My favorite spot in Clearwater! If you can go in the off season, its so worth it. (Just a bit too overcrowded for me during spring breaks but thats expected. But fall can be gorgeous but be flexible with hurricane season.) Such great rooms, love the pool and the beach option. Service everywhere is superb. Never had a bad meal or drink there. Spa was fantastic too.
We stayed here recently and we loved it! Everybody was so nice and helpful! ESPECIALLY VALENTINA! She greeted us everyday and was so nice! This lady is so great and really made our stay so enjoyable! Also the hotel has lots of family friendly activities and is right on the beach with a great pool. 5 stars all the way!
Absolutely gorgeous resort right on the beach. Fancy without being pretentious. Kids love it. Walkable to so many great restaurants. Love being able to easily bounce back and forth between the pool and beach. Restaurants on property are high quality, had some great lunches and drinks at Tate Island Grill. Can’t imagine anyone not liking it here! Second trip this year and can’t wait to be back next year.
Do not go here if you want a quiet resort. For the price of these rooms I expected more. The rooms are very nice and it was updated. The beach area is very nice but they charge you $30 for an umbrella which I find insulting after charging me a resort fee for what. The pool area is so crowded with kids and parents drinking all day. Cant even get a chair unless you get up at 8 am. Not a very classy pool area. Restaurant on property is good but the waiters are rough around the edges with their style of service. Would not recommend this place unless you have kids.
The Sandpearl resort was truly amazing and we highly recommend this resort. From the time we step into the resort and up to our last day, we received top notch customer service from all the employees; especially Lily, Valentina, and Santos. The resort is so clean and decorated beautifully. The rooms are newly renovated with ample space and quiet. The beds and pillows were very comfy. The pool is the perfect size and you can order food and drinks by the pool; comfy padded chairs too! A huge plus is that you are right on the beach with a private access and many chairs/cabanas. There are delicious restaurants at the resort or in walking distance. They offer a shuttle service to others places on the island of Clearwater, and so many additional amenities and things to do. It was a wonderful and relaxing trip. We were extremely pleased and can’t wait to return soon! A true hidden gem in Clearwater!
The experience was overall great. I docked one star, only because we rented a suit, beautiful, by the way. Full kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, huge bathroom with a very large tub, the works!. But, on my first shower, the shower handle came completely off in my hand. They did resolve the issue immediately and got it fixed, we just then had to wait for a curing period on the repaired nozzle before I could shower.Aside from that...The hotel itself is nice, though some aspects of their esthetics seem rather dated to me. The pool was quaint but cool, overlooking Clearwater Beach with an adjacent restaurant that also serves adult beverages. The big plus is that you can walk anywhere! The beach, restaurants, local venues, the pier, every water attraction offered there, and all the shops. On that evening, if you ate at the in-house steak house, valet parking was free! (Have some cash to tip the valets) Im not sure if that is an everyday thing, but my guests found it delightful.Overall, this was a great time, though I will warn you. Leave early to get to the hotel. The traffic is insanely long and slow, especially in the later part of the morning.Hope this helps!
Where to begin? Incredibly friendly staff, everyone is so nice and helpful (no matter how intoxicated you may be)The onsite amenities are everything you could want for a good vacation.Carettas on the Gulf is excellent, they will provide room service at some hours and the service is great. The private beach is a GOD SEND. Make sure to get out early to get a good seat in the front row.The pool was cleaned daily and well maintained, dont miss the adult hot tub on the other side of the pool. (The kids one is kinda gross)The building itself is beautiful and even has a Starbucks in the lobby as well as a well appointed store. The resort itself is perched on a decent hill, well out of view once youre inside. The only things you see are the other resorts and the beach.Housekeeping staff is excellent and friendly.Bill over at the Tate island grill is also excellent and deserves a raise or something, he took care of us about every single night. The location is convenient and has MANY restaurants within walking distance and a very well stocked liquor store in the place right next door.Absolutely stunning entrance way and a grand lobby with a beautiful player piano.
What a truly wonderful experience. Me and my husband came here for our first wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. All of the staff, the on-site restaurants, the beach, and the views were phenomenal. Definitely ready to come back
Fantastic resort!! Arrived very stressed and am leaving a new woman! Relaxing atmosphere, wonderful people!!! Shout out to Lucy at the front desk, her supervisor Beth, and Jose at the Concierge desk. Right on the beach...wonderful oceanview suites, and the service is incomparable! Booked again for September.........the Sandpearl is a resort like no other........includes weekly activities for the entire family. Pearl white sand and cleanliness is outstanding! Loved my stay!
Our favorite vacation spot. We have stayed at sandpearl four times and have had a great experience every time. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and lobby are always clean and tidy. The view from the gulf front rooms are the best. Our kids love the resort pool and the beach access is amazing. We look forward to returning every time we have left.
Had an amazing experience celebrating my daughter’s 23rd birthday at the Sandpearl resort. Great location, amenities, and WONDERFUL staff. Valentina was so pleasant each day greeting us! Everyone made us feel welcome.Loved renting the day beds on the beach. Dinner at Caretta’s was exceptional! Great views with nice outdoor seating!
Wonderful location, wonderful staff, wonderful atmosphere however, I really wish there was an adults only version of this resort. It would be nice if I didn’t hear the heavy footsteps of children running around early in the morning or screaming at the pool. Otherwise, an almost perfect vacation
This is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are spectacular and most have at least a partial view of the gulf. Friendly staff, beautiful pool, outdoor food and bar. Private beach area with cabanas and chairs with umbrellas. Inside piano, restaurant and more. Walk through shops and restaurants. Never disappointed.
We had the best time at this resort. Loved getting mimosas from sweet Valentina and even got to cheers her on her birthday. Everyone was super friendly and the place was very clean. Great location!
Stayed for one night in March and it was a horrible experience. Tried to get lunch when we first arrived and waited 8 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Served the wrong food and on top of that the chicken was undercooked. Waited for 15 minutes before asking a different server to help, then instead of apologizing for disappearing, she just blamed it on the kitchen. Pool area was ok but then we were given ripped towels with stains on them. The bathroom had no toilet paper in 3 out of 4 stalls and there was MENSTRAL blood on the toilet seat and floor. Room had a mildew smell to it. Submitted a review on Expedia soon after we came home but it somehow disappeared so I resubmitted. I was contacted soon after by the Front Desk manager but was unable to answer. I have since left 4 messages for him and 2 messages for the Assistant General Manager over a 4 month period with no responses. Now not only was our experience awful and disgusting but the management is Unprofessional. If you dont intend on speaking to me to try to make it better, why call me in the first place? Do not recommend.
We drove 90 minutes to have lunch here in a Sunday, only to be told that all they have for lunch is their Brunch Buffet! Nowhere on their website does it say that. Absolutely nowhere. Our friends drove that far too. That is not what we came for. We came for lunch and that is what is listed in your website is “lunch”. There is no mention of a “brunch buffet”. We ended up at the island grill which was pretty good. Service was slow (kitchen) but all in all a totally disappointing visit. Will not go back.
Loved my stay here... Was at a business conference and the conference facilities, staff and food were world class. Liked my room, though I would have like an ocean view. The sand is like powder and terrific — I didnt get a chance to get in the water.Highly recommend. Its also a few steps from Clear Sky Cafe, named one of Yelps 100 Best Brunch Places in America.
Had a fantastic stay celebrating our 20th anniversary. Matt at the activity desk gave us great biking options (Dunedin was great!) and Valentina greeted us with a big smile and champagne every day making us feel special. The shuttle took us anywhere we wanted to go.Lots to do, amazing beach and clear water. Saw a manatee in the water right in front of the resort along with dolphins in the area at night. The Kayak trip they recommended was also fantastic. Luis took us through the mangroves and we saw dolphins up close.A great place to celebrate any occasion or just enjoy some down time.
I went with my mom for Mother’s Day and everything was going great until 24hrs in I was notified the valet had backed a truck into my car causing damage to the front end. They expressed how they would make it right and fix it, I would just need to reach out at a later date. I offered to sign a release to help the process go quicker. I had spent over $1500 on the room, plus parking, resort fees, umbrellas etc, but had to ask they comp my parking considering my car got wrecked. Go to check out and parking was still on there, plus extra umbrellas I didn’t purchase. They at least took off parking eventually. Go home, fix my car (another $1000). Reach out again to see how it will be, waited some more. Then told we need to get a form notarized to free them of more responsibility. No “I’m sorry”, no “please come back again”. I get they don’t want to “admit” guilt for whatever legal reasons but customer service goes a long way and we felt far from wanting to return ever again.
UPDATE: The issue was handled promptly and a compensation was provided which we appreciate. We’ve gone on to enjoy our stay immensely! It is a beautiful location. It’s very unacceptable to be spending $400+ per night and to find hairs (a mix of long and short) and a huge, yellow toenail with black dirt clung to it on the bathroom floor when checking into the room. You’d think the higher price point would reflect a clean environment, but clearly this is not the case. Sandpearl prides themself on offering “luxury rooms” and “laid-back elegance”… it is not luxurious or elegant to have someone’s body hair and toenail in your room. I came here based off of good reviews to celebrate my college graduation, but what a different experience I’ve had from what these reviews have claimed. Ultimately it is a reflection of housekeeping not being thorough with their cleaning. My aunt and I are here until Tuesday… let’s see what can be done about this.
Amazing resort! Spent our honeymoon here last year and will be here every anniversary going forward! Staff is great, We come to get away and relax, and the resort gives us exactly what we came for thanks to the entire staff!
The staff is not that friendly, mostly the front desk. The property is okay but the JW is 100% better. The mattress is like from a liquidation sale corner store for a property that’s supposed to be high end. I wouldn’t come back or try any of their Opal properties. Not worth it. The only thing I can say was a decent experience is the restaurant.
Sandpearl Resort is a fantastic place to stay. The property is beautiful, the rooms are great and the staff is fantastic. The resort fees are a bit pricey and your only parking option is valet so the charges add up. But it is well worth it. You would not regret booking a stay at Sandpearl. We have been staying there for the past six years. #SandpearlResort
I have not stayed here, but recently went for a spa day with friends. Let me say, the deep tissue massage I received was phenomenal, which is what the 3 stars are for. The facilities, on the other hand, leave something to be desired. The large indoor jacuzzi with jets was alright, but there was mold on the wall tiling visible. That’s the only place you’re allowed to chill after the treatment. I asked a member of the team if we were permitted to the outdoor pool and he said no. So you get your treatment and then you can go in the jacuzzi which has some lounge chairs around it. That’s it. It was just a bit bleh.
Was late letting us check in. Only 30 minutes or so. Every second counts. We were here four hours in advance. Your computer system was new and wouldn’t let you do XYZ? Not my problem. Figure that out before you launch the new system. I will tell everyone I ever meet for the rest of my life not to book here ever. Thanks
Rooms have been nicely updated since my last trip, the renovations seemed to create some plumbing issues though, we had clogged showers in several of the rooms we had (and rooms were on opposite sides of the building), however the staff was quick to respond and address. Restaurant options, including pool and beach side food, are excellent.
Enjoyed a fantastic stay at Sandpearl in Clearwater Beach with my wife and 3 kids. We had a ocean-facing suite and the room was very nice. It had a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area, with 2 balconies and laundry in the bathroom closet. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The restaurant could use some updating, but otherwise pretty good.
This hotel is great I’ve stayed many times. Only downside is the pool area fills up extremely easy… there are literally people down there in the early morning reserving many seats for the day. Also, the beach chair rentals fill up very quickly so more should be added.Service is always great in the lobby when checking in and the concierge. Carretta on the Gulf food, service, and atmosphere are all great as well.Bar service by the pool, on the other hand, I’ve had multiple unfriendly encounters. They recently began renovating the rooms but they could do a better job cleaning them. The past few times I’ve stayed there has been residue on the mirrors, dirt stuck in crevices in the bathroom and bedroom, and also sand everywhere. Also there is something called the “beach membership” where if you pay you can use their pool even if you’re not staying there which allows for the pool area to fill up extremely quick. This is a beachside/pool resort where you spend your whole day outside and there isn’t nearly enough room for all the guests. Sandpearl should consider expanding it. Also SO many screaming children in the pool the whole day… Altogether I would recommend though.
Our family vacation at the Sandpearl Resort was pure magic! From the kid-friendly activities to the spacious accommodations, every detail catered to our familys needs. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. We created cherished memories together that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend this resort for families looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and fun!
Upgraded to a partial beach front view. Recieved that along with a full view of the dumpster right below me. Was unable to enjoy the balcony because of the smell coming up from below. One morning I even got to view a disregarded toilet and old holiday wreath next to the dumpster. Every morning by 5ish very loud trucks were coming and going and well not going. They would park under my balcony and just sit in idol for hours. It was loud enough that I needed ear plugs. I live in the city and I am used to loud noises but this was excessive and an upgrade. What the hell is the standard room like? One early morning I was awoken by the cleaning staff yelling at each other from one room to another while cleaning with complete disregard of any hotel guests. Another morning I awoke to service crew outside my door with some kind of construction cart with 2 men talking very loudly to each other. They were not just walking by. They had their cart parked right outside my door an to top it off they were playing music at full blast on their cell phone. Both times I had to open my door and kindly ask them to keep it down. The 1st and 2nd night during my stay I ate at Tates Grill on the property. Its more of a casual restaurant. The 1st night was great had peel and eat shrimp and it was delicious and paired well with the warm weather and sunset. Went back the 2nd night for more of the same however, once I got back to my room I felt ill and got very sick that evening. With an very empty stomach I was starving late at night. I discovered a late night menu at the very very very bottom of the online menu under the kids.... Keep going all the way past the alcoholic drinks. I ordered a simple buttered noodles because it was the safest sounding option. What I received was litterly a bowl of butter like almost over half full of butter with noodles. I managed to salvage them by draining the ungodly amount of butter out of the bowl. My gf and I headed to the spa on site one day for a massage. The staff was great, we were provided slides and a robe and allowed to enjoy the womens room before and after our massage. We enjoyed a cup of tea however the jars holding peppermint and ginger must have been very old because the peppermint crumbles were one solid piece and unusable, we moved on to the hot tub area and it was nice until I noticed the very large grout line with black mold on it and what looked like frog eggs in the water. Thats the only way to describe it. We quickly got out and tried the steam room out. However were pretty turned off because there was a wet used swimming suit on the bench leaving it less than desirable to sit in there not knowing if it were really clean or not. The over all feel of the hotel was grand with a feel of history. What would have been wonderful is some information given about the land and original hotel that had been there. Even better a little history provided by the staff. I felt like it was a missed opportunity. The restaurant that is located in the hotel and is a higher end destination was a wonderful experience. The scallops were amazing and the staff made the experience even better. The pool area was ok, they certainly packed in as many lounge chairs as possible with no indicators why some that sat empty all day right in front of the pool with opal towels on them were even for or if that was an optional update it would have been nice to know. The wait staff was sparce and the birds will attack before or during your attempted snack time so be aware and cautious. The staff did absolutely nothing to help us as we were swarmed by the birds, such as take the finished food away in a timely mannor. The hotel excelled at always providing clean towels, grooming products and sometimes too eager to clean my room daily. I had to turn them away a few time because I wasnt ready to leave yet. I spoke with one of the assistant managers after playing phone tag a few times and was given a 200 credit back however, I will say for the cost and the credit comparison it wasnt really a satisfactory outcome in my favor.
My family and I love coming to the Sandpearl. We love the rooms, the food and most of all the customs we service is great. It is walking distance to shop, bars and restaurants. The pool is really my e and the beach is beautiful. We visit every year.
The hotel was beautiful and the pool was great to relax next to. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet a couple days at Caretta on the Gulf located on the same floor as the lobby. The negative experiences started when trying to get chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for the room before we arrived but passed to several different people until finally was given a direct contact no. Once we arrived at our room we found garbage left in a couple drawers (we did mention it upon check out and were given $150 credit towards the room). Our biggest complaint would be while we were out to dinner the last night of our stay we returned to our room and noticed housekeeping had come in the room and left chocolates on the nightstand. Unfortunately, they also decided to open drawers and go through our personal property and while nothing was stolen it is a complete invasion of privacy by any hotel employee!
Scheduled a last minute getaway with my two sons. This resort was perfect. The hotel rooms, activities and pool were all perfect for kids and teens. The location on the beach and the beach club and pool club are both gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love how the rooms have small fridges. The Nespresso was much appreciated and always restocked with my favourite pods daily. The kids loved the lobby and magical piano. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sandpearl! Our kids have loved the beach, the pool and all the other activities! The service is excellent and they rooms are spacious and clean! Don’t miss the breakfast buffet at Carettas, the Skinny Pina Colada at Tates and stunning sunsets on the beach! We can’t wait to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandpearl Resort. The rooms and staff are fantastic. The beach is very nice and kept up well. There are a lot of nearby eating and shopping options within walking distance.
Friendly faces and service from the minute we walked through the doors .Rooms spotless … food excellent .. ambiance exquisite, Pool perfect (sea gull’s kept at bay) location great!Money well spent . Thanks again.
I was just at the Sandpearl for a company conference. The hotel is beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond. Their breakfast buffet is delicious too! Housekeeping did a great job cleaning my room, and were always super friendly when I had the chance to interact with them. The location is super walkable to the main strip, with cool bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Cant wait to experience this hotel again!
I truly wanted to give the Sandpearl a higher rating, but after thinking about it, I just could not. They broke a piece of our luggage and did not take ownership of it until I called them out on it, we had a tv in our room that randomly would flip back to the homescreen and then flip back to the channel we were watching, and they upgraded our room to a smaller room that overlooked the dumpsters with not discussing with us first. The pool and beach are very nice, the poolside service was what was expected and the location is nearly perfect.
My family had a wonderful week at the Sandpearl. Very kid-friendly resort. We loved the zero-entry pool, the proximity to the ocean (we could see dolphins from our gulf-front room), and the walkable location to many shops and restaurants.Note to parents with younger kids: The activities desk near the pool offers beach and pool toys and kids lifejackets/puddle-jumpers, which is very much appreciated (one less thing to pack)! Our family enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Carettas each morning - the spread was great and service was excellent. All hotel staff goes above and beyond to ensure guests are happy - a sincere thank you to Lucy (front desk) for understanding and resolving our room issue promptly. The resort also offers beach yoga, which I especially loved. They partner with Radiate Yoga, who hosts adult and parent/kid yoga classes Thursday - Sunday. I sincerely enjoyed practicing on the beach with my daughter Sunday morning (guests can sign up at the resorts spa desk) - it was a true gift. Special thank you to our instructor, Gabby!Overall we had a great trip - we will be back!
Don’t waste your money. They didn’t have our room ready when we came to check in. Then forgot to let us know when they did finally get the room ready. I had to come back to the front desk a few hours later to find that had been ready for hours. They apologized and said they would have our luggage brought up to the room, but it never came, I had to go to go and find the room they hid it in and bring my luggage up myself an hour later. 2nd day we are in our room and the door opens, they mistakenly checked us out and gave the room to a new family. Our cards stopped working and we could not get back into our rooms, I called the front desk and they told me that I would just have to hang tight till they figured it out. 3rd day the TV stops working, won’t turn off and won’t change channels, it is 9:36 at night and they can’t figure out what’s wrong and my kids just want to go to sleep…. I still have 3 more days here but for the amount I paid I will never come back. Still sitting here waiting for them to fix the TV…
Definitely The BEST resort in the area. Would recommend. Rooms are completely brand new with complete remodel finished in 2024
Best kid friendly but not kid overwhelming resort ever! Down to even being able to ask for toys and boogie boards at the pool desk. S’mores every night and champagne when you check in! We loved the over and above service from the time we checked in and Michael in concierge helped us so much. We also had so many employees who went above and beyond like Devin at the Carettas restaurant and Doc at room service as well as Matt at the pool all made our trip one to remember. It was so special that Christine at the spa helped us with individual requests and overall we definitely will be back!
Threatened to call the police and have us removed because they didnt believe that my partner was a guest of the hotel while myself and his sister were in the water. Realized their mistake once we returned and demanded they check again, but at that point, the weekend was ruined and we left a day early. After reading other reviews, this seems like a common problem at this hotel.
I attended the complimentary yoga here on the beach, and it was absolutely incredible. The teacher was amazing and gentle. She event brought crystal sound bowls out! I suggest attending whether you’re a beginner or a more advanced yogi. Was told there is a class every Sunset 6pm on Thursdays and mornings 9am Friday-Sunday.
Fabulous resort with great amenities and immaculate. Very professional and friendly staff, a very 5 star establishment right on beautiful Clearwater Beach.
Fantastic experience, really incredible. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The staff were all fantastic, I can’t recommend this place enough. Thoughtful presentation, the decor was impeccable, provided with mimosas upon arrival. The room we stayed in had a wonderful view of the beach, I really enjoyed that especially during the sunset. The soaps and shampoos provided were quality products that we all thought was better than any other hotel I’ve ever been to beside the trump tower. Even the Wynn products in Vegas can’t compare to these. The pool is very child friendly, they have life jackets to borrow for kids if they can’t swim well, but much of the pool is actually not very deep and there is a portion of the pool that is low enough for even my one and a half year old to play without any worries. The two hot tubs were very nice, although one of them was quite dirty each day I was there so I always just used the one in the corner. Access to the best is unbeatable, there is a small gate that you use your key card for to reenter and exit directly onto the beach, truly one of the most special parts of the resort. There was a piano in the lobby that played itself and that always set the ambience a level higher, very pleasing to hear. Also, conveniently located right next to a few fantastic restaurants like Frenchies and this incredible ice cream shop across the street. Only 2 blocks or so to a CVS if you need anything you might have forgotten when you packed for your trip. The poolside service for drinks and light food was great, they were very accessible as they walk around all the time. The only thing I recommend is that those birds will boldly try to come and snatch your food so be careful, I gave a left hook to one and he must have told his friends because none returned to my region but kept antagonizing others. All said, this is probably one of the top 10 resorts I’ve been to in the United States, and I’ve been to a lot of great ones but this stands out.
Still here so fingers crossed it gets better, but in 24 hours since arrival we had our room not ready on time, the door in between our adjoining rooms broken, our refrigerator/ freezer broken and leaking water all over the floor (and melted all the ice cream we purchased), oh and no hot water! I guess it must be worse for the brides having their wedding here - glad it’s just me and my young kids.
Great resort. Attended for work conferences several times and always enjoyed it. I told my family how nice it was so i wanted them to experience it. Booked a 3 night stay which was really pricey but figured it would be worth it. Had a change to our schedule a few days before the trip and decided to add an extra day. I could not modify the reservation online but while attempting to do so I discovered that a 4 night package was much cheaper. I contacted the reservation group and unfortunately they could honor that price because it was cheaper than what they had already collected from me. They were not willing to honor the 4 night package so I ended up paying $1200 more than I actually needed to. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service from the reservation group.
Amazing hospitality from Richard, John, and JoJo in the catering events department through planning a wedding at the Belleview! The Sandpearl staff did a phenomenal job executing both our Rehearsal dinner and reception. Highly recommend!
Local getaway..surpassed all expectation. Exceptionally clean. Beautiful art and decor. Could use more dining options.. but the grill was great could not get into Carettas plan ahead for that. Busy spa could not get in plan ahead.
We didnt stay in the hotel but had several meals here. Bar is beautiful. Staff amazing. Food is excellent.
Beautiful resort. Make spa reservations before you get here if they are in your list of things you want to do. A little pricey though. Everything I mean Everything has a charge on it. Other than that. Great staff Beautiful resort.
Me and my girlfriend were staying here for Memorial Day weekend and we were checking out this morning to head home. We decided to have a drink on the outside bar on the beach. In the middle of our drink the manager had us escorted off because my girlfriend had a service dog with us. There is a sign up front that says only service dogs allowed and her dog is an official service dog with paperwork and documentation that says as such. (Not an emotional support animal). The manager disregarded the documentation of proof of a service dog, accused her for lying and had us leave. I believe the manager name is Dan. Very rude and uneducated on the laws of service animals. Because of this experience I will never be back.
Im a local customer, I visited the bar and had the opportunity to enjoy Caretta Restaurant, I went yesterday to say hi to some of our friends are in the hotel, the manager Santiago very nice gentleman told us that we needed to leave because we arent in the hotel, obviously we didnt have an bracelet on ours hands, I understand it my recommendation its if dont want local customer around put or divide the bar area to people dont go into the pool area , like that nobodys going to feel uncomfortable how I was. I had planned to reserve in the restaurant while that uncomfortable situation I changed my plans.
What a exceptional experience! Loved staying here. This hotel is a destination, the rooms are spacious and exquisitely decorated, the bed is comfy and pillows a dream. If that has not already made you find them let me tell you more. Their valet was great, the front desk night crew provided exceptional service and I was arriving late! They where diligent in processing my check in and offered a glass of bubbly so we could relax! They offered suggestions at our request for local food and sent us on our way. Lobby is beautiful and it smells divine. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Let talk about the view, both ways just gorgeous. Breakfast buffet, their in no other way to go! Delicious, everything, the staff was great, our server and the man who made our omelet and fresh chocolate chip waffles where ⭐⭐⭐. Dit outside, on the corner table, enjoy the view and please dont feed the seagulls any bacon ( they love it). Check out was just as easy and a glass of mimosa! Kudos to you all for exceptional customer service and beyond! Until I have the pleasure of visiting you again friends of the Sandpearl!
The staff here are atrocious. Was constantly barraded with security insisting I didn’t belong here, constantly asking for my name and room number, yet never checking any sort of database to “verify” we had a booking like they insisted they were doing. Just walking up with their smug attitude, saying “you don’t look like you belong here” and then insisting that we go through the verification process… honestly ruined the whole experience.
I’ve been here 3 times and every time it’s absolutely perfect, it’s surprising anyone could give less than 5 stars. Amazing vibes, great service, definitely worth the price.
This resort is ideally located right on the beautiful white sand beach in Clearwater! Considered one of the finest hotels in the area, I have to tell you the location you just can’t beat it! From the crab festival. It happens in October to the local events in the neighborhood. This location is walking distance to everything that you want to see in Clearwater we were there for Christmas dinner which was wonderful in the hotel. Beautiful entrance has a very nice indoor outdoor field to the hotel but the big kicker to stay here. Is that outdoor pool, the lighting, and that location right on the beach can’t beat it!
As a wedding planner for Cherished Ceremonies Weddings I highly recommend Sand Pearl Hotel on Clearwater Beach! We had the privilege of planning/coordinating a lovely wedding at this hotel and the ceremony spot on the beach was a perfect setting ofr a beachfront wedding, the staff was very accommodating to everyone through out the evening and we enjoyed this venue very much!
Amazing Resort. Special thanks to Valentina and Lucy at the front desk. They made our arrival an unforgettable experience.
My daughter and I spent three days and two nights in July as a mother/daughtervacation. It was spectacular! I want to specificallymention one of the managers, Lee, and one of thefront desk associates, Lucy. They were bothincredibly nice and accommodating. Thank you bothfor making our experience even better. All the staff, from valet, to resort, to spa, to eating spots, werewonderful! Everyone was so pleasant! I have onlypositive things to say. I highly recommend thislocation as a yearly vacation destination! I am now!The resort, the spa, the beach...all beautiful. Whilethere and after you leave, you will feel relaxed and joyous!
Well... Wish I could give this hotel a better review, the facility and the location are great. The humans that run/work at this facility and horrendous. If youre looking for a place that treats the guests like criminals, then this is the place for you! Every staff member is quick to let you know that you youre wrong and whatever youre doing is against the rules! Everyone is incredibly rude to the point that we had to move the rest of our stay somewhere else. If you choose to stay here, enjoy! Youll be paying $100/can fine while sit on the beach!
My wife and I had a great experience at the sand pearl resort in Clearwater. We called in to request a copy of our checks from the restaurant and were transferred to accounting associate Kimberly Portillo who was super professional and helped us to obtain copies of our receipt from October so we could expense them with my work. The resort was amazing and we recommend staying here if you’re in the Tampa/clearwater area.
I definitely recommend this resort for anyone with kids as the resort is very family friendly. I would look for a different place if you are looking for a couples retreat or such. The service is top notch, all the employees were super friendly and always smiling. The biggest drawback for me was the very deep beach. I prefer a hotel closer to the ocean. Also the chairs provided by the resort were way too far away from the water so we didnt use them.
Beautiful resort on a GORGEOUS beach! Were treated with much importance by all staff members. Pool was really nice & had lots of seating around it. Bar next to the pool had great food. Had activities we could do every day, so we signed up for the Sealife Tour at Clearwater Aquarium. Only issue was the construction going on above us in our room, but they quickly changed us. & it was a great upgrade; we had a larger balcony space than most other rooms. Overall, wonderful experience!
We stayed here in May to celebrate our 15 year anniversary, and the staff was amazing!! We had to go to Florida for our friends wedding, but decided to book a few nights here to celebrate us! The staff upgraded our room to a junior suite, and continuously asked us if there was anything else they could do for us. The sunsets, the pool, the accomodations, all of it was perfect! We dream about going back!
We absolutely love this hotel.- The rooms are beautiful and spacious- the pool and service by the pool is exceptional- there seems to be very little turnover with their staff, and they all treat the guests like they truly appreciate you and want you to enjoy your time there.- The front is on the main strip, and the back is on the beach.- you couldnt ask for more from the experience they deliver
Love everything about this hotel! After an extremely exhausting flight with 2 small children, the front desk ladies were a breath of fresh air! Keren was especially amazing. She helped accommodate us after we added extras to our party last minute and Gave us detailed information on all the resort had to offer. Our room was huge, the pool is one of the nicest in Clearwater, and have so many activities for the whole family.
Some pros and cons about this place for sure. It is situated right on a beautiful beach and has oceanfront rooms with balconies. Close to many restaurants and shops you definitely do not need a rental car while here. Cons: the private beach area they have is extremely far back from the beach. You can sit in the chairs they have for free but they charge you $30 a day if you want an umbrella. For the price of these rooms it’s absurd you don’t get an umbrella included. In addition, they don’t allow you to bring any type of cooler in their beach area. I am 7 months pregnant and we wanted to bring water down to our chairs with a cooler and ice to keep it cold. The first day no one said anything. The second day an attendant told us we were not allowed the cooler and took it away. Basically they are trying to profit off you further by making you buy their overly expensive food and drinks with restaurant on site. Pool is extremely crowded with children. We spent most of our time at beach. If doing an adult only vacation may want to consider staying elsewhere.
Great resort vibe on the beach with great service and enough within walking distance. Very relaxing and meets expectations. Most significant issue is the noise. The neighboring Clear Sky Cafe has live music until 10pm that sounds like a concert in your room if you are on that side of the hotel. Not sure about the other rooms but I would not come back unless I was there to stay up late and party. Wifi is also quite bad.
I can not say enough about this place! I had no idea how family friendly this resort was. So many fun activities for the kids, food was amazing, views were unbeatable, memories made were unforgettable! We didn’t have to get in the car one time, everything is within walking distance. Extra bonus, the owner of the resort is a big supporter of military families and we can’t thank him and the staff enough! I definitely want to return with my husband, with our without the kids it’s the perfect getaway!!
One of my worst resort experiences ever. It started off great and the staff at the front desk are very nice and welcoming. We checked in and spent a few hours in the room before going out to enjoy Clearwater for a bit. Upon return, everything went downhill. We got back to our room around 2 am ready to relax and soak in the in room jacuzzi tub. Unfortunately there was no hot water. We called the desk to be informed that there wasnt anything that could be done it that time.At 10 am they finally came up to fix it as we were already getting ready to check out. I brought it up again at checkout and again, I was treated nice. The lady apologized and said she could refund me a max of $100 out of my $1100 a night room. (Not much but better than nothing). She apologized and told us that we were still welcome to use the facilities, hang out by the pool, then stop by and she would put us in another room for a few hours so we could enjoy a hot shower/bath before we leave. We went to our vehicle to drop off our bags and on the way in, we were stopped and told that the side entrance is for guest only and construction workers wont allowed in the area. Again. I paid $1100 for a room, I didnt get to shower so at that point we did look a mess but the guy was very rude even after I told him I was a guest. Now we get back to the pool area to lay out. Within 3 minutes of being there we were approached by 2 other young men (which were actually polite) to ask for proof that we were supposed to be there. We had our room keys on our wrist but they said their manager wanted proof be cause we looked like we didnt belong. Even after showing them our keys, we were told that people often find the keys on the beach and use them to come into the pool area. The 2 young men admitted it was wrong and apologized but the manager never came up to apologize. Finally we get to lay by the pool but that lasted for about another 3 minutes. At this point another young came up and told us that his manager sent him over to tell us that we cannot be on the pool deck because we have a dog. I told him we are guest on the top floor, Im paying $1100 a night and that the dog is my finances ADA registered service dog. (Not emotional support). She is allowed in hospitals, restaurants, planes, anywhere but he insisted that it was his managers doing. So once again I asked to speak with the manager. I offered to provide any documentation needed even though its not required and also made sure to point out the sign that said no dogs allowed except for service dogs. Which she is. We were still forced to leave. At that point we were already approached by 3 people so it was the most embarrassing experience ever as everyone watched us leaving like we were kicked out and didnt belong. Her solution was that we could use the beach if we wanted. Keep in mind Clearwater Beach is free to the public so not much of a solution. If you want to pamper yourself this is not the place. We were repeatedly profiled, disrespected, and embarrassed. Beautiful rooms but a lot of people working there should not be in the hospitality industry.Beautiful rooms but overall, I give it zero stars due to the experience we had.
Beautiful Hotel, Amazing Staff, and Customer Service. Cant wait to go back!
This was a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. The location was easy to get to and situated on a beautiful, powdery-white sand beach. The rooms and all of the facilities were clean and high quality. The best thing about our stay, however, was the people. From the person who checked us in (whose name I unfortunately did not catch), we were greeted with kindness and a feeling that we were truly welcome. Staff such as Carmen, Salima, Valentina, and Elaine went above and beyond to provide the top notch quality of service you would expect in a resort like this.I especially appreciate Valentina and Elaine. From the moment Valentina greeted us with mimosas, her smile and kindness radiated warmth and welcome, and every time we saw her after that she was friendly and repeatedly did things to just make us feel special and feel welcomed.Elaine, who provided service on the beach and at the pool, was incredibly friendly, kind, and excellent at her job. We felt an immediate rapport with her and enjoyed working with her. She remembered the nuances of my orders, and took the time to visit with us and make us feel like we were among friends. I cant really say enough about how wonderful her service was and how likable she was. Sandpearl would do well to make Valentina and Elaine the spokespeople for the resort, because, despite how wonderful and high quality everything was, I will be coming back because of THEM. At the very least they both deserve a bonus, because they embody high quality customer service, hospitality, and warmth, and will generate many satisfied a repeat customers.
Honestly, the worst service I’ve ever had at a hotel. Very unprofessional at Tate Island Grill with terrible service. The manager absolutely sucked at handling our needs and was rude. Susan Bresher you are a horrible manager, and should be fired. The way you’re managing the restaurant is pathetic and sad and your customer service skills never belonged in a restaurant. Moving forward, the front desk is what really finalize me writing this review. The Middle Eastern Manager was the most unprofessional of them all. I have no idea how he ever became employed because after smoking on the balcony he told us it was a $250 fine out of nowhere. Ruined our stay, and told us to read the fine print, which was in a pamphlet. No signs in the room. No warnings at all. Just horrible service and rude managers. I thought the sand pearl stood for a good customer service, but it seems to be the exact opposite. Really depressing after at 3,000 room fee we ended up canceling the majority of the trip with the sand pearl and moved onto a much better hotel. I highly recommend you stay anywhere else in Clearwater.
The moment I walked into this resort, I was overwhelmed with its beauty. It really has everything.Excellent beachside location.Opulent, chic interior design.Great pool and hot tub area. The staff here made for great hosts.I came here for a destination wedding, where this is an excellent venue. Loved the hors d’oeuvres served for happy hour.
We had a great dinner with excellent service, and the location is ideal to catch a perfect sunset!
There was a lady with curly hair at the front desk the first day i arrived , i asked if there were any rooms available and she just said “actually we’re fully booked for today AND TOMORROW “ she didn’t even check the screen or anything …… i don’t know if it was because i was wearing a scarf over my head but her attitude was not it . I then went back to my car , managed to find available rooms , and booked one for a night :)Other than that , the staff was AMAZING!!i was even able to extend my stay with the help of the other friendly staff at the front desk that were more than happy to help! All the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful! If i could give them more than 5 stars i would ! Great resort and nice beach!
Very nice resort. We had a conference here and it was top-notch. The food was spectacular to my surprise. The rooms were quiet and the air conditioning worked very well.
Review for those with kids- very kid friendly! The pool is big, shallow end for kids, and the hotel provides plenty of floats, even baby floats, paddle boards & sand toys for the beach, & creative daily activities such as mermaid visit, face painting, smores, etc..depends on each day. They also have games outside and board games throughout hotel for entertainment and movies outside at night. Two areas need improvement are the rooms are clean feeling but not so modern, need some updating, .the beach chairs are very far from shore so you have to bring your own if you have kids because too far of a walk.Overall our favorite hotel in area!
A wonderful resort with a beautiful location right on the beach. The staff and service are outstanding and friendly and go out of their way to make your experience an enjoyable one from the moment you step through the doors. Rooms and the overall resort quality are excellent and the location cant be beat with easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops and a private stretch of beach along the ocean. The pool area is top notch with a zero entry access that makes it great for families. The resort is also extremely kid friendly with the pool access being the first point in favor, but they also have a kids club, beach and pool toys, and unique daily activities that kids can take part in and enjoy. In fact, I would say they undersell just how family friendly this resort is. The food on site is very good and convenient, but with access to more options along the beach you have plenty of variety. While the prices are high especially during the busy season, we left feeling our stay was worth every dollar and hope to return again in the future for another trip.
Despite what they claim, they are actually a very low end hotel with very poor customer service skills. From the front desk being completely rude and unprofessional to the manager ruining our stay. Unfortunately, the restaurant and service at Tate Island Grill was just as disappointing. If I were this hotel, I would remove myself from advertising this as a High-end resort, because if you’ve been to one, you would know this definitely isn’t it.
Excellent!! 5 stars from the service to the cleanliness of the rooms and attention to detail from the staff. The location is great, the pool was perfect and I loved how family friendly the hotel was. Very comfortable stay and felt safe. We enjoyed the s’mores and sunset celebration every night and movies by the pool was a surprise! I also enjoy the fire pit and live band at night. The surprise activities made the trip so special!
Way overpriced hangout for snobs that treat the pool area like their own backyard. Much better accommodations down the road with less snobs.
My family and I had one of the best vacations we have ever had in our lives! This is our third time at the Sand Pearl and it did not disappoint! The facilities are spotless, the service is outstanding, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the resort itself is stunning! We had a one bedroom Gulf view suite and enjoyed every minute of it! A huge shout out to Amanda and Maggie Marie, servers at Caretta on the Gulf, the signature Sand Pearl restaurant. They are incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and just all out kind, especially to my 10-year-old grandson. They made sure he was very well taken care of. I highly recommend the pork chop and the New York strip which were tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. We also ate breakfast in the buffet every morning and it was also outstanding! Our housekeeper was Natasha and she kept our room incredibly spotless. Fresh towels twice a day, room cleaned to perfection, even dishes in the sink were washed! Michael, the concierge, also made sure we were very well taken care of. Such a friendly and outgoing young man! We also truly loved Lucy and Rori at the front desk. Talk about efficient! I am always incredibly impressed when someone remembers my name from the first day to the last and addresses me as such. I do so appreciate that special touch! The recreation staff by the pool was also phenomenal, helpful, and just a wealth of information about the pool and the Gulf of Mexico. Our servers Mo and Corey at Tate, the pool side bar and restaurant, were also so friendly and efficient. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about this fabulous, upscale, family friendly resort! Truly one of a kind on a peaceful and gorgeous stretch of Clearwater Beach!
Great overall. Wish the staff at the shack were faster to ask and serve. We made two attempts to get something and it took 30 minutes for someone to ask us what we wanted.
I was there for a few days with my son due to a work conference and we really loved the rooms, the food, the view plus the service was outstanding. I want to point out that the front desk staff of Lucy, Karen and Ariana(i think thats her name she helped returned some items i left in my room ) were super helpful friendly and most of all happy to share any knowledge of the area. Selema at the pool side store was spot on with the smores and extremely courteous to all. I definitely recommend and definitely will bring the rest of the family next time .
A beautifully appointed hotel and resort, with meeting rooms and directly on Clearwater Beach, a consistent top 5 beach in the U.S. Rooms are spacious. Beds are comfy, Views are amazing.
As for security goes the front desk receptionist seemed quite displeased I was there. Then she let me upstairs without asking for my ID. Clearly they pick and choose which protocol is worth following.
Rooms are nice. Service in the hotel okay. Noise outside the rooms terrible. Would not spend the money to listen to late night karaoke with the city view. Not worth the experience. Save your money.
We didnt stay here. We walked to beach, watched the sunset while visiting the beach bar.
They put us in a room in the same hallway as construction. I’m laying in bed trying to sleep in a little since I’m on vacation, but there’s guys yelling down the hall, some sort of loud vibrating like a jackhammer, and lots of banging and crashing noises. Guess my relaxing vacation won’t happen here. It’s too bad, because the room and building are beautiful, the spa looks nice and it’s a great location. I just really was needing some quiet relaxation.
Just returned from Sand Pearl, and it went above and beyond our expectations. Super-friendly and very accommodating staff, and spotless rooms. The view was amazing from our gulf front room. The restaurants in and around the hotel are top notch. Just a very friendly and relaxing time. The pool and beach are great! Theres also no shortage of celebrities who frequent the hotel from time to time. Hulk Hogan was there (his bar is across the street), but didnt have a chance to meet him! Will definitely be returning to sand pearl soon.
Beautiful place on gorgeous Clearwater beach, Florida . Dinner outside watching the sunset . Smores by the fire pit on the beach - picture perfect !
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We stayed over a Holiday weekend so the hotel was fairly full however that did not affect the exceptional service that we received. Food at both restaurants was tasty, drinks were a bit pricey. My only complaint would be that by 8:30 am all of the pool chairs had towels on them. There were definitely many more towels than people so it was next to impossible to sit by the pool for most of the day. That was disappointing.
Everything was wonderful! We loved the location for all our needs. We valet parked our car and never had to even use the car to go anywhere. Everything you could possibly want or need is walking distance from the resort. The staff at the resort is absolutely top notch all the way around!!! We were here for the WMG Radman Conference and the food, drinks and staff were so fantastic!!! Hopefully well be back next year to enjoy this beautiful resort once again!!!
A very nice, upscale hotel that has plenty to chose from during your stay. We visited for a few days and we didn’t want to leave! Check in/out was a breeze. Complimentary glass of champagne was nice upon check in! Plenty of food options on site as well. Poolside service was a little slow, but it wasn’t the servers fault. They were hustling like crazy! Just more incentive to walk and get more drinks! We enjoyed the corn hole boards and ping pong table on site. The beach was amazing as usual! We stayed in a coastal view room. Well worth the extra money for a better view in my opinion. The room was spacious and comfortable. Shower water pressure was phenomenal as well if you care about that. Overall, we can’t wait to go back!
Simply unforgetting. Life is short, but this stay will always be forever remembered for every great reason.Weve been coming to the Sandpearl & Clearwater since 2016 yearly from Pennsylvania. The last couple years, we were unable to come but she had a 50th birthday to celebrate and it was her only wish to return here for a gulf-front room.We were able to book for one of their great promotions available at the time by signing up to their newsletter and being flexible with the dates. We were traveling with two friends so we needed something together for affordability, but also not be on top of year other. We booked the oceanfront jr suite with the tub directly with the property.I made sure that they knew it was my wifes 50th and you only turn 50 once. The place was pretty much sold out. Conference in town and business people all over.Turned out, not a bad thing since the pool and amenities were all ours and not overly crowded during the first couple week days. Best of all, they noticed her special event, and gave us complementary upgrades to the 2 bedroom suites. We stayed in 802 and its over 1500 square feet and 2 bedrooms. The views were out of this world, 3 balconies, a kitchen, laundry, private rooms, tvs... simply VIP status on the 8th flood. Incredible. This trip turned out to be so much more. Austin Treichel and the general manager Vandyke - please accept our thanks for our stay. We cannot thank you enough for your generous hospitality during our stay.We will certaintly be back to your property again and we hope soon.
We had a beautiful time returning to Clearwater and staying at the SandPearl. The view was amazing, and service impeccable. The beach is semi-private , so not as crowded as Pier 60 and the surrounding areas. The rooms are decorated nicely, and very clean. They could use some updating though, just saying :) .There are plenty of places to eat, and the area is walkable with plenty to see. The Café downstairs next to the hotel has an extensive menu and food is delicious 😋I look forward to, and will definitely return next Summer.
I had a deep tissue massage at the spa. It was the worst experience I have ever had at the SandPearl. We frequent the restaurant regularly as locals. We have stayed as guests as well as highly recommended to visitors. My masseuse was over a half hour late which was fine. Life happens. The massage itself was awful. When asked about my experience and expressed my concerns I was met with a shrug and oh well. Despite the spa being busy I had expected better service as I have received in previous experiences. Word of mouth as a local can go further than you think. Do NOT recommend the spa services at all.
The best thing of this Resort is definitely the beach and views, specially during sundown. The service personnel was very courteous and friendly. However, the only part of the room that was updated was the bathroom, the rest was outdated. Everything was overpriced and the food at the restaurant was not the best. We got the breakfast package, and the items listed on the menu were ok but the buffet was terrible. Be ready to see the same breakfast items everyday. Most of the pastries weren’t fresh and sausages were still cold in the middle. Drinks were good but overpriced, most of them cost $14 for a small cup but the same drink cost $8 at the bar across the street. Beach umbrellas are not included so you will have to pay like $30+ to rent one for the day.
Beautiful place very relaxing and a great marina so bring your boat or yacht right on Clearwater Beach ⛱️
Nice hotel. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable room. A bit overpriced for what you get. Ill probably consider cheaper options for my next trip. The distance from the free hotel beach chairs to the water is a bit far. I recommend bringing your own chairs and beach tent and set up near the water. We used the Pacific Breeze Easy Setup Beach Tent loungers.Tip: At the bench, if you go out just beyond the white crashing waves, the water becomes calmer and shallower.
In summary, this hotel is decent value at $300 per night, but service and operational issues definitely dont support this hotel at $750 per night (what we paid for a larger ocean front room). Note that during our stay the hotel was half full. If it was full, our experience would likely have been worse. If you are looking for a more exclusive or upscale experience, I dont think this is the place for you- you can do better.Pros:+Beach and pool are clean and nice+Beach has great powder sand, and its a deep beach which we like (many others dont)+Rooms and hotel are very clean (read below for maintenance issues)+Servers at breakfast in Caretta are nice, and same with the beach/pool servers from Tates for lunch and snacks+Beach activities desk staff is friendlyOne of the breakfast omelet chefs is a super friendly guy. The other... horrid (see below)+Beds are medium soft and very comfortable. Everyone slept well+Rooms (at least ours) was quiet. Could not hear neighbors or outside+The place seems built well and even though a major storm went through during the night, we would not have heard it except that our phone alerts went off (Waterspout/Tornado warning)+They will give you as many (free) bottled waters as you wantCons:-First and foremost is the construction. They tell you WHEN YOU CHECK IN that there is construction. They wring their hands saying that they dont know where it is, and that they have no control. Telling me at check in? After I fly there? Come on guys!! Construction is from 8am to 4 or 5pm each day. We heard drilling, grinding, hammering, and saw workers and painters (some right outside our room). We smelled some paint and some smoke from grinding. This is simply not acceptable in this price range, and the hotel should either offer *steep* construction discounts with a strong warning at BOOKING and/or close and entire section of the hotel for renovation. We complained about this (many times), as did many other guests. After a day of nagging the front desk, and getting the let me check with my manager treatment we got a nightly discount and free breakfasts for the week. They offered us a new room, which was WORSE and with the same noise, so we declined that. What Sandpearl offered was enough to make us shut up, but barely. This policy and how construction is being managed is NOT ACCEPTABLE at (this) price range. Be warned.Other issues:-Toilet was stuff and not flushing upon check-in. Come on-Bathroom French doors do not close or lock properly-Alarm clock not set properly, and no one could figure out how to change it-Shower door handle was loose-The gate to the beach (and wow does Sandpearl have a lot of gates) was not opening properly for several days-Found a bug in the milk jug at breakfast-One of the omelet chefs is great... The other will ignore you if you stand in front of him and stare at him for 5 minutes-The gym is small and has a bad room shape, which makes it feel very congested-$30/per day for a beach umbrella, no free sunscreen...-Only one person ever at the front desk.. almost always have to wait-The occasional weird cleaning fluid smell in the elevators and sometimes in the lobby-I never saw any sort of champagne or any other treats in the lobby (I was led to believe this would be available)-Got lots of text and email surveys from SandPearl. Responded to them. Never got more than a chat bot response to anything. I expect the same for this review, as you will see all canned responses to people who complain-Not a big deal, but there we several smaller corporate events taking place during our stay. Not my preference as I am trying to get away from thatOther, and not fault of hotel... Just a heads up~Most food in the area is poor and fried. There are a few sushi places in walking distance which are good~A lot of people from the NYC area.. If you dont like muscle shirts, backwards caps, and the (very) occasional stink eye, be warned, as you might see these things~This is a kid friendly hotel. If you dont want to see any kids, this is the wrong place
Restaurants continue to be fabulous Service as well. Location is awesome and as is the beach. Food is good as long as it is warm, sometimes the crabcakes have shell pieces in them.
I am one never to write a review but my experience at this poor managed hotel I couldn’t help myself! We started off going to tates island grill. My friend has a service dog and we were denied service. Against the law for one. Susan Bresher very unprofessional The ONLY reason I didn’t stay at opal sands was because they were sold out. Very fitting this place had rooms lol. So we left that dumpster fire and gave our money elsewhere. Then get back to the rooms and paying over 500.00 a night not impressed. I’m used to staying at high end hotels and this wouldn’t doesn’t meet my standards for one. Step on the balcony outside to smoke get a knock at the door saying I’m getting charged 250 for smoking on the balcony outside lol. This place must be hard up for money. No signs in room and no one told me you couldn’t smoke outside and no warning. The manager I’ll find his name out is a piece of work. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels all over the country and never have not been able to smoke on a balcony or they would have a sign with no smoking posted. Has the audacity to tell me he will fine me again and sir now I know you can’t doesn’t it make sense I would. Must have a tough time hiring competent people these days! So the good news I’m checking out tomorrow of this dump and going back to Opal Sands getting a suite n be happy to spend my money there and where I’ve stayed multiple times and wish I never had to experience this nightmare. Best part is Mr Lee said they were sold out but again he’s wrong because he’s not good at his job.The customer service is horrible and I should of known better as I was checking in there was an irate customer talking to front desk on the phone. Opal sands for one is way nicer than this place. Way more friendly and pet friendly and pretty sure you can find just about any hotel better than this place. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Don’t give these people your money. Read the other reviews they are in line with this
Terrible hotel , encourages hateful behavior and staff suck here
This place is amazing, with assorted activities all throughout. This place is extremely nice and very well thought out. It has a beautiful ocean side, nice and big pool, and an elegant interior. I want to add that the strip has lots of nice merchandise that is definitely something to look at. I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a beautiful clearwater hotel on the beachside, and is willing to pay the price.
I attended a wedding at this resort and the view was amazing! Very easy access to the beach and all the surrounding bars/restaurants. The space for the reception was perfect for 150 plus guests with a 9 piece band. The only downside is they are very inclusive. They were not accommodating unless all the guests stayed at the resort making it difficult for people trying to attend a wedding if staying near by.
They always treat me well and I appreciate the organization when it comes to the guests.
Beautiful hotel the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Easy access to the beach. The pools are clean and cool. The only downside is the screaming kids but there parents usually yell at them within 10 mins or so. Id give this place 5 stars if they werent trying so hard to Nickel and Dime you for everything. Spent 60 bucks on 2 quesadilla it was filled with oil.
We visited, having heard wonderful things, and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Great waterfront view! Even 6 stars would not even do justice to this restaurant. Very, very impressive!
Strongly recommend the Caratta on the Gulf! The service is always amazing & its ALWAYS cooked to mouthwatering perfection! I dine here as often as possible!
My mom and I had an amazing experience at the SandPearl spa! Alyssa was an amazing massage therapist and all the staff did a great job checking in and providing us with anything we needed. Can’t wait to book another spa day with the SandPearl 😌
Rooms and amenities were nice. But far from luxury 5 star service. The shuttle is inconsistent, we were left stranded after the shuttle driver “went home”. Room service just never showed up and other services took forever. Pack your patience and be prepared to be disappointed.
This place was an absolute gem! The staff and the environment was very cozy and inviting. The room service didn’t miss a beat and the front staff was the best. First time at a resort and was not disappointed. Oh and the whole front lobby smells absolutely amazing.
Great location right on Clearwater Beach. Very kid friendly at the pool.
Room was great but most views are of the side streets the way the hotel is laid out. Pool is nice but not heated. Restaurant was also just nice but the outside beach Cafe makes up for it. Location is excellent for quick walks to all the popular spots. Overall for double the cost of similar nearby hotels I did not see its value.
Gorgeous hotel right on the water. Having the pool and the ocean is a big plus. Poolside bar has great service food is good and drinks as well. The on-site spa is fantastic make sure you book ahead. We walked down the beach both ways beautiful in the morning and evening. Service is fantastic all around. Check in greeting includes a glass of champagne. The on site restaurant is excellent good food and drinks excellent service. The only thing Id like to see improved is the breakfast nook it runs out of food pretty quickly so we just ended up walking down to Starbucks which always had a long line so be prepared.
I wouldnt ever stay anywhere else on Clearwater Beach, too notch service. Very classy, smoke free (designated areas for smokers), extremely family friendly. Mermaid book readings by the pool for kids, huge inflatable movies 🍿 screen in the pool at night for family movies.... You could honestly never leave the resort and have a blast! They have a private Beach section. You just cannot go wrong. I cannot wait to go back! Yes it may be one of the more expensive hotels on the strip but every dime is worth it AND SOME! Thank you sandpearl for making my birthday amazing!
The best beach resort in Florida. Excellent experience! We had wonderful service, great food and you can’t beat the location. We cannot wait to come back ❤️
Beautiful hotel and resort. My husband and I loved the services provided from restaurants to the spa. Quality in Clearwater.
Service is always excellent - front desk was amazing (gave us an upgrade) and mimosa person (I forget her name) was always there for us :). People always very friendly - Gulf front view was amazing. Only negatives: turn down service was intermittent, coffee maker didnt work properly and room slightly smelled due to a leak from floors above. Overall - we love the Sandpearl and will be back - they just need to clean up some of the details.
We love this hotel and were disappointed to find out when we checked in that construction was going on. We were told our room was on the other side of the building. Which I guess would be true if you consider across the hall the other side. Good news is we met the Floor Manager who let us know a Junior Suite was available. So we appreciated being upgraded for free. The hotel does need upgrading since it has been a long time that they have been opened. Room was freshly painted it seemed but furniture needs updating. Bed very comfortable. The main Restaurant Carettas on the Gulf is overpriced and ridiculous. It seems they are gouging the tourists. We live in Tampa and could not believe what they charge and everything is extra including sharing a salad! Better food and pricing at The Beachcomber or the Palm Pavilion - BEST Seafood.
Staying here feels like a scam. The front desk people will talk down to you. The private beach is just bs. Chairs they have are way too far from the beach, no umbrellas. You have to rent out everything and they are extremely expensive! The outdoor bar on property are one of the worst. I waited about 10 minutes for them to even acknowledge me and it wasnt busy. Then this dude said to me, you need help?. Yes, mf what else would i stand here for. This place is a mess.
Beautiful venue for a beach wedding! Stayed at the hotel as well and had a large balcony to enjoy the sunrise. Rooms were large too and appreciated the resort accommodations (robe, slippers, Nespresso machine, etc). A little surprised by the outdated bathtub. It was very high and required a step stool for me to get in.
We had an issue with our room upon arrival, but the staff at Sandpearl (John S, specifically) have been exceedingly helpful in getting things rectified. Once we could focus on our vacation, the views, beach, pool, gym, food (etc) are all 5-star.Undoubtedly, I would recommend the Sandpearl to friends, family, and colleagues. And my vote is easily John S for President!! Hes the personification of getting stuff done.
Disappointing. I booked a staycation package for my birthday and had to have emergency surgery 4 days prior. My husband called to change the reservation and it was rebooked under a new package and we were charged an additional $300. When we arrived to check in, I expressed my disappointment and provided proof of my surgery. The front desk woman, Cindee was super sweet, spoke to the manager, and said the money would be refunded. Realizing later in the evening I did not receive my breakfast vouchers (which are included in the package), I went to the front desk and was yelled at by staff saying that the computer doesn’t say breakfast and to show my reservation email. I showed BOTH emails, the original and the rebooked. The gentleman laughed in my face and sarcastically said I was wrong, implying that I couldn’t read. I was so embarrassed. Luckily, Cindee came out and confirmed I was correct and issued the vouchers for breakfast. Unfortunately, to my surprise, my husband and I were charged both days for breakfast even though we gave the vouchers. We were charged full price for breakfast BOTH days and it was charged to our room. I don’t understand if it’s incompetence or us. Our room rate was also never put in at the correct price and I keep going back and forth with accounting. I am utterly confused. We rented a cabana, which was fantastic. Beach services started out great and it was the relaxation I desperately needed. However, we sat for 2 hours and the servers never returned. My husband and I ended up leaving. We tried the pool, which was beautiful, but we were shocked to see smeared food all over the cushions and they were all like that. Very dirty. We put a towel over the seats we could find and raised the flag for service. After an hour without an attendant coming, we left. The bathroom in our room was upgraded and cosmetically appealing. However, the hot water trickled out every time we tried to use it. We didn’t even bother complaining because of the rude service we received prior. This is an extremely expensive hotel and we were so disappointed after splurging to stay here for the weekend.
WOW! I can not say enough good things about the Sandpearl. We wanted a wedding venue on the beach that could handle our 150 person guest list with ease. The Sandpearl was not only able to accommodate us, they went above and beyond for us.Before we even booked with the Sandpearl, I toured all event spaces with Alexis and she was super sweet and personable from the very beginning. In my past life, I was an event coordinator so I had a lot of questions, but she answered them all with ease. The venue sold itself, but Alexis was definitely a plus! With countless back and forth emails to make our weekend everything we wanted and more, she handled us with the upmost professionalism. When we finally arrived for our wedding weekend we were greeted with so much joy and help from every employee. From pulling into valet with two loaded cars taking 3 bell carts to get us to our room, to a free breakfast on the last day we couldnt have been more pleased with our choice with the Sandpearl. We had our rehearsal dinner there too which was so great that everyone could enjoy the resort Friday and Saturday. We had multiple guests staying at the hotel and using all of the amenities. Both restaurants were amazing, the catering and banquet staff were great and we got tons of compliments on the food, best wedding food ever. I could go on and on about how much we adored this venue and Alexis for making our wedding weekend perfect but I will spare you.BOOK THE SANDPEARL FOR YOUR WEDDING (or just vacation or night out!!!!) 100 / 10 would recommend.
The room was awesome with a great view. Greater us at check in with champagne. Everything was very clean . The only part that was not so great was getting a chair at the pool . It took three days to finally sit at the pool. It was a holiday weekend so I do not know if it is the same on a regular weekend. This resort is top notch and very impressive.
Had a very nice stay going to Florida after losing a family member who lived there. The trip was not pland activation or even a visit and because of that I was very scattebooking booking rooms and it was a pretty busy time period. They made. It seemless. The staff was kind and caring and went out of their way to make sure we had beautiful experience. Lots to do for a family. Elegant, grand surroundingsPeople who made it amazing,.Rori💕, Daniel, Micheal, Christian, the folks at Tates,Thank you.
I am a beach club member for the past four years at the Sandpearl and the yoga sessions are the BEST in town! Lurane (the instructor) is kind, patient, funny and extremely knowledgeable. She makes me (and the guests) feel at ease through all of the classes. She appreciates us being there and the beauty that surrounds us for the hour we’re together. It’s the perfect way to start the day! They’re lucky to have such a kind hearted soul to teach their classes.
Very beautiful. Very friendly staff. The only thing I recommend is we tried several days before our arrival to get breakfast reservations and they were booked for our whole stay. So if you plan on eating at the hotel hope ahead I dont know how far ahead. Besides that its paradise! There is a restaurant directly outside the front doors of the hotel that we have eaten breakfast at for 2 days now. Its been fantastic!
I had a significant problem with my reservation. I brought it to the attention of management . They were timely in their response and were terrific in making things right. Wonderful property , amenities and I planTo bring my family to this location for many years toCome! Thanks to everyone at the Sandpearl for makingOur vacation so memorable!
Worts hotel and service in 10 years visiting Florida. Had problem checking in ... It smells horrible everywhere around the hote. No parking lot. They had problem at the pool because I had small cooler that I had on me coming back from the beach. They threatened to kick me out and my 2 kids. Left the pool never came back. Worts service ever. People that work they dont know what they doing.
My husband and I were married here in 2018, and we have visited multiple times since. The hotel is always very clean and comfortable. Everything feels modern and open. The huge windows let in a ton of natural light. The rooms are all very comfortable, and feel like they were updated recently. No complaints from us!
Its been awhile since I been to this resort but when I was there Mackenzie at the bar was the best. She was very attentive to me and was very friendly. She made the stay very enjoyable. Thanks Mackenzie!! Sorry it took so long for me to do the review.
Had a 6 night stay here with the family in mid October 2022 for fall break. Welcomed the kids with sand pails and sparkling apple juice, and parents with champagne. Had a double queen room on 6th floor which was fairly average, but bathroom seemed recently upgraded. There was construction across the hall during our stay, but wasnt terribly disruptive other than a couple noisy instances. Pool was great and beach front is great. Overall friendly staff. Easy walking distance to restaurants, pier, boat tours, etc.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel to check in for our wedding weekend, the entire staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. When the weather turned out to be the coldest weekend of the year (Christmas Eve) one employee in particular did everything in his power to make our day incredible. Paul Knox took it upon himself to allow us a private room to host our ceremony out of the frigid cold and wind. We had 10 people total and he went above and beyond for us and we are forever grateful. Thank you does not say enough and we will 110% be booking another stay this summer with you due to your staff and especially Paul.Thank you sincerely fromBrandon and Charlee Stevens!
I travel often and have high expectations for customer services and amenities. Sandpearl resort exceeded all of my expectations. The moment I walked on the property I felt so relaxed and welcomed. What I paid for the acommondations and what they were, did not add up...in a good way. I was concerned because the prices were lower than surrounding hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I could go on and on, but I will leave you with this: I am a tough customer. I have high expectations when it comes to both acommodations and customer service. Every single interaction I had with Sandpearl employees was top notch. I used the spa, room service, valet, beach side dining, and more. I traveled alone and I was concerned I might not feel safe, being at a hotel I blindly chose on the internet. The Sandpearl made me feel safe and secure. I am unable to come up with one single complaint for my entire stay. I felt like I was in Mexico with the luxury feel of the resort as well as the pampering and pleasant service. The food was even good! Many gluten free options as well as vegetarian, along with normal food choices. I am really, really impressed and cant wait to come back and bring my kids this time!
A very small and beautiful resort. One of my favorites in the United States. Make sure they’re not doing construction before you book the hotel. I’ve stayed here many times, but the last time they put me next to a room that was getting refurbished. Not ideal for their price tag!
Ended up doing a last minute spring break trip to Sandpearl Resort and here are my thoughts.Pros:- Service was outstanding.- Everyone is super friendly and has a high attention to detail. Always smiling and positive. Pro tip. They valet your car so make sure to bring some cash for tips for the drivers.- Location Right on the beach. The views of the water are breathtaking.- Has a big pool with some hot tubs- Has a spa where you can get some nice massages or facials- Has a bar/restaurant next to pool where you can get drinks and bar food. Pro tip: if you don’t wanna wait for a table you can order for takeout while at the pool and eat at your room. Works well if you have impatient kids.- The resort also has a fancier restaurant where you can go for dinner. (Need reservations). We ate breakfast buffet daily there in mornings.- Location is right in downtown next to lots of shops and restaurants however it’s just far enough where it’s not near the crowded public area where it gets super crowded (Pier 60). The beach area is very open near the water and you don’t have people super close to you.- The resort has reserved chairs and umbrellas on their private beach. However if you want to go closer to the water it’s not super crowded once you go past the “reserved guest area”.- There’s a s’mores area on the fire pit and they also have movie night daily.- Rooms were very nice. We stayed on the 5th floor and it was ocean front. Had a king size bed with a sofa pull out.- The resort also gave these waterproof wrist bands for keys and they are super convenient instead of using a traditional key card.- Pro tip: there’s a cvs next door and also you can order stuff on Amazon and have it delivered to the hotel. The concierge will hold it for you. Good for ordering last minute things and just packing lighter. Did this for a couple misc items.- Overall I would stay at this place again. The service was great and the staff was super friendly. Clearwater is a wonderful place to vacation. Would go back.Opportunities:- Gym is a little lackluster. Could use some updating with heavier dumbbells and some better/modern equipment. Looked like it hasn’t been updated in a while.- If you go on a crowded week like spring break the pool can get very crowded and if you don’t get there early enough and put a towel on the chair then you don’t have a chair close to the pool. If you have kids you probably want to be close to the pool. Pro tip: Go to the pool after 3pm or super early. Avoid the crowd if you can. We did beach, then lunch, then took a 1-2 hour break and then hit pool after 3pm.- Pro tip: if you have kids, give them a break after being in the sun for more than 2 hours. We didn’t do this and they got exhausted and burned the second day. (We brought our 7 and 9 year old)- Expect to pay Higher prices since you are paying for the service and more amenities. Not really a con but just good to know if you are on a budget.- Food in the area around town isn’t as Diverse as expected. It’s a lot of the same cuisine (contemporary/American/bar food). For the last couple nights, We ended up driving outside of the Beach area for some other places since we got tired of eating the same style of food daily. Pro tip: there’s some smaller places like hot dog places or pizza places right outside the resort where you can get some grab and go items quickly without breaking the bank ( no sense in paying 20 dollars for lunch for a 7 year old who probably won’t eat much)There’s also other beautiful beaches/state parks outside the area within a 10-20 min drive. Highly recommend to check out the other beaches as well.Pro tip: Apply for TSA pre check if flying. It is a lifesaver. Can get in through TSA in minutes vs standing in line forever. Wish I would have done that earlier.Hope that helps.
We’ve been here 4 times and every visit has been fantastic. Direct access to the beach, and a private beach section with loungers, chairs, umbrellas if you want to lay out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. They are also very close to other great restaurants and some local indie shopping stores. Great time here and it won’t be our last.
We went to the restaurant. It’s very delicious and nice upscale dining room. Great steak with a lot of food. 2 people could easily eat on the 9 oz filet mignon or 8 oz NY Strip steak. The only big disappointment is that you can add a lobster tail to make your steak a surf and turf, but the tail is served in a soup bowl, by itself. Prepare to pay a high price for a tiny lobster tail served in a soup bowl
Only went for the day to the spa. Christine was PHENOMENAL! It is hard to find a great deep tissue massage and it was a very nice experience. I felt amazing afterwards. The tables are comfortable. Thanks, Christine!
Really well run hotel. Great amenities and location. Beautiful piece of property that is situated on a beach mostly away from the crazy busy typical Clearwater touristy vibe.Conference hall was modern and clean. Great service, but the food was average during our event.Front desk reception was polite and accommodating. I cant recall the womans name who took care of us in the lobby but she was very thoughtful and pleasant. Fernandina?
Stayed at this property for the night. Made reservations at their premier restaurant to celebrate a recent award accomplishment. Reservations was at 8:30PM. We arrived at 8:20PM. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Apps were awesome! We then took the server recommendation and ordered the Wagyu for two. After waiting an hour, we asked for an update on our food and was told it was coming. Another 30 minutes later the food arrived at 10PM. The meat was prepared at the wrong temperature and it looked as if the food was just slopped on the plate. After calling the manager she apologized and said we didn’t have to pay for it which surprised me because we didn’t even eat it and sent it back. I asked to just do room service since it was late already but they said they couldn’t. I ended up going to the front desk and explained our dissatisfaction and they recommended another restaurant down the road. We left to go find a restaurant but everything was closing. We returned back to the hotel and we’re finally able to get someone to agree for room service. Almost another 30 to 45 minutes later they showed up with food and required a signature. I asked why i needed to sign and she said to show i received the food. Being annoyed already (and hungry) I refused to sign and they refused to leave the food. Horrible customer service. No empathy. A celebratory evening was ruined. We woke up early and couldn’t wait to leave.
Although a little bit pricey, you cannot ask for much more in a hotel. From the moment you walk in, the customer service is impeccable. The pier and other restaurants and shops are just walking distance away or they offer a free shuttle as well. The hotel is also a great place to watch the sunset from. We were greeted with welcome drinks (mimosa and champagne) and were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and luxury of the hotel. The pool and beach are both incredible. There is turn down service, nespresso machines in each room, and so much more. It was the perfect vacation getaway!
This is our third trip here . We wanted a certain room with a view and we did not get that room. Talked to the desk and they moved us as soon as the room we wanted was ready. We understand that the rooms are not cleaned everyday but they will bring you whatever you need and take trash away. This stay is much better than the trip we made this past May. There is more staff and they have all been very nice . Also they have better security around the pool area. Last visit there was a homeless guy trying to share our cabana . No issues so far . Beautiful views and really good food . It could be a little cleaner but overall very nice .
This hotel was wonderful! It was clean, the staff was very helpful and accommodating, and we had a wonderful honeymoon here. We got couples massages which were very relaxing, enjoyed the pool area, and the access to the beach! The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. We also love the fruit infused water that was in the gym and lobby each day.The only recommendation we had would be to make the beach umbrellas free of charge to guests as it was disappointing to get onto the beach with the sun beaming and find out we cant use an umbrella unless we pay for it.
We had a wonderf stay at the Sandpearl Resort. We were very pleased about the room upgrade they gave us and loved our beautiful suite with ocean view! Compared to other hotels in the same priceclass in Florida, this Resort offfers an extraordinary service, beautiful rooms and comfort. We loved the private beach and the poolbar and we would definately come back! Thank you!
We have stayed at the sandpearl three times now. We love it so much, the service is amazing. You walk in and receive a welcome drink. We’ve brought our kids each time, very family friendly. They have s’mores kits for fire pits on the beach at sunset. You can’t beat the views. They provide everything you need, they have an amazing pool with beach access + chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We are local and always choose the sandpearl for our celebratory staycations. The pool service can be a little slow, I wish they had a built-in pool bar or a walk up bar of some kind separate from the restaurant.
The Sand Pearl goes above and beyond for their customers. I had no issues during my stay and all of my additional needs were taken care of with by thoughtful and attentive staff. The Nest bodywash products they provide in each suite are exclusive to the resort and cannot be found online! I look forward to returning to this gem of a resort.
We had some issues before we even arrived with billing. We wanted to pay before we had to and split it 50/50 and we just couldnt get it done and they charged our card even after that anyway. But, once we got there, I didnt have many complaints. The staff was great. From the shuttle driver to the concierge to the front desk staff to housekeeping and the staff in the pool area. The room was big enough, comfortable, and clean. The restroom was quite large for a hotel and it had plenty of counter space for toiletries which is also uncommon. The shower and the shower wand were wonderful. Could always use more water pressure, though. The television set was small, but you could cast from your phone. I experienced an issue with this, but they fixed it. They did a complete turn down service one day even though it was past 5pm Anything extra we needed or wanted was taken care of. The shuttle that takes you around the island is very convenient and the drivers as well as the concierge are very knowledgeable of the area. The staff around the pool were also great. On the last day, I experienced an issue whereby my card was misplaced and Im 99% sure it was the waitress fault, but she never took responsibility even when she found it. Otherwise, the pool area is excellent. There seemed to be enough seating even on Saturday morning but the shade chairs go the earliest of course. The pool was enormous and a really nice place to cool off. They have two hot tubs as well if youre not already hot enough! Shutout to the towel boys who will make your chair and then clean it up for you. Shutout also to the people who hold the door open for you, I doubt they ever get any recognition. Same with housekeeping, its important to tip these people, too. I dont recommend their restaurant Carettas on the Gulf. I wrote a separate review for them. You get what you pay for and thats true with this place, but its really well worth it. I booked a package whereby the 4th night was free, but still $1700 for four nights not including the hold they put on your card when you get there. So, definitely not a budget-friendly option, but if youre going on vaca, go on vaca and stay here, its well worth it.
Service was excellent.Rooms need updating, bathroom cabinet and dresser scratched and nicked Tub is very deep nice for a bath however might be difficult for some to step into for a shower. Daily resort fee of $35 does not include beach umbrella, an additional $30. Beach cabana also additional fee. Food at the pool bar and grill could be better. Dry chicken wings , buns for sandwiches fall apart. Not the best food. Needs to be upgraded.
The resort is absolutely beautiful and the accommodations are fantastic. Most of the staff is in a perpetual bad mood but if you can overlook that or miraculously only deal with the 5% of the staff that is super friendly and helpful then youll be in good shape. NEST toiletries and in room Nespresso. Individuals, couples, and families alike will thoroughly enjoy their time here.
The view of the Gulf is unmatched. Beautiful. The service is exceptional. The rooms are pretty pricey but worth it if you want security while on vacation. One drawback was all the hidden fees and taxes. I would recommend it to anyone not traveling on a stringent budget. Definitely kid friendly. They offer daycare..for a fee and several activities for families with small children.
The resort is really beautiful, especially the decor inside the lobby as well as in the rooms. The location is absolutely perfect! We had a beach view room and the sunset from the balcony was gorgeous. We went not too long ago, and the employees were dedicated to safety as they all wore their masks and helped in anything we needed. The lobby also hand sanitizer and marks on the floors so we were 6 ft apart if we needed to go to the front desk. What i especially liked was when you entered or exited the lobby, an employee was always there to open the door for you so you wouldnt touch the door. Very nice. Overall I felt absolutely safe and very much recommended this resort !
Nice location, ok breakfast very slow service, seem understaffed
I am a previous employee at the Sandpearl Resort and unfortunately I had to quit because of major discrimination. The housekeeping staff wasnt working as a team but more like working as a gang. I wasnt even there a week and during training the Jamaican staff was trying their hardest to get me fired, I guess because I wasnt Jamaican and they wanted a Jamaican houseman. And Romeo the want to be boss has issues with keeping his hands to himself, and the Jamaican girl housekeepers kept a negative attitude towards me. I really never looked forward to not getting any sleep and having to go to that work place and deal with the discrimination. I was in pain the whole time working at Sandpearl but I did my best amd that wasnt enough because the housekeeping Jamaican gang didnt want me working there. They wanted another Jamaican houseman. Their houseman arent very skilled anyway and they intentionally ignored my work and cleanliness of the floors I attended. Great company, but they need to get a better staff in housekeeping. I understand housekeeper are possibly hard to find but the discrimination of the housekeeping department need to stop. Im a local with more skill in houseman work per other employers. This was the first employer that has discriminated against me because they prefer to work with their own race instead of making a clean, positive, productive workplace. And the houseman Romeo needs to learn to keep his hands to himself. Hes lucky I left because of the treatment or hed have a visit to the nearest hospital. I dont recommend working in the housekeeping department at the Sandpearl unless you foreign and have no skill.
My experience here was amazing. I went to the Spa, after my family gave me a gift card. The resort looked well maintained and clean. The staff at the spa were very nice and courteous. I received a very well needed and amazing 80 minute massage. I chose the detox massage.Yes they are pricey( compared to your advertised 60 min basic massage) but they are up front about prices and gratuity and you get more than what you pay for.Upon arriving I was greeted by staff, shown around the spa, and was offered a locker with a very nice robe, shoes and head band. You are offered water on multiple occasions and you have access to the other spa amenities after your massage. My masseuse was very nice, quiet and professional. At all times my comfortability was asked and put first and she used the utmost care with my arm, which had a prior minor incision on it.I will be coming back to this Spa, every couple months as a treat to myself. It was an amazing break, to just relax in piece and quiet and get an excellent massage done by professionals.
Sandpearl resort is one of the best hotels on Clearwater Beach. Both of our rooms were very well-maintained and cleaned twice a day. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all our needs, wants, and desires. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Really cant say enough about the service we received. Arrived day of. Got a room. Was immediately upgraded at no cost due to cancellation. Kid became sick and we had to leave early. Everybody from front desk to concierge to bell boys to valet pitched in and got us out of there in an hour. Thanks again. I told my wife as we drove out - Im writing a review - not something I do, typically. And the place is fantastic. Situated perfectly on the strip. Short walk to tons of shops/bars/eateries. Beautiful dunes. Huge beach w/white sand. Top notch service. Everything you need. Great drinks/food. Fantastic for our 6 and under kids. Highly recommended.
Great location, but a little overpriced for the room that you get. This place was on my list since I moved to Florida and I was very excited to finally stay here after many years of having it on my list. The room that I spent the weekend in needs a lot of TLC. Shower tub was all scratched and dirty. I reported twice issues with the AC in my room and they never fixed it or offered me the option to move to another room. Breakfast buffet is good. They closed the pool one day (which I understand because it was about to rain and there was thunder) but the way that the hotel employee kicked us out was unnecessary and embarrassing. Next time I’m in Clearwater, I’ll stay in another place.
We stayed Nov 7th > 11th with my Husband. We had a great time, clean hotel and very large bedrooms. Tate Grill is great for service, quality and price. Caretta is very very pricy but food is great as well as service, just once we were told we couldnt have lunch on deck because they were spraying chemicals didnt make sense (this is right above the pool too...)... During the hurricane, we lost power but it was all managed very well or as much as they could. We had our bedroom facing North so just up the restaurant roof but nevertheless still fine. We enjoyed the Nespresso machine inside the Bedroom everyday (morning and after lunch) big + for us! The downs are: they didnt warned us that the two bathrooms on each side of ours were under renovation, we understand the upgrade need but we would have appreciate the heads up and super close proximity.. Other down is only one jacuzzi was working and rules arent really respected. We will try and be back though because in general it was a great time and perfect location!! Thank you!
Amazing resort. Pool is fabulous with great beach access. The loaded pork nachos from the pool bar are great. Very friendly staff. I loved the ladies who open the main entrance door for guests. Very clean and comfortable rooms with great balcony!I only wish there was self park. Valet is great, but rather unnecessary.
Had a very nice time with my husband at the restaurant in this resort. One of the best dinners I have ever had!
The resort is beautiful and it’s in an excellent location. The beach was very beautiful, the pool is very nice. The resort is nice and clean. We reserved a room with an ocean view, and while it faced the direction of the ocean, it was blocked by palm trees so we didn’t exactly get an ocean view. We were there three days and not one time did housekeeping come. No fresh towels, we ran out of toilet paper, no coffee or tea refills, no toiletries, no trash taken out (and take note the website advertises twice daily housekeeping). The website also advertises a mini bar in the room, there was no mini bar. Disappointed that we did not get what was advertised to us, especially for the price. I think we could of done better with an Air B and B. Would stay here again if the resort offered us a discount for our next stay but probably will check out other locations first.
As an engineer employee of this resort I was baffled to find that 90% of employees I met were high at work and this company promotes the use of drugs at work especially weedThere is zero drug testing during new hire process and I personally met several employees who have major felony’s on their record but managed to get hired anywayI am not a disgruntled employee as I quit on my own after bringing these issues to management and being ignored. I wont be ignored now as I vow to let the entire industry know what goes on at the Sandpearl. I didnt want to continue to work for a company that promotes drug useNext time you stay at this place remember that the people watching your child are probably high as a kite and could be smoking or doing other drugs right in front of you without your knowledgeI went to management with my discoveries and was ignored so I quit. I dont want to work for a company that promotes drug use
Fabulous Sunday brunch...make reservations...great variety of food not available at your typical brunch or buffet.
What a beautiful resort. Feel like Im back in the olden days where you feel like you are part of the family. You are welcomed by a valet service and the guys there are great! Enter the foyer for a complimentary champagne, yum. .poolside food is great and the wait staff are so pleasant. Get there early to save a seat at poolside and the beach. Beach is clean and beautiful!! Well worth the stay
Fabulous resort! Beautiful beach, beautiful pool, great location all around. All of the staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Having food and drink service on the beach was the best! I dont know how the staff stays so happy and upbeat working in the hot sun all day but every single one of them was a pleasure to interact with. I will definitely be back to the Sandpearl resort!
Hotel in desperate need of renovation. We had a lovely room. But the decorators should have been in. Really dont like the resort fee, you get 2 loungers but its 30 dollars for an umbrella 😞Staff were lovely 😍
My kids loved the kids club. It’s pricey for two kids and they were the only my kids twice, but they kept on asking to go back. They especially loved Celine! The food at Carretas was pricey but good. The pool and beach service hustled as much as possible to get your orders and drinks. Location is on tge middle of Clearwater to it was east to go to the pier, cvs, or walk to other restaurants nearby.
Amazing. Elegant Resort. Friendly helpful staff. Every amenity we could ask for. Spa experience was fantastic. Lots of open beach even beyond the private beach. Only drawback lots of families which in an of itself is fine, but we were unable to enjoy the pool. It was teaming with loud children and splashing. The pool could be adult guest friendly by having adult swim times. 8-10 am and 8-10 pm would be great!
Our first time for a Gulf Coast vacation and after debating between 3 different areas and about 8 resorts we selected SandPearl. We were nervous booking nonrefundable reservations in August with the possibility of hurricane activity but we needed a vacation, and were not ready to fly to the islands yet. The resort is beautiful and welcoming. The valets take your vehicle and you never have to worry about it again. The lobby is spacious and elegant, the hallways were quiet even on the weekend. We were told they were doing some renovations during the midweek only, but honestly we rarely heard a peep. Our favorite amenities were the large water bottles because its so hot in August! The pool and lounge area is beautiful. Room service is exceptional and we ordered it 3xs during our stay. Both the restaurant on site Caretta is fabulous and the pool side grill Tates is awesome! The beach activities desk the staff was terrific and very helpful. We stopped by everyday and later when one of the employees saw us in the lobby he stopped and asked how we were enjoying our stay, very personable! The resort is next door to a wonderful Cafe Clear Sky, we ate there 2xs once for breakfast and once for dinner. But very best feature here is the private beach!!! Gorgeous white sand beach with that island clear water! And the sand didnt scorch your feet even in August! We loved our stay here and hated cutting it short by a day when I got sick. But as we got into our car to leave, all the valets wished us a safe trip home, and a fast recovery and several offered us waters for our trip so we wouldnt have to stop. Id stay here again in a minute!!!
What a pleasure this hotel is - everyone who works here is a joy, it smells wonderful, the views are incredible, the gym is fantastic, and the restaurant is phenomenal! We cant wait to go back.
I stayed at Sandpearl for a mini vacay and it felt like I was there for weeks. My friends and I went in early December. We avoided the holiday crowds, which was great. The room was spacious, quiet and had a great ocean view. Awesome amenities…sprawling outdoor pool, corn hole (I lost two games 😕), ping pong. Great service and food from the bar (try the grouper nuggets). What really capped off the trip was sitting around the fire pit to enjoy the sun set.I definitely plan to return in the near future!
