Mile High Spirits

Dont let the made for Instagram party bar in front fool you, around back these folks are distilling spirits at an insanely high level. They have been a favorite Colorado made bourbon of mine for some time, and it was a blast seeing their urban distillery in action. Jay was a genuine personality and gave a killer tour.The tasting pours were also very generous, including some special release whiskeys that blew me away. This is quite simply some of the best brown water you could ever hope to find in Colorado, distilled by good folks who arent afraid to have ample amounts of fun while doing so. My kind of vibe!

Jay was the absolute best tour guide! It was just the two of us and he was informative! He walked us through the entire process and let us try whatever we wanted. 11/10 recommend a tour here.

1st stop ever in Denver, and this place is great! Stop in for happy hour! Fantastic spirits - recommend the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned. Also, I bought a bottle of Dumpster Fire to take home. Curious what that is? So was I, so I tasted it, and left with a bottle. Jazz was sooooo cool - gave us excellent info on the spirits here and Denver in general. She rules. Visit her

Jay lead our tour and did a great job explaining the process and how this distillery is different from others. After the tour we stayed and had a couple of drinks. The menu is unique and our drinks were delicious. My friend and I purchased several bottles to bring home...I highly recommend tasting dumpster fire, it does not disappoint. I will definitely be back!

It was my first time here tonight. Overall, it was a good night but I didn’t expect to get hit in the face by a man while going through the crowd. Thankfully, the security team were watching the crowd and they saw the assault happen. When it happened I was stunned bcus I was just trying to get through the crowd saying excuse me to everyone dancing. I realized that it wasn’t an accident because of the way the security team went to the guy and his group, to kick them out. I’m really grateful that they saw what happened and acted accordingly. I was even more grateful when the security guard, Arturo, came up to me to apologize and to make sure I was okay. As a woman, I was scared that no one would believe me but even the security guard who didn’t see what happened made sure the police was involved. There’s always a risk for things like this to happen in public. The security team can’t stop all bad things in the bar but I’m glad they were attentive and focused. Thank you guys.

Just had a tour/tasting at Mile High and had an awesome time! Our tour guide, Kai, was super cool and very knowledgeable about the process. We all had an awesome time tasting the delicious whiskeys and had an opportunity to learn about an awesome local business. Keep up the awesome work!

If youre looking for a place to go where the bartenders and security will let your wife get completely harassed and not do anything. This is the place for you. Thats what happened to us during game 4 of the Nuggets/Lakers. Then when I came out of the bathroom and saw that my wife was being completely harassed and messed with. It didnt take any time to notice that security or the bar staff were doing nothing. Literally nothing at all about it. So when I stepped in and asked for them to leave my wife alone, The two guys started getting physical with me and when security finally figured out what their job was and came over, they still managed to let one of the guys punch me right in the face. The bartender who saw my wife getting harassed actually told her to calm down when she had to jump out of her bar stool because some drunken psychopath was trying to lay on her.They will be hearing from my attorney and the Denver Police. This place is an absolute dump and the staff is more than worthless. Go through my reviews. You will find that this is as bad as it gets for me.They couldnt have been more slow to do anything about anything. This is an unsafe bar to hang out at. I repeat, This bar is unsafe. Only hang out here if you are looking for a fight where worthless staff will let a happen.Its nice that they had a bunch of friends. Give them five star reviews. But as an actual restaurant/bar reviewer who is actually paid for this... This is one of the most dangerous places in Colorado to hang out at.Ownership and staff should be overtly ashamed. Keep your family somewhere safe. This is not it

Very cool spot! They had all kinds of choices of fused alcohols. Had a pickle and vodka and a tequila and blueberry amongst the other choices of shots. Came there to see my Uber drivers band he mentioned, Wes Us! They freaking rocked! Great music and a great atmosphere and met a bunch of interesting folks too! Will hit this spot up again, especially if another band is playing and even more especially if Wes Us is back!

We had a great time on the tour. Jay (Joshua) was awesome! Atmosphere was energetic. Will definitely come back when were in town.

Jay was a great tour guide. Very enthusiatic and knowledgeable about the bourbon process and makes it very interesting to learn. Also some fun facts that I would have never known.

Kai walked us through the process here at Mile High Spirits along with making two classic drinks using their bourbon. We left with two different bottles of their brown gold!

Not a huge fan of downtown clubs but this one hits different. Great music and fantastic vibes. Their use of headphones were dope. A bit crowded but what else is new? Also, their light show was awesome

If you have a weak gut, proceed with caution. Ive tried every cleanse out there, now this one COMPLETLEY cleared me out. Cleared out our whole friend group, we lost 5lbs in poop! If you are constipated, I highly reccomend this place.Aside from the bubble gut from their in house made spirits, the atmosphere was nice and all of the staff were friendly and hard workers! They even found my friends watch and kept it safe!

Kai was so great in conversation and knowledge! Was able to experience the cocktail class just the 2 of us.(My husband and I used the Groupon) Learned alot about mile high company and the local area.!

We had a distillery tour with Kai and he was so informed and charismatic. He explained the process throughly and made sure we understood everything throughout the tour. The whisky batrelt smell was so pungent and cool.He answered all questions with a smile and i would absolutely recommend this tour because of Kai!

Was hesitant to come here based on negative reviews, but the lady at Charlies tools down the street said to check it out so we did. Were here on a Saturday afternoon and this place is chill as heck! Live music and a cool atmosphere. Bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable. Theres no food, but the taco truck is FIRE. Forget all the negatives, come here for yourself.

Great experience. We stopped in randomly on a Wednesday and did not regret it. Steven was our bar specialist of the afternoon and went above and beyond even with the social distancing guidelines. Cool atmosphere with an outside area that sets the mood. We had the Blackberry Mist and the Tequila Strawberry Lemonade and a flight of 5 of their signature spirits. All was amazing. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Such a great tour and cocktail class! I would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about the distilling process or learning how to make a great old fashion cocktail! We will definitely be back again very soon!

Great bar area and patio, good music if you catch the fight day, and fun games in the back. Quite the mix of infused liquors and some amazing cocktails. If you dont know what to get, I suggest the charity cocktail donates.to a local cause and typically a good choice (see picture... Thats from just 3 people!)Heads up: no beer. 21 and over. Pool costs money. Still 5 stars

The beer scene is so vibrant in Denver, that every once in a while it’s good to try something different. Mile High Spirits is close to Coors Field to make it a pre- or post-game stop and has many fun and refreshing cocktails available.It’s kid-friendly enough that if you’re there with family, feel free to bring the kids.We sat indoors where it was a little too loud with the live band but they have a good outdoor space too.

Went here today for the first time in years. The Bartender Dan deserves a raise. Despite being empty when I arrived he was very knowledgeable of the area and the menu at Mile High Spirits. We decided to take him up on his recommendations and the night went smoothly. 10 ⭐ s if I could.

Absolutely wonderful time, the tour with Brad was amazing, the drinks are delicious (Punching Mule!) and cheaper than on the east coast. Would highly recommend to anyone and cant wait to go back

Oh my gosh the tour was AMAZING!! Highly recommend. Hailey was so knowledgeable and friendly, Im so glad I found it.

Our group worked with Mile High to arrange a tour and guided tasting event. It was way above and beyond our expectations. Hailey was excellent helping make the arrangements, and Marissa was truly outstanding leading us through our entire experience. She was extremely knowledgeable on the tour, way beyond the standard tour guide notes, and didnt flinch at some out-of-the-box questions some of us threw out there. Thats nothing, though, compared to the tasting itself. We arrived and they had all three of our flights (12 drinks total) laid out and ready at our private table, and once again Marissa shined as she casually talked us through each spirit. The group consensus on favorites were the Fireside Bottled in Bond and the Fireside Port-Cask Specialty Bourbon. Our event also included a complementary snifter to take home per person, and every member of our seven-person group took advantage of the per-person bottle discount. They even held onto our items while we went to the baseball game and came back a few hours later. This was the most curated and best executed event of our trip, and Ive been telling everyone. Mile High will be a must-visit spot any time Im back in Denver!

What a cool distillery! We had a great time touring, tasting and making cocktails!

When I think distillery I imagine a place that makes their own hooch and goes for a more classy craft drinks atmosphere. Make no mistake, this is da club. The mixed drinks were good, but they dont actually distill anything. Infuse? Yes. Distill? No. They had a DJ playing electronic music with exactly one jersey shore type bro showing off his moves. Not really my scene, but not terrible. Also they remove all the chairs from around the bar at around 9-930, without much explanation. Some dude just came up and told me to take my jacket off the chair because he was taking it. I didnt realize he was even bar staff until they started removing the rest of them.

I had the most extraordinary first experience here! During the day they give tours of their distillery and by night they have a variety of different entertainment throughout the week. From Bingo, to live music any night has something great in store. My personal favorite is stopping in on the weekend and enjoying the silent disco with friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they recommended a vodka strawberry lemonade based around what I was looking for. It did not disappoint!! 10/10 would recommend coming here!!!

Don made outstanding recommendations for several different drinks. His recommendations were on point and with no disappointments. His Old Fashioned was the best I’ve had of the hundreds if not thousands of Old Fashioned’s I’ve had. It really was delicious. Don also brought an exemplary atmosphere and customer service. As a National Park Service Park Ranger who prides themselves on that exemplary customer service for the Federal Government, the general public, and the tax payer, Don brings the same to the paying customer and to the business mission of High Mile Spirits. At the time we went the only food item they were serving was popcorn. The tour was awesome and we got to sample nearly all of what they offer. The flavor called Dumpster Fire was our combined favorite, but the Old Fashioned flavor was well thought out. The Summit gin was also highly notable. Our guide was very friendly and mostly knowledgeable of the processes. Even with other parties going on there was more than enough space that if we wanted to stay away from them we could. The owner was also very nice while greeting and thanking our party for coming out. We did try additional cocktails which were reasonably priced and very flavorful.

The tour was very informative and Kai was personable and did a wonderful job! Everything was delicious

Cocktails are amazing! The crawfish boil is the best in Denver! They actually have the Landshark company that farms the crawfish bring it from Louisiana and prepare it. FANTASTIC

We were in Denver and had read about tours at Mile High Spirits. My GF is a bourbon lover and we saw that had a few tasty looking bourbon choices. We decided to book a tour and took The Steamy Wonder Special (Free Tour). We had the good luck of getting Hailey for our tour guide. She knew the distilling process down cold and did a great job of explaining the process and the different spirits that Mile High Spirits produces. Hailey was very entertaining and is a great representative Mile High Spirits. She described which of their products we may enjoy after listening to what we already liked from other distilleries. Hailey did a great job of promoting their products without doing a hard sell. All of their products were available for sale plus they had a full bar. If you are lucky enough to get Hailey as your tour guide mention that you work for OSHA plus are from the Chicago suburbs and you can score a few extra samples.

This place is all about timing. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, put on your dancing shoes (not too fancy though; they will get dirty). Hip-hop outside, EDM/Top-50 inside.On a Saturday midday, however, bluegrass and Bloody Marys galore. Highly recommend going. They only serve liquor. But with their variety of infusions, youll find a taste for everyone. I personally flock towards the barrel aged old fashioned and black pepper infused gin.

Last night was my first time and last time going here. The main party was done but they had people going in for what I’m guessing was an after party. I had been outside so I tried to go back in to retrieve my jacket that I left inside. One of the bouncers refused to let me get it and repeatedly told me there was nothing inside. I remained in the doorway, telling him that it was, and he aggressively pushed me back to get me to move. I stood my ground and he did it again. He was joined by two other men who all told me to leave and that my jacket wasn’t there. Eventually, someone from inside threw my jacket at me over their shoulders. There was absolutely no need for that man to put his hands on me or have three men yell at me, telling me I was wrong when obviously I was right. I did not yell or do anything to warrant him putting his hands on me and I have not been able to stop crying at this assault. It was an absolutely horrible experience.

We did not eat here but will score them a five because I’m sure it would be amazing!The flight was beautiful and tasty. The School Lunch Punch and Blood Orange Twist were bright in flavor.Jaz was such an awesome host and bartender. She made our experience so chill and gave great recs of what’s in Denver. Thank you!!

Seriously fantastic place with a chill vibe. All their liquor is brewed in house and its all fantastic! The bartender is classy and pours fantastic drinks from all the in house liquors from everything from a vodka strawberry lemonade to a pickle shot! Theres frequently great entertainment, except for that one time a comedy show got canceled. Its a great place to hang out and get some great drinks!

Night was ruined when I checked my account and saw I was overcharged for entry.Me and my GF went on a bar crawl. I have been here before so I was very excited to return. Unfortunately the guys up front were just trying to push people in. They charged me $50 and my gf the same amount. I remember this place didn’t have an admission. Just ruined the night. Everyone else we encountered from bartenders to security were cool and professional.

Great spirits and cocktails. The atmosphere is more than comfortable and we had an awesome live band play while we enjoyed our drinks.

In December of 2017 I visited a friend in Denver to console myself after my first real heartbreak. She took me to Mile High Spirits. We started the night by being one of three people on the dance floor, giving it our all. It was amazing, but not the best part of the night. After drinking a bit, dancing more, and letting midnight inch closer, we bumped into a very charismatic and lovely woman. I must have drunkenly given her my story, because she told me “who do you want to kiss in here tonight?” And I pointed at the tall hot Denver mountain man that was all the way across the crowded room. She brought him to me and I kissed that hot man that night—nothing more than a kiss—but it made me realize that there were more (incredibly attractive) men out there, and specifically that Denver was where my kind of man was. Anyway cut to 2021 I finally made the move to Denver and met my now fiancée. It all started with Mile High.So yeah 5 stars.

Nice place to chill. Several spirits are infused at the bar only. Excellent options and super smooth liquors. No table service, but otherwise awesome place.

Althea has been an absolute gem! She made this experience so great. Im from Michigan and I would totally come back just to see her. What an amazing place to visit.

This place has high school dance vibes in the worst way lol. It’s a small place with people who seem like they’ve never experienced a good club before. The music the night we went was awful. A lot of homeless people begging in front of the building since there’s a shelter next door. If you just turned 21 then you might enjoy this place.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Didn’t know what to expect when we walked in the door. We were greeted by warm friendly smiles from the bartenders who helped us pick out drinks. She even bought us a shot and did it with us since we were from out of town. The people were friendly and welcoming. The drinks were amazing. The outdoor patio had games and live music and was just a great place to chill and hang out. I will always visit this bar when I come back in to Denver. What an amazing place.

The cucumber vodka here is absolutely divine. Love the space but I wish it was in a better part of lodo.

Large selection of infused liquors. Tasty drink concoctions and a rustic warehouse vibe. Not very busy on a Thursday at 8pm but would visit again.

I had high hopes for this place, as I had tried their Strawberry Lemonade Tequila drink elsewhere and it was incredible.. But honestly, I was so excited to try this place based off of how good my one previous drink was, but the actual establishment was horrendous. The service was awful, and the experience was just okay. Made the one good drink not worth it. Our whole experience here was awful, and I wouldnt return for how me and my husband were treated alone.

We were in town for a long weekend and ended up spending much more time here than planned. Absolutely LOVED this place. Drinks are so delicious, the staff is the nicest! They have a fun photo booth, games and just an overall great vibe. Already cant wait to go back!

If you want to dance and have an extra strong adult beverage, this is the place to be. DJ was legit and played some great mixes.

An amazing distillery; lounge by day and dance club by night! The spirits are fantastic and the staff are very knowledgeable about their brands. The tours are fun and educational. This is a great place to meet great people, drink exceptional house made spirits and cocktails and have fun without being judged for having fun and being yourself, good vibes only!

First time was okay

I love this place. Its where love is found and break ups happen. Id rather go here than Beta or Vinyl Dance club. My bartender Casey was awesome. He always makes my drinks in 30 seconds. He even hooked me up with a few free drinks. Which I still gladly tipped him. He was even a wingman for a few girls I met. Every time I go to mile high spirits there is good music, attractive people and good drinks. You never know how your night will go here. But its pretty much always positive for me.

Super fun and cool establishment. Went there on a silent disco night and their logistics was a nightmare. There was one person responsible for handing out headphones but required an ID to give one out. Upon reaching the front of the line for the headphone, we saw multiple piles of IDs left laying around in front of us. There were people cutting around us to take their IDs and help themselves return the headphones with no oversight from the person handling it. He was over flooded with work and needed help. Please do better with our IDs.

Great staff, did the flight of their whiskey and was great! I prefer Rye for spice in spirits and again the Rye they have is a high proof - roughly 128 proof neat! That said, it will please regular Rye drinkers, and surprise other Whiskey drinkers with how smooth it is - tastes 80 or so, Well done and will be back some day...January is looking good.

Hands down best Local Whiskey from Colorado! Love this place as a bar,(it’s a blast!!) but truly respect the distillery. I’ve been around the world tasting whiskey and their Single Barrel is something special. If you’re not into straight whiskey, the Old Fashion, their vodka, gin and tequila are all amazing value for the $$. I can’t say anything bad about this place. Take time to chat w the people who work there bc every one that works there is a character in the best way. Thank you guys for making amazing booze with Colorado pride. Can’t wait till things open up for live music. Until then I’ll be stopping by for cases. Cheers

Great building. High ceilings, great air flow. The main dance floor gets super crowded but you can easily dance on the edge and have fun. Music was fun, but a little basic. Great place if youre an average American. Not weird and wild enough for me personally. Wonderful service though. On the way there my friend fell and hurt her hand. One of the staff saw she was hurt and brought her an ice pack. Exceptional service.

Cool spot, lots of unique drinks. Great outdoor area!! Cute spaces to take fun pics. If you have a chance, do the tour of the distillery. They dont have food but dont mind if you bring food from outside.

Seriously cool place with an awesome liquor selection. They infuse all their own vodkas and gins to make some pretty unique cocktails like different flavored mules or gin and tonics, among other things. Live music on the weekends and have had major some pretty major artists come through. If you want a crisp drink in a cool place on a summer afternoon, check it out.

Pretty basic bar TBH but its always lit on the weekends. They have the best pickle shots and very interesting other infusions that they make in house.They have a lounge area and a main dance floor. The music is normally really good and they always have a DJ on the weekends.Great place to go dancing and get some good liquor too. 👌

Pros: they make their own alcohol! Seriously, good stuff. They have a nice large dance floor.The reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because I was under the impression is was a really busy place with lots of people. If your there at 9:30 on a Friday night, it is mostly men and not many people there at all. I know that is early for many party goers. With a 6 am shift, I still wanted a little party before heading home for the night. That is not what I got for the reputation they have.

Drinks are made strong. I had a bit much and my boyfriend was trying to take me home. The bouncer was super rude and did not allow me to wait for my Uber. Instead he made a bigger seen and called the cops as I was waiting for my Uber. I was just sitting half asleep Waiting for my Uber just wanting to get home. I wish the bouncer left us alone and allowed me to get home. Worst experience ever. My friend had left a bit later and accidentally left her phone on a table. When she went to grab it the bouncer did not allow her and wanted her to wait in line. She can see her phone from the door and asked if he could just get it for her so she could leave. He informed her no she had to wait in line in order to grab it. The line wait was about 30min. We will never be going back. Bouncers have a bad power trip.

Love this spot! They make their all their own liquors and liquor infusions! Very tasty. We tried a flight of 5 spirits for $15, an awesome deal. The homemade spiked seltzers were really good too. Will be back!

Great atmosphere. My wife(dd) and I went with two friends mid day Saturday. The drinks were great and very interesting. The All day was especially good in my opinion. There was a food truck outside that had Mexican food.

Wonderful environment. Cabanas, couches, & corn hole. They have a wide selection of house distilled spirits, then barrel age or infuse them.

So fun on Thursdays for Bingo! The MC Joey is hilarious! Highly recommend! Try their apple mule made with apple pie moonshine, so tasty.

Kayla is the most informative whiskey tour giver out there! I loved her enthusiasm and she is incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all my whiskey inquires!

Fun atmosphere but often times way too packed with long drink lines. They also have no beer (yes I know its a distillery but they could at least have some cans available for those who dont want to slam shots). Lastly, just my opinion, but some of their flavored shots like the pickle variety are absolutely awful compared to competition. This place is worth swinging by for sure but for your wallet and well being, I wouldnt make a habit of it.

Place was spacious. Music was good. One staff member really messed up the experience there. I want to say his name was Nick (redhead, black cap, black top with dog logo). Mistakenly walked into the mens restroom and he literally got in my face and yelled at me to get out! I wasnt trying to cause trouble, it was an honest mistake. Im 51 and 120 lbs, suffice it to say it was a bit scary. My group and I left after that. At least there are plenty of other bars and awesome food trucks around. Im only one person but I hope they get rid of him before it continues in that direction. He was awful. I expect downtown to be crazy but that was disappointing.

If your looking for a well made old fashioned or signiture cocktail drink this is not the location for you. They prefer to entertain the party scene.This past weekend my husband and I met some friends there to watch our friend play in a bluegrass band. For our first old fashioned we were only allowed to order the premade old fashioned mix by the male bartender. My husband wanted a rye whiskey old fashioned and the male bartender said he could make it for him. For my second drink, I went to the same bartender and asked for a barrel aged gold rum whiskey he made it bitters and all then preceded to take a sip of my drink. Classy bartending. For my husbands second drink he went to the female bartender and she made the rye whiskey Old fashioned for him. Bitters and all. For his third drink the same male bartender refused to let him get the same drink that the lady bartender made. Im not sure if he is showing sexism or what but, those interactions were ridiculous. Also, he would not make bloody Marys for our two male friends but, did for other people.Second, if you expect people to be following the mask mandate dont go here. No one wore a mask at all. Great place to catch COVID.Id love to talk over the phone to a manager. This isnt a place for people who want to enjoy a well made cocktail.Please no excuses to my comments. The sexism was ridiculous and needs to be addressed along with the mask mandate.

Polite staff, strong drinks and decent location. We loved the unlimited fresh popcorn. My SO and I, traveling from Portland, decide to check it out and felt that it didn’t have the same social ambience that the local breweries had to offer.

Our tour guide Cory & Master Distiller Tyler were awesome!! As well as the whole staff in this establishment!! The drinks & atmosphere is a must for anyone traveling to or living in the Denver area! We also had the pleasure of listening to The Two Tracks Bluegrass band from Sheridan, Wyoming!! Shout out!! Highly recommend!!

One of the best night clubs in Denver during the weekends. The stuffs are very friendly and respectful. Good music, good Variety of drinks and big patio to chill and relax.

I usually go here at night on the weekend. This is the new hot spot to go to. There is usually a line to get in the door. Drinks are reasonable. You can get a pretty good tasting mule here, but they dont have copper cups. Music is pretty good. They one have one set of girls and boys bathrooms. As soon as you think you need to use it, do it, because you could be in for a long wait.

I watched them pour it and requested they stop. I even got straight liquor to taste what you have as a distillery, and it is lackluster at best. There are so many others out there that are better in and around Denver.And P.S. the only good thing that particular evening was the D.J. because the music was great.

Neat place with tons of spirits, drinks are good and its a really great picture spot. Really, really funny spot for social media pics. Also the drinks are amazing, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Good not great place. it is very open and does have an outdoor area bit not a huge fan of the distillery itself. just my own personal opinion. The bourbon isnt bad but the rum and gin are not good at all. My wife does enjoy their punching mule canned Moscow mule though.

Mile High Spirits is an awesome place. The entire staff is extremely friendly, the atmosphere is great (huge couches and cool lights), and the drinks are great too which are all distilled in house. Thursday nights are especially fun b/c some of Denvers best musicians come in and have an open jam. I would recommend Mile High Spirits to anyone who wants to have a great time.

Place is going down hill faster than the Gin mill. Floors always sticky, bartenders work while sick, drinks are made poorly. They need bar rescue asap.

Amazing spot, went at 5 and the atmosphere was really good. Lauralee is a phenomenal bartender, and made the visit. The creations available here are truly impressive. If youre a spirits fan, particularly an infusion fan, this is a killer spot!

I just had the same experience yesterday with this bartender that wears glasses. I brought in an empty bottle of Fireside for a free drink and this guy was a complete prick from the very start. I asked for a drink suggestion and he was very rude and condescending. When I told him I dont like sweet drinks he asked well how do you normally drink your whiskey? I told him neat so he very rudely poured me a shot. This was his chance to sell me on something different, but instead he has completely ruined this distillerys image along with any product they are associated with. I came in with three friends, all wearing Broncos gear, and he said multiple times all Broncos fans are dip s**ts. WOW!! Considering we were his only patrons at the time, maybe he should learn to embrace local sports fans or move to a different city. He mentioned their Sunday crowd is never good, and now it is obvious why. I tried to smooth things over because it was obvious my friends felt awkward he was acting this way, and another comment he made was youre drinking whiskey at 11:00 AM, lighten up. I will never support this distillery again by purchasing a product in the liquor store, nor will I return to this bar. It is a shame after all these poor reviews about this same person, he is still there representing the business. You are obviously miserable in customer service, you do not belong behind the bar. I went to the Stranahans lounge later that afternoon and it was a completely different experience. Bartenders there are proud to be pouring a high quality product and they made it a very pleasant experience.

An employee followed my two friends and I out to our car and demanded that we Venmo him $5 for a churro that was left on an exit door that fell on the ground as we left. I venmoed him so he would leave us alone and I just wanted to go home. Really disappointing (and pathetic) because I’ve wanted to try this place for a long time and this was my first experience there.

The tour was great! A very knowledgeable guide. Nice tasting. Cocktails in the main lounge were a bit lackluster. They might do better to serve them in short glasses.

This place use to be awesome but it has gone from a distillery with finely crafted cocktails to just another bar downtown where this still only serve their own stuff. Still fun but just not the distillery that it is to be. That being said it is still a decent place to watch sports.

This place is located in the heart of Denver. It has a huge tasting room with the distillery hidden in the back. Atmosphere is lively. They have a stage for a live band or DJ. The patio in the back is where most people hangout. Lots of infused liquor to taste with a full bar to order your mix drinks. Bartenders were helpful.

Tyler was an awesome bartender. Go see him.

Loads of flavored spirits in a large space. Fun low key not super trendy dancing crowd to lively dj. As one may expect in a large crowd of people drinking and dancing, tables eventually get covered with half empty cocktails and spilled drinks as the revelers get hot and sweaty on the dance floor. Generally a good time. No cover and great place for groups to go.

Solid 5 stars. Perhaps the best bar in Denver. In house distillery and infusions, very knowledgeable and charismatic bartenders, large open space. Just a fantastic experience if you get the chance to visit.

So great to have an option with a bloody Mary bar and lve folk music. The bloody Marys are really good and spicy with lots of bases from pickle and cucumber to banana peppers and pineapple. The service is quick and friendly, they almost bend over backwards to serve you. Come out and start your Saturday here in a relaxing and friendly environment.

Mile high spirits is a great place for a cocktail! Lots of space, and they have games on their outdoor patio. But really, its the staff here that really make it (especially Cory...thanks for the laughs!).

Definitely one of my fave places when Im in Denver, CO. The atmosphere is good (especially when you find yourself out on a Saturday afternoon), the drinks are moderately priced, and IMO its better than a lot of the places in the area.

Its a fun bar for dancing. They changed the song a lot and had a fake dj but aside from that it is always a bunch of fun. Crazy drinks they make in house, but they have some really yummy ones as well. Try the tequila strawberry lemonade!

Arrived on a Friday at 2:30pm; barely anyone there. Waited 20 minutes for a drink with one bartender on his phone and the other wandering all over the place doing who knows what. Finally got asked for ids, then proceeded to wait another 5 minutes. Ended up not ordering anything and leaving.Dont care how good the drinks are here. It is not worth standing around with inattentive employees.

A great bar with a lot of great cocktails that are distilled in house! Friendly staff and STRONG drinks that docent empty your wallet. Kinda noisy on a Sat night with a small wanna be dance floor but still is a great go to LODO bar!

Cool spot to hang out and drink cockails. Bear in mind they only serve and make drinks with their own products so the drink selection is a limited. Something to bear in mind is that on weekend they convert the space which was previously pretty relaxed into more of club atmosphere with limited success. Prior to the conversion its a cool spot to hang and pay corn hole.

This distillery has amazing cocktails! The Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Fashioned is incredible. Such a great, sweet old fashioned. And the the Almond Sour is also incredible. You will not be dissapointed.

Came to visit from Montana. Was bar hopping with my boyfriend and his cousin. Really liked the atmosphere in this bar but the bartender wearing glasses was a complete ass. VERY rude! My boyfriends ID is old and worn and he made a comment about it. Alls my boyfriend said was Its 100% me and the bartender went on a whole tangent and talked to us like we were completely incompetent. Then, his cousin asked what drinks he recommended and was totally rude and went on another rant about that too! Reading through these other reviews I see other people are having the same experiences with this man. Why is he still working at this place?

Drinks were tasty and interesting. Small, simple design in the testing room, not quite cozy but nice. If you order a drink in one of their mugs except them to keep your ID until you return in.

Dude with the glasses is a total douche. He was talking for 15 minutes to the people next to me while my glass is empty. They asked one simple question. Youre a bartender, tend the bar. Talk if you want while youre doing it, I dont care. The bar is in business to make money and keep drinks selling. When he finally saw I was agitated, he told me I should speak up. Hence, he is now deemed douchbag. The rest of the staff was cool. The drinks were very watered down, not sure if its because it was happy hour.

The bartender with the glasses was extremely rude. I understand you dont serve wine or beers but please give me a menu then so that I can figure out what I would like to order. I was trying to be easy and pointed to a drink someone had and said that looked good but he snapped at me and almost yelled at me saying Instead of randomly pointing at drinks why dont you tell me what you like?! Never will go here again!

Great music (we were there or Friday and they had a live DJ) with a ton of infused liquor choices (some fairly unique) loved the pickle vodka! Lots of open space when the night picks up and descent amount of long high tops before.

I give it three stars only because of the quality of drinks.For a 7 dollar drink (on average) this booze (all of it) isnt quality by any means.The whiskey is terrible, just drink gasoline.However, if youre looking to go, over spend on drinks and meet a bunch of bros a Jersey ChasersThis place is perfect.Oh, and this is only for the night crowd - might be a completely different atmosphere during the day.

This place has a drink called Barrel Aged Old Fashioned that should be on Denvers 10 top drinks! You must stop here for quality, and if you are lucky enough to have Natalie as you waiter concider yourself blessed, she is an inspiring and kind bartender that will help you create your wildest dreams.

My boyfriend and I stopped here while walking around down and couldnt be happier we did. Drinks were great and who doesnt love when theres popcorn?? Hung out here for a couple drinks and couple games of pool. I would recommend making this a stop.

So Im houseless, a friend and I were sitting on the sidewalk side of the building of mile high distillery trying to stay worm in the sun not bothering anyone when Denvers finest stopped and told us we had to leave. I Said no problem we will leave, I explained to the two very unfriendly officers we were just trying to catch some sun and were trying to warm up a little. She informed us that the establishmentMHSD called and told them we were harassing the customers?At the time this occurred it was about 12:30 am.....Mile high spirits distillery doesnt open till 2pm? There were no customers.....Im sorry but I would never enter a bar that maliciously make false accusations against the homeless community.What would motivate a person to act out like this?

$20 cover a person for bad drinks and a bar that thinks its a club? Nah

Every time I come here they are ALWAYS professional and the drinks are ALWAYS good! Lots of live music too. Cant recommend this spot enough to people who like hard liquor.

Visiting CO from AZ and we had an amazing tour and time. Honey was very friendly and a great conversationalist. Will definitely come back for the amazing drinks and atmosphere.

Can’t say enough about this place. Amazing product(s), but more importantly, Korey was so passionate about the business and their vision. He gave us a tour of the whole place unexpectedly and he was so detailed and passionate about the company and the people behind it. 100% will be back again.

This place definitely doesnt have a Tasting Bar kind of vibe. Its more like a night club. They do make decent liquors though; so keep an eye out for them next time youre at your local store.

Attended the Halloween bar crawl. The website for tickets clearly states free cover at every participating venue. Yet mile high is going to charge people a 20 dollar cover. Unbelievable. Waste of time and money.

Some of the most wildly inconsistent swill that you could waste your money on. The best way to choke it down is heavily mixed with something, anything to cover its nasty taste. What do you expect from a bottle of stuff produced from 3 different states and then cut with Colorado water. While it is a cheap bottle of booze it taste every bit like its cheap. Save your money and buy a real bottle of bourbon.

The variety of unusual hand crafted cocktails is worth a peek. The space has a ton of personality and love the inside and large outdoor patio.

This place is garbage. Tried to help my girlfriend find her purse and was repeatedly shoved by security because it was time to close. Super convenient that a girl that worked there walked out of the back with it and all of the (massive amount of) cash was gone.

I see someone else also referenced a guy in glasses snapping at her, which could very well have been the same bartender I had. I ordered a whiskey sour and rather than telling me how much it would be, he said if you looked like your friend this would be free. What? So I called him out for being extremely rude and unprofessional but instead of just apologizing he got uber defensive and told me that if I didnt have a sense of humor I should leave. Awkward douchebag. Will not come back.

The place is beast mode on a club banging night and the people and staff are awsome the drinks will definetly mess you up and there own distillery is ibdeed somethibg to try in the glass. Free to get in and always booming the beat. When i want to bboy i go here cause its just that great. ✌

Always love coming here and trying new drinks. Patio is a great place for those who aren’t really for the crowd, and it’s awesome it’s always available. There’s always something happening when I’m here so never a shortage of fun.

Its a good atmosphere to have a one on one or to chill with good friends. If you are looking for a cold beer not going to find it here but the spirits and cocktails are on point.

This place is a hidden gem, if you visit any other distillery this place and the knowledgeable staff and owners will be the best one by far. Joe and Natty are the nicest people and you are family when you go there.
