This is the best place to purchase chocolate cigars. I bought two packages of two cigars each for a total of $2.00 plus tax. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was great fun to shop there. As the staff is so animated.

The name caught my eye and I have to say this shop most definitely is a diamond in the rough out here in Philly. Super dope vibes from the store inside and the guys who helped me that work there. Craig (owner) never make good on the work we provided him, on top of that, things at this place are highly overpriced. Most of these reviews seem fake to be honest and for a period of time I knew the owner and how this store operate their business well overcharging for Kratom, vapes, etc etc etc.

Customer service is a amazing. Today was our first time at Black Market, but Joes customer service was sublime and instantly made us loyal patrons. He has everything you need, and all the things you had no idea you needed. A secret gem that locals flock to, and tourists find sanctuary. Just a hop, skip, & a jump from Reading Market, it is easy to visit both these Philadelphia steeples on the same day.

First visit of what I expect will be many visits. Brian helped me with my purchases and he was friendly and knowledgeable. Prior to even entering the store John and Charlie answered many questions via Google Maps messaging. Their responses were quick and helpful. This location has a big selection of many products. They have a rewards program and are located in the heart of the city, although there are three locations in total. It takes me 5 minutes to walk to their Juniper store. I consider that the icing on the cake.12/4/2019. Edit needed to reinforce how awesome this place is. Charlie saved my life today. Personal service, close to home. Thank you, all!!

I bought an elfbar for $40, really disappointed to learn that they are usually $30 in Philadelphia : (The people there were nice, but paying an extra 25% more than other retailers in the city and seeing all of the reviews of inflated prices has me telling everyone I know to avoid there. I would come back again if they had lower prices, because their selection is good. Do not go here if you expect prices similar to others in the city.

I went to all 3 stores attempt to buy ecigs. I ended up buying 2 16 dollar ones for the first one to be gone in about 5 hours. Geesh, that would mean I didnt breathe H2O. I am very disappointed going back to 7-11 to purchase them from now on.

I walked-in and asked for hookah tobacco, and two store guys hooked me up so good, without any reason gave me discounts on 2 different fkavours, like 25% off, also gave me metal Tongs for free!!, they also have all kinds different charcoals. I can assure you that Holy Smokes is very fair and reasonable when it comes to listening to customer complaints and meeting their claims when they are factual and proven. I had a small qualm with the price on an item being slightly hire than I expected. I explained it to the staff and they gladly matched the price. It was professional and surprisingly easy to do. Im wondering if any of the negative reviewers even inquired about the price matching. Like my mother taught me, a closed mouth doesnt get fed! Dont complain about the price when you never spoke up and tried to negotiate! Now thats silly!

I just want to start off by saying this is the best smoke shop that I’ve ever been to I came into the store to purchase something that cost a dollar most stores if you’re only going to purchase something that cost a dollar you’re not able to use your debit Visa card I’m assuming that that was the same case at the store so instead of turning me away Wendy the sales clerk decided to give me the item free of charge I really appreciate that as this has never happened to me before and when I am in Philadelphia I will continue to come to the smoke shop specifically shout out to Wendy

I have been coming here for a little while now. I traveled to your store last night because it said open until 9:30 PM online. Well my travel time was an hour. Get to the store and it said closed on Sundays. You should update this online, so no one else is confused. Was pretty upset about it.Ok. I went to the North East Location and they hooked me up. So all is good. Love this place!!

Avoid. Staff was very helpful, and discussed a 30-day return policy, no questions asked. After I bought a $55 device, I looked it up online and found out it retailed everywhere else at $17.99. I then looked up other items I found there and saw that everything was at least double retail price. When I went back in to return my unopened merch, the staff nonchalantly informed me that they do not do returns except for manufacturers defect, completely contradicting the ladys sales pitch. Also, that even then, they offer only store credit, contradicting the printed receipt. When I told them why I was there, they rolled their eyes. As to other people’s reviews about them price-matching, I politely laid out the facts to a cashier and the manager, and was treated to rudeness.So yeah, garbage people. Go to any city bodega and get the same merch for 1/3 to 1/2 of the price.

I was just there this past weekend. The gentleman who helped me was awesome and really helped me out. I purchased the minifit alongside some really delicious juice since I wasnt sure what to get. I felt he was super informative and he even helped me fill the pod. I was using the Juul before and I am so happy I didnt get another Juul.

I went in there to get synthetic urine (quick fix) Bc I had a test the next day these guys made me feel confident that it would pass and it did!!! I would recommend them to anyone I will be going back to get cbd to celebrate! They also have good advice on products!

Great service. Knowledgeable staff. There are plenty of items to check for in this store. A little something for everyone (proper age, of course). From vapes to e-liquids (salt, or no salt), replacements and a slew of other items.I was traversing the smaller streets of downtown. I realized I hadnt visited this store in quite sometime. A man sat at the corner, asking for help. He began to laugh. I gave him a dollar. He stopped laughing. A rat ran by. The Dunkin Donuts was empty. Stay golden, pony boy.

Thanks for the warnings about inflated prices. And also about counter people misrepresenting the return policy. Store managers will always say “oh. I don’t know why so and so told you that put policy is “abc”, our policy is actually “Xyz”. Nothing more frustrating than misrepresentation.

Excellent diversity of goods and a pretty good selection in each category. CBD flower and herbal blends were both unique finds for Philly head shops and there is a vape tasting bar which wasnt my speed but very enticing. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly as well.

I purchase an electronic device which totaled $160. It died in two days. I tried to exchange it ( with the receipt). I dealt with the exact same salesperson. They said they couldn’t help me. I pointed out their 30 day electronic guarantee printed on the receipt. They told me to contact the manufacturer.

Sorry to post a negative review but this place has never helped me, not once in the 4 times Ive been there. They have never had any replacement parts I needed in a pinch and the staff seems pompous and rude. I would never recommend this place to a soul there are so many other places to go that are happy to accommodate you. No Stars

The store is in a great location just off of walnut street; but the one thing that makes this place special is the fantastic customer service. I previously only vaped using the njoy that I bought at wawa, however once the sale of flowered pods became illegal for some reason I needed to find an alternative. When I walked into the store I was nicely greeted by Bryan the manager who politely asked how he could help me and then preceded to answer all of my questions (and I had a ton of them) intelligently and confidently and was able to help me pick out a new vape and juice that is a great fit for me. Also while I was looking around the store I had the good fortune to talk to Jacob who was also very knowledgeable about the product and also told me the difference between the salt and juice vapes which really is going to help me out in the long run. I eventually picked out a vape that Jacob himself had used for 2 years so I knew I was getting a great product that wouldnt disappoint. If there was one downfall it was this, the store is in center city and therefore you had to pay center city prices. The vape I got was fairly priced but the juice I felt was pretty expensive ($27 for 50mgs) but I new I was getting quality stuff. When they were ringing me up they could tell that I was a little uneasy about the price and they both informed me that if I followed the shop on Instagram (@the__blackmarket) they would take off 5 bucks. It was such a nice thing to do as they capped off a truly perfect sales experience. Thanks so much Bryan and Jacob I know where I will be going for all of my future vape needs 💯💯.

I really like this place! They have so much there! Papers, wraps of all kinds and CBD oils for pain etc. And much more. They were so friendly, and didnt mind all my questions! Lol I ask a lot. You really gotta just stop on in and see for yourself! New name coming... Black Market!

Someone also mentioned this so ill second it. They have zero accountability. Nice as hell while your in the process of buying something but on two separate occasions post purchase i visited and called seeking help and left frustrated. First dont sell products that you know are used with content that is illegal in this state and then refuse to provide any assistance when the customer returns stating a defect. Second, if you pay with a credit card/debit card why are you refusing to service a device because i dont have the original receipt. Im almost positive you have the means to reconstitute the receipt from your POS system! Any other retailer which i have purchased products from via debit/credit card and later visited without a receipt did not have a policy that is clearly a calculated roadblock. Im disappointed in Holy Smokes. Holy Smokes thats horrible customer service is more like it.

Bought a NONFUNCTIONAL piece here, no hole in the stem of the mouthpiece im livid and wont be returning. Cashier was rude to my friend. Cant return the piece bc it broke in my bag before i got to my car.(which is how i found that theres no way i could have even used this pos) Save your money

The employees are always welcoming whenever I go in. I generally buy tobacco and tubes to roll my cigarettes, but when I was looking to by a vape or just looking around at what else they have, the staff proved to be as knowledgable as they are friendly. When I told them the limits on what I was looking to spend, instead of trying to push bigger ticket items on me, I was shown products in that range with their virtues and drawbacks explained. It is because of the customer service that I may go online to research products, but I go to Holy Smokes to buy them.

Comparable to any headshop/vape store in CC. Perhaps a little pricier, but the location is premium and the selection is good so I get it. However, they open on their own schedule, not the hours posted. They have opened 1+ hours late on 2 occasions when I planned to shop there. I know there are usually a couple of guys on site, but another time they were closed in the afternoon as if they all decided to take breaks at once. I know this sort of thing happens, but after a certain point its unacceptable. If youre within 6 blocks of 4 other vape stores, trust people will stop heading in that direction if they have no idea if youll be staffed and open.

If youre looking for a mod kit or some e-liquid of a popular brand name, coils for your kit, or a smile, look elsewhere. Very limited selection - like 2-3 in each category, house e-liquid flavors and a tasting bar (which charges via kiosk, when its online) but their stock differs from the kiosk flavors significantly. Never see anyone at the counter in the vaping part of store and seems like Im annoying them to ask for assistance. Lastly, out of desperation one day I bought a wildly overpriced compact mod and the next day it literally was falling apart as the casing screws came loose and were lost. They wouldnt replace, refund, or call the manufacturer to get a set of screws!

I had the same exact problem as others reviewers. I bought a ugo twist vaporizer pen that cost like $38. I was told at checkout about a 30 return policy on electronic devices. I went and checked the price of the device I bought in other shops and it was priced around $10! I looked online and it was literally $2.50! I tried to return and got some BS on why they couldnt take it back. Holy smokes prices are absurd. This place is a total rip off. Avoid at all cost.

Terrible! This is by far the highest priced store for juice in the city. $20 for 30ml house brand. Staff is very confrontational and always try to upsell something you don’t need. Manager is unprofessional and confrontational. No wonder why they always have a help wanted sign.

I went there today looking to buy juice. My regular juice (brain freeze by naked) was 38$ which is 10$ more than I regularly pay. I walked out buying a Mr. Bald T 2-1 dry herb vaporizer tank. I set it all up on my realux and turned the wats down to the recommended wattage. I came home wanted to relax enjoy my new vape and it worked for about 2 minutes not even. Lets just say it was not relaxing. I have multiple mods and on all 5 of them it kept reading no atomizer. I finally called the store and the guy I talked to seemed absolutely clueless, and told me the only thing they can do is send it back to the manufactor to get diagnostics done. I spent 40$ on this and Im not happy about the fact that it didnt even work for 5 minutes. Ill be returning to get a replacement or my money back, and probably not again, unless I need a pipe or bong. They do have an awesome selection of that. Hence the 2 stars. It should be one. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Went to go buy some cores and some e-liquid that my homie suggested and I bought it and it taste like nothing cinnamon roll white label premium e-liquid I called the store to ask for an exchange and they told me theres no exchange or return policy worst place ever never going back. I deal with retailers from CA to PA and everywhere in between... Holy Smokes is a top tier operation. Their crew is always ready to unload and the check is always waiting. I am their supplier of Hemp Iced Tea and Terpenes. Need more people like Frank and the gang is this industry.

Please save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere. I recomend vadordelphia or phillyvapes. I never mind paying a bit more to have something right away but they do charge a little too ouch extra than most other stores in the city. 25-33% more. My experience involved buying “premium e-liquid” and it tasted like nothing. All it did was burn out my coils and lack any flavor. After a few attempts to fix it, switch to my other fluid from vapordelphia and it works just fine. So it’s definitely not my vape or the coils. It’s their juice. Not the best stuff. And now I’m out $60 some odd bucks. No refunds (understandable) or exchanges. An exchange shouldn’t be an issue. Any well reputable vape shop will always work with you. This place... Once you buy, you’re screwed if anything is wrong with your purchase. I can’t speak for non vape related products. But good luck!
