Did not like the food at all. I ordered a Tripleta and it had no flavor. The empanadas were so small for too much money. I don’t recommend. Coqui does way better tripletas.

Love this place. I was going to wine and spirits and decided to stop by and try the place and i was impressed when i walk through the door. The atmosphere is beautiful. I love the teal and grey decor. I was so intrigued. Bryan the manager was working the bar and he had a friendly smile and great customer service. My drinks was amazing and my empanada also. Happy hour is everyday and to me that is top tier. On a Saturday too. That is the best ever. Bathroom was beautiful and super clean. I will come back again. Keep up the amazing work.

It was a delight. Immediate seating upon arrival, quick attention on drinks, speedy service upon menu request, and food was presented within 20 minutes after ordering. The atmosphere was very lovely.

The food was lovely and the service was even lovelier. I had an issue with one of my dishes I ordered on Uber eats. The manager Michi heard my concerns and personally brought another plate to my home. Not only the meal but also some delicious dessert!!Super service and looking forward to ordering again!

Food is soooooo good! Love the arroz con gandules and arroz con camarones in the cute oyas. Steak is tender. Ceviche is so fresh and yummy! Ropa vieja sooo good!!! Reasonable prices. Always something happening and they do a lot for and in the community. Happy hour 3-6pm, Taco Tuesdays 2 for $5, Thursdays karaoke, Free salsa lessons on Tuesdays at 8pm, comedy shows and live music on various weekends and they go ALL OUT for holidays w decor...big celebration coming up for Cinco de Mayo. An oasis in the community! Big space & 10 mins from Center City. Took friends there for my birthday and they ALLLLL loved it and some even ordered food to take home. They host events, fundraisers, birthdays. Many community leaders frequent the restaurant and host their events here. Plenty of free parking. Welcoming & fun atmosphere w professional & courteous staff. Stylish decor where can have privacy in a booth, a large table of friends, or sit around the bar which is always packed. They also have hookah.Highly recommend! And kid-friendly w plenty of FREE parking!

Amazing good and cocktails. Quick, friendly service. Fully staffed in a time when restaurants are struggling to find employees. The Saturday night DJ was playing a great selection of old school salsa. Cant wait to get back there.

I ordered tres leches cake, flan, and yucca fries from Izlas Latin Cuisine. It was probably the worst food Ive ordered from any restaurant in terms of quality and taste—especially because it’s not that hard to make those particular foods taste good... The worst part is that a few hours after eating about half of this food, I experienced violent and intense vomiting. This happened multiple times for the next 24 hrs, so it became pretty clear to me that I got some kind of food poisoning from their food. I would never recommend this place.

Super picky about the groupons. Food presentation could be improved. Glad it wasnt a bunch of processed junk but my salmon burger was (dont recommend it). Chicken breast was sauteed too dry, my salad was poorly prepped in my opinion.Overall, appearing fancy is one thing, meeting that standard is another.

My first time and last time ordering food here. The meat in the steak was old, almost decomposed, and its flavor was strange. The garlic sauce was super garlicky. The truth is that it wasnt worth the cost of the food.

For a while Izlas has been a favorite spot of mine for delicious food, drinks, great music and the occasional hookah. Unfortunately, my last experience made me want to never return. We had a table for Valentines day which we were told we were paying $100 for a three course meal and a bottle of champagne. Upon arrival we are seated and when asking for our champagne we’re told we’re not getting a bottle— just a glass. For appetizers we had the lobster bisque and tostones rellenos… the bisque seemed straight from a can, I saw not one piece of lobster and the presentation and quantity of my tostones was disrespectful. If you’re going to serve me ONE bite sized toston then that should’ve been specified in the menu. TostoneSSS would imply more than one. Anyway, I decided to stay optimistic about the entree but my champagne arrived WARM after asking for it 4 times and the presentation and portion of the entree was once again DISRESPECTFUL. We both ordered Carne frita with garlic mash, both our meats were damn near charred, bone dry, and flavorless much to my surprise. The garlic mash was my favorite thing I ate that day until I bit into a clove of raw garlic. Dessert was next and I was really trying not to be mean because the servers here are always so nice to us. We order the Cookie with ice cream “LA GALLETA” as it appeared on the menu but when it arrived it was an under-cooked brownie with a spoon of cheap ice cream on top… i’ve honestly never been so disappointed with an establishment or the fact that we had a $200 tab for a less than subpar dining experience. The best part was the mojito we ordered. A jazz performance was advertised but it was more like spanish Jazz, the salsa group that performed was the only thing keeping me enthused. I felt horrible knowing how much we paid and still were hungry when we left, it feels horrible to write so many negative things about a place that was really a favorite of mine but I couldn’t just say nothing.

My fiance and I went out for a date night on a Saturday evening for dinner, drinks and dancing and we had a great time! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, very tender and full of flavor. The ropa vieja was mouthwatering and had all the right latin flavors you expect. The drinks were delicious, the limber de coco is a must to try. The DJ played great music and the dance floor was spacious and there was an all around great vibe from staff and patrons alike. The servers were very attentive and courteous. We will definitely be back to enjoy a fun night.

Alright yall! You all ready for another review? Check it... I have been going to this establishment for over 3 years and the new owners are spectacular. They truly know how to treat their guests. I order different things every time but my favorites are the Yuca frita (the garlic mojo is amazeballs), guacamole, pork, carne asada and fish tacos are to die for and the Cubanito is my all time fav! Lastly, to top it off they sell a Tres Leches Cake that will knock yo socks off. Chilllllleeeeee!!! Soooo Damnnnn Good. The drinks are also amazing and my bartender always knows what I want. Thank you Izlas for amazing experiences every time I come.

I’m only giving it a four because of a delay but people when I tell you the service with Fredo was A1 please believe! I don’t leave reviews but this man deserves all the credit tonight. He saved my Valentine’s! He was super attentive, supportive and sweet. He kept my date and I aware of everything going on. Brought our drinks and food .. and he wasn’t even our server to begin with. Give this man a raise, I’ll be back again!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in West Kensington! Friendly staff and great eats! Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the city- their taco Tuesday will make you a regular too (the carnitas are my fave)!

This is one of those special places that I am so happy I found while living in Philly. Its decorated really nice. The service is nice too, but I would suggest giving some time and space for guests to enjoy their food and conversation. The food is delicious and the music is fun! The shrimp tacos and rice were my faves. I would go there again.

I ordered on Uber and the food was amazing I got an order for six people, empanadas fried cheese steak potatoes and wings and even the cheesesteak egg roll was great thank you for the great food!

The food at Izlas was excellent. I loved the Argentinean churrasco I asked because in addition to its flavor, the meet and vegetables were perfectly cooked. I was happy with the service that a young man called Dan offered. Furthermore, the place was cleaned and organized, and the tables were also cleaned.Prices were accessible, and the bar offered a good variety of drinks.I can recomended as a great place to eat.The parking around was easy to get.

From the front door to your seat the vibe was like something you’ve never ever experienced! I wish I could come again for the 1st time to re-live this amazing experience, the locals are great people and the staff are definitely top tier and the DJ was killing it! I like the place. Nice ambiance!. But sorry. The bartender doesnt know how to make drinks! I asked for a Margarita and I got a drink in a Whiskey glass full of ice. And cheese full price. The food is good. But the plates are small. Kind of pricey for what they give.

Sorry I have to give this review but they serve food like they serving a child the price for this small platter was 22$. Up the street on front an Lehigh they food is delicious and it’s a good amount for only 10$. They just got me for 22$ But that’s my lesson learned. I will never come back to this place. It was like one spoon of the spoons that you cook the rice with of rice

Close to home. Drinks are tasty. Barmaids can tend to be trained better on making the drinks. Service can also stand to be better during the busier nights when clientele is heavy. Food is AWESOME. Music is too.

We were here for an event and the service and food were very good. There was a delay in service, but once they took our order, the food was brought out fairly timely.The wings, Izlas Platter, and nachos were all very tasty.I recommend Izlas.

Cool spot, friendly staff, Spanish music (on the loudest possible setting).The only real knock was the salmon burger. If you like salmon, don’t get it because there isn’t any in it. It’s more of a salty patty made of bread crumbs, parsley and specks of a pink meat(ish) substance.

I placed a delivery order for brunch for my father which included the Latin Breakfast and the Fish Taco’s. Just want to say that the lady taking the order was very pleasant and polite. Secondly, the presentation of the food was amazingly excellent and appetizing! Lastly, my father stated it was a very generous portion size that he couldn’t finish in one sitting. He loved it so much that he called Izlas himself to compliment about how amazing the food and presentation were. I 100% gave Izlas a 5 star rating with no hesitation.Kim

Ive ordered delivery from Izlas for a while and Ive never been disappointed. Today I finally stopped by for Taco Tuesday and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, as always, the drinks were tasty, the server Miguel was absolutely fantastic, and every other staff member I spoke with was very kind. Definitely a gem in Philly, dont miss out on this place!

The literal worst food I have had in my life. It just wasn’t edible! And SO overpriced. I don’t know how they expect anyone to eat this stuff. And it’s NOT a restaurant. It’s a nightclub.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the arroz con pollo that I ordered was not good (it’s what I ordered the first time I came) It was warm, not hot. It was not mixed properly… the white rice was still showing. The hard boiled egg was cold. I gave it three starts because the servers were friendly.

The food is amazing. I wasnt sure at first but was in love at the end. Everything is freshly made. The place is really modern and clean. The staff is helpful. I will definitely be back. You have to try this place. Plenty of parking too.

Went for a birthday dinner tonight and the food was horrible! So disappointed I could not wait to post my experience. Im Puerto Rican so I expected so much more. Food had absolutely no taste and is overpriced. Drinks were watered down and took forever to get. Our party spent close to $400 and it was not worth it at all! Very disappointed, I will not be recommending this place!

Best Latin food Ive had in a long time Eat there often.. love love love their menu & especially enjoy Flan! Yesterday I enjoyed mussels on bar menu SUPERB freshest mussels in the city. loved the tomato sauce! Ill be back again & again!!!

Wow! We just had our first delivery and will be ordering again. Fantastic food. Very flavorful. Everything you are hoping it will be - the main meal, the sides, everything. And the service was friendly, prompt, and packaged well. The food was just incredible.

This was one of the worst places I have ever gone to. The waitress had no knowledge of the menu. I was given a paper menu and a QR which both stated the same prices for the food and then I received a check reflecting a completely different price. I was over charged for a drink that I didn’t even order. The manager and (not manager) were rude and not helpful.

The restaurant was chosen for a family gathering with time restraints and they were very accommodating. In fact they opened a half hour early for us. The service was exceptional. Food was great with reasonable prices.

I did not like the fried meat at all, it was hard, dry and tasteless, boiling the meat and then frying it is the worst thing they could think of and denotes a total lack of culinary knowledge. It is logical that if you boil and then fry the meat it completely loses its juiciness and therefore the flavor.The rice with pigeon peas was amogollao and did not taste like anything, I dare to bet that they did not even put sofrito on it. The empanadas were good except for the cheese one, use queso frito is not the best option.The chicken soup was water with rice and chicken floating, it had no salt, I dont want to continue because Im very upset they stole my money. I think it is very expensive for the amount they serve, I will never buy again.

Food was different , I never received my red beans with my white rice and bistec and the portion for the Icecream is unreasonable for $5 ! Never again will I order from here … $30 for a platter that had a side missing and a tiny cup of Icecream that was over priced. Very disappointed

Im going to start by saying that with entering the place I knew that the night would not be the best, I made a reservation for myself and my family and when I arrived at the restaurant, oh surprise, I had no reservation. The host fix it, we have a very friendly waiter, but his interest was not mine if not that of another table, I ordered two cocktails to start and only one was passable, my margarita apart from being served in a glass of water was extra loaded with the most ordinary Tequila and a bitter taste of rotten lemon. I ordered two appetizers which arrived after they bringing my wife main dish and my sons hamburger, 10 min after of wait for the rest of the incomplete meal to arrive. At first glance the food looked good but trying was more than enough, no seasoning, or salt! my ropa vieja had excess bay leaves which made my dish bitter. the mofongo has nothing of flavor and when I say nothing it is nothing. I was expecting too much from the restaurant I saw the posts on FB and honestly the photos look more appetizing than it is. I do not recommend it .I can Cook for them if they want too. I can do all that food being with a better taste starting with the mofongo and the garlic shrimp.

Usually it is always good service but unfortunately tonight was terrible. Very unsatisfied was served water and appetizers no silverware. After almost finishing the appetizers the server finally came over and asked did we want anything else, umm yeah dinner would of been nice but no thank you. Unfortunately we wont be going back.

I had an amazing seafood paella for 2 persons but definitely can feed 3. Also I had the most delicious empanadas with 3 different flavors; chicken, cheese and meat. In the weekends theres live latin music so be prepared to have fun.

Best place to go to dancing food people are sweet and loving.The owner and also bartender She is awesome and true to the ❤️ .Her employees are amazing and very professional.I go there often. And its very secure with security person if needed.

Nice visual update to the place. However wayyyyyy over priced. This used to be a place where you could go in spend $50.00 leave with a full stomach (of amazing delisous food) and with a few drinks in your system. Theyre no longer there to cater to our community which has supported Isla from the beginning theyre there for the new coming Philadelphians. Its kinda sad to see it honestly.

I was looking for some good latin food and stumbled across Izlas. What a hidden gem right in North Philly. I started off with the Tropical Al Guacamole which tasted amazing. Picking my entree was a little tough since everything on the menu looked so good. I went with the Camarones Al Ajillo. My entree came out looking great and tasted even better. I really enjoyed my dinner there and was delightfully surprised when I was approached by one the staff members to check on my meal and to come to find out it was the actual owner of Izlas Mr. Wilfredo Baez. He told me he just opened up a couple of days ago and look forward to seeing me there again. I will be back and let my co workers know about this hidden gem. GOOD LUCK Izlas.
