I am a return customer and will continue to return even though it’s not a 5 star in my mind.Phillis the owner who does all the treatments is very sweet, she is however notoriously late. I have had to wait a half hour on two separate occasions now, one in which I just left. I have never had an appointment start on time with her. Being a world traveller specifically to a lot of developing nations, I understand that this for many is just a way of life, so I give her the benefit of the doubt bc I like her as a person. But if you want a professional you would expect to receive in America, this may not be your place.
Had an appointment and it was canceled when Phyllis called back she was rude and unprofessional. Reschedule for another day with her. Arrived for my 11a appointment at 1050a sat and waited until 1137a then left after making several attempts via the home and text to contact Phyllis. No communication or response from her about being late or not being able to make the appointment time.
I scheduled an appointment online with Ange De La Mer after purchasing a Groupon for them. Their calendar had availability the day after thanksgiving, so I booked in the afternoon. Two days beforehand, I was called and told they weren’t open that day due to the holiday and that I would need to reschedule. Fine, but why have your online appointment calendar reflect openings when you aren’t actually open? So, I rescheduled for Saturday instead. I asked about a morning time and was told by the receptionist…”well, you may want to look more toward the afternoon. Our person tends to run a bit behind”. I saw that they closed at 5 so I asked for 4:00; again I got “you should probably make it 3:00 because she may be behind”. Wow, ok. So I booked for 3:00. At noon of the day of the appointment (today), Phyllis, the person doing my facial, called to cancel citing “all the snow and icy roads”. I had just come from being outside and driving where the salon is; the (very light) snow had stopped an hour before and the roads were basically dry. I questioned her saying this was now the second time they were cancelling on me, and she said gosh really sorry but I’m not coming in. When I tried to reschedule, which was now going to affect a chemical peel appointment that I had made a month out from the micro needling, she told me someone would have to call me back next week to reschedule because that is only done in the office, and she was at home. At that, I decided to pull the plug on this place. Then, after coming to Google and reading the reviews, I’m glad I did. I got my money refunded from the Groupon and will NOT be going here. Thank goodness; it seems like I dodged a bullet!
The receptionist was the only positive thing about my visit. She was the most patient, respectful and professional person in the office. As for the woman Phyllis who did my microneedling facial, was incredibly unprofessional and unorganized. My appt was double booked so they offered me a free session in the wellness pod while I wait with no health disclosures for it. I would imagine they should’ve been one like to make sure you eat and drink enough before using it because I was on the verge of passing out after I sweat out most of my body weight(and I’m a petite person) from a 45 min red light vibrating sauna session. My actual appointment started 2 hours past the scheduled start time and while I waited, her personal phone was left in the room with the sound on for every notification and typing sound, including loud obnoxious ringtones while I was supposed to be “relaxing”. Halfway through applying the numbing treatment she answered a personal phone call and chatted with a rental tenant before returning to the numbing cream application. When she came back to do the microneedling she was trying to small talk with me about her phone call with her tenant while the machine was on my face so it was very uncomfortable to try and respond. Also the room that the service was done has a big window with open blinds facing the main road, which is where you’re supposed to remove your top and put on a spa towel, which was very uncomfortable and nerve wracking considering the open window(there was a huge machine preventing me from trying to close the blinds so I had to awkwardly crunch myself into the corner to change). It was overall the least relaxing and most stressful facial I’ve experienced. She was trying to sell me on packages and products right after grazing over the aftercare process(only said no makeup for the rest of the day, no mention of avoiding exploitation or other products) and book me for another microneedling appointment a week later (which is known to be something you have to wait 4-6 weeks between sessions). The receptionist was a sweetheart who helped me stay patient during the whole experience. If it wasn’t my day off/the rare time I have for this type of skin care treatment and I wasn’t so out of it from the wellness pod thing, I would’ve had the sense and energy to complain/point out my concerns while I was there, or just leave.
Bought a Groupon online for Microneedling and decided to give this place a shot. The lady arrives 30 minutes late and then proceeds to convince me that I needed a hydra facial for my acne scars which was a $100 upsell. She also told me to use hydrogen peroxide on my face which is obviously a huge no no. While it was a nice facial it did not help my scars and I plan to get Microneedling at another place with a less salesy and more professional staff.
I had to wait over 45 minutes past my appointment time for the staff member to even arrive to the building. I let her know I have sensitive skin and she proceeded to be very rough with my skin leaving me with a horrible reaction like I have never had before from a facial. Staff member was also very rude and unkind. Absolutely do not recommend!
As a repeat customer I can solidly say that Phyllis and this spa are unprofessional and have no care for their clients. I have begrudgingly gone here for years because they had a great price on botox, and groupson on microneedling. Phyllis is never on time. Ive waited up to 35 minutes for her to arrive at my appointment and ended up having to reachedule due to her causing me to be late for something else. Every appointment she is late by at least 15 minutes. My last appointment was scheduled incorrectly by her staff. I rescheduled and when I missed my appointment today they told me I cant reschedule. Doesnt seem very fair. For a business that never has clients inside, one would think they would try to do better by the ones they do have. Dont waste your time at this place.
Ive been going to Ange De La Mer for some time now. These last 2 visits were the worst. However, I referred a friend for a service thinking that theyd be nice and respectful to a new client. I couldnt have been more wrong thats. She asked to have measurements taken before her treatment and again after (as did I) they werent taken. I was told that well do them after (what would I have to compare them to?!!) They told my friend it wasnt necessary. (But it is necessary when tell people you can lose inches and thats your pitch)They were rude to her, so inconsiderate. She asked about botox plans and was told if you want to know about that, well talk after your service...When I called to make our reservation, I verified that the service was $100, they confirmed. My girlfriend had to reschedule and after her service they charged her $125! When my girlfriend asked why, they didnt give a clear answer! So now theyre charging what they want from one day to the next. I tried to buy a package but I cant call with the bad customer service.Definitely looking for another place for a detox wrap!
I’ve been seeing Phyllis for a series of colonic hydrotherapy sessions and I can’t recommend it more!!!! I instantly felt safe and comforted by her which is one of the biggest factors when receiving a colonics. She is administering the colonics and talking you through it, managing the pressure, offering holistic nutrition and health information, answering all questions, AND making you laugh. I seriously feel like we are family at this point. Who would’ve thought colonics would be so fun? I’ve seen a tremendous shift as I’m purging parasites and so thankful for all of Phyllis’s recommendations-it’s seriously saving me and my internal organs. I also received the ion foot detox which was fascinating and helpful and I’ll be receiving an ozone therapy session next week. Phyllis is trained in so much that it really is a one stop shop for a physical, mental, and spiritual renewal.
I had a great experience here and recommend this spa if you’re looking for personalized service in a spa that offers everything from facials and massages to sauna wraps. Phyllis and front office staff were extremely friendly and the spa is comfortable and cozy. Phyllis even added a complimentary treatment and was thorough and professional. She informed me on the packages they offer with that treatment and others. I couldn’t be more pleased with my visit and will definitely be back.
Absolutely professional. Results are phenomenal. I went for fillers to improve the look around my chin and lips. Im very happy with the results. The place is spotless and very comfortable. All treatments are done by the owner in a very personable way. She offers many different treatments. Go here!
This was my first time at Ange De Le Mer Salon. Phyillis was very knowledgeable she has been in the business for years and clearly knows her stuff. I had microneedling done. I felt nothing and she explained everything as she was doing the procedure. She was very kind and I will be back for more procedures...Thank you Phyillis for your kindness and making me feel comfortable.
I had a great experience at Ange De La Mar. I had a detox foot bath, Algae Body Wrap and Lymphatic massage. I feel like a million bucks! Phyllis was knowledgeable about lots of different types of alternative healing practices and energy work. I would definitely return for a second time!
First time getting microneedled on my face! I was nervous since I’ve struggled with acne and scarring for YEARS but they answered all my questions and my skin is looking fantastic post-needles! It’s an odd sensation, but they use numbing cream so it doesn’t hurt and I already made an appointment for a second session!
If you watch the videos of the company that created this EESystem technology, they strongly recommend not charging more than $60 per hour to make it more affordable, and this business charges $75 per hour. Then when I went in for my appointment you are not the only one in the room. You could be sharing the room with up to 3 strangers. It’s not private, it’s not sound proof so you hear Road noise and sirens. People going in and out of the very small room, Not an ideal situation.
This place scammed me for my money. They required the money in advance to receive the special promotional pricing for fillers and botox and when I changed my mind less than two business days later (because I was not impressed with the results I saw from the fillers received by others who went to her), she would not refund my money even though neither her nor her office manager ever stated any policy either verbal (while I was on the phone) or written (on their website, email or receipt) and I never signed anything. I never received any services from them and requested a cancellation/refund four days before the scheduled appt, and they would not refund my money of $1500! Beware of this place.
The claim “try before you buy” or “first treatment free” is false. I had the eye lift and she said the first is free to see that I like it. She then charged me $75 cuz I wanted to see the effects after a few days. She said that they show more after a few days. She was claiming that the results were so incredible. She took before pics and nothing after. I saw zero results. She was nice but that wasn’t worth $75 for a service she claimed was a try it first.
Purchased their Groupon and made an appointment for Monday. They confirmed though Groupon. I got there and they were closed. I called them twice and waited for someone to show up, in case they only have three infrared sauna running on Mondays. And thats how I wasted an hour on my only day off this week. Very unprofessional.
SCAM ALERT. She gave my sister and I both Botox and she literally injected nothing into our faces. We have been getting Botox for six years and have never had such an experience that was so blatantly false. We know it takes a few weeks to take effect ----well its been three weeks and we both have so much movement it is as if we were charged for air. Will NEVER recommend this salon to anyone.
I got a great massage and will definitely be going back for another massage. I look forward to trying some of the other services offered. You get to hangout in the infrared sauna before your massage so show up early because it will help make the massage more effective.
I have been seeing Phyllis for over 10 years. Spondylolisthesis creates chronic back pain and Phyllis uses a variety of massage techniques, Bossage, PNT, Pain Neutalization Technique and In Light Therapy to bring relief. I always leave Ange de la Mer feeling like a new person! She is very kind and caring.
Omg..where to begin..I did the colonic hydrotherapy and it was amazing.i wish I lived closer so I could go on a regular schedule. She is very fair with her prices and makes the atmosphere so comfortable
I have been seeing Phyllis for over a year now, and my skin looks so much better! Love the service and a homey vibe.
Amazing spa! I have chronic back pain and with the pulse for life device used along with my massage I am continuing to be able to move thru each day better.
The massage experience was ruined by the loud cars going by and cramped room with no air. Doesn’t seem like any COVID sanitizing is used for this room.
Avoid this place like the plague. I prepaid for services and scheduled my first appointment to find that they were closed. I called and left messages with no response. Never got a refund. Very disappointing. Also in a sketchy neighborhood.
Phyllis is wonderful. Keep coming back. She knows her stuff..will help with what is going on in your bod.
I get all my beauty and Health Products completed by Phyllis... Amazing.
Not a great experience lady was very rude told me one price over the phone and then charged me an entirely different price three times that amount. 😢
Terrible botox experience. Looks like I didnt have any. Never had this happen anywhere else
The service is very professional and they behaved very well and very attentive 100% recommended
Great service, pricing, convenient location!!
Best hair removal in town!
