Decided to stop in here with friends on a Friday night, looking to have a late dinner. Service was a bit slow, but the food was absolutely delicious. The bread loaf they brought to the table to start us out was hot, buttery and fresh out of the oven good! The Lobster Bisque had a lot of flavor, with big chunks of lobster. A bowl serving was quite filling. The 6 ounce steak (ordered medium rare) was cooked perfectly, with the side mushrooms, potatoes, deep fried shrimp, and onion rings being great compliments. Our friends had the cod fish fry, which they always rave about. The cod was a generous portion and very flaky, with the side coleslaw being one of the best weve had. Admittedly this place is not usually on my radar for dining, but I would be willing to go back and try more offerings.

I have been coming here for years. To eat or just to have a drink and dance. They have a dance floor with tables off to the side. My server Sue is always nice and Aven is learning the ropes just fine and he will be running the show before we know it. There are usually drink specials just ask the bartender. Ladies night is Thursday and usually have free drinks until midnight. The pizza is ok they usually have it late night. The dinner is only served (Fish) Friday and Saturday nights (open menu) i usually get the same thing poppers and naked hot wings chicken wings., some of the best wings in the city if you like them cooked crispy not fatty. The bread is delicious made fresh and comes warm with melted honey butter on top. Such a welcoming family ran business. Jim goes above and beyond to make sure that we are satisfied.

Victors food is one of our top favourites in Milwaukee. The seafood bisque is packed full of seafood and the creamy soup is absolutely amazing. The fish fries are HUGE! So are the desserts. The chocolate mousse is an absolute favourite and the carrot cake is biggest and best I have ever had. Even all the apps are amazing. My husband had tried the burger and it is very large and tasty as well!

Its always a vibe at victors . The owner is a awesome guy , always Welcoming comes around checks on you make sure everythings okay . Everythings always under control . Victor is loved by many . Such a caring loving owner . ~ Clean environment. Always busy .

The ambiance in this establishment is incredible. Relaxing, friendly, and an overall chill, fun vibe. Havent tried the food yet, but I highly recommend. Check it out!

My familys been coming here for more than 25 years.This place smells and looks like it needs a deep clean.The floor behind the bar has food and garbage on it from days or weeks ago and is black with thick layer of filth probably never been cleaned.Just done with this place!Ive tried to give them chances and it never works out. Service is slow and communication is poor. Kitchen looks filthy inside more than usual. Thought they would be busier but I can see why they arent.Sad to see this place this way!Wont be coming back!!

I had the pleasure of celebrating New Year’s Eve, 2023 at victors and I had the absolute best time. Victor even stopped by and dropped off party favors at our table and was the nicest guy I’ve ever met. He was so fun and so kind the environment there was so much fun, I can’t wait to go back

Ive been visiting this establishment for years on many different occasions without anycomplaints. I always enjoy the atmosphere n music.

I wish they had rotating DJs since their current one plays the same songs every night (no exaggeration). He kills the vibe often, so the dance floor clears out and he doesn’t do anything to read the crowd.This place has so much opportunity with its sheer size, large dance floor, 2 bars, and patio… but I barely come here because it’s so predictable.There are also some strange men who stand like statues alone at the dance floor edge and quietly stare and grin at people. It’s the weirdest thing yet it happens every night. Some have even become so bold as to invasively/creepily record women they don’t know who are dancing on the mostly empty dance floor. And Victor doesn’t seem to mind, which doesn’t foster feelings of safety.Overall the people are nice, but these issues make it hard to enjoy ourselves as much as we do elsewhere.

Having a nice spontaneous night here at Victors on VanBuren. Thursday night purchase a beverage of your choice and help yourself to a FREE short line buffet! Bbq chik was awesome!!! Generous pours, friendly staff that care. Nice old-school supper club vibe, no pretentiousness here!! Fun wkend lineup of groovin it up 😎

Reminds me of the dance clubs 20 years ago, which us a good thing. Very nice bar set up. Victor, the owner, is a really good guy. He actually interacts with his customers. A non-stuffy club with an upscale look and a good clientele. This place is top notch. Ive spent most of my life in the LA area so my standards for clubs and bars are pretty high and this is only one of 2 clubs/bars in Milwaukee that I truly like

Great place to hang out for good music, food, and dancing. The owner was friendly and gracious for our party. The drink towerr looks cool, but not the greatest. We really had a great time there.

Best Fish Fry, Scrumptious Homemade Italian bread, delicious desserts especialy the Carrot Cake and Wonderful coctails with great Customer Service! 👏 👍

Loved it here. The atmosphere was great and all the staffs were very nice and welcoming. The owner victor is the best he talks to everyone and not a lot of club owner come out to meet people. Music is great so was the pizza and drinks. This was the best and coming here again.

If you aint atleast 37+ go elsewhere i mean i get it its catered to more of an older crowd but jeeze i ask to the dj for a song if its not atleast 10 years old he dont got it lol bartenders are slow dont seem to know fast service gets you tips not laughing it up with the same two patrons for 15 mins

We went there last Friday for fish fry.Our server was not in a good mood, which is understandable.The creamy seafood soup was a disaster, junk of frozen imitated crab leg and scallops in our salty soup was very bad.We didnt have silverware for about 20mins and we had some sort of food discomfort after we got home.Dont know what is going on with this place but it was bad bad !!!Wont go there and dont recommend this place to anyone.

The food and atmosphere are good they pour a decent drink for the $...however the dj is wack you know it when u know the song line up because it hasnt changed and im not a regular customer!..he playing the same music from over 5ys ago with a couple new songs added! He still playing snoop and biggie old songs in 2023!!! I guess to appease the African american customers there is more music in that culture besides those 2 rappers. They really need to change up the music because the dj playing good music is what keeps the crowd coming back

Chauvinistic Bouncers… I asked my nephew a question and the bouncer told me to be quiet men are talking. Then he said since you Interrupted men talking he can’t come in. I asked what was the issue he stated that women shouldn’t talk when men are talking. My position is- loved ones are going to ask a question to make sure everything is ok. I have been coming here for years and have never been treated like this. I usually like to come on Thursdays because I’m a combat veteran, I get in free and it’s ladies night. Tonight we were celebrating a birthday and I was disrespected because apparently men are superior to women in this establishment . I spoke with the owner and he stated that it sounds like non sense and he don’t have time.

I like Victors for their big space, patio, dance floor, good drinks , serves pizza. The only thing they need to work on is the DJs / choice of music. I feel like every time I go there I hear the cha cha slide and wobble they play a lot of music you hear at family gatherings, school dances etc. I also recommend not keeping a tab open.

Went to Victors to meet a friend who wanted the fish fry. I got there before she did, got a table by the window and waited for her and a server. 10 minutes passed and no one had come over to my table. I started to look around. It wasn’t busy, though there were dirty tables everywhere. A couple servers checked on a table that was 1 table away from me but avoided even looking my way…I have on a bright mustard yellow sweater, you can’t miss me. The bartenders didn’t acknowledge me either. 15 minutes passed, 2 other groups of people came in of a different ethnicity than me and were serviced immediately. At that point I got up and left. I definitely won’t go there again…

Amazing food, I would never have guessed. Been going here for years because it’s the best dance club around!! Great atmosphere, great people, great prices. It’s one big family there, that’s hard to find. The food is homemade and it’s so good!! Especially the cheesecake. Can’t wait to go back! It’s one of a kind!

Have to give Victor’s 5*. Haven’t been here since the 80”s after the Bucks games. Different vibe for sure. We thought to check it out for dinner tonight. Holy Sh#t! The food and portions were huge and amazing. Out bill was $63. And we had two bags to bring home. I would definitely recommend Victors as a great place for dinner. Staff were super as well.

Made a reservation and still had to wait 15 mins to be sat, but it was incredibly busy. The restaurant is really neat and disco like. Mirrored walls and lights on the dance floor. Ordered a coke and it came in a can and the bread is very delicious! Overall a good fish fry if you are not in a hurry.

Had fish fry tonight & had significant issues: 1. It took over 15 minutes for a server to check on us after being seated (we had to get our own menus); 2. After ordering we were never checked in on. 3. One fish fry came 25 minutes after everyone else’s 4. The dinners did not include all items listed, even after bringing it to the attention of server nothing was rectified. 5. After bringing the attention to management the response was dismal and stated they knew about it. Best part the 18% gratuity still was collected!

Always a good time. A Different experience every time. Its like a wedding reception everyday of the week, with all the clientele of a typical Wedding reception. the food is great as well, Mixed drinks, meh. But no one gos there for the Fancy drinks. unless you get VIP bottle service, then its worth it!

I was Going to meet some friends here for brunch last Friday, but learn they open at 3pm. So We all met at 3pm and lady behind the stated We not open the Door should have been lock;. We stated we were here for fish fry and that there website stated there open at 3pm and she stated that happen all the time that fish fry at 5pm we suggested maybe they should correct opening time on there website she said theres nothing she could about it. We left and she locked the door.If it was me I would did more to accommodate us, you never let a customer leave unsatisfied.

We didnt know it was a holiday and that the place was about to be packed with Malaysians /Asians! It was the best experience! Always a classy place to chill out. Thank you, Victors! Your wings and gin burn a perfect little hole right to my heart! My favorite is the guy who knows a twist means a lime!

Went on New Years Eve. It was PACKED but service was still pretty prompt and music was fun to dance to. Overall, a great time if youre looking for an upbeat party environment.

Service was horrible, server was rude when we complained and the food was mediocre at best. It took 30 minutes to get our salads, and another 45 minutes to get the first entree, 55 minutes to get the last entree. We were one of three tables, so it was not busy. One person in our party sent their baked tilapia back because it didnt taste right and another was served rare prime rib that was tough and refrigerator cold. Plenty of other restaurants in the area. Never going back.

My wife and I go to Victors every Thursday for the buffet from 5:30 to 8:30 for the price of a drink Its really good and attracts an easy crowd. Tony has the best playlist of music but not so loud you cant have a decent conversation. The drinks are great and the place on the whole is very enjoyable to meet with your friends for a few hours. Definitely recommend you try it.

Good spot to go and nice mixed of crowd as far as age and demographics. The drinks are really cheap on Thursday. Only bad thing is they got rid of free pizza on Thursday nights and I notice if it’s not crowded my drinks are stronger, maybe cause they can key in on me. If it’s crowded they hand me my drink real quick and it’s a lil watered down

Maxwell is the best mf bartender, he has the best drink mixes & he’s so friendly . Victors wouldn’t be the same without that man!!

Been forever since Ive been here. Glad to see thats almost nothing has changed and its still that fun mixed crowd. Maxwell was our bartender and he was awesome

Went there for new years for two years now. This year they raised the entry price from $5 to $15...and all the drinks were raised by an extra $2. There was no champagne toast anymore and the place was messy and not put together to handle a large crowd of people and it was impossible to get any one to serve drinks. Definitely not worth the money and I will definitely not be back anytime soon.

After going there for fifteen years off and on well be finding another place to go for my birthday this year. The last four times I was there the music sucked. To be perfectly honest thats the only reason I started going there years ago because, I dont really drink all that much since I dont go out a whole lot. Now it has signs saying no drinks on the dance floor. No problem with that. Ive stepped on plenty of glass before. The problem is that the dance floor is EMPTY. I dont go out to drink so much as I go to dance. I always preferred Victors to other places even with its reputation as a meat market because the dancing was great and the crowd wasnt stuck up. Since the tide has turned to bad music, empty dance floors and a crowd I dont like Ill be moving to something different. Its pretty bad when you can tell everyone isnt into the music.

Horrible Experience and Service! My wife and I sat at a table, waiting patiently for someone to greet and serve us. After about 15 minutes I asked if someone could serve us, mind you we are close to the bar so everyone could see us as they walked by. What we got was oh your dining in, hands us menus and walks away. No, sorry for the wait or confusion can I get you anything while you look over the menu. At this point we’re just annoyed and left. No point on giving you my business as you’ve made it clear that you don’t want it. On to the next establishment.

This place is so fun and bizarre. Such a good vibe on a Thursday, not overly packed but plenty of dancing and girls drink free. Also, they bring out free pizzas. I think the guy who does it is actually victor and he’s so nice! Anyways, this post is mostly for the pizza guy.

Office get together and dinner was ruined by rude host and slow service. Half of our party had to leave without eating. We were the 1st group seated and 5th group that the waitress came to. That was only after I went over to the host and asked what we needed to do to get service. Only plus was the bread which was very good. We asked for separate checks and were told she couldnt because they did thing by hand. That makes no sense. I had placed a to go order so I received a separate check. I gave the waitress my card and asked if she could hurry because I needed to leave. I watched her write up other checks for 15 minutes before I had to walk over and say I need to leave. My take out was cold after waiting, I was late because she took so long and I have no plans to ever go back.

Great place for dining before you go out - but if youre already there for an outstanding dinner stay for the nightlife which picks up around 10pm. Also, great for drinks after work, or dancing later in the evening. They have special events most weeks which are not well advertised. Youd have to check out their social media for those

Came in to grab some drinks at bar with some friends and an older guy next to me started telling my friends and I the empty seats we are sitting on are taken. We moved 4-5 seats down and the guy continued telling us they were also taken. I got fed up and sat right next to him and asked him why those seats were taken when clearly no one was sitting there. No jackets or purses were anywhere near them. He continued yelling at me but I ignored him and was going to order my drink when he grabbed my head and head locked me. I finally got out of his hold while all my friends came rushing by me. The bouncer pulled me aside and I demanded to talk to the owner. The owner came by and we asked the owner why they didnt kick the guy out when he attacked me first. Owner said those seats were taken even though they were not there at that time. Never knew you can claim seats or heard of such a rule at any bars I went to. The owner said hell buy all of us beer and call it good but I refused. I wanted an apology from the guy who attacked me but the owner simply said, I cannot help you there. He said if we dont calm down hes going to kick us out????? He even acknowledge seeing me get attacked and yet didnt do anything besides bribing us with beer. Very unprofessional. Owner was either racist, knew the guy who attacked me or just being an ass that night. Never going there again.

Great place always has a great dj and a good selection of music. Usually isnt crowded and there are plenty of people who are there to actually dance and have a good time. Not like Trinity where its always packed and all anyone does is stand around. Usually theres a place to sit with your friends when you are tired of dancing. Gotta commend the DJ really like how he plays off the crowd and will let a song loop for awhile if alot of people seem to be enjoying it. Guy also usually has a decent spread of good music to dance to in a night youll dance to funk, to early 2000s bangers, to some modern music. Its very rare the song changes and it isnt something you dont want to dance to.

They put out a small buffet. On Cinco Demio. The corn totillia were not steamed the older seniors could not chew..Other wise food is good. Great place for Cocktails.

In my early 20s I walked in and felt out of place as being to young to hang out here. Now in my fifty’s, I cannot see why I would have ever thought about hanging here. The drinks were not even as good as poorly mixed, the decor is dated the music confused and the small Friday night crowd all seemed to wish they were somewhere else. And a $5 cover? IMHO there are many better spots to visit in Milwaukee

We went to Victors for something to eat and a few drinks. The bill for the food arrived and was $29.15 Pre-Tip Amt and seemed a bit high. There were no prices listed on the receipt. A quick check of math showed they included an 18% tip into the Pre-Tip Amt. I asked the waitress, she denied the tip was included, and wanted my copy of the receipt, then explained the policy was adding 18% on all bills to the Pre-Tip Amt. She tried to take my copy of the receipt from me. I spoke to the manager, who quickly refunded all of my money, then came back and re-charged me for dinner. It was very shady, and I will not return to eat here again. BTW- The bar and the food are completely separate in Victors, with separate managers.

I go here to have fun but tonight made it the worst night ever. I paid for shots that I know I paid for then all of a sudden another bartender said I didn’t pay for it and proceeded to argue with me. The chick who took my money then replied, “I don’t remember taking her payment.” Piss me off because I paid for the drinks twice. I felt like they took advantage because they probably thought I was drunk.

I went here and was treated in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. When we received our drinks, they were very weak. We asked the bartender (who we later discovered was the manager) for an a little more votka. He said that what we got was standard and that we wold have to pay $3.50 extra dollars for more votka. When questioned, the manager became angry and very vocal about it. I then became angry and let him know about it. He then rudely said, you have a nice mouth. Will NEVER pay a dime again at this incredibly unprofessional establishment!

Called to arrange for a party package for my bachelorette party. Spoke with Victor who had no idea what the party packages consisted of so I had read the website to him.Arrived, and none of the staff were aware that there was a party for that night. The bouncers gave my friends a hard time about entering without paying the cover charge as they were not aware of the party either.Met Victor who, again, didnt have a clue as to what was included in the bachelorette package. I had to pull up their website and show him what we were supposed to get.Pay the bill, and a bit later their staff insults me. I take Victor aside to let him know, and while Im speaking to him he just turns around and walks away.Very fun atmosphere, but their staff and Victor were clueless, very rude, and unprofessional.

Of you want the novelty of feeling like you are in the dance club scene from scarface, go here! This place has a definite retro 80s feel to it, which is one of things that make it fun. It was dead the last time we were there, but I think we were just early. Check it out for a laugh!

Awesome. Little night spot music more on the Mexican side then the Multicultural people that be in there but other than that its okay service awesome drinks what awesome as well so was the bartenders polite and fast service

I have not been out in a long time and it is as good as I remember. My husband and I used to go the twice every 2 monthes when he was alive. He passed away 1 1/2 yrs ago. Good times!!!

This place has the best music and the best food for really affordable prices on Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30pm. It’s super cool location and great place !!Edit: After the pandemic they stopped this offer and in sad about it :(

I didnt care for Victors I usually come here for Ladies Night on Thursdays and Fish Fry Friday I dont like the way the waitress treats me when I come in, it never fails, different waiter, same treatment, im an african american this is a very diversely atmosphere when it comes to the night life but daylife is terrible i didnt even get to order my full order because the waitress didnt serve me until the last 5 mins 🙄

Cougar alert!!! Always seems to be the hot spot for cougars on the prowl! Great place if youre a young guy looking for an older woman or for women like me (mid thirties) looking to avoid the obnoxious college crowd.

Victors has stood the test of time. The owners are very friendly, they regularly run specials and put out good food for their patrons during sporting events, etc. And the people watching gets better as the night goes on.

Great food! Homemade soups & desserts. Staff is terrific. They know how to run a business that changes clientele by the day & hour making everyones experience super.

Great place to hang out and check the dancefloor lights and the ladies regardless of their age Victor is always here to make sure that you have s good time music is fairly easy to get on the dance floor my friend Chris is a really good dancer he really can tear up the dancefloor

I always have, always will enjoy going to Victors!! It still has that party, fun, DiScO vibe atmosphere. Im glad they are still here as many downtown clubs from back in the day, are no longer around. Just to name a few: Club Marilyn, Bogies, The Barron, Tom Shepherds, Park Avenue, Pappagaio, Sonnys on Broadway, Olivers, Rapport, Hungry Lions, Interns East, Aliotos East. May the force be with you Victors!!

They Asked Me And My Friends Who Are All Black To Take Off Are Team Hats Before We Walked In But Then I See Two White People Walking Around The Bar With Bucks Hat Just Like Mine When me and my friends left I confronted the security guard and told him how I felt about that situation and I was gonna write bad review on them for being racist and that I would never step foot in that place again. Victors Is Racist For Profiling Black Customers And Not Doing The Same With White Customers

The atmosphere, music, staff and all around mix of crowd was such a delight! Even with the city rioting outside, we felt safe and had a great time!!! Highly suggested!

This place denied an LGBT+ member access to a bathroom and then the owner pushed my friend in the chest for complaining. LGBT+ and allies stay away.

The Baked Cod is amazing, will be coming back to try other things on the menu.
