The bad review is directed at the bar. Don’t use cash here! Ramon, one of the bartenders takes your cash and then claims you gave him a smaller denomination and pockets the rest. My wife even tried to talk with him and the security person and we were met with nothing but attitude by him. When I asked to talk with a manager, he said he was the manager and that was it. The security suggested we reach out to the owner of the club but didn’t give us a name. The bartender then threatened to kick us out of the club. I’m a 54 year man with his wife in town for a few days and simply wanted to go dancing. This said, the drinks were expensive for the quality they served but the music was good and there was room to dance. Ramon, I hope the money you stole (steel) will help feed your family or put shoes on your children’s feet. God bless you.
The wings are the best! The variety of music is great if you’re ready to dance salsa, bachata, hip hop r&b. The owner is so fun, the security guards are super kind. It’s a great local spot for Alhambra. They also offer dance lessons
If you are a salsa, merengue, bachata, or house music lover, and dancer, you must go to California’s premier Latin dance club! The atmosphere is friendly and community focused with the best drinks and food to top the night! We spend many weekends enjoying dancing to live music with many of our friends. I also recommend Granada for private events and weddings. It’s a place you must go too!
Came here for the first time and was overwhelmed by the welcoming staff! Everyone was great, the music was amazing and the food was delicious! I will definitely be coming back with more friends!
What an amazing place The Granada LA had a great time Saturday night . The dancers on the floor were amazing intimidating but encouraging to take some classes and learn to dance salsaEveryone seem to be having a great time .Love live music the salsa band was amazing inside and outside had a Dj playing enjoyed that too . 1st time there was impressWill start beginner class Thursday .
Great place to dance salsa I was there last night had so much fun. The staff there was great from the security to the bartenders highly recommended
What an amazing establishment! I had the best time dancing the night away and you couldn’t ask for better service. The best salsa club in LA, hands down!
Very beautiful venue! Attended the State of the City and everything was fabulous! The food, the decorations, the service, the room, were all so amazing!
The Rueda and Salsa classes are fantastic! The instructors are first class and whether you are new to Latin dances or a seasoned dancer, the Granada will not disappoint!
Disappointing experience. Outdoor area had no DJ, bartender was playing music from his phone. He kept changing songs halfway through, would straight up stop the song altogether. Very unprofessional.
Not good quality dancers here. Everyone is partying and drinking. Not what it used to be, the music is not very up to date.
First time here on a Tuesday, which was their Taco Tuesday nights. 9pm is when the social dancing starts. The venue has 3 floors. The main floor has high ceilings and balcony lookout on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor has smaller rooms for classes. The main dance floor is quite spacious and has a full bar. They have a few classes that start before 9pm. I came at 8pm to take the salsa 1 for beginners class. It was $15 to drop in for the class. They also had advanced classes available. After my class, 9pm the social dancing started. Most of music was salsa and the occasional bachata and merengue. There were so many people willing to dance so you should have no problem finding someone to dance with. I saw one girl that didnt know how to dance at all and the guy went slowly and taught her some advanced moves. In general the people were nice here.Parking is free across the street in the parking garage. It will say 4 hours max but I dont think anyone cares.
This place is gross plain and simple. inappropriate treatment of younger ladies in the dance scene by the older men here
I like to support the bar when going to a salsa bachata event, BUT not when you give me some knock off don julio. And I know it was some well tequila because I was drinking don julio beforehand.Either they bought some bootleg alcohol or they were marrying well tequila with empty don julio bottles.
Awesome dance place, went here for salsa night and lessons with my wife and friends and had a great time! After lessons past 9:30 they have a free practice time and that has been a lot of fun.
No place to seat, if you dont reserve a table for 150 in consumer you can stay stand all time. We pay 20 dlls per person but no place to seat. Only salsa qnd bachata, we decided go out of place. If you dont dance salsa o bachata definitely this place is no for you. But is a nice place
Great place for salsa and bachata.
This is an amazing place to dance Salsa, Bachata and other latin rhythms. Went there last Saturday night, Nov 19th, and I had a blast. Music by DJ Picoso was awesome!
My first time going to this place. Hector was teaching Bachata 1 and then Bachata 2. He is a great teacher! I highly recommend taking class with him, Group or private. Thank you Hector for a great class!
I love the vibes! It feels very comfortable, music is always on point! Friendly people and it’s just a perfect place to go to if you simply want to enjoy spanish music and dance. So great
A great place to spend a weekend night dancing! Salsa and bachata classes going into the social dancing at night. A restaurant on the second floor overlooking the main dance floor. Live music every now and then to dance to! An enjoyable experience whether you are a beginner or an advanced Latin dancer! Something for everyone!18 and older are able to dance at night. The also play reggaeton music at the outdoor bar which is nice.Highly recommend!
GREAT PLACE FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION! We discovered The Granada LA while taking dance lessons for our wedding and fell in love with the classic architecture and friendly staff! It turned out to be the prefect place for our fun and fancy-free wedding reception! Kristy and her staff were great to work with - arranging the space to fit our needs and working effortlessly with our budget and time constraints. And the street tacos were so amazing! :). This is also a great place to go and get your groove on during the weekend. We cant recommend The Granada LA enough!
Never danced so many styles in my LIFE! Amazing Amazing place worth more than the cover. Band was great and lessons were great and the advanced dancers knew their stuff. LOVED IT!
The intro salsa class on Friday nights is pretty good. They teach the basics: right turns, crossbody, and basic step. It costs $15 dollars and you can stay the night and practice with a live band. Best to bring your own practice partner. If you buy the 6 class punch card for 68 dollars, it comes out to ~11.50. I think its a good deal. One thing to note, if you are a total beginner, come at the start of the month. Its a progressive class and it gets harder later in the month. They dont tell you this on the website.I give it 4 stars. Minus one star because I bought a drink at the bar and when I went to throw away some napkins one of the workers grabbed my drink and threw it away. I was only gone for 10 seconds. They wouldnt give me a refund or replace my drink.
Interesting night club with performances and social dance competitions. If you really want to dance not be harassed by overly drunk people this is a good environment. Two rooms and a patio gives you salsa, bachata and hip hop/rhythm music. Plus theres a free parking garage across the street so you dont have to walk far.
I was invited here last night by a co-worker and I will be back. The energy here was great. I loved seeing everyone dance and have a good time. I will need to brush up on some moves and stretch next time I come here lol.PS... the live band was amazing
Have you ever heard of a wine The Granada LA ?! Neither did I! This is the first time I had their Grape Drank aka wine . There is multiple flavors like peach, watermelon, orange The Granada LA OG and strawberry. I had the peach one, but I was disappointed that it was just original flavor with peach syrup. I did like they have a sparkling tap you can get yourself! Beats asking the bartender for water! The Granada LA
Great place for latin social dancing, a lot of great dancers. Beautiful main dance floor. Had the best time ever before the pandemic, so thankful I had to check this place out Pre-Corona!
I come all the way from Orange County just to see DJ Picoso whenever hes working here. I would definitely go more frequently if he was offered to play there more. Thank you for acknowledging my request of having DJ Picoso featured at The Granada.
Only reason why 3 stars because the dj outside patio was super horrible. How can u play like 4 5 songs 3 4 times??? Theres plenty of music out there and he threw the vibe out the window. Hope u guys make a change. My group had fun but complained bout the music
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Granada LA, located at 17 South First St. in Alhambra, is a Three-story entertainment venue decorated in tasteful and timeless 1930′s style. We have elegant ballrooms available for rental for your wedding reception or other formal event. The Granada LA is the home to a Ballroom, Latin & Salsa dance studio with Los Angeles hottest salsa dance instruction. We offer several nights with live entertainment and dancing to show off all you have learnt.
Loved salsa and bachata at this dance club. Cover wasnt too expensive, and there were lots of people there for the great music. Drinks werent cheap, but not too expensive either.
I went there today and I was there for 10mins and I didn’t like it because there were people 3X or 4X older than my age And nobody I could relate and everybody has already a partner it’s mostly people in their 40s or older.. i wanted to get a refund but I didn’t get a refund even though I was there only for 10 mins and I don’t know they didn’t give refunds because the refund letter is so small..
Expensive for the kind of atmosphere, never again; don’t come; don’t waste your time or your money in this place

I went to celebrate my partners and another friends birthday, we spent more than. 1000 dollars in the account and the securities treated us like criminals I do not recommend this place the securities think they are poor cops especially the one with chains thinks he is Scarface that is not the way to treat customers bad service 100 💯 go somewhere else
Bad service the securities have problems especially the chains thats note movie my boy relax bad service not recommended
Simply Best the Best I went Saturday to spend a night ofFathers Day atmosphere 100% service 100%
Its a disgusting place, the security of the chains thinks hes a gangster and treats people badly, even though the account was given away, very bad service, I dont recommend it 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I really like it when the atmosphere is salsa, however I was there for the 4th of July & I didnt like the DJs mix at all, he was repeating the songs, he didnt liven up the atmosphere and he ignored the requests of certain clients regarding the music. Also one of the security people (a big man with braids in his hair) was very rude to my group of friends to take away their drinks, the other securitys did it very kindly but he was very disrespectful, I asked him to give us time & The only thing he answered was “I dont care.”I would like them to train more the people who have to be working there with clients.
Bad service I dont recommend it wack
Excellent place to dance to Latin rhythms...live music and the dance floor is huge.
Excellent atmosphere. The people are fine and they know how to dance
The truth is, the first time you see that I went, I loved the place and of course I will continue going.
The only thing missing is more seats or chairs at the bar.🤗
Excellent service, good music
To dance salsa! The best in L A
Beautiful place
Live salsa!
