Best nightclub on the island! Super close to Ala Moana / Waikiki, so you’re still in town where the parties are. Offers an electrifying experience with pulsating music for a night to remember to! The atmosphere was super fun and you don’t want to stop dancing! Service was excellent - all the bartenders and waitresses are super friendly and you get your drinks fast! Security guards were on point and made sure there are no trouble so you can safely enjoy the night parrying away! Get there early though because the lines can get long, but once you’re in, you won’t want to leave! Definitely a club I will return to over and over.
The District is probably one of the worst clubs/bars I have ever been to. The only reason I’m giving this place 1 star is because they seemed to have decent security. The District was mid if anything. It is definitely not a top tier club/bar. This club has a $20 cover charge just to get in, doesn’t allow you to wear your hat inside, and the drinks they pour at their bar are in absurdly small cups (probably about 3oz of fluid total when you order a cocktail from them) for the price of what a normal sized cocktail would cost. The hat rule was annoying to say the least, and the ridiculously high cover charge was outrageous, but it was the size of the drinks that you buy once you get inside that really got to me. I’ve been to many bars in many different cities, states, and even other counties, but I have never been to a bar that pours a drink in a cup that is less than half the size of what it should be. Drinks at bars are already overpriced, but people understand that when they go out to buy drinks because that is how things work. However, I have never been to a place that rips you off so badly. I am genuinely shocked at how they get away with pouring people less-than-half drinks and I will never go to this club again. I will also highly recommend to all of my friends and family to never go there and waste their time and money.
Title: Coercion and Retaliation: My Nightmare at The District Night ClubIm no stranger to the nightlife scene, but nothing could have prepared me for the appalling experience I had at The District Night Club. This establishment isnt just failing to provide a fun and safe environment; its actively engaging in coercive and retaliatory practices that should see it shuttered immediately. My ordeal began innocently enough when I asked to use the ATM. To my dismay, a bouncer shadowed me as I headed to the machine located in a secluded part of the club. His presence was unsettling and his intentions soon became clear - this was no act of customer service. He stood over me in an intimidating manner, insinuating that I owed him a $20 fee for his unsolicited protection. I refused to comply with this extortionate demand and quickly exited the situation, shaken but with my finances intact.Disturbed by this encounter, I sought to address the issue with the clubs management, hoping they would take swift action against such predatory behavior. Initially, the manager seemed concerned and promised to investigate the matter. Imagine my shock when, instead of disciplining the bouncer, I was the one who faced consequences - I was unceremoniously banned from the club.If being banned was not retaliatory enough, the situation escalated further while I was live streaming my face on platform X to share my experience. Mistakenly believing I was recording him, a member of the clubs security team took it upon himself to assault me by throwing water in my face and menacingly getting in my space. The reprehensible behavior exhibited by The Districts staff, from intimidation to outright hostility, is simply inexcusable. The managers failure to act, followed by my ban, is a clear indication that this establishment values its corrupt practices over the well-being of its customers.I implore anyone considering a visit to The District to think twice. No establishment that operates through intimidation and punishes patrons for standing up against such behavior deserves your business. It is high time that we demand accountability and refuse to support venues that compromise our safety and respect. The District Night Club must be held accountable for its actions - for the sake of all its patrons, past, present, and future.
Look kinda fun. But the people who go here are the worst people on earth. Not recommended for a tourist, do not go here on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The cover charge is $20us and it is quite expensive. You will not feel welcomed by the people who go to this place. Go some where else.
Inside the club is good, but the outside loitering and the trash could be looked at. Overall not bad spot for you and your friends. Better to get dropped off than trying to find parking.
First time visiting Hawaii with friends and we were looking for something to do on a Friday night. A kind gentleman named Greg overheard us talking about places to go while we were walking in Waikiki and asked if we were looking for clubs to go to. He informed us of a club that wasnt in Waikiki but was popping and popular among locals. He told us he was a promoter for the club and offered us to be put on guest list for free so we took the offer haha. The check in process was quite easy and we actually bumped into Greg there and he actually remembered us! Overall service and atmosphere was Awesome, it was actually popping! Pretty cool how they have two separate clubs in one. Prices for drinks arent too bad compared to Waikiki and it being a club as well. Will definitely be going back with my friends when we come back to Hawaii! Maybe well do Bottle service next time!
If you are in the Waikiki / Ala Moana area this is a great place to go to. I went two weeks ago on a Saturday night and the music was great. Staff members are super friendly especially one promoter…I believe his name was Greg. There’s also another area inside where you can order food. I’m from New York and it’s hard to find good pizza on the island, but the pizza at district is to die for!Definitely will be back again!
District Nightclub offers an electrifying atmosphere perfect for a night out. The drinks were expertly crafted and reasonably priced, enhancing the overall experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. Special kudos to Jason, whose promotional efforts contributed significantly to the vibrant energy of the venue.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place is a 100% ripoff we were trying to go to The Republik which is apparently upstairs and not in anyway associated with The District. They are very predatory with no good signage out front they gladly took our money ($20 a person) on a Saturday when the club was completely empty and it wasn’t till after we walked in did we realize we had been had. Don’t make the same mistake we made an go upstairs or better yet just go somewhere else! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
The district is such a fun place to be on the weekends!! my friends and i love to go when we want to have a good time and dance! the dj’s always know the vibe and the drinks are great! the promoters are so sweet, we love freddy and its ALWAYS a blast when we go!
Came here with some girlfriends years ago, and it’s the last time I ever went out to a club. As soon as we got there, some guys offered to buy us drinks, and being the sheltered young 22yo that I was, I said okay. A few sips in and I knew something wasn’t right. Left my friends and took an Uber home, I couldn’t even see straight. It was only around 10pm. I know the bartenders aren’t drugging people, but there should be some form of security or cameras or SOMETHING to prevent this. Felt like a very unsafe environment from the get go.
My favorite place to go on the weekends. The staff and promotors are great and welcoming. Great music and if youre hungry they have fresh pizza in the back. Check this place out if you want to go to the best nightclub on island .
Great environment. However, Blending the music is an essential art of being a DJ of Hip hop and R&B music.. do better.
Did not know there was a dress code for boys apparently u cant wear booty shorts which they dont address on their websites. First impression, I didnt expect to have a lot of scraps my first time there. The vibe was not there and I wouldnʻt want to come back. Sorry
Came here to have fun with my bestie girl who lives here. After paying a $20 coverage charge per person and being here all of 5 minutes, we’re ready to leave. However, I decided to stay here long enough to finish my drink and leave this review. You WILL NOT feel welcome in this place. If you are not a well known local, you are not welcomed. And even my girl who has a HI license, was treated poorly. They will take your money at the door but it will go south quickly the moment you enter. The staff is incredibly RUDE and racist. You are not welcomed here AT ALL! 5 stars for the bathroom attendant who was very polite and absolutely sweet. Everyone else? Best to take your coverage charge and entertainment elsewhere. Sky Bar was very welcoming and we had a great time!
A bit Corrupt & overpriced. For those of you who experience coercion, prejudice, assault, or harrasment it be best to just go to Better Business Bureau. If you really feel strongly about it & have the time. That is all
The District is one of, if not the only, good clubs in Hawaii. If you’re there on a weekend night, you’re sure to have a good time. The staff are professional and provide great service and security make you feel safe when going out and having a drunken time. One of my favorite employees would be my man Jason, one of the best promoters in The District as he knows how to treat customers well and have fun so that you keep wanting to come back (getting on the guest list helps too). Aside from rolling the dice on the people that come into The District, you can rest assured that the venue, staff, and DJs will do their best to help you have a good night out.
So, to give the best review of this place and what the atmosphere is in a guys perspective and what I saw, first is pricing the general admission is $20, and for drinks depending on what you get can vary in price but if you want solid food just know the minimum credit card charge is $30. Second the atmosphere is really good you will have a good time no matter if you come alone or with friends as a guy, the females coming in look great, but once they find a dance partner lads your on your own. Security is really good on their job and they are very professional and polite as long as you behave and not do something youre not supposed. I highly recommend this place to everyone as this was my first club i have ever been to
The place was cool, but it’s a younger crowd looked like a bunch of military brats to me. But no one says excuse me or nothing. Bartenders were quick and polite. The music was a good mix. I despise clubs that have no general seating, they wanna force you to buy a section. I hate that. Crowd is like 21-25. The pizza was POPPING!! I wouldn’t go again.
This club was so fun and stays open until 4 am! The Dj was also very good and played a wide variety of music. We did not order any food but the drinks were made fairly well and there is a nice size dance floor. They also have tables to purchase as well. The crowd was enjoyable and the music range from pop, early 2000s to rap, hip hop, dance/techno. The dj did take turns playing music which I feel really helped ensure everyone continued to have a good time ! Thank you
There is absolutely nowhere to sit you have to buy a 600 section to sit in an empty club. I went here on a Saturday. The website says there is a dress code but when we get here everyone has on tennis shoes, so if you dont mind spending 600 for a seat and pay to get in this is your spot. If you want to listen to good music sit and eat please go somewhere else
Definitely the place to be on the weekend! My friends and I were visiting and had the best time with the most amazing people. The staff was great. Security was strict as it should be at a nightclub for our safety and the music was poppin! Drinks and food were affordable and overall the vibes were great! Will come back here again with my girlfriends 🥰
$20 cover and you have the nerve to have a $30 minimum on drinks. Wild.
Easily the best spot on island especially on weekends and after shows right above to keep the vibes going. It’s always firing in there and the musics on point. All the staff are mad cool and keep it fun and safe in there. If you need to grab a table and bottles, hit up Jason. Everything goes super smooth and he takes good care of you.
Been going to district for years & if you and your friends are trying to party & have a good time this is the place to be. Service is amazing & they are always playing great music. If you do get hungry throughout the night they do have delicious pizza that you can order. The security is very nice too. DISTRICT IS THE PLACE TO BE PEOPLE!!!!
2/2023Went here for a Cherry Blossom event. Used to go here back in the day. Interesting space. I het the nightclub theme and decor. Being in the event industry, I wish the room had a more flexible theme and decor to allow a lot more different types of higher average check events. Parking is through a third-party app but somewhat convenient if you get there early. Im guessing it works for them, and good for them. I did like the pizza selection from next door. Aspire higher with decor and offerings, and it might surprise a lot of people. Bathrooms were nice and had an attendant. Staff was friendly and worked hard - huge plus for the business. 🤙
I cant believe I can say this, but the music felt worse than when I was in rural Oklahoma... already past midnight and the music has continued to be questionable for a Saturday night. No issues with the workers, drinks, or guests here, hence an additional star from rock bottom. You want to come for the music and people, right? The displays are also good quality, but it felt like they were kind of wasted showing peoples birthdays. Unsure why there is even a dress code when its essentially just, wear a shirt, pants and shoes. Baggy T with Gap or Billibong logo? Welcome! They even sell pants which makes it seem like they dont care about you looking good, just fitting a code.
So much fun! The bouncers, promoters, and bartenders are all really sweet, and help if you ever need anything. I always have a blast with my friends! Fred is a great promoter, always super responsive!
*Special care for birthday celebration 🎊, have to book a table.*Cocktails quantity could be bit more but still worth it!*20$ entry fee*2 bar counters that covers the crowd*Dance floor at least can accommodate 50+ people, not bad!*Dj is amazing and in the middle it went bit slow and they didnt accept the song request when asked for*Washroom has assistant and works for tips, which is good but I wish he could be more courteous*Overall good for the young crowds and midnight party 🥳🎉
First and foremost, great spot to kick it. The music is always great, the drinks (tequila) always get the job done lol some people are just a holes but that’s everywhere you go right? Bouncers are cool and professional if your cool. Overall will always go again.
A lot fun working here! All the locals are cool!!
I got bottle service a few times for birthdays, 10/10 recommend. Best club in Hawaii! The music is on point and the serve is excellent. They also serve food inside if you get hungry!!!
District is the place to go when you need a night out in Honolulu! Great music, great drinks, and great service. Whenever my friends want to go out and dance we always be sure to start and end the night at District. It’s also in a super convenient location right below the Republik if you’re ever there for a concert.
Went here for my birthday, great experience. Had bought bottle service, wasnt too expensive especially for Hawaii. They also sell pizza and the pizza was great, 10/10. Definitely recommend to go clubbing in Honolulu.
Great place for a night out in oahu! Quick & easy to order your drinks anywhere in the club. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, I recommend getting a bottle service. District definitely knows how to throw it down and make it special🎉 All the staffs are very friendly and attentive to whatever you need.
I have never ever reviewed any place so the fact that im reviewing for the first time ever should tell you something... Club was ok attractive women there but the vibe there is not it , dj is wack and just kills the mood in there feels like you need to force yourself to vibe in there so definitely 2.5/5 for me. Best club in oahu if you were to pick one though. Security is cool , Drinks are mid , music is wack.
If you are looking for a night out with your friends, this is a must go to spot on the island. I went a few times and the experience has been great. They did some renovations with adding very cool visual screens in the main room and the lounge part of the club. Can I mention that you can reserve a Karaoke room at the Club?! The club plays Hip-Hop and top hits. Security and staff service was great. I can say that security does a great job in making sure everyone can have an enjoyable night. Security check is strict but it is for the safety of others. Pro tip. If the main dance floor bar is busy, go to the lounge side of the club. You can also get some very yummy pizza on the lounge side of the club.
Best thing about this club is the music and the pizza lounge! (pizza is fire) They always play the best jams all the way till 4am and I always have a good time. The staff makes me feel safe and the security guards do a great job as well. Also love the new LED screens!!! Great place to spend a weekend night out.
District is the place to be; especially on a Saturday. Love the vibe, love the people, always feel super welcomed but also safe on those nights that we really go hard. shoutout to Jason for always being a real one and taking care. There’s no other place I’d rather spend a night out.
The District Nightclub in Honolulu is a great place to party! Giving you a Vegas experience on the islands but better with the staffs Aloha Spirit! Music style is R&B Greatest Hits & most updated music! DJ’s know how to keep the party jumping! And also they have a secret lounge in the back where you can order pizza and other small bites! Definitely love going to The District whenever I’m in Honolulu
District Nightclub is the best nightclub in town to visit especially if you’re staying near Waikiki or Ala Moana. They have super delicious pizza, bottle service, karaoke rooms, & lit DJs playing til 4am. They have a strict attire for men such as shoes, long pants, and no hat or branded tops, but it’s fun once you get inside. Hit up @moistcalvin on instagram if anyone wants to be added to the guestlist prior to partying at District Nightclub 🤙🏽
Best place for a night out with friends! Table service is a must if you want a place to sit down with your friends! Bartenders and staff are all great and the late night pizza is amazing.
After reading the reviews and seeing all the tiktok videos, I went with some friends to check this club out on a friday.Pros:Once inside, it gives underground warehouse vibes. Its spacious and theres 2 areas to get alcohol.Cons:Cover price is 20 dollars. They do not play top 40 and hip hop.Dj played bad throwbacks and would play their mix of popular songs. (Which wasnt very good)They dont follow the dress code.If you expect LA nightclub, go somewhere else and save your money.
I dont even know where to start. Ive travelled a lot and been to many nightclubs, but this one takes the award for being the absolute WORST.First of all, its located on a TROPICAL ISLAND yet the bouncers wont let you in if youre wearing a tank top, sandals or shorts?! What...?The music was garbage. The crowd was not fun. Probably related to the rude, power-tripping bouncers. The staff were all incredibly arrogant.
Paid chaos. The music was only hip hop and outdated. The place is bending the rules quite a bit too letting their own folks in without a line, without patting down friends and without checking IDs versus my husband and I stepped outside for air and he got stopped and checked and patted down asked to empty his pockets of his phone and ID to get back in when he clearly had nothing in him in his tight jeans and we stepped out for only a few minutes by the bouncer without leaving far.I’ve been out to many clubs, in different cities and countries and this was by far my worst experience. We were there a total of maybe 20-30 min and left.
Went solo on Saturday night Feb 12 around 10pm. Line was long at that time so after 15 minutes, got in. I really enjoyed the DJs running good vibe all night, no complaints. Plenty of bars in the building to serve your drinking needs, though beware you need a min spend of $30 if you use a credit card, which is normally not an issue if you open a tab. Just like any other night clubs, watch your drink and behave and youll have a good time! I docked a star because the floor was super sticky. Also note, by 1am it can be extremely crowded.
DO NOT GO, any locals with shorts are allowed in. We watched lots of people with shorts go up and shake the bouncers hand and be let in with shorts however bouncer said we can’t come in because we have shorts. When we asked the security why others were allowed he responded “we like to keep the non locals out”
Always a great experience here. My go-to for great music, drinks and vibes. If you’re looking for a young and exciting night out, this is the place. Never disappoints.
Horrible experience. I brought a room with a bottle and I was told that the room would be secured but when I came back to my room that I paid $400 the night. The security guard wouldn’t let me into my room because it was occupied by some random people smh. I will never come back here again. It’s sad that this place is the most popular spot on the island. Bad business definitely wouldn’t recommend!!!
Dress code is a joke. Won’t allow business casual nice shorts. Must have on “wrangler” jeans in order to enter. Or pay hundred for bottle service. So if you’re a tourist coming to Hawaii where the low is 75 be ready to sweat when you come here
Best nightclub on Oahu!! Bartenders, wait staff, promoters, and security are all extremely friendly. Security is on point ensuring that everyone has a safe and fun time! Make sure to get on guest list and go early to save $$$ or book table service for an elevated experience.
Been going here for years. The best thing is the fact that you don’t have to wait too long for drinks as they actually have multiple bartenders at each of the 3 bars. Would recommend!
I went on a Thursday evening for Salsa and Bachata dancing. The disgusting floor ruined my shoes. Has the floor ever been cleaned? My shoes stuck as I walked, especially near the bar and left a gooey tar that stained the tops and I have not been able to get off the soles. Pity because the dancers are good and very social. Not cliquey at all. The white center dance floor has the opposite problem; its dangerously slippery. Not worth any cover. They should pay you.
THEY TAKE AWAY REAL IDS!!! My friend had her REAL ID taken away and we had to wait 30 min extra for the cops to give it back and confirm it was genuine. horrible atmosphere and the bouncer didn’t even apologize or anything.
Been here multiple times before and had nothing but great experiences! The staff are so friendly and security are always on point making sure everyone’s safe. The DJ’s were great and had the crowd dancing all night long. There was a very cute bartender with a man bun with great customer service go check him out!
Would give this no stars if I could. Place was cool but got kicked out for no reason other then just being white. They were fine taking our money for drinks but was followed many times throughout the night while there were other girls in worse condition. As soon as it seemed to get a little crowded I was continuously getting touched and followed when I wasn’t able to find the people I came with. Extremely unprofessional especially to residents who have lived here for years and wanted to try to get out after covid. This place does not deserve business and should be looked into for harassment.
The bar staff is GREAT!Overall nightclub experience is 10/10! Great music, good vibes, and entire staff is great!Waiting in line to get in is totally worth it!
I love going to the District with my girls for a fun night out! It’s always a guaranteed good time. DJ’s are always killing it and keeping the crowd litty. Really love their new huge LED screen, it changes the whole look and elevates the experience. Not to mention they have bomb pizzas on the other side, the Parlor, that you can enjoy on the club side if you have bottle service. All in all, it’s just always a good time at the D.
This bartenders here are very friendly, and it never got too crowded where you have to stand in a long cluster to wait for a drink. Good music, just wish they played less edm type of stuff
Always a good time when I come here! I like that there are multiple bars inside so there’s no wait. Also, I love the food! I never leave without a pizza!
Heres the truth from a nightlife connoisseur. This club, for a night on the town, is ok. I say ok with extreme reluctance. This is because Ive been to this club over 20 times, and what youll find is 2 things: muscle bound guards that love under the table money 💰, and a bunch of Asian girls who either bring their boyfriends with them to the club, or already have one waiting for them as soon as they step one foot out of the club. And if they come without their boyfriends, youre guaranteed to see a soul train line of them (at least 5) holding hands throughout the club the entire night 🌙, which makes the club not much fun. This is indicative of how it is in Hawaii, where the guys are extremely jealous, and 98.9% of the local women have boyfriends, shxt is ridiculous 😆...but this is the truth.
Externally rude staff and they demand you pay for water? I’m sorry but what kind of nightclub forces people to BUY water. I paid $20 to get in the door I think that can pay for my water. That’s how people get sick is when they’re drinking and not able to also have water. The dance floor was disgusting and sticky, the bouncers were extremely rude and overly aggressive with females. Semi decent music but honestly not great. Will not be coming back or ever recommending it to someone.
I’ve been to this place many times and will still go a lot more times. Amazing place workers and bartenders are super nice and the music is always a vibe. Drinks are perfectly priced and overall super fun definitely recommend to friends.
The District is a great place to go to whenever I’m looking for a good time. The music is great, ambiance is amazing, drinks are always on point, and the overall experience never gets boring.
The only place to be on the weekends ! Mix of EDM and Hip Hop. Always a good time with good music. Service is always fast, never waiting in line too long for drinks.
This place is Shady as hell. Lots of drug usage alongside people you don’t want to be around, especially intoxicated! Dance floor is tiny plus no seats unless you pay extra!
I’ve been to nightclubs all over the world. A common theme amongst terrible nightclubs is dbag bouncers who aren’t even mall cop level thinking they’re the stuff and that they run the joint. It’s hawaii not Miami so please have some respect for the general admission people and not just the people who have a table and bottle service. Also, if you wanna pick a fight with a local brudda and his 15 cousins, this is a good spot to do it. Hawaii nightlife is so weak and it’s because nightclubs like these have local bouncers that let the locals run rampant. So much potential yet so weak
Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nightclub. Went to watch the Steve Aoki concert and after getting pulled to the VOLUNTEER medics by the overly aggressive bouncer with a black eye and bloody nose simply because I was recording the music, the only thing they were concerned about was me closing my tab. There were two there that were nice but it seems like after the others found out I was military all they wanted to do was harass a drunk person who’d been given to them to take care of because that’s what they’re there for. Calling me things like “pussy” and “bitch” while I’m bleeding seems uncalled for but that’s just me. Outside of that awful experience the sound setup there is extremely low quality as far as raves go. This “club” needs to do better as a whole. Hating military and non Hawaiians is a personal decision, it shouldn’t bleed into your business strategies especially when someone needs your help
Love coming here! I always have a good time with my friends and the staff are all amazing :) Good customer service! They always take care of us and make sure we all have fun. If youre new in town, this is the best place to be!

Top Tier nightclub in Honolulu. This club has been newly renovated in 2022, adding an additional side club room with its own DJ. The table service is amazing and its easy to get in free on guest list before 11pm! They even have karaoke room options as well
My go to spot when looking for something to do on a night out in Hawaii. Lines are never too long for me and getting in is a breeze. The new renovations to the district make the inside even better and fun to be in. Every part of being there was enjoyable and makes my evenings something to remember.
Best night club in Hawaii by far, I haven’t missed a weekend since I moved there, I strongly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to have a fun time alone or with friends.👌🏽Jason💯💯 the most humble person that I met there.
What is the actual dress code, I was told no t-shirts and hats, but i looked around and there were a bunch of both. Coronas we’re over priced, the bartender told my brother they were $4 then a hour later they were $7.
I genuinely cannot believe how overhyped this bar is. Its crowded, it stinks, and the music sucked. $20 cover is insane. Also a dress code on island?!? A joke
Interesting place. Awesome that they have free seating... On Friday it seems to be an older crowd. Bartenders are good, mixing strong drinks. On the third drink, the bartender remembered my drink and made it before I asked. Now that is damn cool. I havent had that happen since 2000.
The clubs conditioning is very good. Generally dance floor gets stuffy with many people and poor AC. Here, you can dance for hours without any sweat and stuffiness. However, club dancing folks are mostly there than Latin dancers. Good place for fun :)
Love this place! I’ve been in years past with the boys but this trip left me flabbergasted. The LED panels?!! C’mon now. Frickin awesome!!! Oh and a must try is the pizza from the lounge!! *chef’s kiss* especially after downing a few pickle backs with the boys, it’s game changer.
Ok so, Valet is at a reasonable price but gets full quick (11pm); Bouncers are more worried about VIP and bottle services not general entrance, metal scan only pockets(SMH); $20 for males and $15 for Females (should be free); male Bartender tends to only accept cash; gets crowded, like crowed; inside bouncers seems to be more friendly; male Bathroom floor seems to always be wet, with door wide open; Bouncer stand infront of female bathroom door, looking in; Music is A- Friday and Saturday nights; the party goers are chilled but seems a little young (or maybe Im older); Drinks are at a reasonable price and beers are always cold (👌🏽) ; exit seems to be the smoke area and always packed with no one leaving. My honest opinion, who goes to a night CLUB in shorts, flip flops or tank top vacation or not. B+(A-)
A great place to party with your friends in Honolulu! The bouncers & the bar staff are friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend!
The outside security was very rude and short from the start. Didn’t advise us to park across the street and made us drive around the block just to find out the parking in front was for employee. Never made it in. And security called my boyfriend bro. Lol. So not impressed with this place
Dumbest dress code on the island. Not only are flip flops not allowed. SHORTS arent allowed. If you think of hawaii do you usually think of jeans and tennis shoes? They are literally the only ones with this dress code go anywhere else
If youre looking for a place to have fun on Oahu, this is the best place to go. Moving here from mainland, there isnt much night life here except for District. Open until 4am and the recent updates make the place so much nicer.
Super fun place for the weekend!!! Great venue for a birthday or celebration make sure to get bottle service for excellent service. They also have boba drinks with alcohol! Music is great and it’s always a fun time.
District night club is conveniently located in town by ala Moana. You can enjoy private rooms w/ karaoke or get tables on the night club side for bottle service . Bottle service tables do get reserved quick. I recommend reserving ahead of time !!
When I first arrived I saw the bouncer taking bribes from younger kids for entry...The place was crowded and overrated in my opinion. I had visited Hawai’i on vacation and I’ve never seen such a drug scene in a club before. If you are looking for a nice place to go out for some drinks with friends this is not the place.
Just went here last week to see slander and it was a very great experience! They added a new led display that covered the whole back wall that made the show 10x better! Can’t wait for Steve Aoki in a couple weeks.
Definitely one of the best nightclubs on the island. Theres lots of friendly staff and security so it feels safe and vibes are good. Drinks and pizzas are bomb!!
First time going to a night club in honolulu and definitely the best place to go! Great service and good vibes. Parking is convenient and bouncers were nice.
The bouncer on the way to the bathroom was rude and shoved me for no reason
Button ups or no graphic tees for the dress code. Great music and stiff drinks. What more do you need?
So to get into the nightclub you cant wear a tank top, need to have a collared shirt, and be wearing pants no shorts. Front entry told me I need just a t-shirt didnt even mention my shorts before making me walk to Wal-Mart to get a t-shirt. So I got into the bar, cant dance because I now bought the wrong kinda shirt and aint got anything but my shorts. Pretty much if youre from a cold climate and youre trying to stay cool while dancing you can jump off a cliff. Great job not having any of that info available before I took the hour long bus ride to get here.... so to update that info is on the website but you would have to be looking to make a reservation..... other thing is easy enough to get into the front and see the back personally being from the mainland where there may be more space to have bigger clubs this one is the smallest ive ever been to both on the island and off and im from nevada xD now Lex in Reno is inside a hotel is very upscale but understands on hot days (which would quantify all days in hawaii) they are lax with their dress code at least enough so where you arent turnt out from being able to hear the music and still have a drink. Id say walk down the street or look for a real event going on
Salsa dancing on Thursdays are super fun! Salsa lesson from 8-9pm, great for first time dancers. Then DJ Rod plays salsa, bachata, and merengue for everyone to dance to. Only $10 for everything and even comes with a drink!Friday and Saturday are also amazing. Great DJs, cool laser effects, good bartenders.Theyre connected to the Lounge which has the best pizza in Hawaii.
My friends and I came here on a weekend!! Music was good! People were great, it was good fun! Definitely coming back!
This is a weird club I haven’t seen before! I’m visiting first time to go this night club. All employees so rude. Security at front door are so unfriendly at all and super rude! Hey! We’re not going to get free drink from you guys! We’re all spent money there don’t forget it?
Please dont go to this place. We were visiting from the mainland and tried to get in and the bouncer let me in but when my friend tried to get in they told us that our IDs were fake and that we couldnt get in. I asked for our licenses back and he rudely told us no that they were fake and I then told him that I would call the cops. He was very rude. So when the cops showed up they sorted everything out and gave us our IDs back but all torn and bent. One bouncer told us that we were allowed in that they would take care of us and when we went to go in again the other bouncer was still being rude and told us to leave because our IDs were fake EVEN after the cops had proved that our IDs were NOT fake. Please dont go to this place, they are very rude and unprofessional. We also heard from some guys outside while we were waiting for the cops that it sucked. Please dont waste your money on this place!
20$ cover, not responsible for lost or stolen property. I couldnt bring my hat in, and told me I had to leave it with them. It was then stolen and they are not responsible. Shady spot with shady people.
Dress code is pants only. No shorts. Great way to limit the men to women ratio but sucks if you’re not aware. Go to sky bar instead🫶🏼
Music was wack asl! Like bro why all this edm and wacky transitions? We need better music. They tried to upsell me on drinks. Never again!
Definitely the best location in regards to club life in Honolulu. With everything from the bouncers to the bar staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Not my type of crowd. More of a high school rave atmosphere. We had an online yelp coupon for this place that was supposed to get us in for free, but they wouldnt except it. Drinks are over priced as well.
Been going to District for years now, and it’s def the place to be on the weekends. Great music, delicious pizza & Alcohol? What more can you ask for?
Salsamor Thursdays. I’ve been going here since they were at Vice then Ginza. Always great music, always friendly people. The DJ does his best to take requests.
So my 1st time here. Maybe 70 people in the whole place. And still they run out of liqueur (Jack) and beer (they had 3 types of the 5 they sell). The bottles you see are just for show.. What club run out of beer at 930pm? This place is completely a miss.
$15 cover, mediocre dj, and refusal to serve water that isnt bottled ($5 per).Bathroom soap is guarded by a dude who acts very strange and expects a tip to dispense cheap hand soap and a few paper towels...I am surprised the toilets arent guarded with someone controlling the toilet paper.
The best club to get lit at. My birthday was made special because of the promoter AL. bless up gang.🤙🏾🤙🏾
Great atmosphere! Plenty of room to move around on the dancefloor and bar area - even when its packed. Most of the bartenders are very friendly and fast!
The bouncers were pretty rude man, I asked one if this was the front entrance and he just grunted and pointed. When I did go to the front they didnt so much as greet or make eye contact; it felt like they didnt want you there. It was so off-putting that we just left.
Been here a bunch of times and this is probably the best club on the island besides Haus. Workers are on point, DJs always killing it, and Evan is always taking care of our group. Make sure to go early since there’s always a line.
Okay atmosphere. Nothing special, just average. I wish the DJ would play more than 30 seconds of anything that wasnt rap. Youre not a DJ if rap is your entire playlist.
My boyfriend and I love this place! The music is great, drinks are priced well, and overall a good time! Always the place to be on the weekends!
Went here twice. First time it was really fun, second time the atmosphere was less lively. This place is extremely expensive though, I mean its Hawaii, what do you expect? But still.
Came up on vacation and wanted to check out the night life in Honolulu. This club caters to the younger crowd, music is decent drinks are soso, warning :security takes their job seriously,
Quite an average club with $10 valet which seems to be the only reasonable way a non local can find parking. And FYI if you use a card there is a $30 min spend on the card smh but oh well it was clubbing in Hawaii!
District club is awesome with nice and friendly bouncers (aka security). Will definitely come back again for fun times with my friends! 💃🏻
Bouncer was very queer phobic and rude. Almost didn’t let my friend in because they didn’t “look” like a woman. Really disrespectful, not worth your money or your time.
Its a good size cub with a nice lay out. But its pretty pricey for the drinks and they have a 30 dollar limit for cards so you have to bring cash if your just getting a few drinks.
Awful not professional horrible experience. Fighting after it was over. Manager was very inexperienced at running a club and controlling order. Bouncer was very unprofessional and not customer service oriented. I would not give this club any stars and to stay away. Ownership is very young and not experienced. Very expensive and not worth it. STAY AWAY.
This is Hawaii’s best and only night club here on Oahu. The bar staff was friendly and gave me excellent service. Couldn’t have had a better experience will definitely be back again in the future.
Had a great time at districts when i came here to hawaii for vacation great people great vibes! definitely will come back on my next hawaii trip
They have a strict dress code and would not let me in with dress shorts. They say they require pants. In my opinion this is a stupid rule and if theyre going to enforce this they need to post this to their website/Facebook so people know in advance. Taking my business elsewhere.
Always a great experience here. My go-to for great music, drinks and vibes. If you’re looking for a young and exciting night out, this is the place. GOOD MUSIC AND VIBES!!!
Decent atmosphere and good music, but they charge you five dollars for a glass of water. Water! It’s bad enough their drinks a nine dollars.
Awesome club, been coming here for years. Great bartenders too! Thanks for the good times, and can’t wait for the next!
The place is nice with good drinks but the level of drunkness from club goers is at an all time high. People really cant handle their liquor at this club I guess thats a tribute to the bartender.
Cover was $20 per person. Also, This place was for a barely 21 crowd. If you are older don’t go on a Saturday night you will feel extremely out of place
Place sucks. Dumb rules. Can’t wear shorts even though we’re in HAWAII. Can’t wear non collared shirts with graphics or designs in the back. The place is 0/10
Bad service very expensive it says that it costs 10 and when it arrives it is 20 the entrance bad experience I do not recommend it we left the club and they voted for us because I use a drink and they pushed my husband and they threw his drink at him they think that one is drunk so they can get you treats badly I do not recommend it👎👎👎👎
Their dress code is not on their website ..... yet they dont allow men to wear shorts (ONLY WOMEN). We are here on vacation and got sent back to our hotel because my husband was wearing shorts....we didnt go back to them.
Probably the best nightclub ive been to. Drink prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, they play good music, and the place looks awesome.
There is a dress code. Men cant wear shorts. But Women can of course.
Fun place on a Friday and Saturday night! Great crowd and staff. Definitely would go to and recommend.Amazing music too !!
The place is great, the service as well. The only part that I didnt like was the music. Really bad music.
I love coming here with my friends, always has great music on both parlor side and district side !
Latin music night club, with tiny dance floor. Good drinks at the bar, with friendly hosts. Turns into a meat market at later hours.
Great place to dance on Thursdays. Class included with cover and also a free drink.
So lame lol The dance floor is tiny and the DJs are trash. All the people praising this place must not get out much.
Sticky floor, average music, cocktails are bad (you can only feel juice), they even charge women fees
The bouncers were not than friendly and the girl in the front was outright rude so we didn’t even go in. We were there early and it’s not like they were busy or anything.
Always a good time !! Super fast service at the bar and yummy pizza too
Need a better DJ
I’m from a place where we have pretty bad crowds. But this crowd was awful. If you’re not a local don’t go there. Someone will try to start a fight with you. Very disappointing.
Alway lit and the best spot for a good time! This is my go to every weekend 😗 Never disappointed
Bring cash for entry. I didn’t see anything on their website about a cash only cover ($20/per this night). Who carries cash
Wouldn’t let my guy friend who was wearing flip flops, all of 5 of my girlfriends were wearing flip flops and the bouncers fully said it was a “gender thing” and that they don’t allow gender fluid people in. Disgusting club with disgusting workers.
Didn’t even get the chance to go inside, when I checked online it said it was an 18+ club but when i went it was 21+, complete waste of time.
Think High school dance. Thats what it felt like I was crashing. However, the music wasnt as bad as I feared and the crowd was pretty even ratio.
Great club! Great time!
Inconsistent front entry staff with dress code. If this is the nightclub to visit, I feel sorry for Honolulu.
Awesome place!!!! My friends and I had a great time here! Highly recommend if your looking for fun and exercise.
They did not let us enter, even when we have IDs and have the proper dress code. When we asked why they just said no dress code and colors
Best place for afters and has two rooms both with good music
Keep your receipts folks. Their employees added an extra 10% to my tip, on top of what I had already tipped.
Love Thursday’s Latin nights at The District! So much fun, decent drink $$.
Good vibes and great service overall! Staff is always friendly and music always on point.
The best nightclub on the island! Clean and always have a fantastic time.
I love it. But I cant get ahold of them...I lost my phone and credit card...thought maybe they might have it!! Give me a number and time to call!!
Great instructor. Awesome atmosphere. I would definitely recommend!!
Great venue, great crowd, great staff, great bartenders, great DJs, but an even greater time!!
Al the promoter got us right. Littest club on island 💯💯
No No No for the event I went for. Server was great. Music nice for the younger crowd.
We had our wedding here September 2019. Highly recommend
Really nice vibe reasonably priced drinks. Good crowd.
Nice nightclub, but I dont think the lay out is optimal.
Love this place! Fun place to dance and get drinks!
Dusten at the bar always giving exceptional service.
Be there when the doors open because they hold the line for hours but besides that its okay for Hawaii
Honestly the best club on the island. Great energy and atmosphere
My go to place! always a good time
Bouncers didn’t let me in for the sole reason of an open toed shoe.
Great music and overall great experience!
They allow under age people in their bar
Best place in hawaii for drinks/dancing!
No shorts is ridiculous
I know I havent been here before, but Im sure this absolutely outstanding to be at...
Disrespectful bouncers. I wasted $20 went it and it was dead inside
Great music and drinks, the vibes are good
Pants only. Its shorts season.
Dancing time!Lots of bars set up to get some drinks!
🤮
10/10 experience loved it
If u are not white u might be welcomed
Sticky floors, but good music.
Best salsa dancing in Honolulu
The best new nightclub in Hawaii
Wack dress code
Always a good time 😝
Best place to go out!
I love Salsamor Thursdays
Good music, good vibes
Fun place to be at with the crew!!
Lots of bars to get a drink from
