Terrible service.Got full set which was average. My husband got a pedicure and it was awful. The lady didn’t bother scrubbing his feet. She didn’t get his cuticles out. It’s so disappointing since I have been a customer since 2022. We complained to the owner Mary and she just laughed about it. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

My daughter wanted her nails done for her birthday. She searched google for images of what she wanted. The image she found was a set of nails with very exquisite nail art, something that would require a very talented nail artist! We searched and with the help of several very positive reviews found Star nails and hair. We drove from St Augustine to Jacksonville to give them a try. They did NOT disappoint!! WOW! Mary looked at the photo we provided and explained exactly what she could and could not do in the most professional manner that I have ever personally dealt with at a nail salon. She did an absolutely fabulous job and my daughter is extremely happy with her nails!! If you want beautiful hand drawn nail designs, Mary is the lady to see!! Thank you Mary for a wonderful experience and your awesome talent!! We will be back!!!

Paige is absolutely amazing! She is so incredibly polite, personable, and not to mention, talented. She does not make you feel rushed either. I highly recommend coming here. I have tried so many places in the area and they do not even come close to the service they provide here.

This was my first time going here and it was a great experience. A real chill environment and relaxing. Ms.Kim did my nails and it was an amazing job. The place was clean and neat and they have a nice sugar scrub. Will definitely be going back.

Broke a nail and this place was recommended. Very spacious and bright. My appointment was in the evening. No waiting upon my arrival. There were 2 workers on-site. I wanted ombre, dipped nails. I suppose one lady didnt know how to do what I requested. She went and got the other lady and she informed me that she wasnt good at it and didnt want to charge me for something they couldnt do. This was fine with me and very appreciated. Up front discussion settled everything. The first lady did a wonderful job on the getting my nails prepped for the other lady to step in and do the ombre. I loved how it turned out.

I wanted to do a Christmas theme but stay classy. I showed a picture of what I wanted and when I say it’s exactly what I want i left completely satisfied. The pictures I added was what I asked for and what I got . I’m happy and will be back

I followed my nail tech Kim here from Riverside and im so glad I did. She takes such good care of my hands and feet and I only have to come in once a month. I bring in the craziest pictures of nail art and she does an amazing job every single time!!! Id follow her to St. Augustine just to keep her doing my nails. The shop is also very relaxing and full of friendly staff. They even gave a salon and offer massages. Talk about full service 5 star treatment.

I had ms Mary and she was absolutely wonderful! Great conversation and she gave me exactly what I was asking for. My nails came out absolutely beautiful! I have found my new salon.

Mary and this establishment impressed me in so many ways today. She helped me out of the car when I showed up with a crying baby, invited me to openly feed baby by the front lounge and when doing my eyebrows, she was extremely accommodating with the baby and even pushed to have me hold her and let me feed her during the session to keep the baby happy and content when LO wasnt content with the first feeding session.Also, even though this is a nail salon, the smell is significantly less than what you get at most salons, which makes me feel alot more comfortable bringing the baby in. This is a very open space layout and I was able to move around with the stroller easily without fear of running into anything.This place also does a significantly large amount of things in one building, which makes things convenient. I will be back.I left feeling better, got what I paid for, and know I was treated as a human and a mom with no judgment.

Amazing work! i had a walk- in, they was short one person but i didn’t wait no longer than 10 mins! did my set in 45! very nice and will actually talk to you! i recommend 100%.

I never knew you could love your nail tech, but Mary is the best of the best. She does my nails, my permanent eye liner and my eyelashes.

Mary is the best nail tech I’ve had and doesn’t overcharge/ I love her work and my nails are so neat. She does the dip powder using the brush, she’s so skilled. I’ll be back.

First of all the reviews were very misleading . This place was so underwhelming and disappointing. The website was unclear about the prices, they charge more then what the website says. They over charge for simple designs. The lady who did our designs messed up simple hearts and letters and cut a finger while doing acrylics. I left with a big hole in my wallet and at best mediocre nails that anyone could do with some simple supplies could do. Over all I would not recommend to anyone.

Abysmal. Not only do they have little to no command of the English language, but also the owner operates like a boor with customers and her employees alike. They have zero idea how to remove gel polish without the electronic file, do not disclose this is a required process in advance, seem to be confused as to their own approach (e.g. they wrap your nails in acetone polish remover when fully aware you have gel polish on THEN afterwards, due to the bully boss, tell you it won’t work unless they file off the top coat at a minimum) and made it seem as if it is rocket science. They’re loud so all customers can hear the discussion. They also are a venue where belligerent, borderline sociopathic customers try to interject when they’re not being spoken to. I had to engage law enforcement to deal with this place and some Caucasian male customer who clearly had lost his marbles and was yelling like a newborn in his sad attempt to chime in on a conversation I was having with the owner to coach her to higher level of customer service. Caucasian jumping in with the Asians to try to bully a black customer. No dice. No thanks.

I really really liked this nail salon up until about an hour ago when I had a horrible customer service experience and decided I will not be visiting here again. I went in last Saturday (exactly 1 week ago) to get the SNS dip powder. I noticed mid-week they started cracking/shattering, hence I went back this morning to get them redone. When I went inside it was just the two employees (owner and sister) that were there. The sister was busy with a client, however the owner greeted me and asked how she could help. I told her about the problem and she said “we will take care of it for you.” I stood at the desk for a couple minutes while she wrote in a book and then decided it was better to rest my weary nurse feet. The owner didn’t acknowledge me after that. She somehow disappeared to the back and I sat and sat until I got up and walked out. As a nurse, caregiving is great but excellent customer service is just as important. Next time, it will be better to communicate with your clients if you are in the middle of something and give an estimated wait time. I felt unappreciated as a paying customer. There are plenty of nail salons in Jacksonville, I’m sure I can find better.

My new favorite nail salon! I got married in October and went to see Mary to get acrylics. I showed her a picture for inspiration, and she nailed it exactly! (No pun intended 😂) She didnt over drill my natural nail, which I was having a difficult time finding a nail tech who didnt file my natural nail too thin. The thickness of the acrylics was also perfect! They felt seamless on top of my natural nail! Star Nails can do all of the classic acrylic applications such as: pink and white, nude, and gel polish, but they can also do so much more! They have colored acrylic powder so you can have endless color combinations and designs! My current set is going on three weeks, and I still have no lifting despite the fact that my profession requires me to have my hands in water constantly! I definitely plan on revisiting for Valentines Day! ♥️💕♥️

Excellent service. Got a full set one week. Was very pleased. Came back the following week for a pedicure. Absolutely would recommend this place. Not to mention the massage chairs. Very nice an clean.

I absolutely love the people who work at this place! Both Kim and Mary are dedicated to make sure you are completely satisfied before you leave. My nails always look great, with many compliments every time I get them done. DEFINITELY worth a visit!

The girl who did my nails was extremely nice as well as everyone else at the salon. She did a great job on the shape, length and color of my nails. Unfortunately, my acrylics starting lifting 2 days later...which is sad because this has never happened to me before even when I used an at home gel kit myself. $60 for 2 day nails is unacceptable. Please train your employees to do better.

Love this salon! By far best nail service I have ever had in Jacksonville. Kim is my go to woman and Mary is fantastic. I am so thankful they opened this location and highly recommend everybody to check it out. Very clean, relaxing and comfortable. Thank you ladies!!

This place was nice. My friend and I called for appointments at the same time and got them within a half hour. Mary gave me a pedicure, a full set of nails with gel polish and waxed my brows. Kim gave my friend her pedicure and full set of nails with gel polish and designs. We will be going back. Prices were very reasonable.

Star Nails is my go to spot for all my nail needs. Service is always very friendly and kind. I recommend this salon to everyone I know that’s looking for a nice salon!

Having to come from Nassau County this place is totally worth the drive! Its a One Stop Shop for nails, pedicures, eyelashes, eyebrows, Brazilian wax, microblading, haircuts ( men & women) hair coloring powder coating, and many more, all in a spa-like setting. Mary is multi-talented and does it all, she will make you feel like a million dollars when you leave. Kim and Leon are awesome nail techs an exceptional pedicurist. I love the fact that they have sugar scrub next to the sink it really softens your hands and smells wonderful. I forgot to mention its an extremely clean environment and friendly staff.

Very nice people and great customer service. Theres a beautician named Cheryl that does my hair. And I am VERY picky about my hair. Shes very professional, youll be seen on time give or take just a few minutes (almost unheard of with a lot of black beauticians), and her prices are very reasonable. You can get your hair, nails, toes, brows and lashes in one place. You cant beat that!

I came in for a nail removal and full set, and they were wonderful during my visit. The nail removal was not painful, and Kim was very patient and gentle. My full set after removal was very clean and beautiful! Love their service! 😊

I went to get my eyebrows waxed. Not the most welcoming, and the waxing bed had a not-so-clean towel. Not sure if I received the right price since prices aren’t listed anywhere. Unfortunately, I was in a rush. Edit: Found the price on the website after I got home. I was overcharged. Bad business.

Nice staff, not too pricey but depends what you get. I liked my nail tech and the nails she did for me. That said, its not the cleanest place. Not the most skilled staff, and its definitely a whole in the wall spot. For a basic gel nail paint job youre golden, but the cool designs arent here. Options are limited due to lack of technique. The prices adding up mixed with the staffs confusion over questions of ability just made for awkward mins filled with anxiety. Not the relaxing experience youd want at a spa. Again nice enough but Id do with cold and silent to me if I got the exceptional work I expected and the offers of techniques. Not here.. beware of long fake nails.. seems ppl have had some infections in their nailbeds afterwards.. I dont use fake nails.Ive noticed it is very hard to find a 4- 5 star nail or hair place in Fleming Island, Orange Park & Jacksonville. Theyre all very average to most below average.. I really miss my Fox and Jane Salon in COS, CO and the great nail spot around the corner. Best of luck here. Simple paint job, youre fine. I also had to find this simple paint job from another nail shop site bc the one posted on their site turned out not to even be their work and they didnt know how to do...seemed stressful to them to attempt.

I am thoroughly satisfied with my pampering experience here. They are always willing to work in walk ins and the service is quick and efficient. I will be returning in two weeks!

Ive been to this place twice..prices are ok I guess for the basic service but not the quality.. first was just for eyelashes (strips) lashes were done cleanly and neatly but came off next day, never had lashes come off so quick..Second time lashes (individual) came off quick again some fell out within first two days and by a week no lashes left (used to them lasting two weeks at least), eyebrows wax looked like I barely even got them wax, pedicure good no complaints, full set gel nails looked nice but gel began peeling after two days and continued (never had that happened before)...I would say visit here at your own risk its a reason the place is always looking so not busy, personally wouldnt come again

The name really lives up to the hype. It should be called “5 Star Nails & Hair” . The hair stylist were very polite and gave me an excellent haircut. Definitely will revisit!

Very sloopy work, which I had to keep pointing out. Discovered even more imperfections when I arrived home. I specifically asked if they could work well with ingrown toenails when I scheduled the appointment. The tech ended up causing me pain and bleeding. 1st and last time coming here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for a simple pedicure and, while it is... acceptable.. the work is shoddy. Maybe theyre better at manicures and acrylic nails, but the pedicure is cheaper and better just about anywhere else.

This was my first time coming and I can’t say I was happy. I got a full set and a pedicure. My nails were sloppy and my left toe is now infected. I will come back once more for a full set for the benefit of the doubt, but never again for a pedicure.

I went to get the gel and powder off my nails, first the lady kept going on her phone it seem like she had some personal issue’s she kept checking her phone while taking off my nails, she got an attitude when I told her I wanted powder on my nails before she painted it, aggressively took off the polish, I just told her nvm just to finish the gel polish and call it day, nails came out OK, she didn’t get a tip
