Jay is Old college buddy . Came to his location a few times. Always pleasant, always a good time. Its a distance from where I am in queens but its always nice to see Jay.

This place is way to load for me. Cant hear someone even right next to you. Karaoke is basically every single night. The only plus to this is the old fashion video games they have.

Its the only real karaoke bar on the island. Currently only open Wednesday through Sunday, its THE place if you like to sing.The crowd is extremely eclectic. Every night, youll find people from 21-60 years old. Its been open this long for a reason. You will not find overly drunk or self-righteous people there.They do parties and other occasions if you let them know. There are video games throughout if you need a diversion or want to be competitive with your friends.This place has been consistent since theyve opened (over 20 years). If you sing, just know that youll never sound better then you do there. The sound system there is better than youll ever find anywhere else.The management has never and will never let this place become a place that youll want to avoid.

Eat before you go..there pizza is worse than a dollar store ellios.... but the karaoke is better than a concert..they even have auto tune for horrible singers..props .video..stage..its your own private Idaho..the largest selection of songs..more tvs to watch sports News video games..all they need is good finger food with my drinks and Im moving in

While it was my second time doing karaoke, it was my first time doing so at an official karaoke club. I was a bit nervous, but the atmosphere was so friendly, thanks to the warmth of owner Jay Antonio and his main bartender (Ozzy), along with their regular patrons. As a result, my nerves quickly calmed, and I ended up dancing and singing for hours. My only regret is that this place is too far from where I live to revisit. (I was in the area for a conference, and unfortunately that conference is slated to be in another location next year.) But for anyone who lives close enough, I highly recommend The Lizard Lounge and would give it higher than 5 stars if that were possible.

I have been here so many times, I have had fun everytime. The music varies because of the karaoke but they are always good songs. The crowd is very supportive too. You got blends of English,spanish music. Bartenders are very attentive, Fabian took care of us and was right on top of us making sure we were okay. Their price for drinks are super reasonable. They also have a variety of games around the bar to keep you occupied. Jay Antonio always making sure we are taken care of as well from the moment we walked inThe pizzas are made super quick and taste really good.

Not black people friday in 2023 !!!I asked the bartender for a drink and he asked for ID.. ok i left mine in the car....a friend of mine had her id and asked for drink.... he tells her that hes not stupidok so i go out and get my id...the bartender did the most ! squeezing his eyes and my id.... bring a flashlight to it then bring it behind the counter...he did no such thing with any other customer...i went behind the counter to grab my id ready to leave...he proceeds to and me whats my sign but that point i didnt want iti felt racism took a big play...he said its because hes never seen me before but.... it doesnt matter.i was the only black one there and being treated to poorly for a $6 drink.....

Lizard lounge was so much fun! The staff were all so friendly and personable, very quick and also TALENTED! They all did a couple songs also. I did one with the bartender. The drinks were good, the food was good. They have so many pizza toppings. The entire atmosphere was so bright and fun. They had every single song I requested. It was fun for al ages. It was most of the best nights I’ve had with my girlfriends in a while!

Great place to spend evening. They have all kinds of video games, even the early 90’s one and that to at bar counters. You get a feeling of gaming parlour while drinking.. Their karaoke is great (good sound) the staff is very friendly/well behaved and the owner takes care of you completely. I came here far away from home in a different country all together. They made me feel home. No wonder they are running business from last two decades.I highly recommend this place.

I went for the first time on Saturday night and I was hesitant to start but what an AMAZING PLACE. The atmosphere and vibe was so fun and inviting. The drinks were great and the bartenders were the absolute best. Bartenders kept checking on me an ensuring that I was getting plenty of water. I’ve been going to the Lizard Lounge with my friends for several years now. It’s always been a blast, I’ve never been to a karaoke bar where they can find any song you think of. The owner jay, on top of being incredibly handsome is rediculously sweet! He makes every patron feel comfortable enough to get up there an sing their heart out. The drinks are amazing!! I had one of my favorite birthday parties here and the staff there made me feel amazing!

I dont know if this is gay Saturdays. But in nowhere or reviews do they say that it is a gay bar/lougeBut they had gay content playing on about 4 TVs. I am not leaving this, to degrade the bar but to inform my fellow straight men, watch out for saturdays here.

Lizard Lounge Friday night karaoke is iconic. Really cool people, never had a bad experience and the music selection is huge - classics, modern jams, and everything in between. The owner has always been there when Ive gone and is incredibly friendly. Great for karaoke newbies and professionals alike. Cant wait to go back.

This is simply the best karaoke bar in Suffolk County at the very least. Clean, affordable, welcoming, and a blast of a time. The staff are extremely friendly and kind as well. Would absolutely recommend for hanging out or singing.

This is the first bad review I’ve ever given in my life. I had a good time at this bar with my friends! Reason I am giving one star is because our bad experience with the bartender/guy who controlled karaoke outweighed any good experience we had here. He cut my boyfriend off mid-song, and berated his performance in front of a bar full of people. When I approached him about it, his reasoning was because he “knocked over his light” on stage. He was dancing, singing having fun and entertaining the crowd and didn’t realize he made an honest mistake. We spent a lot of money this night on drinks and waited a very long time to go on stage to sing just to be treated like this. I understand you have valuable equipment on stage but this is a karaoke bar, that’s really how you handle someone making a mistake? By publicly embarrassing someone? You should be ashamed of yourself. People, if you want to have a good time signing karaoke do NOT go to this bar.

Jay was an amazing owner, host, my, and DJ. It was a great time and i felt like one of the regulars. A safe space to come with friends. The karaoke was low key enough that I even tried for my first time!!!

Absolutely love this place. Jay is one hell of a dude. Remembers everyone and is so chill...even let my husband beat him in a game of Smash Bros lol. The emcees are always awesome and the rest of the guests are so courteous and encouraging...I feel like a celebrity every time I leave the stage 🤣. This place is a whole vibe that everyone should experience.

Bartenders were very friendly. J Antonio is so cool. They wont force you to go to the stage to sing and drinks are very affordable. Crowd is calm and appreciative of singers. Restroom is clean.

One of the best Karaoke clubs in the world! Straight up the crowd is energetic and awesome. The DJ doesnt play favorites and has a ton of songs. The vibe is perfect. If you wanna let loose and have fun, come here!

Have been a few times now and always have an absolute blast there. Its super-welcoming to all kinds of people and the bartenders really take care of you. Its so much fun singing and dancing with everyone and its cool that there are all kinds of old-school games to play too, including the new Smash! Let me start by saying I highly recommend this spot to be visit. The bartender Jay,H,&Manny are very welcoming and have outstanding customer service, they are very respectful this is one peaceful none judgemental lounge. I was always against karaoke bars my girlfriend finally convinced me to visit the lizard lounge and let me tell you for my first experience I was shocked, no fight everyone was respectful even down to the guest who also visit the location of lizard lounge. Clean bar, multiple gaming station, clean restroom multiple tv screen playing different things such as sports, news, tv shows ECT and the main big screen of the lyrics to the song right above your head at the bar. Im very pleased to know I visit lizard lounge and Im looking forward to visiting again, maybe a few more visits and a few more shots Ill probably go on stage and karaoke away. Manny & Jay were amazing and very hospital!!! Made singing karaoke so easy and got my girl to sing (she never sings ). We popped in a Wednesday night with only a few people and it was some of the most fun we’ve had. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for karaoke, a hidden gem 💎 10/10

The staff was great, especially the beautiful bartender who agreed to marry me...so nice of her. The music was great and the karaoke was awesome. We had a great time and I got to sing about 7 songs (if I remember the entire night correctly)! Definitely going back.

I had my birthday party here last Saturday night and we had an amazing time! I called ahead of time to see if I needed to make a reservation and they just told me as long as I got there before 9 PM I could have the platform tables. Sure enough they were reserved for me when I got there which was so nice! The karaoke is super professional, sounds great, and the staff are very friendly. Bar staff were also very accommodating and drink prices were reasonable with drink specials announced each hour for $5-6, not too bad! The only downside was that a rush of people came in around 11 and we had to wait for all the new people to sing before we could sing again, which took about 2 hours. Some of my friends couldnt wait that long so ended up leaving. I completely understand how they run the show though and that Sat is the busiest night. If you want to be able to sing more than 2 songs in a night, I would recommend going on a weekday night or Friday.

This is honestly the best place Ive gone to. The have karaoke video games and a smash tournament every wed. Ive never had more fun since 15 yrs ago when I use to sing karaoke. The people here are awsome whether its jay kas fern or Armando, they all make sure ur having fun and are safe about it. Wed thru sat are the best days I have now. Ty you all for everything

The Lizard Lounge is a comfortable bar with a mellow vibe and a handful of regulars who can sing karaoke like Aaron Judge plays baseball. They hit for the seats while some just go down swinging.This place is close to where I live and work. On my first visit I didnt know what to expect or if I would fit in, but what I observed was a laid back crowd who gave me some enthusiastic applause after each song. At least they were listening! Yeah, I like this place and its about time I visit again after four years. Maybe tonight Ill go there instead of Manhattan to sing.

Best hours of our two years on the island were spent in this wonderful (and wonderfully loud and uplifting) sound sanctuary. I love everybody that has anything to do with this place and if you think I’m talking to you—I am.And really, regardless of location, there just are not enough night life options like this anymore. After quarantine, I will never take such joyful nights for granted ever again.(P.S. I promise I’ll come visit. Maybe even reprise some stand up, make it an event? We’ll talk.)Everybody else—go there. If you don’t like it, just make sure you didn’t hit a slow night and not give it another chance. If you still don’t like it. Well. It’s likely we just have very different personalities. 🦎🎤❤️

I saw after coming to this establishment that it’s not nearly as busy as it used to be. I truly feel that a change of staff is what’s best to get lizard lounge alive again, owning a business myself. The bartenders are pretentious and misanthropic. I came very late around 1:00 AM. I had been at home drinking with my three friends before hand. I was already intoxicated so I was responsible as just got a sprite and a water. My one friend was the designated driver because she had not drunken anything the whole night. Subsequently she drinks two Long Island iced teas and ends up drunk. My other friend also had a couple drinks and does not have a drivers license. I was a little frantic. I kindly asked the bartender the equivalent of a Long Island iced tea in terms of drinks. Trying to figure out our best course of action, having being somebody who takes drunk driving very seriously. The bartender was extremely rude and said “at least she’s paying money, you only drank water you can drive”. I tried to explain I had been drinking before we came but he just walked away. Aside from that I was carded twice. First when I came in. And after I ordered my sprite I was carded again. My two other friends were only carded once. I explained that I was already carded when I first came in, but he said I have to card you again. Not only was this humiliating, I am also 26 years old. I was made to feel like my ID was fake and I was a delinquent. I believe the rule in places that serve alcohol is you get carded once. I was in the parking lot for a while due to a fight with my drunken designated driver, who chugged two Long Island iced teas and also has an incredibly low tolerance. She went to use the bathroom and they asked for us to give them a yelp review. I sat on this thought for a couple weeks. You’ll realize that you are losing business but don’t necessarily seem to be getting bad reviews. What I can tell you is most people will not write bad things online with their name under it. Most feel too ashamed or embarrassed to bad mouth people. Which is honestly how I felt the past couple weeks. However I was just watching my karaoke video and realize how unique and fun lizard lounge is. I believe if you got rid of the surly bartenders and hired more personable, out going people you’d drive more business. A long with continuing the $5 dollar drink specials. I do feel bad for writing this review. But felt I wouldn’t be doing another business owner any favors if I didn’t tell him the truth. I wish you the best of luck. I wanted to add usually I will order a lot of drinks and get the pizza as well. However because it was last minute and already intoxicated I didn’t order any alcoholic beverages. I have run up an 100 dollar bar tab at this lounge and always loved coming here. Unfortunately I have had bad encounters with the bartenders. There was only one bartender I liked, she was an average sized brunette, looked Italian, in her early 20s, she was so sweet and friendly, you should get her back. I don’t want to seem like I am attacking this bar or the owner. Lizard lounge is one of the only bars I like to go to. Over the course of about two years I have been there many times. I just wanted to give some honest feedback. I do however love the atmosphere, the $5.50 drink specials are all amazing, the pizza is very good and nothing beats being able to sing your favorite songs with friends in a clean/near bar. However the people that work behind the bar have ruined my experiences there.

I got yelled at by the bartender for ordering more drinks after closing my tab… who does that? I thought we were staying for one drink, and then we wanted to stay longer so I went back to the bar for another drink and the bartender said “are you really opening and closing another tab? If you keep doing this we’ll have to ask you to leave” and after that, the same bartender kept skipping me on the karaoke line… the place wasn’t packed at all… I guess that’s what you get in a place called the Lizard Lounge.I tip 20% minimum because I have worked in the industry. I tipped 20% on my first tab, and even though they were rude, I tipped 20% on my second (and final) tab. Won’t return here, and won’t recommend it to anyone. Which is a shame because there aren’t many karaoke places on Long Island.There was a guy in a star wars costume just hanging around all night and we went outside to catch our cab home and the star wars guy was like “yeah, that’s the owner, I used to work here and he’s always been miserable and rude”.Edit: The Lizard Lounges reply does not accurately capture what happened that night. I did not ask to close my tab repeatedly after purchasing a single drink - each tab consisted of a drink for myself and drinks for 4 others and each tab was well over $50 before tip. I was definitely skipped on the karaoke line, which was weird because there was hardly anyone in the bar, except for the aforementioned star wars costumed guy (who sang repeatedly and frequently re-started songs if he messed a part up) and another small bachelorette party. Ive never been asked to leave a bar/restaurant up until my visit to the Lizard Lounge and have never been treated that way elsewhere. Again, I tipped the industry standard 20% but I regret doing so.Bottom line: dont come here expecting a typical or clean bar with standards. The couch in the back was falling to pieces and the tables were very sticky. If you want a dive karaoke experience, go to the Lizard Lounge.

Ermagherd...I have been coming to Lizard Lounge for well over a decade, and not only is the karaoke selection impeccable, but the hospitality is top notch. I feel like family when I come here. Great drink pours and I’ve met some of my best friends here. They have also installed video games and it’s like a Karaoke Arcade!!! So much fun. I will be back over and over again!!!

I have never had such a good time at a bar. The video games are extravagant, almost a flash back in time. The people have met at this bar will be peopleI plan to see every time I come here. This bar doesnt even deserve one star. They require you to purchase two overpriced drinks in order to even be in this establishment. If you go in with a group of friends and/or are the designated driver or simply dont feel like drinking youll be asked to leave. His place is extremely overpriced and only will provide water for paying customers. His staff is rude and obnoxious. The owner is even worse. Careful ladies...this owner wont hesitate to push you out the door LITERALLY if you dont meet his standards. Dont dare go in there if your tattooed and pierced because you will be profiled and denied service and any form of respect. You cant even enter this bar to ATTEMPT (attempt being the key word because you wont have fun here) to have any kind of fun if you dont purchase anything...because you will be call a loiter. Stay as far away from this bar is possible. Its trash just like its owner.

Check out the karaoke nights & dont get the wrong idea from the outside appearance, the inside it state of the art & modern! BTW the Bar Pizzas are delicious!

The owners, bartenders, and hosts really know what they are doing because this place is kicking. I went from not knowing about the lizard lounge to becoming a regular. The people that come in are awesome and all share the same goal of singing karaoke at an awesome lounge and absolutely not judging anyone on songs and believe me I had some bad song moments. I completely recommend the Lizard Lounge.

Came here on a Sunday night after looking for a bar on Yelp. Found this place and went to check it out. It was nice and clean. Video games at the bar and music from karaoke.I was with my girlfriend and we sat at the bar. As we went to order some beers, she realized she forgot her ID, so the bartender didnt allow her to drink.She was disappointed so we ordered a beer and soda. First of all, she is of legal drinking age, so she drank from mine a few times, but the bartender said she couldnt do it or wed be kicked out. Thats fine. Since we couldnt drink as a couple and I wasnt going to drink alone, I drank alone and snuck her some in an empty glass so we can leave quickly.At the end, when we wanted the bar tab, the bartender accused us of writing a bad review by showing us the review on his cellphone. The review I later found out was by Dylan McKay. He thought it was me because he saw me on my iPhone (I was playing a game on my phone).We had a back and forth saying he should calm down and that I didnt do any such thing (he was worked up and was taking it personally). He didnt believe me, but guess what? Heres MY review of my experience there (on Valentines Day).Nice place, would come again, but not with the bartender we saw tonight.Oh yeah, the review he accused me of writing was probably from last Sunday or earlier in the night. Googles review only says it happened within the last week and NOT an exact day.

Gary and Jay are awesome! They make the best Long Island iced teas!!! They have 9 different kinds of flavors for it, best on the island !!!! Karaoke nights are so much fun, and the games are so fun :)

I live 3 hrs away and this is one of the BEST hidden places in LI. Fabulous staff, great music and the list can go on and on. There is entertainment for everyone, whether you like to sing karaoke, dance to some great beats and/or if your a gamer (consoles are everywhere).

Just be careful when you go there! Some people with some attitude, very rude!I was charged $10 for a virgin pina colada.Not so much mad about the over priced drink but the waiters attitude. Im seriously considering reporting them to BBB....

I dont know what the other reviews are talking about, i was at the Lizard Lounge last Friday for a friends birthday and we did karaoke. The place was clean, the bartenders were very nice, the karoke was good, and they have video games set up. Cant wait to go back.

This place was really chill. The bartender took care of me and he noticed that I didnt drink alcohol. So when somebody bought me a shot and I had to refuse, he made sure it got to somebody that would be able to drink it. That kind of thing avoids trouble and spared my feelings.

The karaoke aspect of this bar is the only reason why I went. When I asked for a cup of water, usually complimentary in most bars, the bartender demanded to see my ID and then proceeded to charge me $3 for a bottle of water for my friend that was clearly in need of water. I had no cash and they refused to do a charge on my credit card, having a limit. My friend became ill and we left. Wouldnt go back.

However this place also provides gaming systems for multiplayer on Nintendo Cube, N64 and and really nice stage for singing. Beverage catalog has an enormous selection and offers a decent amount of space for interaction with other patrons.Have been there a few times for a Cosplay event hosted by White Duck Events. People came dressed as characters from Movies/Tv/comics and had a great time. Very friendly.

This place has something going every night. Karaoke Every day, but Monday. I recommend Wednesday, it is Gamer Night. Service is great and is always a blast to come down to.

We went to a super smash bros tournament, the host was an absolute mess, third place winner was removed from the roster and was told he would be hooked up after waiting an hour and a half for nothing, ruined the rosters, messed up the finals, didnt pay attention to anyone playing the games (lots of down time between rounds which he was using only 1 tv) and gave everyone who questioned him an attitude, called me and my 2 brothers guineas because were italian, not to mention he was sloppy and drunk on the job. This guy definitely ruined the experience, I believe his name was Jay and as long as hes hosting i will not be going back nor would i recommend this place to anyone. How he hasnt been fired already is beyond all of us. Btw all of his 5 star reviews are from him bribing people with free drinks, dont be fooled.

Very clean karaoke bar with a professional stage lighting and music system like none other Ive seen , , very friendly staff , they also have pizza if you get hungry , very clean rest rooms plenty of parking .
