The servers, soto, and Eric/Kate made our night PERFECT!!! We’re both from Charleston and frequent trio regardless, but they truly went above and beyond to make our night special. Cant beat Trio. GRACE is the best VIP host Ive ever had and I always request her section. She consistently anticipates guest needs/requests, exercises efficient communication and coordination with her clients, and continues to maintain excellent client relationships. Thanks for everything Grace!!

This place is GREAT! The vibe, decor and both floors are nice but upstairs is the place to go. Rafa is the girl who knows how to be a bartender, with energy and great service!

Undoubtedly, one of my most favorite and HIGHLY recommended places in Charleston. From security/bouncers, to bottle girls AND the bartenders (Brittney, Jaylen, Chris and Destiny-- you guys are seriously the best), the staff truly makes the experience. This club offers two floors AND an outdoor area. The vibe and decor is trendy and makes for incredible pictures. This place is great for bridal parties, large groups, small groups, I even go there by myself and the music is always fantastic, on both floors. If you have not been to Trio before, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU. Also check out the food truck on the back, you will not be disappointed.

5/5 stars simply isnt enough, Trio Charleston deserves 15/5 stars, if not more! This is without a doubt THE, BEST nightclub/venue Ive ever been to, in my entire life! The ambience simply can not be matched, they have the greatest staff all while playing the best tunes to get you moving and grooving, AND their bottle services are impeccable!!! Talk about feeling like a royalty!! Not only that, but they bring in the GREATEST artists to Charleston!! No other place in the area is doing anything remotely close as to how much they go above and beyond to make everyones experience one that you will never forget! This is definitely my go to/favorite place to be at in Charleston, literally my second home! An absolute must see and keep your eyes peeled for their upcoming shows! I promise this, you will NOT be disappointed at all!!

Club Trio opened up their first floor club space to us to host a Sunday brunch real estate event. It was perfect having the excitement of the space for our event. Looking forward to hosting more events there outside of their operating hours.

I visited Charleston SC in March to surprise my daughter for her birthday. We booked a private section in VIP with our host Britney. The service was excellent. Our bottle girls were so sweet and helpful. The prices for bottle service were very good. I’m from Florida and used to paying double or more for the same stuff.Upstairs in the EDM room it is a smaller venue so it does get pretty packed. Make sure you book a table section because then you have nothing to worry about.

Let me tell you, there is no where else in Charleston to HAVE A NIGHT! Thank you Trio for being the spot to celebrate a birthday like no other!

As a local downtown Charleston resident, this is my favorite night club to go to in Charleston. From the friendly staff, to the amazing production and equipment to booking the best and upcoming artists and music- this is the place to BE on a Friday or Saturday night. Since I’ve been going here regularly for over a year now, the owner, management, security and other team members have been nothing but friendly and kind to me, always checking in and making sure I’m comfortable and enjoying my night.

Loved it! I had a bachelorette party of 20 people and the service and atmosphere were amazing! 10/10!!! Highly recommend!

What a hidden gem! I went to TRIO last weekend and it’s a couple girlfriends and had such an amazing time. The drinks were well crafted, bartenders were super friendly and attentive.My group ended up getting a section downstairs before heading up to the special event happening on the second floor.The bottle girls were such dolls! So sweet and extremely hospitable. It was honestly an overall amazing service. We had a sign come out welcoming us to a new city, enjoyed shots and mixed drinks in the comfort of out own space.10/10 recommend coming here if your looking for the ultimate experience.

Went to Trio when visiting Charleston and am so happy I did! Rafa was one of the best bartenders i’ve had the pleasure to get to know and meet. The service she gave not only me but everyone around me was impeccable. Can’t go to trios without Rafa!!

Went out for a girls night and ended up having the best time at Trio! We went with the intention of having a few drinks and a good time but the atmosphere was too good. Rafa was an amazing bartender and we ended the night with shots and doubles of everything!!

Honestly I wish I could give this place a better review because i was having a great time until this individual made one of my friends feel uncomfortable and unsafe.PSA I later find out that this guy is an “employee” of this establishment.He approached one of my mutual friends by trying to grab her and when she pulled away he said and I quote “I’m kind of a big deal around here”Long story short I asked him to walk away on more than 3 different occasions and he proceeded to keep coming back. I walked him all the way down stairs to the front door and told him to stay away from my group the final time.He proceeded to bring the management to me and I explained the situation and we agreed to stay away from each other. He approached me one more time to shake my hand and apologize saying he didn’t have a problem and I explained neither did I as long as he stayed away from said friend.Fast forward to closing time the lights come on we proceed out the door and he is waiting for us outside where he proceeds to threaten and shout obscene remarks at me as I walk away.I manage security teams and bars in Chicago, this is not how employees “off the clock” should be acting towards paying customers visiting their place of business.

Trio has a beautiful lounge and counts with the option to go outside for the smokers but with a cozy place to chat with some delicious food options and a few games to get into with your friends!Upstairs just got some new upgrades with the lighting that makes the experience so much better, besides the sound system that will make you turn it up at anytime!With an awesome group of staff, Trio also provides you with one of the best services in Downtown! Rafaella was my bartender for a couple of nights upstairs. She was so charismatic! Always looking out to gives you a fast and efficient service with some great suggestions on drinks!!Overall, Trio has being the place I always choose to go on weekends for over a few months now and their lineup is insane! 🔥🤯#TakeMeToTrio♣️

We used this space as an event venue, outside of their usual business hours. The space was perfect, the staff was amazing, and everything was seamless. Highly recommend for seminars, private parties, meetings, etc.

It was out second time at TRIO and we had the best experience with Rafa. She is the sweetest girl ever. She introduced us the best shots of the house! I am not an alcohol person but the drinks she served us, omg I fell in love! She definitely deserves a place upstairs. ♥️♥️

Went to Trio last Friday night with some friends and had an absolute blast! The DJ and atmosphere was great, and the bottle service was very reasonable. If youre getting VIP bottle service, would highly recommend Krissa. Shes super friendly and fun, and her service was definitely worthy of the big tip we ended up giving.

Between the lasers, the djs and yes like others have mentioned below there is indeed a gorgeous female bouncer they have watching the crowd, I won’t go anywhere else haha!

Trio is by far the best club in Charleston! From the excellent customer service at the door from Britney and all of the security staff really, to the bottle girls and dj’s inside! Everyone is always super nice and helpful and the vibe is always on point!

Trio is unfortunately pretty much the only place in Charleston that consistently has high profile house DJs play a show. This would be great except the fact that every single show I’ve attended the artist didn’t start performing until 3-4 hours past the start of the show. I’ve gone to 4-5 shows in the past year there and this has been the case every time. The shows have all started at 9 pm and the artist has never come on before midnight, some not until 1am. And considering the club closes at 2am that means 3-4 hours of listening to local DJs and openers and then 1 hour, or maybe an hour and a half if lucky, of the artist you actually paid to come see. If I’m paying full price for tickets to a show for an artist that starts at 9pm, I don’t want to be waiting past 10:30 at the latest for them to start playing, and certainly not past midnight. Many of the people at these shows ending up leaving before they even saw the person they paid to see from exhaustion or impatience. None of the DJs I have seen seem very interested to be there either. It seems like Trio is probably paying a lower rate then what the artist would usually charge to have them play for an hour or so after midnight. And then posting the event start time at 9pm so they can get people in there buying overpriced drinks for the first 3 or so hours. And the tickets are around 50 dollars so you’d be paying the same price to see the DJ play a full set anywhere else. So Trio is paying less money to have artists play shorter sets and then making bank on ticket sales and drink sales. The artist isn’t happy, the fans aren’t happy, the only people who get more out of it is Trio.

This is definitely by far the best club downtown. The security is thorough before you enter which is definitely a plus for me when it comes to safety. The lights downstairs and upstairs are my favorite; best light show in town. They bring in great artists and the prices are always fair. The hostesses and the VIP service girls are super nice and got us seated and served in a timely manner. They also have a patio which is a big plus for my smokers out there. I had the best experience and I will for sure be coming back!

Got a table for my team here and had a very positive experience. Jalen took good care of us. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The space felt clean and safe. The DJ slapped. Would recommend.

I came to Trio as I was in Charleston for my bachelorette party. We walked in and I was mind blown. The club is so Sophisticated and classy looking. We were asked if we wanted a bottle of Champagne free of charge I’m assuming due to my getting married . We were sat in VIP and brought the bottle along with a whole little light show. It was the best experience. Everyone was so nice including the bouncers and all the girls that work there. We will definitely be visiting again and going to Trio !

Came to Charleston from out of town for a bachelorette weekend. We chose to spend our night at TRIO after doing our research and reading extensively through the reviews of clubs in Charleston. Overall TRIO seemed to have the best VIP/bachelorette packages available as well as two different styles of music to choose from since there were two floors of the club. Overall the music was good and the VIP area was perfect for a group of 13 woman. The bottle service was quick and the servers were all so nice. I would definitely recommend TRIO if you are looking to celebrate a night out. The ONLY downfall would be the lack of communication, its only through email and during hours that arent overly convenient. Besides that overall great experience!

I’ve been to Trio time and time again over the years, and it’s only gotten better with each experience. I’ve spent New Years Eve’s there with my best friends, as well as casual Saturday nights out, and both experiences are just as fun with exceptional service and amazing music. If you want to have a more casual, low key night, the downstairs lounge and live music is perfect. If you want to get the full DJ club and dancing experience, the full effect upstairs never disappoints. They even have an outdoor patio, which is great for a quieter vibe to catch up and grab a drink with friends. The staff and owner put their all into Trio, and you can most certainly tell in the ways it’s improved year over year. Would highly recommend without hesitation!

I was there on a bachelorette VIP party this past weekend - the music was amazing and the bachelorette party groups around us were awesome. While we had a fun night overall, we were pretty upset and disappointed with the disrespect, judgement, and attitude we received from the bottle services girls - we had a girl in our group who is currently 6 months pregnant. She was a trooper the entire trip, walking around Charleston, taking pictures, and helping to set up reservations everywhere. She is the one who set this entire thing up to make sure the bride had everything she wanted - when we got there, our main bottle service girl was told that our friend was pregnant and would need water pitchers as she would not be drinking (obviously) she did not make us aware that she could only fill the pitcher up once or the price of water bottles. When our friend needed another refill of water she said she could not refill it as it was a rule of the club and could only bring bottled water from that moment on. We were unaware of the price of this (and everything really, except for the minimum which differed from our email price to in-person price - the in person price was presented as $100 cheaper than what we were told via email). Throughout the evening this bottle service girl continuously gave our group and other groups around us, nasty looks. She refused to come over to us (even to the point that we had to ask another, very sweet shorter blonde bottle service girl to assist us). When we finally received our bill, we were blown away with the extra prices added onto it - we knew subbing out stuff would cost us (again weren’t sure exact prices because we were never told) but it was all the extra stuff (VIP tax, normal tax, non-cash tax) and the price of water was insane… especially when they were aware that our one friend was pregnant and could not drink anything except water due to sugar levels. (So be aware of that!) When we cashed out, we still had a lot of drinks left, so our group continued dancing and drinking for about 30 more minutes - we were given countless dirty looks from the bottle service girls to the point where we decided to take the bride elsewhere because we felt uncomfortable. It’s a shame that a great night was dimmed due to the attitude and facial expressions of bottle service girls, especially when we spent so much money. The entire evening the bottle services girls seemed annoyed and uninterested in making what should be an awesome night for a bachelorette party. Even in videos the smiles and uninterest is showing :( it honestly makes me so sad because this place offers a great package, music, and the chance to celebrate BRIDES….. but when it’s paired with extremely bad attitudes and judgement for entire bachelorette parties, I would never recommend another bachelorette party to come here.

Trio: This place is the best dance club and seems to be the only real dance club in Charleston. They allow vape inside which is a huge plus, but also have a patio if you want to smoke outside and still enjoy being there. There is a female bouncer there who I think is the most gorgeous but terrifying bouncer Ive ever seen. I swear we went back again just to get her to smile at us and break her RBF. Best experience ever at this club. We had a blast in every section of it. We are planning another trip to Charleston just to go here!

This is Charlestons premier nightclub? What a craphole. Ive been to more than few awesome nightclubs and this non-descript gray box hardly compares. Oh, but you do get TWO levels of gray box! I was suspicious when every other bar had a line out the door - except for Trio. Walked in, very bare bones, very sparse crowd, very uninviting overall. Went upstairs for the paid show and it was just thumping base, base, base. Hung around to have a drink and after about 10 minutes it still felt like the same music loop. Lighting sucked. Not very danceable and certainly not enjoyable. We left after 10 minutes. Lesson learned.Oh, and the paid show - those $25 tickets have an $8.50+ processing fee added on.

We had a great time at Trio! It was fun, bartenders were great, waitresses were really nice. I loved that it had an upscale look to it, we were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean!!!! YAY - they also seem to be bringing in some big names to Charleston and its nightlife. Saw some of the Southern Charm guys there...highly recommend - Thanks for bringing a great nightclub back to Charleston

This bar has sadly gone down hill. I have been here in previous months but this past week I have gone twice and both times have had a horrendous experience. The bouncers and bartenders were extremely rude and made some pretty inappropriate comments to myself and my friends (enough to make one of my friends cry being self conscious of her weight) while we were just simply waiting our turn. The DJs on both nights were definitely not the greatest. Seems they hired a intoxicated frat boy both times. The bar is not worth the trip away from the other good bars on King St. Would not recommend if you don’t want to be hit on or criticized as a women!

Trio is definitely one of my favorite places downtown. The fact that there are two different vibes all within one bar makes it more appealing to stay all night! We have had so many positive experiences with the staff there as well. Specifically, Mercury is always extremely kind, friendly, and helpful any time we’re there! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone coming to visit Charleston looking for fun nightlife!

I recently went to Trio to try one of the night clubs recommended to me in the area for my vacation I was more then excited of the fun and music I was treated to. The drinks were magnificent Claire, was my bartender and she always went above and beyond to satisfy every need of drink I had never have I had such great attention and service in night club by any bartender or night club compared to here. I will be more happily going about going back on my next visit and recommend it to anybody and everybody to go!

This place is AMAZING! Beyond exceptional service. The owner, Eric is truly superb! Treated us like family! The place has three different levels/areas, so something for everyone. It’s super NEAT! The ambiance in the back area is more laid back, then downstairs there’s always some great music and upstairs is if you’re ready to PARRRRTYY!!! Gotta check it out if you’re ever in Charleston!

Trio has been a fixture in the Charleston community since the 90s. Its great to see the improvements the new owner has made with he addition of the enhanced light show. With a big city feel, excellent service, Trio continues its reputation of the place to be on the weekends!! Lots of great memories !!

Ive been to Charleston a handful of times but Trio has my heart for the club industry! I enjoy the music and vibe it sets out! Definitely will be back! This is coming from someone that loves Las Vegas nightclubs. Grade-A experience, ambiance, and sound system — definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a fun night out in the city.

Love Trio! One of the first places I was told to visit when I first moved here and Ive been going back ever since. Bartenders are great to talk to and became good friends with some of them there. Anna is wonderful and always has a smile on her face! Highly recommend checking this place out.

I like to dance and Trio is my place of choice! The music is always happening without the slow drink songs most places have! There’s no lines for drinks yet everyone is drinking and dancing like one big party! It’s a blast! Best described as upbeat and energetic place to be!

My experience at Trio has always been positive! I loved seeing The Midnight city band there play live, as well as some festive Tito’s events I’ve attended there. Never a dull moment! And Tessa is as always my favorite face to see while there :), prompt and great service.

By far the best club in Charleston. They have amazing djs and also bring in huge names like Steve Aoki. I would recommend getting a table upstairs as thats the place they always have their feature dj for the night but the downstairs is also a blast. #takemetotrio is all i have to say! went for the first time last fall for my 23rd birthday and my friends and I had the times of our life. Bottle service was great, and the staff was even better. My friends and I were hammering green tea shots all night and ended the night with some nice Dom Perignon 2008 crystal champagne. 10/10 experience and I can’t wait to come back.

This is the best spot in town for live music and DJs! The owner brings in all the hottest DJs from around the globe which makes for a world class club experience upstairs. The lighting and sound system is top notch and will make you forget you’re in a small historic city in the south! And if that’s not your scene, you can hang out downstairs and watch a variety of live bands or get some fresh air out on the patio. Keys aren’t required to enter anymore, making it super inclusive so anyone can come enjoy the atmosphere!

Ive been coming here for some time, but it has really fallen off in recent months. The crowd has become aggressive--to the point where most female friends I have brought here feel uncomfortable and want to opt for another bar/club.I think it has potential, but there are so many more fun places in Charleston these days to explore, theres little reason to waste your time here.

Disappointed with the size of the venue and the cost to see a DJ change songs. Light show was describe as “the best” and we found it sub bar to other venues seen around the country. Not anything more than you back door bar in a city.

TRIO is one of my favorite places to go in Charleston on Friday and Saturday nights- sometimes even for Sunday Funday when there are events. They play great songs and club is popping at time. But some times, the DJ cuts a great song short which is quite annoying. Also, they dont accept song request even when you are VIP and booked the place for bachelorette party-only reason they dont get 5 stars

This place is a sad excuse for a nightclub.... I was told I got the upstairs VIP booth that could hold 25 people. We are lucky I only brought 12 people(Age 26-30) because that was too many. Then we were RIGHT next to the DJ booth, which is normally cool. However, Music was so loud it was unbearable to even be in there.Ive been to alot of VIP clubs before (Miami, LA, Vegas,NYC) and this was just not enjoyable.If you are looking for an actual nightclub, this is not it.The only good thing I can say about this place was the two waitresses were nice.

Decided to check this place out due to local recommendation. I was in town for my bachelorette and my friend brought a camera to put together a video of the trip. Our purses were small so she was carrying it in her hand. Security at the door told her she couldn’t bring a camera in (ok but odd, since everyone has a smart phone nowadays). She said ok, I’ll put it in a bag. She broke down the camera and we put pieces of it in our respective bags. One of my friends really had to use the bathroom so she asked if she could go in quick. Same security guard says sure, then not 5 seconds later went in after her and had kicked her out. He said “I told you you couldn’t bring a camera in so you try to sneak it in instead?” I told him we just broke the camera down and she had the biggest bag so that’s where we put it, she just had to use the bathroom. He goes “nice try,” was super rude about the whole ordeal. Place looked dead anyway on a Friday night and obviously we had to go elsewhere. 💁🏻‍♀️

Recently a friend and I had travel to Club Trio to have a good time in South Carolina. We were greeted and serviced by two male bartenders. Then I check my credit card statement the next day and see that they added on extra money to my card. THATS ILLEGAL AND THATS STEALING! If you decide to go to this club I would suggest bringing ONLY CASH money because these bartenders STEAL EXTRA TIP money on peoples credit cards without permission. Please check your credit card statements if you went to THIS CLUB in the last week or two of December 23th 2017.

Ive been coming here since January with my friends and everytime we have come we havent been disappointed except one rare time when a group of about 30 guys came which totally killed it for us. The bartenders are great and the music is phenomenal. The DJ doesnt play that wack house music or EDM music and plays actual trap, hip hop and even does throw back songs. He is by far the best DJ in town. I mean if you are into that stuff its on the first floor :) The crowd is also very nice especially the regulars who come. I myself have become a regular.For those of you thinking there is no key, there is a key and it very well does exist because I have one. There are times where they dont even check for keys so try your luck once in awhile instead of writing about not getting in the door.

This place used to be a decent dance club, until they began asking for a membership key. The music isnt that great to be such an exclusive place, but there are plenty of other bars downtown that have open doors with BETTER DJs.

I always enjoy my experience here. The downstairs bands are impressive and if friends and I want to go upstairs for more of a party scene the bottle service and Djs there are always on point.

We came here from out of town on 8/16/19. We were told by Trio staff that they played live music downstairs and EDM music upstairs. We were looking for a good EDM scene but they played R&B/rap upstairs. We were disappointed as this was the place we picked for the music scene

The doorman, who claimed to be a Soldier but didn’t have a clean shave, required us to lift up our shirts in order to enter the club. I asked for a pat-down instead, and he said I could leave. I have never been required to lift up my shirt for anyone in 18 years of nightlife. This club missed out on a lot of business from my group tonight - and we were all real military personnel.

From the minute we walked in the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They checked on us throughout the night to make sure we were taken care of. Very clean facility and great atmosphere with an upscale feel to it. The bathrooms were extremely clean as well!

Theyll ask if you have a membership key when you get to the door which is just a ruse that allows them to discriminate against anyone they want from going in. The membership keys dont even exist.Id recommend skipping this place—youll get more worth from your money by spending it at trendier spots like Stars, Republic, Prohibition, etc.

Went to trio, worst treatment of locals ever. They threatened to call the cops because we knew a coworker who asked us to come. They told us to enter through the back bar. Current manager (unknown to charleston) was threatening and high on drugs. I will never go back agian as a local who is treated well at all classy establishments. This place is trash.

They kicked me out of the club after paying for table, 600$ worth of alcohol. I’m from Maryland and they wouldn’t let me get my wallet. So if you want to go to a club where they leave a 22 year old girl on the street with nothing, go here. Honestly, I’ve never felt so scared in my entire life, thank you.
