We came after a day at the beach. Parking was a little confusing due to the restaurant next door with separate parking. You can pay to park behind the restaurant by the beach or park for free across the street. The place was busy, but we were seated quickly. Lots of eclectic decor. There was live music solo guitarist doing cover songs and was a nice touch. We ordered the alligator bites and we all liked them. Overall food was good. Our server could have checked on us more as it took a while to get our bill.
Oh its absolutely gorgeous out here right off the beach and the waitress was kind and attentive. But the Mahi Mahi fish and chips was obviously frozen and it was overcooked. The presentation was nice but the breading was overwhelming. Not my favorite meal and definitely too expensive for what was given. Disappointed because in todays time, spending ANY money on bad food really SUCKS. Do better Sandbar... Just because you know tourists will come here no matter what doesnt mean you do the bare minimum. You have a prime spot .. you should really be better than this.
Very cool vibe. Great live music, waitresses and waiters work really hard. It was warm inside, but hey… it’s August in Florida and you want that outdoor feel. One big issue: beer served in plastic cup. It gets warm immediately. Yeah, I know… I should drink faster. Fish tacos were good. Chips and salsa, not so good.
We had two fish tacos and they were just ok! The server somehow brought just one plate with three tacos, then apologized and brought one more. The seats in the booth were so old, we literally dropped halfway to the floor when we sat down. And the band was playing right next to us. Boy, we couldn’t even hear each other! That’s our experience but I heard people are pretty happy with this place.
A quick stop one evening here for dinner and drinks upon a recommendation from a hotel clerk. Was perfect! Just what we were looking for. A live band was playing- so since we were literally just meeting up with people for the first night we opted to sit out front. Our waitress was from Michigan and was the sweetest girl, her food recommendations were spot on and the drinks we flowing! Was a perfect beach stop along our travels.
Great beach sports bar. Food was great drinks cold and lots of choices. Got a burger fries and wings and it came out fast. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They also have live entertainment as well this night they had Short circuit band and they played 80s-90s hits and did a great job. Look for them in the coco beach area.
Outstanding! Came here at recommendation of a friend and he under sold it. The food was the best in Cocoa Beach. Tried the chips and salsa, guacamole. So so good. They used a cracked black pepper in it which is such a tremendous addition. Also had the fish tacos with and blackened shrimp tacos. OH GOD they were phenomenal! The fish was flaky, perfectly cooked. Shrimp were plump and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Would LOVE to come back and have a few drinks.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. I can only speak to the outdoor seating, but it was nice being able to sit and eat outside. I assume they were short staffed, the service was pretty slow. The 1/2 pound of shrimp was very tasty. The only complaint was that the shrimp were fully shelled so it was a lot of work to eat. My friend got a beef and fish taco. She normally doesnt love fish Tacos but she loved theirs! She liked it better than the beef taco! The burritos are enormous and tasty! They also have a challenge, if you can eat their 5lb burrito you can get your name on the wall. They have food for just about everyone here including vegetarian. They had a wide variety of tasty drinks, lots of tropical flavors. They also allow pets in their outdoor seating. We saw at least 3 dogs while we were there (all very well behaved :) Overall a good choice to eat here!
Was excited about this place based on reviews. 6 of us, ordered burgers and fish tacos. With a steak Nacho as an appetizer.Almost 30 minutes no food. Then our meals came with a message that our appetizer was forgotten.Food was average at best, but we were starving by the then.Disappointed
The overall experience was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. We went on a Tuesday night which is Taco Tuesday and it was packed. We waited a little for a spot for five of us. Food was okay to good. Our children really liked the pizza. It was too greasy for me. The chicken tenders were very large, which worked out good for a hungry child. Onion rings and mozzarella sticks were good. The Philly Cheese Steak was okay as well as the fish taco. My wife didnt like the alligator bites as they were too spicy. Shes had gator many times before, but didnt like it here.It was an easy walk to the beach while we waited a little for the crowd to die down. Music was not always kid friendly and be aware that depending on which way the wind was blowing and where you are sitting, you may get some smoke from the smokers at the bar outside.
We have always come here before and after a cruise to have the worlds best fish tacos. Today we brought some international friends with us after I raved about the place. Our server was fantastic and attentive. The monster tacos had two small fingers of fish and a mess of lettuce and tasteless shredded cheese. The plate looked a mess, no finesse. Im so embarrassed to have wasted my friends time and money on such cold, low quality food today. The wings were cold cold. We waited 30 mins for the food which is odd for this restaurant and our waitress said the wings can slow things down to make them fresh. I spoke to the manager and he gave us 20 percent off which covered our tip. We usually leave there looking for a house in Cocoa Beach so we can eat there everyday. I hope this was an isolated event. Go Sandbar!!!! Keep our dreams alive!!
1st time visiting and wont be the last. How can you not want to go to a place like this where it has great food, televisions all over and live entertainment. Literally steps away from the beach! The people, the atmosphere are amazing! Seconds, and I do I mean seconds away from the beach. This is going to be your new hotspot once you get down there to see it. By the way... whatever you do, you have to get an Airbnb close by, because you dont want to miss going to this place. This is a Jimmy Buffett and the Beach Boys type of vibe all wrapped up in one package. Enjoy...I know I did 👍🏻🙂
Its right on the beach. The service was decent but a little slow. Werent that busy and still took a while to get food to us. Flavor was lacking. Tasted like they didnt really even season the chicken. Margaritas were tasty but a little weak. Spot is good if youre looking to eat somewhere close without going too far.
Went for lunch and menu looked good as they did feature tacos. If you seeking shelter from the heat this is not the place to go as it is a open more like a covered patio restaurant with fans. They do help it does make it loud. Based on the location I would say perfect if you at the beach and want some food. Gabrielle did a great job and did provide a recommendation of tacos and I tried the shrimp, fish grilled and the carne Asada with a side of chips. I wish the salsa was was a pico de gallo instead of a cook salsa. Tacos were good not great but good. I personally feel way too much sour cream and cheese overpowered the star….the taco filling. Others in my party had the coconut shrimp, they were really good. The burrito with ground beef, was told that it had way too much sour cream and fillers, said the meat had a weird seasoning. We also ordered a burger, the fries are seasoned with old bay. The first order came out cold, and Gabrielle took care of it right away. The other dish we ordered was a chicken Caesar wrap, that was good overall for a beachfront type of joint not bad, just not great. I will add that there’s plenty of funny signs to read while you’re waiting for your food and big screen TVs to watch. if you decide to drive here, please note you must pay for parking. they have a parking lot across the street but it says for VIP members only.
We have been coming to Cocoa Beach and staying near Sandbar and this year we finally made it over there for dinner after reading all the reviews! First, we had an incredible waiter who was unbelievably attentive, funny, and helpful. The food was delicious (got two different types of fish tacos and a shrimp taco based on the waiter’s recommendations) and they were A+++! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Seriously, go!
The food is excellent, it has a good location and music. The bad thing is the attention, they dont serve quickly and there is no one to receive the customers. Another negative thing is the restrooms, always there are very dirty, the utensils rusty. It is a good restaurant, but it falls a lot with the bathrooms and the service.
Food terrible. Fish sandwich dry, chicken philly very little inside. Hamburger cold over done. Very hot inside. Beach people eating there. Had very few low tables. Parking across the street had to pay. Has local will not go back.
Awesome local place for cold drinks and good food. The Baja fish tacos were off the hook delicious (pun intended!) and the Carne Asada tacos were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient even though the place was packed. Bravo! Good job everyone. Looks like they have specials every day. The restaurant sits on the edge of the beach not on the beach. Plan to go for a walk on the beach before or after the Sandbar. Its a beautiful location. They have a great selection of local craft beers and some pretty cool mixed drinks. This is Hurricane country if you are into them, I did not have one but my friends really like them. Cant wait to go back and shoot some video!!
The Fish Tacos are the best!!! I always get mine fried with the white sauce. I have never had them anyplace else that came out anywhere near as good as the Sandbars!! I will go back as often as I can. Also the restaurant is right at the beach with live music. Just an old style bar and grill with good food, atmosphere, and drinks.
Food was not great. Chicken dry and overcooked. Fries were cold. Philly not much meat but lots of veggies at least. The blacken fish taco was good. Service was fair but felt like you were a bother if you wanted anything especially refills. Rice was dry and very hard. Overall a “not great” experience!!!! The girl at the bar was nice So maybe a place for drinks. Do not recommend!!!
My husbands burger was sent back 2x because it was supposed to be medium rare. Both times it was well done to hockey puck. No manager came to apologize and we were charged full price.Another member of our party asked for a cracker or something because his blood sugar was very low.The gal serving us brought him 2 small apple juice. He only drank one. We were charged for both. The server was very good. The manager must not be too good.
Food took a very long time. Nachos were cold and chips were mostly soaking wet. Would not visit again.*Editing after the owners response*Reducing from 2 to 1 star. Your apology was insincere and condescending. You were very busy and we are understanding of those situations as well as understaffing issues many businesses face. We had nowhere to be and, much like your food, we were in no hurry. I do not know why you assumed we were in a rush.No one ever communicated that the kitchen was slow or that any miscommunication had occurred. Our nachos only arrived after we did speak up and said we did not want a second drink until food arrived. Only then did the cold nachos appear almost instantly. They were soaked in bean juice and had obviously been sitting ready for a long time. Our ice cream was soup and likely also sat in the kitchen for a long time. The cheesecake was phenomenal and we loved it!You wish I had brought it up to a manager? Had my server asked me even once how our food or experience was we would have been open and honest. Your employees could see the state our food was in and chose to serve us it anyway. Thats on you, not me.Shame on you. I will definitely not be giving your business a second chance.
Great atmosphere and location. We sat outside since the music inside was a bit loud for the family at dinner time. Our server was fantastic. The food was typical bar food.
🏖️ HANDS DOWN 🙌 the best of BOTH WORLDS 🌍 It’s on the 🏝️ Has AMAZING 👙 SERVERS & Bartenders, Food 🍱 is INCREDIBLE, prices are very reasonable. Live entertainment is often, family friendly during the day/afternoon and early evening. I’ve been there dozens of times in the last couple months and it’s legit. You can sit outside or inside and there’s a MASSIVE TIKI HUT 🛖 on the front side of the restaurant. Backside is literally in the parking lot of the beach. Haylee is the best bartender on this side of the coast, besides Yo, she’s the OG. You can sit and chat with everyone from a ROCKET 🚀 SCIENTIST to the BEACH BUM 🏝️ who’s homeless and everything in between, and that’s not a joke. The funny thing is, you can’t tell who’s a genius and who’s a janitor. We’re all treated like family, even if you’re a RECOVERING 🏦 BANKER like me.
This is the absolute worst place our family has ever ate. Waited over a hour for our food. Server never acknowledged our table after bringing the drinks and taking our order. A hour later she made a appearance and said I dont know when your food will be out and walked off. Meanwhile a party of 5 and all drinks has been empty over 45 mins. Someone from management came over and said our food order was placed 32 minutes ago, which in fact was not accurate. No one at our table would be upset over a 30 min wait time. I guess she didnt place the order until 30 mins after she took it. When the food did come, 2 kids meals wasnt editable, a chicken tender dinner was so burnt and hard none of it was ate but a few frys and 2 paradise burger meals was so dry we couldnt even eat a quarter of it. We finally fount another waiter that brought us drinks and our ticket. At that time the waiter made a appearance and said sorry i had a big table. Absolutely unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Awesome live music and food. Also the best location Cocoa Beach! Where else can you be so close to the beautiful beach that is cocoa and have great drinks, food and live music. The parking situation is a little confusing. The parking lot is across the street of the sandbar. You have to pay for parking before leaving your car but there is a sign that says they will validate it....but how if Ive already paid?
I am from California and went down to visit Florida. Was looking for a place with affordable drinks and food. This place was delicious 😋 😍 I would recommend it to anyone who wants delicious wings and fish tacos 🌮 😋 😜. I got buzz off of 2 mix drinks called Hurricane #5 it was delicious not too sweet and strong. Too top it off they have live music 🎶 band playing great music. 👍
We came in late on a Sunday night so our experience may not be representative of the food during the day. Chips and salsa were not good. Chips were stale and the salsa tasted like great value. The beef soft tacos were good and came with loads of meat. The Baja fish and chips had a lot of flavor potential, but had very obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. The fish was chewy, not crispy.
Came here on vacation and the place is so cute! Has such a beach vibe. I loved it. My server was Sydnie and she was so sweet, she really did a great job!
I never give 5 stars but this place deserves it. You might think it looks terrible but it is the exact opposite. The food is very good. The service is very good. The atmosphere is amazing. If I ever travel back to Cocoa beach this will be my first stop. I highly recommend this place.
This place was a lot of fun. Id describe the atmosphere as surf-style, energetic and colorful. Stopped in for dinner and drinks with some friends after a day at the beach. Service was fast and friendly. Food was pretty good, our group enjoyed the shrimp tacos and beer specials (although the beer was a bit warm).
Friendly staff. Decent food. The fish tacos are outstanding. The conch fritters are good. This last time I had the fish burrito with blackened fish. I mean, whoever heard of a fish burrito? So i had to try it. It was tasty, but not enough fish for the size of the burrito. My wife had the Caesar salad, which was a disappointment. Romaine lettuce with parmesan shaken from the can. She also got a side of fries. They were crinkle cut and crispy. You dont normally see crispy crinkle cut fries. They were good.I love the atmosphere. Feels like youre right on the beach even though youre basically on a parking lot that is on the beach. Kind of divey. Kind of tacky in that way Hooters tries to be. Decent live music, though it can be loud if you are up by the band. Back when I was drinking way too much, the hurricanes there were a go to.
This is an extremely difficult review, because I come here and its not bad IF you fit in. There is no single standard across a multiplicity of socio-political groups. Its a locals dive that tolerates tourists without much drama. But they make it known that locals are more important. SEE PICTURES.Its hot, its rough-hewn. The servers have a sense of entitlement you find at dives and European bars. They have to wear tight pants which would be shocking to most people from cities. Think Hooters. Exploitative, but probably self reinforcing. Theyre rude unless youre in the club or they are also well sauced. Its loud. The 32 televisions show nothing interesting. The GOOD. The food is disgusting by culinary standards but really very pleasurable by nasty hut by the beach standards. Great drinks. Strong. Great crunches on breading. Food to late. Now why should this be two reviews? Because the population is two types of people. The groveling unwashed who yell at televisions with football, and people from other places that would feel completely unwelcome and nervous. GOOD LUCK!
The food was OK. It took us a long while before we were on our servers radar. Once he was there everything moved pretty smoothly. It was a Friday afternoon going into dusk. Very loud without live music. We actually did enjoy the musician. He was real good and right on the money for cover songs. Problem is that it was just that much louder. Sandbar comes accross as being a lets chill kind of place. But it didnt go there. If you dont see people smiling at a beach bar with tiki drinks, you are doing something wrong. Its like it cant decide to be a beach spot or a night club. Food was decent enough but you shouldnt be expecting much for a open door watering hole. It definitely has the tourist trap vibe. I am willing to try it again on a mid week time. I feel like I may have caught them in a unforseen rush. I think they could use some more fans in there to blow air. The ac was on but the place was wide open so I dont know why that is happening. Everyone can take a lot of heat if the wind is blowing.
Absolutely phenomenal food and service. The burger was cooked perfectly and delivered hot. Our waitress Leila was beyond awesome. She kept the drinks full, super friendly, and knows her stuff. If you ever go to Cocoa Beach, The Sandbar is definitely a go-to place to eat. 1 minute walk from the beach, outdoor seating available, and they have a bar. Def in my top 5 restaurants.
Took the whole family there a couple of nights while on vacation. Was very busy with a lot of people, but that didnt keep us from getting great service along with awesome food. The 1st night we each ordered our own entrees, everything was very tasty.Went back a couple of nights later and ordered pizza, again enjoyed a really good meal. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is great, looking forward to going back on our next vacation.
We went in for dinner on a Tuesday night. Heather and Savannah treated us very nicely from behind the bar. We ordered gator tail, onion rings, and nachos which all were delivered quickly from the kitchen and tasted great. The music was excellent as well.
Simply a perfect beach taco place. Funky. Love bands. Awesome food. Awesome staff. Its a 100% mandatory go-to every visit
I did not eat here, I only had a couple of drinks waiting to watch a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. It is very close to the beach and if youre into watching rocket launches its a good location. The picture of the cup says Fish Camp Grill because the SandBar Sports Grill shares the same building and I believe it is the same business
Taco Tuesday 🌮 definitely worth the trip. Order the Baja and blackened fish or shrimp! So dang good :) Our server, Minell (I hope I spelled that right), was a sweetheart and attentive to our table. She suggested to also order the nachos to go with our tacos. Oh so good.Every day has a theme. This is a restaurant/bar atmosphere.
Such a fun spot in Cocoa Beach. We stopped by for dinner around 9:30 on a Friday and there was live music inside. We ate outside and there were other families dining outside as well. The service was quick, drinks were great, and food was delicious. We’ve eaten here twice and it’s been consistent both times. The murals outside are pretty cool too!
Excellent place to come in and chill from directly off the beach and surf. Great food, personally recommend their Churrasco and Gator bites. Their hurricanes are great get the one with coconut rum and be ready to hand the keys to a DD LOL.
Best fish tacos and Carne Asada tacos EVER. I cant wait to go back next trip, it will be our first stop. I also loved the Mermaid Water cocktail. This place is loud and crazy, with live music. So much fun if you like to people watch. Drinks are strong, service was great considering how busy they were. I would take our kids for lunch or an early dinner, but evening is best for an adult night out.
We stumbled on this place and found delicious food, great service, a laid-back atmosphere, and live music. The shrimp tacos were amazing!
Went there tonight for a quick bite and a drink. Ended up having a proper meal and a few drinks and a cocktail.Amazing service, great atmosphere and the food was to die for. We had gator tails to start with, followed by a selection of tacos and a blackened fish burrito. Oh-my-days!!! How yum that all was. We washed it down with a couple of pints of Blue Moon each, before deciding on a sundae and a cocktail each.Throw in the most lovely waitress you could ever wish to meet, a really banging atmosphere with some live music and you’ve got the perfect place to eat and enjoy some down time!Well done guys. You really know how to cook good food and have a good time to boot!
Service was pretty good, and the flavor and cook of the foods was good, but the food was not hot. Rice was dried out and black beans were bland.Fish tacos were very tasty, but again, the meat was not hot.
Ordered Hang 10 Pizza with our selected toppings. Under deluxe pizza toppings, the menu said ground beef as one of the toppings... found out when eating it that it was actually taco seasoned ground beef. Taken by surprise because we didnt order the Taco Pizza. No one ask how our food was and when we told our waitress and she dismissed us telling us they cook the taco beef in the morning and put on the pizza (like I would know that). Never said sorry about that and said she wouldnt know because she doesnt eat beef - and then walked off. Very disappointing!!!!
Great beach bar, strong drinks and great food. This is a typical surfbar with live music, and open to the beautiful weather, no ac but has fans and a nice breeze. Parking after 5 you dont need to pay.
We loved our first trip to the Sandbar. The place was packed, but the service was some of the best and most attentive we’ve had Beachside. Our tacos came out quickly and were delicious (blackened fish, shrimp and carne asada). I had a “Cat 5 Hurricane” - packed an awesome punch - not for lightweights. With the band playing, it was a little noisy, but that’s the vibe. We’ll be back.
Food was okay. Very crowded, which was probably due to spring break. Unique place. Very loud and beachy. If you like that great. If you dont, well this might not be the place for you. Glad we went and checked it out.
Been here before and has been good. This time around... Service sucked ...seat yourself....ok no problem.....but after that wait staff was non existent, they were there. None smiled, or said anything to us.Got up and sat at the bar..... bartender was more than happy to help.
Great place to have a drink. Love the beach atmosphere, they have live music often and the services excellent. If youre going just for the food, Id recommend finding another option. The foods just okay at best. (Had a mahi sandwich that was super thin and overcooked/ dry)
We went for dinner on a trivia night. Intriguing and interesting place in a parking lot, but the food was ok at best, and the waitress could have used some assistance. Not sure Id go back but its checked off my list!
Great fish tacos. Service was very slow and music was very loud. Didnt go in the bar portion except to visit the bathroom. If you have families, stay out on the patio. The bar isnt family friendly
Great food and great location. We parked in the lot across from the restaurant and were able to walk to the beach after lunch. Its a great spot to take a break and grab a drink. Food was not inexpensive but it was very good. They were accommodating for kids and had a good variety of kids meals. Drinks were cold and well portioned for the price, we made several trips back. We will definitely be back on our next beach visit.
They tout their fish tacos and they were the worst fish tacos Ive ever had. We sent it back because we didnt think there was fish in the tacos and they brought it back saying there was. After searching through the lettuce we found a piece if fish that was at most 2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. $6.50 a taco! What a rip off!
We waited over an hour and half for food . Which was a kids burger , French fries ( we never got ) kids Mac and cheese from a box which was cold ! Mozzarella sticks ( we never got ) two slices of pizza cold !! Then to be told we lost your ticket order!!! Oh we will give you the VIP discount of $5.80 . This was towards our drinks !!! Other tables around us got their food . We told our waitress many times were was our food ! She tells us it’s the next order out …… yea nope !!! They should have discounted half , a child at 8pm has not gotten their food !!! Come on you can do better !!! We are not tourist we live here !! Very very disappointed in how they handled this . A child’s burger and fries !!! Wow that’s ridiculous!!!
Ive been coming here for years. Theres always a good fun crowd. The food is pretty good. The bar is fun to sit at. Lots to look at in the room. Its right across the dune to the beach but cant see it from the restaurant. Paid parking in the back of the building and they write tickets sometimes. Theres parking out front.Theres always an ocean breeze blowing through. Its all open air. So bring a jacket if its chilly. Youll appreciate you did lolAwesome place always! Ill be back!
We visited a couple days before Nicole hit Florida. First off the atmosphere and beachy tiki theme is great for beach vibes. The drinks were good and the service also commendable. We just did not find the food that great. The peel and eat shrimp were not easy to peel at all and were tough, the baha fish and chips were dry and nothing to write home about with flavor. The one thing that was great were the conch fritters with taste, texture and dipping sauce. I had heard and read so much about this place, and may go back for drinks and try some other food items, just not the ones I had.
We have been coming to Sandbar for probably 10 years, it’s great every time. Drinks & food come out at a decent rate even when they are incredibly busy. Our server, Brittany, has given us the BEST service I’ve ever had in all these years. It’s playoff games & she’s been doing amazing. Will always recommend this place to newbies & travelers alike.
The atmosphere would be nice if it wasn’t so loud. Can’t even hear the person next to you speaking. Whenever I suggest this place to my friends, they decline because it’s just too loud! My friends and I end up elsewhere like The Tiny Turtle just up the street which has amazing mahi-mahi as well with a beautiful atmosphere especially on the back porch Tiki hut with a huge under sea mural. No pictures to post because we wanted to get out of there. I hear middle of the day is better but don’t go at night if you want to talk to each other.
Horrible experience tonight. Waited an hour for half our order and was told that our ticket was lost and the rest of our food was coming. We waited another 15 minutes and still no food. I Asked for a manager. Manager showed up 10 minutes later and had no excuse and still no food. So after an hour and a half since our order I said I give up just let me pay for what we got. Management gave me a check with no discount! I would absolutely avoid sandbar for food. Very disappointed ☹️
Drinks were really good, the place was PACKED! waitress deserved 5 stars for serving the entire outdoor area and making sure everyone was getting what they needed.Im sure this is a 5 star experience most of the time, but the food seemed a bit rushed because Im sure the kitchen was slammed. Overall a good but not great experience. Id be willing to come back again on a less busy night.
I wish I could bring my dogs inside. And I wish they were a little bit better about how they see people people jump in front of me and are rude sometimes. Otherwise I love this place and I would definitely recommend eating here. Cool place to chill
Fun times and solid chicks. Humor is great. Besides who I think the owners are, they walk around looking at new faces like terd lmao. Noticed from the fishing pics on the wall so I assume. Never know when a commercial fisherman is walk down during white trash day lol.
Wonderful experience, excellent service, the food was not bad. The only thing was that it was so cold inside that our teeth were chattering the whole evening.
The 3 of us drove to Cocoa Beach to take our son visiting from Spring TX, to lunch. We walk right in and sat down. The table was ditty with glasses. I cleaned it up and waited for someone to wait on us. She got our orders and she was off. TlMy son got breadbowl seafood stew, he like it a lot.We waited more than 30 mins for food but it was worth it. I just got a casadilla and it was grilled, wonderful. Drew got the chicken parm sandwich with fries and my husband got the blacken fish and he said it was the best, worth the drive from St. Cloud. Our waitress was so busy with 10 tables but we managed to get her for the bill. My husband said his fish dinner was the most expensive of the bill. I would not come here if you dont have time to waste waiting for your food, but if you do. The food is worth it.
I ate a mahi mahi fish with rice and beens , it’s was very delicious, but I got charge for the parking twice, maybe because I gave the tip straight to the waitress instead of putting in it the ticket. She was very nice person.
Always great food! You have to pay to park. Bring your parking receipt and they will take that of the bill.
Always busy and a great atmosphere. Taco Tuesday is a big hit. Note they just raised their prices, but still a great deal.
I first came here in 2012 and have had an amazing experience every single time since. First of all you simply cannot come and enjoy Cocoa Beach without stopping by to try one of their hurricanes. Food is excellent and the gator tail and fish tacos should be the first things to try. Various specials and entertainment every night makes for a fun and festive environment. A must try establishment in Cocoa Beach.
Great place with a nice local vibe, nice people and great food. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were delicious and they dont skimp on the fish. The service was quick considering and attentive given how busy it was at the time. The meals are reasonably price considering the portions and qualifying food and service. I definitely be back.
The service was deplorable, seat and yourself, or actually fight for a table, wait and pounce. Multiple tables, including us had waited an hour and a half and found out our orders were 25 minutes out from being cooked. The server neglected to put the orders in right away. She did not check on us and had to be flagged down.
Second year in a row my family has eaten here, we had a great server and amazing food!
Dude, great atmosphere! The hurricanes were delicious! Highly recommend the alligator and fries!
Food and drinks were excellent. Heather and Savannah were an experience to say the least. They definitely provided great entertainment though
Service was extremely slow. Food order wasnt correct, quickly fixed, but still wasnt that good.
Was looking for somewhere in the area where my wife and I could enjoy a beachy, pre cruise, Jimmy Buffett sort of place AND somewhere that our kids would eat: The Sandbar fit the bill perfectly. Awesome menu with a variety of creative and delicious food for grown-ups and (picky) little ones alike. Its a festive Key West sort of atmosphere (can be a bit noisy, so not that baby friendly), food was great, theres nice outdoor seating at the back and its a very short walk to the beach for a stroll along the ocean. Highly recommended.
If your hungry, dont go there ...was told after I ordered drinks and food that it was possible one hour for our food 🤬...shouldve been told right then and there its possible one hour 🤔 so a sign or no sign pls have ur server tell ur clients while they order drinks and food of a possible hour delay🙄
Love this place but the food and service seems to have slipped a bit. Fish not as fresh, service not as quick and unfortunately a few times we have sat there for a really long time and just wondered if we had been forgotten.
The entrance definitely draws you in. As soon as you see it youll be intrigued to check it out. Very glad we did. First glance at the menu my partner and I wanted to try so many things. Then something stood out. This place has a hall of fame type Facebook page for winners of their 5lb. Burrito challenge. If they can complete it all on their own. So we decided to get this item just to see how big this burrito really was. It was delicious but of course since we shared it we unfortunately did not get put on the wall.Food was delicious cant wait to try different entrées next time we visit. They also tend to have great drink specials, right next to the beach which is a huge plus, and the service and atmosphere was top notch!Highly recommend!!!
Visiting and will definitely visit again before we flight out. A family friendly sports bar. We went on karaoke night and it was friendly staff, patrons and a great experience! Just off the ocean breeze, with pizza, wings, smoked fish dip, never skimped drinks and I highly recommend!! Parking is easy, plenty of seating and prices are very reasonable.
Fun place. Live music. The food was okay, but it took over an hour to bring out our food.
We spent the week down there buying a house and playing on the beach. Upon referral we entered an insanely busy, clustered restaurant. We began to wonder how it functioned. Speechless our waitress knew we had seated ourselves amongst the ruckus and promptly got our order in. Within a very reasonable amount of time the mammoth sized and very appetizing meals arrived! The whole thing was incredible given the crowd size, the value was 10/10. Will eat here again soon!
The food is amazing like absolutely amazing but we got our food an hour and a half after we got there I would definitely recommend it if you have a lot of time
Reggae on the beach was fiya last night. Its so worth the drive twice a month for these bands. My server was very nice & on point and the food was tasty. They have a crab special on Fridays. Met a couple of ppl that we meet last month and dance to upbeat Caribbean music. I originally met this band at Bob Marley restaurant before covid, we moved to Broward last year and happy this location is their second home and plays there twice a month. They wouldve had 5✨but someone that works for them that was off the clock behavior was unacceptable
Stopped in for cocktails on Easter as we had our cousins walk the beach and bar hop day. Great cocktails... awesome day.
I was there before...food is good and the staff is friendly some hours are more crowded so food it could take a little longer but it worth the wait .have to pay parking but they will deduct the parking on the paycheck . some days they have live music that could be a little loud so if you want a little quieter you can eat outside.
Nichole was AMAZING!! Drinks were at our table fast! The atmosphere is super fun and chill! Food to die for!
I don’t even want to put a 1 star but I can’t put no stars or I can’t post-The food was horrible!!! Not just one thing out of everything we ordered but every meal ordered was awful. The server was amazing!!!
Best shrimp tacos ever!!! Loved the hurricane drinks by the category. They were great! This place rocks.
Would not recommend..their version of grilled mahi-mahi looks and tastes horrible... waitress agreed it was overcooked but did nothing to send it back to the kitchen...if you order any drinks they are warm within 2 minutes..🤢🤮
Friendly environment. Our drinks were a1. Loved the vibe there. Miss it already!
We used to come here a few times a week but the food and service has really gone downhill. Every time I order a fish taco it’s always cold. Tonight we called in advance and was told it wasn’t busy, we show up and waited 15 mins for a server at one table outside and then after no one came over we went inside for 5 more minutes still no server guess y’all were too busy for us so we left. Our regular server made eye contact with us a few times but never came over. Sucks to be treated this way.
I ordered a margarita couldn’t taste any alcohol by the bottom of straw, bottom of drink, so I asked the girl making my drink did she give me a virgin drink and she stated what she put in and walked away, then complained to the other girl: very professional. so a little while later I ordered another thought I’d give it another try, and first straw sip I could tell she added what made it a margarita. This my First time visiting, went to hear the band, I wonder do they do that so u order another.
The service, the food, everything id good here. But especially Q is amazing. There was a woman who showed up a little…of
Tiffani Decker was my server and she is incredible so polite and very thorough about the quality of the food !!! Was delicious definitely will be going back
Artistry has been performed on the mahi mahi ruben. I am a corned beef purist but a must get and try! Really great breeze always there on the patio also.
The Sandbar Sports Grill is a local favorite hangout to eat, drink, and be merry!Have fun by the beach ⛱️ 😎.I highly recommend this place when you want to chill at the beach.🤗😊👍😎⛱️
Very good food, prepared well and presented well. Service was what you would expect from a noontime bar FULL of hungry people and loud drinking bar patrons. If you are looking for atmosphere, you are looking in the wrong place. It is the typical seaside bar/restaurant/dive atmosphere you will find everywhere, traffic signs, bawdy posters, graffiti, license plates, crooked tables that teeter, plastic chairs and sticky menus. Front patio is pet friendly, but I did not bring my dog.
Sandbar caters to a wide demographic, and they have a fun variety menu of foods and cocktails. Great live music, and what was easily the best burrito I ever had!
Amazing food. Great staff and the owners took the time to come to our table and talk to us. Best local spot I visited in my 4 days in FL. If you are in the Coco Beach area you must go there. The monster fish platter will knock you off your feet. Thank you for the great drinks and even more amazing food
