Absolutely love Rupa. Not only is her work amazing, but you’re in and out. She gets the job done quick. Always makes sure you’re comfortable and talks with you through the service, creating a relationship with her costumers. Which honestly really helps makes the session not as painful and comforting. She gives you advice and tips which is very helpful! Been going to her since 2021 and I haven’t switched since!! The place is also very therapeutic, amazing atmosphere

An amazing experience each visit. Rupa is quick and efficient with my waxes, never missing a hair. She is also extremely personable and easy to be around, she makes you feel comfortable the whole appointment. I also just did the most relaxing facial with her, I was so relaxed I snoozed the whole time and my skin was absolutely glowing after. I’ve been seeing her for 1.5 years now and even after moving 45 minutes out of the city I make the trek every month just to see her!

I’ve been going to Ms. Rupa for sugaring for a few years now, and I will say that she is the best! It was my first experience ever and she made me feel great, I am always looking forward to our monthly appointment! The whole staff is awesome and Ms. Rupa makes me feel comfortable. I will 1000% recommend !

First, the pedicurist was very sweet/kind. However, I was very unsatisfied and would NOT recommend this salon for nails. My appointment was for 7:30 but I wasnt seen until about 7:50 since the previous appointment ran over. I was taken to a private room which was nice. However, you climb up 2 steps and sit on a bench with the sink of water below you. The bench is cushioned but not very comfortable nor adjustable as a seat normally would be to account for height differences and comfort. I am 53 and felt too short so sat uncomfortably straining the whole time. The pedicurist did ask if I was ok but there wasnt much to be done. When the pedicure did start, my feet were only scrubbed VERY lightly rather than a proper scrub to remove dead skin. My toenails were cut (with a cuticle cutter) and filed minimally and the shape was uneven. When she went to buff my toes she dug into a cup of used items first and then grabbed the tool from the kit she had opened for me. The first coat was applied before the toe separator was placed. After polishing, the dryer was brought up to my feet but there was no room and it grazed my toes when she placed it over my feet. I then held the dryer in place with my feet (it was just sitting on the ledge of the step so if I lifted my feet it would fall backwards). The pedicurist did add polish to multiple damaged toes but then when the dryer was placed again the same thing happened warranting a full removal and repolish on one toe. After this I asked if I could sit in a chair in the main room and place the dryer on the floor so I could control my feet going in as you normally do at a salon. She attempted to place slippers on my feet to walk but rather than foam thong sandles they were paper-like and slide style so I refused as it would cover my toes. So then I had to walk barefoot. Eventually I left at 9pm after an experience that left much to be desired. When I got home an hour later I could see the polish was uneven and still felt gummy. Although the pedicurist was very nice, I would NOT recommend going here for a pedicure.

Rupa is an amazing beautician! She is incredible at giving a brazilian sugar wax, and Im always impressed at how quick and professional she is. She usually finishes sugaring in 15minutes or so and then uses a tweezer for any remaining hairs. She always makes me feel comfortable and we chat or listen to her peaceful spa music. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Really appreciate Nawal’s work! She is precise, careful and intentional. You can tell she is experienced in what she does. I have waxed several several times and finding Nawal in Boston has been a great blessing! Quick, as little pain as possible when waxing 😆, and efficient!

I have been using Rupa’s services for 4+ years.Everything is seamless, professional and quality.I highly recommend her. She is extremely hard working and cares about how her work is done. She was a one woman show and now has a small team that has taken her years to build and train thoroughly. I have gotten serviced by her, Sonja and one other lady. All superb. Brazilian is all I do here and it is quick, less pain than regular waxing and thorough. I come 15 mins before my appointment to find street parking or you can use the car park. She is on time and will always update you with any changes. Her policies are fair and prices great compared to anywhere else. Thank you for providing great customer service.

I love coming here for the signature facials with Rupa. They are very relaxing as Rupa massages your face, and effective as Rupa thoroughly cleans my face with different products. I highly recommend and cant wait to go back for another!

Rupa is truly the best. I’ve been sugaring with her for a few years now and wouldn’t trust anyone else to do my brazilian. She is very responsive and flexible. She also hires great staff who I’ve had do my legs and under arms.

I had a series of disappointing experiences at this spa. First, I booked an eyebrow wax and tint through ClassPass, but only received the wax as they decided I didnt need the tint. They didn’t refund or credit me for the service not provided, and my appointment also started 15 minutes late.Next, I booked a nail appointment and arrived to find out there was no nail technician available on Mondays. They rescheduled me for four days later, but offered no compensation or refund for the inconvenience.For my rescheduled appointment, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued. I tried calling, leaving a voicemail, and texting to reschedule, but received no response. I had to walk in the storm to avoid losing my payment. The staff informed me only the owner has access to the contact number, who never replied. Once there, I discovered my booking was for a regular manicure instead of gel, which was unclear in the booking and disappointing.The technicians I encountered were kind

I have been waxing here for almost two years. I originally waxed with Ms.Nini (RIP) whom was sweet, delicate, professional and eventually became a friend. After her passing I continued with Rupa. Who may not be as sweet and personal as Ms.Nini but she is experienced and does a quick job. As for the pain, there are some days worse than others.I noticed recent negative reviews buy I think Rupa is nice and efficient. Some days she converses and others she doesnt. I dont see an issue with that, we dont always have to be in an extremely jolly mood.

I live in Southie and make it a point to go to the North End every month to see Rupa for sugaring because she is that good! I had been waxing elsewhere for awhile but wasn’t fully satisfied so I figured sugaring was worth a try. So glad I did it. Rupa is kind, calm and works SO fast. I’m in and out in such an efficient way without feeling rushed. Her spa is clean and she is professional. 10/10, worth making a trip for, I couldn’t be happier.

I arrived at my 11 am appointment and was told that two people were out sick and there was only one person working for the day. I understand that things happen--trust me--but I would have really appreciated a call, text, or an email letting me know. I received no type of communication. Furthermore, I was told that I was double booked by Class Pass. I have never had this as an issue before. Of course since it is the weekend, I cannot contact Class Pass on live chat and have to wait until Monday to possibly get my credits back, but I lost money traveling there and back only to not get an appointment that I will not get back. I had to leave after essentially paying for the service and not receiving it.

Sweet Nothing Spa is the absolute best. The environment is relaxing and sanitary, and Rupa is truly so kind, knowledgable, professional and amazing at her job. She is always on time and makes my service quick and easy (but does a thorough job, of course). I always look forward to my appointments with her! If you are thinking about trying out sugaring, DO IT!! It is 100x better than regular wax, especially for someone who has sensitive skin like I do. Rate: 1000/10!

Rupa is amazing! I was extremely nervous as this was the first time I have ever been waxed anywhere besides my eyebrows but Rupa made me feel extremely comfortable. I have always had a hard time with shaving as I have corse hair but Rupas sugaring has made my skin so soft with no breakouts or bumps. She also did my service at a quick pace making the dreaded experience I was preparing myself for, over within a few minutes. I would recommend Rupa and her sugaring to anyone, I feel so confident!

Rupa is amazing! I usually get sugaring done in NYC and was looking for a good place in Boston and I have definitely found it. She also did such a good job curling and tinting my eyelashes. She is super accommodating in booking appointments and is great to talk to, plus the salon is very clean. Will definitely keep going back!

Literally would leave 0 stars if I could. Her employee, Nini, unfortunately died prior to one of my appointments with her. I have faithfully been getting waxed by Nini for a whole year and considered her a friend. Upon news of her passing, I chose not to continue business with RUPA because she’s rude and treated Nini poorly (as Nini would tell me), Rupa refused to return my deposit that I paid to be waxed by NINI prior to her passing because I declined getting waxed by Rupa. She only ever waxed me one time because Nini was sick and I had already driven to Boston. The fact that she only cared to take nini’s customers instead of caring about her friends affected by her passing was sick. Very unprofessional and definitely as spiteful as Nini described her to be. RIP NINI!!!

So I ended up not receiving my service at Sweet Nothing Spa, but I wanted to share my experience (service provider no show?) in a hope that others may find it useful!I didnt book an appointment with Ms Rupa. Instead, I booked Free Brazilian with Ms Bridget - apparently it was a training session with a new hire. 2 days before, I got a confirmation email saying my appointment was moved from 11am to 7:15am. Since it is a free session, I thought I guess they just moved my appointment and showed up on time on the day of. The spa was closed. Then I found my original appointment email and showed up once again at 11am. The spa was again closed. I tried to reach Ms Rupa and Sweet Nothing Spa several times over phone and text, but I couldnt reach anyone. I didnt receive any emails or phone calls regarding the cancellation(?). So oddly enough I experienced no-show. Again, it was a Free Brazilian session and I would assume it would be a wonderful session. It was unfortunate that I didnt end up receiving the service.It was my mistake to not call in for confirmation few days before, but it would have been nice if they told me about the cancellation. I would make sure to call before you go for your appointment!

Rupa was great. I was very nervous because I’d never gotten anything like this done before but I felt extremely comfortable! She finished incredibly fast and was professional and kind the entire time! Highly recommended!

I called Rupa over an hour before my appointment because there was a lot a traffic to ask if she would still see me 10 minutes late and she still said to come in. I was 7 minutes late and she refused to see me. After leaving I received harassing texts and charges for services I did not receive. If you’re looking for natural, non harsh wax and a comforting experience Rupa is the lady for you! My skin has improved so much since I’ve been seeing Rupa for sugaring. Technician was lovely and Im happy with the sugaring results. She was very polite and understanding. Cute, clean facility.Im a little unhappy with the brow tint and facial. Id said that I wanted to look cute for a date in a few days and I feel like that didnt register w her because she did extractions -- I havent had that done before so didnt know it would leave previously minor blemishes looking inflamed and angry lol.Eyebrow shape is excellent. She waxed it perfectly.I was really excited to try brow tint for the first time and its definitely not the right color. It looked off in the spa but now that I can see it in normal light its like this charcoal grey-brown, and my hair is a warm brown...my eyebrows look almost black :-( She did try to lighten them but its just the wrong color.All-in-all, dropped $300 and it had the opposite of the confidence-boosting effect Id hoped for.

Rupa is amazing! So happy she’s reopened after having to close due to COVID19! I’ve been waxing my legs for the past 4 years and have NEVER had smooth results. Sugaring has been a game changer for my skin, soft and smooth for about 3 weeks! Rupa is meticulous and has a great technique to remove all hairs and exfoliate the skin.I work in a hospital so cleanliness is VERY important to me. Rupa changes her gloves at least 8 times while doing my legs. She also sanitizes all her equipment and furniture. If I could give her 10 stars I would.

You’re characterization of the events is deluded. You had moved my appointment twice without any input from me. I had to miss class in an attempt to fit your schedule that day, because you scheduled a time without asking me first. Moreover, that day was not a simple miscalculation of commute time, as I am always very punctual. The whole city of Cambridge had emergency shut downs. Transport across the whole greater Boston area was compromised and you have used that to take advantage of me.All I wanted from this situation was a little understanding. I would have been happy to have been refunded or rescheduled. I tried multiple avenues - messages to you, contacting BBB, and my bank- to resolve this and you chose to ignore all of them.Now you chose to attack me when you had every opportunity to make it right. I hope you develop better business practices in the future.Original Review:The owner of this business, Rupa, is shockingly unprofessional and has extremely predatory policies. She requires an deposit for each appointment that is 75% of the total cost of the appointment. This is a huge upfront cost for a simple deposit. Moreover, from my understanding, you cannot cancel an appointment without losing the deposit. All deposits are non-refundable, even if you cancel weeks before your appointment. She also requires that you reschedule a minimum of 48 hours ahead of the appt. or you will be charged the full amount + pay a new deposit to book again. All of these policies are predatory, and she doesnt hold herself to the same standard. She has changed my appointment a day to hours before, and rescheduled my appointments twice without speaking to me first. She will change appointment times without any correspondences, and then charge you the full amount when you cannot make it. She has charged me 48 dollars for an appointment that, was rescheduled twice without my input. I wasnt able to make it to the appointment time she set for various reasons (all out of my control) and has charged me anyways. I have texted her several times to work something out with her, and she has completely ignored me. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and she also ignored their attempts to investigate the matter. There is nothing I could do in this situation and Rupa took advantage for her own gain. Responded to nothing. Unprofessional. Predatory. Do not endorse.

Sweet Nothing Spa gave me an amazing sugar facial and removed a bunch of unwanted, unsightly hair from my brow board, my neck meat, and my ear vessels. Now I can hear way better, my expression isnt perpetually surprised, and I can wear my gold chains again without them snagging and tearing when I need to merge.

This was my first time trying sugar waxing (Id only tried normal soft wax before) and it was sooo much better. The first wax since quarantine restrictions started being lifted was a little rough, as to be expected, but my second wax was a fraction of the pain. Rupa is AMAZING. She talks you through exactly what is happening and is great at keeping you calm and distracted during your wax. Very clean office and everything is disinfected regularly and thoroughly.

This was my first sugar wax (first wax since quarantine). Not more pain than I expected coming out of a 3 month quarantine. So on a normal basis I’m guessing it’s almost painless. I love that all the sugar wax ingredients are natural. Rupa was great to work with. I don’t think I’ll go back to regular waxing!

Ive had great experiences all around with this newly opened salon. The place was clean and well set up with all new equipment. Its impossible not to love the owner. Shes personable and funny, in addition to being artful about her work and taking the craft seriously. Sugaring beat waxing in my opinion so I can see why its catching on. It left my chest in great shape, and I spent the time laughing instead of cursing! Also did a very thorough facial recently, and got great results.The building is one of the classic jewelry hubs from when that industry owned the area. Look for the black Jewelers Exchange sign on the building. Its in the heart of Downtown Crossing, right off all the T lines, so its hard to beat the location. I would definitely recommend giving this new salon a try.

The place is good, although anyone in the lobby can hear what’s going onThe lady who did my service was very nice but def not gentle and I had a few scabs afterward. My friends had the other worker and they didn’t get any scabs but we probably won’t be going here again
