The Cass Tech Class of ‘79 held its 45th Reunion Ice Breaker here last night! The patio is the place to be! The staff was very courteous and the space welcomed all the partying and socializing we could handle. The vibe was wonderful! Beautiful back drop of the Downtown skyline and our great High School legacy. The food was catered so I can’t comment on their food. Had a great time and felt so secure! Just marvelous!

Always a pleasant evening of good music at the TV Lounge. Attracts a good crowd. Just watch where you park.

Im coming back. Glad my cousin brought us here for our family reunion! ❤️ It was a vibe. Im not gon talk this review to death. Lol If u like grown folks music & vibes + lovely scenery, go to TV Lounge. I didnt get to try the food (I waited too late, my fault) but it smelled amazing. 🥹🙃

We love this place! Very cool vibe, great DJs, amazing sound system. And the tacos on Taco Tuesday are delish…

We were celebrating multiple birthdays and was looking for somewhere to dance after seeing a band at Motor Citys Radio Bar. We found the TV Lounge and a mediocre night turned into one FUN night of dancing!!! Great place and we will definitely be back!!!

It’s outside, it’s dancing, it’s great music, there’s are TVs and lounging - what more would you want? So come on out there if you want one or more of those things!!First time I visited the crowd was a great blend of middle aged and older young adults - everyone here was having a great time.

Nice little club right behind motor city casino open up at 9 PM. They play a variety of music house. Today was a latin special evening The beverages were reasonably priced. The crowd was very upbeat.

I was really looking forward to checking this club out with my friends but it did not live up to our expectations. Cover was $15 and the place was cute inside with a lot of disco balls and comfy couches. But the music was awful. For a whole 20 minutes all the DJ was playing was a beat. There was no perceptible song being played just a literal beat. Maybe it was too early in the night but I would expect music to be playing if the place is open. Not a good spot for dancing.

Very mid informed over price drinks not to mention prices change by the hr.so if your price look for an experiences with great music rude people hey this is only for the strong go ahead

This is easily the best club Ive been to so far. They had fantastic music and I swear Ive never seen or felt so much energy in one room. We will definitely be going back here.

First time over Memorial Day weekend. Ended the night here twice, had a really great time on Saturday night. But man, I’m tempted to almost give 2 stars. The older black guy who ran the door on Tuesday morning (5am) had the EGO the size of Jupiter. So rude and arrogant 0 reason. Should be spreading kindness. I watched him be hyper rude to an older man, just giving him grief for pettiness, all while that man maintained calm and positivity.Then a group of 5 individuals cut directly in front of my small group. Tried to mention it and he told me “ don’t tell me how to do my job, you must not want to come in” … idk what was in his cup, maybe a cup of attitude juice. I know everyone has been up and awake and working, but geez did not have to be so hostile. Several people in the line were turned off by his behavior, but obviously said nothing else because we just wanted to continue with our party.

The only place where you can get free tickets, parking, and seating.

Edit: I found a review on Yelp where this same exact situation happened to another person. They said Id you forget who your bartender is they will keep your card. My bartender forgot he was my bartender! What a joke. The Yelp review also stated that security attacked these people physically that were just trying to get their card back . Sad. The music is good but I wont tolerate this type of low class disrespect from anyone.I gave the bartender my card to open a tab. Later, I tried to close the tab and he told me he lost my card. I told him multiple times it was in the other register and he didnt listen. He told me the other bar tender had it. She did not. He lied and said he already closed me out. I told him, no he did not, that i never signed anything! After making me go through this song and dance, wondering where my card was for at least 30 minutes HE FINALLY LOOKED IN THE DRAWER I TOLD HIM 3 TIMES TO LOOK INTO and found my card. they refused to offer me any discount for the bs i had to deal with. I will never come back here.. I would appreciate someone in management reaching out about this matter

Crowded but nice

I visited during movement on May 29th, had a good time. More than a month later (July 7th) I have random charges showing up on my credit cards that I used.Check your statements!

Its a very cool venue with great music but I give it a 4/5 because the drinks are way too expensive and the bartenders are way too slow at getting them out to you! I understand they get busy but its pretty ridiculous honestly.

I went to this bar the Thursday before New Years of 2022 and gotta say, music was good and the DJs - I think were all women! Shout out to this place for keepin my sisters in business and for the music on point. I had a black bartender who was super nice and on point, and then we had a bartender, white girl who had an attitude, and was slammin those drinks down to you on the other side of the entrance. It was cold, but I bet when the weather gets better all areas of the bar will be open. They had no cover charge, music was on point, they also had finger food at the front door, maybe because of holiday, but with no cover, it was lit! The only draw back for me was the drive because I live in A2. I found most of the staff, including Security to be friendly. I have only been here once and this was it!

My favorite bar! Love the tall sci-fiish seating at the bar. Awesome outside patio where they have live music. So much fun. Brings in all sorts of age groups and different styles and types of people. A must go for everyone who is chill and likes to have a good time

When in Detroit, you have to pay a visit to TV Lounge. The best of House and Techno. The artists they host are phenomenal. The crowd is always more mature than the mainstream venues in the area. There aint no twerking here. The sound is tuned just right; my ears have never left the place ringing. Drinks are a decent price, the staff has always been friendly.I would give them a one-star review just to keep this place a secret, but TV Lounge deserves better than that.

We just stumbled across this place. We were looking at what to do for on a Friday night. We noticed this had had reviews! We checked it out and were glad we did! Definitely a new different type of place on how to listen to music in a club type of setting. Turn your ID in at the door to receive the head phones, they give u a number on a card that u give back to them when you leave to grab your ID back, then grab drinks party the nigh a way! The theme for the night was quiet nigh to think. You listen to 3 different djs on the headphones. Pretty cool way of doing things Id say! Definitely a good night! Was fun! I think they have techno nights on Thursday nights too!

Cool place. Went for a techno music night. Love the different spaces- indoor outdoor, Sit stand, Cool art mural and outdoor lighting. Interesting mix of characters and clothing. Excellent people watching. Would go again😊

Great atmosphere, its like two clubs in one. On one side the DJs playing House music or throwback jams, then on the other side of the club the DJs spinning something completely different. In the summertime you can go out on the patio and theres a completely different DJ playing different music. I love it theres something for everyone.

Out of the many dance clubs I have been to around Michigan, this one is truly unique. The organic flavor of this techno club is seldom seen. This is where you go to let yourself go and enjoy the rhythmic pleasures of some of the Ds most talented DJs

TV Lounge is a great venue. If you like House and Techno, this is the place for you. I dont know what the reviewer who commented on parking was talking about, because there is ALWAYS parking near by. You can park for free on both sides of Grand River and on the surrounding streets if need be.The music is always great, they have regular events and shows with local and international DJs and cover is only like $10. If youre looking for some dance music other than your standard Top 40 teeny bopper bullshit, this is the joint for you.Drinks are a bit pricy here, but I dont go there to drink, so I could care less. The patio on the side of the building is fun, it has a certain at home in my own back yard feel. The bathrooms (at least the mens bathroom any way) are clean and tidy, and there is usually a friendly attendant in there keeping it in order.Last, but not least... The staff! The staff is alway super friendly and they always have smiles on their faces (not the security though, that would be kinda weird). The servers and bar tenders are super nice, and they all dig the music usually so they like to have fun and break it down with you every now and then.Check this spot out. Its worth it.

I guess TV bat is the best place for techo parties in Detroit. Especially when party is done by Paxahau promo group. Prices for beer are higher than the average, but place by itself is just great! Coffy sofas in front of DJ scene are awesome! There are mainly two rooms in TV bar - red one and blue one.

Awesome spot in downtown Detroit, the man at the entrance was a real gentleman on 29th June 19 during anniversary party. I recommend this place to any true michiganite!

I was there for a private party, it was real chill and had a good time. They had a DJ and the music was good and the bartenders pour nice strong drinks.

I didnt like paying 20 bucks to get in besides that a great look! ! Drinks are an average price,nice grown crowd this particular night!! I will go back! !

Three different stages to listen to different DJs (2 outside, 1 inside) but the inside one was my favorite with the sound system giving off so much bass.

Came from out of town ready to party (read: spend money) and were told $50 pp cover. Unreal. Poor strategy to get newcomers in.

Wanted a fun place to dance! And didnt disappoint but the $20 cover was a deterrent to go back again.

Cool spot with an awesome patio. Depending on the event or night planned you may have a blast or a casual sit down.

They do not answer the phone. Trying to throw an event there. Managers do not follow up like they say they will. I was trying to throw an event here and they make it inconvenient. Look for another random spot.
