Came here after Pride Festivities in the streets and it’s a huge place!! Didn’t have a cover when we went. Friendly bartenders and good service. Food is good bar food!! I had the chicken Caesar wrap and buffalo wings, which were incredibly tasty. Multiple levels with bars, karaoke all the way upstairs with some outdoor space. Will definitely be back!
I had an amazing experience and time last night at tabu lounge. I went there with a group of friends and we watched the drag show performance which was amazing 🤩 also the bartender on the second floor was super helpful, sweet, kind, and caring too. He looked out for me and had my best interest to heart. The bartender on the second floor that was working there last night provided exceptional customer service and i really appreciated that as well. The drag queens that performed last night was amazing as well. Super thanks to the whole staff by provided an amazing and wonderful experience for me and my friends.
Place is really pretty bad…Won’t be going back for a while to this particular gay bar. Saturday night it really sucked, not even busy and couldn’t handle taking one order of fries. Literally the bartender had an attitude asking him after waiting a half hour already where they were. We waited another half hour at least sitting there talking and then I said the hell with it and just left without even caring after paying for them and leaving a tip already. They’re jealous, sad and pathetic people working there. The bar has gone down the toilet from when it was 12th Air Command!
Wow… never thought I would leave a review like this, but it is now the second time, as a person of color, that I have walked in, watched everyone else be served (all white clients, many of whom walked in after me), and then I was finally greeted and served (span of almost 25 min from seating to service). I have a couple of friends I casually mentioned this to who said they had the same experience and no longer go there. I guess I should’ve talked to my friends first.Never again will we go here, as it is clear people of color are no longer welcome. Is this seriously Philadelphia?!
My group got to Tabu late for our show so we didnt get to eat more food. But the drinks and service was great
Most disrespectful bartender in the bar. My girlfriend and I asked for a water and the lady clearly saw me and gave direct eye contact and didn’t approach me. Not to mention, there were several rats and mouse in that place. I would not recommend getting served from the girl because clearly she will not give you the time of day. Worst experience ever!
Me and a coworker went there last night. After I asked for a drink the bartender (blonde hair women) asked me to look at the menu cause they didn’t have that. I understand to look at the menu but I did not see the QR code and she said it snarky. After that she gave us both our drinks to the wrong person. We asked for fries and she asked us 3 times which ones we wanted. After 20-30 minutesNo fries were given. We then asked again she said what’s the tabWe told her she never opened a tab for us she asked us again for our tab and we told her again she didn’t open oneBut she can open one now and just add everything. She turns around and says to the other people “can you believe these people”. Then knocks down my cup by accident. We were in complete shock. We left afterwards. She was very dismissive and rude.
Great space with great staff! Reggie and the whole security team were so nice and welcoming along with all the bartenders. I was visiting from out of town and was told to go here and it didnt let me down. I will definitely be back!
Great bar for drinks and hangout. Loud music. They have trivia nights on one of the weekdays. One weekends they have drag shows but in my opinion its nothing interesting and not worth with cover. Overall okay and could be better with certain improvements. I like pool table to play while drinking. Most of the bar tenders are great but i have encountered mean bar tender at this place.
1 vodka ginger - 11.88 with tax 🤣🫣 (when everywhere else is 8) y’all are funny that’s before tips. The bartender was rude, never said hi, and was then expecting an additional 20% tip. In all good consciousness… no. Avoid.
Shout-out to the cute bartender who tried to kill me and my friend, your drinks were THE BOMB! 👌🏽👏🏽❤️ Excellent service, clean bar, intimate vibe, incredible food, and friendly/attentive staff. They are definitely slept on and its a shame because this place is A GEM and well worth the drive and biggest bang for your buck! I drove 37 minutes just to come so I 20/10 recommend.
This place has EVERYTHING! 😉 It truly does, the three floors all offer everything different and the deck on the third floor is an awesome spot to grab some air. My only qualm is that the drinks are a little pricey ($14 for a double rail drink). Great staff and drag!!
I’ll start this out by saying that I always have a good time at Tabu. It’s a go-to and I always have fun. On 5/14 we attended Luna’s Nightcap. The bartender was incredibly rude. Throughout the night he was constantly speaking to his friend making it hard to grab his attention. At the end of the night when we asked for more water we were told to “let that ice melt, and we’d have enough water” in reference to our empty cups. At first we laughed, then he angrily snatched our cups and refilled them with a disgusting attitude. This behavior is not OK and makes me want to avoid gay spaces like this. Incredibly too much drama especially since we tipped him well.
The bartender refused to give an itemized receipt. The price seemed way off for what was ordered but not enough to bother spending any more of my time advocating further. If I ask for an itemized receipt, I expect to have it printed. Period. In any case, the service was slow and unfriendly.
Bartender was rude. I ordered food, it came out quick but the bartender literally put my food on a shelf instead of handing it to me (i was sitting right at the bar, he def knew i was the one who ordered it) i waited 30mins while MY food was ready and just sitting around getting cold until i asked where my food was and then he handed me the cold food from the shelf. Its obviously he purposely put it there to make me wait instead of handing it to me fresh. I waited 30mins until i spoke up just in case it wasnt my meal and maybe the kitchen was busy, but it was my meal. Smh rude bartenders.
The bar has an awesome energy! Kevin (the third floor bartender) is the best! He said hes been working there for more than four years and it shows. His drinks are incredible, his passion is infectious, and hes an all around awesome gent. Go Kevin!!!
So, my favorite bar in our gayborhood is Tabu. Last weekend, I was there and ordered a whiskey & diet. I asked the bartender (who I dont think Ive ever seen before) if he could show me a food menu. He very dismissively shoved a napkin dispenser to me and literally said only the words Scan this as he twirled away from me. Seconds later, he returned with a plastic cup that was filled with diet soda, but no actual whiskey that I could discern. I tapped the shoulder of another bartender (one whom I definitely DO recognize) and explained the situation. Surely, I thought, he would just pour some whiskey in this plastic cup and go back to his life. Instead, he took the time to mansplain that the diet soda is really dark and thick. Maybe he was just trying to manifest the rest of his evening, but customer service this was not. I pushed my $8 cup of diet soda away and left. I WONT BE BACK, FORMERLY-FAVORITE BAR. Good job.Kinda can’t wait to see if my review is chosen by the owner to type out one of their ill-conceived responses, in which they typically make a lame excuse before ultimately blaming the *customer* for the bad experience. WHAT HAS BECOME OF THIS PLACE?!
Someone in my group was publicly accused by the karaoke host of contributing to hate because Yuengling beer was consumed. No one in the group works there, and we didn’t purchase that beer for tabu’s customers you should direct your comments to the owners Mia 👀. Then again knowing this place it’s always been drama so I shouldn’t expect anything less. love is love, except when you’re here. 💔
I got robbed.some sly character Took off with my jacket while sitting at the bar. With my cash wallet and IDs. Went back to check with the manager next day, said it happens all the time. Hold on to your stuff, better still, avoid this place.
Last night, I asked the white male bartender for a frozen margarita drink just like my friends, he looked me up and down and completely ignored me. Sadly, I did not order a drink from him and went downstairs to a nice young lady who I tipped nicely. However, it came across as racist and more people should be aware of the unequal treatment Taboo pretends to exonerate and separate themselves from actual racists. I go to a lot drag shows and know a lot of people 😉. Please advise bc I would move forward to seek legal action in case someone wants to “Me Too” this fake lgbtquia+ establishment.
A nice place to grab a beer but didn’t feel so Latino friendly. I’ve been there on Friday afternoon and it was a very interesting experience . I stayed in the roof , tried to start a conversation with two or three fellas unsuccessfully…lol. Anyways , John, the bartender seems to be a nice person and gave me a few informations about the bar , as such they’re turning only 4 years on Halloween this year . Well, a lot to go to become a nice spot for all . Cold beer and fresh snacks are a plus .
Came for the drag brunch and had a really great time.We ordered the chicken and waffles which actually surprised me. The waffles were really good, the batter tasted sweet and went well with the chicken and syrup.I had 2 mimosas that were really good. I forget the other drinks ordered at the table but I do remember it being good and strong. The energy was great. Performance great and fun.
Nicole is a fantastic bartender, super attentive and responsive to the needs of all their customers even when the bar is full!!! I felt super welcome and Nicole is a huge part of that!!!!
My friends and i LOVE tabu! we go here almost every weekend and the environment is so friendly, nice, and open to all types of people. shoutout to security guard reggie (im pretty sure that was his name)! ive had bad experiences with bouncers/security guards here before (thus the 4 stars), like one time we had a security guard follow my friends and i through all 3 floors and even into the bathroom and when confronted in the bathroom he just told us, i was just checking to see if you girls were ok. but reggie is cool, give that man a raise or something.EDIT: i want to add, after letting a bartender know about the weird security guard, he was immediately put on bouncer duty and after that night MONTHS ago, i havent seen him since. they probably hired better and less creepy security LOL
Place used to be better down the street. It is kind of loud for my tastes these days. I prefer more chill places. I used to go to just stare at Phil. Heard he owns the new place. Wont see me there though... not my scene anymore. Great roof deck though.
Awesome brunch drag show. Drinks were strong and worth the money. Every person I encountered here, whether a patron or employee, had a wonderful disposition. Such a great atmosphere!
My favorite bar\restaurant in philadelphia! I love the tots and waffle fries. I also love that they carry Golden Monkey beers downstairs. Go to their website their events are updated they have great events such as bingo, karaoke, drag shows, you name it! Also the roof deck is pretty legit!
Bouncer refused to scan my friends ID (Maryland ID, she’s almost 27) and when we pressed on as to why he got an attitude and wouldn’t let the rest of our group in. Rude as hell and another bouncer joined and wouldn’t remedy the situation. Go elsewhere.
Something for everyone. Drinking and drawing. Karaoke. A rooftop lounge that allows smoking. Low key vibes on 1st floor. Drag shows. Good wings. Not a place bros go to pick up gay mens straight friends. LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Best in the gayborhood.
Ive been coming to Tabu for close to a year now and I always leave happy and quite frankly, safe. The staff here clearly cares about all their patrons and always remembers a face.I come here every Sunday for karaoke with the fabulous Yari and Jenny, as well as knowing Jacob is fabulously making cocktails behind the bar on the 3rd floor -- karaoke is free and you do end up making friends which I have. Yari knows how to get the crowd going with her amazing vocals and its such a great way to unwind after a long weekend and just have fun without any judgment. Jenny and Yari together are like peanut butter and jelly, you know youll leave Tabu smiling about all the good memories youve made.Jacob, the bartender, is always accommodating and knows how to make a cocktail.Highly recommend bringing your friends here on Sunday, great for groups as well.Karaoke starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 9:00 pm; however, Isis, another fabulous singer takes over from 9-12:00 AM.
We walked up showed our ID and the idiot for a bouncer started to act up, you need a license despite us saying we are visitors. He was ready to fight. Gays are peaceful folks why hire a monsters to check IDs. We walked away because we prefer give our money to establishments that appreciate us. Shut them down! Do not support killers! Shut them down! “Killer Bar”
This was my first time inside the new location. I wanted to give it a chance, since I liked the old Tabu. It was terrible as iCandy, and is still pretty much the same as Tabu. If you dont fit a certain demographic for most of the bartenders, you be ignored. I was ignored for initial drinks, food, and refills. Friends and I tried getting the bartenders attention, but he would just walk on by while not really doing much at all on a slow night. Even one of the managers tried to get the bartenders attention after a friend who is friends with the manager asked, but was still ignored. I think it ridiculous to have to essentially yell to get someone to take your money. Do they not want an income for themselves? The food however was still the same as old Tabu, so that part was fine.During the few interactions I had with the bartender, he mostly was just being smart with me for no real reason; Im unsure if he thought he was being funny or if he really was just that rude. While I should give some of the other bartenders a shot, I definitely do not want to come back to a place where youre made to feel isolated as soon as you walk in the door, and on top of it have a bartender treat you as less than the people at the other end of the bar. I can attest that there are some good people working here behind the bar and behind the scenes, but the whole experience I had with this one awful bartender really spoiled it for me. Hopefully the good ones can find a better location in which to work.I dont plan on coming back and would recommend trying other spots for yourself as well.
I wish I could leave a negative star review. The bartender on the roof deck was extremely rude . I got loaded fries and nachos. The fries were missing chicken and cheese and the nachos were missing salsa. I very nicely approached her and said “I know this is not your fault so no worries but....” and she said “well u ate most of them”... extremely rude. She gave me attitude all night Idk why... im a very nice person (maybe too nice) so not sure why she was being so rude.
My friends and I got racially profiled by the manager of this place. He said my friends and I was dancing like monkeys and wanted out of his establishment. He even accused one of my friends of selling drugs to people. The audacity of assumption he placed on my friends and I. ZERO STARS. Will not recommend this place!
Great drinks! Super potent mix drinks! Love the people but went with my wife to meet friends who have a gay cousin we hung out with. Greatest type of persons there tonight (Friday 1/12/18)!
I enjoyed the show, BUT, I ordered food, at 12:30. After watching other costumers arrive and be served, I asked what happened to my food at 1:30pm. I watched my order being placed 1 hour later, so I said NO, please cancel! Then I was told I didn’t receive food because I canceled my order!!! Brunch sucked for me!!! 😡
UPDATE: since they’ve moved to their new location, the food and service have tanked. Cold tater tots served on paper plates, and waiting for 45 minutes for a server to acknowledge our table on a very slow night. I’d avoid going here until they fix both.Former Review: Great food and strong drinks. Enjoy the sports, of drag shows if you are lucky!
We had the most fun ever watching the SuperBowl at Tabu. The bartender was amazing and the staff really did a great job with the crowd. I would definitely recommend Tabu to watch a sporting event!
This is my 2nd time that I came to Philly but worst experience ever. Bartender at Tabu are rude and don’t want to offer service just because you look are Latino. I will never come to Tabu or Philly. I couldn’t get a drink in Tabu because bartender were closing soon and refusing service to Latinos. I feel discriminated at Tabu.
Terrible experience. The wings are NASTY and overpriced and the bartenders are extremely rude. It took an hour and a half to get my food and the bartender refused to give me a refund before I got the wings due to the wait.
The drinks are a little pricey, but delicious. Everyone is really different, which is comforting. People are just looking to have fun and I enjoy each others company. The burlesque show was beautiful and empowering, and Sway is so much fun!
Amazing place to go! Pool tables on 1st and 2nd floor, the bathrooms are either individual or gender neutral, events and shows throughout the week, and the roof deck is a cherry on top of this great establishment.
Im really glad I didnt let the average star rating deter me from checking this place out. It was our favorite gay bar in Philadelphia, especially the roof. There are many 1 star reviews because of a one time tragic event.
Was a great special on a Monday while I was waiting to catch a bus(3hr wait). I enjoyed $5 absolute vodka cocktails along with $5 boneless wings! Bartender ken was world class and had his own signature punch available for $5. He even charged my phone for me!
They never get they prices right. I dont know if its just for one specific drink, but its never the same price when I go...and I go during happy hour. Get it right and Ill come back. Its very embarrassing to order a drink and they tell you the price and you have to tell them just yesterday they same time it was a different charge. Overall, they are very inconsistent and fhey bartenders, not excluding the manager dont seem to really care the ppl he is overseeing arent doing the right thing...not happy at all woth this place.
Okay! I went to tabu last night and I pregamed a little bit too hard last night lol. The SECURITY GAURDS WERE SO NICE!!!!!! i never had that hospitality before from a security guard. Thank you Reggie and your team for everything I felt so safe and so seen! I hope tabu is paying y’all really well because wow thank you!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!Gayborhood should be a nice experience, this time it absolutely was NOT! I feel embarrassed for even suggesting going to Tabu and never will again.I came in with a few friends (2 white 2 mixed) {upstairs bar} the white couple got serviced right away while, the mixed ones were ignored and were even asked to leave and they dd nothing wrong at all!!We all paid $10 to go upstairs and the 2 mixed friends didnt even get a chance to order a drink.. not because they were crazy busy but, because the staff was negligent and extremely rude!1. One of them asks if a server (who was behind the bar) was a bartender (not knowing that he was a server) and all he said was oh no I dont make drinks..He didnt even show her who the bartenders where.2. The mixed friend went to go order a round of drinks and a girl bartender with black hair standing right in front of her face ignored her. She waited until the bartender was done doing what she was doing and asked again, same thing. The bartender also stared at her and just laughed in her face. So, my friend spoke with the manager...he offered a complimentary drink but she said no. Thats not the point.CUSTOMER SERVICE KEY.3. She went back upstairs to ask a different bartender for a drink he gets an attitude and says theyre done (referring to my two mixed friends) and starts laughing with the same girl bartender about the situation. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.4. The bouncer comes and tries to escort my friends who are mixed out.5. My friend, knowing that she did nothing wrong questions this and the bouncer didnt have an explanation. Yet, was still trying to kick them out.6. I told my friends to put their drinks down and to leave because this is not okay. NO ONE should be treated like that!I WILL NEVER COME BACK and neither will my friends and anyone else who asks about Tabu to me!Ps. Theyre lucky I didnt record all of this because itd be blasted on social media right now.
Place is a joke. Last week I waited over 5 min for a beer in a NOT BUSY upstairs bar while one bartender had a conversation and the other spent time wrapping up a pice of birthday cake someone gave them. When she finally walked over she says do you need another drink? No I’m standing there with an empty bottle and money for the fun of it. Tonight I try to walk in doors are locked right at 1:15 am even though their website and google claims they are open until 2! Such poor management and it’s a shame because the bar actually has a cool atmosphere. I’m a bar manager and the lack of guest service is seriously disturbing! It won’t be long before another Philly bar fails because of poor management/ownership.
Host of karaoke stopped my song after first couple words and made me change song while on stage then doubled down on it after I chose a new song, I get it if I’d been singing all night but to publicly embarrass me was insane
I so miss karaoke here! Other than that, however, one of the better spots in the Ghood. Can get quite crowded, but the bartenders (especially Tizzo) know what theyre doing. Great food, too! Taco Tuesdays are a STEAL, and dont even get me started on them tots, yo!
Im 1 of the chefs there but the atmosphere is laid back fun u can meet lots of new people & every my co workers r fun to work with. We r like a close nit family always having a good time together! I say if ur looking for a fun bar to chill have a few drinks & enjoy some good food with family & friends alike tabu is the place to visit!
A group of friends and I bought tickets to see one of their brunch drag shows. The manager called us and told he wasn’t going to honor our tickets, which we’re purchased online, and then refused to give us a refund. It was extremely unprofessional and was in all honesty a scam.
Wow...just wow! Came here to have a good time and was treated like a threat. The despite me telling them to keep my card on hold, they cashed me out. Did they think i wasnt going to pay??? I was treated l Iike a 2nd class citizen.
I was recently in your establishment i ordered a chicken sandwich. I was disappointed with the sandwich but Britney the manager from the kitchen came out and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. I appreciate the way she handles her business and how she treated me as a guest I want to thank her and I want to make sure you guys understand to keep employing her to lose her is to lose someone that is a treasure thank you and goodnight.
Great shows, great drinks, can get a little crowded but if anything thats just a good sign of how well they cater to a variety of people
I was a patron at this bar Saturday night, and while half of my group had a wonderful time, the other half were treated so poorly none of us will ever return. We will be advising everyone we know to avoid your establishment in the future, not due to the behavior of your staff that led to the disservice, but due to the reactions of the managers and how the situation was (not) resolved. 4 of us entered the establishment and promptly two of us were served, we stood at the bar and sang along to the music videos that were playing on mute on the TV. The other two people in our group, did not get served. They asked someone behind the bar for a drink and he apparently was not a bartender. They asked the girl behind the bar for a drink and were ignored, then after a second request laughed at. I finished my drink and went out to smoke and found my two friends sitting outside, one in tears, after having been refused service and then been asked to leave by the bouncer. While we were outside, we saw some guy get bounced and yell and act belligerent. We called our Ubers and left. When my friend tried to report this whole incident to a manager, she got a snide, dismissive response. Some dolt manager here wrongly assumed that someone in our group groped someone and had to be removed. My friend felt that your employees refused her service because of the color of her skin because the two in our group who were served were Caucasian and the two who were refused service are PoC. The manager who responded to her emails actually called her a racist for self-describing as mixed when describing the situation. This is laughably terrible service and treatment, especially for a bar that has an \anti-discrimination\ policy publicly posted online. It\s also absurd and ridiculous for whoever it was to assume that our group was in any way related to that random guy who apparently groped someone. It\s offensive to be lumped into that category by people who clearly had no handle on the situation. I had a good time, until I found out how terribly my friends had been treated. Now I\m disgusted by your establishment and staff.I submitted that to their website for feedback and after 24 hours had no response, I then emailed it word for word to jeff beginning withThis email is in reference to the feedback I submitted on your website and still havent gotten a response back. It seems to me like you dont care, because this is a fairly serious situation that warrants attention.Jeff Sotland (manager):We are sorry you are offended. We have replied to your friend and thought she would have communicated that response to you. We will address your email internally.Thank you.ME: Your response to her was so awful it prompted my response.Jeff: We are looking into the events. Me:When can I expect information on the outcome of your looking into the events?Jeff:This will be internal. There will be no more information forthcoming. Me: So you dont actually care and wont be addressing anything, great. The word will be spread about this, thank you for your time and the ounce of consideration you gave.Jeff: Quite to the contrary. Our attorney will be investigating since legal action was threatened. It appears from the first commmunication we received that there was an interest in deriding the establishment and little interest in our handling...so this is where our communication will end. Not once did anyone threaten legal action, jeff. We said wed take our story public. I really hope you talk to your lawyer and he can tell you its a civil rights violation to deny service on the basis of someones skin color. Its not slander or libel if we are recounting our actual experiences. and deriding isnt illegal, Its just making fun of something. in this case your incompetent handling.
Ask for Diego he makes good drinks !! We had a great night , super chill and laid back good vibes ! Would’ve made five stars but there were a few jerky guys 🤷🏾♀️.... I will definitely have another girls link up soon...
We went on a Tuesday night for Slutchurch. Performances were unforgettable, service was great, crowd vibe was perfect.
Great bar, Great service, always supporting the community. New Menu is Great and Drinks are always on point. Loaded Tots are my favorite with the Frozen Margaritas
I really enjoy the unpretentious vibe of Tabu Lounge & Sports Bar. I visit on Thursday for the 20 wings for $10 and $6 vodka specials. You can gather with a few friends, watch a game, and enjoy each others company for a decent price.
Poor and offensive service. The bartender upstairs on Wednesday night 1/31/18 told other customers next to us, talking about my friend who bought two drinks to “not be poor”. Highly offensive and out of no where. Racially profiling and just ignorant. When my friend asked what he said to the other customers he said “youre fine baby, just don’t be poor.” We were totally embarrassed and will never come back to this ignorant person again.
Hires overly zealous thugs to be bouncers and instead of protecting the peace they’re given free range to assault and kill. Then Owners pretend like the murder had nothing to do with them.Trash
Drag shows are the best!We come for Bev’s Bitchfest and other drag events. We love the bar upstairs! The guys are great!
If you want to be made to feel like a fraud and a liar, this is the bar for you. At the door I showed my British passport to the bouncer, and because I was born in Philadelphia my passport showed that my place of birth as Philadelphia. After living in the city for more than a year, Ive never been questioned about my passport, as theyre notoriously difficult to forge. Yet I was made out to be a liar and a fraudster, even though I have a thick British accent and produced a British driving license. After eventually being admitted inside, the bouncer comes upstairs to kick me out. Even after I go home and bring a third form of identification I wasnt allowed in. If youre going to contract your security out, make sure that theyre educated and also have an ego that can fit through the door. On a day (pride) that celebrates inclusiveness and equality. I felt embarrassed, a fraud and isolated.
Last Saturday tots at the old location. Good basic bar food. Nick the server makes it a very friendly place. We will see how the atmosphere at the new much bigger location is effected.
They wouldn’t accept my government issues Philadelphia ID, the bouncers were rude, and they didn’t provide adequate seating for guests to see the show. One of my friends is disabled and needed to sit down, and they denied her a chair.I will not be coming back!
Best bar I’ve ever went to. Prices are amazing the people there are lovely. I have Nothing bad to say. I’ll go there every Saturday night. This will be my new spot
Not very pleased by the fact that I got food poisoned after eating some chicken quesadillas here(and yes, it was after eating from this place). They should be more careful with handling the food they prepare.
Last night I went with a group of female friends expecting it to be more half and half in terms of the whole crowd but it was overwhelmingly men. It was also crowded and boring. We checked upstairs and heard music from the movie Frozen... And they were gonna charge $5 for that... Lol so we left.
Shane was quick and sweet to us. I will definitely be coming back again!
Tabu Needs an update inside. Run down. Gross bathrooms. Rude staff. Go to Ubar that’s nice and so is Tavern. Go to Knock for good cocktails.
A little funny (strange and uneasy) and racist.I tried to order food & they said the kitchen was done taking orders ( he didnt say it that nice though). 15 mins after me a couple came.. ordered drinks .. then an additional 20 minutes went passed before I noticed hot food coming out to their table. 🤔
The owner literally said “NOT OUR EMPLOYEE, NOT OUT PROPERY” based on the hired help that killed Eric????? Hope he he gets ran out of town!!!! Close and shut it down!!!! Terrible bar when it was a block down and way worse since it moved.
This multi level gay bar has a space for everyone and all scenes. Be mindful on the pours as these drinks can be strong.
Went for afternoon drinks on the rooftop, friendly staff and great drink selection. Perfect spot to meet new people!
A bouncer horrifically punched someone outside of this venue and the person died! Rip. Smh. Hope the bouncer gets locked up for it.Edit: ANOTHER PERSON DIED HERE. A drag performer.
Bartenders downstairs are clueless...waited 10+ mins for a drink as they stood there and talked to each other. Also have no idea how to promote their business because they have no idea what’s happening upstairs
This is a everybody spot! No matter how you get down you will always feel welcome here. Oh and the food is everything! Especially the Chicken Quesadilla. This is the place where everyone will know your name.
Great place to meet up with friends for a fun night out. Always a nice size crowd with a lot of entertainment.
I loved stopping by Tabu. A gay sports bar that lives up to being one by actually caring about sports. They have a good selection of pub food, which Im not used to from gay bars.
Nothing like I candy kind of lame to much not the crowd they were used to miss them they upgrade the crowd in their they would be better bacchloete partys and so fourth haha
Kenny was a really nice host and we could watch the EURO in his nice sportsbar, while enjoying his nice burgers. I can recommend this bar!
I came here from Florida for a concert and this was the first place I went to I had so much fun I went there the whole week since I’ve been here if I’m ever in Philadelphia again I’m definitely coming back here love y’all 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
This place hires bouncers that ruin innocent lives. My dear friend Eric is no longer with us because of it. Shaking my head.
Great area nice bartenders, definitely will meet an interesting character or two when you go there!
One year since Eric Pope died at the hands of the bouncer, still no change.
An Uncomfortable layout. Constant lines to get a drink. Unfriendly stuff.Just not what I thought my experience would be when I visited the city last weekend.
Fun Happy Hour. Great bartenders. Awesome shows and specials. Food was yummy!
Always have fun here, amazing shows, great drinks, best bartenders around!
Great atmosphere and great service! Shoutout to Jeff the bartender for his awesome service and for being so personable.
I love this place. Great ppl, great drinks.
Formerly iCandy and recently purchased by Tabu from a block north that was a historically terrible dive bar too. This is worse. No, no, and no! Next owner please.....
Only went downstairs but the happy hour prices are great and the bartender Kenny is super.
Best bar in town. Inviting atmosphere, best staff in the city, and always a great time.
Luuuuuvvvvvv it food is awesome thanks to chef shawn at nights drinks are super(have uber close) you would enjoy yourself different things every night
Not for tourists. Dont except European ID cards. Anyway much better bars in Philly.
Most inclusive gay bar in Philadelphia, every one is welcome, strong drinks, great food, reasonably priced!
Cool and laid back atmosphere. Very welcoming. And security is great, especially Kelvin.
