It was my first time at a club so I was very nervous but I had the best experience, my fiancé and I missed our high school prom so we went to Goth Prom 2024. We had so much fun 🥹The people and the bartenders were very nice. Definitely coming back for more goth related events 🖤🦇

Security has improved, but they still demonstrated irresponsibility by asking us if their response to a violent individual should be a warning or removal. It should be a standard rule to remove them - violence cannot be tolerated. I will say, the bouncer himself was epic since he listened to all parties involved - and acted fast when alerted. Yet, I still cant fathom any consideration to let a person who committed assault and battery stay - and give them the opportunity for hurting more people. Thanks to my self defense & de-escalation training and the amazing bystanders, I came out ok and the threat to our safety was resolved. They really need to start scanning and documenting IDs, so if someone gets a warning or kicked out, they cant easily come back a couple weeks later and cause trouble again (I saw the same wacko again who came into the bathroom after me, but they luckily kept distance... Really not cool though to be allowed back so soon.).Original review from 2022: If someone wanders through the dance floor aimlessly & repeatedly, pay attention! If one gropes you (e.g., accidentally hits your butt), tell a bouncer... One complaint merely gets them a warning, but two SEPARATE complaints gets them kicked out.Before I went to the bouncer to report the problem, another girl and her friends complained that the bouncers dont do anything about it. So I went for help alone and on behalf of the other women...After the complaint I gave, which the creep saw since I was pointing at them, he and his fellow creep smugly approached us at the bar 15 minutes later... So I had to find the bouncer Again and he explained why he wasnt kicked out yet. I had to bring the bouncer to my friend who was being bothered yet again and since she was complaint #2 he was finally kicked out, but at this point my night was ruined so I left shortly after.It is unacceptable that women feel the need to approach other women for protection to create blocks, intentional space, and a collective watch-out for the creeps - and feel like thats all they can get. It is literally the bouncers job to protect patrons and we should feel safe coming here (especially when were going out of our way to report real problems developing). Next time, I will probably call the police if the bouncer cant keep track of an actual sexual assaulter and they bother me or my friends a 2nd time... Someone needs to hold these people accountable so this stops.Other than this... and the reasons I come back in spite of this problem occurring more than once... is that the general atmosphere is full of music lovers, entertaining dancing when DJs play fun music, and a sense of community and opportunity to make friends. The themed nights are fun and hearing the whole place sing to my favorite Queen song on one night was one of the best moments Ive had there. Crowd is generally young, but some older people seem welcomed in too. The decor is interesting as hell and artwork changes over time.

This place is awesome. Such a welcoming and inclusive environment. LBGTQ 420-friendly. Retro Friday night with Don black is so much fun. The bartenders especially Alex are amazing and remember the customers. Dance vs battle Saturday night is so high energy. And Im so happy they have live music again.

I went here for the first time with a buddy of mine on New Years Eve 2022. It was so much fun. I am in a wheelchair, so the staff was very friendly and accommodating to not only myself, but everyone in attendance. The eclectic crowd is also quite nice and fun to be around, creating a great vibe to let loose on a weekend. The bar is long and relatively spacious. Delicious drinks and food. Just take careful because some can be strong. ;-) The dance floor itself could be slightly bigger and less of a feeling of being an enclosed, but thats a nicpick.

My last stop for my birthday and should’ve been my first and only. Had such a blast. A great group of people and when the bartender heard it was my birthday, he pulled out a little wrapped cake, stuck a candle in it, and sang happy birthday lol. It was such a great time. Will definitely be back!

I love this place!! They always seem to have some cool music nights going on, the last one I went to was ABBA vs. Queen and that was truly a blast. The dance floor is big and the atmosphere is awesome. There’s also a pool table and sizable bathrooms, as well as a big back patio area. Everyone in there was nice as well:)

A good place to spend the night hours among various shows, genres of music and unique people.

Went to the Depeche Mode vs New Order vs Duran Duran Night. Great atmosphere, DJ was awesome and the bar tenders were amazing. Totally worth the trip up from Illinois. 10 put of 5 stars.

This is the best place to dance the night away! Like the 60-80s created a love child and this is what happened. The music was a culmination of todays Funk/Fusion with a Motown twist and Spanish tempo. Drinks are a little pricey but you get well enough liquored up with every drink! Must go again!

Mad Planet is a great place to go for both dancing and lounging without a ton of pretense. Fridays in particular feature a fun 80s-themed dance selection. Weekends can be a crowded, so come early. The crowd is pretty diverse and welcoming. Drinks are reasonably priced too, and theres an outdoor area.Pretty much an ideal place to have some drinks and dance the night away without worrying about impressing anybody.

Fun place. Very eclectic crowd. Friendly dance floor. Fridays 80s night...definitely a good time! Drinks are stiffer than you think and HUGE!! Reasonable cover charge. Only down side are pan handlers waiting for you to leave. No pretentiousness, fun joint! Has outside veranda as well. Great time!! A+++

This dive was recommended to me by someone who hadnt been there in years since I asked for a place with dancing. When we got there the bouncer charged us double the cover listed on the board. The bartender seemed halfway decent, but the drinks she poured were weak. I ordered a double mixed drink and didnt even get a buzz. The DJ changed the music every thirty seconds, so even if I had wanted to dance I wouldnt have been able to. The place was full of twenty something weirdos with ratty beards and man buns. When I say full I mean there were like maybe two dozen people there. Then there were the obviously high potheads doused in patchouli playing with hula hoops by the walls. It resembled a middle school dance the way they stood in little groups staring at the lights not talking to each other. To make matters worse when I went to the bathroom to check my eyeliner for all of thirty seconds one of the employees bashed the door open to see what I was doing almost hitting me in the face on my way out. As soon as I left she followed me out. This combined with two large security guards in such a small place only leads me to believe that they have a huge amount of drug dealers/users frequenting this business. All of the great reciews I read were obviously written by employees or friends, because this is one of the sketchiest places Ive ever been. Considering Ive traveled all over the country thats saying something.

Since COVID started I haven’t been there because they are closed.However, this place was my go to on the weekends for me and hubby. My kinda crowd and my kinda music mostly.Could work on bettering their drinks and music sometimes but overall I very much loved this place.The Halloween parties here were epic too!

This is my first time actually rating a place only because I was so upset about the treatment I had received from this place. I was requested to pay a cover fee(in all of my life I had never been requested for a cover fee besides prime time events and downtown occasions). The price of drinks was okay(even though I had to pay a cover charge just to get in). Shortly there after I was introduced to a cold numerous profound amount of names that I had never heard pierced out of another humans mouth before. This had distinguished all of my faith in mad planet, and led me to leave because I felt VERY unsafe

Favorite place in Milwaukee. Huge variety of theme nights, very welcoming to all age ranges (21+)/LGBT/etc. Awesome vibe, reasonably priced, and insanely fun.

We went here for my Bachelorette party. The DJ was incredibly rude. My girls just wanted to request a song and even came up with choices that fit the theme, but were met with insults and being called Karen. The bartenders and bouncers were great but because of the DJ I wouldnt go here again.

Great staff except the 80s DJ he doesnt care what you want to hear, whats on his request sheet or how much you tip him, he will tell you people dont want to hear it and take your money. Get a better a DJ that care what people want to here or just make a play list... essentially that is all he will do.

Seriously, the place could be great, but every Friday and Saturday has truly the worst DJs imaginable - they dont play requests, and what they do play everyone is almost zombie-like attempting to enjoy on the dance floor. If they get fired the place could really come up again.

Went to 90s dance party. Had a blast!! Pay cash at the bar or wind up dealing with trying to close out a tab with 400 arms reaching at bartenders. Weird neighborhood.

This place has good drinks and good prices. The staff is cool and the music will take you back. 2 times I have been there now and one of them times I didn’t leave the dance floor!!

Best dancing place in Milwaukee. No judgment, great music, and LGBT friendly. I hope they one day play Latin music, though.

THE.BEST.DANCE.CLUB.IN.MILWAUKEEI just love this place. Mad Planet is one of the only clubs in Milwaukee where youll always find a crowd dancing. DJ Alter is the best.

Visited here on New Years. Paid a $15 cover to enter. What were they charging a cover for?? It was marginally filled and they didnt seem to be doing anything noteworthy for the occasion.

Barely any alcohol in their drinks. Sneak in your own stuff or drink up beforehand unless you like to be disappointed.

Why would you go somewhere else? It is pure dancing fun, especially for the retro night on Fridays (focus is on new wave 80s dance music).

The owner is very unwelcoming and was arguing with guests. She seemed very unprofessional which is a shame because the bar is great
