My first spa experience was absolutely amazing! I want to make a big shout out to Kimberly who is the queen of massages! I was super nervous for my first massage, and she made me so comfortable and relaxed. She took extra good care of my to ensure I had the best experience as possible. This woman is amazing and extremely kind!

Almayra is amazing! She did my hydrafacial . This is my first time at rivage and I am very impressed. Everything was very clean. The process was quick. I enjoyed the robe, the slippers and the champagne. I am going on vacation and so thankful I came before because my skin needed a quick fixed and Almayra saved the day and recommended me with products that will get me back to glowy skin. I also love that she gave me a sheet with step to step on what to do and what products to use after. The products I purchased are very fairly priced . I have already booked my next facial with her . My only complaint is that it’s very hard to make an appointment here. They are so busy. You really have to plan months before to get service, at your desired time.

This was my first experience with Rivage and it was very enjoyable. Thank you Don and Staci for the wonderful massage and pedicure. The ambiance was so comfortable and relaxing. Definitely worth the experience. Thank you Rivage!!

Rivage always is a great experience. The staff is attentive and friendly. The massage team is one of the best! My recent experience led me to explain several areas that needed attention and the massage therapist was excellent at making sure those areas were addressed. My next visit cannot be soon enough!

This spa is amazing. I’ve been to several spas over the years. I receive massages at another facility every week. Kim’s massage was extremely relaxing and like no massage I’ve ever received in my life. The service at Rivage is phenomenal. Three of my family members and I enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing day. Molly’s facial has me feeling very youthful. We have decided to make this a regular outing at Rivage Day Spa Birmingham!

I love coming to you all and have been coming since before covid for your massages as well as for pedicures, the cashmere pedicure more specifically. So I was somewhat disappointed when on my most recent visit, which was a few days ago, the cashmere pedicure process changed. The part that was taken away was one of the main reasons I get this particular pedicure. Though Stacey was very pleasant and did a good job that process change took away from the experience I was use to.

I had a gift card and treated myself to a hot stone massage. It was AMAZING. It was my first spa experience and massage ever and Kimberly was great. She explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with the temperature of the stones and the pressure. The robe/slippers and complimentary mimosas were also a nice touch. I will definitely be back for another massage with Kimberly and to try the other spa services.

Unbelievable, especially for Birmingham and a supposedly highly ranked spa. My husband is recovering from open heart surgery so I am in no hurry to get an appointment. All I asked for was an afternoon couples spa day with him. Willing to spend whatever it would cost. And they cannot accommodate that! Their policy is only 60 minutes in the couples room. They would not let me book back to back appointments either. Only if we had separate rooms. That defeats the entire purpose and he will not go if I am not in the room with him. I spoke with the Manager, Lisa, and she could not accommodate us either. So, if you are looking for a couples spa day, I would suggest Margots. They are wonderfully accommodating. (Oh, and to top it off, they are not even sure they can refund the $500 gift card I pre-purchased for this event or if they do, there might be a penalty. Really?)

Fabulous massage with Randi, one of the best Ive ever had! She really took care of the areas where I had issues, and used the perfect amount of pressure. Loved it so much, I made another appointment with her before I left.

I had the most wonderful experience with the staff from Rivage. Kimberly and Sherry (pardon my spelling if that is incorrect!) both showed me a lovely time— I am 5 months pregnant and this was my last birthday hoorah before the baby. From the reception desk to the service techs, every member of the staff was professional, friendly and fantastic. I felt pampered, attended to, and that there was intention and care from both my massage and facial. The pricing and expectations were exactly on par as advertised and there weren’t any misleading conversations or pushiness from the techs. 10/10 would recommend again and again!!

Such a wonderful (and relaxing!) experience from the moment I walked in. It felt very calming and after changing into my robe, I enjoyed tea and a little snack in the atrium before my massage. Colleen was amazing and I will definitely be back!

I’ve been to a spa or two in my day and let me tell you Rivage doesn’t disappoint! Beautiful and comfortable interior and atrium. Extremely friendly stay! Milan was polite, accommodating, and a pleasure to meet. You can tell management really knows what they are doing. I received a deep tissue massage (Kimberly) and a hydra facial (Almayra) and can’t recommend them more!!! Two absolutely amazing people! You want the best then look no further!! I am looking forward to my next appointment! Trust me and go here, you won’t regret it!!!

I took my friend here for her birthday— this was our first time and we had a lovely experience. I purchased the Tranquility for Two spa package (50 min massage, delicious lunch, and pedi) and we enjoyed every minute— we didn’t want to leave. We were greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk and given a tour of the facility. The facility has a lot of natural lighting, impeccably clean, beautiful, and serene. The massages were amazing— I recommend adding the hot stones during the massage! Adriana was great! Also, the staff were so kind to provide a birthday cupcake and gift. This spa day was just what we needed! I would definitely return here again!

Today I had a deep tissue massage from Kimberly and WOW! Best massage I’ve had in my entire life. She was incredible and knows exactly what she is doing. I will definitely be back and cannot recommend her enough! Amazing!!

I’ve been to many spas, and there’s no way this place deserves a five-star rating. Sure, it’s organized and the staff is friendly, but that’s where the positives end. When you arrive, they just shove you into a robe and dump you in a so-called “relaxing area” that’s anything but. No dim lights, cell phones buzzing everywhere, and staff constantly walking around. It felt more like sitting in a noisy lobby than a spa.And what’s with the blankets on the beds? They don’t even change them between clients! It’s disgusting to think about sharing a blanket that’s been touching other people’s feet. At checkout, they practically strong-arm you into leaving a tip. How dare they ask for gratitude when you’re already paying over $200 for a treatment? This isn’t a restaurant!To top it off, the skin products they use are loaded with parabens and fragrances—terrible for anyone with sensitive skin or a nose. But, like I said, the staff was nice. It’s just that Michigan’s spa scene is seriously lacking. I will never be coming back here. Oh, and be warned: this company pays freelancers to scrub negative reviews from the internet. Disgraceful!

My wife was gracious enough to share her bday gift with me!. She got a gift card here and we were blown away by everything. The staff were extremely friendly and just seem like overall good people. The vibe there is nice. They offer Nespresso and Champaign which was great. The massage was amazing of course and I just couldn’t stop thanking my wife for treating me to all of it. We will definitely be coming back here as soon as we can.

I was gifted a massage for my birthday from my husband. The spa atmosphere is very peaceful. The employees are super polite and very courteous . I even received a birthday cupcake from them. So very sweet and thoughtful. My massage therapist was Kimberly and let me tell you that she is AMAZING! You will not be disappointed! I made sure to tell my husband from this point on to only schedule me with Kimberly for any future massages!

Took my sister for a surprise spa day for her birthday, she absolutely loved it! We each got manis, pedis and a hour massage. All the services were spectacular. Najwa (not sure if I spelled it right sorry) was phenomenal and super friendly. Renee (again sorry if spelled wrong) gave the best relaxation massage! Will recommend coming here for any special celebration you or a loved one has!

Expensive and you get two courtesy drinks but no one to even ask for it. For what you pay you’re better off training someone in your house to treat you right. Not worth your hard earned money. Felt like we were an inconvenience after $600 day. Don’t waste your money here.

I recently took my girlfriend to Rivage for a couples massage on her birthday. It was such an awesome and relaxing experience from start to finish. Special shout-out to our massage therapists for the day, Don and Hope. They really are experts at what they do and we look forward to coming back again soon. The facilities are very modern and super clean.

The place is meticulously clean kept and although the services offered are at a premium you get your moneys worth. The spa is located above Vinotecca, an italian-american themed restaurant in Birmingham, MI. I called the staff explaining I had some pastries, and other finger foods to enjoy with my guests during our time at the spa. They were very helpful, assisting in off loading the goods from the vehicle and setting things up in a private room. The service was well received by all that came on this day and event. The place was extremely clean and the bathrooms, changing rooms were all designed to support guest needs. Nothing was rushed and the ambience in the air was relaxing to say the least. We all left feeling relaxed and loose compared to how stiff we were before the visit. Everyone also received small gift bags as a token of appreciation for the time we spent with Rivage. I am very picky about my selection of spas - this one definitely lives up to its standards and at times excels. You might want to book in advance as they fill up fairly quick.

Hands down one of the best facials I have ever had! Molly was absolutely amazing, gave me some recommendations for my routinue that have changed my skin in the short time since I visited her. I will absolutely be back to her soon!

This is my go to spot when I really want to decompress. The employees are always polite. The atmosphere is always peaceful. My massage therapist was Kimberly. A lovely WOC, who i request each time. And each time she delivers! I love it there. They do book up months in advance.

I had received a gift card and so was not sure what to expect. Outstanding service at the reception. Loved their relaxing lounge with free beverages, fruits and some baked goods. And the massage was simply the best I have ever had. My therapist was Jen. She used essential Oils , multiple hot towels and heating pads to relax certain tense areas. Had an excellent deep tissue massage. Would highly recommend.

The nail technician who did my mani and pedi by the name of staci was an absolute angel. Very kind I have nothing but good to say about her. The reason why I’m leaving a one star review is because of the way this salon is not transparent about their prices. I called and asked for a mani and pedi, the representative over the phone asked if I needed a gel removal I said yes I do and with me being a new client, they did not even disclose prices with me or if there was a fee for removals. Never did she mention that there was a hefty fee that comes along with that. With the way she asked it was like she offered, i think it’s very unfortunate and rude to not be up front with a price. I have never had a salon charge me $20 for EACH area to remove something as simple as gel! That’s absurd they charged me $20 for my hands and $20 for my feet just for the removal alone when you go to any other salon a full mani or pedi alone is $45. I ended up paying $40 just to remove some gel polish off my fingers on top of the cost of the service. In a way this spa scams customers by not being transparent about what exactly you will have to pay for. I don’t blame the nail tech, she was a very nice lady, I blame the person I spoke to over the phone who did not inform me what to expect. I have no problem paying for a service as long as I have knowledge of it instead of being hit with a hefty price at the end of my service. Los Angeles nail salons do not even charge as much as this place does. I got a basic mani and pedi with regular POLISH only, nothing special no gel no nothing and it brought my total to $145. I have never been charged so much for nails before in my life. Won’t be back to this place ever that was just completely and utterly shady behavior. Please do me a favor take a look at my nails and tell me if this is worth a $145 job. They’re basic white nail polish with a classic service, nothing special added on. Such a shame wish I would have stayed away instead of giving this place a chance.

Naheel, the owner is still the best aesthetician I have known (I have known many in the USA and Europe). She is a perfectionist and whatever procedure you have with her, it’s always the best result you can expect. She truly exceeds your highest expectations. Thank you Naheel

I was bought a massage. The service was great. I was taken straight back to the massage room due to me arriving late, otherwise I could have changed in the locker room and enjoyed some treats in their lounge area. They offer coffee, champagne, or mimosa for you to enjoy while relaxing in the lounge as well as some pastries. The hostess was very attentive an checked twice on me to see if I needed anything else. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier! Lisa, who took and made the appointment was very pleasant to speak with and was very knowledgeable. The remaining staff we came into contact with were also very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again for services.

Cant emphasize enough how amazing the experience is at Rivage Day Spa in Downtown Birmingham. From the moment you walk in the door, youre greeted with professionalism and smiles. The massages are out of this world. I had never gotten a facial before, and I was blown away with how much I actually enjoyed it. My wife cant get enough of the treatments they provide, and we both love going here together for a couples pampering afternoon or evening away from the kids. Highly recommend!!

My massage was good, but I arrived early and was left in their front lobby/ reception area for 45 minutes with no offerings of water, etc. I was never called back to get into robe/relax in the atrium prior to the massage. Which then caused me to be late for the massage as I wasn’t ready when the masseuse found me.

Kimberly was my massage therapist today. She provided me with an outstanding and exceptional massage. I got the 60 min deep tissue massage and it was top-notch. She is a true gem!! Her skills were even better than those I have received at luxurious spas (internationally) and that I think is a testimony to her skill and dedication to her craft. I feel brand new!! Not only was she a phenomenal therapist, her personality and positive vibe made the massage even more enjoyable! Thank you Kimberly! I will be back!

An amazing experience from start to finish! I visited the spa for the first time today and Rivage does not disappoint! The receptionist was friendly and had the most soothing voice. I immediately was put at ease and felt peaceful going into my appointment. Daisy was so friendly and welcoming. She walked me around and set me up for my services. She asked me if I needed anything several times throughout my visit. I felt very taken care of waiting for my massage therapist. I was greeted by Rita who was friendly, informative, and all about making me feel comfortable. Rita gave me one of the best massages. She was attentive and kind. I added an anti-stress leg therapy treatment to the session. It was so soothing and I felt like my legs were weightless. I had such a great experience and cant wait to return! Thank you Rivage Day Spa!!

Absolutely Fabulous Spa Day!I highly recommend!

Not impressed. I will continue going to my regular nail salon. I had the cashmere lux manicure which looked great for 3 days then started to chip away. On my second visit I had a prenatal massage, something I was looking forward to but once again left feeling disappointed. It was more of a rub down and very fast motion. I did not find it relaxing at all.

Mia was amazing! I walked in feeling terrible and walked out feeling like a million bucks! Will for sure be back again.

I had the most amazing massage at Rivage! Bailey greeted me and was so sweet and friendly and I had my massage with Viola. I highly recommend her! From the moment you’re given a plush robe and flip flops to change into it goes uphill. You relax before and after in a very serene lounge area with comfortable chairs and chase lounges with light snacks and water, coffee or tea. You are, also. offered a mimosa at the conclusion of your treatment. Daisy, an employee, was extremely friendly and helpful with the few questions I had. Viola’s massage was so relaxing and she only talked to you if/when you wanted to make conversation. She used hot towels, hot wraps and, again, from start to finish the massage was incredible!

Amazing experience all around! Everything from booking services to checking out was very pleasant. It’s a beautiful, modern cleanly updated spa with a great staff. Four of us came here as a bachelorette party/bridal party and we’re very glad we did we all enjoyed our services very much! I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I received the Renewal Ritual from Nick and it was absolutely amazing. Nick is a very skilled massage therapist who gave me one of the best massages Ive ever gotten! My massage today with Kimberly was the best I ever had. Shes really intuitive and has a great technique. Some people seem like they have a checklist of muscle groups to massage, but Kimberly uses a holistic approach that targets connecting muscle groups. She also incorporates heat, which iswonderful. I highly recommend her.

I have been coming here regularly for the past 4-5 months. There was a small issue at my last massage (nothing too serious) that management addressed in a timely and polite manner.Furthermore, the manager recommended Kimberly for my upcoming massage. I have to say…..that was a GREAT recommendation. Kimberly had her own style and techniques. I have never left a massage feeling like I do now. If your to looking try Rivage, for the first time, definitely ask for Kimberly. She far exceeded my expectations:) I feel great!

Overall a wonderful experience. Nick was phenomenal not only as a therapist, but he took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and how my body mechanics work, asked if I wanted stretching homework to maintain the progress in relaxation, etc.

Most relaxing time of my life. Spa aesthetic is so calming and plush. Staff is focused on making you feel welcome. Lots of special touches with refreshments and lounge time after treatments. Had a facial and lash bomb and results were better than promised! Will definitely be a returning often.

I’ve been to Rivage twice now. The first time was okay, but this last time has convinced me that I’ll never go anywhere else for massages or facials. Fadia did my massage and she was so thorough – I’ve never had such an amazing massage in my life. Before today I’ve never had a facial, but Stefania was so great I want to start getting them regularly with her. I’ll definitely be back and would 100% ask for these ladies by name specifically.

The Rivage is an amazing place! My husband and I enjoyed a couple’s massage there. The beauty and ambiance of this place is tasteful, warm, and inviting. It’s clean. The staff was very professional, friendly and hospitable before, during and after our massages. The massage therapists are so skillful and accommodating throughout your entire session. We are still lavishing in the absence of aches and pains in our bodies a week later. This was one of the best massage experiences we’ve ever had! Our next appointment is already booked!

My first time here and this was the most exceptional service I’ve ever had. I got a therapeutic massage by Eric and he provided the most relaxing, gentle, and truly therapeutic session. He was very soft with every movement and transition. The hot stones were an amazing touch to the service. He spent a very good amount of time in each area. Again, the movements and transitions were so smooth and relaxing. I fell asleep a couple times!I will definitely be visiting back for Eric! A huge upgrade to other local massage/spa chains

I received a gift card to this spa and booked the Rivage Retreat package. I loved it! The lounge space was clean and relaxing and all of my services were wonderful. The ladies that did my services (manicure, facial and massage) were very nice and professional.It was my first time getting a facial and I will definitely be getting more, my skin felt amazing and I feel like I could really see results (no more flaky skin, pores looked smaller and my skin felt clean and hydrated. I have sensitive skin so I was concerned but I had no issues. ) The massage was wonderful. The room was relaxing, warm and clean and the massage therapist was great. I’m usually extremely ticklish but she did an amazing job and I could fully relax.Even the staff at the front were wonderful, when I booked my appointment they walked me through everything and had such excellent customer service that I felt relaxed after the call and I usually hate talking on the phone!I will definitely recommend this place and visit again in the future.

After receiving my service, I relaxed in the atrium area. I was informed when booking that I’d receive champagne, tea, water, etc. to relax for a little while before heading out.Well, it was myself and 1 other woman occupying the space. I was sitting there before her as an employee was standing by the sink the entire time. I said “excuse me.” No response. She walked past me and asked the other woman did she want anything. She received tea, additional water and napkins. I kept saying excuse me as the employee walked by so that I could get something, still no response. I had to get up and walk out to the front desk (where checkin is) in my robe and slippers to ask for champagne.Never returning. It was no excuse for that.

Deep tissue massage, barely any pressure at all, extremely light. Its a clean place, but I just felt like for how much you are paying I did not think that was a deep tissue massage, it was relaxing but not what I paid for unfortunately.

If you haven’t been here, you must come here. Especially for a massage done by the best of the best massage therapist (KIMBERLY). I am a regular for deep tissue massages. I have been to many manyyyy different places and had many different massage therapists good and bad experiences but this KIMBERLY lady at Rivage Day Spa definitely knows what she is doing. You can feel she loves what she does, her work comes from the heart.Like excellent, excellent massage done the right way. You can feel how experienced she is while she is massaging you.And when I say a massage done the right way you have to be experienced with getting massages to know what I’m talking about.I am picky and I like my massages a certain way. This lady just knew what to do on me once she started and I let her do her job and I was super impressed.She reads and listens to your body’s muscles and works on them so well. I never felt so relaxed. Her inner energy puts you at comfort in trusting the amazing massage she is performing on you.That is the first time in my life I ever had a massage therapist in Michigan this good, this phenomenal. From start to finish. She read my body she worked so well with my body during the massage I never so relaxed in my entire life. KIMBERLY is definitely the best massage therapist here.I will definitely come back for a massage here very soon and only see KIMBERLY. I will cancel my massage if I am automatically scheduled with a different massage therapist.The only part I did not like was the front desk young girls. 0 greet once I walked in. 0 greet when I walked out. When I made the appointment the young girl on the phone sounded miserable, it was my first time making an appointment she’s supposed to sound happy and excited.When you are a human with good vibes everywhere you step in, you instantly feel the bad energy/ vibes from others.This place needs mature good hearted people working at the front desk to greet people and know how to talk on the phone when people want to make an appointment to come in. You girls need a long time of training and if it’s not in you it will never be in you.KIMBERLY, thank you once again for an amazing amazingggggg massage. You keep doing what you love and what you do best!!

Rivage was absolutely amazing! I was recently there for the first time and the whole experience was great! I was there for almost 4 hrs. Everything from the deep tissue massage to the restorative ritual to the facial were wonderful. It has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The customer care was exceptional. I had a little down time between my services and the waiting room was not just open and airy it was very calming and relaxing. The staff would always check on me when walking by, but they werent annoying or pushy by no means. They are very clean and well organized. One of the best experiences Ive ever had and I can not wait to come back!

I was going to let it just be but I’m so upset that we spent nearly $350 and took us months to get in and my massage was as bad as it was. My husband and I were the last appointment of the day and we were booked for a couples massage. While he enjoyed his, my therapist was rummaging in the sink & kept running the water for the greater part of my massage. I have never had a massage that required anything to do with the sink. She was also drenching me in oil. Literally so much oil that while I was laying face down it was running down my neck and onto my face, and to wipe it off she was slamming the hot towels on me. I had to ask her to slow down multiple times. We were booked for therapeutic and there was barely any pressure, it seriously was like she was giving me a bath. She did not work on any of my problem areas I told her about, I’m just so disappointed. I’ve had multiple massages at Rivage and the space is absolutely beautiful but I won’t recommend anymore.

Went here for a prenatal massage and it was lovely. Alex was very good and kind. She listened to what areas i wanted more attention on and made me feel comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful in getting me setup. Would definitely go again.

Hands down gotta be the worst massage I ever got. Package was supposed to include hot rocks… didn’t get them. Maybe just a bad masseuse but definitely not worth almost 400$. Their solution is to try someone new next time. Why would I come back and pay again if that was my experience?My appointment was 4:10 I arrived 4:03. My partner got an amazing massage I was watching half the time because my masseuse was lost. Please don’t blame it on me.

Molly was excellent! I scheduled a facial and did not know which one I would need. Molly evaluated my skin and went through questions with me to determine the best option for me. Had a great first experience for my facial and will definitely Schedule another one. She answered all my questions and was very helpful in assisting me with what products I would need to purchase.

I celebrated my birthday here this past week and had an Amazing experience!! Lets start off with how beautiful the spa is and everyone was so professional. The staff was courteous from the moment I walked in. I received a pedicure and a full body massage. Alex is the best masseuse hands up or down. Not only was she professional but she also gave me some really good tips on how to loosen some of the tension in my back. I had a great time and I cant wait to go back.A few things to know wouldnt necessarily say cons.. due to covid they did not offer champagne and fruit. However they do have tea coffee and some light refreshments... The location was easy to find. However the closest parking in the front is only an hour. You have to valet at the hotel on the corner or park in the parking structure located behind the building. It wasnt a deal-breaker but I think its worth a mention. My experience was so great and kudos to this amazing staff.

There’s a reason Rivage has so many 5 star reviews. What an absolutely flawless experience. Amazing service from start to finish. Everything was clean and I felt very safe. I received a massage from Adrienne and a facial from Samantha. I’ve gotten a lot of massages in the last few years and Adrienne’s was by far the best. Samantha was super thorough with breaking down what she was doing and gave me some great tips for how to take care of my skin after. I left Rivage glowing, inside and out. I’ll definitely be returning!

I took my Mom and Sister-in-Law to Rivage Day Spa last Sunday as a Thank You for all they did with my wedding, and it was truly an awesome experience! Everyone who works there is SUPER nice, SUPER accommodating, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. We each got facials, and we got to hangout in the common room before and after and enjoy a mimosa, it was very relaxing. I had Christine who did my facial and she was AMAZING. Super nice, did an amazing job. I have had a facial before, but this experience was so much better. My Mother and Sister-in-Law very much enjoyed it as well, and we cant wait to go back! Thanks again!

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. I started coming here last year for services and so happy I did and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Allison is amazing, she super sweet and gentle and very professional. She answers all my questions and gives me advise for my skin care needs and I never feel pressured into purchasing products or additional services. She truly cares and listens. Every staff member makes you feel welcome from the time you walk in and makes sure you are taken care of. I enjoy my appointments and the ambience of the facility. I have had massages and facial treatments and very pleased. Although they can no longer serve a complimentary glass of champagne, coffee, hot tea or snack at this time due to the pandemic I still feel very relaxed and safe during my visits. Please if you need and want to be pampered and you have not been here I highly recommend booking an appointment today!!

First time having a hydro facial and Molly was so helpful and knowledgeable with helping me select which service I wanted and did an amazing job. The staff are all very kind and welcoming and it’s absolutely stunning inside! The locker rooms and common areas are exceptionally clean and well cared for. Lastly my friend and I were celebrating a late birthday and I received an exfoliating body scrub as a small birthday surprise. It was overall the best Experience I’ve ever had at a spa and we will be back!

This was my first time at Rivage Day Spa and it exceeded my already high expectations. From my entrance the place is beautiful, clean, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They’ve thought of every detail to make you feel relaxed including the extremely comfortable robes. I had my deep tissue massage with Alex who was phenomenal and super professional. I appreciated her communicating with me throughout to ensure the pressure and noise levels were okay. I was so relaxed I did not even realize the construction going on outside. This spa is perfect for a girls day or personal day of self care. Worth the money, I can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful experience at Rivage! We were able to rent a private space for 6 of us ladies to relax and hang out. I had a facial and massage and both services went beyond my expectations. Krista, the coordinator, was great with communicating everything we needed to know, did a great job accommodating the time slots we needed for everyone to have their services. Carmen, our hostess, was fabulous and took excellent care of us the whole time we were there! I will definitely be back!

I didnt really know what to expect, but she was very professional, and her techniques were incredibly soothing, and calming. Ill definitely be requesting her by name on my next visit. My esthetician was Sam (not sure of her last initial). She was very professional as well, and when I prompted her to provide insight into the process of my custom facial, she didnt miss a beat, and provided me with good information about skin-care routines that I found very helpful. The best hot stone massage I have ever had. Viola was my masseuse. She was great. I went with a friend, we had to wait almost three months for a time slot, but it was well worth the wait. The decor was very relaxing and just an enjoyable time.

Highly recommend the HydraFacial Elite with Melanie! Melanie was amazing and truly took the time to help me better understand what my skin really needs. The foot treatment was also much appreciated. So thankful my face now looks and feels so much better!

My first experience getting a facial could not have gone more perfectly! From the moment I walked in (even during covid times) I was greeted with a smile and a quick temp check them quickly checked in and given a tour of the facilities.Such a relaxing and calming environment with the sweetest staff making sure I had everything I needed.Once changed into these super comfy robes I was given a few minutes to sit and relax before my appointment with Allison-which was top notch!She took her time explaining the service I would have done today, side effects and what to expect from my skin.Truly left feeling like a new woman, and on my birthday no less! I was really happy with my experience at Rivage. My sister in law booked this place for me and I really didn’t know if I would be able to relax and enjoy but when I left I felt relaxed and happy.I can’t remember what massage I had but my massage therapist Rada was super accommodating and friendly. I had super relaxing massage and could tell that Rada had good experience with what she was doing.After my massage I just relaxed in the atrium area and had a nice shower in their luxurious bathroom area. Overall a nice experience. Would recommend.

My husband and I have been to Rivage for two couples massages in the past year. Both have been excellent, but this most recent one was literally absolutely incredible. Both of us had amazing experiences. You could tell that the massage therapists truly cared about their craft and viewed it as a process that was designed to help heal our bodies and release it of stress. Unfortunately I don’t remember my therapists name (I believe it was Kelly?), I would 100% recommend her to anyone and would book with her again! This isn’t going to be the cheapest massage in town, but it will be the best and it’s worth every penny.

I loved my experience at Rivage Day Spa. It was elegant and classy, absolutely flawless top to bottom as far as cleanliness and service is concerned. The service I received was also excellent, Allison was awesome. She was professional, personable, felt like 75 minutes with a friend!

From start to finish the service we received at Rivage was phenomenal! I cannot say enough great things about this establishment. 9 of us were here for a bridal party gathering. Krista made scheduling the events simple; she offered info about catering services and accommodated a change in service the day prior to our spa day. As soon as we got to the spa we were warmly welcomed. We changed into our robes in a clean restroom (this is super important to me:). We were ushered into a lovely private room that had been set up beautifully, and our Hostess was wonderful/super attentive! All of the services offered exceeded expectations. I wish I lived in Michigan; this would be the only spa I would go to!

I absolutely LOVE Rivage! I have been here twice now and each time it has been a wonderful experience! I first had a custom facial, which was very relaxing and left my skin feeling calm, fresh and hydrated - my esthetician was fantastic as well! Then, for my second visit, I stopped in for a quick manicure early before work and it made my entire day! Plus, my manicurist shaped my nails perfectly to my taste, which is sometimes hard to find elsewhere!The atmosphere is also on the top of my ‘pros’ list for Rivage. It really is the perfect place to de-stress and focus on self care. Not to mention the staff are so welcoming and pleasant!! Overall my favorite spa I have been to and I will definitely be visiting again soon! :)

Best experience ever!!! I had a deep tissue massage from Jessica. Hands down the best massage I ever had. I was experiencing extreme neck pain for 2 weeks prior, worse than I’ve ever experienced. After a 50 min deep tissue with her, I was pain free. She was so nice and made sure I was getting exactly what I needed the whole time. Will continue to book with her!!I also did a classic facial with kait. This was my first facial ever and she taught me so much throughout the whole process. She was so friendly and down to earth, I really enjoyed it! She also sent me with some samples of the products that I really liked!Over all my experience was perfect, will be returning!!!

I recently came here to celebrate my birthday with a nice space experience and pedicure! The experience was fantastic from the first phone call to set up my appointment until my time there was complete. Bailey at the front service desk was so kind, genuine and helpful. Najwa also did a wonderful job on my pedicure and was so sweet. She made me feel like a queen. The entire experience did...complete with a personalized happy birthday cupcake set up for me in the relaxation area! I can’t wait to set up another appointment. This is my new favorite spa!

I had the very best experience from my recent prenatal massage!!! Walking in I was greeted nicely by the staff and given a brief walk-through of the facility before my massage. Everything from the changing room to the waiting/relaxation room was tranquil and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. My massage therapist, Teisha, was the best!!! She was gentle and focused on all of my problem areas! She made sure i was comfortable and relaxed. I felt amazing afterwards!! If you’re looking for a great spa, don’t hesitate to visit Rivage!! This was my very first time visiting Rivage Spa and I had a wonderful experience. Starting with the easy valet parking to walking into a gorgeous spa with beautiful chandeliers. The receptionist was very kind & friendly, and my daughter and I were escorted into a wonderful woman’s locker room to change into a nice fluffy white robe & sandals. We then went into the lounge area that is so tranquil & inviting...my esthetician was Stefania, who was so very knowledgeable and absolutely wonderful with the facial treatment I chose. I will definitely be going back again for another treatment for myself. The whole experience was just wonderful.

Favorite spa in metro-Detroit. Their masseuses are always the best and very professional. I’ve had Eric the last couple times I’ve been in. Eric provides the perfect balance of deep tissue work & relaxation in his massages- he does a great job.I try to come monthly but appointments can be so hard to get! My only complaint would be booking/availability after 5 pm on weekdays or on weekends is hard to do, but that just shows how great the spa is overall.

Treated myself to a Birthday Spa Day on 2.8.19. My first time visiting this spa. What a phenomenal experience from the time you were greeted. ALL staff was professional, accommodating, attentive and AMAZING! I received a hot stone therapeutic massage with Connie and a Classic Facial with Nicole. Both were so awesome and can look forward to me being their regular. Did I mention the facility is beautiful! Give them a try, you wont regret it!

I had a great time at this spa. I loved my massage. However, I requested a woman and had a man come in and do my massage. I didnt want to dismiss him so I didnt say anything. The massage was lovely. This was my first time not having a woman do my massage.The facial was good. I am not sure if the facial is worth the cost. Everyone was very professional. I would definitely return for a massage.

Had a fabulous custom facial. Kate was attentive and really took the time to thoroughly address the concerns I had about my skin. Just 3-4 days later, my skin is healed from extractions and I feel like 17 again with that clean glowy skin (I am 34). She also recommended products for my skin routine and I feel like I am already seeing a difference. Lovely hand and foot massage during the facial as well. Rivage truly makes you feel like a pampered princess.

The actual massage, facial and mani/pedi were goodBeware the price you think you are paying may not be the price you have to pay. I had a gift given to me fully paid and due to scheduling issues with the spa it was delayed several months. When I was leaving they said I owed more money because prices have changed.I would expect that if a package was purchased ahead of time that price will be honored no matter when used.Also I was waiting 30 minutes between treatments and several staff passed me and didnt ask if I needed anything and as soon as two other women sat down they were asked if they wanted any drink. I got up to try and make my own coffee since I was never asked and then was told I couldnt do that. It took 2 other people to come and finally give me a coffee (and that was even made with an attitude). I would think that if we are spending hundreds of dollars at the facility that everyone would be treated the same (no matter what race, religion or culture) very disappointment and surely will not go again nor buy anymore gift cards for friends.

Facial with Molly was nothing short of phenomenal! She sat with me before and assessed my skin and what it needed. I received the Geneo brightening facial. My skin looks and feels amazing, plus texture, color and firmness! She recommended products for home use and I love them!

I received the best manicure that I have ever had here. I chose the Cashmere Luxe Manicure and it was worth every penny. The manicurist was thoughtful, informative, gentle and did a fantastic job with my nails! I had pretty damaged nails from a previous manicure as well as very sensitive skin. She gave me helpful tips to keep my nails healthier and even led me to a natural nail polish choice that is better on sensitive skin. She continuously checked in to make sure I was feeling good about the process. To make the experience even better, the spa provided complimentary mimosas! Rivage Spa really takes care of you and keeps your needs in mind. I would 1000% recommended.

Excellent service with a relaxing and soothing environment. I got a gift card here from my friends for my bridal shower. I got the hydrafacial and it was amazing. Victoria was great. She was attentive throughout the whole appointment and made sure I felt comfortable. I had a great first appointment and will definitely be back to try out their other services.

A beautiful gem in the city of Birmingham. The entire staff maintained a high level of professionalism from beginning to end. All therapists whom we interacted with were specialists in their craft and provided feedback for things we can do when we go home. Despite going with my spouse during Covid19, the massage exceeded our expectations and the facial was a wonderful treat at the end.Couples in the same room are not permitted due to the pandemic, which is understandable. We were thankful for them to at least be open. The entire facility was spotless with areas being cleaned multiple times throughout our visit. Symptoms screening before you enter coupled with the minimal amount of guests present will ease any concern you have of getting sick.The staff made our spa getaway a memorable experience. We will be back again.

Always love rivage but went this past week and had Kimberly. She was fantastic and went above and beyond. Can’t wait to book her again!

My mom and I went yesterday for a spa day (to celebrate my birthday and her retirement). It was incredible! When I called to make our appointments, they werent sure if they could include the vitamin C add-on during our facials. I asked again when we checked in - just to see if anything had changed. They were able to give both of us the add-on, as well as change our appointment time so we could start/end at the same time! The front desk staff were SO friendly. We loved being able to relax in robes/slippers in the spa atrium before/after our appointments - the waterfall was so relaxing. We both LOVED our facials! I almost fell asleep. I loved that Steffania talked me through all of the steps she was going to take. She was very thorough in asking about my skin concerns. Ive had facials in the past where I felt jipped (like I could do it myself at home), but not this one! She was fabulous!! We even got massaged during the facial, which was so relaxing. After our facials, they put together some skincare recommendations for us and even gave me a sweet little birthday gift! The staff definitely made us feel special, and we cant wait to return soon =)

While I think Rivage is a great spa for a relaxing massage, I won’t be back for a facial. My esthetician was very professional and she did a good job. I just can’t get past how much time is spent on trying to up sell their products. It’s just not for me. The facility is very clean and it’s a very nice place.

First impressions were the spa is very clean and beautiful. I booked 2 services, a massage and a full body mud treatment. My massage was average, not the best I ever had but not the worst. Im giving 2 stars because of the mud treatment which I never received, my tech said that the treatment was very messy and she was going to try something else. She ended up just using lotions/serums. I cant imagine I got what I paid for. I wouldve mentioned something to the front desk staff but my tech had walked out with me and wouldve been awkward. It never shouldve happened in the first place. Ill stick with Beach House down the street.

The spa is lovely and has a very tranquil feel. We enjoyed the few minute wait in their lovely room where we were offered juices and or water. We had the couples message and both of the masseuses were wonderful. My husband had deep and I went with regular and we were both happy, even regular strength was quite firm and relieved my neck muscles. After the message we relaxed in the waiting area where we were offered champagne. I am ready for another massage and will try some of their other spa services.

I love this place! I wont go to any other salon in the area because you wont get this type of service or experience anywhere else. I have been coming here for about 2 years and I am proud to call this my home salon! The front desk staff are so kind and helpful, and the Salon owner is great as well! Krista is the group event coordinator and her attention to detail is amazing! Ive booked two larger group events here and she has been extremely helpful and direct. She even responded to one of my emails on a Sunday night! Love this place! Kudos to you!

My brother-in-law surprised my sister and I with a visit to this spa for the day. The location was extremely clean everyone was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. All of the staff wore double masks and face shields. And they did not book a lot of appointments so I barely saw another person including my sister. I will be returning here. This was one of my favorite spa experiences!

I think I was expecting more, from such a high-end salon, which Im no stranger to. I had won a gift card to this day spa from a company function. The eyebrow wax I received was good, and I would recommend the esthetician Victoria, and may possibly use her again.That being said, I got a pedicure from a woman, (I dont remember her name), but her demeanor was quite off-putting and rude, although she did a fine job on the pedicure, although it took much longer than it needed to be. also, I get pedicures regularly and Im used to a thorough, intense massage. This was extremely underwhelming. She was barely going through the motions.I do want to thank the receptionist, who did her best to rectify the situation.

This was my first time visiting Rivage Day Spa, I had the Mom to-be package and received a facial, massage and pedicure. I loved my experience from the moment I walked in, I felt safe and secure despite having to wear a mask and take extra COVID precaution. I visited Rivage on a Monday, so not necessarily a busy service day but there were certainly other customers. It was calming, relaxing and everything you would hope and expect from a day spa. I definitely plan to go back after baby arrives as an added treat!

We booked a private party recently and everything went flawlessly! The staff were all kind, attentive, and made the day so special. Everyone loved their massage and facial services and left feeling relaxed and happy. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Molly was the absolute best! It was my first facial I’ve ever had and she customized everything to what was best for my skin. She explained every step and helped me figure out a routine at home to help maintain my skin. She was really easy going and fun to talk to. I had such a relaxing time. Never been more relaxed in my life!!!!!!!!!!!

Such a beautiful space with friendly on time staff. Had a AMAZING facial! Feet & hands included! The hot towels smelled so refreshing nice & lemony. Highly recommend. The food my friend and I enjoyed after was great as well. Thank you for a much need experience! We won this at The Variety event at the Townsend Hotel! So they are great supporters of our community so let’s go and support them you won’t be sorry!

Love this spa, have been coming for my massages since they opened. Beautiful atrium and lovely staff! Everyone is so accommodating and kind.I most recently Had an amazing hydro facial with Sam! They follow all precautions (for COVID) I felt very safe and the spa itself was extremely sanitary.What a great place to come for some quality me time and self care. I’m Already looking forward to my next visit!!!

It was great! I had Joanna for a bikini and underarm wax and absolutely no pain, she was amazing. A couple of days later I had Vitoria for full legs she was great also. It was a wonderful experience and I will go back. Next I will try their facials.

Absolutely wonderful facial experience at Rivage Day Spa! This spa is clean, professional, relaxing, beautiful, and the service is fantastic. My treatment was longer than the appointed time because I had never gotten a facial and had a lot of questions. Every question was answered and I even got recommendations for treatments I could do on my own. Already looking forward to returning!

If I could give more stars I would!! Who would’ve known I didn’t have to go on an out of state vacation to feel that much peace. My mom and I went together and we both were so refreshed afterwards!! It’s a place everyone should experience AT LEAST once and if you can, more than that! Everyone was so welcoming and kind! It was a day that we won’t forget and we will be returning ! I had an awesome facial by Allison. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Allison was extremely personable. Not only did I enjoy everything about her, but my skin felt awesome afterward. Her recommendations on products to use after were also great. I would definitely come back and see Allison!

Wonderful experience for our staff celebrating our work anniversary. This is our second party here and it did not disappoint. The Rivage staff is incredibly professional and completely thorough. Krista organized an amazing day for our staff and each technician made us feel so special and pampered. The Private room was arranged beautifully for our lunch and the open lounging spaces provided a relaxing environment for everyone to enjoy. Rivage is truly a special gem that we are so lucky to have in Birmingham.

I visited for the first time after receiving a gift card for Christmas. Nice and clean spa. I booked a facial and lip treatment. It was very relaxing and left my skin glowing! I also ended up buying their lip mask and its amazing. Would definitely recommend.

The massage by viola (I hope I spelled it right) was very nice very professional and I was relaxed the lounge was nice, And when we called to make an appointment the lady said there was a sauna , hot tub like a full service spa and it wasn’t so that was disappointing and weird for her to say that if there was nothing of That sort. But overall I just received the massage and I loved it but I just didn’t see anything amazing about the spa itself for me. Friendly staff and manager so that was a nice.

I had a lady named Rita! She was awesome I truly enjoyed my massage pressure was amazing and so relaxing. All protocols for preventing spread of virus was great mask was on face up. I didn’t mind it at all. My slippers were put on for me before I got up which was really nice. Definitely would go back again and visit Rita. She was lovely 😊

Hands down one of the best spas I have been to in a while! Last month a group of us enjoyed an afternoon at the spa for a friends bachelorette party and we couldn’t have experienced better customer service. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We had a private room so we could all gather and hang out and have some drinks/food and no glass was ever empty or dirty. That’s just for the customer service end. We each had different services from Mani/Pedis, Facials and Massages. I personally received a facial from Allison and it was heavenly! I can’t wait to go back and relax in their atrium after a facial or massage and just enjoy my day. The best! Thank you.

I had a pedicure with Fatima and she was absolutely awesome! She listens to your needs is very detailed, scrub and massage were great! Her polish was meticulous. This place really takes covid seriously which makes me excited to return. Thank you!!

The spa is fine and my massage was nice. Be warned that they won’t allow you to tip on your card unless you’re tipping a minimum of 20% of your entire service. This is an absurd policy. Bring cash if you want to tip because they don’t make it easy otherwise. I even looked over their website afterwards and saw no mention of this policy.

Nick is worth the wait. If you want someone who really understands anatomy/physiology, will modify his approach to your needs, and is also intuitive, hes your guy. Very talented.

Overall the the spa was a good experience. The staff is great and the space is beautiful. I’m not sure if it was a scheduling error or if I was forgotten, but I ended up waiting about 45 minutes between services and had to remind them I was still there. I would recommend Rivage, but say something if you find yourself sitting for what feels like too long.

Rivage Day Spa provides excellent spa services. I purchased The Rivage Retreat spa package. The therapeutic massage was done very well and had the perfect amount of pressure. After my facial my skin looked hydrated and glowing and my nail service was top notch. The service providers were both very nice and professional. I highly recommend.

Amber is amazing! She is calm, gentle, and so kind. Amber shows professionalism throughout the entire facial! Rivage is very fortunate to have such a great Esthetician!

Very clean and pretty spa. I had a great massage and facial. My 4 stars instead of 5 are because of the manicure that I got, wasnt as expected. The manicurist was very nice, but I wasnt too happy with the results. Hardly did anything to my nails, besides filing them and nail polishing.

It really was an amazing experience. Ive never been to this place and I got a spa day for my birthday. I will say I felt a bit judged as soon as I got in. Im not sure if its because I am young and being in my 20s people dont take me seriously but it felt like when I walked in I was looked at like what are you doing here? The massage was great, the facial was great, the environment was incredible but I will say I felt judged. Great place though.

I had an amazing experience at Rivage. I had microdermabrasion done by Nahil. My skin never looked better. Nahil recommend some products for my skin and also provided me some samples. Shes knows her stuff and answered many skincare questions I had. Staff are also very helpful and kind. Love the vide of the spa. Its bright, classy, calming, and clean. I will never walk into another spa and will be returning to Rivage to try out the services they offer.

Love, love, love Viola for deep tissue massage. She actually does deep work and has a technique that is different than others. I can’t explain it but it was fantastic to loosen me up.Why do I give it 3 stars? Check in and front desk area is crowded, unorganized and not that welcoming. I’ve been here 3 times. Once since Pandemic. I’ve never liked the front area. This is a high end spa but you walk smack dab into the desk with no area to wait for others to finish. There is a sitting area to the left but you go there after you check in. I arrived, 3 customers and 3-5 employees. I wasn’t greeted, I stood there, three women at front desk, one helping a customer and other two working on single call. One is drinking and eating ice without mask which makes me uncomfortable. I don’t go to restaurants for that reason. I hear them leaving a message that they mistakenly charged a customer for 2 massages and can’t refund because wrong card. I can hear all of this although I’m standing as far away as I can. I may wait for vaccines and summer before I come again.I was very stressed when viola came to get me. It completely defeats why I go to a high end spa. Birmingham Massage Green is a more welcoming environment. But Viola is so fantastic that I will return to Rivage.

I brought a friend here to celebrate a huge milestone that she achieved, and we were both blown away with the facility, professionalism, and quality of our services. The spa waiting area was so peaceful and relaxing, and we both really enjoyed our massages and mani/pedi’s. I would definitely recommend this spa, and hope to visit it again in the future.

This was my first time at Rivage and it was incredible! All the attention to detail and extra pampering was amazing. We celebrated my moms 60th birthday with a spa day and Rivage went over and beyond to make it special. They provided us mimosas, a cupcake and even a little birthday gift for my mom. Would highly recommend visiting and will for sure be visiting again soon!

Since this was my first Spa Day experience at age 84; I don’t think it could have been better. Every service I had was extraordinary (massage, facial and manicure). Each technician was very attentive, professional and took care of every need I had. I will work on my budget, so hopefully, I can return again and again!!

I normally dont post reviews....like.... ever! I just have to rave about Rivage! It was by far the best spa experience Ive ever had and Ive tried them all. From the chaise lounge chairs in the atrium to the heated robes and the strawberry mimosa, every detail is spot on. Its sparkling clean and several people check on you. I was just so pleased. Its not cheap but it is WELL worth the money. You will see that the price is not bad once you experience it all!

We had the most beautiful and accommodating experience at Rivage Day Spa where we had our corporate holiday treat. They were so flexible and kind with the large group and everyone left feeling refreshed and calm! We tested their patience with our changing needs and they responded kindly and enthusiastically met each new request! I highly recommend them.

Today was my first experience at Rivage Day Spa in Birmingham and I had the most incredible time! My sisters and aunt surprised my mom with a spa day and Jessica really made everything perfect for us. The 5 of us enjoyed a range of services from manicures and pedicures to massages and facials, and everything was absolutely amazing! The spa is truely one of the most beautiful spaces Ive ever seen and the staff were wonderful. We would all definitely go back and would highly recommend!

The only reason in which I did not give them 5 stars is because upon checkout, I did not receive a welcome back. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to schedule my next appointment. My massage therapist informed me after our session that I need an additional series because of the amount of tension I had. But, I would have thought this information would go into my profile. If this spa has a membership, I wouldn’t know any details about it. The checkout experience was interesting as well in how I received my total balance. BUT.... My massage therapist was excellent. She applied the right amount of pressure. Also, the ladies who did my mani/pedi were the cutest and so funny. Minus the no return questions... it was a very pleasurable experience.

Rivage day spa never disappoints I never ask for a specific masseuse when I go there because I know every single one does an amazing job every time I have been there. It is something I look forward to and think about every day until my appointment :) you’re always checked up on and taken care of very professionally. I love it here!

This was my first post pandemic massage and it was wonderful. Viola ensured it was clean and safe, washing her hands before and after. She also provided my mask as soon as I flipped over - and kept here on the entire time.The massage itself was also amazing - I’m sure it wasn’t easy as I was full of knots! I will be seeing Viola again soon!
