The manager marquis was super awesome. sweet shoes! He made us feel so special. I love coming here especially to see him. great place and great vibes. see ya again papa and let’s not forget the staff. ;)
So not worth it. Cover is way too high just to have mid djs and overpriced drinks. Pretty unfortunate considering there are at least four different ones playing at once. I cannot iterate enough how bad the music was and how weird the vibes are. I have been there a few times and every time I’m disappointed. Sad cause the venue is cool and there is potential. But the men are creepy and the dance floors are not it. Everyone hangs outside by the fires because genuinely the music sucks. And the vibes are off. Peace and love.
1/2My first time here was a blast, they offered so much diversity in music, people and rooms. Its the perfect spot for a group of friends with different interests. They bring the atmospheres out of each room with the music being played. The people there are almost always friendly, almost too friendly sometimes. Prepare for it to be packed. It was super fun.2/2My second time here was a little lackluster... they had a bunch of zones closed off, especially my favorite part (the roof access) not sure if theyre reconstructing or something but it was a little disappointing. The one great thing here is their security. They are always on top of it and super nice whilst being firm and helpful.
Dance? Youll have it here, I promise.Vibe? Youll find it here, I promise.Chili? Without beans, ...its just soup? I promise.$25-30 cover on a Friday - honestly totally worth it. But its just dancing so if you dont want to pay the cover to dance to banger bops... The universal WE still accept you 💕. But you wont regret paying the cover unless you want to regret it.
Probably the most fun bar I’ve been too. Friendly environment and awesome music. Had so much fun dancing.. a reminder of when I was a partier. It’s wonderful
The security guards are rude and make creepy unsettling comments to women before they pat us down. i thought the music would be somewhat decent since we paid $30 to get in, but nope, just remixes and the cupid shuffle were pretty much played the whole night. also NOT a very queer friendly space, very hostile drunk underage people everywhere. $12 wells. most of the crowd is single men on the prowl.
My partner and I had a great time here! I love that there is a variety of different rooms playing different genres of music! It really started to pick up around 11/11:30pm!
The music is trash. I had better music taste when I was at high school prom, college bars, and literally anywhere else. This place has declined consistently for the last 12 months and all they’ve done is hired DJs to play Hannah Montana Theme songs and my little pony.Hopefully soon they will understand they are a club and should play club music but as it stands. TRASH
Such an amazing place! THE EMPLOYEES are so awesome! I think the world of Mikey, Isabella, Anthony, Elana, Joey, Nate, Doug, and soooo many others. I drive from Parker and brave the Denver traffic/parking insanity once a week just to come dance and enjoy great people in a great place! Thank you guys so much for making one night of EVERY week so special! Im very new to clubs but I consider LA Rumba and especially MILK BAR to be the two best places to spend your hard-earned money in Denver! You guys are amazing and thank you again.
Used to be a pretty fun bar until a few years back, now its just a big cash grab for tourists with ridiculous drink and cover prices. Music aint the same anymore either and that was a huge reason why I loved this place. I havent been visiting for a while because of these reasons, but Im beginning to see an awwwwful lot of sketchy reviews on the r/Denver subreddit... stay safe and visit other establishments...
We have been going to Milk for a decade at this point. Many great nights here, and one of the best nightclubs of its kind in Denver, or the nation for that matter. We vend there up to 3 nights a week, and try to make it a special experience for everyone who comes to our booth. I highly recommend that if you are visiting Denver, go check it out, and make your own opinion.
***Final update, after the prior update, I was in contact with Marquis. He was very responsive and professional. They refunded the entire charge, and not just the overcharge. That was very kind of them to do. So here it goes: typical basic club (was not busy the night we went, creepy men, etc etc), bartenders are great, lots of areas to explore, they do not water down drinks. If you have an issue, Marquis is the one who will take care of you. I believe it to be a one time mistake, but with any charges to your card you should always check it before being charged. Life lesson. Anywho, thank you for the fix!**Update, they asked me to reach out. I did. I even provided all the information needed, date, time, charge, last 4 digits of my card, and nothing. Waited 5 days for a response and nothing. I think that bothers me more than anything. Pay cash and be sure to double check the amount charged, or you will be overcharged. Its kind of messed up to overcharge people you think are too drunk to notice. This is tricky… the bartenders are great, however, at the end of the night one of them accidentally(hopefully) overcharged me. 5 shots of tequila at the beginning of the night were $60 without tip, 2 adios’ were $44 (understandable) but then the last order was 2 vodka redbulls and 3 shots of tequila was $98??? Should be around $55-65. I tried to reach out the next morning, because that makes no sense and have not heard anything one week later. I really hope she just made a mistake, but as a warning to everyone to make sure you double check the amount and/or pay cash. I get club drinks are over priced, but based on what we would pay for shots, $12 for a shot, the vodka redbulls would be $31 each. Bffr.
Good, cheap drinks and fun themed rooms - we went on goth night, and attendance was sparse but the DJ was awesome!
Love love love this club. So many rooms, interesting staircases and use of space, it is a gothic labyrinth! A wonderland experience. Really fun selection of different personalities from the bartenders and vibes in general. When you want a reprieve from clubbing there are different outdoor spaces you can smoke, a little quiet(er) room to just sit, and an arcade room
You haven’t seen denver …. Unless you’ve been to …MILK….!!!Enter from the alley and expect a line …. Reminds me of the lines outside of voodoo donuts 🍩 in the old days ….it’s part of the ambiance….show your ID and pay the door fee and you’re in…….expect crowds, 🎶 , & dancing …. EXPLORE ALL the ROOMS & the FLOORS……I lost count.…look for the outdoor areas if you need a respite….make new friends….**.you will feel lost**… and then it’s time to leave ….look for the EXIT sign ……
The bar and experience was actually pretty neat itself. The thing I’m worried about is that my friend got roofied there last night. The small cloudy plastic cups don’t allow for visibility in the dim light to see if something was put in your drink. Staff told us to leave when the effects of whatever was put in their drink started happening
They owe me $20 and a night of my life back. Discriminated against me because I wasnt drinking nor paying $20 a drink because Im on medication for a gun shot and wasnt walking good enough for them, literally did nothing wrong. Probably going to press charges as I have witnesses.Do Not Go Here! Greedy Scumbags!
I love going to goth night and hanging out. Everyone is fun and kind of the most part. I quite enjoy it.
Awesome club because you don’t feel like you’re in a confining sardine can as in other clubs nearby. There is actually room to dance and people actually DO rather than act like victims of electrical shock... I like the variety of moods in each room—being Goth myself I love the Goth room the best and its awesome decor and truly Goth music. They have a fortune teller as well if so inclined. People here are generally older, mostly because of the 21+ policy, which is great when you’re in your late 30s...everyone’s attitude is awesome, nevertheless, very non-judgmental and respectful, especially if someone accidentally bumps into you. Major party days are the best as there can be times when it’s slow due to a lack of people. Still, I’d say this is the #1 club in Denver
The security the people that are supposed make sure girls are safe, decided to take advantage of my daughter on a side road somewhere in Thornton. Are background checks required? These people are vulnerable and need to be looked after not prayed on . I’m sure she’s not the first
DO NOT GO HERE! Bartenders are putting pills in drinks. Police and milk employees are aware of multiple reports and have not done anything.
I don’t know about the food but it’s the most fun bar of all time. Expensive drinks, cover charges- all worth it I promise you
This place is awesome. Marquis the manager was very helpful and convient whenever we had questions. Absolutely felt comfortable and safe
Literally my favorite club! I love the different types of music in all of the rooms.
Went on a Tuesday because their flyer on their website say r&b and hip hop. When I got there it was a live band and only one floor open playing country music or whatever.. Don’t go by their website it’s not valid
Look some of the bar tenders here are the most awesome souls ever. They do work for tips pretty much, that usually all they get. The music it depends on the night. Prices on drinks also seem to depend on the bartender. I’ve had friends get charged 2 to 3 times the price for the same drink. Just because another bartender decides to charge more. That part not cool at all. Just keep that in mind. It could be bartender not the bar if the drinks are way high. The night also does change the price too. A little, it might go from $5 to $10 a drink. Not $10 to $30 on the same night, that only happens because of the bar tenders. Also some bartenders will not give you tap water out of the gun. They charge you like $2-$5 for a bottle water. Keep those things in mind. Come out if you like the music or the DJ’s. Don’t bring or try to bring in weapons or illegal products. Be kind and respectful and keep in mind everyone trying to have fun. No one gets paid enough to try to help a person ODing or hurt. Cover also depends on the night.I would suggest you plan on spending about $50. If you drink and want in. Sign up for texts and things and get deals. $50 should get you in & a drink or a few.
Hands down definitely my favorite night spot in the whole city. Been living here in Denver 3 and a half years now and have not found a better club. Theres other cool clubs out there to be sure, but this place has character, and that can be hard to find. The people, the staff, and the music are all incredible as they are diverse. My fiance and I come here every weekend if we can. In fact, were about to head there right now! Come join us! Were the ones with all the cool glowy toys!
Used to be such a cool place. Literally one of my favorite bars/clubs. Killer music, huge spaces, so fun to explore. Its 20 dollars for cover now though and the place is dead. Absolutely empty on a Friday night at Midnight. No vibe, just awkward giant rooms with two people and a DJ. I assume its the new cover keeping people away. Such a Shame.
One of my favorite places to dance in Denver. Great music. Many rooms with different options. Its a tad bit gentrified now and filled with college bros and girls, but its still fun. It gets packed. Prepare to get sweaty. Nice patio for smoking and such. Gender strict restrooms unfortunately.
Marquiiiisssassss is super cool. He really cares about the people who come here. Thank you milk for the great staff and time.
$50 cover on NYE. No coat check and drinks were expensive. One dance floor was dangerously overcrowded, and others barely had anyone in them. It smelled like puke everywhere. This was my first time here, and I had fun, but for a $50 cover, I expected better.
I had a fun time at Milk Bar! There is a front and back entrance and they place you on different levels. There is a $10 cover charge for anyone going and drinks are a little bit pricey but not too bad compared to DC. I got two tequila shots and a lemon drop for $34 (not including tip) so consider that on your pricing scale. The ambiance was cool because there were different rooms that each had a bar and had different vibes and music to them. They even have an arcade bar which was really cool! Every room has a live DJ and my friend lost her wallet and ended up getting it back a few days later because we left a note with the bartender and got a call from them so that was awesome that they were able to help out with that! I would say you have to find the levels that are fun because some of them were a little empty even though we showed up around 11. There is definitely music and a crown for everyone though! I would recommend this bar in Denver, Colorado!
So my fiance and I came here for the night as tourists and it was dead, no one was there. Apparently the nights to go are Wednesday and not Thursdays haha. Their drinks are pretty pricy for the the size, $8 and up, just stick to beer, $5 a can. Different levels and rooms very cool to check out. The one bar closes a little earlier than 2 and they clear off the patio early too. The bar is in the ally way so when your uber drops you off on the main road, dont be alarmed! The music isnt that great but when youre drunk its not bad.
First 2 times I’ve been here, I really had no complaints. However, my most recent experience which was last Saturday was not entirely that great. Music and atmosphere was okay. Oh but be very careful, when you’re already kinda tipsy going in. The attendants set the tip for you. Clearly, the entrance fee is $15. It was probably partly my fault for not completely checking. But as I open my bank account the next day and it had a tip of $3? I don’t even remember setting a tip on their tablets to confirm payment. Honestly, I usually tip even if you’re just standing there taking people’s payments to enter the club. But for you to automatically add the tip for a $15 entrance fee is a low blow. Imagine how many intoxicated people they’ve taken advantage? That’s $3 a person and how many people do they get a night? Whoever that attendant was ABSOLUTE TRASH. I’m letting that $3 go but I will leave up to karma for what’s coming to you.
I can’t believe a bar of this size doesn’t offer a water fountain. So many of the bartenders here also straight up refuse to give free water. This is just dangerous and stupid, I wish the owners would do better since this is a fun place to dance but not if you can’t do it safely.
Ever since Marquis has been running this place, it’s been on a whole other level, hard not to come here every weekend!
I stumbled on this place with my friend accidentally but Im so glad we did. It was so much fun. There was a lot of different atmospheres and there was even an arcade. The drinks were pretty good overall it was the amazing time.
WOW theyve really expanded!!! FREAKIN WILDTheyve got 2-3 new areas/stages, tons more space, tons more people. Id be more specific but I got littiI even lost my phone but the staff were great and not only found it by the next evening, but charged it, had me unlock it, and were very professional. All of their staff are awesome, cool people; but very professional! The door guy is cool, and very through.Ill definitely be back!! Seriously, I cant believe how much better and bigger it is now!!!
This used to be my favorite bar in Denver. So many rooms to explore and fun music. However, they doubled their cover to $20, and drinks are still $15 for a single well. Was here last night until 1 am and it was pretty dead. Makes sense with such a high cover!! Crowd was whack.
I’ve been here till close and they wouldn’t let us in at 1:09am they close at 2am supposedly. What a waste of an Uber to get here before they close… 10/10 don’t come here on a Tuesday 40 mins before they close :(
Its super hot and muggy inside in most rooms. Until management fixes and runs the air conditioning, *everyone* should avoid this place!!!
Isaiah, Ashley & Bobby provided exceptional security services at the club. They were professional, vigilant, and approachable throughout the night. Their presence made us feel safe, and they handled any potential issues with a calm and efficient demeanor. Their teamwork and communication skills were on point, ensuring a smooth and secure evening for all patrons. I would highly recommend Isaiah and Ashley for any security needs; they truly exceeded our expectations.
When youre in the right room, dancing is easy.
Atmosphere was fun, we really liked the different dance floors and room options. Warning that drinks overpriced though, paid $20+ for a double rail mixed drink. Our night took a turn for the worse when we were shoved by an employee carrying an ice bucket who decided to physically push us aside instead of simply moving around us. He then proceeded to cuss us out on his way back from the bar. When we confronted him later to get an explanation he continued to exhibit extremely rude behavior and cuss us out even more about staying out of his way.
The worst “club” (if you can even call it that) I’ve ever been in the states. Completely dead, it was almost entirely empty on a holiday weekend. $20 charge with no stamp so they hope to charge you multiple times. The least friendly or happy staff I’ve ever encountered in Colorado in general. Read the reviews, they’re very accurate.
The space felt more like a high school house party where the parents are out for the weekend. Exceptional service! The people working there were all super nice!! But the crowd was super wishy-washy. Lots of cis-het energy that made me and my partner a bit uncomfortable so we didn’t mingle a whole lot. I should have known, people warned me not to go because of the atmosphere.
Every time i’m in Denver it’s a MUST I stop by Milk, great atmosphere, great vibes and Angelika is HANDS DOWN the best bartender!! Every drink she makes is top notch & she’s friendly & talented, 10/10
This club is fantastic! We had so much fun dancing!
Door people were jerks and give way too much attitude. Never going back
Milk Nightclub offers an exhilarating and immersive experience for music lovers seeking variety and a lively ambiance. With its multiple rooms, each boasting its unique DJ and genre, the club caters to diverse musical preferences. Coupled with its talented bartenders and stylish decor, Milk provides a well-rounded nightlife experience. While theres always room for improvement, this nightclub is undoubtedly a must-visit for those looking to dance the night away to an eclectic mix of beats. So, grab your friends, head to Milk, and prepare for a night of musical indulgence you wont soon forget.
Ridiculous place with no respect or personal boundaries for the customers. Watched a female security guard abuse her authority and assaulted a customer as she was leaving the club. This place is below average and below societal standards. Stay away.
I go every once in awhile but when I do I get served very well by my favorite bartender Angelika which makes the experience a lot more fun!
My first time at Milk bar and one of the bartenders was so inconsiderate and rude when I expressed that one of the arcade machines ate up some of my money. He said he couldn’t do anything about it and then a manager said he would but a drink for me since they could not give me my money back right away. Turns out the manager was also lying to me and had no intention of paying me back. Will not be coming back to an establishment that robs people of their money and are hostile and inappropriate to customers.
When I went, there were 5 rooms going with all different vibes so it was fun to wander around. Everyone was kind and there was a large variety of people. The rap room was really quiet even right in front of the speakers. So was the clockwork orange room. The other rooms had excellent sound though.
Not worth the $20 cover. The concept is cool in theory but the music could be more fun or actually mixed. I just will never bother going back when there’s a cover, it’s really not the right value for what you get
Milk bar is the coolest bar in Denver.... Bar none.Amazing music and DJs on multiple floors. Its a something you can really only experience in person.Milk has the most amazing kind and personable staff. Most night clubs have rude stiff obnoxious bartenders and bouncers. Milk is the opposite. Cat, Ashley, Sharnice, Isaiah, Devin and the entire milk bar team run an amazing operation.
Went to see the show after working your venue. security took my joint and threatened to kick me out. your security staff literally fell off the shortbus. you just lost a vendor and will not recommend your venue going forward.tldr; dont waste your money here
Went to a goth night but they played 80s new wave, the bathrooms were filthy and staff were pushing people into the stallsThe drinks were overpriced and the bar reeked of mid-life crisis
Went here for the first time and hated it. Place was dingy and gross, staff could care less, and I also got my pepper spray taken. Which would’ve been slightly okay if it had been there when I walked out, but it wasn’t. Presumably thrown away. I’d love to know their “women pepper spraying people haphazardly in the club” statistic for some reasoning on why it was taken and thrown away. So had to have a more dangerous walk home- thanks for that Milk Bar. Oh, and the cover fee was $20. You’d be better off LITERALLY anywhere else.
Kevin allison is an awesome dj. it’s pretty good for a snow day:)
Milk is one of the last great bars in Denver, love this place. Ang (Black hair, face of an angel) and Anthony (the gentle giant) are the best bartenders but everyone is fantastic!
I enjoyed playing pool so if youre the 1 I played with please come back!
Such an awesome space! Each room has a unique fit and finish from EDM, pop, and punk/shoegaze corps, plus some vendors (jewlery, crystals, etc). A shot and a beer is welcome but expect to pay top dollar for cocktails. Typically, a cover of $15 is requested at the door. In all honesy, with so many people and an over worked bar staff it is VERY easy to be over served here. Be vigilant and have a support group to make sure you get home after the festvities. Enjoy the space and take advantage of all it has to offer!
Ive come here a handful of times now, and every time has been a delight. I love the layout of the place -- having different rooms with different vibes is soooo nice. I love the outdoor area with the fire pits and really enjoy the little tables set up to sell hand-crafted items in one of the rooms. I usually go on Wednesdays, since the happy hour until midnight is great. Its quieter, but still has groups of people -- and everyone is SOOOOO friendly. I have met SUCH delightful and cool people here. The outfits rule, the vibes are excellent, and its really fun to dance or chill or talk to strangers. Plus, there are SOOOO many cool queer people there -- it feels very open to people of any identity.I have also been on Halloween, which was CRAZY. It was so busy and SO much more of the place was opened up (it has so many rooms??). It was weird to get herded out of a specific back door at the end of the night, but honestly it was so fun to hang out that I didnt mind much. The drinks are solid and the bartenders are all super nice. The security is also good in my experience. Im a nonbinary person who looks Really feminine, and I wandered into the mens restroom my first night there -- and security very politely asked me if I could leave. It would be cool if they were more open about it, but I get the desire to keep canoodling couples out, and they were very gentle about it.Definitely going to keep going back as much as I can!!
Marques was amazing!! the best bar and staff in Denver :)
Avoid if all possible. Pretending to be a local Denver spot but their workers are absolutely horrible. Let alone the owners. Avoid if all possible.
Awesome dance bar! I really enjoy the way this place is decorated. Theres multiple rooms with different themes and music genres. When you feel like moving to a another space, its really easy and I never felt crowded because of that.
This is one of my favorite bars in denver, many rooms with different music and atmosphere in each to fit your need. I wouldnt show up early as they usually open about 10 to 20 minutes late but as soon as theyre open its always a great time. With all the rooms and multiple floors its easy to get lost if its your first time but that makes it all the more fun so strap in and be ready for a full night of partying.
It’s a good time. However, how hard is it to replace 3 billiards bals and fix a pool table? Some people wanna have a break from dancing and have a nice game of pool because whoever runs the place is so cheap. You already have to pay a cover and a hefty price for drinks yet they can’t pay for an extra set of balls and a table that works properly. Unfortunate for those who don’t want to just mindlessly dance all night
This is a legit incredible bar. Cover has been $15 every time I’ve went, but while I really hate paying to get into these places, this club is soooo good. Best of the CoClubs that I’ve been to imo, but will have to try out Church still.I think this place is “Nation-Class” - been to a lot of clubs at a lot of different cities in NY, Chicago, LA, Seattle, Boston, etc. and I think Milk is amazing comparing to even those cities.Keep this place going - love it. I’ll go here over RiNo bars any day.
Love it has so many floors to explore.
Excellent place, the music and atmosphere are the best, I want to thank the legacy security who helped us to get an Uber and take care of us in the alley until our Uber arrives, they are the best guys!! 🥰
Cover charge on a Tuesday feels like I should get a free drink. Tuesdays are sad here, it used to be lit on taco techno Tuesdays. Now two rooms are open (maybe) and the crowd is disappointing.Wednesdays are definitely the night to come. Goth night never disappoints. Worth the $5
Went last night on NYE 2023. Paid for advance ticket, which cost me $30 + $4.70 in fees. Stood in a long 30+ minute line on icy sidewalks to get in. Those that didnt pay in advance had a shorter line and didnt pay any fees. So what was the point?-This was not a good start. It was nice that there were seven DJs in seven rooms, that is about the only plus. The cons: there is only one bathroom and the womens is so crowded they come into the mens room. Also a massive chokepoint in the hallway adjacent to the bathroom. It also seems they are exceeding their crowd limit. If there was a fire, you would be dead basically. Drink prices have sky rocketed! A double Jack Daniels and Coke will cost you $24 plus tip! $2 for a tiny plastic cup of Sprite! After 15+ years of patronizing, I am not coming back!!
Super cool place. All the rooms, super cozy
SO FUN! I love how BIG this club is. There are so many different dance floors and chill spaces (and a barcade!) so you will never be bored 😻
Absolutely love this club. Go every time we go to Denver
You cant beat goth night. Great bartenders, great DJs. The environment is fantastic. Its safe. Ive never had a creepy guy manhandle me here. Its a much better crowd with much better manners and they appreciate body space. The decor is eclectic. Its fun and everyone is friendly. I just love coming here!
As others have mentioned, the $20 cover has turned this place into a ghost town. Was mostly empty on a Saturday night. Will not be returning.
Some places say theyre open and accepting but when it comes down to it they dont show it when it matters. This place is not the case. I showed up with what I would consider a gender euphoria costume. And apparently when I was dancing, there was a group of bullies taking pics and laughing. The DJ noticed and stopped their set to put a stop to their actions. And things got pretty heated but they didnt just stop. They stood their ground and forced them to leave. Not all heros wear capes. Thank you Matthew. I hope you are paid well. I forgot to tip you but you definitely deserve a raise. I can only assume theyve handled other situations like this before with how fast they took action. Thank you forever.
I’m probably in the minority here, but Milk Bar is overrated. $15 entry which is just completely stupid to me when you’re paying $20 per cocktail AND you have to pay for water; the prices are just absurd. The place is a complete maze and really confusing to get around. Can’t imagine being drunk and trying switch rooms or leave. Music was about 10 decibels louder than it needed to be. If you’re like me and care about your hearing, you’d know that 100dB is quite a bit more damaging than 90dB. Don’t get me wrong, I like loud music but this was painfully loud. Conversation is effectively impossible. The only reason I’m not giving this 1 star is because they had different rooms with different themes/music so you can go to the one you like the most, as well as an open air deck on the 3rd floor.
Super fun spot to dance. Love the upstairs room that is hidden unless you know to go up. The vibes and DJ varieties in each room are unmatched. Can’t wait to dance again…
I went on the wrong side of the week. It was Friday and it was dead.
Mikey and Toni are the best bartenders you can ask for!
Will absolutely never go back to this place. Went here on Halloween weekend and the place was packed. At the end of the night when they were closing security was blocking all of the possible exits and sending us to dead ends. We were trapped in the place - tons of people. Could’ve been such a serious situation if there was an actual emergency. Don’t go here if you care about your safety. Really upset about my experience here.
So I came out with my friend and as we were ready to leave she left the doors we came in at and they refuse to let me leave with her and proceeded to give me directions to dead ends in the clubThis is the most sketchy club Ive been to and I will never return. Sorry not sorry, I strongly encourage others to seek other spots. If it werent for my uber driver driving around in circles with my friend who knows how Id get home. Honestly Ill never come back to this establishment. I go out and want to feel safe and instead I had to fight my way to exit safely. F that. And on a goth night 😩 first time last time.Feeling trapped was scary and frustrating.
Your bartenders need to be more respectful & drop the hustler mindset, Me and my boys paid over 500 hundred for drinks but couldn’t get a glass of water. I purchased a $12 drink and all he could offer me was a small 4 oz glass of water and said “that’s it, one time thing, or you can buy our $7 bottled water.” If you want your customers to stay, keep them hydrated without being hustlers. Not coming back
Went on a Saturday night, a couple of the rooms had really fun music (some industrial and synthwave stuff) the other had some more typical sounding stuff. Lots of different places to get a drink, drink prices werent the worst Ive seen. Staff and other patrons were all nice. Lots of different vibes, but everybody seemed to be having fun. Will definitely be going back, gotta check out one of the goth nights
A guard started a fight I watched the whole thing he told the man to leave as the man took steps backwards the guard attacked him along with another man the guy was left bloody truly a messed up thing to witness the guard should get tested for hiv with all that blood so just an update on the guy he may died from the injuries from your guard due to potential brain bleed at least that’s what I’ve heard from one of his friends
The vibes are amazing but $24 for a double mixed drink is ridiculous. Im from New York and we only deal with those kinds of prices at mid-high end places in the city... not a dive bar.
Great atmosphere, the venue is soooo dope. Loved the music, i think the hemmed nights are awesome. It’s not full of immature people, it’s a club for people who can be respectful. So much space and a plethora of places to sit and chill. Lots of room for dancing! The staff is so friendly and positive. I was visiting from out of town and discovered this place. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for an awesome experience
Staff checked on me when I fell while dancing. I was alright. Fun many kinds of different dancing rooms. Large variety of music and atmosphere choices. Friendly crowd
Ive of my favorite goth clubs in the country. Great space, with a variety of music in the different rooms. Do be leery of walking around at night in the area tho, several less than savory clubs around there. Of late its been getting a bit touristy, Beckys and Chads coming to gawk, but the clubs gotta make their money too 🤷
Security on their phones, being aggressive, refusing to call managers out. Dont go here if you dont know the place, security very skeptical about helping. One guy, Dave who seems to be the only knowledgeable one around, helped me well but wasnt dressed to fit the part, so even his credibility is questionable, at best! Go elsewhere. Very surprised vice hasnt been here! Yet....
Whenever someone visits we (Denver residents) say “yeahhhh that’s Denver!” Well this is a Denver social experiment that is a must…. Sushi to retail and everything in between. Someone coming in for a few hours or days… check this place out.
I had a wonderful time throughout the night. Not only that but that was only the start. My friend is a little crazy she decided to lose my keys. Going home waking up and realizing that are gone, in a panic wondering where to go. We headed to milk bar where the dancing, drinks, and all around vibes were off the charts. Ooh sorry a little off topic. Anyways before even opened they opened up and searched the place for my keys. And yes we found them. Honestly wonderful place I’m headed there tonight and will never have a bad thing to say about this place.
This place is amazing. Entrance is in an alley and plays great music. The night I was here, they were playing house in one room and hip hop, I think, in another. The fact they even have two music styles playing in two rooms is cool as hell to me. Supposedly inspired by the Milk bar in A Clockwork Orange, but I dont see it. Moderate drink prices.
I’m from Kansas City and went to Milk for a Birthday party! Cool place, and what I loved most is the eclectic interesting fun people! All kinds of beautiful people! I saw people from all backgrounds and it was refreshing! A little hot and sticky in one of the rooms, but can’t always control that. Overall, great place, nice staff, great drinks, great vibe! If you want to meet cool people, it’s a must go!
I didnt try their food so cant really give an opinion on it. But this is a very unique bar with multiple levels it can feel like a maze but overall very great atmosphere.
I got into a verbal argument with someone out side and the security guard that goes by tank came over and suckers punched me and then both the guard and the man I was arguing with beat me until I need emergency service I never through a single punch the guard started the fight and even when I was on the ground both the guard and the man I was arguing with continued to beat on me
Great place for drinks and good music during Goth night, which takes place every Wednesday night.Love the bartenders. They make great surprise me drinks for a cheap price. Just ask them for one, theyll prove it to you.Cozy and comfortable atmosphere, great for dancing and hanging out and meeting new people, or just being with friends.
Love this bar so much but some blonde puffy haired weird 17 year old bouncer kicked me out for participating in a mild mosh when the Dj played Rage Against the Machine. Super weird but whatever that dude has against fun, he should probably find a different occupation and maybe a girlfriend too.
Get some f!ck!*n fans. Ha that’s the only thing I’d change. This place is a ton of fun with a variety of rooms/djs that could appeal to everyone. It feels like one of those clubs you’d see in the movies where some shady drug dealer is hanging out in the back, but in the best way possible haha. It’s just exciting and has a ton of opportunities for fun. But for real It sucks to spend time in due to the lack of air circulation. Just throw a few ceiling fans in each room pleaaaaase. You’d get us to stay longer if we weren’t sweating through everything we’re wearing. Thanks all!
Its all worth it for the pool table and the redroom. The redroom was playing electronic/edm music on thursday but every other room wasnt. The smoke deck is more narrow than I thought ; its about 6 feet wide but 40 feet long but there are quite a few people out there until midnight. I suggest going out there if you want to meet someone because you cant hear anything inside because the music is so loud. But you know, its a club, what can you expect. 5/5 because its got good lights and a pool table and that edm/electronic music in the redroom.
My favorite bar/club to go to in all of Denver. The people are awesome, kind, and easy to start a conversation with. The place has several rooms, 3 different Djs and genres of music. They have a game room as well so you never get bored. The bartenders are absolutely great. Shout out to Suzanne, Fletcher, and Vincent! They are always kind, remember me, and what I drink. Its a great place all around and I love everything about it! So much fun!
Ive been going to Goth nights off and on since the mid 90s. This place has the worst one Ive ever seen. Yes, somehow worse music than in Tennessee Goth nights. Nothing but Hot Topic goths and mediocre EDM. 3 rooms of music and I didnt hear anything that wasnt mainstream as heck. The most obscure song I heard was Sneaker Pimps, which, lol
Great club - cover was $5 night we went, not sure if thats standard or not though. Every room plays different music and every room has its own bar. Theres a smoking room also. They have different themes in every room, ranging from oldies, techno, EDM, and hip hop. Worth checking out!
I normally love this place. Ive normally been upstairs and enjoyed this particular area. Last night was a different story. Nothing labeled stating my friends and I ended up in a new bar. No way to get back downstairs. Bouncers treating us like we were incarcerated. We were just trying to meet up with people for my birthday and they wouldnt verbally explain that we were no longer in Milk. Continuous shaking of the head and looking at us like we were 4. A few thoughts:1. Clearly label the location. Its dark and its a bar.2. Be a little kinder to your customers. Especially when they are asking simple questions.3. If an area is blocked off, have a person there. Not a trash can.4. Have your employees address others like they are adults, not stupid lost sheep. We were just confused why our normally fun spot was suddenly a completely different place. Felt like being a vegetarian but ordering a double cheeseburger.Thought about not writing this review and letting it go, but it was a huge letdown for many people. A birthday party became a scavenger hunt, and a place thats usually so welcoming and fun instantly became an exclusive, confining bird cage.Milk, please figure out a way to make your establishment a place where customers and employees can work/play smarter, not harder.
Id heard someplace this was a dive. Not so! Went to Goth night. Employees were great, polite and such. Bartenders were willing to make what I asked for, etc. Restrooms were clean. Lots of places to chill and talk. Lots of room for dancing too. Nice place.
Went for the first time last night and had a blast! Good atmosphere, friendly and approachable patrons, nice staff and great djs!I love how the 3 main rooms are all styled completely differently and each plays its own grenres. I got to dance to Puscifer and ABBA in the same night. How cool is that!Theres also lots of places to chill and sit when you are tired, theres a great rooftop patio with lots of couches for when youve danced too much. Best of all, the were ample bathrooms, all of which were well lit, full stocked and reasonably clean considering the volume of people they handle.I love this place and will be back!
1st time visiting Milk bar, great place the vibe was right and Ashley was the best! Great security also, would go back again!
Amazing staff at the front door and great vibes inside!!
Came for Goth night, not even my scene. It was a Wednesday night and I had a blast. Very welcoming and friendly people here. I will definitely be back. Its very accessible for those in wheelchairs however no access to patio.
Wasnt here for long but there are a few rooms that have an assortment of Gothic and Industrial music so you could probably find something youre into. Drinks were good and cheap. Good place for people watching. More legit than The Church.
With the entrance in the alley, this dark basement nightclub maintains a strong and eclectic local following. The two or three rooms (depending on the night) are mostly dance floor, and the drinks are strong and reasonably priced.A good place to go have a drink alone or with friends, mind your own business, dance or watch, and be respectful of others and expect the same.
Great place with a lot of different rooms to dance and lounge in. I definitely recommendUp jump the Boogie at the Milk Bar Babyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
We had a great time, lovely people, great atmosphere.Loved being able to go to different rooms with different music.Bartenders were very sweet.Only downside, broken atm and coat check only took cash; had to carry our coats all night.
When I lived in Denver, and before I had my daughter, this was the best club that I knew about, and went to every weekend. I usually hung out downstairs with the fellow goths, and played pool in the pool room, and I met a few of my friends there. Definitely 5 stars here, and will be there next time Im able to come to Denver
Milks strength is in options and cost. For an inexpensive $5 cover, you get access to 3 different dance areas with different types of music, typically electronica, 80s and goth. It can be a good crowd or not, like any place. We had a good evening and bailed when wed had enough without feeling like he had to get our moneys worth.
I dont get the hype. Why are people saying this place is worth going to? The alley way where you have to walk through had 4 homeless drunk/strung out people. It also smelled like urine and puke.I went today for Thursday drum and bass. It was okay at first and just turned strange coolio remix of gangsters life. It was quite awful. I thought it was drum and bass? Then the DJ switched to a top 40 song. It was god awful. Nothing close to drum and bass.I would like to say that goth night is quite fun with the two rooms open and you get to chill in a relaxed environment and theres eclectic, strange music. I was piss drunk when I went on goth night...So okay i cant completely fault milk but at the same time I felt stiffed by the tiny ass 4 oz plastic cups that they charge $10/drink for which BTW is mostly filled with ice. Terrible waste of money with awful music to boot. Sounds harsh but really, the living room was the gem in this area of bars. They had live jazz and it was fantastic with live band too. Not to mention nice quality drinks that are served in glasses with a relaxing clean environment.
I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful of an experience I had here. Brought my date as a surprise and they curated our drinks perfectly to our liking. Then the apps came and all it did was give me goosebumps for the main course. The atmosphere is sophisticated and sexy. Music comes on late night which pairs so well with the late night vibe. Moss was my server and I want to come back and request her again! Don’t think. Just come.
One of my favorite places to have a drink in Denver, music is always good and the bartenders are awesome!
This is one of my favorite places to dance in Denver! Lipstick night on Friday’s is so much fun. The place can be a little clicky but if you ignore the drama it’s a lot of fun!
Seriously the best club in Denver, love the ambience, they always play the best music, cheap drinks great bartenders, especially two one named Doug one named Vincent, if you see Doug ask for a pink lemonade! Not to mention a amazingly cheap cover! What’s not to love!
I absolutely love this place! It is probably the spot I frequent the most in Denver. Id say the best aspects are in that:1.) No two nights will be the same. Literally. The layout of the space will be varied from night to night-- youll have to go to understand!2.) It lacks pretentious folks. This is, in my book, amazing!3.) The music varies widely from night to night and room to room...move around, find what ya like!4.) The service is on par, prices reasonable, drinks well-poured. Staff has never been disrespectful to me or anyone accompanying me, period.5.) Nice, central location!Heads up tip: entrance is in the alley! Now, just go have a good time!In fact, its 9:15pm on a Friday as I type this, and Im realizing...I think I have some place to be! See ya there!
$15 cover and a Long Island iced tea was $20?! the couple next to me got well drinks, which were $14.
Great place to network good for meeting people and you can dance all night. The Darkroom is the best. Amazing dancers and really cool Locals. The sound system is the best in town. This is the place,
This review is for Nathaniel, who appears to be the same security guard (i.e., with the curly hair) who has made others in these low reviews feel racially profiled. Tonight, Nathanial prevented my partner from entering Milk with the claim that my partner was “wasted” and “could potentially create a problem at the club,” despite having absolutely no justification for nor evidence of this. Nathaniel insisted, “you better go back home,” when my partner pressed for an explanation. The other security guards apologized for the situation which is indicative of a problematic person more so than a problematic system.
Went with a group and had a great time dancing and was actually able to talk/hear each other. I like the other rooms too which blends different types of people to make one great party!
Amazing place to go if you love new wave, goth/industrial, and electronic. Each night they have different DJs, and at least 3 rooms with different music. Milk also has a huge patio if youre more into the smoking and hanging out scene. The aesthetic is amazing in here, and has really sick arcade. The only reason Im giving Milk 4 Stars is because the staff are a bit rude, but Cest la vie. It is a club after all.
It is a lot of fun but the bouncers do not care about womens safety. A man pushed me and when I went to ask for help from the head bouncer and he told me there was nothing he was going to do. Accused me of having sexual history with the gentleman and threatened to kick me out when I tried explaining I wasnt comfortable talking to him anymore. My friends then proceeded to try talking to other employees but because they were all friends with the man who put his hands on me, no one did anything. If youre a female, take extra precaution because the bar will not step in when you ask for help.
5 rooms no hip-hop if you love hip-hop stay away DONOT waste money and time, some rooms are almost empty. No diversity trailered to certo group of people, not even 90 or early 2000 hip hop. They sending a message stay away.
No water fountain, and stupidly difficult to get free water from bartenders. No coat check.
One of Denvers only opportunities for alternative clubbing. The goth nights on Weds and Saturdays both can be a lot of fun. Thursdays tend to be really quiet unless theres a special guest, which then means a cover charge.
Only reason Im giving Milk a 4 star review is because they started switching some of the weekend nights to a middle-school dance party instead of playing dirty dungeon beats all weekend (pre-covid Im just really delayed on reviews). Will I be back to this club when we can go inside again? Absolutely. Will I be happy with Lil Jon comes on? Probably not. Will I still dance? You betcha!
Best underground club in Denver. Thursday nights are the best if you like deep house/techno. A lot of great Djs worldwide are featured here. Einmusikk and soul button were here just a couple months ago...really cozy place and the bartender is awesome ! Great place to unwind and enjoy the music, the crowd is also very nice, good people, you can feel the vibe. Call and ask before if youre not sure about the music, chances are you will end up liking it anyway.
Came to Goth night tonight. Amazing service! Tried the cajun tacos. As amazing as they tasted, they had jalapeños...something I dont handle well. Cheryl (hostess) and Desiree( our awesome server) helped me combat my burning tongue. They really went above and beyond to help a woman out. Saved my night! I would have been normally running home after but I get to stay so...5 STARS!! Thank you ladies!!!
Very fun place to visit - especially on Goth Wednesdays! Drinks are relatively cheap and poured heavily. Great music and DJs all throughout the club - there is something for everyone! Loved it.
Wow, no more cupcakes. Not everyone can pay for your full cake prices so the cupcakes were a nice option. Very disappointed.
It was cute and fun to dance in. I was there for a drum and bass show they hold every Thursday and it was very nice as far as crowd size. The rooms are super cozy too.
They will not hesitate to take your money. No stamp, when you walk near entrance they will try and charge you twice. Avoid like the plague.
The vibe was nice but the drinks were not great. For one, they served them in flimsy plastic cups with mixer straws, I was cringing the whole time because of the sheer amount of waste and also the fact that it negatively impacted their image-it was trashy. For two, one of the bartenders was super rude. He was basically the opposite of friendly and I dont know why he still works there. I went up to him once and after that I asked my fiannce to buy my drinks so I didnt have to interact with him. My fiance and our friend noted his rudeness after we left, and said they solely utilized the other bartender after interacting with him. Third point, the drinks were just not crafted well. The screwdriver tasted like tap water and vodka with a splash of orange juice. It also looked like that. The ratios were not the same from drink to drink either. For $7 a drink I expect the mixer to know what they are doing. They also didnt have moscow mules because they didnt have ginger beer. Its not that big of a deal, but its a pretty standard drink that most places serve. I wonder if they dont offer it because they dont actually mix drinks properly. I honestly dont even want to come here again just because of those three things, even though the music was good and there were a decent amount of people there. If you dont want to drink there, you will like it.
Bad music for bad people. Ive been going to milk for years and I went last Saturday, music was busted, security guard was very clearly intoxicated and stumbling into the alley.
This club is so much fun. The different themed rooms were a blast.
Phone went missing out of my wallet while @ Milk. Staff let me give them a description of my phone to look for while they cleaned up and advised me to call the next day as well as message on facebook.I both called and left a facebook message. Manager doesnt answer the phone in the AM or PM when they opened again @ 5pm. Not able to leave a voicemail. No reply from facebook after 8hours.Staff great. Whoever manages... not so much.
10/10 experience! This place is SOOOOO fun!!!! Love love love Devin behind the bar! She’s the best!
The bouncers will NOT protect you. Find somewhere safer to party, especially women.
Goth/alternative club. Theyre open wednesday-saturday, which is kinda nice. The bartenders are friendly. And the people are cool in general. It depends on the night and whos being sponsered how much of the club is open/how crowded it is. But sometimes the cover is free, so who can complain really.
Milk is awesome. Its my favorite club in Denver. The only downside is that it can be pretty hard to find the first time (it has a rando alley entrance). Once you get there youre in for a good time though.
This club is so much fun!! I love the vibes, the people, and the music is so varied that everyone is pleased! Drinks are as expensive as they are at any club but considering the reasonable entry fees, im not too mad 😊
Drinks are 10+ dollars even for just a shot, plus you have to pay a cover no matter the time. The DJs talk more than they play music. Not the place it used to be.
Small venue / poor capacity management for a high fan based artist -- Also no AC.. It was super packed and not worth it. - However Im sure on a normal weekend this place could be decent.
Bizarre place with a sad sort of energy. If you’re going with a group, prepare to lose track of everyone almost immediately. This place is a maze of rooms and with the crowd that was in there for a “secret concert” it felt pretty unsafe. Just not my thing.
This place sucks balls! I came for the 80’s and there was absolutely no 80s, not even one song….
Fun place to go dance.
One of my favorite bars in CO. Music is dope, people are friendly, the rooms are very interesting and good lighting. Looking forward to the reopening!
Great DJs, great atmosphere, cheap cover, cheap drinks, several rooms to bounce between. Mostly wheelchair accessible: one room and the smoking deck has stair access.
At least there is some parking nearby. The staf is power hungry and kicked my friends out after only one drink (which was the ONLY one of the night).Power hungry and jealous staff. Won’t recommend.
Beautiful, wholesome goth / 80s club with typically awesome people, great DJs, and solid service. Visiting after 4 years away, Im making a point to go here at least twice before I leave.
What a great place! Friendly people, great bartenders, ambient atmosphere. 2 different dance floors spinning 80s and industrial music. I will be coming here again when I visit Denver!
Over-priced liquor and cover, atmosphere is unlike almost anywhere else Ive been.
I would rate a lot higher as I really like this place, its awesome and has multiple levels with different music on each floor, prices are reasonable etc. However, it says that its open until 2AM when in actuality the lights turn on and everyone gets kicked out anywhere from 20-40 minutes before closing, seemed to be at a different time everytime I went. So dont show up later in the night because you wont get as long as you expect/and pay for. Only once have I seen someone act belligerent who was bouncing up and down chaotically, bounced into me a few times and then wanted to fight me and this was in the chill retro room... made no sense at all.
The staff alters the tip amounts and charges patrons more than what they leave on credit card receipts. I visited Milk on 3/31/18 and had a bill of $18.00 and left a $3.00 tip. My bank alerted me on 4/4/18 that a $13.00 tip was left on an $18.00 tab. Needless to say, the bartender who served me added a 1 to the front of my tip to increase his profits. Ive contacted Milk who never responded to my complaint and filed a dispute with my bank and left a complaint with the BBB.
One of my fav bars to take people who want to have a good time! So many cool floors, music and atmosphere!
So much fun to explore. Lots of venues in one- makes it a good place for people who dont know exactly what they want for a night out. Excellent music.
One of the best nightclubs in Denver. If you want 80s and industrial this is the place. Some of the best people watching you will ever see.
Interesting place. It closed early when we were there and the music was a little outdated but we generally had a good time. I like the retro atmosphere though and would visit again maybe on a weekend
My son loves this place
I really enjoy this club but the speakers are CRAZY LOUD for such a small space. I do not know why they want to make you deaf listening to depeche mode.
Such and interesting and awesome club. Apparently there are between 7-12 different rooms depending on who you ask, but I was only able to find 5. Very funky vibe
For a $15 cover coild we at least get a decent goth dj?
Chin was amazing coat check gal, hooked us up and we lit it up the rest of the night
Paid money to get in ahead of time, still had to wait for 30+ minutes despite paying 30$. If you go in the alley you can get in for a bit more but with no line. Ridiculous.
Dude why is the cover $20. And the chashier said it doesnt even go back to the workers. Who is taking all the money???
Awesome place - you will have a blast. Great music (electronic/industrial, and 80s room also. Cheap strong drinks.
Great place it’s underground bar not just one bar like 4 or 5 bars in one place pretty cool vibes I will be back for sure
Lot of dance rooms/floors with different kinds of music in each. Crowd is great, drinks are awesome, servers are kind!
I love it here! Vibe is awesome and the staff are all great 😄
I must go on the wrong nights because it seems to have a scary crowd when I attend. At the same time the security seems to do a good job of holding the place down and the bartenders arent the worst in town.
This is probably my favorite place, but with a 10$ cover your wells shots cannot also be 10$That is absurdPregame pregame pregame
Oh how I loved Goth nights when I went there years ago! Those were such great memories!
Horrible guards would not go if you value your safety
Very cool! We had a blast navigating the different rooms and areas. There’s a “vibe” for everyone !
At least one room should be darker with fewer lights. The vibe doesnt change enough between each room
If I could give this place negative stars, I would.. Point is, my best friend had went here the other night, was ruffied and possibly raped.. Apparently this happens often here according to others that weve spoke with.. It also apparently is ok to bring in duffle to this establishment.. All in all, dont be a victim..
Pretty great variety of music played here on different floors. Wish they played some bad bunny though!
Always a fun time here with friendly staff and good drinks.
Want a fun night out? This is the spot!!! Devin the bartender is the best!!
Best nightclub in Denver. Four different rooms with different themes, and activities every night of the week and throughout the month.
Alternative club with 3 rooms for dancing each with their own bar. Heated smoking deck for when you need a break from the crowd inside in the winter.
