This place is awesome on a weekend night AFTER 2:30am. This is the go to place when everything else is closed. The place is always packed. They get you your drinks quickly, the space is so large that you never feel crowded. The music is sometimes horrible, but if you’re with the right people, you will hardly notice.
I dont like that this is supposed to be a night club but doesnt serve food. I dont eat meat anymore so now it doesnt even matter. But being able to order fresh fries thats not fried with meat would be nice. They are getting skeet with the drinks. Smaller cups. I only go to support music artist when they performing one being our friend. Besides that i prob wouldnt go.
First time back since covid and the collective efforts to keep patrons safe were nothing short than exceptional. I dont recall seeing anyone getting temperature checked, but bags, IDs and masked were constantly monitored. Drinks were super watered down, unless you ordered a double or a chaser. I really enjoyed the whole show last night and look forward to spending more time here, safely of course
We had some hurdles to overcome when it came to getting my 11yr old daughter to her first concert. I reached out to the venue and was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Kelley of Events and Marketing more than bent over backward to make sure she was able to comfortably attend the show. We all had a great experience, and she had the absolute time of her life watching Demon Hunter and her new favorite band Opponent, who were gracious enough to spend time with her after the show, and even gave her autographed merch to go along with the Opponent pick and Demon Hunter set list shed already been given.I dont believe any of this wouldve been possible without Mr. Kelleys outstanding customer service. Thank you again, sir!
Been going to concerts here for over 20 years. Saw Staind, Trapt, POD, FFDP just to name a few. Love how its a smaller venue. You can get up close & rock out & have an amazing experience!
Ive come here for multiple concerts/tours. I would say the most notable time was for Architects (UK) in 2019. Its a huge venue, spanning mostly side-to-side. It can get pretty packed pretty quick, but theres always a spot to take a break from the flailing arms. If it wasnt obvious by that comment, I only go to Metal concerts.
We went to a Machine Head meet and greet and concert at Pops. It was a great small venue, good sound, awesome time! I love the smaller up close and personal shows like what Pops gives us. Machine Head rocked the night and gave us another excellent metal show. We drove from Tulsa (6 hours) to Pops for the show, well worth the road trip! WE LOVE YOU Machine Head! Thanks POPS for a great time!
Great place stays open untill damn near day light so the party never stops. Seen Beartooth there and it was a blast. 2 weeks later I heard Beartooth on the radio on a talk show well known and starts at 7:00 when youre listening to rock stations cant think of the guys name but they asked him what your favorite concert that youve been to and hes straight up said it was at this little night club in Sanjay Illinois not much room in there but it was popping Had so much fun there along with crowd surfing. he explained the whole thing I was there. Real talk that is super freaking cool when I heard that!
Only been in here a couple times and both times were weird for the venue. Once around midnight/1 AM and 6-7 AM. Both times the place was crazy dead. I assume this place is busy from like 3 AM-5 AM when almost everything else is closed. Or, obviously, on a show night.The crowd has never scared me, but I have no idea who the people are in this place at the times I have been there. Are they bar/restaurant workers? Insomniacs? Nihilist? Hedonist? I dont know and that is what makes me so curious.Cover is stupid considering the place is dead. Beers are almost as expensive as the nearby gentlemens clubs and the venue is a little shabby. DJ is usually solid though. Go to say you have, otherwise skip it.
This venue has the AC on during shows. Made my concert experience so enjoyable!
The Unstoppable Screams Tour rolled through with Red, Lacey Sturm, Righteous Vendetta, and my band MESSER.Stage hands and support staff was great as was the Soundsystem and lights.They have paying video poker game area and two strip clubs within walking distance. One is actually in the same parking lot a few feet away. We hope to be back soon and wished we could have stayed longer. We heard they serve 24 hours a day... But cant confirm ;)
Whoever security is tonight is hugely disrespectful. He should have let the woman who was there stay because he has no idea how to be welcoming. All of did was ask him his name. I gave himmy ID and asked his name and he said his name was security. I said, I know that’s not your name and he said that’s my name tonight and give me your ID or you can leave…. So I left!!!! I am not pressed to get into that club. He probably did me a favor.

The amazing shows that come through here is insane. When you can see Ted Nugent, Flogging Molly, and Midget Wrestling all at the same place.. Thats a keeper. Can be tough to get to the bathroom due to open floor in front of the stage. But a small price to pay for a small club show of top touring acts being in concert in a house party feel.
I used to love going to all the concerts at pops since 2000, but I stopped going after I was attacked by two people out of nowhere. after being beaten and unable to attack back I was the only one thrown out by their security guards who witnessed the entire thing!!! And was forced to leave important information and my vehicle behind because of there security!!!
This place is terrible, stay away!! I was assaulted and falsely detained by their staff. It took 3 of them to “kick me out” as I was already leaving and had done nothing wrong. Good thing they have a lot of security staff because they are very feeble, weak men who get off from assaulting innocent people and they do it in packs, like a pack of outcast strays who couldn’t make it amongst real men.
I take my sons here all the time. Im truly happy that pops cleaned up the place. Now my sons has a place to see some great tribute bands.
I attended a concert on a Saturday night. Wow!! Top-notch staff and venue. Security was polite and helpful. The venue is laid out perfectly without a bad seat in the house. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Bartenders were on their game throughout the entire night. Overall great experience and I would definitely attend another show at this venue. Thank you Pops staff for making a great night into an awesome experience!
What a joke their security staff is! My best friend went to an ETF concert last night at this venue and called me from the bathroom in a full medical episode due to your security staff! The reason? They tried to deny her access with her task trained service dog, when trying to explain the FEDERAL law to them they argued she needed cards or certification which are NOT a thing! All she caught was that the security guys name ended in Dell. Definitely a wannabe cop on a huge power trip who is going to get the club in trouble with the Department of Justice if he doesnt learn his laws and stop harassing and discriminating against the disabled with their medical equipment.
A little expensive, but you can smoke weed outside so that is a plus.

Great outdoor concert. Drinks and food good. I recommend bringing cash even though card was accepted. If you wanna buy a a $13 drink on debit/credit for example, they have to charge you $25 and give you change in cash.Also the crowd was mostly fun and lively. I did witness two separate arguments/almost fights because some people cant hold their liquor. Unfortunately some people bump into and step on others repeatedly when drunk.Despite that Kevin gates was great and Id go to another concert here again.
My daughter whom is African American was in there an a fight broke out that she had nothing to do with got jumped by 2 of there male staff security guards which there attention should have been on the fight mind you my daughter is only about 130lbs an when it was all over an she tried to explain to other staff an Sauge Police she was threatened they pulled her braids an dragged her all over the club from the back she didnt even see them coming someone please post the video so if you look like her I advise you to be extra safe an watchful are just do not go there at all.
Since I work evenings, I absolutely like going dancing on the nights Im off. Pops is open until the morning, has great DJs, and allows me to sleep in on weekends while still getting my fix. I dont necessarily drink, but the bartenders are excellent and friendly, the atmosphere is great, and I buy bottles of water to carry in my back pocket as I go about my business. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love going to Pops for concerts u are up close and can meet the band most of the time either before or after the concert its the best place to go for concerts. Went to my first ever concert there and seen HELLYEAH it was awesome 🤘🤘
I work nights so on my nights off I thoroughly enjoy My nights to go dancing. Pops has great djs and is open till sunrise which allows me to sleep in and still get a good fix every weekend. Dont necessarily drink but the bartenders are fantastic and nice and its nice and I buy Bottles of water and keep them in my back pocket while I do my own thing.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went to see Boston to Berkeley II tour here and it was an AMAZING experience! The bartenders were amazing and I had the best time and a great view in their VIP section. The industrial view made the show look dope as the sun was setting.
We were in there for a concert and it was very crowded and very hot.. they did give out free water trying to help everyone.. the venue was nice but you definitely cant move in it.. a little too crowded for my taste
Id like to start by pointing out pops has a fantastic security team. If you have a problem anytime with anybody inside or outside of pops. I can promise you with certainty that their security team has your solution. So be cool, play nice with others, respect their staff and security and you will have a great time. If you dont follow those simple and obvious rules you probably wont. Just be cool have fun and pops is a great place to go. Well lit parking with security outside. Ive been coming here for more than 22 years. Love you guys.
Pops is a really good venue, stage is high so its easy to see from anywhere. PLENTY of parking, great place to watch a band.
Just thinking about this place brings back the party animal beast in me. Im older and milder now, but I remember the original log cabin location with multiple stages, and floors, and soaked in years of spilled beer. And when it burned down, it really burned down to the ground with nothing left. Then came along the new venue with the big stage, big crowds, and that arena rock sound and feel. I need to make a special trip back to St. Louis for just one more crazy all-nighter of beer, pool, Jeger, and metal. I absolutely cant wait, and I hope it happens. Keep on rockin.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! Im sorry if any of you had a bad time there but I have been to about 300 shows there and have never once had any problems and thats saying a lot. I agree the area isnt the greatest but if your that judgmental than I can see why you have problems in the first place. The bouncers and staff could have been better but guess what....they are under new management now and have weeded out the few rude workers. Most however are very polite. This is a legendary venue which cares about its local scene and does a tremendous amount to help with there artists. Please do not be scared off by the other peoples negative comments for there experience was probably negative because obviously so was there attitude. I love this place and have been coming to shows there since I was 18 and I am now 28. I will never go to another venue for this is home for me!! I will say this the beer is overpriced but I believe its going down due to new management. Best memories of my life were here and yours can be as well!! Thank you for your time!! Stay positive!
Hadnt been to Pops in 14 years and my husband and I were there to take our 5 yr old daughter to her first concert, to see her favorite band Avatar on May 24th. She is in a wheelchair and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable and safe experience for her. She had a blast and got a number of items from the band including a signed poster. I dont know who all was involved in orchestrating that, but it basically just made her year and left me in tears. I am so grateful to the staff and everyone who checked on us throughout the show. We will definitely be back. The crowd was great, as was the ambiance, sound, lighting, crowd, and I was pleasantly surprised in the cleanliness of the bathroom. I have been to many metal shows, but this one will forever hold a special place in my heart and I know that was in part thanks to Pops and their generosity.
I really wanted to see a band and had to do it here for logistical reasons. I wasnt thrilled about going to Sauget as its kind of a dump, but I will say that the venue is NOTHING like the city it resides in. This place was actually really nice. Theyve got a lot of space in the venue with bars on both sides of the stage. There are also tables all over the place which is nice if you want to kind of chill and catch a show. Id definitely come back here again.

Good atmosphere. Awesome DJ who interacted with the crowd and knew how to get people on the floor. Pops doesnt seem to close though. The environment seems like a big hole in the wall. But for me the music and the crowd is the best part of Pops. Oh yea, and watch out for the guy on/near the punching bag who tries to hustle you.
I only go here for shows I really care about. I have skipped shows sometimes because theyre here and not at a different venue. Most of the place is pretty smelly or sticky. Its cleaner sometimes. Good bar staff for sure. A lot of Pops reputation isnt because of the place itself, its location and the patrons, which can make or break an experience on their own.
I came in tonight because it was my friends birthday. I pay all of our cover fees, and bought drinks for everybody and 30 minutes I got kicked out for doing coke we didn’t have or do. The security guard asked us to empty our pockets which we complied with, and after finding nothing still kicked us out and barred us. I won’t be returning and I want a refund for the cover charges, after you find that you wrongfully removed us for doing nothing wrong. I come out every weekend in a costume and I bring customers to you guys. This was a horrible way of handling a situation you made up! Also the picture of the poor security guard who lost his hone in that fire is wearing my glasses in the picture you used for his charity fund. I spend to much money and time there to be treated like this.
Regardless of what people who dont know May think.Safer than any place else...Bouncers and security staff are professional and on the job. Manager is available during peak hours. Bar staff, majority of is fun and on top of the madness which is bi state area after hours...Couldnt ask for more fun.And even in parking lot. Took my wife and two kids ones 5 and the other is 9 it was my 5 year olds first concert and we went to see a pantera tribute band the bouncers made both my kids feel safe and were not tootough to make them feel at home definitely recommend taking your kids to an all age show they will be safe inside
Went Saturday Night, Price is $15, to expensive for entry. Drinks was $8 each for small cup. Dj was really really really bad. The songs was all over the place and none was really a good vibe, cut in between songs with a totally different beat. Zombie Night…
Pops is alway my go to spot. Yesterday night was not to good. The music was not good at all last night. The DJ did good at blending the music but the music choices was kinda off. The music choices caused me and 10 of my friends to leave hours sooner then we expected to. Other then last night pops is still my spot. Nothing but love.
Had a great time seeing a few bands with a friend of mine. They made it a safe environment considering the area it is in and quickly got in and easily could Uber there and back. Stayed in St Louis for the night, but came down from Springfield, IL.
Went to the Avatar concert on May 24th, 2019. Staff was great and respectful. Loved the sound and light. Great place. Definitely going back to see more live music!
Never a dull moment in a friendly environment that is open 23 hours a day. Been going here off and on for about 11 yrs.pool, drinks ,live music, different genres, not once have a seen a major problem here. Even clean mens bathroom. Bartender was great kept cups full and ashtrays clean.
Nice staff. Nice mid-sized venue. Sounds great. Stage sits high enough to be seen from anywhere. Plenty of seating but also lots of standing room. Free on site parking is also a huge plus
I like seeing live shows here. Its a pretty intimate place to see a show. Its cheap to drink here and open all night long. The surrounding area is questionable, but overall a good venue. They have outdoor seating and a balcony. Great place to end the night.
My favorite late-night go to is always pops when Im around the St Louis area of the Metro East. Been going here for years for concerts and also its just a place to kick it when are the other place is closed down the DJs are always great but drinks are always cold and the people that pack its walls are always entertaining
It can be a great club. But a lot of times they play the same music. And security can be very aggressive towards the patrons. But overrall a nice place to have fun and meet ALL kinds of people. Wish they could change the price back to $5. That would be awesome.

Ive been there when people were rolling around in faygo on the floor shirtless at an ICP concert. You guys are on the wrong side of history.
Pops has been a place to be good or bad, nothing more the drinks are ok on price. ,They have a DJ and sometimes a band. Decent place to wind down after 1am after all the bars close down after 1am. Bartenders are amazing!
Some girl grabbed a $20 bill out of my hand and put it in her purse. I told security, and they claimed I was drunk after 2 beers then kicked me out. She was friends with the bouncers, so they basically robbed me with her.Ignore the idiot who said this place is safe. It has a reputation for a reason.
I have been coming here since a child for concerts with my father Im now old enough to drink and was rudely escorted and booted from the bar for the night for being to intoxicated however true that may be they separated me from my buddy who wasnt able to make it home last night and in the process of them throwing me out for being to intoxicated I lost my wallet and have not been able to get in contact with the establishment regardless of calling at the very least 20+ times today! Very upset and ruined my whole experience will not be going back other then to figure out the situation with my wallet they also did not offer me any water or help as I threw up on my shoulder in the parking lot called me an Uber and I passed out on the front porch on my face all of that would have went differently had they let me find my boy and leave
Last time I was here it was shady, as there was no lighting or security out front. This time it was bright and they had at least one patrol car out front. The venue is smaller and maybe a little run down but its always a decent time.
WORST VENUE EVER. Dont count on their advertising being trustworthy, and dont be surprised if the employees treat you like dirt. Was that an ethnic slur I heard from you, Mr. Bouncer? Yup. Ill happily spend my evenings in a cleaner, friendlier and more respectable (not to mention safer) venue…which is just about anywhere else in the Saint Louis area.
Security Guards broke my right arm after I came to report my car was broken in to on their premises and was tackled down by approximately 6-7 Security personnel. It happened so fast because I wanted them to notify police department 🤔☹️ I was told to ask the U.S. Army to come and pick me up afte the incident or else I would get arrested despite what happened. I was supposed to be deployed that very year as a Sergeant, out of State and was postponed, due to this incident!

I ordered a beer as soon as I got there and as I handed my money to the bartender, the security guy came up to me and said I need to be tipping when I buy drinks and told me to go ahead and throw a buck to her. SHE HASN’T EVEN GIVEN ME MY CHANGE BACK YET DUDE, WTH. AND THAT WAS THE FIRST BEER I ORDERED, I JUST WALKED IN. Didn’t stay long. This place was lame.
Obviously doesnt check ID properly when getting credit card info. My credit card info was stolen and 4 separate charges were made here. If they had checked ID properly, they would have known that something was wrong. Over $150 spent and they dont catch it? Shady....

Dont forget sunglasses for when you stop killin it!! Main concert/local show/club on the east side! Kept safe by security, enjoy the double stages and watch local bands compete with little set time and never go thirsty with a bar on each side, dance over to the shot stand near the gaming/patio lounge! 21+ after midnight!
First and only visit! I attended the battle for pointfest pops and had a great time. The problem came at the end of the night when one of the bands and I were sitting around a table chatting. I had just finished a drink and went to get another as i walked to the bar to decided to throw my cup, now only containing ice, into the trash. The cup hit tue edge of the can and then hit the floor. I picked it up apologized to the 2 employees standing there then was immediately kicked out. This is not how you treat people. If i had been drunk, loud or abusive fine kick me out, but for dropping a cup of ice? Yeah good business practice. On top of being kicked out i found out from a bouncer that it was the owner that saw me drop my cup and he was quote just in a pissy mood. Im a bartender and people spill stuff all the time you clean it up and say accidents happen. I wasnt even allowed to tell my friends that i had to leave prompting them to search the busy club for me. Stay far away! Find a better venue one that isnt aubject to the whims of a child like owner.
Love this place not only can you drink 24 hrs you can do all kinds of things in there like pool,video machines that pay out, again drink 24 hrs and meet up with good friends after all there personal bars close and keep the party going, and my favorite foosball. Anyone t the at likes to play foosball look at my picture come find me, because I need someone to challenge me, but I say good luck. Lol
Security is a joke. They power trip on kicking people out for whatever little thing they can find. Would not recommend traveling for any show here.

Whenever they post a new metal band to their website i always get super excited. A great place to see concerts for someone who wants a good show for cheap. They have had some pretty big names in metal. Slipknot performed there in 1999 and since names like Sevendust Clutch Gwar Mushroomhead and Icp have played there, even the legend Marty Friedman himself. If you are a fan of metal and live in the St. Louis area this place is for you
Pops is a bit rough around the edges, but that’s part of the charm. I’ve been there nights it’s utterly dead, and nights where it’s packed and raging. If your in StL and appreciate the unpolished scene it’s a good place to scope out
Pops used to be great, but they quit booking good acts after gutting their budget. Now its wannabe dubstep and juggalos. Go to Delmar Hall or the Ready Room to see the good acts coming through STL.
If u walk in at any time before 12:30am u might b disappointed this place is soo much fun after 1am. Liquor is cheap too. ❤ Had a lot of fun stayed till 8am once 😂💁

Beware of the totally psychotic and rude staff and security in the parking lot. They rant at everyone and threaten calling the police for trespassing, even if youre e.g. standing outside your own parked car while making a phone call on the parking lot. Its really retarded! Id rate the place F-. Oh, and if you go inside, youre guaranteed major permanent hearing damage.
We spent the night in their parking lot after a fine Jack’s pizza scorched the skin from the roof of my mouth. Good. Times.
So ive been here twice now, overall its a okay place. The DJ is not the best and would botch the songs bad to where people where just leaving. The price is reasonable though
How can you hate a place that is open 24/7? Lots of fun, lots of people watching, especially late night. Only negatives are there tends to be a lot of likes-to-fight-guys there.
The men working the door were very friendly and professional. The bartender made us some excellent drinks. Loved the closed in smoking patio.
Best bar for Juggalo shows. Great crowds. Friendly staff. Insanely good food truck outside. Try the chicken hoagie. Nachos are awesome too
It feels nasty here even when its clean, like you just shouldnt touch anything. There is some kind of minimum tab of like $20 or something so get ready for that would recommend bringing cash
I love the way they operate the staff are very nice and its a great atmosphere everybody is there to have fun no matter what race and they have great music that everyone can relate to.
Music was real red neck and dudes creeped hella hard, even while my boyfriends arm was around my waist a dude tried to lean down on me. I actually intervened on behalf of a lady who was being harassed by a man, holding tightly to her wrist as she said no, let me go. Where is security for this? Too much playing.
Was kicked of the venue for smoking weed while under 21, i am 20 years old and can make my own choices, i was not kicked out for smoking tho, the staff was smug and rude and had 4 people escort us out, will never go back and will tell others the same.
Best small concert venue in the Lou Ill say. Lots of great concerts happen here. And this place is chill and full of good vibes.
