Everything about the visit was good. The atmosphere is very fun. The belly dancers exciting dance floors, entertaining the food. OK customer service is great. The food is not all that wonderful. You can get it cheaper and better other places.
Attended a company sponsored mixer and had a great time!! Our table ordered all the appetizers and I sampled everything and it was good!! If you are not familiar with the dishes I recommend getting a sampler platter. The best part was the dancer!! She went table to table and danced for us. Some members of our group danced with her as well. Later on the restaurant turned into a club type of atmosphere and all the ladies got up and danced. Fun times and good vibes!!
As usual this place doesn’t disappoint. You have to come here and be prepared for loud music and slower service. But it’s all part of the charm. Service might be slower but it’s very accurate and timely. Mediterranean food is amazing. Ordered 2x family platter for 12 of us and we had leftovers (portions are huge)I was here for hookah and loved every second of it!Belly dancers after 10 pm were a nice surprise.I will be back!
Another one of my first times. I ordered the spinach rolls to start then the garlic shrimp. It was amazing and I ate every bit of it. My guy ordered the beef kabobs and they were flavored great but were a bit tough. I loved the decor and music. I will definitely go again! I always forget to take pics at the beginning of the meal. The food was delivered hot and pretty and the staff was amazing. As we were outside on the patio we saw people parachuting out of the sky. I put the video on here. It was so cool.
Badly managed. The crowd last night was surely more than the allowed capacity. It didn’t feel less than a stampede. The timings for the artist to perform were from 9pm to 2am and no one arrived until 1 am at-least. The music selection was okay, not that great. The organizers you will see on the floor only want to talk money and cater to those who have a table reserved. They are rude dude, RUDE! The security changes rules per their mood. They stopped us from re-entering even to take a phone call around 9:30 pm despite that the instructions on the door said 11 pm. Food was decent but pricy. Never coming back. The place is too small to host anything more than a low scale event. Each one was stepping over and pushing while dancing, standing at the bar or passing by.PS during an event, if you don’t have a table, you can’t order food. And the table costs $50/person additional to the entry charge/celebrity ticket.
Great indoor and outdoor seating! Beautiful restaurant. On weekends there is a belly dancer. Music was great and kept us really entertained. Also a dance floor. They have hookah and a bar. Food wasn’t the best. Baklava was terrible and so hard to bite into. The waitress was great! Great vibe but food can definitely be better!
I dont know where to start. We went into the club, and the security guard, Im guessing that is what he was, was very friendly. And that is where the friendless stops. The young lady who took my card for us to pay looks as if she didnt want to take it. If it wasnt for the people we were with, I dont think they would. We walked in the club/ bar/restaurant, and I was speechless. They said they are a variety club. This aint it. I ordered a drink and the young lady was nice and quick with getting my drink. We sat down thinking we could get food. The food area was closed. The waitress they were walking around refused to look at us. Pay us any attention and try their best to avoid us at all cost. We asked one of them for assistance and was told one moment, and the chick never came by. The wait staff is racist in the biggest way. The dj was alright and the people dancing was nice. If it wasnt for the people we were with, we wouldve left a long time ago. This club is not meant, in my opinion, outside black people. If you aint known, you might as well be ignored. The waitstaff alone will make you walk out and ask for your money back. That was my first, only and last time going. They will never get any of my money, and I wouldnt even put them out there to say its a place to visit, especially if youre black. For service I give it 3 stars because of the young man at the door. He was friendly and welcoming. If it wasnt for that, I wouldnt give it 3.
This was the first time we attended a restaurant/bar with belly dancing performance included. Had heard quite a lot and was expecting more maybe. When we entered the venue, we were seated outside because although several tables were empty, they were reserved before hand. The outdoor seating was not very maintained considering temperatures are constantly high and since seats were below trees, there were ants and maybe some bugs around. Food wise, pricing was moderate. However flavor wise it was lacking. Grape leaf appetizer was a bit disappointing. Shawarma and chicken kebabs were just decent, felt more dry than usual Mediterranean places though. The belly dancing performance was impressive. The ambience inside was good- mostly giving ‘desi night’ vibes in any club. Service was a bit slow, but since there was a huge crowd, it is understandable.
Genuine review here.Disregard all the bad reviews from below.Food is great Service is great. The guy who wait for us was Primo. He was great!I was told that this is a club on fri and sat night with too much people inside i believe that they unable to service everyone. Nevertheless, i came to this place on a thursday night and dined.Pricing was reasonable! We ordered chicken shawarma and beef kabob! Both is superb! Very tasty and delicious. Hummus with garlic and chili sauce was a great combi too!I would definitely recommend this to my friends and my family! Place is big. And without the club function, everything is GREAT. Will come back again 👍🏻
Came in with a Groupon, very happy with the food and the service. Sister can’t have dairy, but server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. He also provided a few substitutions that made the whole meal really wonderful. We will definitely be back soon!
I had my birthday celebration here where I was assisted by a server named Andrew. He helped me reserve the VIP space and served me and all my guests amazingly! He was such a friendly and easy to work with guy! It was such an enjoyable night thanks to him, the rest of the staff, and the exciting habibi atmosphere!
It sounds frustrating dealing with those issues at the pub. A $10 parking charge can be steep, especially if no food options are available. Plus, its disappointing to be denied entry despite having a wristband. Hopefully, you will find a more accommodating spot next time!I recommend a bowling place very next to it. I hope this review helps you by not getting there before you have a disappointing weekend.A Big Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo......!!!!
The atmosphere was only good because they held an argentinian event, but the restaurant is just ran by a bunch of scammers. Overcharged us and never gave what we ordered, lied to us saying they had dirty tap water so made us buy water bottles. Offered us a meal, because they knew they did us wrong, but said they were out of everything. Then gave us a service charge when our waitress was awful. If you are a broke restaurant and need handouts... just say that.
I had a surprise 20th anniversary dinner there for my wife and 20 of our friends. Andrew was our server and he was absolutely amazing. Extremely attentive and always checked on us to make sure we were good. The food was amazing.
Im visting Dallas and I was looking for a nice hookah place, Im glad I found this place. Everyone is super friendly and the place is very welcoming.BILAL was helping us and he was one of the best servers I have seen, extremely friendly and had a big smile on his face all night.Definitely would go back and definitely would recommend.
This place is wonderful. We came at around 7 before a large crowd had formed, and they were mostly still setting up.The restaurant is broken up into the smoking and the non smoking section. We ordered a couple of appetizers then a platter, and I have to say all of the food was outstanding. The Baba Ganoujh was pleasantly smoky, and super smooth. There was a generous amount of pita included as well.Highly recommend if you find yourself in Addison.
Scam!!! I paid Valet. Got charged $20 and walked in to find out the place it was so packed I couldnt even moved. I had a party of 5, so we walked right out and asked for my car. The Valet girl said I couldnt get my money back. Said I just work here and I cant do anything. Huge scam
Not the first time I visited this place on a Friday but this time we didnt like it much - the food was average, service was poor and it seemed like the DJs played the same tracks (and probably in the same order) from when I visited couple of years ago during the Bollywood DJ night. They did not even coordinate on the setlist!!
Amazing Customer Service. The food was great. Very clean. The hookahs, the belly dancers.Thank you guys for welcoming the 808 Labs after-party.This venue was simply put... Amazing
I was too busy having fun here that I forgot to take good pictures of the place. I gave it 4 star, not 5 ,because I only have one complaint with this place, the bill. It was way to high for the food that we had ordered. Other than that this place is VIBES. And I mean major VIBES on the weekends. You will have hard time finding parking so it’s better to do valet parking. I believe it’s only $10.There are 3 major themes here on the weekends. Friday is Bollywood Music, Saturday is International Music and Sunday is Latin Music. You will also see belly dances if you go early. And you will end up dancing and vibing like crazy if you go a little late. You want to drink and have fun and meet new people, this is the place for you, hands down.
Al-Amir is Lebanese restaurant which also provides club experience, hookah facility and on Thursday night they have belly dancer performance as well as Bollywood music. This place gets really loud (music) , crowded and smoky (with hooks an cigarettes).Food⭐️⭐️⭐️Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Price 💲💲
The staff and management are so fantastic! My husband is from Lebanon and we had a big party for him at Al-Amir in Addison and he said it was so amazing and he had so much fun! Thank you Bahaa for making it the perfect evening! Everyone has called me after the party to say they are going back to Al-Amir and thanked me for introducing them to the place. They even let me hire a camel to greet the guests!
We went on Sunday night for Sabroso Sunday (Latino Night) and it was a blast! They had a quick bachata lesson for beginners and played a lot of great salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia. Hookahs are a nice touch!Miguel was a wonderful bartender. Highly recommend!
Food and Hookah are nothing great but their Bollywood nights have become much better with more focus on Bollywood and other languages music.
If you like loud music and dance floor here is the place for you. They got really busy after 9. The owner is very friendly and wants to make sure you have really great night. Hookah is great. I would however rate food and drinks average . They don’t have any tap beer or making special cocktails . Have tasted better food at other Lebanese’s restaurant
Loved the vibe our waiter was very polite & helpful. Going back for the belly dancers he recommended latin night Sundays. We had lamb & beef kabobs the lamb was delicious
Absolutely unpleasant experience.Extravagant charges. For regular water, were charged 4$ per single bottle. Lot of masked charges. Horrible experience. Definitely dont recommend.
Best place for weekends, we started visiting on every Friday recently, before 10 pm it’s free to enter, after 10 pm there is charge of $10 per person, I suggest to visit here with group of friends to have best time, Belly dance 💃 stood highlights 👌. Food is okay okay, Hookah is also available….! Car parking is a disaster here because the lot will fill in few minutes, We usual go with Vallet parking. We never satisfied with the customer service over here, especially the bar tenders will ask you for Tip every time you purchase, this happens for us most of the times, so better leave the card with them & collect when you leave. These are our experiences we faced in June & July 2021….!
I go there for bollywood night with friends. Food is just average and service I dont like as over crowded on Friday. If people go before 10pm can find parking otherwise its tough to find.
Great Lebanese experience with hookah and dance. Enjoyed the bollywood night on Saturday. They do have good vegetarian food options!!
Best for Bollywood nights on Fridays.Parking space is limited and yes its packed enough to have a great party vibe.
We didnt have any food so cant rate it. Hookah was good drinks were ok. Had an issue with security. Instead of trying to communicate with me they thought shining a bright flash light in my eyes would do the trick when it was too loud to hear anything. Other than that our server was ok and the belly dancer was good. The website the belly dancers performed at 9pm and 10:30 pm. They didnt perform at 9pm and was well past 10:30 when they did.
Not the first time I been to this place. I like the ambiance and the belly dance. Also appreciate the staging area for the people wanting to dance. I enjoyed dancing there but I am taking away 2 stars for the very below average vegetarian food. We ordered malaki or makali platter. It had fried eggplant, potatoes, zucchini and cauliflower with some white cilantro rice. It was simply sautéed or fried only with no seasoning at all. If we didnt have sauce to dip it in... this dish would have been a disaster. I mean even a kitchen virgin could have made better version of what they served us. Really terrible veg food!!!! 3 stars are for good music, ambiance and belly dancers!!! Please work on your veg meal options.
Clean, happening, delicious food, amazing customer service , decent drinks, ambience, crowd, dancers... all in one package was great. We were visiting from California and had great time with friends at the restuarant. With covid restrictions in place the restuarant was placing customer with social distancing and everyone had a mask on. I would def visit this place when I visit Dallas again ...Lentil soup and chicken shawarma a must try.!!!
Our server Andrew, I believe his name was, was great, he seemed very organized and looked as if he knew what we wanted. No complaints thus far, can’t wait to go back. PS the DJ was great !
I personally recommend Juan if anyone planning to visit the place , he’s a wonderful host . He not only suggest great choices but also great service .. We were almost there for more than 3 hours with 8people in our group, he accommodated all our requests and kept checking up constantly, the place was packed but his service is impeccable.I highly recommend to ask for Juan and you would have best of time in this place 10 stars just for him alone .Thank you Juan for making our night crazy special
I love me some Lebanese food. The staff is friendly and I like the pita bread. The last time I took the family so 2 adults and 3 kids. It was in the evening time so somewhat busy. They navigated the crowd pretty good and kept us in the loop in regards to how long the wait would be. When it came time to sit down the waiter came and got us and was pretty cheerful. They brought us drinks right away and some appetizers with hummus. I think we had a pretty good experience overall and the place was clean so its always nice when you see care and attention put into keeping things nice and tidy. I think we will get back over there this weekend but defiantly a good place to add to the list of good places to get some food with the family. Parking is half decent but anything is better than highland park close to where we live. I would choose this location anyday over being down in Dallas just due to how easy it is to get in and out. If you are looking for a good authentic place to grab some Lebaneese food then you should give this place a try. Im sure you will be impressed just as I was.
It’s mostly Bollywood, which is fine if that’s the music you want to dance and hear, but I was expecting, since it is a middle eastern restaurant to play also Arabic music. The waitstaff said it would have a range of music, but they didn’t. 1 song thrown in for Spanish or Arabic every 30 mins. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious for the price. Service was slow but improved once the waitstaff took the order, of course it was NYE so they were very busy. Overall a great place, but I will have to go somewhere else to have and hear other selection of music played.
Food is very average but over priced , Friday nights are over crowded and the security dont even investigate before taking any action. Not worth the hassle/hype. I would avoid this place
I have been coming to Al-Amir on and off for the past 18 years (both at the old Dallas location and Adisson one). This year I wanted to gather our friends to celebrate my birthday. The staff was outstanding! Primo, the manager, made sure everything went smoothly. The waiter, Ahmed, was quick, responsive and professional. The food is super delicious and the DJ is amazing! He also took requests to play songs from our country. Primo, is the most energetic and fun manager who is sure to make your next party unforgettable for everyone!
Its an awesome place to be on Fridays. I went here from the first time back in 2015 and again today my friends invited me to hang out with them for the Bollywood dance night. It was truly awesome. I loved every bit of it. The staff was cool and friendly. People were nice. Music was great. Id like to go back to Al-Amir every Friday.Visited today to eat food for the first time and it was absolutely freaking amazing. Loved everything that I ordered. One of the best Lebanese restaurants in town. And the best Lebanese food I have tasted.
They played good music, had good food and drinks. Although a little pricey. But you pay for the atmosphere these days, so no points off. I did get turned down when asking to salsa dance about half the time but I was expecting it because they dont think a white boy can dance 😂
Al Amir in Addison is absolutely amazing! They have the most amazing food, a great hookah selection, and a dance floor! My group and I had so much fun here. Loved the atmosphere so much. Love how they have cultural nights - it sets them apart from all the other restaurants & clubs in the area. The staff is very friendly too. The parking is great - plenty of space and very safe. Absolutely love this place and cannot wait to go back!!
This is a $4 bottle of water! God forbid you dont drink soda or order from the bar. This company should be ashamed that they charge this kind of money for garbage. Their food isnt good enough to pay this kind of money for Walmart water! Next time Im at a special event theyre hosting Ill be sure to eat before I come, and bring my own drinks! Hope my $40 meal was worth it because I wont be supporting your buisness again.
Make sure to check your bill, they are scammers. I have my receipt and they have overcharged me. The total is not what i wrote on the bill. They will charge anything after you are gone from the visit. This is not the first time that happened, last time i thought it must be a mistake but it happened again. Now they are pricier too. It used to be $10 entry fee on Saturday night but now they are $20.
Celebrating a birthday with a group of 14. We got there at ~ 8pm and were promptly seated, which I thought was awesome given the size of our group. The show was fun, included belly dancing with swords on fire! Later that evening the place gets lit...full on dance club. Oh, and the hummus and falafel were delightful!
I recently dined at Al Amir Restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service provided by the staff was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The manager, Bahaa, went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable dining experience. He was attentive, professional, and truly cared about the satisfaction of his customers. Baha was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, making sure that every dish was prepared to perfection. The quality of the food at Al Amir Restaurant is outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. I particularly enjoyed the traditional Middle Eastern dishes such as the hummus, falafel, and shawarma. The ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous. The staff at Al Amir Restaurant were incredibly courteous and accommodating. They were prompt in taking our orders and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The level of attention and care provided by the staff truly enhanced the dining experience.Overall, I highly recommend Al Amir Restaurant and commend the manager, Bahaa, for his exceptional service. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work and goes above and beyond to ensure that his customers have a remarkable dining experience. If youre looking for delicious Middle Eastern cuisine and outstanding service, Al Amir Restaurant is the place to go.
This place is really awesome. They play all kinds of music and have belly dancers too sometimes. Food are tasty. They have wide variety of drinks and varieties of Hookah too. Pretty lively environment. Depending on days, they have entry fee sometimes. Sometimes its free to enter. Also, they have a dress code so anyone in their casual outfit with joggers, jordan is a no-go !
Well, I gotta say that this place now have some discrimination and customer service issues. On Feb 19th my sister had called and confirmed about our reservations for 15 ppl. Hey....mind you we are some professional brown ppl with $$$ too okay🙂We took our out of town guests to this place to have some good time. Failed Scenario #1 Regardless getting our tables reserved and confirmed, tables were given to other Middle Eastern group. We the Brown Ppl stood there looking like clowns to get a table. Failed Scenario #2 We didnt get served for *WATER* atleast for an hour. When water got served the waiter spilled the whole tray on few of us.. water was on our clothes, purses and shoes..again no apologies neither given anything to dry. Failed Scenario #3 Drinks were given after 50 minutes to only few not to everyone, when my my nephew approached to the waiter about it, instead of being apologetic the waiter was rude and told us off. Failed Scenario #4 Appetizers were given cold which was supposed to be warm kabobs plus naan bread was uncooked and served out of plastic bags.PATHETIC and HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!Infront of us,the there was a group of Middle Eastern family who got sitted after us WERE SERVED WITH RESPECT AND GOT WATER DRINKS,APPETIZERS AND FOOD WITHIN TIME-LINE.*This place used to be good before but now the level of customer service they give to other colors of ppl is very SHAMEFUL. FULL OF DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!!
Very different from what I was expecting. The server was nice but the service very slow. Food came fast but they took too long to take our order and to come back later to check on us. We just ordered some appetizers and they were ok. I dont recommend ordering the cocktails here. The plates from the other table looked good though.
Nice place for food and music.Bollywood nights are awesome with bollywood and Tollywood music and decent dance floor!
Bad security very rude. They don’t know your m how to deal with customer all the securities they trying to fight me but they messing with the wrong person. I wish I can get a contact with the owner.
Al-Amir offers belly dance entertainment, which is a positive aspect of the venue. However, it’s significantly overpriced considering the food quality. The service is often inattentive, possibly due to automatic tipping, and sometimes it takes too long to get served. The indoor smoking policy leads to an unpleasant odor. As a Middle Eastern person, I don’t feel it accurately represents our culture and hospitality, and I wouldn’t recommend it for an authentic experience.
The bartender there was so rude. They didnt give us the bill when we asked after getting drinks. How would we know how much each drinks are? They just take our cards and charge whatever they want? And do we have to look at our credit card statement to find out?Never would recommend this place to anyone. The worst and the rudest service Ive ever seen. Food is very bad. I wouldnt recommend anything here. They would just take your money and tip themselves!!!
I’m in love with this place, but my experiences in a couple times that I been there the bills were so expeensives in my opinion a little bit altered by the waitress, for example the Hookah’s at the Door said you will pay 25$, but when you get the bill is 40$ 🤔 there is a big difference right!, also even if u go by your self to the bar for your drinks they will apply the 20% to your check wish is abusive, with this been said, if you are coming to this place my only advice is be prepared to pay a high bill check. Other than that the ambient, music etc is perfect 🤩
The bartenders are very bad. They dont even give the break out of the bill even if you ask. She has charged me tip thrice all by herself. She never kept the tab open though I kept telling her to and charged tip separately for every drink. Also, to get a table apparently each person has to have orders more than $30. When we told we wont be able to do $30 each, they just left and didnt even bother to do anything.
Over priced and mediocre place. tables and chairs are old and need a revamp. They charge a $3.00 card handling fee plus automatic 20% gratuity. Everything is overpriced and the service and food is just okay. I can see people just come here to party, it’s not much of a restraunt more like a mini club. Overall it’s not that great for the high set prices you pay.
Food is super bad. Prices are bad. Drinks are average. Atmosphere during Friday night is good.
Plays really good music most nights. However, be ready to sweat because the air conditioning is never good. You will find yourself dancing for 10mins next thing you’ll run to the patio to get some air. Not so good at value for money for drinks but I do guarantee you will enjoy dancing a lot on Indian songs!
Sunday nights is salsa night. Ive never eaten at this location but if the food here is like the food at their Arlington location, its delicious. It was a nice crowd. Dancers dont really start getting there until about 11. Ran into friends and had a great time. A lot of bachata and merengue. Not enough salsa. But I feel like no one plays enough salsa.
I’ve travelled Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Gulf States, Egypt & Morocco. I love West Asian and North African cuisine in its many national variations. John, owner of Al-Amir, inspired me to travel Lebanon and try Lebanese food myself. When I’m in Dallas area, I eat at Al-Amir Addison once or twice each week. I ate there last night. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.
Food is tasteless. I guess I had the worst Mediterranean food ever here. Website gives wrong information as there were supposed to be 2 dance shows on Friday but that’s not correct. They have just one show at 10:30 which kinda makes you just waste you time if you reach early. Everything is below average and even the speakers don’t work properly on half of the property.
Be aware with Valet. They charge whatever they want. In our group they charged one person $10, another $20 and third person $30. Scammers. Also, check how much they charge when you enter. They charged us for 8 people while we clearly told them we are 5.
I had an unfortunate experience at this establishment. When I requested a cup of water, the server responded with an unwelcoming attitude, stating that I needed to ask my designated server or pay $4 for it. I spoke to the manager to address the situation, but instead of resolving it professionally, he raised his voice at the server. When I expressed that such treatment of customers was inappropriate, the managers behavior escalated, resulting in him yelling at me and even pushing me. This incident compelled me to share this review, as the poor customer service, especially from the manager, left a lasting negative impression. I advise others to steer clear of this place, as it is not worth the money.
Had such a great night last! Andrew was absolutely phenomenal and took great care of us. Request Andrew as your server !
I likes the place but the bartenders were very rude. I asked for water and they just ignored . I waited for like 20 minutes for water , asked then for like 5 times. And the worst part was i paid with card and they themselves added $16 as tip. I would say it’s a good place but the management should train their workers.
Huge disappointment. The service was terrible - slow, unattentive, and unprofessional. The club atmosphere was nothing like promised, with poor music and vibe. Overall, a waste of money and a genuinely unpleasant experience.
Very nice place!Great selection of Mediterranean cuisine. We tried hummus, baba ganoush, falafel and kibbeh and it was all great. It was the bartenders first day so the drinks were a little off, but very good friendly service.Come for the dancing events! Free dancers showing off various styles of dance.Overall a good experience.
We go there once in a while for tollywood and Bollywood music on Friday nights . It gets packed later in the night. Tried some hookah and drinks . It’s not cheap like any other bar . Please go before 9 pm on Friday nights or pay a cover . It’s fun once in a while . Oh yeah they have belly dancers too .
Certainly! Al-Amir restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with remarkable customer service and amazing food. From the warm greeting at the entrance to the attentive staff and the delicious, well-presented dishes, every aspect of the visit exceeded expectations. The commitment to satisfying customers was evident in their proactive approach to dietary preferences and allergies. Al-Amir sets a high standard for the industry, making it a top recommendation for those seeking an unforgettable culinary journey with unparalleled hospitality.
This became an Indian club not a Lebanese restaurant/ club. Was sooooooo disappointed yesterday going to the place expecting to listen to a fusion music and all the music was Indian.Paying for parking, entrance fee and dinner to get in into a totally different atmosphere than what expected.Very misleading.
Visited on a Friday evening, had Cheese rolls and Shawarma, they were superb! Ended up seated at a table close to the dance floor and the live music was cranked to 11. Music was great but so loud that you simply cant converse with others except to shout into their ear directly. They were packed so service was slow but attentive when they came by. Hookah service was 5 stars too, is definitely visit again but not on a Friday.
Super rude staff and security. They have no respect for customers. Creepy guys hanging in the dance area during music and dance at late night. This place with no mean is close to what they call a night club
Incredible service at Al Amir. The food was the best I’ve had in Dallas. Definitely coming back again soon.
I enjoy going to Al-Amir Friday and Saturday nights for hookah, music, and belly dancers. It’s always a good time. The food and service are hit or miss. Sometimes the food and hookah is good and the service is great and other times it’s not.
Went to Al-Amir for the birthday party of a friend. Did not eat, but the club / bar area was very nice. Al-Amir has a great sound system and large dance floor. Elisabetha (sp?) was our bartender, and she did a great job. Everyone in our group had a great time. Thanks, Al-Amir...!!!PS - Leave your hat in your car.
Great place for the friday bollywood nights.
Loved the atmosphere. The falafel and the hummus were top notch. They also had a Bollywood night on Fridays which was a blast. I was surprised by the Belly dance performance, the dancer was so graceful throughout the performance kudos to her!Overall I would definitely recommend this place especially on Friday nights!
Unfortunately, there is no zero star. A large group consisting of 7 people went to that back place of the club, and it appeared that there were two people sitting on the small wall of the building, so one of our comrades sat on this small wall and a security man with bad manners came to him and ordered him to leave the club without prior warning knowing that there were other people They sit in the same place and he does nothing. Here we felt racial discrimination and we all got out of this inappropriate place for decent people. انصح جميع من يقراء هذا التعليق بعدم زياره هذا المكان اطلاقا
Fatteh With Chicken: 5 out of 5 burps: After fighting about what I had last time, we finally agreed that this was it. It was so good last time, I had to have it again. Its sooooo good. Its like if you could just drown kittens while juggling...oh wait, no not that. Its like if baby Jesus had giant eagles wings, and singin lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and Im in the front row and Im hammered drunk! Yeah thats it! Thats how good it is.
Last night I celebrated my birthday here. Since the weather was a bit cold and drizzly I thought , it might not be busy . I called the same day to book for a table that have a nice view of the dance floor and on the phone the gentleman I spoke with assured me , he will have my table reserved eventho it was the last minute reservation . When I showed up I mentioned my name and he greeted me and showed me the options I had, I was impressed . my guest sat down . We ordered bottle service and they added the mixer for free, The hookah was very good . The waiter was on point and very attentive, he checked on our table multiple times. Eventho the weather wasnt good oh my , the place around 11pm people dancing 🇪🇹 international night and the belly dancer was there it was a full house . Over all I had an awesome birthday my tab was around 700 dollars for me it was worth every single penny. If you want to have awesome birthday with nice and classy place Al-amir is the place . Thank you to everyone working here for making my birthday experience an awesome one.
Rude managementIndians shouldn’t go to these pubs and encourage themMy dear Indians please don’t go and give money to these kind of pubs
The vibe, dj, and drinks are great. However, both the times I visited, the staff members were rude. Recently, there was an empty table to which we went and sat, and he literally shooed us away and said its reserved. He wasnt even polite about that. The entire night, that table was empty and he didnt even bother to offer it to us while we were waiting for 2-3 hrs. We didnt expect 5 star service but being polite and considerate is basic manners. Be respectful. Never visiting this place again
Went on a Friday night. Great vibes, young crowd, great ambiance.Food is moderate, neither too good nor too bad. Place is packed on Friday. Beautiful people dancing on the dance floor having fun.Waiter service is good. Stuff listened to my group and assisted us in a good manner.Few things that are skeptical to me are:Prices are too high.Entry pass is $10 per person.Ordered grey goose vodka 1.75 L which is around $36 to $49 depending on online and In- store, and Al Amir charged us $275.And, customer cannot occupy a table as it is. We had to pay for the table service in order to have drinks, food, hookah etc. while sitting on a table charges are applied , otherwise stuff said get your drinks from the bar and stand and dance entire night.Something fishy is going on behind the scenes.
Always an amazing place to have fun. They have good hookah and amazing food. They have Bollywood night every Friday and it’s fun all over. Saturday is Arabian night. They have a dance floor and anyone can dance to there DJ music. I love the food here, they have good menu and the taste is delicious. It’s always fun to come back to this place.
Gonna sound old, but music was super loud, and my best guess from the 80s...restaurant was half empty and they had closed out most of the parking to make money off valet...which is messed up...hookah tasted like nothing, food took about 40 minutes to show up and it was wrong (they said they misheard)...how are the wait staff supposed to hear anything over the deafening music (Yes our ears were ringing after we left)...would not go again...
Al-Amir was absolutely a wonderful experience! The DJ was amazing as he mixed Bollywood and US Top 40 hits. The sound system is absolute gold. It makes the music come to life. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Its a place of culture and excellent customer service. I love the space in Al-Amir. We did not feel cramped at all. Parking was easy, and the location was easy to access. I highly recommend Al-Amir for your next event.
The dj raj sucks. He doesn’t know how to dj at all. He plays the most worst songs. It’s Bollywood he be playing dumb songs. Get him off the dj spot. Dj asim is way better. He actually plays good songs. We come here for good songs and dj asim is the way to go. Please get rid of dj raj he frfr sucks. Dj raj plays the same songs over an over again. I’m sick of this. He plays all South Indian songs. Please take him out he sucks like a lot. I love coming here for good music this guy doesn’t know how to dj. Keep dj asim. Or hire me. I can be way better dj.
This place is called Alamir, which is supposed to be for majority of Arab customers. I have been noticing that this place became serving more Indian customers and even the music became majority Indian music. Although Friday nights are dedicated to Indian customers, the music and the dance floors are dominated by Indian customers who are loud drunk, and obnoxious on Saturdays as well. The New Year Eve night last Saturday was ruined for Arab customers because the Indian customers dominated the place. They were drunk and obnoxious. We left early because the music mostly were dedicated to the Indian customers and the dance floor was taken by the loud drunk Indian customers. 3 tables full of Arab customers left early that night because of the rowdy behavior of the Indian customers. The management doesnt seem to care about the Arab customers. I suggest you change the restaurant name to Amir Khan and just severe and entertain your Indian customers. Myself and 4 other families will not be returning to this rowdy chaotic place.
Food and music was great. The price was good. What I didnt like was that the DJ absolutely refused to play any songs Ive asked for, the belly dancer was absolutely a joke, and some of the audience there were really creepy.
We enjoyed our meal as first time guests. We also had a coupon and it appeared that it would not be honored. After speaking with the manager, he graciously accepted the coupon and we continued to enjoy our evening. We plan to visit again.
Very bad service security are so rude they keep trying to fight for no reson please i need to get contact with owner
I used to like this place, they used to have a mix of music types, but sadly it’s turning to an Indian place, on new year’s eve I was shocked i felt like i walked into the wrong restaurant for a minute, the whole night was Indian music, only one belly dancing show with Arabic music of course, but the rest of the night was all Indian, service was really slow at the beginning but it got better later.
All Indian music, food and vibe restaurant & hookah lounge.Negative - Valet parking is $30, outrageous.
Bollywood night DJ sucks. He keeps playing same songs that are old, 3 times in whole night. I wish management can change DJ atleaat twice a month.
I’ve been here a couple of times now and went again recently on a Friday night with 4 other people. The place had a pretty decent crowd, though it definitely was not packed. The first issue: charging a $10 cover. I’m going into a restaurant to eat and drink and smoke hookah and you’re charging a $10 cover? That was an extra $50 that my group spent. Just to get in. But we paid and got in. Ordered food and hookah. Stayed for about an hour. Saw our server a total of 3 times. And even those times, 2 times we had to have someone else find him. Every time we saw him, he would be looking away like he didn’t see us. And then the final straw, a 20% automatic gratuity on the check lol!! The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the hookah was good. Everything else…abysmal. Save your money and go somewhere else. The service here is terrible. The fact they charge a cover is terrible. Not a good time.
Food is good in here if your looking for ethnic food. Eaten here 2 times and both time were fantastic. They have a belly dancer show here also that is cool. Would recommend if your looking for something different.
Maybe it was a wrong timing, I went for new years eve to have dinner. they charged me $50 entry fee just to get in since it was dec31, 2022. They said I should get a table in 15 mins, but ended up waiting for 1hr30mins. They were too busy serving the party and I did not get a table at all. I had no choice but to wait until midnight to celebrate new year in the smoke and crowd and came out at 12.05. Never going back again. Worst service.
This place is a rip off. Service is poor and very unhygienic. Without being said, unprofessional too. Their Bollywood nights are not good anymore, this place changed a lot over time.
Food here is great! Went on a day when there wasnt any entertainment because I wanted to try the food and judge the place without being influenced by the fun of it also being a club. My party of three, the other two were Lebanese virgins, all greatly enjoyed the food and are looking forward to going back on a club night for the entertainment. We noticed as we were checking the place out there is an aerial acrobatics set-up over the dance floor, so at least one of their belly dancers has some serious acrobatic talent. Will definitely return.
If you want to experience food and music from different countries this is the place to go! Been here on a Friday and on a Saturday and the vibe is different. Food? Food is good flavor is there and costumer service okay could be way better. Hookah is available if thats something you never done before! Plenty of flavors to choose. Forgot to say cover is only $10 few so not bad and Parking?get there early if not VIP parking it is.
I went on a long weekend hoping an vibrant environment but unfortunately it was poorly maintained. The quality of the drinks were bad and the music wasn’t fun.
Its okay. They try some variety but it is mainly Arabic or Spanish. No American music.Vibe is okay. Smells like cigars.Didnt try food. Drink was ok.
OMG delicious food and beverages. Mo, our server was fantastic and SO wonderful to us. The belly dancer was worth the wait...though we almost left. Thank you for such fun.
Awesome! They have good play list especially on Fridays. Friday they play Indian playlist. I really enjoyed a lot.But a bit disappointing thing is they mostly played Bollywood songs, we were expecting more Tollywood songs.
One of the best places in texas , the staff and management are amazing and caring , the food is so delicious you can feel that made of love and passion .
It was fun! You can actually dance like a crazy there! DJ was amazing! Overall a nice place to hang out with your friends but they have only a few things for vegetarians! 😅
Yes its a hole in the wall but its also crazy fun. Hookah flavors on point, themed nights on the weekends are packed and very lively. Make sure to come early in the evening so you dont have to pay cover.
Good service and atmosphere, but overcrowded and pricey drinks.
Gratuity is charged even for 1 person on weekend. Ridiculous. There are various hit songs from India from various parts of India, but they have been playing the same set of songs from past 5 years. DJ has changed but the songs haven’t. This weekend they played around 30 Hindi songs and one South Indian song. 30:1 ratio is not at all good. They have to consider the kind of crowd they get and who enjoys.Food is good. Vibe is good for first timers. But rest, not so recommended
Great place to party and have fun! Additionally, the food was very good and our waiter, Andrew, took care of us and was very nice. Thank you Andrew and Al Amir! This place is lots of fun
I would highlt recommend anyone looking for a fun night with friends. I hosted a party for 30-40 people and hands down this is the best middle eastern place that serves amazing food with happy, smiling helpful servers. I was going to hold my event at another hookah place in Frisco but was disappointed with their lack of communication, commitment and they were trying to nickle and dime on everything.Primo the event manager is just AMAZING! He was very responsive, detailed and made me feel like and important guest. Every guest should be treated like that. Their owner was super nice, their manager Baz was very friendly. If you are looking for a good time with friends with great food and ambiance and service that has hookah/ bellydancing and fun music, this is your place. Primo is the best event manager if you are hosting a party and you wont be disappointed!!
We went on Friday night because it was bollywood night. Our server was Ali and he made sure we were more than pleased and happy with our food and drinks after his recommendations. Ali was great, he was very attentive and never got out of our sight every time we wanted to order something. The music and the crowd is the best. We’ll be back for Friday nights again! Def recommend!!!
THIS PLACE WAS LIT! Delicious Lebanese food, hookah, the DJ was amazing mixed Middle East club hits and Reggaeton hits together in one night. I looked around and everyone was enjoying themselves, the dance floor was packed. The service was quick and the waiter checked on us multiple times to see if we were good. Dont go here if you dont like fun.
The restaurant is below par and overrated. I didn’t heard good reviews from my friends, but I ignored and went there. We reached there after 10PM (took us 10 mins to find a parking), and staff rudely asked us to pay $10/each entry fees, fine and fair and we went in. The place was half full and when we asked for table for four persons they said all of them are reserved (rudely). If we want to sit we have to get bottle table, i.e., we have to buy a bottle of liquor from them (beers not included). If we don’t want to do that we have to sit outside, seriously? Half the tables weren’t labeled as reserved, I felt like robbed and just got out.Would never suggest anyone to go there.
Been there a couple of times on Fridays for Bollywood nights. Awesome food, drinks, Hookah and vibes. Love this place.
This could be a very nice place but its just feels like a fight ready to happen in this place. It has some racial tension. The music is fair. The girls are a bit stuck up and rude. If you ask them to dance they think you asking them on a date. Bring your own dance partner because when it is a place with poor dancers they tend to be intimidated by your abilities. The food and drinks are perfect....this was past Sunday. This is how bad the service in our city has gotten. I went to the bar 🍸 for a mud slide drink 🍸. The lovely female bar tender could not make the drink or never heard of it. Well, the male bar tender near her may have been more familiar with the drink, but he was talking to another guy while i stood to wait for him to finish talking after she whispered in his ear about what i needed...he barely look my way and continued to talk to the other large guy who wasnt ordering a drink, let me remind you, but allowed me to stand there and never tended to my needs for a drink. I looked at the girl and shrugged my shoulders and walked away disappointed in a so-called higher class place displayed such poor and perhaps discriminative service. He never fixed it. I am and now was a regular dancing 💃 and supporter of Al Amir. Very inconsiderate and selfish service on the part of the bar tender 😒
Worst management.. After we parked in valet, the parking staff left and our keys left with Al-amir management. When we try to ask the keys with management, the bald headed guy said they have nothing to do. Fortunately an angel cop helped us to get the key from management.Remember management, try to be nice with customers, if we stop coming to your restaurant, you might close your restaurant. You already troubled this nation a lot since from last 12 years.
We requested for room temp water bottles after our server brought them ice cold, to which she said she has already charged for them and cannot take it off and we have to take additional bottles if we want any, Like we didn’t even touch them those bottles were still in her hand, but Nope! Extremely money hungry place. Most of the parking spots are reserved to make sure you take valet service for $10 or vip parking for $20. Food was OK, the new cauliflower bites are the worst just oozes oil. Hookah was good for $30 and if you want pineapple head it’s another $10I recommend you get the tropical fruit flavor. Gratuity is already added in the bill irrespective of the people even though the receipt says for party of 4 and above.
As usual, alamir has best service bartenders lisbeth and Michele. A good variety of international music. Food is authentic, flavorful and excellent. Service is amazing.Biggest dance floor anywhere. Always a blast to be there on Saturday night and the new covered bar outside is a cool and awesome idea.
Dont recommend giving your money to this place. The service was slow and the waitress did not keep track of what each person ordered so we were charged for our friends orders. Also Im pretty sure the liquor is watered down and they charged a mandatory 20% tip (for bad service)! They also charge a non-cash fee. Hundreds of dollars wasted on bad service and watered down drinks. Will never go back.
Mediocre service. Also watch out for the server Moe as he will steal your credit cards and act like it went “missing”I befriended him (worst mistake) and he told me all the “secrets “ of this place. Needless to say, state will be paying them a visit soon.
The bartender added 20% gratitude for a bill with 4 drinks at the bar. I understand she was busy but she tried to reuse the used glasses as well. Don’t recommend at all.
Our experience was outstanding! Excellent service, our server Eddie was outstanding, very professional, and friendly despite the fact we were a large party. Atmosphere is very authentic and music was super fun and truly international. Nora and Moh are also very friendly and professionals. Saturday night is truly a lot of fun.
$9 for a beer! They also include a 20% tip in your bill after 10pm. Not for large parties, just in general for any drink you order. The sign that posts that information is conveniently blocked by the tip jar. Place is overcrowded, very ghetto,, and waaaaay overpriced, basically a complete rip off. Won’t be go back and can not recommend to family and friends.
Music is good but customer service sucks! My daughter had a dinner reservation for a large group(25) made well ahead of time for her Birthday. The table was set for far lesser number(16) and she was told It’s a busy night and they just have to manage. So not exactly great for large group celebrations.
Pretty neat atmosphere and great for parties. Food can take a while if the place is busy however its worth the wait, in the meantime you could dance, drink, snack, play games, chill, etc. Only issue is that if the music bothers you after a while the only way to avoid it is to go to the outside lounge. Else that, its a nice place to be!
I’ve been to AL-Amir many times and always have a good time . The music and drinks are great. Bahaa is the best manager ever always helpful and respectful. The decor and interior are a vibe. The energy is crazy! Def recommend.
The music is mostly Persian and Halai instead of having actual Arabic or Turkish hits.Food is super expensive and the worst part is on their menu card is no price of the Hookah which later on on the check is 40$ !First and last time I been there!Total disappointment
Good for bollywood music lovers. They have Arabic dance nights on Friday. I would just say that drinks are really heavily priced. Its Good for group parties. Apart from everything its been fun every single time being there so they are doing something right.
Definitely a fun place to be on the weekend. Drinks are expensive but definitely a good time. You nhave to use valet to park if not you will be driving around for 30 mins. Valet is 10$ I believe. They blocked off 2/3 of parking lot for valet only. Its a busy place. They do have good hookah and sometimes decent belly dancers.
Delicious food, awesome staff. Was there for Wednesday comedy show night and unfortunately the comedians did not put forth ANY effort to showcase their personal talents. Im assuming due to the small turn out. There was only about 25 guests. Lets give 100% even when you think no ones watching. You never know whos in the midst.
The food quality is mediocre. There is lots of smoke in the bar. People smoking cigarettes and hooka. I wish they limit the smoking to outdoors. Its nice that they play various music but DJ was at most 3 of 5 on a Saturday night. Groupon is not valid on weekend which considering the quality the food is pricy.
My friends and I have been here on Friday night and the place is very over crowded and theres no space at all. You just cant enjoy yourself. I wouldnt suggest anyone to go during weekends.
First they made us mixed drinks that had absolutely no alcohol in them. We complain, and they made new drinks for us. Within 5 minutes of drinking then you drinks, me and my friend got sick. This never happens to us. We complain to the manager, who rolled his eyes and told us to go to the hospital and bring him a bill. very rude. Very sarcastic. They think theyre better than everybody because its the only Arab are in the area. Never coming back. Do not recommend coming here ever for a night out
Great modern middle eastern dark atmosphere and smoky vibePerfect for a evening of sheesha and some middle eastern food. Staff is great and security is tight. Fridays and saturdays are very busy due dance nights (bollywood/international) and take reservations. Cover charge is $10 and valet parking available for $10.
Worst valet parking service. Never step into this restaurant leaving your car to an untrustworthy valet service. Lost $300 worthy sunglass and those guys clearly denied and did not take any responsibility. We made such a costly mistake. And valet parking service is such a rip off for a place like this. Totally not worthy
I love the food and atmosphere! A tad pricey if you go all out. I spent 300 on 3 of us and I was the only one drinking 😱 I still say it was worth it! the food is AMAZING!! The belly dancers we great..just check it out:-)
They charged 20 dollars per person at the door to get in. The vibe wasnt that great inside, and the DJ was less than entertaining.I gave 1 star however because the service was atrocious and completely lacking in any sense of hospitality. I also just realized today (and its why I went to leave this review) that they forged a number on the gratuity because I clearly remember tipping 1 dollar for 2 weak crown and cokes and awful service, yet my card was charged as if I tipped 8$. DO NOT COME HERE
This place is good for vibing and partying. I went on Fridays for Bollywood theme and it was really nice. The entrance fee is around 10$ but its worth the experience.
Kind of pricey for what you get. Nice atmosphere, music and dance floor. Serving was typical. Nothing above average. Lamb chops were really good but tiny. And Im not a big portion kind of guy. The rice was not hot and could have been sitting for a bit, not very tasty, just plain.
Love coming early during the weekend to enjoy the belly dancing show along with delicious food while at night getting some good drinks and great dj
Overly priced drinks which are watered down so much you hardly feel anything. All you get is to pee and feel hydratedHookah is not strong. Not sure if it’s only on Bollywood nights cos it’s usually super crowded then and they’re trying to rob people off for over charging diluted alcohol and baseless smoke. I would highly suggest not to drink or smoke here on Bollywood nights(I’ve only been here then). Save your money not your time here. DJ is nice though, plays not just bollywood but a mix of Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Mexican etc a good diversity of songs.
Worst experience ever… I have been coming here for the longest and on Saturdays and I am just very upset.I took my family who was visiting us from out of town thinking this is a perfect place to show Dallas party place with good service and good food but sad to say that we left without eating after 2 hours of waiting. We left at 11 pm without eating..I had called ahead to reserve a table but not only was my table given to other people but we are given a corner table in a congested area. Plus let me talk about service,..the worst service ever !!!But only we had to wait 45 mins for someone to come ask for water and our drink order.plus the server was arguing with my family members.Looks like this place doesn’t value its loyal customers anymore..
Awesome. Server was great. Gave us a very nice dessert which surprised my aunt especially because her birthday was 2 days ago. Nice as atmosphere. The service was excellent as well as the food. Will come back again.
Overrated and Over hyped. On Fridays(Bollywood/Tollywood night), the place is packed(If you could get some air and space to move your arm, consider yourself lucky). Hookah is good but lasts only for about 40 minutes. Drinks are way too expensive.Avoid it! If visiting Dallas for the first time, you might be interested and hyped to visit this place but all youll be left with is disappointment.Major drawback- The CROWD. On all my visits, I see people involved in petty fights and arguments outside the club.
When we sat waitress said you have to spend 20 per person to keep table. We took the table. As we go, she said you have to spend 40 per person. It seems the waitress here are strippers who keep adding on the rates.Poor taste of food.Play list is OK for bollywood songs.Hell expensive.Loot machake rahi hai!
My friends and I had a great time here Saturday night. The service was great - Primo, Ahmad, Adnan and their team made us feel at home. Food and atmosphere is second to none in Addison 👌
Horrible unpleasant experience. We went here on Saturday night with my friend. All we’ve ordered only one dish rest were drinks. Server didn’t pay attention to our table much. I had to ask another server to find ours to get refills on water (took half hour to do so) and order more drinks. Once we got our check we were shocked they’ve put 20% gratuity in it automatically. When I went all over the place to look for our server his explanation was simple we add it every Friday and Saturday automatically to every check. It never said so. It’s said of table of 4 or more it’s automatic. Was only 2 of us. I’ve tried to skip complaining in public comments. But that’s what you get for not responding to your emails since Sunday morning. Thank you so much for horrible experience. Never again and do not recommend to others.
The food was good but it would be nice if when you ordered the garlic chicken you knew you were getting half of a chicken on the bone. Not very easy or attractive to eat when on a date. I also found it odd that they were out if tea and didnt offer any cocktails. Only beer or wine for alcohol options. Others with me got the lamb and chicken kabobs which were also good snd much easier to eat while on a date.
Took a friend here for her birthday. The server we had was so rude because he automatically assumed that we wouldnt be buying anything. But became nicer once we did.Its a pretty fun dance/hangout spot!Definitely a different type of hookah lounge than what Im used too.
