Great ski in ski out location, customers service were outstanding. However hotel itself is very outdated. Restaurants on the premises were very good with excellent service and disant food (nothing fancy). Also breakfast portions are good with little bit high prices so epic 20% discount helps a little bit.Rooms prices are good when using epic discounts other wise it is high.
Great location & access to slopes, great outdoor pool & hot tubs, easy valet so no need to worry about parking. Rooms are basic but have what you need & the conveniences make for a great ski trip!
Great slopeside location. Staff was friendly and responsive. Our room should have been cleaned more thoroughly. Found a pretzel under the table and a few pieces of Granola on the carpet
I absolutely love mt snow. Me and my family go at least 4-6 times per year. I love how you can walk to the lifts. The rooms are not fancy enough for the cost, but I guess you are paying for the location. I never gone bad reviews at all, but the restaurant service is absolutely terrible. Not just the last time, but every time we go. The last time I asked the host for a table at 630 pm He told be to come back in 45 min. There was a million on tables it was a Tuesday, and the restaurant was dead. I said can we sit at the bar he said no. I asked the bartender he said yes. Then the host talked to the bartender then he informed me the food would take 45 min. I said ok can you take my number, and call me when the food is really we will take it man to the room. I received no call after an hour I went down he said its still not ready. So we decided to wait another 30 min and still nothing so we left and went to another local restaurant 5 min down the street. Mind you they only cook sandwiches, apps, and salads during the week. They finally called me at 9pm when the food was ready. If you visit go to another local restaurant try TCS family restaurant they were amazing.
Used the spa after skiing here, Rocky treated us to a 5 star hotel experience, chauffeuring generously and gracious, when we simply asked for directions, service 2nd to none, what a pleasant surprise when we werent sure where to go. Thank you Rocky and kudos also to the spa staff and generous organic botanicals, loved the outdoor heated pool experience!!!!
Fantastic resort, although when Grand Summit or Bluebird lifts go down, lines jump to at least an hour.
If you are skiing at Mount Snow, you cant beat this location. While not true ski-in/ski-out, very close to it. The rooms/property are a little dated, but all perfectly fine. Valet parking is great and very attentive. On site dining can be variable depending on how busy the resort is.
We were in Vermont for the Wine Makers International Amateur Wine Competition. What a fun time. Plan on doing it again.
Went here to snowboard for a day, was too advanced for me however... I went down one time and told them. They offered a full refund. The staff is very friendly and understanding. The lodge is nice too 😂
Beautiful spot. Rooms were clean, front desk welcoming. There is a sauna, a hot tub and a lovely pool, so bring your suit. No microwave or frig in the basic rooms. Absolutely recommend.
Writing a review because I was taken aback from the wonderful warm hospitality we received! All staff were in such uppidity joyous moods. It was warmly felt! The hotel is situated great. It’s close to Dover restaurants, cute Wilmington and the Harriman Reservoir. We also met really cool couples hanging by the pool. Some were owners. So all in all, going to look to stay here all the seasons!
Great place to stay right next to slopes. Prefect place when attending a conference or seminar. Rooms with a kitchenette are a wonderful convenience. SKI valet real nice amenity. Parking ??
Great ski on and ski off for Mount Snow. Rooms are nice just wish there were more dining options
Nice location next to Mt. Snow. Convenient equipment storage at the back of the hotel. Very small parking lot for guests. Restaurants arent all open. Had fun, but probably wouldnt stay here again.
I was fortunate to get a large queen in a studio apartment style setting. My room had a really big bathroom, a refrigerator, a stove, coffee pot, USB plugs, and a great view out the back window. I went up in July and I had the whole place to myself I was the only one at the pool. I was the only one in the sauna, and I loved it I’m sure it’s packed in the winter, but it was lovely in the summer.
Rooms are great and equipped with a cute kitchen. I wish they had cooking/ cutting knife 🔪 that actually work ( requires manpower to chop veggies or meat). Mu family has allergies so i cook when i can. I loved the kitchen component just wished it had a few things like non stick cooking pots, and 1 blender for each floor. Those 3 items missing frustrated my cooking but i made do. I wish housekeeping was more than once a week tho. We stayed for 5 nights with no housekeeping. The pool, hot tub, fire place were our favorite . Clean bathrooms, awesome teatree soaps for bathing. Itll be nice to have at least 1 commercial sz laundry room for guests use. The kind that takes coins. We had to drive 17miles to dollar general for laundry. Not a lot of variety for breakfast as well. Would be nice if breakfast was part of the stay. Otherwise we love it and come every other year. Love the ski lift too tho opened only on weekends. Will definitely recommend here.
Rooms are ok but the location and ease is what will bring us back.
Awesome place for downhill mountain biking. Lot of mote moderate trails.Better for skiing. The resort is amazing. Heated pool, game room for the kids, free coffee in the am. Polite staff members. Love that they cater to families, quiet time from 10pm to 8am.We will definitely be back.Heather from Cape Cod MA
You guys should review your refund policy. During the season AKA winter, you charge $500 for rooms while in May the same room goes for $125. Also, no refunds in winter while in summer - no problem. Why the difference? Because of the location right under the mountain ski in-out experience. But when its an anomaly and summer comes in winter, it takes away this ski portion of the price and makes the whole stay miserable. Were leaving early because of that. I stopped by the front desk to ask if they would be so kind to move a night of our stay towards the next time (not asking for a refund, just move my night!). This means that I assume there will be another time and since were staying a minimum of 3 nights, (prefer 4-5) - we will bring more business to the hotel at least by paying for additional nights. The guy looked at me like Im harassing him and replied were not doing anything. Not even a little sorry in it.
I stayed during my birthday weekend and it was a great trip with amazing views. The staff at the front desk, along with the shuttle driver, were kind and very helpful. Only thing I would say is to make sure you ask if trails are completely open. We took the shuttle up the top and decided to take the Long John trail to walk down back to the hotel. It was open unlike other trails that were clearly marked off with orange tape and signs. Midway down the trail, we noticed it was closed off for construction and the only other trails down from that point were experienced trails and one other bike trail. We decided on the bike trail which lead us to Carinthia ski area a mile down the road from the hotel and we had to walk the residential street to get back. We saw a worker along the trail and asked how long the walk usually is and it wouldve been nice if we were told the trail would be closed up ahead. That was the only complaint though!
We just stayed at the grand summit this weekend for a birthday weekend of skiing. The towels were crispy white and clean, the coffee quality in the room was superb and organic, the toiletry products were all high quality. The service in the hotel was wonderful, the restaurant staff was super pleasant. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice after skiing and the food was delicious. The skiing was quite nice even though not the whole mountain is open as of yet but a lot of it is. The lodge does offer indoor dining and you do need to show your vaccination card. There are protocols to follow to keep everyone safe, reservations are require to eat lunch at the lodge but it was not hard to get there without reservations and get a table. You are allowed to be at the table for 45 minutes. There is the usual chicken, fries, pizza and waffles outside and outdoor sitting. There are enough trails open to get our ski season started. We have been here for three days and it has def been a great experience.
Excellent experience. We went during mud season so there was a lot closed in the area and the restaurant at the resort was closed as well and I wish there was some indication of that online but besides from that the staff truly makes this place what it is. An incredible group of people that are full of local knowledge and are super helpful with any questions or concerns we had about the resort. My only critique is to be a little bit more transparent about what is open and what is operating at a fraction of what it usually does I wish the store was open and the cafe was better stocked but at the same time we were one of 20 guests there so I get it just wish that was made more aware online either on their website or third party platforms. But I literally cannot speak highly enough about their stuff they made the trip
I visited in the off-season, so I wasnt expecting it to be as bustling as it was. Unexpected balcony! Window opens onto neighbors balcony 😐Floors are oddly squishy (very quiet) and lend a sense of vertigo in the insanely long hallways. Mattress was uncomfortably soft, like it was old and not designed to be soft. My back is still recovering.Staff was fantastic! Im sure the heated pool is amazing in the winter. In the summer, it was not a refreshing swim.Hotel restaurant was skeleton crew so we only bothered with it once. Close to W. Dover and Wilmington, so no great loss. The staff made the stay.
Absolutely love it! We got a deluxe studio with murphy bed, pull out couch and kitchenette... perfect for the whole family! Beautiful and heated outdoor pool ad stunning surroundings for a walk, hike or bike ride.
The room was fine. But when I arrived, my reservation (through hotels.com) was not listed in their books despite my showing them my confirmation. They provided me with a room nevertheless, which was kind. However, they said they’d resolve the matter as far as room rates go by the time of my check-out. When I checked out the next morning, the desk person said the room was $X but my hotels.com rate of $X-50 would show up on my credit card. When my card was charged, it was for the full rate. Then, I emailed the hotel asking them for a resolution before I wrote a review. They never replied. It’s been nearly two weeks since my stay in late June 2022. Hence, my critical review of their service — or lack thereof.
We were looking for a nice ski-in/ski-out hotel in New England so that I could take my toddler out for her first turns within view of my wife and newborn. Mount Snow was great and the Grand Summit Hotel was perfect. We loved the proximity to the slopes, the room, the pool and the video game arcade. Also the staff was wonderful, especially Lisa and Kyle who were very helpful! Thanks again for a great vacation.
The good: Wi-Fi is great. Rooms are okay. Outdoor spa/pool is nice. Ski in/ski out awesome. Mountain itself is pretty good. Now the bad: literally no place to have breakfast in a HUGE hotel except for something they call a deli but which in reality looks like your kids are playing make believe at a bodega. In a hotel FULL of kids, they don’t even have milk. It is seriously laughable. For dinner no place to EAT aside from one restaurant in the hotel. Which is fine you say since you can leave the property right? You have to wait 30 mins to get your car from the valet then you go to one of the like five restaurants they have along Route 100 which all have 2-3 hour waits. So despite all the great things about this hotel, ONLY come if you get a room with a kitchenette and you are willing to make most of your meals. If so, great place. If not, Dover is horrible for a holiday. Plus I mentioned how great the wifi is at the hotel. Use it when you’re here because there is literally NO Verizon service the moment you step off property nor do ANY of the restaurants provide Wi-Fi. Seriously backwards place when it comes to telecommunications.
I mostly come for the amenities. I enjoy the Gym, pool and hot tubs mountain side. I am looking forward to trying Harrimans with new management
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby. Seating areas at various places throughout hotel. Did not visit attached restaurant but menu looked great. A little pricey ,but real food. The rooms are nice ,seating is comfortable. There was a little coffee bar set up. Small kitchen area. A little bit of cabinet space for groceries. The windows are all on one side so not much of a cross breeze for the room. We had an issue with the air conditioner the first day. The maintenance person came up within a few minutes and it was fixed.
Hotel is dated. Carpeting was puckered in several places in the room. It was clean, but the heat/AC was a little tricky to get right. The temp control in the shower wasnt great. Took a LONG time for the water to go from just warm to hot.
Stayed there for the first time this year when I attended the Minus Zero festival. The place was great! The room the rooms had a modern yet nostalgic feel to them. The property managers were very nice and friendly. Of course, I cannot fully put into words the view from the balcony. An overall great experience. One that I plan on doing again as well as encouraging others to.
Great location. Outdoor pool and hot tub. Accommodations are fine. Good place to stay when staying a long weekend. We always have fun. Always get the impression that they can do more to improve accommodations. Seems like the ownership would rather stuff their pockets than improve the facility. That said, it is still a great location w clean rooms and will definitely stay there again.
Website description is very misleading, the front desk doesn’t know much about the property, when we encountered issues including our room being offsite and not as described in our booking, it was impossible to reach anyone for help. I sent 3 emails, called in a few times, I was even transferred to the GM twice and I left voicemails with no call back. Place is pretty dirty their sauna and jacuzzi are disgusting make sure to bring sandals so you don’t have to walk barefoot in the jacuzzi / pool area. Book elsewhere these people could care less about their guests.
This is by far the best place to stay at while visiting Mount Snow. Ski in/out, a great staff, heated pool, hot tub and sauna are the things I like best. The restaurant and deli also have surprisingly good food.
The entire staff were so friendly and the hotel was very clean. Located so conveniently close to the mountain and the views were wonderful. The balcony on the rooms were a plus especially overlooking the mountain.
Definitely location is the best possible in the area. Ski in and out very easily. Self parking is very limited and valet is complimentary but poorly managed. We got a recently renovated studio with new appliances, comfortable bed and lots of room, very happy with our accommodations. The hotel common areas could use a touch-up and a more relaxing environment. Lobby (by the fireplace) is often crowded and loud, and the door is almost permanently open, letting cold air inside. Overall good experience, especially for its convenience for skiing.
1. The rooms are pretty old but ok to live, rooms do not smell, but does need a modernization.2. the location is unbeatable right off the slopes3. Mount snow is one of the best east coast ski getaways for family skiing. The mount is wide and allows beginners and intermediate skiers to practice and perfect their skills.
Great Venue! The view of the mountain backdrop was stunning, and we were lucky enough to have a beautiful summer day. I appreciated their selection of vendors, as I was able to get street tacos and other cool stuff as opposed to your typical Burgers and Fries. I specifically noticed how well put together security was and how well they handled the crowds of people. I interacted with two security guards, who were both helpful and professional, and didnt give me the the bouncer vibe. I had a great time here and would recommend this venue to anyone!
Have had a great time. Great amenities and things to do. If you love the outdoors this is the place to be. The mountain view is spectacular. Food though is questionable at the Harrimens. My wife has had a bad stomach for the day from the pasta dish. My chicken dinner was not cooked thoroughly asparagus was over cooked to burnt. The Nature spa deep tissue massages for my wife and I (couples massage)was incredible.
So much noise! Between hearing people next door, the clunking sounds of ski boots up and down the hallway and herds of kids running up and down the hall for hours and I mean hours (no one came to address) , made it difficult to relax. But the hotel is perfectly situated at the base of the mountain, with great amenities . Loved not having to carry ski stuff to the lodge and skiing right in for lunch and sitting by the fire pit.We had a problem with our unit at check in and the staff was SUPER responsive to make things right for us. Thank you !We enjoyed our stay but wish the noise levels could be addressed.
Front desk unable to resolve overbilling on check in. Condo was a weird mix of renovated and non renovated areas. Bed was a rock, hot water heater that provides heat and hot water kept erroring out. Maintenance needs to keep a better eye on the units and the rental unit standards for units need to bring up quality.
I have been coming to Mount Snow for years and usually stay at the Summit Lodge. Its incredibly easy in and out, the staff is fantastic, the restaurant is great and the rooms are cozy. The trails at Mount Snow are excellent. The lifts are great (the bluebird will get you to the top in 10 minutes or so). If you are looking for a pretentious fashion show, by all means bypass Mount Snow and head over to Stratton. If you simply enjoy great skiing in a very laid-back scene, try this place.
Hotel is fine.Service is horrible, good luck getting a maid to clean your room, and restaurant is next to impossible to get a reservation. The hotel doesn’t seem to care or willing to help.Apparently Vail resorts has not figured out how to run resorts on the east coast.Outdoor pool is nice :)
The room was amazing. We got a studio and it was great for 2 people. We stayed in and cooked one night and there was everything we needed to make steak and veggies (besides the groceries). The hot tub and pool were great after a long day skiing.
Always friendly and helpful, great massage & facial therapists who are very therapeutic. Great for sore muscles after a day of skiing ❄️ 🛷⛷️
My fiancee and I attended a wedding and stayed here overnight. The room we stayed had a small kitchenette and included basic supplies for cooking. Not that we were going to use any of them but next time if I planned to stay here longer, I know have an option to make something. Staff was overall welcoming. The decor of the place looked average.
I enjoyed our stay!! Friendly staff and perfect location!! Being able to ski 10 feet out the backdoor of the hotel is amazing!! It is an Older hotel that has been upgraded. The kitchenette was brand new with granite. Everything was very, very clean! The Murphy bed was ok. The room was very toasty but I sleep with it very cool and it was hard to get the tempature down low enough, we ended up opening the balcony door! Overall would definitely come back!
The rooms and hotel are pretty good and the location if you are going skiing is great
Decent mountain and prices, but dangerous shuttle driver who almost ran over our son and was rude. Group ticket sales on the opposite side of resort as ski rentals making for a long exhaustive walk. The ski school/rentals are incompetent at giving direction or managing lessons with afternoon rentals (as lessons include). Long lines, crowded and over priced food/drink (typical for resorts). There were some nice aspects like free bag check and ski check. Some people were very nice and helpful. Overall the experience was sub-par considering all the issues.
This mountain is great for skiing terrain. It has it all from easy bunny hills to steep bumpy diamonds. The variety is what sells it for me. There is also a lift with a wind cover which is pretty unique and luxurious. Also the terrain park section of the mountain is massive, if youre looking for real rails, and jumps, this is the place to go. This mountain is real nice.
I used to love mount snow as a kid.. and Pre COVID we would stay here various points during the season. Despite the rooms being outdated and needing some love they always made up with it in service. Things have changed quite a bit. No microwave in the room, a coffee pot from the dark ages and no fridge means you cannot bring your own food. The deli closes at 11am so no lunch in the hotel. The main lodge waits for food mid-day were outrageous and there were no reservations available. The person at the front of Harrimans(the restaurant in the hotel) is unaccommodating, rude and almost seems to take pleasure in telling you they cannot do any takeout orders and have no room for reservations despite speaking with him shortly after opening. I spoke to the front desk and he advised me of 2 possible deliveries who upon calling had a 3+ hour wait, they werent even sure how long it would take. Being unable to get a reservation anywhere within driving distance on a Saturday night is infuriating. The icing on the cake was a very belligerent drunk guy at 12pm noon on a Saturday making it from outside, through the lobby and passed out in front of my room on the third floor with his pants down for my wife and child to see for about an hour despite being reported. I wouldnt stay here again, and cannot suggest anyone else does unless something changes.
Stayed a week during the summer so ignore this review if youre looking for a winter stay review. Summer isnt their peak season so there isnt that much to do outside of hiking and biking (both of which werent very interesting admittedly). The resort itself is very nice with rooms being very spacious and comfortable. Service is good and, overall, is a nice place to get away and relax in a bucolic sort of area. If youre capable, try hiking up to the bullwheel for a beer tasting/pairing session and a really nice elevated view of the surrounding areas. Theres a also a lift up and down if youre not into the hike.
Love Mt Snow! Great family mountain. Friendly staff.Only complaints are with the lifts. Lines can get clogged, you can wait 20-30 minutes at bluebird. And they closed at least one lift at 3. Their snow report had them all open until 4. I would have changed my last few runs had I known. Hope the snow keeps falling this spring! Ill be there through April.
Great resort. Was there for a one week (Sat noon to Fri morning) Gordon Research Conference. Rooms were large and clean, AC was functional, and I hiked up to Mt. Snow, played volleyball, went on a hike and swam in the pool, went on another hike through the forest, and went horseback riding through a trail. Great food, too.
Really enjoyed Skiing Mt Snow. There are lots of trails that were very well marked and maintained, and the lift lines move quickly, so even when the mountain is crowded you will get back on the slops fairly quickly. My last trip the the mountain was rained out but with the snow guarantee we were allowed to come back another day which is a plus. Would recommend coming here to anyone.
I went for a wedding last weekend and just be aware of their door handle/key system is broken. Myself along with 3 other people had our belongings in the room (including the bride) and we were locked out for three hours. The bride had to wear pajamas at the hotel bar after-hours party. Then we got locked out once again. I made about four trips to get new keys (from the 3rd floor). I ended up putting the door stopper in the rest of the night risking the belongings in my room. The front desk people and the security guy had major attitudes about it. They did not believe the keys did not work until the security guy finally showed up and said: This isnt good after speed walking away from me because he was inconvenienced. They had to wait for someone who knew how to use the tool to get in to show up. The fact that I was accused of lying as well as nobody seemed apologetic about it is ridiculous. Not the way I was expecting to get treated like this in a hotel where I paid $320 a night.
ZERO REFUND ZERO REBOOKING ZERO POLICY AROUND COVID. Read the fine print. They charge you in full beforehand. Part of my family got COVID a few days before our trip and we can’t travel to the hotel since we are quarantining from each other. They won’t refund me a cent or offer a credit towards a future stay. It feels like $4,000 has been stolen from us
My family had a great time at Mount Snow. The facilities and food were wonderful. My kids, age 7 and 4, were enrolled in the group classes, and they really enjoyed them. And it didnt hurt that when we went,18 inches of fresh powder had just fallen! Id definitely recommend this resort for families, especially those in the NY/NJ area who want a taste of Vermont skiing, since its in the south and a bit less of a drive.
Cool resort with fast lifts and nice benches to strap in. I wasnt too impressed with their artificial snow quality. They did a good job pumping it out but the feel of it was below that of other artificial snow. Man made snow stinks anyways so 5 starts based on everything else.
Overall this place is my favorite place to stay while visiting the mountain. Great amenities including, valet parking, ski check, outdoor pool and hot tubs, spa, and gym. It feels a little old overall and is due for a renovation but unfortunately that will probably mean the prices will go up. Right now it is a pretty good value. The restaurant downstairs, Harrimans is pretty good but overpriced. Unfortunately this is your only option for dinner at the hotel.
Stayed there in winter of 2015 in a 2BR(room 344/346) and our family had a great time. Very convenient - valet my car and skis upon arrival and didnt touch the car until departure. Skis are provided at slop side (cant get any lazier). The restaurant in the resort is pretty good for breakfast and dinner and there is also a market/deli on main floor. There are also a few good restaurants within 3 miles of resort. Kids loved the Jacuzzi and pool. Unlike some of the other resorts we stay at, this does not have a movie theatre within. The back patio has a fireplace and barbeque if youd like to cook & eat(defeats the vacation aspect but whatever makes you happy). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Check-in a little later than most resorts, therefore pack accordingly on your day of arrival. The mountain has good terrains and the lift lines are decent, provided that you dont ride the Blue Bird lift. There is also a tubing park out back - we didnt realize until departure.
Beautiful mountain with great trails but this time of year there are many people coming up for the weekend. Though Im not a very experienced skier there were many trails for all skill levels. Yet the lodge
The hotel has a separate conference room area and I was there for a conference and not skiing. The hotel is setup for walkout slope side skiing, but there is a pool, workout room and activities for warmer weather. The hotel is showing some age and has been there for a while. Hotel front parking is limited and once filled you need to use valet parking since the larger lots are at the bottom of a steep hill, this makes vehicle access slightly difficult if you want to go into the town. The room, food and services for my 2 day conference stay in mid April were very good. I would not consider the rooms luxury, but they do have a small balcony and are fine if you dont plan on staying in the room most of the day as a small writing desk and chair were not available. My room had 2 opposing beds, a soft chair and a TV and coffee maker on a dresser on the side wall, a strange configuration that made TV viewing from the beds difficult, but I was there for a conference and spent little time in the room. Since I was not skiing I cannot comment on any of the skier services at the hotel, but the ski area was still open for another week of skiing with skiers being shuttled from the hotel to the various open ski lifts.
The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and practical. The location is tremendous. Great ski on ski off location. Ski check building is very convenient. Highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful facility and pleasant staff. We just held our annual gaming convention here for the first time. It went great! Very happy with this venue, even with all the COVID restrictions.
Great mountain. I stayed up the road but the shuttles that come to the parking lot were great. There are multiple lounges to get food which is nice. The first day we just did the find your own seat in a mob of people thing for lunch. The second day we went to the main Basecamp lounge and had waiter service. Definitely the way to go. Lift tickets were pricey but I got a great discount by joining the ride app online. You just have to pick up the cheap tickets by Sundance lodge guest services. ( Kind of annoying to get to) Had a great time. Will definitely go again.
A nice, newer hotel that is right off the mountain, on the other side of the tubing hill. Nice lobby and restaurant with good food. Its expensive, especially during busy season. The hotel staff is friendly, engaging and helpful. My only major beef is there is no bar. Really?? A ski lodge with no bar is dumbfounding and a huge miss on their part. Good thing there are plenty of places with good food and drink very close by.
Rooms are clean and well kept, including nice coffee maker and a small balcony off our room. The meeting halls for our conference were nice, well set up, and didnt seem to have any problems with a large group event.
Excellent spa experience! Annie gave me the perfect facial for my sensitive skin. The atmosphere, both while waiting and during, was relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend trying this spa on your next ski vacation at Mt. Snow!
Stayed here twice because of terrible experiences with other motels and Airbnb. They always accommodated for our late notice. Can’t beat the loacation of having your room right next to the lift. Huge perk of leaving your gear in storage for the next day and the free breakfast in the morning is always great.
Going right now during this Vail disaster on a winter weekend is a massive waste. I feel so bad for the staff who are trying to do what they love. It was an absolute mess and to none of their faults. Large Corp cant run a ski resort like this. What a vailure.
Aweful booked a family block and was separated. Not just down the hall but to a different area completely. Where we had to drive to get to. The place was 1. More expensive 2. Had no coffee inside for the morning 3. The bedding was stained disgusting 4. Impossible to get a fire going. Just a very disappointing trip. We wefe supposed to be with family and we couldnt spend time with them or see them without driving and figuring out parking at the main hotel. Would not recommend.
All around beautiful!! The rooms, facilities, pool areas, restaurant, etc. Will absolutely recommend and even return if we are able to again one day. Definitely didnt want to leave!!
Absolutely beautiful friendly and welcoming place! Great for those interested in skiing. Also has reasonable restaurant and bar. Awesome views! Friendly informative staff with plenty of knowledge of the area and resort.
Took ski lessons with Paul and learned a good amount while having a great time. Did some runs on the small slopes and had a great experience. We grabbed lunch at the Tap Station. It was really crowded and took forever to get our food but it was good and were able to have beers while we waited.
Mount Snow was excellent and a grand time. Although we did not stay overnight in the resort itself we did ski for two days and the service was great. Everything was pleasant and easily understandable. We will definitely be back
Quite crowded and staff seemed miserable to be at work. I went with my 3yr old twins and wanted to try tubing. I wasnt sure if they would be scared and the employee at the ticket booth told me to give it a try and come right back if they didnt like it. She told me she would refund the $40 combined cost of their two tickets. Never made it down the hill once because they were crying. Staff at the top of the hill was impatient and rolling their eyes after less than 30seconds of me trying to encourage the kids. Went back and was told by the same person that I had to go to customer service to ASK for a refund. Customer service gave me one $20 voucher as a refund. Lets be honest, that is $hitty customer service all around. I wont be back and I wont recommend it to anyone else either. Gave the voucher to another family on my way out.
My go to place for snowboarding up in VT. I
Beautiful resort. Excellent staff. Pricey, but worth the money. Recently renovated workout room and showers. Beautiful heated pool and hottubs. Morning deli and evening restaurant - both with high prices but excellent, fresh food. Top notch bartenders.
We are staying in the base Lodge with excellent proximity to the slopes. The ski valet is much appreciated as are the friendly staff. Book with a customer rep rather than online because you can get a better deal that way.
Great place to ride. Lift lines are long on weekends.
Great slopeside hotel. A short walk to the blue mountain express lift. Room was clean and comfortable beds. Only issue is parking
Had the best time here. If you want to roll out of bed and get in the lift, stay here. Good views of the mountain and easy access to everything. The ski shops and restaurants in town are barely 5 minutes away.
I stayed at one of the other Mount Snow hotels nearby, but went with my family one night to enjoy their outdoor hot tub and heated pool. It was very nice and well kept. Same goes for the locker rooms, sauna, lobby, and fitness center.
Good skiing at Mt. Snow with much packed powder. The lesser traversed trails, as I realized after I took the road less traveled, were a bit icy. Overall, Sundance Lodge was warm and accommodating. The sun shone brighter in the afternoon and the temperature warmed and the runs were plentiful and fun. Long John takes the cake.
Awesome place for families, couples, groups..etc snowboarding , snow tubing , and skiing on site. Shops and restaurants are on site as well. The staff at the place is friendly and welcoming.
It was ok. Theres wasnt any real snow when I went so I cant provide an objective review. There were only about 50 trails open. In one day 3 lifts had mechanical problems. Trails are relatively easy, I enjoyed the terrain park though.
The spa at the resort was fantastic. Went with a few girlfriends. Setup everything in advance so it was quick and easy. So clean and such an incredible and friendly staff. High recommend the massages.
I live locally, I use forAmenities which are great. I’ve never had an issue, very clean and hospitable
Mount Snow is a great family mountain. The skiing is as good as youre gonna get in the area - great snow making and good work grooming (and not grooming when they can!). The owners continue to put more money into the resort every year. Get another high speed chair in Sunbrook and the North Face! Trails for all levels; good clinics for kids and adults. Good beers on tap. Not sure theres much else you need.
It has become an annual tradition to go to Oktoberfest at Mount Snow with a group of friends. This year we booked a “suite with a Mountain View” that slept 7 through Mount Snow’s website as a package with our Oktoberfest tickets. When we booked it, it said our suite was 100 yards from the event. We obviously assumed this meant Grand Summit. After the event was over, we went to check in to our room. The man at the front desk informed us that our suite was not at the Grand Summit but at the Lodge at Mount Snow. A little confused we left and went to this location down the road (not 100 yards) There was no one at the desk and our room key was sitting for us at the counter. We entered our room to see JUST one queen bed. When we tried to contact (by calling and going in person) to Mount Snow to try to get this obvious mistake figured out, the staff and manager were EXTREMELY condescending and rude. They told us they were not affiliated with the lodge at mount snow. And even though we bought our room through them, they could not help us. After reaching a point of frustration talking to incompetent people for almost two hours, the man working at the Lodge at Mount Snow found us a new place to stay. What used to be a great tradition for a group of friends who rarely see each other, turned out to be a very disappointing ending and I will never return to Mount Snow again. Horrible customer service and no desire to fix a mistake they clearly made.
Wen for snowboarding and had a blast! The trails are well groomed and the lift is pretty quick bringing you up... No gondola but a fast 6 person bubble lift... This place also blows snow in case of no snowfalls...
Attended a conference at the resort. Rooms were very nicely set up with more than enough space and amenities that I could need during the time here. Location is beautiful, though parking is down a huge hill and my room happened to look down on it.
While I had an overall good experience with my group I did not enjoy my lesson. There were 10 of us and 1 instructor. To be honest he seemed overwhelmed. There was no guidance for putting on equipment...it was not my first time so I was able to help someone else. If you want a great first lesson I suggest Killington because they have a very organized lesson system.
We stayed outside of peak season when most everything in the area was closed. The resort is still very nice and we made use of the pool. Only complaint is that the room was uncomfortably hot even though our heat was turned completely off. We had to open the window even though it was very cold outside.
Great housing for families to ski. Great mountain, good skiing. Lines can be very clogged during weekends and holidays. Slopes can be icy if conditions call for. Overall, great skiing and great housing. 9/10
A weekend of Skiing at Mt Snow wasnt as great as we anticipated. We spent more time waiting in lines to get on the lifts than we did skiing. The mountain itself was a little icy, and the trails could have been marked better. It was a good mountain to ski, but wasnt as nice as I expected for the price.
If you are considering skiing with 5 & 6 year olds, this is the place!I signed my family members up with ease. Paperwork includes the usual-- name and emergency contact info. Jot down the childrens height, weight youll need that as well. The employees are terrific! Skis were fitted without my help (thank you) lunch and snacks cheerily offered. The kids actually learned to ski!Mr. Snow is family friendly all the way around. Go, youll love it!
Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Lots to do just on the grounds and pretty central location in southern vermont right off of Rt 100. Rooms are nice and clean and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Right at the foot of the mountain, the hotel has good service, clean rooms, and lots of fun. We did the hiking trail right outside the back, and had lunch at the cafe at the top of the mountain. The lift ride was nice too.
Mount snow is awesome! The hotel is right on the mountain so getting up early to hit the slopes is easy. The restraint downstairs is pricey but you can just cook your own food.
Sounds like a frat house. The walls are so thin, and people party all night in their rooms. If you dont need sleep, this is the place for you to stay. Very expensive for not such a great place. I would never stay here again.
Really fun skiing and the outdoor pool is great! Restaurant could use some work though, service was slow occasionally and it could use some better lighting. Overall a great experience, will be back!
12/2/18 I dont like having a coffee maker on my night stand next to my bed and the heat wasnt working! They did give me an apology which equals ZERO!!!! First time staying here....NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!12/5 Just reviewed my credit card bill and saw they charged my by mistake which I got another I am sorry which equals WORST SERVICE!You are better off staying staying at a motel for the price and service you receive.
The Mount Snow Grand Summit Resort saved my honeymoon. We had an issue with a booking at another location and had to leave there. The Grand Summit staff helped us transition relatively painfree. The rooms here are beautiful, the staff is attentive and quick to respond. There are also plenty of dining options and things to do at the resort itself. Anyone coming to Mount Snow owes it to themselves to stay at the Grand Summit Resort.
I wouldve preferred higher end rooms for the price.. I had paint peeling in the shower area. The best part was how close to the mountain the room was .
The rooms here are wonderful. They are incredibly spacious and well taken care of. The service is friendly and accommodating. I felt very welcomed and well received. We had a great time.
Not quite ready for prime time. We went there on a discount day. It was packed. They printed the wrong date on my daughters pass, I had to go wait in line all over again to fix it. Quite ridiculous considering it was their mistake and everyone else in my family had the correct date. Though they smile and try to be pleasant, they are really not helpful staff and I lost another 45 mins of skiing thanks to their snafu as they wouldnt let her on the lift. No attempt was made to make it right. They were also checking tickets all day on a $12 ticket day, causing long delays. They also told everyone they were opening another lift, got everyone lined up, then waited 30 mins to open it. The slopes are nice but the service was quite clunky.
Hotel is on the skiing mountain at the steps of a skiing lift. Rooms are like studio appartments with full kitchens.Family oriented place. Has delicious included breakfastbuffet.great staff. Yoga included free and other fitness classes everyday. Includes a spa. Heated outside pool.jacuzzi. Gym. Sauna, steam room. Its not a fancy hotel but clean and friendly for families that love to ski.
Not a fancy place but the pool is amazing, the staff is outstanding, and the accessibility to the resort cant be beaten. I am looking forward to returning.
Mt. Snow is a fantastic mountain with a plethora of trails for skier and snowboarders of all ability levels. The grand summit resort is a premier location at the mountain, and is an excellent option to be adjacent the mountain and stay in style. Everything is clean and well maintained.
Stayed for the weekend, and had a wonderful time. Great staff, and food. Unfortunately it was too early in the season for those perfect skiing conditions. Would definitely come back.
I loved this mountain. Best ski slopes ever... theyre challenging and fast.. always soft but pounded snow great for snowboarding and skiing... 10 stars.. groupon has the best prices for lift tickets..
The hotel and amenities were good. Parking was a disaster. The hotel has done away with Valet parking and instituted a shuttle service. The old system was much better.
This is a beautiful resort under normal circumstances, but don’t come during the pandemic because everything is closed! The heated pool, hot tub and spa is closed! Even the deli and restaurant are closed! You can only ski and suffer starvation at the same time! Oh, and the regulations are so strict you will feel like you’re lock down on a jail!PS: again, wait until the pandemic is over!
Great slopes and had a blast they, really dont have anything disposable and pinch pennies, also the slopes are harder than their marking go for skiing not for food.
A well-appointed resort inn at the base of the mountain with all the amenities except coffee before 8am. Fabulous gym and outside pool with an inside entrance open 10am..
Great place to stay and visit. Ski in and ski out. On site bar and restaurant and deli, shopping and ski rental. Great service and staff.
I really liked the skii lifts because of how clean they are. Of most of the skii places that I go to, there is usually a lot of rust. Also because they make their own snow, me and my family were allowed to skii even when the weather wasnt up for it. I highly recommend that you go here!
This place is the best and worst. The bones, convenience, and amenities in this hotel are superior in the region. But they need work on customer service, and reservations in particular. They made a lot of unforced errors that caused our brief vacation to be hassle ridden. Though, we will go back there again. It could have just been bad luck.
I went here to take the gondola, open in the summer!! So picturesque and scenic. the gondola is like a ski lift, so can be a little scary for some. In general pretty quiet and not touristy during summer
Great place, very scenic, loads of outdoor activities on offer highly recommend.
Stayed for about a week as part of a conference. The rooms are clean, so are the common areas. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay with TONS of outdoor activities such as hiking.
The location of the resort is awesome. The lobby is slopeside. I was at an event in the grand ballroom that involved skiing. There is not much parking near the entrance, but they have valet parking.
A lot of fun if you have friends around. Some of the lifts are outdated and slow and others are often closed due to conditions (but that will vary of course). Good for beginner to intermediate skiers/snowboarders. Dont expect a challenge (other than ice patches) if you are above those skill levels.
Our time at the Grand summit has always been fantastic. It is well organized, family friendly and welcoming. It is our home away from home. We love it there!
Great bus transit service when you have to park further away from the resort for skiing and snowboarding. Service is great and they offer a lot of conveniences such as storages and shops all around.
Was here for the Wine Fest. $20 For a glass and 3 tickets was a little steep. 1 ticket got you a tasting at a single vendor and there were way more vendors than tickets. Also as expected there was also a good amount of entertainment.
The rooms are a bit awkward and uncomfortable. But, great resort with a big fireplace a warm pool and just steps from the ski resort. We stayed here in the fall and will come back for the winter.
Nice place except Harrimans Restaurant is a rip off and has bizzare hours. Your better off going down the road to D-Bags for a beer
Rooms are a bit dated and the price is very high, but weve felt they were clean and comfortable. Definitely cant beat the ski in ski out location and slopeside ski check.
We just spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Grand Summit for the first and last time. We were less than impressed. There is no refrigerator or micorwave in the rooms with 2 queen beds. Dont ever get room 164! It is directly across from the elevator so at all hours of the night people are hanging out there and some falling against the bedroom door.Ice cube makers are only on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so if you are on the first floor without refrigeration, you are out of luck or take a hike. Also the set up of room 164 is strange, the bed is infront of the entry hall making moving in and out of the room difficult. The prices in the deli and restaurant are outrageous and the food isnt all that great. The pool and hot tubs need repair and it looks like a kindergarten child painted the back of the building. Yikes! The views are nice and the staff seemed courteous.
Mount Snow was a blast and the workers were so great and helpful! There was many things to keep you busy and having fun. Enjoyed our little time there.
Its rather telling when a majority of the reviews fail to mention anything about the skiing and boarding. Ive come here off and on over 30 years and consider myself an advanced skier attracted to demanding slopes.Mt. Snow is a groomer-lovers delight. Most everything is groomed perfectly, and groomed often. It gets icy as do most northeast mountains from time to time, and they do their best to ameliorate it with man-made snow. (which lasts about 3 hours). Being close to CT and the populous areas of NYC, there are copious numbers of tour buses and CT-plates which fill the resort to near-capacity, but the clientèle dont mind. They are used to being surrounded by 10,000 of their closest friends. Lift lines can be intimidating to look at. Id estimate well over 500 people in the blue bubble chair lift line on a Saturday. The lines move as efficiently as management can make them. The lifts are high capacity and pour large numbers of skiers onto the slopes in short order. Very common to see 100 people at the mountain top and passed by dozens of skiers and boarders who enjoy blowing snow at you at mach schnell. The trails themselves lack personality. Some like Organgrinder are just a straight path from top to bottom. Mostly for those looking for a challenge, as OG gets rather tedious. Trails are generally moderate in grade, not many bumped up, which is what they want; money is in the hands of the green and blue skiers/riders. None of the black diamond trails are demanding. An upper-intermediate skier who has just become proficient at parallel skiing will do just fine. The bane of the high speed lift is that they are high off the ground and prone to wind holds. And Mt. Snow is addicted to high speed lifts. Nary a year goes by when Mt. Snow isnt completely shut down by wind hold on all by the tiniest lifts. Mt. Snow appeals to those who want to take a vacation, close to home. You will have your every off-piste need taken care of, and many customers demand it. If you like to go fast on groomed trails, with your front side carver skis, this is the place for you. A nice step up from a Bromley, more challenging than Stratton. If you like Okemo or Stratton, youll like this place. When you want more of a challenge, head north to Sugarbush, MRG, Stowe or Jay. If youre happy to take a couple hours on the boards and the rest of the day on the deck, this is a great place for you!
The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The hotel spa, pool, and other amenenities were all top notch. The staff went above and beyond at every step. Definitely highly recommend this hotel.
Large rooms. Typical ski lodge - nothing extravagant but absolutely sufficient. Not a lot around the area to do other than ski though.
Great place! It was easy to drop off and pick up skis and they have a great restaurant. The room also had a kitchen which was nice
Friendly good customer service nice rooms, really great amenities. Heated pool and spa. Early skiing so restaurants close early only bummer but great town.
Old and rooms to to be very hot but proximity is great. They were very accommodating when we had to request a late checkout due to an ill child.
Attended a tough mudder event here and the staff were very nice and the resources well staffed. Ive also been here before for skiing and have always enjoyed myself and the services here.
Great hiking available, especially with the chairlift support. The beer festival is a great event too. Lots of good food, drink, and music.
Absolutely loved this mountain I would definitely come back. The people are wonderful, food is great and the selection of trails is endless. Lots of shops for gear and memorabilia.
Stayed during the off season and really enjoyed our visit. Great resort with lots of amenities, and the room was really great. We look forward to going back!
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is easy to find and the maps given were very helpful. Better signs would be helpful. The main lodge.stafd were very friendly and provided us with the necessary informarion. The location is beautiful.
Our room was nice, but the revrption on our tv was terrible and there were mo batteries in the remote for the tv..also our heater fidnt work..it was a good thing it was on the warm side
Lacks charm. My expectations of a VT resort are so much higher than the physical facility can deliver. The people are great; the building/architecture/design not so much.
Awesome place with high rated accommodation and renting stuff for skiing.Very good service in all areas as well as the ski instructors.Highly recommended.
No good parking at the summit resort. The condo my friends and I rented had a microwave that had electrical issues and a bed frame which needed to be fixed
Spending the full day at Stratton inspired me to write a 2 star review for Mt. Snow. The best thing this mountain has going for it is its snowmaking capacity. It gets a lot open early. Other than that the grooming and lifts are sub par. The groomers are just...bad. No other way to say it. Unless you get the fresh cord, the base feels as choppy as the terrain they leave ungroomed. (Stratton puts enough TLC into the base that they can get better conditions after a rainstorm than Mt Snow after 6 inches of fresh.) And the much ballyhooed 6 person lift may be fast to the summit, but you will never know that because it will stop 3 times… sometimes youll bounce there up to 5-10 mins. In fact ALL Mt Snows lifts do this. Ive never seen anything like it. Also the staff is less than helpful on a non crowded day. Spend the extra $10 and go to Stratton. Trust me.
We did the summer BlueBird Express lift to the top and hiked around. It was raining so we didnt explore too many other activities but they have plenty. Check their site for days/times as they vary in summer.
If i had to pay for a room im sure id say it costs to much. But my uncle has a time share so its awsome. Hotub pool spaa arcade. Awsome bar/resturant, wall right out onto the mountain. Basicly ski into the elevator. Its great. But. Yaknow. Go to killington instwad
Very nice location and the rooms are very nice as well. Unfortunately, due to the covid reactions, a lot of the amenities are closed. But still a pleasant stay.
We visited Mount Snow for the tubing experience. It was excellent, the hill was taken care of and fast, the magic carpet made getting up the hill easy and the entire system was organized.
Fun mountain. The resort itself is nice. My friend got maried there. Lift lines not bad except the main one at the base, but theres lots of other lifts.
Professional staff, nice secluded location away from the city. Great place for a weekend getaway! Spa, pool, sauna available from 6am to 9pm.
Came here at the end of the season. Snowed 3 inches of fresh powder during the day and it was magical. Some of the best skiing Ive ever had.
Great place for winter sports. Great trails, backwoods and you cant forget the terrain park. All of it is awesome. Also check out the new carinthia lodge. Pretty sweet in there.
Rooms are perfect, staff is attendant and super nice! Facilities over all are top notch
Nice place and well kept.I gave 3 stars didnt have the place ready when promised still doing repairs when we arrived which caused us to get drywall dust all over our clothes.
Ate at the restaurant there(Harrimans farm to table). It was okay, worth eating, but a little expensive for the quality. The mountain itself, Mt Snow ski area, is terrific. Good skiing, good snowmaking.
Snow is only as good as it can get on this part of the globe. If you are beginners or looking to start ski/snowboarding, checkout their Discovery package its really worth it !
Spent my time on Discovery Mountain. Great learning space for new snowboarders and skiers. Lines werent too long.
Outstanding, cant recommend enough
April 11 mixed condition Northface and carinthia groomed great main mountain a mess. Parts of mountain closed because of mid week status. not cool to me considering average ticket price
Paired with college week the price split with a group of friends it is very possible to have an amazing mini vacation . Staying at the hotel was convenient when going to Mt. Snow ,be cautious as if it snows and you are at one of the lodges it is very possible to get stuck and have to take a detour out of the neighborhood if going up hill
A great Lodge with large rooms. The cafe offers a great selection, including gift food items and great options to take to your room, on the slope, or for a picnic.
Beautiful views. The staff is very friendly. We stayed at the seasons condos down the street. The conference room was spacious.
My son got into snowboarding accident and we had to leave immediately. The hotel was awesome Gave Us coupons and helped us through the whole process!
No fridges in rooms. Bar/restaurant opens late, closes too early. Deli closes too early. Close to ski mountain!
Great room to share with the family and had a good time skiing.
Decent place, way to over priced. Seems really outdated to be charging what they charge.
We went for the Independece Day fireworks show. There was a live band and food which all was quite good for a large event. Then the fireworks show itself was great, with plently of parking and places to sit.
Went up for the Tough Mudder event this June. The location was beautiful, the grounds well kept, and event a blast. A bit on the expensive side, but most nice things are.
They have different properties around. And the one they gave initially was in some basements. And it looked really hunted... So went back to receptionist ( 1 mile away) n told cant stay in there.... So they gave different condo at $100 extra. Which was ok but check what you got before dropping in
Went there to ride the mountain and even though its been a weird winter their conditions were fantastic. Very friendly place to ski and ride of all skill levels.
Mount Snow has so many lifts that if youre of any skill level you can drive big lines. Great for snowboarders and great glade runs
Great location. Nothing fancy about the room, but it gets the job done. Good restaurant. Lots of activities for the kids.
We are owners here at Mount snow and love coming up here. The hotel staff is great and there is a ton of stuff to do during the day, and at night.
Great staff, however disappointed Harrimans wasnt open for breakfast on the days we were there. Deli was ok, but Harrimans has a better ambiance.
This place is absolute garbage. Over $500 and you don’t even get a real bed to sleep in. Pull out wall bed/ pull out couch. Room was dated, tiny and no central air. Get an Airbnb instead.
This hotel is very dirty and out of date. Being as expensive as it is to stay here one would definitely expect something higher class than this. The hotel is run down and clearly in need of some serious renovations and major improvement. Wouldnt recommend this place at all.
Great place. Rooms are good. They are nice sized. We were here for a venue. Lots of amenities.
Lodges are very good, food is a bit expensive, but still somewhat reasonable. Mountain and snow quality is fantastic. Trains are well labled and laid out. Would recommend!
Great little resort, but it can get very crowed at peak times.
Wonderful amenities and helpful ski staff/hotel staff. Had a wonderful time on and off the slopes, which were nicely maintained!
