My first Seattle after living here almost 4 years. Club scene isn’t really my thing but this place was really chill and spacious enough to where I didn’t feel claustrophobic or too hot. Dope house DJ. Didn’t get to see the rooftop as it didn’t open until 0200 and I’m old and was ready for bed. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fun way to end the evening.
Sound system on main mid floor is nice although a lil more warm surround sound would be better.Lower level is great for atmosphere, food, bar, socializing, but really need this soundsystem to get right like a sound boy style. So you can be anywhere and feel.it proppa without trying to blast it of course. Just feel it. So the dj can fade the sound laft or right as if its a boomerang flowing/swirling around you. More lil seats would be sweet. Love the upper deck of course! Again, wrap around sound and some seats and heaters at night. If you had gals coming around with pre-mix drinks with lids n straws and quick pay method. There would be huge revenue. If you (call me Brian if you are interested in how much more it could develop and evolve with me in your corner as well! Its all love and wonderful regardless! Thank you for all that you do!!)Love the staff amazing humans holdin it down!🧡🤎🎯🙏🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿💫✨️
I’m not sure what club/bar scenes are like in the U.S. but in Canada if a bar is open until 4am they will continue serving drinks until closing… That is not the case here, they stop serving at 2am. On top of that they stop serving drinks at 1:50 and only serve shots. If you don’t finish it by 2 they will take it from you. On top of that the cover is $35. We arrived at 1:30 so that’s on us for coming later but we read it was open until 4. Didn’t realize it would be a problem. Definitely gives off the vibes of promoting other recreational uses. Despite that our group had a good time on the roof. If you prefer house/techno music and like going out earlier and don’t mind a $35 cover it’s your place.
Excellent cocktail lounge and dance club in the SODO neighborhood- in the summer they have great rooftop parties on wednesday and thursday from 7PM to 11PM that draws a diverse crowd including young folks and some middle aged clubgoers. The DJs are excellent, great views of the city and they serve food for the summer rooftop parties and there is a lower level if you want a change of scenery from the rooftop. On weekends they have events that often run from 10AM to 10PM with special guest DJs (my guess is it draws a very young crowd). Only downsides are not a great place to get via public transit (50 and 21 buses do stop somewhat nearby- street parking is available for those with a car), like most seattle clubs there is a lopsided gender ratio-last time I was there last week it appeared to be about 85 percent male (its usually about 75 percent male from my estimation the several other times I have visited) and cover is a bit high from 15 to 25$ (but in seattle pretty much everything is expensive). In a city with generally mediocre nightlife this place is definitely worth checking out on a weekday or weekend (or both).
Great place, only place, to forget your woes and dance. Fantastically diverse crowd includes every culture. Making it an allAround great place to dance. After two hours of dancing, I discovered the outdoor deck which was a welcome reprieve from the upstairs dance floor. Then I wandered about and discovered the first floor. What a club! But your ticket in advance, if you can, to avoid the “line.” (I think they punish you for paying at the door, but in the kindest way - they make you hear the music, get into the spirit, while in a line outside😘Go, have fun, celebrate the diversity of our planet and forget your silly life.
Went to one of the Shameless Production events here and there were 3 different areas to be in the different levels of this venue. Love the rooftop! There was a chef grilling food but Im not sure if thats regular or just for these hosted events.
Shady people running a business here. All the people i went with got charged twice after three days. No wonder they don’t have a phone number. Guess we seemed like easy targets cuz we looked like tourists. You people should be arrested. I’ve worked at bars long enough to know this isn’t a simple mistake.
Best place for clubbing with good music and great security. Monkey loft don’t play with just any random crowd to make sure you enjoy your time even if you are by yourself. Love the ambience and the bartenders. The music is always great and my favorite place to go with my friends and husband. Highly recommend if you need to unwind go here and always check their Facebook page for upcoming events and their tickets. They do need ID check and must be 21+ also best to keep cash with you when you visit.
Really not impressed with this place. Everyone was completely drugged out of their mind. Music is boring, same slow beat/pace for 20 minutes. I think you need to be either really drunk or on something to enjoy this place. Definitely not worth 25$ to get in the door. The worst thing about this place is the music. Id recommend literally any other bar but this one. Asking for a refund, they said they dont do refunds because you can hear the music from outside.
Totally hyped but not worth it. The club is opened till 4am. But last order is at 01:40. Afterwards you get only water. And at 2pm they force you to drink your drink immediately or they will take it away.Really strange. Entrance is 30$. And you have to wait about 1h to come in.
Music was on point! Seemed like an adult crowd, which is a plus. Bathroom situation could be better, but ultimately had a great time. I went after hours around 2a-4a in May.
Awesome club that has two levels to it with multiple bars. During late summer, they host shows from 10pm to 10am on a beautiful rooftop. The staff is incredibly personable. The doorman gave us water while we waited outside for it to open since it was a hot day, and the lady at the ticket counter was so friendly and welcoming. Amazing music. Cant recommend enough.
Garbage sound system. Update your speakers if you going to throw raves it’s cringe 😬. No visuals just some shiny garbage they got from dollar tree. It’s a disgrace to edm music
Another interesting place and more of a club than bar. Though for the life of me I cant figure out why its called the Monkey Loft. There was a cover the night I went, so be sure to bring some cash. Theres multiple floors here. Upon entrance you immediately go up stairs. Dance floor and bar 1 are here as well as a sofa a love seat. Pretty cool, huh? If you go up the stairs, you get up to the roof, where edm was pounding and tons of people dancing. I believe there was a spot to order drinks up here, literally out of a hole in the wall. If you go back the way you came, theres a stairwell that takes you to the first floor bar. Its pretty standard here with normal tables and the music is a bit more quiet here. There were some highs and lows to the service, but overall it was OK, though we did get a discount for having 8 people. The drinks themselves werent bad, though not great.Service - 4Prices - 3Comfort - 4Drinks - 3
Everyone working was so kind! They had a non alcoholic beer which I appreciate. Some non alcoholic cocktails would be a great addition!
Immaculate vibes. One of my favorite places to go dancing in Seattle. Rooftop is a vibe during the summer. Went here for a New Years Day party recently which was an absolute blast. Great DJs and friendly crowd. Come as you are!
Doormen, Ticket Taker, Coat Check were really nice and friendly. The two bar tenders I talked to were not the nicest but whatever. Long Island Ice Tea and a Moscow Mule were $26 total. The DJs were good and I loved the three different stages so you could try different things out. The rooftop bar was cool and I wish I couldve spent more time there but I was really cold even next to the fireplace. I enjoyed the other two stages. I felt safe to dance and the vibes were good. I would like to go again.
I love this place! I have gone to a handful of events over the last couple years. They host a variety of events throughout the week/month and the kind of music/vibe varies depending on who is playing. The rooftop is pretty sweet and the larger lower level dance floor that they open for big events is amazing. The cover has been ok so far, ranging from $15 to smaller events to $50 for a larger party I attended. Check before you go! The people at the door have been pretty chill and the bartenders are nice. Drinks are decent and not terribly expensive. Sometimes the lines for the restroom are long, but that is to be expected. I feel like this place attracts cool people who like good music and are looking to vibe, chat, and dance. Nothing bad to say about this place at all; I think it is a pretty typical club experience but stands out compared to other spaces in Seattle.
One of the best place to dance at in Seattle. And the lady at the door has the best energy and smile 😍😍
🌟 Monkey Loft, a luminous constellation in the citys nightlife. This vibrant venue ignites the night with a dazzling blend of music, energy, and camaraderie. From the moment you step through its doors, youre transported into a world where beats resonate with your heartbeat.🎶 The dance floor, a cosmic playground, is where the real magic happens. Its a place where people from all walks of life unite to move, groove, and celebrate the symphony of sound. The atmosphere is electric, and the vibes are infectious.🍹 Speaking of magic, let me tip my hat to bartender Tyson. His concoctions are nothing short of alchemical wonders, infusing each glass with flavors that dance on your taste buds. A true mixologist, hes not just crafting drinks; hes crafting experiences.🎉 Monkey Loft is not just a club; its a universe of joy, where the night takes on a life of its own. Every visit is a chapter in the book of memories. Its where you find community, connection, and pure, unadulterated fun.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could, Id give it more stars. Monkey Loft shines bright, and its the quintessential spot for anyone seeking a nightlife experience thats out of this world. 🚀🌃
Went there for the first time. I loved it. I had a great experience. My wife lost her phone, I called it, someone had already turned it in at the lower bar. Great vibe.Security gave off an odd vibe though. The bartenders were friendly and made great drinks. The sound system at both stages was good. The beats were clear.
I’ve been to a few events hosted at this venue. There are three levels that I’ve seen with the main entrance leading up to the second floor. From there you can either go down to the street level room or up to the rooftop with has some pretty views behind the DJ booth. Parking can be difficult to secure as there are other venues close by that compete for it and it’s not clear which spaces are ok to use sometimes. Lines for the bathroom and drinks take a very long time to the point where some patrons will leave to urinate out in the street.
This place is a vibe to dance the night away but unfortunately when they have a big name dj come perform it seems like they have terrible wait times. Waited in line for 2 hours just to get in because we had no pre tickets in advance but even if you have a ticket you also have to wait a long time. If you have the patience to wait go for it but I guarantee you other clubs could get you in way faster than this place.
Monkey loft is super fun! Multiple dance floors, I loved going to the outdoor patio dance floor before the covid vaccine was available. The main attraction is the music for me. I had the sushi once and it was ok, not anything I would get again.
The best club in Seattle. Maybe the only actual club in Seattle. Everything else is just a bottle service rip off with low quality DJs and unreasonable covers. If you ever partied in Europe and want to experience something similar, come here!
I love this place. Amazing spacious rooftop views with the most juicy house/progressive vibes. Friendly crowd, people aren’t afraid to let loose and get down which I love. Multiple levels with bars and music for different vibes. They care very much about female safety which my friends and I greatly appreciate. The fact that they’re open so late is amazing. Only thing is last time I went cover was $40 which is ridiculous.
First time here a week ago, had a great time! Some good edm, great crowd, everybody dancing, doing their own thing, and nobody creepy. Music and lights were good, pretty good bass (although you can never have too much). Kind of cool to have 2 levels, upstairs dance floor, and downstairs chill out area. Well definitely come back in the summer to check out the roof top. Cant think of anything they can improve, tbh.
Rented their venue for my daughters graduation party. Through the back company called within sodo, this is there company that the owner of monkey loft has to rent separate areas of his venue that he has split into sections. The venue is very expensive and they rent it to you with a bar quota of $3000 dollar minimum and also tax on a $600 fee for bar tender fee to cover their payment for their workers for your event on top of a $500 secure deposit the swindle you out of in the end.the bartenders they have working are all there to set you up to get money out of you. They over price the drinks. I bought a double shot of Don Julio blanco with pineapple back they charged me $20 dollars one of my guests went up and purchased same drink and was charged $40. Then my DJ had a tab open at bar and they let someone run up a $200 tab on his bill then came to me asking for me to solve the problem, while Im trying to entertain my guests. instead Of solving it their selves and way after the fact. To top that off we were told that my guests would get regular served drinks from the gun at the discretion of them ordering at bar . Instead they took it upon themselves to set out tubs filled with bottled waters and canned sodas and tried to bill me per container at the end of the night totaling $1600 dollars and expecting me to pay after I over exceeded my bar quota of $3000 (Smh), they also provided horrible customer service throughout and after the night and at the end of the night someone from their staff eat our food we set aside in the kitchen. When everything was brought to the owners attention instead of investigating and making things right he tried to hustle talk me into making it seem like things were my fault. Never will I ever recommend or do business with these shady evil people again. Please Do Not spend your money and support bad businesseslike this, that take away from our city community just to get rich and not give a service that is of high quality, genuinely and with morals.
Amazing staff all the way from the door to the bartenders and security in the back. Drinks are great and not overpriced like some other nightclubs *cough*Q!*cough*I love going to Monkey, and recommend one of the 12 hour parties during this time of year on Saturdays
Honestly dont waste your time. We got tickets and skipped the line, entered inside and wow. We we a bit disappointed. A massive line of people outside, but inside is dead, there was a longer line to the toilet than on the dance floor, just stay at home :)
Super fun! The upstairs patio is awesome! Bartenders were great and fast, drinks were good, overall a fun dancy night club feel. The area gets a little sketchy late night so just be safe but for the most part it was a great time!
Updating my review after my friend had the unfortunate situation of being roofied. While I cannot fault the business for bad guests with ill intent, I do take issue with the lack of response from security once emailed. I do not feel safe returning here and Im very grateful my friend and I were vigilant and made it home without further incident. I wish there was some response, even if it was just an acknowledgement. Very disappointed in this business.---Original review:This is one of my favorite clubs in Seattle as it has a rooftop space when it gets too warm inside. I have never felt too crowded and constricted. they have a very good system and its well run.
The first time I had the pleasure of visiting monkey loft, it was just that, a loft apartment with a couch, a bedroom and bathroom. if people were monkeys that would have completed its moniker. There was one turntable and a guy playing a bucket and a string/stick bass. A banjo singer wailed on a mic. It was awesome. The years that followed led to it becoming a staple in the house music scene. To the best of their abilities the douchebagery is kept to a minimum and the positive energy is kept high. The 4am close is a pleasant welcome for Seattles ever early to close persona. If you like music, pretty people, beautiful rooftop views, and late nights... Youd be a fool for not attending at least one event here.
One of my favorites! Best for after parties, and deep bass electro performances. The sound is very good and the space is medium in size. After the last call, they often open up the deck which is a very good way to end the night. The downstairs offers an escape from the dance floor, to grab some drinks and delicious sushi. The staff is nice and the place seems to be run well.My only reason for the star loss is how loud the volume gets with each performer. By 1am it becomes way too loud and, the highs become piercing, making it hard to be enjoyable.
They need more air in this place. People were funky sticky.. The arm pits were on fire. Also the alcohol was watered down.. 20. 0 cover charge for what!? Bad drinks and obnoxious people. Open windows and get better Dj’s
Was expecting a bit more excitement from here because friends have told me it was really good, maybe I went on a slow night. Still great staff and good food
The best club in Seattle! Friendly and professional staff that treat you like family. Bartenders are skilled (try one of their specialty drinks, so good!) and fast so even a long line moves quickly. Their roof top deck has beautiful views of the city skyline and vibes for days, and their sound system is on point. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Great club but ya have to pregame. Multiple bars without bar backs & longer than expected lines. Not helped by patroons ordering shaker cocktails at the rooftop bar?! Oof
I got there after hearing loads of people mentioned it. Everything about this place is cool! From front door security guy, lady ticket seller, staff bartenders, and the djs and the people dancing around. I was impressed it went smooth on my first time there! Will tell my friends and be back!!
The only place in Seattle that is consistently good with music. The only discomfort is not enough bathrooms. We end up not buying drinks so we wouldn’t have to spend a half night in line:)
I love monkey loft. Breanna (hopefully I’m spelling her name correctly) at the door is always a gem. Music is always good. It’s my favorite in the summer on the roof during the day. I wish we could winterize the roof. I honestly love the vibes, been coming here for YEARS, like too many, but I’ve never actually eaten the sushi. I hear it’s good though. Bring your glitter, dance your heart out.
More of an “underground” scene. Has a rooftop too and their parties are great.Sometimes the music here can get a little repetitive- I wish there was more techno (not just tech house), and more vocal house. It’s nice to mix it up. Nevertheless, one of my favorite clubs in Seattle!
We moved here from San Francisco a few years ago and this is the first club that feels familiar! Its a blast, great music, amazing drinks, friendly bartenders, a cool interior with multiple rooms to check out and great vibe. We have gone several occasions and always finish the night so happy! They just opened a whole 3rd basement level that has an awesome low key vibe to it, adding to their dance level and top open deck. Go here for a guaranteed great night! They keep the crowd well maintained, and now they have the basement they have expanded bathroom -- which was a need for them.
The house of the house.Friendly staff, safe place, they watch your belongings even if coat check is full. Reasonable beverage prices.DJs are good, I shall say excellent. Couple hiccups but they are humans, no judgement there. Event went very well overall.
Always a guud vibe - like the sign says near the entry? Essentially be whoever you are
This is an AMAZING place and atmosphere, great music that rotates genres and specials, and they are ALL about CONSENT so if people get too aggressive and pushy and touch without consent, you tell security and they chat/address/resolve. Great vibes, safe environment, fun family feel and the patio/roof top has a fireplace overlooking downtown Seattle, you can literally make eye contact with the lady on top of the Starbucks building. This place is love.
Never had a bad time here. The rooftop patio is perfect in the summer, the crowd are very easy going - everyone lets everyone do their own thing and enjoy themselves in good humour with a really friendly and welcoming vibe. Music can be a little repetitive but youll be having such a good time that isnt noticeable until you wake up the next afternoon.Hands down the best club in Seattle. Its not just a club, its an experience.
Always a great place to go to dance, but really leaving this review for the person working the front named Brianna, I believe. Please keep Brianna around as long as possible!! My phone was dying, I had no service or wifi (heads-up for AT&T folks) and my friend had left so I was alone and had no way of getting an Uber. Got super anxious because of the circumstances (and that the area monkey loft is in, not being the most inviting), and she called me an Uber home. Was so sweet, and she made me feel so comfortable.
One of my favorite spots in Seattle for an intimate music and dance experience. The staff is exceptional, and always ready to help if any attendee is causing trouble. The deck space has one of the best Seattle skyline views, and the late hours makes for a great time as someone with a regular night shift.
Female white security guard is super rude, racist and absolutely disgusting .She didn’t allow our group of 5 in even though she confirmed our names clearly on the guest list!Second She said we couldn’t get in yet puts us aside on the guest line then moves away saying nobody getting in atm then allows bunch of other ppl get in.After She said the person we knew is a photographer when obv were on the guest list cus we got invited by our dj friend manny . Smh horrible !! We left a pregame house party early just for this sad sick mess
A little dysfunctional with the layout, but it was a fun night regardless. You just need to weave through a lot of people to get anywhere. Quicker to go downstairs to that bar, especially when the crowd was expanding back to the upstairs bar making it hard to access.
Went there on 4-30 was told cover for 1 was $ 45 . I gave my card no receipt or signature required entered into the club. Next day noticed she charged me $80.If you go to this place be very careful get a receipt for everything they are looking for people to rip, since most people dont pay attention in clubs.
The dj was great, the music was great, but the head of security was very rude. My husband thinking a person was cutting in line and sarcastically joked with him, and the security lead took the joke as an attack against his ego. We were kicked out of the venue. Our tickets didnt get refunded. There head security tonight was rude and didnt listen to an explanation of the situation or an apology. We paid good money to listen to the artists there. The person in charge was very rude.
Are really good space for listening to techno music. Now theyve opened a downstairs area as well as the rooftop which is awesome. The rooftop opens at 2:00 AM and has a fire pit so you can go have a smoke by a warm fire. The view over Seattle is surreal.
Love this place! People are not judgemental and give you a smile. Music was great and kept the crowd lively till closing. Starts clearing up by 2 when people are cut off so theres more room to move in this cozy place. Security is strict on maintaining a respectful atmosphere and will go out of their way to help you out if need be. Bar has great prices for the amount of alcohol you get. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a place to chill and not have a big ego! Definitely a place to party and get out of your comfort zone!
This night club is awesome especially when the rooftop stage is open. The views are nice but the ambiance for dancing make it truly special, even at the main dance stage on the second floor with the old floor-to-ceiling windows. Definitely give this one a try
Best after-hours/dance club in Seattle. Has that old school underground vibe to it. Has an amazing deck that opens at 2am and now a new lounge downstairs with more bathrooms, a bar, seating and a little more quiet than the upstairs dance floor, an ideal space to chill and talk with friends. They also have an amazing 12 hour party on Saturday nights when the weather is warm, with a DJ outside on the deck and inside from 10pm until 10am. They serve alcohol until 2am and then resume serving again at 6am. Best and friendliest staff in town as well.
Love this nightclub, always amazing times with really great staff. Must check out the city view on the rooftop when its open 🥰🏙️ the tiki monkey drink is so yummy!
If I could rate this place a 0 I would. Myself and 5 friends travelled from Canada, recommended this bar multiple times and after half an hour of waiting were denied entry because of something said in line? Worst experience I’ve ever encountered of 100s of bars visited.
$25 is a little much for a cover charge when only 1 of your 3 DJs could keep a crowd... Still, a very fun night club with a chance at amazing street food out front afterwards!!! 10/10 will return!
I wish If there was a star below 1 I would have given this place without hesitation. The place has an ok atmosphere and vibe was good until you get something stolen from you. I had my new jacket stolen from our table right in front of me. I realized that it was gone with in probably 20 minutes because i saw it then, the staff was very unhelpful in any way to assist. It was a lot of price to pay for a mediocre place and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone. If you decide to go though, please make sure your belongings are with you AT ALL TIMES!
Best vibes for a club Ive found in Seattle. Also probably the cleanest bathrooms Ive ever seen for a club. The acoustics certainly leave something to be desired and the dancefloors are not the best (there are some cracks/uneven areas). On the plus side though the patio is awesome even in February, the ventilation is quite adequate, and the size is nice and intimate. Will definitely come back!
30 dollars each to wait in a fake line for an empty club with trash DJs.:They make it looked packed by making you wait in their artificial line for a good 30 minutes. The DJs were the most boring Ive heard I can ever remember. They are serious trash. In Southern California, they wouldnt even make it at a garage party, imo. Very monotonous, no flavor at all.
Great club with good variety of music; rooftop is great (when it’s open). Suggest buying tickets on-line to avoid waiting in line.
Lets see... Was this for Sunday Soak with the De Le Creme fam or one of the last Deckd Out parties with the Shameless crew!? Either way that rooftop deck was devine to dance on. It was crazy busy standing in line for a cocktail but Tessa the bartender is tip top with her craft cocktails and made us a pair of phenomenal margaritas!! Always hit this spot up if there is a shindig happening.
This club has so much to offer. Great music, staff, drinks and space. Couches to hang out on are awesome. The patio area in the back is big, calm and inviting. Nothing bad to say about this place.
Bathroom situation sucks and buy presale tickets before or the line to get in is ridiculous. We waited in line for almost 1.5 hours... they held us at the door and waited until midnight so they could charge us $10 more on the cover at the door. That really bugged me, but once inside it was easy to get drinks and the place is a decent size with several levels, and an awesome rooftop deck with skyline views. Will come back because it was fun once inside, but will definitely buy tickets beforehand.
Ive been coming here since it first opened. It quickly became a second home for me when I was wondering if I fit in anywhere. The only thing better than coming here is coming here when the deck is open. After 2am or at 7pm to 11pm Thursday and Wednesday in the summer this is the best place in the world. This might seem like hyperbole and I am most definitely biased. However you can see for yourself every Friday and Saturday and meet me and hundreds of others that Ive come to love who work and play here. The music is unequivocally amazing and the atmosphere matches. Hope to see your beautiful faces
Never going back again. 2 out of the 4 of us in my friend group ended up getting covid after being there. We are all vaxxed mind you. The bouncers enforced the mask policies to people waiting for drinks yet staff came upstairs unmasked to make smokers move around. Also the bouncers were very rude and we could not use the restrooms in peace because of them. The bartenders seemed nice and the music was good. But otherwise a very upsetting and unacceptable experience
I miss the old monkey loft vibe. Scene around there has changed a lot over the years. Theres a lot more standing with a drink on the dance floor not engaging with the music than there used to be. The addition of the led strips on the metal pylons and the generally obnoxious demeanor of much of the clientele make me feel that if you like disco and liked the old foundation vibe, youll love the new monkey loft vibe. Still a great place to dress up and dance, even if it is a little packed these days
Monkey loft is one of the best places to dance hands down... open late usually till 4 am and has great djs. Not to mention the multiple floors that all can different shows going on at the same time.
Always a great show and great people just wish I didnt have to travel to Seattle every time I wanted to come
Cool venue space especially when the deck is open. Have some great memories of seeing DJs play out there during the summer...and it sounds great too! When the deck isnt open the inside can get a bit crowded. The sound inside is ok but not great. The speakers are tuned so the treble is a bit too bright, mids sound ok, and the bass kinda sucks due to poor acoustics and speaker placement that maximizes dancefloor space instead of low end quality. With how important the bass is in all the electronic music that gets played here it would be nice to see an improvement in this area some day :).Staff is generally great though be warned that cover goes up later in the night and often this isnt communicated well on Facebook event pages.Bar lines can be really long during peak times. Didnt appreciate that after waiting for 15 minutes during last call, when I asked for a beer, I was refused service and told it was shots only.Still a good venue to check out that can be a lot of fun. Would recommend to underground dance music fans.
Used to go to this place before it was an official business for afterparties, and am very impressed with how its transformed into a legit local spot. There is separation between the upstairs and downstairs, and a different vibe felt on both levels most of the nights you would be an attendee. Lots of local flavor and DJs dropping some good House music many a time. Usually has a cover from my understanding, but nothing outrageous. Come through, its tight.
I always love coming here when Im in Seattle. If you like house music and good vibes its a must. They stay open late on a lot of nights, but dont utilize their upstairs rooftop until after 2 am.
Good employees. The security here is awesome. They actually give a shitt about the people that come here. BRE At the door is my favorite. Always a great vibe, and if you are a house head, heres your new destination.
Great Lil intimate spot. Crowd usually really gets going around 11:30-12:30. Its the ONLY Seattle After hours for 21+ till 4am every Friday & Saturday! Great crowd, great staff. Respect the community, respect the venue.
Drug deals done by security so sad .
Walking into the place it seemed dead. Like it looked like no one wanted to come to this place, it was so empty. But the third floor was really cool. Dance floor full of people, good music, great drinks. Would go again!
Absolutely love this place. Music is loud enough, maybe not the best but sufficient. The bass rocks you wherever you are. After 2am the deck patio opens and it turns into 2 parties!
Monkey Loft always has the coolest parties. Be sure to check out any great summer deck party they throw. Amazing views, drinks and good times!
Always a great time here. Great cocktails and amazing security. I feel safe here, and cant say that about a lot of places in Seattle.
This is the place for all night party dancing! They often have amazing DJs and really awesome events which can last until the break of dawn and then some. When they have there all night shows they will occasionally bring out some breakfast food buffets a few hours after last call and before they start serving again at 6am!!
This club, bar, lounge is the epitome of AWESOME. All people are genuine, drinks are GREAT, dancing and music are SUBLIME!!! The deck is gorgeous and the view is even better. Thank you for existing Monkey Loft!
Really surprised they charged $25 for after hour! It seemed like they are just taking advantage of the lack of after hour places in Seattle! It wasnt that impressive either. Nice rooftop and ok music. But certainly not worth the money.
Best ramen ever but the entrance overpriced and the vibe was like any other club in Seattle music could have been better
Amazing vibes! Best in the city! If youre looking for quality underground non-mainstream dance music, this is your spot. Staff is friendly and the DJ talent is spot on. Highly recommend!
If the music is good, which is somewhat rare, the main dance floor is ok. The drinks are weak and revolting, like the kind you get for free in a casino, except you pay for these. On to the second floor... This is where Monkey Loft goes from bad to downright terrible. If you enjoy a bunch of bros standing around in the most brightly lit, cluelessly decorated and pretenious place in Seattle, then this place is for you.
Best place for house music in Seattle! Must visit, open until 4am on weekends. 12 hour parties 10pm - 10am on some weekends. Always a great crowd and staff is super awesome.
Be careful at this place some rift raft spiked my girlfriends drink on her birthday. I’m just thankful she’s ok.
Like what others said, only good thing about this club is that its open until 4am. They stop serving drinks at 1:40am, the music is bland and plays the same tune for an hour+. Unless youre on LSD or Cole, this club is sad past 2am.
Don’t miss Wednesday if you like house music. The most awesome people show up. Only downside is the wait line to use the bathroom. I wish they had urinals for guys 😁
Great rooftop with a covered area for DJ+dancing in case of rain on the rooftop (which happens quite often, cause Seattle). Bartenders are really nice! Never tried an inside party yet.
Very fun dancing, good music, everyone was dressed very cool and fun like. Only turn off is the cover is wayyy too high @25. Plus there isnt an atm so you have to run half a block to go take the money out. Make the cover $10-20, then make the rest of the money selling 1-2 drinks........
Amazing place if youre like me a eletronic music person. It has a lack of restroom, in my opinion, be prepared to long lines. But the music and the DJ diversity will worth it.
Terrific crowd, great place to dance, nice outdoor deck. No attitude, come as you are and youll go far with lots of friendly faces to keep you company - just smile and keep on groovin!
Super fun club! Lots of levels. Its Kore fun if you go late in the night and the crowd is warmed up and music is set to really pop
LOVE this place! Security ensures good vibes all around. One of my favorite dance spots in Seattle (the roof vibes cant be beat)
Circuit music, cover can be as pricy as $30, 3 levels, several bathrooms, rooftop venue as well, multiple DJs, overall a fun place to go.
Lots of space, rooftop bar, street level bar, and mid level club area with DJs and dancing. Probably great for the college vibe but not my hangout. Decent place for a fun night on the town.
Nice place. Nice staff. It seems clean. Not a big drink menu. Music is so loud but great to dance to. Mainly EDM music but fun!
I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review...it seems to have so much going for it. I showed up for the afterhours with two friends. Unfortunately, the staff at the door took the $15 dollar cover from me and from one friend, $30 total...but then wouldnt let my other friend in, and started harassing him in a really aggressive and unprofessional way. The bouncer didnt make it clear why my friend wasnt allowed in, and when we objected, and told him we were a group and were only interested in going in if all three of us were admitted together, the bouncer got very abusive with all three of us, and then told us ALL to leave. He refused to refund the $30 me and my one friend had already paid. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
Rooftop part is awesome but they should have more variety of music in the after hours especially at $20 a person. I was really disappointed to come here and find out that it was all house music and in both rooms.
Ultra EDM-Trap Music club with 3 stories. Awesome atmosphere, a little expensive drinks, cover is usually 15 after 10:30. In summer a great spot to party all day on the rooftop with views of seattle
Not necessarily my vibe. Just like house music with same repetitive beats. They stop serving drinks at like 2 or something and then open the rooftop. Not sure what that is all about.
On the night of February 26 I parked my car on the main road about 100 ft from the front door. At 2am I walked to my car to find both my windows bashed in along with several cars ahead of me and behind me. Nothing of value was in my car. Hell, they failed to even grab a Bluetooth speaker that I forgot was in the back. It clearly looked like disgruntled homeless vandalism to me. The fact that I spend good money and tip well and pay a premium for a show, youd think the security spent a bit more time canvassing the area. Ill never be returning there. Youve lost a patron, Monkey Loft. Take care of your patrons.
Small, intimate club! Gotta come early if you dont get pre-sale. Great House Music vibes! Great place to go for serious House-Headz! Didnt feel like a meat market the night I was there. Cant wait to go again!
Overpriced Seattle bullshite. If its overflowing with drunk people youll probably get some free pizza from a bubbly boozer. Looks nice though and the pie was good.
Great atmosphere! I love the roof deck. The DJ was spinning good old school stuff when I was there. Really good crowd of patrons, in my opinion.
Love it! Music is always excellent!! And they have really done a great job keeping the line outside under control and all the door staff are very nice and make u feel very welcome and happy to be there.
Amazing place for House Heads like me and B
The monkey loft is a great place for locals. They mostly have local support and house music. The only complaint I have is the limitation of two bathrooms... Its pretty ridiculous only having two bathrooms for as many people that show up.
Seattles not-so secret getaway from the mainstream flash of lights and dubstep. Mainly House music as well as Drum an Bass ring thru the Rooms in this 2 story building with access to a rooftop. Not all rooms opened at once so you have to be aware of the event.
This is by far the best venue for live music in Seattle. Cozy and intimate its just you and the artist and the music you crave and the roof top deck will blow your mind.
Pretty cool. One of the few late night spots in Seattle. Fun people and vibes...never know who youre going to see
Oh hell yeah! Visit this place or your Seattle-vibe-passport hasnt been stamped! 🎯Great artists, multiple rooms, multiple bars, EPIC rooftop experience.... what else do you need me to say? Get in here!
Only has 2 bathrooms! So if you like to party in line come here. Also, they sale you drinks and after 10min will take them from you.
Hands down the best club/bar in Seattle. Always great vibes and people. Music is on point!
Awesome setup. Rooftop patio is legit AF!!! Great sound throughout all levels. Great vibe and diversity.
You can get back in with your stamp without waiting in line if you dont go to the back of the line within the next 3 minutes Im calling security. Spoken by the same person within 5 minutes of me trying to find my friends outside. Completely disappointed by the service on multiple counts. Seems like a pretty fun club other than the inconsistent service at the door
Great club lost of space to party! Amazing drinks and great people! My only with is that they put a dj on that roof!!! Roof partyyyy!
Waited in line for over an hour here, and made sure to ask the bouncer how much cash to get because we saw the signs that said cash only. He told us 30, so thats how much we got before we got in line. When we got to the front of the line after waiting for over an hour in the rain they told us that the cover had increased to 40 and theres nothing he could do.Never go to this place if you dont have tickets beforehand. The bouncer was totally unsympathetic to us, they really dont care about their customers or their business.
Decent place to get some house music in Seattle. Saturday is usually the night to go.
The staff here are genuinely so nice and chill they just want to help everyone have a good time! Walking in you notice how positive and inviting everyone is I love it! Best club environment!!
Great place to dance and chill. Long lines for everything including the restroom make it less than 5 stars though...So get ready to pee about 30 minutes early
Cool azz venue with two different dance floor spaces for simultaneous djs to play. The rooftop is great.. one of the rare places that you can have a drink, a smoke and a dance at the same time ;)
Was a lit rooftop dance floor on a Wednesday night, lots of ppl n great vibes. They check proof of vaccination so youre free to let loose
Great place for love music, fun folk and great reasonably priced beverages. Get in early to avoid the fees but you will be dancing all night long.
This was a horrible experience the promotion guy shawn majors yea the coke head wouldnt let me in and I have to dispute it with the bank a waste of 17$ dollars on wasting my time Ill never return venue I didnt like it much before covid I really dont like it after him shortkut & my ex husband supreme la rock can get the middle finger I have the evidence that what male groupieShawn claimed was not true but oh well my bank gave me my money since Shawn wouldnt let me in
One of the best clubs in Seattle. Has a very European feel to it.
Cool place overall. Decent house music. Patrons dont really know how to dance... haha!
Fun events, fun vibe. I dont go out often but I love coming here for things like the disco night. The rooftop with the fireplace wall is super nice
Cool bar but they need better line control. No one told us tickets holders can just walk in, we waited in line for an hour and a half.
This place bumps;)Great vibes and sound, solid DJs come through and you’ll always meet some cool people!
Crafty CocKTailS🙊🙉🙈and Much Monkey aroundddd🐒😈👹..After detroning the afterhours Crown from true underground venues few years bakKk, they just took it and turned into McDonalds of that Club genre, and run away with it. But kill the afterhours Mode of Seattle once had. 👹🧐(years B. pandemic). But never the less the Venue is great for Shows of some fame DJ$ and private events with exceptional space and kitchen in case if need ittt. 👽🎵😻✨🎶🌜I
Be Aware .....of that cheap monk loftIts Not a place where you can have fun or relax!!!they called the police on me with no reason!!!Rude Racist security!Would not recommend to no body !Waste of time and health!Theres better places around the town to have a partyIve had a Bad experience with monks guysblame me on buying drugsWorst night In my life
Great after-hours dance club. I had so much fun here on so many nights.
Fantastic times. Great people. Delicious sushi. Amazing music. AND really nice and helpful staff. A+ all around
Best underground/house dance club in Seattle, hands down, no question.
Super cool place. Multiple levels. Our friend was a DJ here and the crowd was fun, music was awesome.
Go often. What you look for in a venue for shows. Lots of sub-genre edm here. The rig is large and headliners sets throb hard. Drum and bass, dubstep .. Love the place
Probably the best edm dance place in Seattle and the only late night dance spot. Great views of the city. Can get crowded at times. Spotty crowd.
Best place I have ever been to in my life. Staff was accommodating. People were super amazing. Never forget my experience here. Cant wait till next year when I come visit again.
Love the monkey. Staff are honest and personable. Music is thumping and none stop. Crowd is friendly and you can enjoy dancing like a fool.
Amazing crowd, great staff, amazing music, and a nice dark vibe. Whats not to like, honestly? Found my go-to place every weekend in Seattle.
Multiple dance floors and bars. Nice vibe with generally very nice people for a bar/crowd atmosphere. Only been there a couple times but enjoyed myself each time.
Oh this place is so amazing, the music is usually wonderful and there are so many amazing people that go regularly....I could go on about it, but if you are thinking of going, just do it and you can have such a great time!!!
Three floors including an outdoor deck, great late night sushi, coat check and fabulous music. Pretty fabulous!
Ultra late post: will never forget how on NYE 2016, the bouncer at this venue caught my friend sneaking past the line and decided to throw him down the stairs. EMT had to come and take him to the ER. Yes trespassing is illegal but the retaliatory force was dangerous and unnecessary. The bouncer could’ve seriously hurt or killed my friend.
They sell out early. Theres not a huge crowd there either. Its pretty frustrating seeing as they were once one of the best night clubs in Seattle.
Best night ever! Inclusive, safe atmosphere, wonderful security and staff. Will come again soon
Really nice staff. Tons of variety of music events. Attracts people who go because they enjoy the music. Great fun!
Popped in for after-hours, danced a couple hours, left. Music was good, people were about average, some less than pleasant, most nice. Will do again!
Disrespectful security. Was in there for 20 minutes went outside for a smoke break wasnt allowed back in. Bartenders also gave my debit card to some random person when trying to close my tab. Just not a good place and waste of hard earned money.
Lame random djs on saturday. we want to hear some really good electro, dubstep, trance, house and it is also too hard to get on guest list the dj wasnt cool enough to put me on when i asked her
Great energy & good vibes. Great music & people. Love the back patio area with a little fire while u chill. An all around great experience everytime!
Great dance floor. Friendly bartender. Well ventilated. Good choice for unwinding. Heard this will be the new Reggae/Dancehall spot in Seattle.
Great venue, amazing music and the crowd tends to be decent. They have a nice rooftop they open up year round!
Such a great venue. I really like having 3 levels, allowing people to move to quieter places or to get fresh air.
My home away from home. The staff and security here are top-notch and handle any problems that may arise when people get a little out of hand. The DJs and Dancers at The Monkey Loft are what keeps me coming back for more!!
Great crowd, many friends, awesome roof deck when its open. I wish there was a water tap. Good Dj s.
Favorite dance club in town -- always a cool staff and outgoing people dancing. Big plus is the rooftop party deck that is sometimes open.
Great after hours spot, decent music even better people!
Closes at 3am from now on instead of 4am. I like the positive vibe and the very chill crowd a lot! Not a huge fan of their music.
Local techno partyGood vibe
This joint always has the best vibe to it. I sure wish there were a couple more bathrooms, though, for the busy nights. Sometimes that line is a beast.
While this place may be small, the Monkey Loft packs a punch. The crowd is always friendly and the DJs pump out those sweet sweet deep house beats.
Great place to go after the bars close and you still want to dance. Djs though need to switch it up a bit. They all sound the same and get a lil trancy.
I remember this used to be some sort of after hours spot, that was more like a warehouse than a lounge,, but it was alright. the outside patio was really nice, too bad its not always open tho
Music was wack. Trance is great edm if you know how to do it. But they did not. The environment was awsome.
KEXP DJs killed it, the space is great, but the bar is very slow. A great night when not waiting in line.
This is always a cool place to go to. Music is always good. Drinks are a bit pricey though.
