their security men had inside with us, by mistake I stumbled upon these things that they use to separate the VIP area from the general area and this man basically started kicking my partner and Is feet, obviously I took the attitude of not moving and asked him to stop hitting our feet and what I received was an intimidating scream very close to my face and word MOVE. His hateful face was so real that I felt like he was going to easily push or hit me regardless of the fact that I am a woman and he is a man who is three times my size. I want to clarify that I was not even under the influence of alcohol, I was super sober and even very bored because the DJ is very bad, but that is not the case.I recommend that you NOT go to this place and if you are a woman, this place is not safe for you.
Was part of the crawl with us bar crawl over the weekend. They had the craw company host that they would let there people in until 9 but we got there at 8:50 and were denied entry. The bouncers were very rude and said to “deal with it” but if we wanted to pay we could get in. Was looking forward to try out a new place but from that experience I will likely not be trying out this one.
Self-important security with random rules. It was “collared shirt night” and we were able to give security $20 to forget about me not having a collared shirt. I think we paid about $70 for each of us and then $70 more to get on the rooftop which was such a bore. It was just a smaller area with a smaller DJ setup and expensive drinks. The security is overwhelming and essentially any of them can get paid off.I feel like the security is all veterans just waiting for an excuse to try and rough you up. We got bored on the roof and left to go to a dive bar that had a more comfortable setting. You walk in and hit the bar, there’s a very small pathway you can shove through people to get to the stage which is surrounded by hundreds of spectators. No matter how many “therapy Thursday” cheap catchphrases you come up with, after my last few experiences here, I’d never go back.
Really really cool venue, 360 stage for a performer I saw tonight. But holy COW! It was at least 85-90 degrees in there, straight up everyone including staff were complaining about it. Would easily be 4-5 stars if they figured the a/c out but seems to be an ongoing problem. Only way you guys would fix it is if you get complaints, so here I am
The location is cool, parking very closeby, but the advertising is verrrrry deceptive. If you are looking to see the headliner, you would be better off getting to the club late. Like way late. What Sky needs to do if they are going to bring big names is advertise when they will be playing, and include the openers times as well!!! The openers deserve some love too. But for the headliners, go late and don’t expect to be home before 4.
They were so supportive helping my husband (who is in a wheelchair) get into the building using a different entrance and checking our party’s ID’s there. We just got into the regular line and they routed us to another entrance to avoid the couple steps. Awesome experience at DJ Pauly D!The dance floor is accessible from the main level with a ramp. It was also really nice that the dance floor was down a few steps so my husband could easily see over people to see the stage! Awesome!!
- warmup DJ 2/5 just for effort (actually also imported from Europe)- floor cleaning 2/5: clean most party, dance floor is filled with drinks- crowdedness 3/5: okay level- no reentry if you enter early and wanted to leave a while- stared artist will appear 3 hours late, be prepared for that- $14/2 hour parking
Lets just say I dont like getting profiled! I walk in, many glares and sneers. Then to have security stalk me throughout the little time I was there. Just disrespectful inappropriate and rude! I even stood at the bar and got ignored.
It was my birthday and my daughter bought my ticket for DJ Pauly D I was so excited! The venue was nice clean and very exciting, the only reason I give 3 stars was because the bartender was rude, he ignored us being there for atleast 5 minutes he served my daughter and her boyfriend skipped us and helped other young ladies , was very rude . I understand it’s a lot to be a bartender but please be kind and apologize if u need to. The music was amazing the show was amazing as well . Not sure if I would recommend this place . Just wanted to have a good birthday. But the bartender really just need better people skills . Also my drink was so bland didn’t taste like alcohol at all and my drink alone was $9 wow rip off!
I love having a spot in SLC that plays amazing music, brings in good artists that I actually would love to see, and a spot to dance and have fun with friends and strangers alike. Sky definitely was one of those at one time. However, lately they seem to only care about packing the place as much as possible. They are over selling the amount of tickets that should be available, and making it only slightly enjoyable if you purchase a table so then you can actually have some breathing room. Tables can go $5K+ just fyi if you’re interested. I have been to a lot of shows at Sky and I’ll happily pay more per ticket to have them not sell 200 ish tickets so I can move about the venue and enjoy my night. (Not kidding when I say the shows there recently have been too packed for you trying to get to the restroom or hell the bar if you wanted to give them more money) I hope Sky see’s this and others posting about such nights and steps their game up.
Horrible atmosphere. I was truly disappointed - I went to see my favorite artist, and the sound system was garbage. The venue was sold out, which you would think that would mean the dance floor would be accessible to everyone still right? Nope. It was so extremely packed that I could not get around the venue at all. Waste of money. Poorly managed. Will never go back here. I ended up leaving after 5 songs and will have to just hope that she plays elsewhere in the future.
Sky is soooo fun, the lights & production are a 10/10, as well as the sound. I love the variety of artists they bring in, & you can either choose GA & go to the bar, or choose VIP & get private table service.
Went for Salt Lake Comic Con Bash, glad we only got general tickets instead of VIP. It was meh music, no fault of the venue. However the drinks were poured light and overly priced considering the lack of alcohol in them. My friend said one male bartender overcharged her and then I was there to see him be a complete ass when she didnt tip him. We tipped every other time, but the $22 for 2 drinks tapped her out. I liked the women who were tending, the one I got didnt pour light on my tequila sunrise. Probably will find a different bar next year, $20 is a little much for me, on top of drinks.
Its been a while since I have gone to sky lounge. And tonight it was absolutely packed, and the wonderful lady at front of house really helped me out and got me a section to sit. I was shoved and my knee gave out and they jumped right on it to help me out and be able to enjoy the show still. I absolutely appreciate them and their efforts ♥️
Has potential. Sound system on main stage sounds like it’s from 2009. Too quiet. Cannons were blowing out junks and smelled so bad
This is easily the greatest nightclub in Salt Lake City. The customer service is unparalleled and every single employee made me feel like I was the most important person in the room. This is the closest thing to Vegas that Utah has to offer. I have been very impressed with the artists that perform here and I am shocked this place is not more popular
Excision makeup party did NOT disappoint!!! Time of my life! Thanks to all the behind the scenes peeps, staff & security who made this possible. Ill NEVER forget tonight!!! 🙅♀️💜
I love so much that every night at sky is a different, great vibe!I love to go to lots of genres and Sky fulfills that need. Their staff is amazing, especially Nikki ♡EDM vibes are pretty cool and the people are typically PLUR fam. ✌️ ❤️ 🤝🙏 Hip-Hop can get a little crazy fun...maybe a little handsy 😜The security is on top of safety and I always feel like the one dude (I can never remember his name) ALWAYS makes sure that the ladies and guys are partying safe. 🎊I am grateful they always have free, fresh water 💧 in the back - coldish and filled - with cups. The staff promotes safe, friendly fun.The balcony is cool when it gets hot.Sky rooftop is a vibe too.Requests:I wish that1. Theyd stay open later, maybe wayyyy later 🌙 and2. Theyd open a few types of rooms with different genres to go to and from...one or two nights a month. Maybe silent disco? A white party event? Let me know. I have my degree in Marketing and Events! Id love to help be a part of the team 😜Tickets 🎟 are typically pretty inexpensive, especially if you buy early or get on a guest list on a guest list night (maybe you can ask them pretty please to be added 😊 ).By FAR..... Sky is my FAVORITE SLC NIGHTCLUB ☆I hope you stay open forever! Thanks for the vibes guys! ♡
I havent read through all the bad reviews to know what theyre about but I went here last night and had a great time. Security was fine and bartenders were better than I have come to expect in general.Sound was good and my favorite part was that they had two shows going at once and one of them is in the open air rooftop. I was lucky and found parking on the street but there is a garage across the street with an actual attendant so Id get safe parking there.
Great venue for big names. Nice space, decent clientele, not a lot of riff raff. Can get very packed, buy your tickets early and skip the line. VIP would be worth it if you want your own space.Clean and you can usually find parking within a block or two. They could use a little more bass, but 8/10 on the sound.Skylights are cool and open on hot nights. Full moon will occasionally rise and you can see it while dancing. Awesome.Probably the best venue in town at this point.
We got a VIP table and left a purse behind with our car keys in it. No phone number for this buisness, we have sent multiple messages over the last 5 days with no response. Needless to say it was our fault, but this place does not care about its customers. On day 5 with no vehicle.....
Absolutely love comin out to SKY. The staff is some of the best in the state. Elisa(bartender) will not only be there mixing your drinks but rocking out and making sure you’re also having a good time no matter the event.Thank you to the Sky Team for all you do at this venue to bring amazing events to our city.
Great dj scene. More electronic music. Sometimes Latin nights. Usually $30 cover
The show was fantastic. Was actually the best night out I have had in years. Towards the end of the show I met a girl who was a little out of it. She said she was waiting for her boyfriend and didnt know where he was at. She then slumped over on the dance floor and I had someone help me carry her out. I asked security and had multiple people ask them for help as I needed to keep her from dying from choking or vomiting. She was completely unresponsive and barely breathing. They even declined giving ice on 2 separate occasions because they dont babysit. Long story short i called the ambulance for this poor girl and probably cost her a couple thousand dollars because the security did not care to even let me attempt to help this girl before I had to call the ambulance. Before the ambulance and fire trucks got there I had 6 other club goers trying to help. NOT A SINGLE PERSON FROM THE STAFF AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO GET HELP. honestly I have a lot of things I would like to say about the whole experience but for the sake of not getting this taken off for swearing Ill leave it at that. Fun time or not, first time and last time I will ever go there. I understand people are responsible for themselves and their own wellbeing but the staff was prepared to let her die on the concrete outside and wouldnt even let me get back in to look for her phone. I never write reviews but honestly sky can get bent for all I care.
Drinks were good and Collin was my bartender. Appreciated I could hear and understand him over the music. He’s a dope guy and definitely recommend going upstairs for your drink! Just wish he worked there every time I go. Sometimes it’s hard to get drinks in a timely manner while still having good customer service
Edit: Marc replied to instagram comments letting us know he was only hosting and only supposed to sing 3 songs for 15 minutes. Sky SLC portrayed it as a concert starting at 9pm. Horrible marketing!! Don’t waste your money.Crazy expensive shots and drinks. Came for Marc E Bassy and he didn’t come on until 12:45 and ended at 1. Waste of money on gas, hotel, tickets, drinks, and 3 hour travel time. As for the club, Taylor the bartender upstairs is so sweet and a beautiful person. Upstairs is chill away from the crowds downstairs. Bouncers yell at you when you’re lost trying to find the bathroom. Drinks are downed with ice so you don’t get much to drink.
I didn’t have any food so I had to 1 star. But the experience all the way to people I’ve met was truly amazing. Stayed in Utah for one week at the Hyatt and it was great. Not to far from the hotel I was at. Drink were good people were good. There was no complaints on my end. A plus
Had a great time for the Glitch Mob show here.Wish I would have taken more pictures. The one I got is from our table on the balcony next to the sound booth. Great spot to watch the show. The staff took good care of us and Glitch Mod rocked it. Very happy with my experience and plan to go VIP for all shows I attend at this venue.
I had such a great time here! Elisa was one of the most friendly bartenders I have received service from. She gave great service while dancing and having fun. Will definitely come back!
During the weekend before Halloween v2 offered an after party to help make up for the rescheduled show. They then proceeded to allow people who didnt rsvp to purchase tickets to walk right on in while holding their other ticket holders in line for up to 2 hours. Even then when we got inside they charged us anyway. Pair this experience with a lack ada accessibility (chairs in line or in the venue) Im more than disappointed. I expect a refund in full to make this right. Until then I cant in good conscience spend another dollar towards the parties involved in the handling of this.
I went there and Im outside my norm seems like new people arent very welcome here. The employees are rude AF here. Especially the front desk lady and I was aking about reentry like jesus i didnt know it was so special thats weird, weird as hell. she threw it in my face and was rude as hell. I was trying to be respectful still, Im going to go again take a picture of her face and post it on here she was the rudest on here are rude AF expected the security. Even the bar tenders seemed like they had an attitude anyways the leadership here absolutely needs to get their act together. I suggest people stay away from this place. The employees are rude as hell. When youre in a customer service position youre not supposed to be rude or you should be fired. Also expect to pay like $15 a drink its a rip off dont drink at sky either. This place will crash and burn I guarantee it.
I’ve had a few poor experiences with Sky, culminating last night with DIESELThey brought everyone in, had the undercard playing, and only when the place was starting to fill did they announce DIESEL had cancelled. It was a super awkward, bizarre presentation the way they told everyone. Some people weren’t even aware what was happening in the club itself when I was walking out. Now, look, I don’t know Shaq, nor his logistics, nor do I care. But someone had to be aware at Sky that he had cancelled prior to getting everyone in there, and that is quite the low brow move. I for one am shocked that everyone would want to leave when the 60 dollar headlining artist is a no show. For any other EDM enthusiasts, support your local DJs and scene, take your money elsewhere. Mutiny Music Collective and Defiance collective are leagues ahead of these old head clubs who don’t know nor support the scene. I typically actually love V2 to be fair but they need to stop using Sky, plain and simple.Salt Lake City has a beautiful and vibrant scene, there is no reason we need to be putting up with venues and promoters like this.
The vibe and drinks were great, had lots of fun on the roof, but this turns it into a one star. I had to pee so I went downstairs and when I tried to come back up the guard told me I had to wait. Then he says “if you slip me a 20 I’ll let you up”. I told him I was up there already with my friends celebrating my 22nd birthday. And he just shrugged so I had to sit by myself which is always fun on your birthday 🥳
This place flags reviews to google as fake or spam, dont be fooled by these clowns! So many better clubs in utah, this place sucks the main security guard tonight was extremely disrespectful. I get it if you got a job to do but Dont disrespect people, you never know who your dissing.
Club is extremely mediocre, tonight was not a good night here. Kicked my buddy out for absolutely no reason. Security needs to get their facts straight as well as the other employees need to be honest. Thanks sky I will make sure my people know not to come here.
Nothing impressive at all! especially with packing the crowd on the rooftop making guests to line up for >30minutes where the indoor main dance floor is barricaded and closed for the guests.Could not taste any hint of alcohol in 2 different cocktails.
Cool place and a variety of shows for different music tendencies, hip hop, deep house, house, trance… they just make you wait too long at the door to get in and the bouncers outside not quite friendly. The usual with all clubs in SLC, it’s never too full to not being able to move around except for the dance floor. I would go depending on the show, not just for the heck of it…
This is a great place to enjoy live entertainment by yourself and to meet new people if you’re just visiting SLC or out solo. Great place to go listen to DJs playing sets during the week on the main floor or on the Rooftop during the summer and warmer months. If you’re a new DJ looking to get started playing live shows this is a great place to start.
The entire night the DJs played techno. It was awful no dancing music that was fun. Both DJs were terrible and the entire night no one was dancing because the music was awful. Most ended up leaving going to other clubs to listen to better music. Waste of money and time going there every time I’ve gone they play awful music.
We visited this on 1-19-24,to go see pauly d, it was to crowded , we ended up leaving around 11pm. i bet the capacity was over the limit. saw a few people leaving also for the same thing.
My 3 friends and I went to celebrate a friends birthday this past weekend. my other friend and I went to the bar & asked for 2 drinks. the bartender didn’t want to serve us because she said we were going to give drinks to our other friend (she wasn’t asking for a drink & was fine). She said our other friends night was done & we said okay well we just want 2 & they’re not for her. The bartender ended up walking away & telling the rest of the bartenders to not serve us because we said we were going to give some to our other friend (which wasn’t true). She then saw us talking to another bartender, she came up from behind him and brought the 2 drinks but said it was $30 total for both. I looked at her in shock as in why we were being overcharged, before I even said a word she grabbed the 2 drinks and threw them away. My friend & I were in disbelief of what was happening, she then said she was done with us arguing with her, when in fact my friend and I hadn’t said a word to her throughout this altercation. Instead of continuing to talk to her we asked for a manager, he was understanding but wouldn’t let us order cocktails only shots.I’ve never had this kind of service at sky, every time I go it’s always a good time but this time it was an unpleasant experience. Kind of makes me feel iffy of going from now on if this is how the staff is going to treat you.
Physical violence was threatened against me by their lovely security while I was on the sidewalk. Public property mind you.
Well first off their ridiculously EXPENSIVE drinks had little to no alcohol. Their security was rude and very touchy. Especially a caucasian old man with white hair, he saw that two guys were harassing my husband and my friends and he came and threatened my husband and even shoving him. Later a different security guard told us that they have to let those guys get away with it because the guys are regulars. Absolutely Ridiculous. This club is the worst club in Salt Lake City. If you’re looking for a good time and a safe environment, Echo & Karamba are on the same block plus their drinks actually have alcohol in them and are well priced.
Had an absolutely AWFUL experience at their recent perreo night. Pretty sure they were beyond capacity because it got to a point where you couldn’t even dance anymore because it was so crowded. When my friends and I tried to leave the building, a white male security guard decided to have a power trip and assaulted my sister by unnecessarily picking her up and shoving her against the wall. Then two other security guards came to aggressively “escort” us out when all we wanted was to exit the building in the first place! It is absolutely NOT a safe place for women and people of color and we will never be stepping foot in there again.
PROS: Sky gets some big artists for weekday shows, at pretty good ticket prices. The venue itself is set up nice.CONS: Whats up with your security? These dudes are way too overbearing and aggressive towards patrons. Real vibekiller when way too many guards are scouring the dance floor, dressed in tactical assault gear, treating everyone like a criminal. Drinks are pricey, but thats to be expected.Ive been to 5 concerts here, and it does seem security has been getting less obtrusive and annoying. Maybe its all the negative reviews? Seems as though management may be aware and working on the issue. Fingers crossed.I am planning on going to more concerts here in the future.
Not one to leave reviews unless its been an exceptional experience (or awful). I work at a nearby spot, and am aware of how crowds can be, but this crew at Sky is ON IT... The coat check (never had an issue with it at Sky, ever, other places, I wont even wear a jacket in since theres a decent chance they wont even have it when you get back -ahem, Union...), the bartenders and everyone. AJ especially, when he sees a guest needs something, hes on it. One of my party was not feeling well - wasnt alcohol, just dealing with some health stuff- and AJ jumped in got the whole group set up and comfortable, and saved the night for the other 4 of us so we could chill, drink, dance, hop in an uber, and call it a good night. Thank you Sky staff.
I had a very enjoyable experience here. The bartenders were friendly and definitely knew their craft. The music was easily my favorite part. Im a big EDM enthusiast and the dj was very good at his job. Overall my friends and I had a very good time here.
The security guards upstairs are thirsty for money. They favor to the bio table that throws cash even if they lie about women and take advantage by trying to throw anyone out who they wanna betray. Yet the table Brags about how pathetic it is when they pick upThe cash they throw. The vipTable to left is filled with men whoDon’t respect women and definitely don’t respect the staff that rather throw people out over pride than loose a couple bucks
You know its illegal to sell someone a drink and 2 minutes later say the club is closed and you have to leave?.... Per law your establishment has to be open 1 hour past the last alcoholic beverage sold. I bet the manager that had their fingerprints taken by the DABC for on premise consumption knows that...... You should train your staff.Im honestly really a big fan of how responsive just about everyone at the DABC is via email. You can email anyone down there and get a response in less than 24 hours. About anything! Questions, comments, concerns. For your own establishment or any establishment really. Like lets say Sky isnt following the DABCs rules.... All you need to do... Is send some emails.
The sound quality hear is BAD. Quite surprising for one of the biggest clubs in SLC. I heard they are working on it but Ive been to two shows, two months apart without any change. Wont be coming back here until they fix it. They have a lot of great artists come through but why pay for overpriced drinks and experience your favorite artists sounding badly?
Never again will I go here. The tickets were misleading, they don’t allow re-entry, and you have to pay extra to go anywhere other than the small dance floor. We paid $25/person to see Lil Pump. The ticket said 9:00pm-1:45pm. We got there at 10pm, and they just had UFC fights on the TV… Music didn’t start playing until around 11:00. We left at 11:45 and Lil Pump still hadn’t come out.Turns out Lil Pump did come out, AFTER we left. Not only were the times misleading on the tickets, but they didn’t allow re-entry so we couldn’t leave and come back.
We always get great service. Reasonably priced drinks with an upbeat fun environment. Not to mention Matt the security guy is always friendly and welcoming. He does an amazing job keeping it a safe and fun place to be.
Impatient and rude staff. It took about 45 minutes to get in the door, and once I got in, I was charged $63 for 4 shots of fireball. My friend tried to clarify the price of our drinks since $63 seemed pretty steep for 4 shots of fireball, but the bartender was adamant that 4 shots @ $12/piece = $63. I transferred $70 to my bank account, but somehow my bank account continued to decline the transaction, thank god because I was too tipsy to notice that I was being overcharged. My card kept declining even though I had transferred more than enough money to cover the tab. The bartendress became super rude at this point so I was like ok, fk off, and I left. She chased us as we left the bar but wouldn’t acknowledge that she had overcharged us by $15. Thank god my friend could do math in a semi-drunken state to realize that I was being overcharged. You can guarantee we won’t be returning to this bar.
Last week i’ve been in here for my first time, i came from seattle and now I’m in wyoming. I’ll be back again this weekend on saturday with the girl I’ve met in there.. i love this place tho, pretty clean staff friendly and seems people are chill here. See u on this saturday for last time before I’ve back to seattle..
One of my favorite downtown night clubs. It has usually been a great experience and I recommend it to anyone looking to go clubbing. They hold awesome events along with some big names. Drinks can sometimes be a hassle to get here either because the bar is full of people just standing there or bartenders ignoring you. Dance floor is nice and spacious. There is also more room upstairs and outside which I do enjoy.
The worst security! Jumped my friend and started punching him for no reason, ripped my friends shirt in half because he bumped into him, threw my girls on the ground and kicked us out for no reason unprofessional as hell!
Went to a show here a couple weeks ago and had a great time. The venue has a cool layout with a central dance floor surrounded by the tiered viewing areas. The sound system was good too!One weird thing was that my friends and I all ended up paying different prices for the same drinks, sometimes with the same bartender. But over all a great time and Id go back!
Sky is a great place to go when you need to let loose and just dance! They always have fun events to attend and their ticket costs are pretty fair if you ask me. I do think the drinks are a little pricey, but I’m not there for the drinks so that doesn’t bother me. They always have awesome photographers and good vibes there as well! Would recommended for a fun night out.
I always have a great night when I come to this club! The staff here are all so nice! I lost my phone and Matt who works there found it and contacted my friend so I could come pick it up the next day when they were closed instead of waiting days until they were open again. Overall great vibes!
I go out to clubs every weekend. Had never gone here before but when they had a Santa Night I was coming from a costume party and figured why not. This place wasnt good. . . and I didnt hate Area 51 for what it was so the bar isnt very high.1. There is no where to sit (an issue in high heels)unless you buy a table and a single person doing that doesnt make sense.2. No one was dancing = music sucks = uncomfortable3. It was next to impossible to get to the bar to even get a drink and when I finally did, they were WAY overpriced.I dont mind paying higher prices for nicer places but that is not what this is so the price point was a bit confusing. I had been told by several friends how nice and enjoyable it was and it didnt match up at all. Kinda bummed out my whole night.
Last night we attended a DJ event at Sky. To attend this event we each paid $33 for our tickets. We arrived around 10:30 PM and the club was very slow, which based on what we were hearing was from an improperly handled security situation the weekend prior. The main DJ that we came to see was not performing until midnight, so we decided to ask two different staff members at 11:00 AM if there was a re-entry policy. Both staff members at the entrance said “I don’t know, you need to talk to the security guard at the exit door.” Therefore, we decided to speak to the security guard, who stated there was not re-entry but he would be willing take an additional $30 in cash from us to allow us back in. I would also like to note, I attended Sky the weekend prior and was able to re-enter on two separate occasions. Security guards should not be allowed to enable company policies based on their own discretion and personal financial benefit. This was clearly an abused situation to pocket additional cash, after we already paid a decent price for our entry ticket. You had three guests that have highly enjoyed their experience at Sky on Thursdays in the past, who are now considering no longer visiting this establishment. It is very clear based on this experience and the experience shared by others that you have an issue managing professional security staff, that in turn is effecting guests wanting to return.
Worst night club in existence. $10 cover charge for what!? For overpriced drinks ($12) and the worst sound system you have ever heard! How can you dance with music from a dime store music box. The sound system had to be powered by a 10 watt amplifier, sounded horrible and distorted. No one was dancing, this is not a dance club its a sit club where everyone sits and no one dances! Because you cant dance to music without a discernible beat! I had hoped it was better than the last time i went and they played nothing but music without rhythm or any beat. Its worse now!
Sold over capacity, dangerously crowded. Dirty glasses, bartender served a beer of basically only foam and expressed the beer was warm knowingly serving an unacceptable pour. Do not come here...
My Bestie and I went to Sky on Saturday night for the first time, and it was the most fun I have had at a nightclub in years! We were so impressed by how friendly everyone was, including the bouncers, the bartenders and even the other patrons. We never waited very long for our drinks, even though it was busy. The DJs were awesome! They played a good variety of music styles, but always something that was easy and fun to dance to, and the amount of people on the dance floor was just right to have a lot of fun, but not be packed in like sardines. We also found that the clientele was very classy, and we did not run into any snobs or haters, which seems to be increasingly rare these days. This is absolutely my new favorite nightclub, and I am planning to get a big group of my girlfriends together and come back as soon as possible.
Staff is really rude and inconsiderate (Besides door girl Kelsey). The venue is always way over packed (almost impossible to walk through the crowd.) And there is no where to sit down. It’s great if you are already really drunk, but definitely not a great place to go otherwise. Also, the drinks are always watered down and twice as expensive as any other bar in slc. The only saving grace is the fact that they bring in great artists.
Not a bad place! Their phones don’t work to call in but overall a pretty good place with good drinks and music!
Sky is an awesome club. They put on amazing shows and have high-end artist perform there! I’ve never not had an amazing night! The bar is awesome and not too pricey! Perfect place to dance the night away but still close to home! ☺️
Great atmosphere! I love the bartenders, the bouncers are always saving the day, and it always feels like a safe place to make new friends and mingle. One of my favorite bars to go to, plus have you seen the layout and design? Genius👌🏼
Accidentally left my debit card there after they closed. Keep in mind I got 2 drinks which are around $10 each or so. Yet they charged me an additional $200 dollars. Why ? Couldnt tell ya the phones don’t seem to work and they were closed on a day they were supposed to be open. So I’m assuming they just gave themselves a hefty tip
Sky has the best clubbing line ups in Salt Lake. Hands down. But they also have the rudest staff in Salt Lake. Hands down. The dress code is overly strict on weekends and they pick and choose when to enforce it. The security are all douche bags and the bartenders will completely ignore you if you aren’t loud.If your looking for a luxury experience it’s not at Sky Bar.You’re better off heading to park city live if you can because you’ll have a better experience. If you only care about the music and are too drunk to remember the experience you’ll love sky.I’ve had a good time but more often than not I leave upset that the staff were so terrible. If you have ever been to a real luxury club you’ll quickly see this is not comparable.
Its definitely okay :) Just got to find the right group for you depending on what kind of music performers are there.A great time im sure for folks who actually drink 😸 Ladies at the front were just as starchy as they could be, God bless em 🥹
Elisa the bartender is one of the most inclusive and fun bartenders in Salt Lake. Great service, knowledgeable and an absolute joy to be served by
Horrible experience every time we come here. Bouncers give me weird looks before patting me down because of my outfits. Not lgbt+ friendly AT ALL. If you like feeling judged for being yourself, this is the place for you.
Great venue for EDM artists. Pretty clean for a club scene. Biggest con is the power tripping security check ID and tickets. Way too aggressive with no people skills what so ever. IMO theyre bunch of tiny meat bois power tripping.
So have been to Sky a couple times.the Good:MusicAtmosphereCleanlinessNice buildingFree water (as of 9/2016)Actually update and maintain their websiteGood crowdThe Bad:1 bar that is busy as hellMean ass bartendersSound system is good, but it is to damn loud and the only place you can socialize with people is there so called “patio” which is nothing more than a 4 foot walkway. This is NOT Vegas. This would Fly up in PC, but not so much here. Really dumb how they block off the upstairs. It would be much more memorable for people if they let people up there every night they are open. And I am sure they would get more tables and bottles sold if they let people up there. Not to mention this place is small and letting people upstairs would open it up. Door girls were bitching about people not wanting to spend money on coat checks making fun of them for not spending a ton of money in this pretentious ass place. I had a couple staff that were cool, but for the most part A VERY judgmental staff
A decent club with a few issues. The dance floor is huge and the retractable roof is pretty awesome. The music was a little too uptempo for my tastes as the BPM was close to rave tempos than slightly slower club dance beats. The music was sill top quality. Now the downsides. The main mixed drinks are only 1 once bases, but they charge the same price of 1.5 ounce drinks. If you want to get the most for your money you are better off getting the AMFs as they are only a few dollers more but 1.5× more liquor per drink. The worst aspect was the final tab. The bar automatically charges a 20% gratuity on any tab over $50. I dont necessarily have a problem with this practice, however I do have a problem with the the fact there is no signs stating they do this and it wasnt displayed on the receipt. The only way I was able to realize something was up was I asked for 2 more drinks, and the tab went up substantially more than expected. I asked the manager where their sign was stating they did this, and he wasnt aware of any. This is a pretty shady practice as Im sure most people would never know its going on without actually adding their tab up.
Horrible spot. None of the staff knows what is happening, the ATM literally ran out of money and the scheduling of shows is falsely advertised. I was charged, and aggressively confronted by a security guard for a drink I didn’t order. Finally ended up leaving at 12:15am when the advertised act still hadn’t stepped on stage. The show was stated to start at 9pm. All I saw was a dj playing 90’s songs.Bought several drinks, high point, draft, and mixed all at the very least 10 dollars with a tip. Outlandish pricing for Salt Lake, considering the options presented. The mixed drinks had underwhelming presentation and the service overall left much to be desired.Even the cigarette vending machine was sub par. 10 dollars a pack for low quality smokes.Overall it felt like a poorly run LA night club.Don’t waste your time or money at this establishment.
Sky always has such an amazing atmosphere! Great drinks and service! Definitely one of my favorite venues in SLC, I always look forward to seeing who they’re bringing next and Therapy Thursdays are awesome if you’re looking for a good time on a weeknight!
Sky is an amazing place hosting great shows weekly. They really do an awesome job of bringing in great talent every week, as well as keeping the building fun, full of good vibes, and safe. I would definitely recommend going there if you like to dance!
Really, this place is a 3.5, and Im rounding it up to a 4....I went here with a few friends, and a few more new friends and generally enjoyed my short time here. Here are my complaints: it was REALLY cold outside, and there were no heaters available. (Part of the reason why we left, was because there were a few that were getting too cold, and no one had brought any sweatshirts.)If you need to use the restroom, be prepared to wait A LONG time... Felt like there was a 10 minute wait to use the restroom, because they closed down the bottom half of the business.A few complaints, but it is a club... And I generally enjoyed my time here
I have no to complain about. Ticket prices are affordable. Staff has always been friendly and helpful with me. I dont think drink prices are that expensive. They have awesome artists who come play. Ive been to this venue countless of times and never have a bad experience.
DO NOT GET A VIP TABLE!!! It was not worth the money, I feel like it was very overpriced for what you get. Not only do you pay for the table they add on 20% at the end. The staff were nice and attentive and the club had a great vibe but I would just go and pay for the entrance and 3 drinks you’ll save more money that way.
Sound system is bad, security here arent professional at all whatsoever seems like the whole security team swordfights with each other before every show if you know what I mean haha. Drinks are way over priced too. This aint it V2. *update July 2023* this club is still trash, same with the security team. Nothing has changed. I ain’t ever coming back here. Mutiny Collective is a waaaay better promoter!
If you like lines youre gonna love it here. Because there were lines to get in (that didnt move because they were “at capacity”), lines to get a drink (only 2 bartenders on a saturday night) lines to go to the roof where the dj was (because they closed the entire main downstairs dance floor for some reason and once again were “at capacity”) There were even lines to go to the one stall bathroom (they closed the main downstairs bathrooms). I felt like we were in the doctor seuss book Oh the places you’ll go - stuck in the room of waiting. Waiting for nothing.Music was trash, once you finally got a drink it was expensive. Honestly embarrassing. The only reason we came is because it was the final stop/after party on our bar crawl. I’m probably gonna contact the company that put on the bar crawl to not have this place on it next time. Thats how bad it was. YIKES.
Place is alright. If they did not have good artists coming to the club I would not go. There is literally no where to sit when you go in... and really hard to even have a conversation. It was a good experience when I did VIP for my Bday... but I spent 800 dollars just to be able to sit down for a little while. Oh well.
This business needs a health department inspection. The glasses in the club are gross, the plumbing is leaking and staff are dangerous BACKGROUND CHECKS recommended. The police was onsite demostrating poor culture of the community every time the cops are at the club EVERY THING IZZZZ COOL
The first time I went to Sky was amazing. There’s room to dance, the structure is built nicely, the views you get of the artists are phenomenal. The service is quick & very proficient getting into the venue as well as getting drinks at the bar. This is the best club in SLC! 🤍
Sky is amazing! They have huge names in EDM every Thursday for Therapy Thursdays and great music the other days of the week. The staff is very friendly and I have never had to wait in a huge line to get in or get a drink. The sound system is killer. If you havent been to check out Sky you should absolutely go!
I know that party clubs are known to be boisterous and loud, but This one was just too much For me! Beverages cost too much and people were quite rude to ME. I cannot in good conscience recommend here when people could be going to a much more wholesome Place like the Padallio Apartments Nearby
Too loud, too many people. Saw What so not. It was a great concert, but kind of a dirty venue. I admit, it is difficult to maintain when there are so many people there, but Id like not to slip on vomit and feel grime and questionable fluids on the handrails. Its an ok place though. Lots of cute girls, not my type, a little too willing to grind, but if youre into that sort of thing then more power to ya.
I love sky! They constantly bring weekly shows featuring incredible artists, are always changing and enhancing their production, introducing new shows all while keeping the building clean. Don’t miss your chance to see a show here, it’s the best opportunity to see some pretty big artists in a more intimate venue
My first time going to a 21+ club in Salt Lake, I should say Sky is a really fun place to go to! Specially on your 21st birthday. The service is incredible, the tables are really spacious and you also have your private space, security is on top of it and what can I say about the music? AWESOME! EDM for the most but loved how they switched it for some hip-hop and trap in between! Definitely recommend!
Neat place, unique atmosphere. Slightly high prices. Almost everyone on the staff was just straight forward and there to do a job. Doorman was by far the most social and appeared to be happy doing what he does. Not a fantastic beer selection. Not a place I would frequent.
Amazing atmosphere. Been to some of the greatest shows there. Even when it was “packed” it was never over capacity and there were plenty of workers (security, bottle service, bar backing, etc.) Any scuffles I have witnessed were handled quickly and appropriately. Therapy Thursday’s and Energi Wednesdays are my JAM!
The bar tenders were very rude when ordering drinks. I would ask for one and they would sigh like it was so hard to do. If you don’t like your job then quit. The bouncers were also very rude when we would ask a question. Also not one but 2 if my friends had items taken from their coats at coat check. We called management and of course were to lazy to do anything about this. Would suggest going elsewhere and being treated with respect. I have never been to a bar that is a total joke, stealing and the rude unprofessional employees and management.
I do not recommend going to this club unless you have money for them to steal. We were told our table would be 700. When we looked at our bank account next day we were charged 1500. I have since tried to contact the bar and no one will return my calls or text. This is causing us financial issues and they could care less! I need my money back!!!!
I booked a table for my friends bachelor and bachelorette party! VIP was amazing they had so much fun and Matt the director , made cute flyers of their picture that was shown on all the tv’s throughout the night. We didn’t hear their DJ shoutout, which was probably our fault. Thank you to the security and bartenders, all very friendly and professional in dealing with my stubborn drunken mess. Worth every dollar to get yourself a VIP table here and I will most likely be doing it again for any party I need to have. The music was great the whole club was dancing this night.
Here a handful of times a month. Security is always great, and everyone is super nice! Is kinda lame they dont let people upstairs. But the floor downstairs is a decent size just have to be mindful of people heading to the bathrooms. They have to go right through the crowd. Otherwise, I love this place!
While at sky (tonight) I opened my purse to grab my chapstick and a security person walked up to me and aggressively grabbed my shoulder and instantly threatened me by saying “if you are vaping in here we will take your vape away from you and you won’t get it back until you leave.” It was just really unnecessary and far too aggressive for the circumstances. It honestly just made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the space. Also, the drinks are just way too expensive for what you get. You could spend 60 bucks and barely feel a buzz. Just not worth it.
My friend went to the bathroom *broken locks* theses girls barged in and started to use the bathroom RATCHET!the bouncer recognized we were actually in line first..The girls started to attack us and he pushed us off?No RATCHET girls please!
I started going to Sky almost two years ago because of the Electronic shows on Thursdays and the Bass shows on Fridays. Now, I go on Saturdays as well because its the best place for open format and even the theme nights there pop off! Sky is really working on listening to its patrons lately and wants to stay a great place to enjoy even greater music!
I have been trying to get in contact with the manager for days! Everyone please dont trust the people behind the bar. I had a few drinks and I noticed one more extra random charge on my credit card. I think its BS!! I also have tipped the bartenders who made our drinks. Everyone PLEASE KEEP ON EYE ON WHAT THEY ARE CHARGING!!! 0 star rating. This is the last time I ever go to that shady establishment.
This venue is incredible! I cant believe how amazing it is once inside! When they opened I didnt have the time to go for weeks, but would pass the venue regularly and I would be so heartbroken when I couldnt explore inside.Last night I went to my FAVORITE event so far with Doctor P & wow my body hurts from not being able to stop dancing. They are truly changing the game for our night life in the valley. I am so grateful to not have to go to vegas for this type of a venue experience
I am about to park in a well marked public parking spot in front of this place, and then the security guard tells me that I cant park there in a very aggressive way, I asked why, and then he very confrontational replied that I just cant. I moved to avoid conflict and then he says the same thing to the next driver trying to park. I decided to call parking enforcement, they said that they already talked to them asking them to stop doing that. They dispatched cops. I think we all can contribute to have a better community 😊 Power hungry bouncer!
Bought two tables here tonight as well as a ton of bottle service. I was able to take one shot of the bottle before they kicked me out. Because I “stepped over the line” of what they wanted. Will never come back. Never have a had a relationship like that tarnished after one visit. Go to tons of clubs nation wide and they never treat me like this.
200/10 would NOT reccomend to anyone to go here. The entire pandemic they didnt follow guidelines and held huge shows with 98% of the people unmasked. Staff is aggressive and rude. Drives are over priced and bartenders charge more whenever they feel like it. Multiple of my friends have been harassed in all sorts of ways here. Shut it down.
This is the best spot in SLC to see your favorite artists live. They have truly brought so much culture and amazing art to Utah. If you havent been to a Therapy Thursday or Energi Wednesday yet I would highly recommend that you do! Love going here every week.
Poor customer service. I was there first time . Bar Tender ask for tip every time I go for drinks . I get 9 time my drinks so have to pay every time my tips . They said it’s required to pay tips every time I go for drinks . I think that’s up to me if I am happy to their service I will pay tips . Why is the required to pay tips every time I go for drinks ! Doesn’t make any sense
Tickets can be either really cheap or really pricey. Bouncers are always on end to stop people from moshing. The music is really goood. Large selection of drinks as well.
They had a great DJ but it was just embarrassing that the sound cut off 3 or 4 times and they had to restart it. Also there were 2 mens restrooms that were clear to see and easy to find, but they must have hidden the womens bathroom.
Hands down, best club in SLC. The energy and vibe it puts off is amazing! Im a frequent patron at Sky, and its not like other clubs, the same thing every time you go. The music is always the best, and their sound system is off the charts! Its loud, clear and full of bass. The staff members are always so friendly, and looking out for their guests.Drinks are not over-prized like other clubs either, with fast bar service!
Only come in to get drinks from the best bartender in Salt Lake she always makes me feel welcome and heard Elisabeth
Bought my buddy a budlight for $8 while listening to bad music, overpriced and underwhelming but not a reason for a 1star review. The reason is that we declined the $2 to check our coats and instead set them on our stools while drinking, talking, and dancing. Every few minutes one or all 4 of us would be at our table. 30-45 min into the evening I see the huge body guard walking away with our coats and putting them in the coat check area at the entrance. I approached him and asked for our coats back to which he said we could buy them back for $5 each.....?!?!? After much arguing and debating I finally got my coat back, and the $5 they charged my friend. This is attempted theft. I will NEVER go back to a place that instead of taking care of their patrons, they exploit them. This is a very sleezy and unprofessional business model. I would LOVE to have a meeting with this owner!Stay away!- Douglas M
If I could only review the light show I would have to say very impressive and drop 5 stars down on this page but... Their online advanced ticketing website with about a 20% service charge is not desirable and took some of the fun away. The drinks were weak as well. My bias is for jazz and country which also contributed to supressed rating.
T only type of security this place is good at is In-security. Security crosses personal boundaries with guests at times and tries to enforce the rules that he doesn’t know on the public street that is separate from the business.
Over priced (but what isnt in slc) , the staff seemed incredibly uninterested in being there all night. One of the bartenders rolled their eyes over one of the drinks we requested. Womens bathroom sink didnt work all night 6/1
Absolutely love coming here for Therapy Thursday’s after a long day of work and let loose with my group! This is definitely my go to for a night out dancing as well! My first club experience when I turned 21 and Slander performed, wouldn’t have asked for a better first experience! 😍
Came for my bachelorette party tonight. Paid for a table, was kicked out by a pixy cut blonde for no explaination. I’ve had 3 bad vip experiences in under a year. Will never recommend anyone, even though I’m highly involved in the edm scene. I was pulled out and humilated on my big day. Was given zero information on why being kicked out, after how much my party spent after the bottle we paid for. Do not come here for a plur experience or professional. They will take your money and leave you with zero customer service. Ruined my big night never will I, or any of my connections return! #lawyerup
Absolutely 5 stars. everything about this club from the bouncer at the door asking how my night was going as he actually opened the door for me instead of propping it open. the bartenders were awesome when I wanted to try weird new drinks and fairly priced, and not to mention the perfect simple production with amazing sound! high class.
An exciting, fun, and elevated venue! There is nothing that performs the way Sky does in Salt Lake City. Incredible audio, lighting effects, and more. This venue is a bit pricier, but it is worth the experience, and nothing else compares to it in SLC. Definitely check it out!
Had an amazing experience with Alex, so fast and inventive but the biggest thing for me is I felt comfortable and safe around her bar
Sky is a wonderful nightclub with a great atmosphere. It is a little small and the drinks are more expensive than most bars, but its a nightclub so expect nothing less. Most Saturdays they have a free guest list that you can sign up for online. The DJs are off the charts and the sound system is phenomenal! If youre looking for a good place for EDM, definitely check out Sky!
The sound system is terrible. Sometime within the last year, something changed that destroyed their sound and I wont be back. Its disappointing to hear an artist you like sound so bad that you leave mid-set.
Security favors those that are financially inclined. I watched my husband, friend and GIRLfriend get hit in the face tonight, while only trying to calm down some coked out VIP patrons. This behaviour of both the patrons and the employees handling the situation is disappointing and scary for paying guests. I do not recommend going to SKY under any circumstances. Stay safe and have a fun memorable night elsewhere.
Best Premiere Nightclub in the City, HANDS DOWN
I paid for a pre sale ticket for a specific artist. The artist didn’t show up. I went to the bar that night and the bouncer told me I would be refunded. I have never received a refund. I have called multiple times with no answer, multiple messages have been left with no return phone call. What a scummy way to run a business.
Best music spot in SLC! Always a good vibe, security is respectful, bartenders are quick. The new lighting set up is insane! Always appreciate a night out at Sky.
The music was turned off because noise ordinance and cops were outside. When we first got in and the front desk didnt mention to us what was going on. We left after 15 minutes because they said the music might not be turned on again for the rest of the night. Didnt get my money back for cover and coat check and bouncer said we couldnt get back in even if the music did go back on. Horrible customer service well be taking our business elsewhere.
I liked coming here until one of the bar tenders decided to act arrogant to my friend and myself. He didnt even make her drink right so we had to ask a different bartender to remake it. Good call buddy, lets make it so unappealing here that women decide to go somewhere else. Youre also not even cute so Im not sure where the chip on your shoulder could have even came from because you have no bartending skills as well.
Ok club, music was decent, however the drinks once inside were insane. It cost my friends and $80 before tip for 3 rockstar vodkas and 3 jager bombs. Quite pricey for me. Good atmosphere, just need to readjust the prices for a drink there
This is probably the best new club in Salt Lake City in my opinion. No where else in this city can you find an atmosphere like this, it really does remind me of a Vegas style club. Very stylish and swanky decor. If you love house music, dance music, edm, whatever you wanna call it, youll love the music here. Theyre always bringing in very talented, big name and up and coming djs.Depending on the night you go the crowd can be really cool carefree people that just wanna dance and hear some good dance music, or they can be the kind of douchey self important club rats you might expect at a place like this. I usually go on thursday nights and the crowd is more like the former.A few things that bug me are the fact that they wont give you free water in a cup. Like even just tap water or something would be nice. Im pretty sure theres some kind of law that establishments like this are required to provide free water. Especially when youve got a friend thats had too much to drink and you just want to get them some water to sober them up.Also there tends to be a lot of broken glass on the dance floor from people dropping their drinks, so dont wear open toed shoes. All in all, this is my new favorite spot on the weekend and I would still totally recommend it.
Amazing club always thing the best djs from around the world. Clean. Place staff is always around to help out the sound. System and display are amazing. I want to say one of the best in town I been going there since it first open and never had a bad experience
This place is trash I love that most of the 5 star reviews are from the trash people that work here already. also please dont let FAMM entertainment bring any shows to your venue the CEO of that what so called label is a creep and a R-word.
Sky lounge sucks, no place to sit unless you pay for renting a table in which people are blowing vape smoke constantly. The bartenders suck, and only serve the people who are obviously weathly and have extremely high prices on alcohol. I do not recommend Sky Lounge, horrible business.
Sky is the greatest venue and club in SLC. It has state of the art equipment and leads the state alongside V2 in the EDM industry. Being a DJ there has been an amazing opportunity and personal part of my career, and theyve created a fantastic community of supporters throughout all of Small Lake City.
Sky always brings the best people to play at their venue. The atmosphere is amazing, and I have made the best friends there. And, they are always sending me discounts and opportunities to get in free!
Great atmosphere but drink are crazy expensive. 2 beer were $20. Avoid this place, there are better bars around the area that wont break the bank, meaning youll have a better time.
They charge a credit card convenience fee on every credit card charge. Then the bartender old me it was a tax. Yes an illegal tax on CC only but not on cash. It was a 10% convenience fee on my drinks. I sent the drinks back.Highly unethical establishment.
Always such a good vibe here, Wednesdays are the best with a lot of well known EDM artists! AJ always provides top tier customer service and the entire staff is always friendly! 10/10
This place literally gets more and more ghetto every time we go… bartenders are great, cocktail waitresses aren’t the best. Security/Owner is shady AF.
I love this place. Great atmosphere and vibes, awesome shows during the week with awesome production quality, and the weekends are super fun as well. Drinks are a little pricey but its worth it. I seriously just love Sky.
Venue was nice and a great set-up. Also, service was fast. But.... Whiskey on the rocks is not a shot of whiskey in a plastic cup full of ice. Also, water is NOT free. I had to buy a bottle water, they wouldnt give me a cup of water. $3 for water, give me a break.
I don’t know why but the sound here needs serious work. Absolutely no presence of highs. Couldn’t hear any vocals or synths of any opener or even the headliner Gorgon City. All you hear is bass *THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP*I didn’t pay 50 bucks to hear a subwoofer alone.
Elisabeth is the best bartender here. She makes me feel welcomed!
Top DJ talent comes through weekly on thursday nights. Drinks are average price. Great atmosphere which includes VIP tables, smoking patio and an upper level.
Watch out for the power hungry security guard at the door. Totally ruins your experience for the night before you even walk through the door. I know I am not the only on here expressing this concern. Sky is just owned by a bunch of crack heads who could care less about the experience they give to their customers.
No seating unless you pay for a table. Upstairs is closed off. Music is RIDICULOUSLY loud(not a place to meet ppl cuz you cant hear anyone), no variety, same genre with too much bass. The only thing I liked was the friendly & helpful staff.
Hands down the best club in Salt Lake City! Great music & sound, world class artists, and awesome staff. If you havent ever checked out Therapy Thursdays or Energi Wednesdays, youre missing out!
There for Fan X bash. It was a lot of fun for sure with the entertainment. I mean come on DJ Rufio. What killed it for me, the only time I wanted a drink for myself, I was completely ignored at the bar. The two bartenders were more worried about their conversation and plans for later that night. I actually had to walk away after 15 minutes and get my husband to get me a drink. When I finally got my drink, they didnt make it correctly (ammareto sour, she forgot the sprite ) and only filled it half way.... because of that experience alone, I would not visit again.
Hands down the best THERAPY you will ever get is at SKY SLC on Therapy Thursday. If you want to boost your confidence, feel safe and sexy....make sexy friends, dance, rock out or relax to the best edm DJs, and feel complete FREEDOM to be you....this is the place to be!!! The SKY security team is stellar!! Run by Keith....No body keeps the peace and secures the LOVE and good vibes better! I feel especially welcomed when I pull up to the front of Sky and see security guards like Tyson’s and Troy’s big sweetheart smile! I know that I can come alone...as a single woman, and dance the night away....not ever having to worry because the incredible security, like Frank, Jason, Jesus, Bailey, Tim, Tyreese, Shaq, Chris, Travis, Brandon and Bryson.... are absolutely keeping an eye out. The beautiful bartenders...like Mary, Scott, Ryan, and Mike always quench my thirst...the lovely girls at the front are also so welcoming! Greg, Jake, and David take me away to another dimension and SLAY every time with the outstanding visuals, sound, and lighting!! Ian keeps the place popping with great positive vibes and amazing world class talent! I feel like a celebrity every time the talented Sky photographers....Miguel or Sam comes by to take my picture! I just wish the pics could truly capture the deep healing that has happened because of SKY in my soul!! I feel reborn, rejuvenated, and better than ever! Thank you Ken and Andrew for making therepy Thursday my most favorite night of the week!
The supposed dress code here is a joke. They will let people in (for free) who are directly violating it with graphic tees, baggy pants and jerseys, but they wont let others in based purely on arbitrary choices by the security. For a bar that claims to cater to a higher-class, this place doesnt even come close. The hypocrites running this venue dont value their customers.
I love going to sky! Always a very upbeat and fun environment. the entire crowd is always very respectful and the venue itself is one of my favorites, especially on Wednesday and Thursday nights!
Dress code policy seems to single people out based on their race. Some people are asked to remove their ball caps and some are not. Petty. Decent setup, just wish they treated everybody fairly.
The energi Wednesdays and therapy Thursday nights are hands down the best place to be in the city. Always bringing the best artists and crews. Making sure everyone has a good and safe time.
One of the security guys looked at me up and down in disgust and didnt let one of my friends in because he didnt have a nice shirt. Utah has showed me how nice and equal people are but here they made me feel worthless, NEVER COMING BACK!!! I will also tell all my friends about this so they dont come here. That was so rude!
As a business owner. THEO is the epitome of a person who makes the business thrive. Best bartender in my books with nothing but smiles.
Trashy bartender Jedi is not normal, she has mental issues, she shouldnt be working there. I brought 6 guests and she was acting like she is the boss. This place is definitely needs better employees.
I always have a REALLY really fun time at Sky, I love Therapy Thursdays!! You go V2! But I was extremely upset when I looked at my bank statement only to find that the tip I left at sky for a BARTENDER NAMED PETER was jacked up. I bought 2 Evolution Amber ales and tip which Im pretty damn sure DOES NOT COME TO $27.94. Just saying. I wouldnt trust this so called bartender named Peter with your money.
One of the more consistent clubs in Salt Lake City. Great security, good sound and specifically the V2 events are great. They did some Sunday days at sky that were some of the best parties in the city.
When there is a cover and a select crowd inside its a classy venue. If you dont understand this dont come back lol. Bartenders are always knowledgeable and polite. This is definitely a dive bar scene with small music venues.
1 star until changes can be made. How many people you guys kick out the club and let back in, but Because your staff wants to be in their feelings and use their power, you guys have now lost out on a valuable customers.
The website posted that the cocnert wed be seeing starts at 8. It did not start until 10, and the owner seemed entirely unconcerned about the inaccurate information and just referred us over to his restaurant next door to kill the time. On a Thursday night, this made things very problematic and complicated in terms of getting home and getting up the next morning for work. We are currently considering letting these expensive tickets go to waste.
Drinks are over priced. Whiskey shot is 8.50. Good music highly recommend only going to 21 and over events. Unless you like being tagged and herded around the place.
Sky is one of, if not, the freshest club in Salt Lake. Its a vibe, the open floor format is nice for grooving, the staff are relaxed yet professional, the music brought is unmatched, the crowds are friendly and lastly, the location sits smack in the middle of downtown culture.
The best club in slc. Staff is always friendly. Drinks aren’t over the top expensive. All around good vibes.
Amazingly fun atmosphere, truly the place to be on Thursday’s/Wednesday. They vary from Latin nights to bringing EDM djs. Always a good time:) and easy access to parking and other locations
Fun place and really the only one like it in SLC, but the sound system is too loud for the size of the venue. I have had loud ringing in my ears for weeks. Invest in some earplugs designed for concerts.
Great place to get your weekly dose of bass therapy. Fun and friendly staff. Awesome bartenders. Best place to let loose and dance on a Wednesday or Thursday.
Decent size venue. Not super packed. Doors are backwards and huge in girls restrrom and complicated to get to. Bar is easily accessible and there is a place to smoke or chill outside.
This club is the closest to the Vegas atmosphere that we have in Utah. I love that they bring my favorite artists. The vibes amongst the crowd and the staff is always amazing.
Matt was wonderful security with security and was so polite & respectful! This show was great thanks to him!
They have fraud transactions on my debit card.Service was more like trailer trash not high class..
Came to see The Game. He performed 4 of his own songs 1 Verse each and made his DJ play everything we had listened to while we waited for him to show up….
Security keeps bugging about my hoodie after I already payed for them to take it paid 5$ I go get it and he comes in telling for the 5 th time no hoodies allowed even the check in girl told him he’s going outside to go smoke still told me that I have to check it in will never come here. felt profiled by security don’t come here if your trying to have a good time!
