I came from St.louis and my friend took us here July 4th an it was a live band that sounded amazing Saturday night we went again boyyy the like to party never heard so many slide songs dance floor stayed packed & best thing ever no young people 40 and up thank u so much had a great time at Chicago Bar & Grill

Really nice place for music, dancing and eating. My fried fish plate was very good. Apple martini was great!

The Chicago Bar & Grill was a great place to have my 60th Birthday party but I was a bit disappointed in the service I received. I paid $400 for food and the amount of food I paid for was not enough to feed 20 guest and I had 60 guest and I let them know the number of guest i was expecting at my party and there was not enough food to accommodate my guest. I was told I would have a server and when I asked about the server the lady was rude to me so i just disregarded it because I did not want to ruin my special day. If you’re not allow to bring food in, the amount of money I paid I should have had enough food and I should have gotten what I paid for. I will not be recommending The Chicago Bar & Grill to anyone wanting to have a birthday party. I think the service could have been better. Angela Johnson

I love coming here. The food is so good..especially the wings. The vibe is great if you like to dance. There is a lot of line dancing, which is always fun. The crowd is a little older, so if you dont mind that... you will enjoy yourself

I celebrated my 59th birthday at the Chicago Bar and Grill. The music was perfect, the food and service was awesome. I will make plans to come back. My guests and l were completely satisfied with our small party celebration.

Went here for a birthday party and had a blast. Tight fit in the area we had but well worth it. Music was unbelievable and food was so much better than I thought it would be. Well be back!!

They need to get a new dj when you asked to play a request he never does. The few times I been there I have asked him to play something and he never does. I am going to stop coming and go to red rooster on the south side I dont like driving way over there but I am. Jamie the bartender I Love her. Keep her please she really knows how to fixed a drink

DJ could do better with the mixture of songs played. If people are not staying on the floor when a song is played (especially multiple times), then thats a que that they are not into it. Waitress was okay. The manager pr acting manager was rude and biased. The manager said you couldnt take a chair from another table even if the attendants said it was okay, but she failed to address the other tables to the right of us that were doing the same thing. Lol. What a joke. Maam stop. Behavior like that muddys the water up because a policy is not being applied consistently. SMH.

Celebrated a friends bday here, vibe was great and dj was on point. I personally didnt order anything from here being our party had food, and i had already had drinks but the atmosphere was great and energy was cool. $10 after 9 but it was worth it. Free parking and they are strict with NO baseball caps, my husband had to take his to the cat. Great spot to have a function or just come for a night out

UPDATE: 4/20They updated and expanded and ITS GREAT!So happy to see this spot grow and it is my favorite place to go on Fri or Sat.Good food, strong drinks, top notch service! Perfect for birthdays!If it werent for the cover charge...I enjoy this place tho

Attended a birthday for my sister, we had a great time. Atmosphere was excellent. The service was good until it started getting packed, but we managed by going to the bar on our own. That was not a problem for us because we had a large gathering of people, and our section was top notch, and the DJ was a hit. He played a mixture of music, honored requests, and plenty birthday shout-outs. We are already planning for a holiday party at Chicago Bar & Grill.

I like this place and the owner. The only issue I had was a bartender trying to charge me $40 for a drink, which is served in a martini glass. She wanted to serve it in a beer glass. As a chef, my nerves were shot, as she was a bartender who didnt know what it was or how to make it.

Wings are super awesome asked for them extra hot and they came out perfect my wife ordered the shrimp basket being pregnant didnt expect her to enjoy much food but she loved it wed come back definitely

We went for a birthday party and it was pretty cool. The food was catered by the establishment from what I was told and it was delicious. The drinks were a nice size. The only issue we had was we received a drink that we didn’t like. The waiter asked how it was and we told her it wasn’t good so she took it back. Well it was full when it was sent back and we were charged for it anyway…I told the waiter we would have made do if we knew we were still going to be charged for a drink that was sent back, she did replace it after voicing that concern. Cool place, chill vibe, we will go back.

Made reservations for a birthday party. I was told it would be NO problem, the space I requested was available and that it would be held for me. Upon arriving the VERY next day to pay for it, I was informed that space was no longer available!!! When I asked why, what happened in less than 24 hours, no reason or explanation was given, the employee was very nonchalant, cold, uncaring and unapologetic!!If payment or a deposit was required in advance, I was prepared and informed the employee that I could do so over the phone. He insisted that we needed to come in and sign paperwork. So following his instructions, I went in the next day, less than 24 hours after making reservations, only to be told it wasn’t available!!!As a minority business owner, I know the importance of supporting black owned businesses. But, it is very difficult to support the business, when the business is not being operated properly. If you want this support of your community, then show them!!WILL NOT BE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

I went to bring in 2024. The cover charge that included Champagne and a Buffet was a little much considering what was offered in the Buffet and how little Champagne I got. There was a live band, the lack of clarity in their speakers took away from the performance. The atmosphere was very nice. I will return again for future events.

A friend had a birthday party. The information was changed at the last moment regarding the charge at the door. We paid more than was promised. Also the security was rude, women’s restrooms did not have proper accommodations. The drinks were incorrect and to be taken back to the. Barmaid. The waitress lied about the type of wine that was presented, and also asked for a tip! Unprofessional-we were treated like we were a lower class. I make great money and don’t mind spending it anywhere as long as the service and staff is up to standards but they weren’t. You have lost several customers!

Believe it or not I had a really good time. I normally dont hangout with people and/or females in my age group, but the majority of the ladies dressed appropriately for there age and not over weight!I find that when most ladies 40+ use kids as an excuse for letting themselves go. Anytime U ware more than a size 10, you are probably beyond your prime!

Had a great time at the Chicago bar and grill. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was outstanding. They played old-school r&b music. They have two dance floors and two bars. If youre looking for a place to hold a party this is the place to have it.

Nice atmosphere, good drinks and food...how could you go wrong?! The only issue I had was the fact that they had limited seating. That was very frustrating, but other than that...I had a really nice time!

The band is really good like 9/10. The singers are 8/10. The ambiance is 9/10. The food is 8/10. The customer service is 10/10. Very reasonable prices. My only complaint is that the food took almost an hour. I would recommend to 40+ crowd

Nice place. The food is amazing and the live band is to die for. Service is very slow. Place all your drink and food orders early because its going to be a while before you get it.

Out waitress was awesome!!!! She kept the drinks flowing all night. The atmosphere was very grown and sexy.

If you looking for a laid back spot with mature adults that plays R&B and a lil hip hop and does line dancing and couples dancing this is the spot for you! I absolutely love coming to this place. I dont like young people clubs but if I want a night of dancing and fun this is it.

Cool spot nice music. One of the wait staff thought I had too much to drink she took my drink order and never returned. I found her and she gave me back my money. She tried to finess me. Lol. I like the older crowd but the womens room is nasty. They need to hire a bathroom attendant.

I had a bad experience with one of the waiters. She charged my debit card when I told her I wanted to pay with cash. It was the only way I could start my tab if she had my debit card and ID. So after paying with cash and leaving a tip, she still charged my card. And its so expensive as well, but just my opinion.

We only have drinks here, but drinks were great. They also have line dance classes. Which I want to try out

I visited this place once before taking my mom out for her 55th birthday I enjoyed my time when I went this was December 2022. However my fiance is going there for his birthday. I dont like the fact that we have have a section we booked but then people we invited for his birthday will have to pay entry fees.... Im from San Antonio so I dont know how the Houston nightlife is however if Im spending $300 plus whoever its on my list (should there be a list) should be able to be invited for free but hey... they can run their establishment the way they like.

You havent been here??? Time to change that TODAY! Best wings and fries in the area, especially their Skyline wings.🥰 The place is a whole vibe from the moment they open to the time they close. Cute and friendly staff also. The only negative thing I can really say is that I have to wait until 5pm for them to open.

The atmosphere was relaxed and played great music. The waitress made sure we were taken care of everything step of the way(attentive). The parking was plentiful. We got there about 8pm and easily able to choose our seating. It was a $5 per person cover for a Sunday night with a live band. We danced the night away and the drinks were good as well. Recommend this chill spot. It had both an older to younger crowd rocking the place. The ambiance was great and romantic with amazing music. We will definitely be back soon.

I used to love coming here but then it changed. The positive energy isn’t there anymore. I love the line dancing and to watch the older people dance. Also, Friday the DJ is not good. Idk what kind of music he plays. Oh and the main reason I really posted this review, the bartender at the front bar with the blonde hair (the older one with her nose up) she is so freaking rude!! She threw my drink at me sooooo unprofessional and I’ve been going there faithfully for a while now spending my money. Last few times I think she watered down my drink on purpose. And they all charge different prices.They should just fire the whole staff and start over! Only gave them a 2 star rating because the chicken wings are good. Go on Saturday night when Blue the DJ is there. He at least plays a mixture of music and have the crowd up dancing.Edited: (Todays date is 07/03/2023 )Since Ive posted this review, I’ve gone back and something else happened. Me and my friend both purchased the same thing, we got a fishplate and and a drink. It came out around $35, cool, no problem. Left the waitress a 18% tip like I always do which was like $6.30. 2 or 3 days later both our cards were double charged. Said the tip was $26.30. The waitress had to write on the ticket and change amount. Our cards were charged $66 for a fishplate, a margarita, and a tip!! DO NOT use your cards. Use cash!!! They will certainly double charge your cards. That is so crazy!! I damn near filed a police report because this has happened several times before but not this big of amount. The owners should be ashamed letting ppl like that work in their establishment stealing tips. And it be the waitresses that’s been there for years. I’m about to take a break from going!!

The band on Sunday is good but the drinks are weak, and you pay $10 cover charge (use to be $5). $9 for Ketel One and $11 for a very weak Long Island Ice Tea. I had 3 drinks and no buzz. The crowd is older but the atmosphere is upbeat. For a bar its a nice place to go to meet friends or to dance but definitely dont go for the drinks. Unfortunately, it has become boring. The crowd seems to be in their mid 60s and not as many people even on a holiday weekend. Plus, the cost of drinks has gone up.

The atmosphere was definitely amazing the food was good the drinks was strong and the service was great will definitely go again soon

Simple, safe fun place. The times I have been there, the patrons were mostly above 55yrs of age. The music careers for the patrons, but I enjoyed going there with my mom and dad. The men there were gentlemen and I got a good, positive vibe being being there and was not apprehensive about some guy being pushy or some violence or fighting erupting. The wings platter was good a d reasonably priced. We went on a Saturday and my female cousin had on sneakers and they let us in without any hassles. Cover charge was $5 pp and we arrived there around 9pm. Its a fancy or pretentious place but its fun. Its like watching your older uncles and aunts enjoying themselves.Cons: the wine selection is not good and the waitress did not know things which were on the menu.

My friends and I visited this club last weekend! The good thing is they stay open till 2am! Great food and drinks! That night, they were really busy and it seemed like they were short staffed like they only had 2 bartenders. So the only thing is we waited a while for a drink! But aside from that the atmosphere was fun, and everyone was dancing and having a blast. I would definitely recommend this club! And we will definitely be back!

This is a really chill and fun adult spot. The atmosphere is always good and positive. If you love line dancing and old school R&B with a little old school/down south rap yoi will love thos place. Drinks are strong and the staff is very nice. I rented a section which included food for my wifes birthday party.

Chicago bar and grill is the place to be on a Saturday or Sunday. The people there are cool country and down to earth. Everyone line dances there to line dancing songs. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are stiff. You wont be disappointed. Ive been their two times so far and me and my friends are still talking about it. Its really a place to eat and bring a friend. Practice be prepared and know your line dances. God bless

This is a great place for a mature crowd, 35+ in my opinion.That was my type of crowd.We had a great time. The owner even came around to tables. She was very pleasant. The food was also good. They DJ played a variety of music for everyone.

Been going here since about 2018. Fish and chicken is delicious and Ken the bartender is always personable and makes the best drinks. Sundays are my favorite as the crowd is older and they line dance and have a live band. Get the watermelon long Island and lemon pepper wings!

Nice taste place to take a date, or chill by yourself. DJ was pretty good; kept the people moving on the dance floor. Drinks and waitresses were good too. It was a Saturday night, wasnt that crowded.. it was just right. The women in club were just okay. Nothing special; nothing to write home to Mom about, but definitely something to take home if thats what you wanted to do.

This place is a rip off. They literally try to charge people for being one or couple minutes late at the door. The lady at the door is rude and unprofessional. The Owner doesnt come out to resolve issues. He sends an inept manager who lacks knowledge. The bar staff makes awful drinks and all charge a different price. They are lazy and more interested in talking to each other. The customers are an afterthought. Dont waste your time or money. This place used to be nice but is a joke now. It is an embarrassment to black owned businesses and businesses in general.

Come see me, and have some wings theyre great! I suggest the skyline! Ill be either at the bar or on the floor serving! Just ask for Mo 😍

I attended a friends birthday there it was absolutely awesome. I had not been there in many years the location has changed. I will go back the drinks werent that great. But the environment was very healthy and good.

Twenty dollars is a lot of money for entry for just a DJ. This spot is really nice, great dancers. I must say the DJ is very good, the waitress was on point with drinks, the food was slow I almost forgot I ordered food but it was very tasty. Great Bar for R&B music and dancing.

We really enjoyed the Chicago bar and Grill. We have been there before. Both times, we went for a birthday party. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. There is a mixed age range of people that go to the club. I think they also have live music on occasion.

Loved the music, and decor. I ordered a shrimp poor boy and fries. The food was good and came to me hot. Two drinks and food only cost me $30. I recommend going especially if you like to two step.

I normally enjoy this place but on Friday the Tequila was awful, way too cheap. I tried adding coke, but the coke was Flat, that made it worse. The waitress was nice and definitely a hard worker but she was over worked., handling all those tables and a party too. Do better with the drinks, DJ music and workers.

The Saturday that I went seemed more like a hood night. A young guy that sat across from us pants was sagging below his butt.I had to go ask the waiter if she had forgotten my food order.Im assuming this lady was the owner, moved the chair at my table for another person to get by to their table, bumped my leg with the chair and didnt apologize.

I usually have a good time, but I was there last Sunday 8/8/2021 the waitress spilled my drink all over me and kept repeating she was tired from her other job. She came back with another drink and expected me to pay for it. Additionally, the bathroom was not very tidy and only one stall was operating. This place is always packed with people you would think the owner would pay attention to the faithful patrons and keep the place nice with professional waitresses.

(Went on a friday) Great place. A little bit for the older crowd but if you like a mix of older music and younger music then this is your spot. The older crowd will get up and do their line dances Family reunion line dances. The DJ was great. The servers are a little slow but demand you to rush giving your order to them. Wings were great and a great price. PAY in CASH. The bartender ended up giving my husbands card to another person. Manager handled the situation professionally and said he would take care our meal but still waiting on that. Believe that the situation was a fluke. Even with everything I would still recommend this place.

The Club is nice. A mix crowd of thirties and up. The food is great from the wings to my favorite the catfish nuggets. Dont forget to try the boudin balls. The DJ also mixes it up from old school to new school. So it makes for a great night of dancing. If you like dancing as much as I do; t is one of the few places where you can try your new and old dancing moves.

Went here for a private bday party. Great DJ & nice staff!!! I like the alcove/sections for private events (and you can still see & get to the dance floor). We really enjoyed ourselves & the Doormen were gentlemen and opened the doors for us (both sets) when we were leaving.

Great spot for an older crowd. Im 25 & I like hip hop. They have a mix between zydeco, 2000s-90s R&B, & modern day hip hop. Not a fan of zydeco but the DJ goes back in fourth between the different genres to make everyone comfortable. They also have an open kitchen. The wings are great & the wait staff are always attentive & swift.

Great Atmosphere but, service sucks. If you’re a party are large group they don’t even stop to asked if you want a drink. Been in this place to long without put any customer service. That’s what happens when it’s a lot of young adults working. They have no customer service skills

I love how they keep the original way to go out, dance, and have a good time!!! No hookahs, not a bunch off people just sitting down on their phones. It’s just a real vibe here. And it’s fun… But the food is GREAT!!!! Everything on the menu is worth getting! Try the Skyline wings!

When I walked into the place I was warmly greeted by what turned out to be the co-owner of the club Mrs. Smith. As this was my first time there I was given a brief tour and told about the history of the place. It is a very clean, classy establishment and all of the staff are friendly, yet professional. I had the Chicago Cubs burger, which was cooked to perfection, and the seasoned fries were piping hot. The bartender, a sweet young lady, kept my glass full of Coke and I wanted for nothing. Now full disclosure, Mrs. Smith is an old high school friend of mine. However, anyone who came into the club was treated as if they too had known the Smiths for many years. The atmosphere was quite nice and the entertainment that they had was great (sorry but I dont know the name of the couple that sang, but they were very good). While it was a more seasoned crowd there were some younger couples there as well. And, on Sunday, 09/01/19, the Bar Ks will be live, in concert, there. Overall it was the kind of experience that keeps you coming back for more. And, the next time I am in Houston, as Arnold would say, Ill be back!

Had an absolute blast. The DJ knows how to play an assortment of music and talk to the crowd to keep everyone engaged. No ones here to cause any trouble, they just want to dance. And the dancing is great to watch...or be a part of. Definitely going again.

This place has a nice adult atmosphere. Both the men and the women were respectful. Everybody was there to have a good time. Good music an affordable cover charge. I would recommend it for a adult night out or birthday party.

Chicago Bar & Grill was very nice. I would say this is an older crowd, but they still played the latest hip hop and r&b. The drinks were really good and prices are decent. I had to parking issues and the food was not bad either. Fridays are a bit more laid back than Saturdays, but both nights were nice.

I love hanging out at this spot! Plenty of parking, friendly people and a cozy place! The live bands are intangible❤ (After thought) Although the band(Hard To Find)is nice, I wish the club would have different bands every once in a while.

Quaint spot with a family reunion atmosphere. A lot of line dance music, stepper groves and 90s hip hop. Music ranges from Zydeco to Ellai Mai. 30+ crowd. No nonsense, very chill. Good drinks and the wait staff was cool.

Neat & clean, except 4 the mens bathroom, with good music, that is if U enjoy Old School, for the most part! Caters to a much older crowd (45+) so they rarely played music from 2010 and beyond. For some reason they think Zodic is acceptable! To much line dancing! If you like older women that are well beyond there prime, then this is definitely the place 4 you. Most women ware weaves and are overweight!

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The kitchen/menu needs attention-- food not good or worth the price

Nice place for older crowd to hang. Lots of spacing. No smoking but outside on patio. DJ needs more skill on how to move a crowd and continue the groove. But over all, good music. Food was good and 2 full bars. And 2 dance floors. Lots of parking.

Super cool spot with great music!

As this place is very nice and layed back, let me start by saying its free before 9 but the lady at the door scheming people to have to pay to come back in if you go outside more than once. The musical chairs with the drinks take your drink before you finished so will have to purchase another one. I loved it here but reason i stopped going in the first place.

The Grill is awesome, their wings are excellent. a great place to come to dance, talk, and laugh amidst adults that want to do the same.took a dance class and really enjoyed it, I had been a looooong time coming!! Thx CBG

Went to Chicago Bar & Grill last night to see the Bar-Kay’s. They put on a great performance. Excellent grown and sexy ambiance. The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced too and the staff are friendly. I will definitely be returning soon.

55+ crowd. I go with my mom when she wants to hang out. There are a few younger 35+ there. But its always a good time. Sometimes theres a band, others theres a DJ. Drinks are fantastically strong.

Great for date night . 30+ crowd. Chill grooves, line dance and R&B music. They will twerk it out with trap beats too. Dress up or down. Good drinks and good food. Reasonably priced.

I want to give a shout out to the waitress her name was Ralph she did an awesome job even though the food that I got served came slow wasnt her fault I can tell that the cook was kind of behind I seen everybody else get their food a little late as well the drinks was awesome the music was okay too much that music for me but I guess its an old school club so but for the most part I had a good time once again shout out to the waitress Ralph you go girl

The Chicago bar-and-grill is a nice spot to listen to music and spend time catching up with family and friends. They play a variety of music including hip hop, R and B, Stepping, and jazz. They have numerous tables providing a lot of options for seating with great views of the dance floor in the center. The dance floor is large allowing Room to do line dancing and for couples to dance together. The bartending staff was courteous and helpful and she attended to our needs, checking in on us regularly. It was pretty quiet during happy hour time, but it became busier as a night moved on without being too crowded. The one thing which wasnt as good was the food. I ordered the grilled catfish which lacked flavor and the veggie side was bland. If you are looking for a lay back environment to hear some good music and do some drinking or dancing, then Chicago bar is a great place!

What happened to the great band that preforms on Sunday nights? They were definitely a miss. Also, the crowd was elderly. Nothing against seniors, but its not something 40 somethings want to do! Food was good though..

I was there on a Saturday night. They had a DJ, Incredible I think his name was. Anyway, he was great. A party is only as good as the DJ, and he was great! We had a great time.

Nice adult ambiance. My biggest problem is the HEAT. that place is too hot. Bring your portable fans, ladies, and a hand towel. Need better AC units.

I love this place! When I want to hear great music with a mature crowd of people; this is one of my go to spots. I love when the live band plays too. Only thing is, I wished they didn’t charge to get in.

The atmosphere is adult...grown and sexy. My friends secured the VIP for their birthday. For a large party ask had one server, which left a lot to be desired. The food was okay, but was not what we expected. Ive been there several times myself and suggested/confirmed that this would be great for their 40th BIRTHDAY party. Overall, if it had not been a VIP party and we ate in (straight from the kitchen) and hand not been required to order from the vendor, Im sure everything would have been great. I suggest this place...but for more of a date and couple thing...not a big party. Give it 5 stars for date/couple outings.

Enjoyed the club but the music that the band plays is so old and the dj music is old music also. The crowd is so diverse in their dance styles but the music doesnt crossover to accommodate those styles. We had 12 people their on Sunday night to attend Q birthday party we are all from Chicago and we heard 2 songs that we could dance to. For the club to be called Chicago Bar and Grill the music doesnt reflect anything about Chicago just some of the music to make people from Chicago who love to dance fell welcome. I would suggest that the band upgrade their music and during intermission get another dj who knows different genres of music to play so that everyone could dance. I hope you really consider everything that was said thanks

Love going here. Definitely for people who love to have fun. I do not feel like you have to stand up the entire time as there is decent seating.

I was taken aback with this place. First of all I was very happy with the service. But... the surprise came when I ordered food. My order was; Mozzarella Sticks and Seafood Gumbo. I received 4, (very small cheese sticks. (I expected at least a 6 pack for the $4.50). The Seafood Gumbo, hmm! I suppose it was somewhat flavorful. But for $9.50 I did not expect a plastic spoon. I should have given just one star but the server was very good and I tipped her appropriately. Overall, thanks but no thanks.

Fell in there just to check it out & loved it. Beautiful Sistas that actually danced with the fellas. Drinks was on point. Didn’t order any food cuz I was expecting them to have that famous ChiTown mild sauce. Hopefully they add it to their menu. DJ was jammin. He didn’t play none of that new bs music..Nothing but good vibes.. Definitely for the grown & sexy.

I have been a regular customer of this club for at least the last 5 years. I have supported every event they have there, have gotten to know all of the bartenders, the owner, and managers, DJ, bouncer, and most if not all of the customers especially those that are there on a regular basis. However, on my special night as I celebrated my 50th birthday my guest along with myself were treated extremely rude and made to feel extremely uncomfortable. The manager Crystal treated us like we were salvages from the street!!! I originally planned to have a official party there, due to some financial difficulties I had to cancel. But I was still going to bring my crowd there, and order food for everyone! I was charged the party rate even after she remove the party set up from my area. Asked some of my guest to move from the area and we was not allowed to sit in that area. I understand if they would have had other guest booked but they didnt! I had the worst experience ever on a night that should have been my very special night!

Nice little outing we had while in H-Town this weekend. Texas is 100% open and it showed on Saturday night. It was packed! I did like the fact you still had to enter with your 😷 and they checked your temp at the door. They had you wait a few minutes to allow others to come out to keep crowd down. I appreciated that! #DallasGurrlll!!!

Yesterday was my second time going to this bar the first time I had a great time, but Yesterday was not the same. So I was sitting in a section the waitress ( a lady with red dreads) came I asked for a menu so I can order me some food she said give me a second and Ill be right back. Im ok I understand its busy time go by still no menu. My cousin asked did you order your food no still waiting on a menu. Luckily it was one sitting on the table. The waitress comes back now Im ready to order she tells me she coming back again...long story short I waited two hours I never put my order in. So I left, but I had to let her know how unprofessional she was. She gone tell me players mess up to no maam you are not a player you are a waitress that is supposed to sever your customers.

Ive been here several times with friends. The place is really good for chicken wings and mixed drinks. They have a dance floor and a DJ who plays really good music. Some nights if theres a comedian, there is a cover charge but its only about $10.

Watch out the servers and bartenders there fellows! they scam your card and charge a ridiculous amount on it. I have been charged for something i never had and never signed. they bartenders have their friends around the counter and charge your card to their friends purchase or maybe transfer that as tips. just keep your eyes open with those scammers bartenders. the place itself is good and fun but the workers are horrible.

This was my first time there an it was Amazing, the food ,the music, the waitress, the people,the bathrooms were very clean,love the high chairs, watching the steppers,I would tell anyone to check it out.. I give this place an A+,A+..I will be back

My wifes friend wanted to hangout for her husbands birthday so they chose Chicago Bar and Grill. I hadnt been there in awhile so I agreed. I was not paying a cover charge knowing I was also going to buy food so I made a point to arrive before 9:00 pm. My wife and I arrived at 8:47 pm. One of the owners/managers always remember us from numerous parties we have had there in the past and always greet us with a hug and a smile which is nice considering we are not real regulars there. We sat at a table near the back bar around 8:55pm with my wifes friend and husband arriving approximately 30 minutes later. We ordered numerous drinks and food with the waitress (more details on that later). At exactly 10:41pm some dude I guess is part of management came directly to us and told us the table we were at was reserved and we couldnt stay there. I personally had no intention on moving so I just looked at him. We arrived early to miss the cover charge and get a table and this table did not have a reserve marker on it. How could it have been possible to sit at a table for almost 2 hours with the waitress covering that particular table serving us drinks and food all of a sudden become reserved? He eventually asked the waitress if this table was reserved (which he should have did before confronting customers) and she told him no. He eventually came back and said we can stay here but never really apologized for making the mistake saying it almost like he was doing us a favor. As far as the food go, something must have changed because I have definitely had better here in the past. Also, for as long as we waited for it, the food should have been some what hotter. The drinks were also weak. I had 3 long islands myself and didnt feel anything from them. I rather buy mixed drinks when I am out because I just hate buying a beer for the same price as a six pack but I guess it is what it is.

Out later than usual, I was enjoying a family members Birthday this Sunday when I ordered my first drink,- a Captain and Diet. The very profession a bartender apparently didnt hear me well, and thus gave me the most distasteful concoction ever(including diet coke).I went back to the bar and edged my way around the cowboy door to get as close as I could to the other bartender, gave her the defective drink and ordered a Captain and coke. She gave me what was obviously the same Pine Sol and menthol alcohol(plus coke) that I had gotten before.I u-turned and leaned over to her and said, I dont know what this is. sat the drink, on the bar, went to say bye to my family 10 feet away and leave. As I stood up from leaning over hug my folks to depart( litetally 15 seconds), one of the bouncers who materialized inches away, instantly did everything that he could to pick a fight with me, accusing me of slamming a drink on the bar. You mean that full drink on the rubber mat there? Lol. -What children. What poor service and a horrible way to throw away$30 on 2 drinks.

Im new to Houston & needed a spot to let my hair down. Chicago bar & grill was the bomb. I had soooo much fun & I danced until closing time. I love the atmosphere, age range & the music was awesome. Definitely coming back & happy to recommend.

I came on a Wednesday and they have dance lessons. Its a really laid-back place that plays a mixture of two-step an adult contemporary the mixed with hip-hop as well. It is a good balance. It wasnt too crowded the drinks and the food were good as well. I will definitely come back. 23 and up

I went to a concert, Lakeside, and they were unbelievably awesome but the owner just sold tics. He most certainly didnt prepare for the guests, they had 1 cook and it appeared 1 waitress! Me and my guest waited at least an hour for a glass of water and another hour for our food! WOW! Needless to say, the service was absolutely awful! Maybe under a normal night out, its not so bad. I certainly hope so. I felt bad for the cook and the waitress. I probably would have walked away from that job tonight!

The DJ was great. The club is spacious. I didn’t order a drink, so I can’t tell you if they are expensive or not. The cover charge after 9 on Saturday was $10.

I’ve been a frequent customer since 2016 and I absolutely love the environment and the DJ. DJ Blue knows how to keep shoes on the dance floor. This place is definitely for the grown and sexy

I love old-school Sunday nights here. The drinks are good, the food is great and affordable, and the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. These people put really young people like me to shame lol. Us younger people can definitely learn a thing or two from them. They dance new school, oldschool, swing dance, line dancing Chicago style dancing.....they do it all and when I tell you they can dance allllll night, I mean it. Its a really fun atmosphere and Ive never run into anyone rude or outright disrespectful here. I will say that the waitresses need a little work though because some of them are really forgetful and youll end up waiting 30 minutes for a drink order they forgot to put in. You also need to remind them of whatever food you ordered because theyll sometimes forget and by time they bring it out itll be cold. Thats the only thing Ive ever has to complain about here and Ive come here on and off for 4 years now.

Nice club atmosphere. Waitresses were nice and hospitable and on time. The DJ pretty good too. Kept people on the floor dancing.

It was nice when I first walked in none of the waitress approached and Im pretty sure you know that it was my first time but anyway after 45 minutes a waitress walked on my side and I approached her first drink was watered down the second one was great I enjoyed the music

My very first visit here and it was epic a night to remember very wonderful experience minus a $10.00 entry fee plus a $5.00 reentry fee that sucked unless you dont mind paying to come back in after youve already paid once. Besides that Ill definitely recommend & return again. Oh & those drinks straight alcohol non watered down!!!!!

I recently moved to the area and had them on my to try list! Finally tried them and ordered Shrimp Poboy, Fish Poboy and Famous wings! The lettuce on both was old, brown and slimy! The tomatoes on both were soggy spoiled and I just wasn’t for dying of Salmonella last night so I didn’t eat either! The lady at the Bar was very nice but it’s a NO for me! Shut down the Grill and just keep the bar bc this is not worth dying for!

Atmosphere was nice, music selection was nice. Drink prices were a little high to me but probably because I dont usually go out. Overall I had a good time.

Nice vibe! Good music. Mature crowd (35+). DJ plays something for everyone, the steppers, hip-hoppers, r&b lovers, etc. Drinks were on point. Our table ordered ckn quesadillas, wings, fries with queso and pico. All seemed to enjoy their meal. We went on a Friday. I would go again.

We were meeting there as a group on a Friday night, so I checked online to see what to expect. No where online says there was a dresscode. They should post it online so customers know before hand. So my husband and I had to leave the group and head back home.

If you like a club full of women, then this is the place for you. Cover charge is 10 dollars, if you leave out the club to go to your car or step out to take a call it 10 dollars to reenter. It takes 1 hour to get your watered down drinks and if you ask about you drink order, the ghetto waitresses will go off on you. I saw a waitresses try to fight a customer over their money. This was my first and last time at this hole in the wall.

Gave it 3-stars due to having to pay a $5 re-entry fee after telling security that I was running to the car to grab my coat. It was chilly where I was sitting. Was gone for less than 1 minute. I was upset at their insensitivy and chose to pay the $5, no big deal; however, I also chose not to spend any money there because of that.I suggest you review your policy on re-entry.

I dont know where to begin...We reserved the party room and had food catered from them. The chicken wings were dried out, the rice and meatballs had no seasoning at all. My biggest problem THE DRINKS WERE WATERED DOWN...Everyone was complaining about their drinks and she would not refund our money,,,,No need to fix it again if all the alcohol is watered down.AND The owner was very RUDE when we brought it to her attention..Looking around the club no one was drinking alcohol only beer and bottled water..To sum it up or birthday experience was terrible...I will never go again and i would not recommend this place to my worse enemy...

Club is nice with great music and good drinks. Only issue I have is the $5 reentry fee. It makes the club seem desperate for money. Totally unnecessary.

The waitress were rude as hell. The drinks are watered down. I order a Titos straight with 2 limes. My drink tasted like lime water. My cousin ordered Hennessey straight and it tasted like carbonated water with a brown color to it.

Great! I went on a Sunday and they had a live band, dancing was non stop and also the drinks.

The worst experience ever!!!!! It was like someone pouring a bucket of water on you and telling you its your perspiration. I ordered Jack Daniels on the rocks the bartender provided me with something that was almost clear as vodka when I informed her that it wasnt Jack she pointed at the Jack Daniels bottle and said she poured it from that bottle smh I gave her the drink back and decided to order a shiner bock one of the waitresses seen I was unhappy and tried to make it right by asking her boss to replace the drink and his response was he will give me something else instead opening up a real bottle of Jack Daniels so one star for the waitress situations like this makes it hard to support your own people smmfh

I ordered the boudain and it came out cold with crackers that had been there since BEFORE COVID! No ticket accommodation from the club or even an apology. Drink was good tho.

This place is the worst club on the north side of Houston. The gray haired lady that runs the place treats customers like criminals. Halloween night she even rigged the costume contest by picking HER favorite...for a measly 50 dollars and cheap bottle of wine. I wont be going back!

Our waitress was great but the DJ was not. We usually have a great time and the music is consistently good. Tonights DJ was a disappointment.

I practice swing dance at this location. They have 50 cent wings on Wednesdays. Staff is friendly. Nice place.

DJ is hit or miss. Sometime u go and plays great music other nights you go and he is not gauging the crowd to pick right songs and keep all on floor.

The entertainment was great. The food service was terrible, waited all night for some chicken wings that I paid for in advance after reminding the waitress several times and when I finally got them when I was preparing to leave, they didnt taste good.

DJ Blue on the 1 & 2 Yo...go and get New Orleans finest DJ...it was a short visit but it was calm and clean atmosphere..no kids ..just the right age group of what seemed to be 30 and up..I will come back when I get the time

Love this place BUT the DJ could be better. We went for a party on a Friday night and everytime he played a song that would get us on the floor,he would turn around and back that up with a song that would ensure we left it.

An absolutely fabulous meeting place for social interactions! Great atmosphere with a wide variety of events happening on a consistent basis! I would highly recommend!

Dont tip these people!They dont ever tip when I drop food off to them!THEY ARE GARBAGE!
