MJs on Jefferson

I stopped in here on my way to Washington DC considering it was on the way and the drinks were good. The staff was friendly. The patrons were courteous diverse and pleasant to be around. The bathrooms were clean 10 out of 10 highly recommended.

Bartenders are simply amazing at MJs! Drinks are strong and the guys at the bar are quite attentive. I always know I’ll have a great time with friends at this bar. Their drag shows are a hoot! Music is on point. Check it out fam!!

Favorite place ever. Karaoke night is always a great time. Joe is the best bartender you’ll ever have. Go see him Sunday nights and tip him kindly 🙂💕

Went to Mjs on a Friday night for a birthday, this bar was a whole VIBE! The Queens put on one hell of a show! The dj was epic and the bartenders were so cool! I love this place!

I went here one night and left my tab open. Forgot my card. But had to work double shifts the next two days so didnt cancel it thinking it was safe since it was left with the bartender. I got a notification 2 days later from my bank asking me if I was trying to make an online purchase for make up ..... I said absolutely not. Do NOT trust this place with your money. Super shady !!!Update to response to owner. Not true. I have a transaction on my bank account for the drink I did buy from you ! I went there for a drag show. Was def your bar. One of your workers tried to steal my money. Own up to it and take responsibility for it.

This is a great gay bar and a great place to chill. Bar staff is amazing and unlike other venues in Dayton, the drinks are actually made not poured from a soda dispenser. Love the staff and feel if I am going to go out to spend money on drinks, I want them to be worth it. Being a bartender myself, its really awesome to see drinks being made with care and knowledge.

Went there on July 3rd 2022 and they were understaffed so I couldnt get a pizza or any food. When i said I passed on a 3rd drink since I couldnt get a pizza the bar tender closed my tab as if I had to leave on the spot at 1130.I never asked to close my tab I just wanted to pace myself for the night.Now mjs allows vaping inside so if you have any respiratory issues Dont go to MJs. Theyd rather serve someone trying to destroy their lungs then someone who is trying to save his.No loyalty at all.

Great friendly staff. Music is normally between 85-100 DB which is refreshing as it is not too loud compared to many bars who play their music at dangerous levels. Entertainers are always good and many different faces which is awesome. As a professional lighting engineer, the actual light work that is presented during shows is lacking and very distracting. Basic understanding of lighting theory and operation is missing. But the average person wouldn’t be bothered by that. Love the selection of whiskey! Keep up the great work.

The place is real toxic- most gay guy groups in Dayton, Ohio are ruthless and just awful. If you wanna find out- go here. They have alcoholic clicks of gay men. My friend went and he has cancer and sent a video of a bunch of guys calling him ‘the ugliest guy in the bar’ - also almost every owner and every bar that is suppose to be part of the community takes NO ACCOUNTABILITY for the company they keep.

Terrible facility. The staff managers get too drunk to deal with criminal theft and side with car thieves before complying with a criminal investigation. They side with the criminals instead of assisting with client needs. Atmosphere is great with the exception of managers tjst respond with “it’s none of your business” when you ask for the managers name. They’ve verbally abused paying customers and called my companion stupid when asking for assistance. Won’t be returning.

Went to MJS last night and Ive been a few times on low volume nights. I hear different things a few times with the tab being open, sometimes they hold $50, $5, or $10. Its real odd and I never seen a place with different amounts of the tab being held. The owner/manager comes up to me, says its $5. So I questioned it and said ok then why is there 2 charges of $10 and I showed him my bank that shows him that I had $10 just sitting there. He goes I dont know my systems must have changed so I responded So you dont know the hold fee to your bar and he said Well you dont need to be rude about it and you dont have to come back again and after that I just shut up and left because hes not worth my time. Like dang, sorry you look dumb because you dont know your hold fees.

First time here from Cincy. Redd velvet was rude. LOVE Electra! She should be your headliner! She knows how to work the crowd A+

Great place, great food and our favorite spot to hangout every Friday. Staff is always friendly and B Sharp is super amazing… if you are looking for some entertainment, check out the place and see for yourself.

The only ACTUAL gay bar in downtown Dayton but dont let that stop you straighties from coming in! This place is clean, sleek and the bar staff is always so friendly! Theres a pool table area and darts if thats your thing... Not much of a dance floor area but the live shows are always amazing! Joe behind the bar will always put a smile on your face and the MJs House Ale will knock you on your a**! So come in for a show or come in to relax, either way you wont be disappointed!

An lgbt club/bar. Everyones welcome! The shows range from drag to dance to entertainment of all kinds. Even Cards Against Humanity on the weekdays. Its primarily a gay mens bar, but its an all inclusive experience. Everyone is wonderful and the bartenders are the best!

A cisgendered white twink bar that looks down on its black queer patrons. The guys who go here are full of themselves, and creates divisions within what’s supposed to be a “diverse and inclusive” environment. What a joke. Never giving them my money again! Avoid at all costs.

I love this bar. I always go on Saturdays and Ive even gone by myself and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is welcoming and the drinks are cheap!

First time there after they moved and it was not to disappoint. The staff is mostly always friendly, great drinks for a great price and excellent music and entertainment! I look forward to coming back with friends from out of town!

For the first time the bartender was being rude and the people there were being creepy following me to the bathroom and asking my gender.
