I have been to Lucindas a few times for facials and waxing. Cecilia is always a wonderful technician! The rooms and building always exceed cleanliness which is an issue I’ve encountered at some waxing salons. Would suggest for anybody searching for spa services!
1st time customer. My coworkers and I received a giftcard for services with a pamphlet. I booked an appointment for a full foil and haircut. My estimate did not match the amount on my pamphlet. When I asked why there was such a difference I was told that they changed their prices and to look on the website. I asked when they changed their prices and the receptionist said March. I had informed her that this giftcard was purchased in the end of April and this old pricing was still being given to customers. She responded rudely with We cant just print a new pamphlet everytime we change pricesThis is a paper pamphlet, it absolutely should be reprinted with correct information. What new customer is going to double check online that the pricing they just received is accurate? I asked for a service to be removed to get closer to what I expected to pay and was talked down to in front of the whole waiting room. This is the face of your company, better care should be taken with new customers so they become repeat customers.I cant in good faith encourage anyone to go here after being treated like this on my first encounter.
Appointments made on Monday for a Thursday Appt! Got a confirmation text at 8 am the morning of; to which I responded YGot a call at 10 am canceling my appointment as the tech called in sick! Could not accommodate me at any time or day the rest of this week! They managed to rebook another client who has a 3 pm appointment but my 12 pm appointment was cancelled! No accommodation whatsoever, just an Im sorry! Just remember, that if you chose to book an appointment and yourhave limited free time, dont count on Lucindas! They irresponsibility cancel appointments within 2 hours of their commitment!! Horrible customer accommodation!The response I received was a day late and a dollar short! I was told there were absolutely NO AVAILABLE appointments the rest of the week! Secondly, if a therapist has a schedule for noon, there should be a requirement that such calls are made by a certain time in the morning and not 2 hours before a client is scheduled! Again, a person who had a later appointment was conveniently rescheduled for 3 pm and I was told none available for me! TRUE, we all can get Ill, but your policy regarding cancellations should be the same as a person who cancels within 24 hours! A fee is charged to the client, why not a credit to the client who was cancelled just 2 hours before? No thank you for opening a space for me as Ive booked an appointment with a more reliable competitor and youve now lost this customer and any other who feels that aforementioned is inexcusable!! I own a service based business and my policies for employees are way more responsible! Maybe youll need to re-examine yours!😏

Michael is amazing. I’ve been going to him for almost 2 months, now. He has been so helpful with my back and hip pain. He knows exactly what I need and is able to explain everything in a way I can understand. All of the receptionists are friendly and help with scheduling and information. I would absolutely recommend this place. Michael specifically. If you’re looking for a good deep tissue massage for a reasonable price, this is the place to go!
I got a mother-to-be massage and a pedicure and it was so relaxing. Everyone was so kind and now all my knots have been worked out. I’ll definitely be coming back!
This was not a great experience for my mother or I. No offerings of water or a drink or snack of any kind while we were there for 5 hours for our half-day. It was also a bit more pricier than the website claimed. To top it off, just noticed that my toe nail polish doesn’t even match, after she said it would. The facial was 100% the best part of the day.

SO disappointed. Booked manicures with my daughter as a special birthday treat and we were really looking forward to some pampering. Morning of the appointment we received a confirmation, then about an hour later I got a call that both nail techs called out due to weather. (That is totally understandable, just disappointing after already receiving confirmation.) The message asked me to call back to reschedule. And thats when I spoke to Vicky. I explained the situation and was greeted with Yeah? And?I said the message said to call back to reschedule.So?I asked if there was availability Wednesday, as that is my daughters birthday.Nope.I asked if there was any availability this weekend. After a heavy sigh, Vicky said I guess if you could get here right at nine on Saturday we could quickly do one after the other?I reiterated that this was a special treat for her birthday and the point was being together and relaxing.Yeah, well...No apology, no other suggestions of availability, a terrible attitude, making me feel like I was wasting her precious time; I assure we will NOT be rescheduling with Lucindas. I dont need to pay money to be made to feel like a burden.

Lucindas’s Day Spa and Hair Studio has always been a great spa with excellent service. Under new ownership, Lucinda’s is really flourishing!Today I had a very indulgent Vitamin C facial featuring Yon Ka products. The facial lasted 1.5 hours and included massages to not only my face but shoulders, hands and feet. Heated towels, fine mist, excellent products…totally luxury! I will definitely be back for another!!Marissa is very knowledgeable and has immersed herself in this business. She researches all her products in great detail and I always enjoy our discussions. I have been a regular at Lucindas’s for 12 years and continue to appreciate the new and diverse services they offer.
My wife and daughter have been here several times and weve never had a complaint..but most recently my 15 year old daughter went on sunday November 19 and was over charged buy 41 dollars When I called and tried speaking with the manager. There was nothing excuses Its sad that they would take advantage of a 15 year old girl

I have always enjoyed this place, its my go-to for facials and nails. I recently went in to try their new Hair Studio, and I am IN LOVE! The space is open and airy, sun filled and pristine. Chandeliers add elegance and there are only three stations which made me feel very safe. The staff goes above and beyond to create a safe atmosphere. Also, my hair has never looked better! I got a highlight with Gina and a haircut with Pam. Both FABULOUS ladies! Ill be back for sure.
I had a very pleasant and relaxing time at Lucindas. It was my first time getting a facial and my esthetician was very attentive to my wants and needs and made me feel so comfortable. Its a very clean and professional spa. I will be returning!
We visited Lucindas Day Spa a few weeks back and had a great pedicure! The atmosphere was relaxing and the technician we had was very professional and skilled. I was so glad to see that my polish lasted for over a week and wasnt glopped on super thick. Ive been to other American-style nail salons, mostly in the Portland area, and found the girls to be either not be trained well or rushing along your service. This was very enjoyable AND relaxing- We will definitely be coming back!
I have been a longtime client of Lucinda’s but I recently had an experience that made me never want to go back. They sent a follow-up email after my appointment asking how it was and I responded with a detailed response about my experience and how upset I was. I was disappointed that I never received any sort of response from them. I feel like I need to share this in a review because I don’t want anyone else to have to experience that I did.I’ve always felt respected and comfortable at Lucinda’s - even during a Brazilian wax. I’ve always gone to the same person and she’s always been great, conscious of people feeling exposed and she’s always been so kind, respectful and professional. To my dismay, I couldn’t get an appointment with her since she is working fewer hours now so I had to schedule an appointment with someone I had never had before.Whenever you get a Brazilian you’re always exposed - that’s a given, but the way this person had me totally exposed with my knees open the whole time and no towel over me and then had me roll over and get on my hands and knees with my butt in the air was just a little much. I hope no one reading this thinks that is actually normal… There are better ways to do it (like how the person I usually go to does). There was also more touching than necessary in places I’d prefer to not be touched (I know they are thorough but this was more touching than I’ve ever experienced before and I’ve had a lot of Brazilians over the years). I felt so incredibly uncomfortable. I wanted to get up and leave, I wish I had. It was a nightmare of an experience.After that experience, I’m not sure if I will ever go back to Lucinda’s and if I do, it will definitely only be to the one person I regularly go to.I left feeling rattled, disgusted and super uncomfortable with what had just happened. I don’t typically get this detailed with feedback but I would hate for another customer to go through that. Even worse that no one even responded to my email.
I was looking for a massage and stumbled upon Lucinda’s Day Spa. To my surprise, with a days notice, they were able to get me in with Mason. Mason was truly incredible, very professional, understood the body and where to target. I was specifically looking for deep tissue and he was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!
I really never have a bad review and understand that people have long days, but my experience today just wasn’t great at all. I used to come here when I was little with my mom so I checked it out 15 years later.. Checked in at the front, as I’m walking away to sit I can hear the two receptionists gossiping about someone & their boyfriend… odd & unprofessional. Hairstylist comes and collects me and was just really uninterested in any conversation or just responding with “mhm” “yeah”. So I showed her pics of what I wanted & I told her 3 times I wanted front pieces shorter and a lot of layers and I acknowledged and understood when she said she wanted to make the front pieces blend with the long hair. Anyways… basically rushed me out of her chair. My hair was still wet when I left and looked the same minus an inch. Again, I understand long days or bad days and I might’ve been the last client of the day (at 345)… the place closes at 5 today. I was out the door by 410
Always a Delight! Had a pedicure. Happy to see that they have replaced several of the older Pedicure Chairs. Would have loved to have a massage as well but they were all booked up. Will have to plan ahead next time! The lighting could be better. Its hard to pick out a polish color with the odd lighting
Had a not so great facial here. Therapist phone vibrated a few times during the appointment, and a few other small issues. Next day I decided to just call to let them know and spoke with Vicky the manager who didn’t identify herself as such until I persisted that I wished to speak with someone regarding a treatment I had received. Basically she explained everything away, did not say she was sorry I didn’t have a good experience, said the therapist was somewhat new and said she would speak with the her. I felt stupid for calling frankly, was just trying to let them know. I have had some excellent massage treatments here, however this recent experience and the handling of it, has really soured me.
Imagine our surprise when on arriving for our confirmed spa appointment we were told something came up and they could not honor our selection. When asked regarding the lack of a phone call alerting us, the response was it just came up.My son had booked us a massage in separate rooms with a manicure to follow. Offered instead, was a one room combined massage with individual masseuses. We declined, indicating we would call to re-book.Unfortunately, the clerk added increased unpleasantness to this encounter by restating the single room offer not twice but three times.Each time ignoring our simple response of no.On hearing his gift efforts turned out so poorly, my son called, Lucindas. He was told they were dealing with sick call outs. This doesnt correlate with having two masseuses available to us but in a single room. Nor to the lack of a phone call alerting us to the proposed change to our reservation.Acknowledging we all experience bad days, I will follow-up with another review to let you know how our re-booking went.
This place is very clean and professional. In the era of COVID-19, I was concerned about my wife going into a spa/ salon for services. Lucindas Day Spa is the ONLY place I feel at ease sending her. She got a pedicure and hair appointment and looked beautiful and relaxed afterwards. She said they took every precaution imaginable and she loved her hair!
READ THIS / LITERALLY WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER!:I informed the practitioner about my injury and why I scheduled my appoint. I was totally sore after the session (which is to be expected) but had literally zero range motion (which i am not blaming them for, it just happened)... but what REALLY blew my mind was how the massage therapist reacted.He did NOT believe me when I said I couldnt move. He the just stood there repeating himself that I had to leave immediately; and when I again explained what was transpiring and how I could NOT move, he looked me squarely in the eye and said, “Well, I need this room in ten minutes so you have to get up. He then left me there, like some slab of meat at a factory waiting to be processed, after I again pleaded for help.Eventually, after literally yelling for help someone showed up, and they helped me to the waiting room where I could recover in peace; and that is when the police showed up.Based on the arrival time the POLICE, the fact it was not an EMT, and how the officer talked about the confusion, it is evident the massage therapist actually got the cops called for a complaint and not out of concern. He JUST cared about his ten minutes prep time for his next session and NOT the immobile client stuck there.YES, THEY ACTUALLY CALLED THE POLICE ON AN IMMOBILE CLIENT!Now, I can afford the cost of whatever, but I also was stunned they didnt even offer to give me a discount or let me go gratis (note: this is EVEN AFTER I bought a $250 gift certificate).In short, keep your expectations very low because this is one of those industrial pseudo-spas where neither any of the workers have even been out of Cumberland County nor any of them have ever been a client at a spa themselves.Millennial Warning!
I have no complaints in regards to their COVID-19 related practices. I did not feel unsafe at any point during my visit.However, I was not so pleased with my manicure experience. I asked for a shellac manicure. The nail technician did only an okay job. The layers of polish were slathered on more than painted, which led to some bubbling and uneven look of the polish. On some of my nails she also painted all the way to the nail bed and/or filled in the nail folds (one can feel the sharp edges of those growing out now. I got my nails done for a special occasion, so this was somewhat disappointing. In addition, she seemed to be more interested in getting involved in some of the nearby working technicians conversations, which I find somewhat irritating, especially when the manicure turned out to be only mediocre.Not sure, if I would recommend this place in the future.

Ive been going to Lucindas since I was 13 (I remember having my 13th birthday party there!) and I am 26 now and I still love it! I usually treat my self for my birthday and I have never had a bad experience there. From facials, to massages, to manis and pedis, its all great! All the women in my family go to Lucindas as well, we all love it!
I went to Lucinda’s with a group of 5 other ladies for mani/pedis getting ready for a friend’s wedding. I wanted to LOVE it, as the staff was sweet. Unfortunately, my gel nails look like a young child did them, uneven polish AND nails. Since they are gel, all I could do is file them in attempt to make them look as even as possible. But they are bad, really, really bad. My toes look better, but the color should have had another coat applied as you can see dark areas and there are several visible imperfections especially on my big toes. I have pictures to prove it. $80 later, I am feeling very outraged, frustrated and so wishing I had done them myself.

My daughter and I recently had a keratin treatment, and were very disappointed that we were both back to frizzy within a week. No complaints about the stylists, but believe the product used was ineffective. It was a waste of time and money.
I recommended you folks to my son as he wanted to get a package for his girlfriend for Christmas. He tried doing a half day package and you dont do that. He tried scheduling an appointment for her for several services and you dont take advance payments. He didnt want to just hand her a gift certificate for an amount, he wanted it to be a little more personal. So he ended up going elswhere. You folks should really change your policies as you are probably missing out on business this way.

TERRIBLE quality!Manicure lasted 24 hours, the top coat was clearly applied too soon and cracked on all of the nails. Manicure was rushed and the quality is awful. The nail technicians were clearly in a hurry. I will NEVER go back
