Works Club & Grill

Very fun if you come with a group and you are going to see an artist you like. I would never recommend that anybody visits here unless that is the case.Staff is usually rude and they jack the prices up at night to make more income. They do not allow re entry therefore if you end up going outside they will make you pay again.The bar gets so packed you can probably purchase one drink every 45 minutes if you are assertive enough. Drink prices are slightly overpriced.Bouncers/Security are looking for trouble and will be physical with anybody that gives them the slightest chance.Crowd is usually alright but some regulars seem to be up to no good. I would recommend always keeping an eye on your friends, and your drinks....Essentially it seems like the staff literally hates working there considering it is an after hours venue. Maybe they want to go home and get away from people that are enjoying themselves since they are not?....2 stars.

Amazing venue. Tight close quarters packed with individuals there for one sole purpose: uniting the mind and the body with the throb of insane beats, guaranteed to take you into the realm of the surreal long after most other places close. I would not recommend this club if you are new to the rave scene.

Ive been going to The Works for about two years now and it is always a lot of fun meeting friends there. Its generally open pretty late, and youll meet a wide variety of people on the weekends. I have to say it honestly isnt a very clean place, but try not to be intimidated by its appearance.

My home away from home! Its a great place to go on the weekends and it has extremely cheap events. The staff are great people and the ravers are a kind breed. You get to see local talent make music right in the heart of Detroit. Big named headliners also stop in very frequently to throw down some beats :)

Ive enjoyed countless nights at this establishment. Very diverse music styles depending on the night, be sure to check the Facebook event page. Food is surprisingly good too. Great spot to go dance with a group of friends!!

Main stage Volume was way too low. Staff is rude . I get the owners are atheist , but is it necessary to have a Bible meant for rolling joints ... Just bad over all professionalism and customer care. I also understand this is an underground venue, but it can use some cleaning.

This spot is truly a gem in Detroit, Michigan. You can come at 11pm or at as late as 2/3am on Fridays/Saturdays and dance your ass off without care. Try to find an event being hosted if you want it packed. I find it that this club is more about dancing and the music is good. There are two huge rooms with DJs, so you have some choice. There is an outside patio that plays music some nights. The crowd seems to be club / rave / music scene.

The best place to go if you want to dance to electronic music without judgement. Not an upscale venue but very far from a hole in the wall. they have adequate parking that is watched over by security. 3 areas, 2 djs (3+ djs during events) and the staff treat you very nice unless you give them a reason not to.

Worst place Ive ever been too. Run down, everyone there is disrespectful. Not PLUR whatsoever. Staff is a bunch of ass holes who hate their jobs. Theyll pack the place to the gills. Ventilation system is too small for the events they have. I will never come back. No matter whos playing there.

Cool chill place to relax in the late night and listen to some awesome music. Unfortunately, they closed down due to new building owners not renewing their lease. They need funding to start up at a new location.

My boyfriend took me for new years. Great people. And shout out to the girl who found my phone and turned it in for me. Thank you. Glad to know thier are still decent people out their. Def would go back.

Maybe Im to old for this but the drinker where reasonable priced and the music was ok. I could do without the 3 people asking me for molly.. didnt know molly was still a thing... try to go on a night that an event is going on otherwise youll just be standing around with 2 other people

Besides the mean ass man that checked ids and the disrespectful bartender which I almost cursed out ( I wonder if it was because Im black) I had a great time. After I partied I forgot all about them. THe people were really nice and I loved they djs.

Attended electronic show. Filthy. Slow bartenders. Disgusting bathrooms. Not enough bartenders. Sound system at main stage is awful. Side stage is tolerable. Grimy even by underground Brooklyn standards.

Went here once. Found out it was a gay bar. Not that there is anything wrong with that.. just didnt know. Good electronic vibe. They seem to have occassional parties out side, but dont know their schedule. It seems hit and miss.

This place is pretty wack for an after hours. Most the staff are pissed at the world because its 2am and theyre still working. Cash only cover charge, young kids, dubstep, meh.

Very fun place to go for live music. The DJs they get always assure a good time.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly security, free parking, good beverage selection (until 2am), fair admission (payed 10$ before midnight)

Ive only gone at night for shows, and the music is always great and the atmosphere is inviting.

Place is so cramped and half the restrooms are broken. People almost fighting outside getting in. Back is an ashtray. Not a good club experience. Go to Masonic Temple.

The best place to park your car in Detroit. Keep an eye out for headliners who play here.

Came here on Friday at around 1 a.m. and nobody was in the parking lot it was closed from what I can tell I just cruise through there and left a big waste of time
