I didnt stay at the Golden Nugget, but I got to gamble there. There black jack tables are the best once from all the other casinos. The rules they have was amazing and better chance of you winning and playing for hours. Other casinos I played 15 min lost $100.00. At the Golden Nugget I played 2 hours with $100.00. cant wait to go back.
This is my go-to casino. My casino host is the BEST. I love the pet friendly rooms. They are on the 1st floor. You simply walk out your sliding glass door and your pet can take care of business. The only downside to pet owners is that most do not comply to the contract they have signed. My dog is little but does not like other dogs. When I want to walk him I have to always check to be sure other owners have their dogs on leashes. Too many times they have not. Also we drive across the river to buy a crate because that is what the contract states. It’s for the safety of the hotel staff. Most owners don’t crate when they leave their rooms. The pool rooms are great. You walk out your room to the pool. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that some rooms our run down and pieces falling off sinks, furniture, etc. It’s a great place to get away for a few days. Salt Grass is an amazing place to get the best steak, play some slots and enjoy a drink.
This resort offers incredible value for LSC and 24K club members and makes Golden Nugget a great option for Laughlin lodging needs. That said, the rooms are dated, the AC was a bit weak, and they all need a refresh. Unlike other recent reviews, I did not have an issue with room cleanliness or bugs. Must be a dice roll whether you get a good room or not. FYI: Hotel walls are paper thin so be prepared for that.
Beautiful casino but very smoky. I couldnt come to this casino and game because of the smell. We had dinner in the Saltgrass resturant, but honestly it too smelt of cigarette smoke, so much so that I asked if they allowed smoking in there. They told me they didnt so it must just be in the AC filters circulating air.Food was good, but again its unlikely Id go back as the cigarette smoke is off putting.
Not a pet friendly hotel! We specifically went to this hotel because they were one of the only ones who stated they are dog friendly. We arrived in the evening and settled into our room. The room was very dirty, crumbs all over the floors, unknown sticky residue in every corner, crumbs in all the dresser drawers and the nightstand. The ac was set to 75 and was barely blowing out any air. The room was humid and muggy making the 100+ degree weather more enjoying compared to our room. Our room was located at the end of the hall in the west area if the hotel. There were many other dogs in this area. Some barking all night long. The next morning, we ventured out to the pool which was cloudy and had dead bugs floating around. While at the pool for approximately 20 minutes, the front desk called me advising that my dog is barking and to please check on the dog because other guests were complaining of only my dog- this was told to me by Don. I sent my son to check to make sure everything was in order in the room. Everything was fine; there were plenty of maintenance crew, security and housecleaning staff among other guests in the area walking around and in and out of doors. Again, our room was located at the end of the hallway which has the door to the stairs, the maintenance doors and maids area where they were frequently going in and out of. Please keep in mind there are other dogs near our room barking but was told by the front desk manager Don, whom we were warned about the night before of how uptight she is regarding check out times, called and stated it was only our dog who was barking and causing a disturbance. I asked Don to inform me of their dog/pet policy to which she could only explain that my dog was a problem to staff and guests including the security guard and I cant leave my dog in he hotel. *for reference, I have a pug. Don further explained, that just because they advertise as pet friendly does not mean I can leave my dog in the room while we go out and enjoy our vacation. I asked Don if there were any other areas that allow for dogs to be at, specifically the beach areas and of course Don did not know. Don continued to tell me that being a dog friendly hotel does not mean dogs are allowed to bark. Also, its day time hours already not middle of the night hours. We immediately packed up our things and left. There was no apologies for the inconvenience, there was no policy presented regarding the rules of the hotel and dog policy, there was absolutely zero customer service. The woman who checked us out at the front desk believed to be Don, had a cold expression on her face, unflinching and unconcerned as to why guests were checking out early. I expected more for a hotel that charges resort fees to behave as such. We get better customer service and cleaner rooms at a hotel 6 in the middle of downtown LA then we did here. Do better
I love the decor inside the casino, a nice white noise waterfall greeted us as we came in. However, the machines are super tight. When one jackpot (non-progressive) pays $2k at a competitor, it pays $1k here. Lesser payouts equals tighter machines. The pit area is nice and easy, very laid back. David, the pit boss was great! Very friendly. He mentioned how he used to work at a high stress job over at Harrahs, and really loved it at the Golden Nugget. It shows!
This place is horrible! First off the AC didnt work. Room was 98 degrees. We brought it up to the front desk. They said a technician will be up to fix it. Hour later nothing. Within that hour I looked over the room. It was so dirty. Dust build up of months and months. Food and bugs under the furniture. All the light fixtures were rusting and place looked and felt run down. I looked under the bed sheets, BED BUGS!!! I said nope and immediately went to the front desk to get my money back. The staff showed no care, didnt even get a sorry. They were just rude and seemed bothered. Me and my wife left and just drove home. Place was so gross. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Read other reviews, theyre TRUE!!
A fun place to see and maybe even win some money. I enjoy watching people win here while Im out getting some exercise in the a/c casino. There is a nice section of non smoking casino. I enjoyed a piece of mother lode chocolate cake at Claim Jumper, especially when I have an offer of bonus $ at the restaurant!
I was impressed with the room. It seemed like it may have been recently refurbished or the staff is very good. The casino was nice and the grounds were well kept.
First time here. Ive stayed at the hotel in Las Vegas before. Everything was great except the room had no microwave! The staff was attentive and professional. Ill probably check out one of the other hotels the next time I visit, just to see whats the difference (if any) Room was clean and had no problems.
Great place and the service in all areas was wonderful. Our waiter, Jeff, at the Claim Jumper was top notch. We looked forward to seeing him every morning. Israel, at Saltgrass Steak House was wonderful and we ended up eating at the bar several nights. The food was very good, as well. We signed up with Mary as our casino host and she was very helpful. Totally recommend this place.
My two cousins and I stayed a couple nights after our family recommended it. We weren’t expecting too much but the experience we had was horrible. When we got to our room, it smelled incredibly heavily of chlorine. At first we brushed it off as something from the pool, although we found out we were nowhere near the pool. We cracked a window and went to get dinner. However, when i got back, the smell was still very strong. After being in the room for only 20 minutes or so, our eyes and throats started hurting and we got headaches from the smell. My cousin went to reception to ask for a new room. They said they didn’t have any other rooms available and just sent someone from housekeeping who merely sprayed cleaner or some kind of air freshener all over the room, even on our pillows! Even she admitted that it smelled awfully of bleach but adding extra chemical fumes to the air did nothing. We went back to check in to request a refund or a room change again because we felt ill staying in the room and began looking for rooms at other places. Of course, this is when they said they did have a room for us. They helped us move our luggage, which was helpful, but the new room wasn’t much better. It smelled of musty smoke and something else. When we opened the window, there was no screen, and we were on the first floor so we couldn’t leave it open for fear of someone coming in. The cleanliness of the rooms was also questionable, there were bugs, no fan in the bathroom, and everything felt very outdated and smelled of smoke. We will not be returning. Do not recommend.
We have given reviews for here in the past. This by far will be the most favorable because of Jenny. Thank you Dear for fixing our reservation problems, while having that can do attitude in doing it. Your smile is contagious and infectious. The stay was awesome this time. Hooray!!
We were on vacation in Vegas and decided to drive to Loughlin and stay 1 night at the Golden Nugget. It wasnt a good experience! Restaurants were closed and only one was open (which wasnt very good and service was horrible). Casino is very outdated as well as the rooms. Pool was small and very dirty. Nothing open for drinks either. We return to our room at about 11pm. Around 3 am, thanks to our noisy neighbors fighting, I felt something crawl on me? I turned the light on and found a bed bug! We jumped out of bed and had to go through our stuff. We had to check out at 5am because we couldnt stay in that room! When checking out, I ask for a manager, but the lady at the front desk said there wasnt one yet. I had the bug in a plastic bag and gave it to her. She said she would have a manager call or email me because there was nothing she could do? Needless to say, I never heard from anyone at the Golden Nugget and the only thing they did was refund me $14.99 for the resort fee! Lol06/06/24
Horrible!! Currently trying to sleep at this hotel & have been for hours. But the amount of slamming doors, running down the hallway, screaming, laughing, & so much more is ridiculous! Its 11pm & I feel like there is a party on my floor & I was the only one not invited. The room to the right, left, & across the hall are having a great time. But I just want to sleep!!! I counted 15 people going into the room across from me. Ive stayed at this place a handful of times past & never experienced anything like this.Updating to include that I did not sleep all night & am beginning to believe some shady practices are taking place in this hotel in the realms of human or drug trafficking. You can see a lot through a peep hole.
We had a room on the third floor with a river view, great view once you got pass the extremely dirty glass. The pictures of the room on the internet look much better than what we saw upon check in, Its time gor Golden Nugget to get improvements done now. The casino was pretty good for a small casino, the machines paid off a little, so that made it fun. The Saltgrass Steak House was amazing, great food and drinks, excellent service well.
The room was basic, no frills. The furniture and decore was dated and a bit worn, but the room was very clean. The worst part is the room is very noisy. Very thin walls so you can hear anything happening in the halls of neighboring rooms- conversations, the TV, etc. There was also music from outside until late in the night. The front desk service was fine and housekeeping was above average. The casino was quite smoky. An old stale smelling smokiness everywhere. The kind that sticks to your clothes after you leave. The whole property could use a renovation. It was cheap though. Free covered parking is a plus.
Absolutely disgusting how staff treat guests here at this casino, especially the keno staff. There were three of us that bought 2x10 keno draws at 415pm on May 30. The draws are supposed to be every 5 minutes. After the first draw it was 30 minutes before the second draw. Then after the second draw it was another 45 minutes before our third draw. We asked what was happening and the keno tenant said he’d fallen asleep and the rest of the draws would be every 5 minutes. The keno hours are from 11am -7pm and at 630pm we were still waiting for our last draw and when we went up and asked we were told keno was done for the day. No refund and the keno tenant didn’t even give us our winnings.I would like management to respond as we don’t appreciate having the casino steal money. For other guests if you value your time and money, STAY FAR AWAY from this casino
Went for a celebration of life for a friend who worked there. The Golden Nugget was gracious enough to let them have it there at no charge. I applaud them for helping out this family and for helping one of their own. Thank you Golden Nugget.
Horrible customer service. I booked the room through Expedia, we got there past 12am and when we got to the front desk Kori took my ID and said “ I just cancelled your reservation 5min ago”. I was shocked, I kindly asked if she can reverse that and she said she couldn’t but she could book us for $300 a night. I paid $75 for the rooms. I tried elsewhere but the registration offices were closed. She knew we had no other options. I had no other choice but to book at $300. Then she had me wait for an hour to book us because she was “auditing” her work. She had no empathy that we had driven 6hrs to get there, had children with us and we’re all very exhausted. She was very sarcastic and rude and had no intention on helping us. We ended up paying $1,200. She also said she would apply military discount but when we checked out the person said they don’t honor that. Horrible and nasty people working there. And to top it off they have bed bugs and the rooms are outdated and no restaurants in the premises which I would not like to eat there after seeing the little creatures they have.
Dialysis DENIED to be accommodated by staff.Made reservations to accommodate ADA and in room dialysis. Advised during reservations and on call back to confirm all was set yes ADA room and adjoining room booked. Upon arrival no adjoining room, but can be moved the next day to the adjoining room. The next day no, actually the room it’s not available. We asked for the manager, Victor advised the rooms are not guaranteed and there is nothing him or the Golden Nugget in Laughlin can do to accommodate my mom to get her dialysis done. I was visibly upset begging an available room a conference room anything to do dialysis. Victor said no we can not and will not be accommodating this. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Dialysis accommodations refused!! Stay anywhere else!
Weve been going to Laughlin for over 40 yrs and have stayed here multiple times. We booked our room online (as always) and were charged resort fees. When we checked in, they wanted to charge us again. When I indicated that we already paid, they asked for proof besides my receipt with the confirmation number (which I always print for this reason). They asked for a bank statement. I pulled it up on my phone. That satisfied them, and everything was good till we checked out. They actually charge us again! I said absolutely not. They credit us after some arguing. When I got home, they reversed the credit and charged my card!! Im working with my bank now for a refund. Terrible service and shocking that theyd go this far for a few $s. And resort fees! For what!? I was asked if I wanted my room clean and restocked when we checked in, I said yes. Nope, that didnt happen. I had to call at midnight when we came in to get towels and sheets and everything else we paid for. We were there for 3 nights! I will never gamble or stay here again!! Sad cuz weve always liked this place.
For my first time in Laughlin I was expecting better. I put a reservation online 2 months prior to check in when we arrived we were told they didnt have the room we paid for so instead of getting 2 beds got 1 bed and a air mattress. Room was dirty service was horrible. I would not recommend staying here.
Very dusty in room, causes sinus problems. Veding machines charge $5.00 for water or cola. You have to ask for room service. No drinking water in the room unless you Ask for it, Coffee machine didnt work right? No coffee unless you ask for it. Very disappointing. Restaurants are really over priced. Food was social some was good some, Whats pretty bad. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
So I book online for a 2 night stay of 129.99 on Saturday and 69.99 on Sunday booking was limited so I took what I could get which was apparently “river view” rooms which you have to pay extra for of course but they don’t advertise nor tell you in person at all in case you were all wondering. An extra 20 bucks a night can’t beat it🙄I get to my room and during the day I’m just miserable as can be. Profusely sweating with the window closed and curtain pulled shut and AC set to max COOL. Had to go sit in my car in the AC for a bit to catch a break. This place is trash go somewhere else unless you like discomfort at its finest. Also elevators are shoddy at best when they are even in service.
The place has excellent service. They go out of their way to make sure you have what you wantThe rooms are clean. But a few things, theres no vent in bathroom so it gets humid, theres no safe, and the first night I found a flea, but dont know where it came from. Its a old building. But so is laughlin. I had an excellent time and just love laughlin in general. Would recommend for a budget hotel!
Nice friendly staff. Very clean. I do not drink. Sat at a very nice bar with an outstanding bartender. Have me free soda water and lime.Did not my hanging out there for some time checking my email and such.
This hotel is very dated.ROOM: nice sized with mini fridge & comfortable bedding. No safe, no sheer curtain beneath the blackout curtain so you were either in the dark or let anyone look in. No drain stoppers in the sink or shower. I fumbled a cap on some face cream & lost it down the sink! & the towels were thin & scratchy. The AC couldn’t keep up in the heat of the day of our west facing room. There was plenty of drawer space & some hanging space.POOL: fine but. But small. The hit tub jets were insane- water splashing out of the hot tub. There were signs saying no outside food or drink, but no wait service or open bar there. The hotel is on the river so that was nice, & we had a nice but pricey meal at Bubba Gump right at the waterfront.Overall this hotel is stretching to be 3 stars. More like 2.5. All of the interactions we had with staff were pleasant. Although it took 20 minutes to check out. Seemed excessive. Plus we were told that each room could only have one room key (due to shortages). Our group had 3 rooms & just 1 key per room.
Great place to enjoy your weekend. Or for Mothers day weekend. The atmosphere is great. The employees were kind, helpful and smiled. The room cleaned and look great.
Room was dirtyValet damaged my vehicle and refused to take ownership. Cost me out of my own pocket. Don’t use the valet they are unsafe.
Pros:Room was clean and had basic amenities. The hotel is nice and well maintained. Pool and jacuzzi, although the pool is not really heated.ConsIf you stay on the west tower, the resort music they play is very loud and can be heard in your room from about 9 am to 11 pm. Needed to use air conditioner to drown out.
The Golden Nugget in Laughlin is in dire need of some renovations. The rooms are old and could use some fresh paint and new carpets. The cleanliness of the rooms left something to be desired. There were cobwebs in almost every corner of the room, and for a non-smoking room, it sure did smell like stale cigarettes. The casino floor is small but had a good selection of slots. There was only one roulette table and one craps table. The only rooms with a good view are thrid and fouth floor and facing the river.
Wife told me waste of time writing review because they dont care and thats the whole problem. Booked trip last year for a poolside room. Before we left on a three day drive verified reservation. Got there no poolside room told they didnt have any that was a lie because we were there with other people who got a room air-conditioning broke and they got switched to another available poolside room. And the whole time they were there no one was in the other room next to them. So we were lied to more than once. Six of us come there every year for eight years we will never come back again. Dont like being lied to.
The waiter at the bar kept neglecting us. We were playing and are Vegas residents. He made a priority to stock product and chat with the waitresses This when we sat there with empty glasses. We moved away and got better service.
Location on the riverfront is nice. Rooms are well below an acceptable standard. Old furnishings, barely functional air conditioning that struggles to cool the room, bathroom missing drain stopper in sink and tub, no safe, only one key per room allocated, overall not a good room. You pay a resort fee which includes wifi, but the wifi is ridiculously slow. If you charge for wifi, it should be working decently. There is no gym. Casino is nice with newer style slot machines and a small table games area. Casino seems much smokier than others. Restaurants on property are good, but pretty expensive compared to the rest of Laughlin. Bubba Gump has a great waterfront patio. Parking was easy and we always found available spots. Pool is small but nice. Overall, I would not stay here again. Too many minor issues at the hotel related to quality that could be easily addressed, but are not. I would recommend staying somewhere else.
The games were disappointing, the building was in disrepair, the wallpaper was coming off the wall in our room. We tried dinner at Guy Fieris Burracho Burro restaurant and were very disappointed. The waitress was nice and very helpful but the food made me itch and my husband got an upset stomach from it.
My husband and I booked a room for one night 05/25 and were given a room with no working AC unit. We went to the front desk three times to see if we could be moved but were told that we would have to wait for someone to come and fix the AC unit. We waiting for an hour but no one showed up (they said it would take 10 minutes for someone to show up but no one did). We ended up packing our bags and driving two hours back home because they would not book us another room and everywhere else was sold out for the evening. The manager never helped, just sat back and looked at us (after making us wait 10 minutes for her and her staff to talk about how much they want to go home) and never received an apology). I called the BBB and the credit card company to get our money back. For reference it was 98° in the room... and the window was busted so the cold air was leaving the room. I would rather sleep in the dirt then come back to this place.
Great service from the moment we pulled in. Thanks to the valet Steven and I dont remember wthe girls name that helped us. A blonde. We lived our stay there. Very clean and has all the games we like
I was so disappointed with this hotel. I stayed here on February 3, 2024. I arrived around 8:00 p.m. there was only one staff working at first I was helped right away, but due to my own fault I could not find my ID. I had to go get it out of my vehicle. When I returned there was a lady at the desk being helped who had her own issues after waiting 20 min it was my turn. The check in went smooth and I received the card key to my room. As I went to the elevator I noticed there was a sign stating the elevator was out of service! I was frustrated as I had several pieces of luggage and was put on the third floor which meant I had to carry all of my stuff up three flights of stairs. I went back to the desk to see if I could get another room. I was told that the room I was assigned was all they had available. So I started my journey up the stairs. Luckily, there was a nice man on the second flight that offered to carry my luggage up the last flight of stairs. When I got into the room it was okay until I had to use the plugs in the bathroom for my curling iron. The plug would not stay in so I had to keep Re plugging my curling iron and blow dryer back into the wall. I finally moved everything to the living room and got ready there. I went down to the casino to gamble for a while the machines were horrible I could not win anything and I am usually lucky. This was the worst gambling and hotel experience I’ve ever had in Laughlin and I have stayed and played at other casinos there I’ve never had an issue. In the morning I left my room around 9:30 a.m., and assumed the elevator would be working. However, it was not I had to carry all of my luggage down the stairs which was a little easier than going up the stairs, but should not have had to do it at all. I highly doubt I will ever stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have stayed at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and it was very nice, but the Laughlin hotel was a disappointment. I felt there should have been some compensation offered for the elevator issue alone, but nothing was said. Overall, the hotel was nothing special and a waste of money I recommending staying somewhere else.
The keys to open the door failed multiple times. Id get a new key, walk to the room, and it would fail, making me have to rekey it over and over. I assume it was a failure of the system, but it was a pain to deal with. And everyone in line with me was there for key issues. It was a hotel issue. The casino was good. The restaurants were pretty good. The dealers were good people, and the casino overall was better than most out there. The rooms were good but the air conditioner had issues in my room and my brothers room. We had to call maintenance to fix the issue for both rooms. But they were fast to respond and fix the issue.
There is plenty of parking, the property looked clean.Check-in was uneventful. The room was clean, looking, and nice for the price. I didnt get a good view. The room had complementary coffee and water for two.The casino is small and cozy. They have old and new gaming options.Theres a nice fountain at the entrance to the casino.
Went in ,played one machine , put 20 bucks in, bet the max, on the third hit i won two grand. Went across the street, ate at in n out and drove back home with a pocket full of cash and the trip paid for. Not bad.
My opinion this is the very cleanest room you can buy in Laughlin also they have a lot of different types of casinos and Slots I enjoy gambling from 2 to 4:00 a.m. in the morning its the best payout clean rooms excellent service and good customer service
Good location and probably the nicest hotel in Laughlin. Beautiful downstairs and didnt smell too bad. Room could use updating and could have been cleaner: there were a few wrappers on the floor and some small mold spots on ceiling since bathroom doesnt have a fan. Decent size and comfy beds. The empty good-sized fridge and Keurig add value to the relatively high price we paid. Not the best parking situation but we just parked over at Pioneer since we were visiting our grandparents who stay at Pioneer.
An older place in Laughlin, yet clean, affordable, and just the right size. Numerous places to eat and drink both in and outside of the casino. If youre looking for the casino experience that isnt too big or too small, this is your place. Bubba Gump, Claim Jumper and Salt grass all provide excellent cuisine, while the cafe Bean and Bread has excellent coffee and, get this, Ice cream! Had Cherry chip ice cream for the first time in a long time! Overall, I had a wonderful time with friends and loved ones. Will return when possible!
Here on vacation and had to switch rooms because the ac was out.. twice Ive been woke up by the people above us stomping there feet loud, elevator dinging, slamming doors, someone trying to get in our room. Asked host Mary to comp rooms but she refused so Im not getting a room here in the future. Maintenance was great but I will not give this place my business next year.
Totally disastrous, the only good thing is the pleasant parking, everything else is very bad, I spent 3 hours waiting for the air conditioning to be fixed and they inform me that I cannot be in the lobby waiting and supposedly they tell me that it is already fixed when it is not trueI do not recommend it I know there isnt much to choose from but its better to look somewhere else before this
Our room was fine nothing super exciting about it. It was clean and comfortable. The parking garage only accommodates vehicles under 68 so it was a little anxiety for us in a truck it fit but still lower than normal. The elevator was sketchy every time we got on I was not sure it would actually get us up or down. Next time I will book a ground floor room. Other than that it was overall a good place to stay.
This review is about the terrible music in the casino. The bar tender was friendly, the drink was great but I had to leave because the music feed gave me a headache. Not relaxing at all. Very bad mix of country music. I asked if it could be changed because I usually would spend hours in a beautiful location like that playing video poker. He mimicked shooting himself in the head and acknowledged it was terrible and would wear headphones if he could. We had planned to come back on another day but will instead go back to another casino. No music is better than that mess. If I had a choice I would put on some Santana, U2, John Baptised, jazz, instrumentals. Something interesting with a better flow.
Clean rooms, remember to hang do not disturb, or housekeeping will be knocking repeatedly early am. Elevators need major clean and renovation. Rooms are dated, but comfy and clean.
Nothing special. Valet parking very rude. Handicap parking far off entrance. Overall very handicap unfriendly. Restaurant prices in line with trend of high prices. Will not visit again at this particular hotel/casino. Elevator outdated and undersized
Stayed here of the frist time. The casino is one of the smaller one and staff was nice. The hotel was the worst part of the stay. the room was Supposed to have walk-in shower for handicap but its tub with Seat i have family members that has trouble lyft there leg over ther tub. they told us but None of the rooms walk-in after stating the did. Then room smelled of Marijuana for the frist two days then the next two days like cigarette smoke, i dont know if it was coming through the vents, the room was nice and clean, just that smoke smell.
Hotel and restaurants were very nice, rooms need a bit of maintenance and updating, but overall was a good experience.
Did not play any games this time, but the casino is nice inside, love the trees and waterfall. Just came to eat dinner at Claim Jumper on this trip.
The hotel definitely needs to update their room pictures on the website. They do not look anything like the rooms when you stay there. Old and needs to be updated.
The bed was super uncomfortable, so were the pillows and the chairs. Then the shower filled up the bath tub and wouldn’t drain for a long time.I also had to get switched to a different room originally because the first one smelled of smoke. The location was nice though.
I love this little resort, once you are inside you don’t need to go anywhere. Few restaurants great view of the Colorado River.
Friendly in and out. Rooms were nice and food from Guy Fieris to Hamburgers and Pizza onsite. They offer shuttles to other restaurants as well
Very elegant casino that caters to you...Great selection of restaurants
Took my daughter there 2 nights. Very nice. They also let me park my R V across the road for free for 2 weeks. I enjoy myself there.
Decent experience for the area. Not the newest selection of slot machines, but still a good selection.
Had a great time! Loved the riverview room and also the service with the employees and room staff. The casino is very nice.I wish they had music on the weekends. All that room with a nice big bar. With no entertainment for your guess. Its definitely a bummer.Thats all...
MOST OF THE SLOT MACHINES ARE DESIGNED AND PROGRAMMED TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. THE PLAYOFF IS ABOUT 7% , GIVING THE CASINO A 93% GAIN TO PAY THEIR SLOW WORKING EMPLOYEES.
The night club to your right when you come in the front down is laid back an amazing dancing music. DJ is amazing an keeps it going.
This last visit we just went to gamble for a couple hours. Only problem we had was a buffalo machine that stuck on betting all of what you put in in 1 shot, no chance to bet lower (put $50 in twice, took it all twice).Otherwise enjoyed ourselves at other machines.
I should first note that this is a hotel that I have stayed at multiple times over the years and mainly because its pet friendly and typically, reasonably priced. However on my most recent stay on January 6, 2024, I found myself very disappointed with the service that I received. On 12/03/2023, I booked a room (confirmation GNL106521410) for a Jeep event that I was organizing and told all the attendees to book there as well, just like Ive multiple times in the past. About a week before our event, one of the members informed me that he was a few months away from his 21st birthday and couldnt book a room unless he had someone whos 21 or older to have the room associated with. Of course, I agreed that he could use my name.On the day of check in, I got my room just fine and as I was trying to check-in the member in question, I was told that his reservation was nowhere to be found. After spending the better part of half an hour at the check in desk, I found that the room I got was actually his and that it was my original booking, the one I made over a month ago that they couldnt find. To this, I asked if they had any rooms available and was told yes and that I could even have the one they were going to assign to me being that it was a pet room. Only problem was, the room went from being $120 for the night to now being $235!! Thats $115 MORE to get the exact same room and in spite of the fact that the mix up was their fault. When I asked about this, the only thing they said was that they were sorry for the trouble.Ill tell you, if it werent for the fact that it was late and that I was essentially at their mercy for a room that was pet friendly, I would have just walked out and found another hotel to stay at. That said and after this experience, I dont think Ill ever book a room at the Golden Nugget again.UPDATE 01/31/24: I just wanted to add that after reaching out to the Golden Nugget regarding my experience with them, no one ever bothered to get back to me. AND, to make matters worse, I got a notification from my credit card company that I just received a NEW charge, 2 days ago and for $523.05 using my card on file. I was told it was for a purchase but of course, I havent been there in almost a month! Needless to say, I have disputed this charge.
Always love the Nugget. Its a great place to visit. I only wish they would have kept some of the old slots
My wife and I have been here a few times to dine and gamble. Good food and a nice casino. I also went for a job interview, the young lady I spoke to was very nice and knowledgeable. A very pleasant experience.
Love the fact that they give you free Flory camping for four days as long as you play but sliding the whole 14 days I was there didnt win a dime
I found the casino to be extremely underwhelming. From the outside it looks okay on the inside its very rough. Its very heavy with smoke and lots of old people. The place looks like it was built in the 70s or 80s and has not been updated since. It looks like a field day for old timers who are not willing to change. Its a great old school looking casino and has a very authentic old world look. At least they have modern restaurants below that look nice. Couldnt stand being in there more than the walk we made through then we quickly got out.
The ramp is broke to go to the water so to rent wave runners you have to go to the other hotel next door. Also there is no healthy eating options available to go or fast food. I couldnt find a place to buy a piece of fruit the whole trip anywhere. The pool was closed after the first day with no prior notice and the room was supposed to have a view of the water instead we had a view of the closed pool. Nobody to help carry bags or answer any questions.
We were able to book a very affordable room for one night, as our travels from LasVegas to San Diego was detoured for a work event and we were far too tired to make the rest of the trek. The pool, the cleanliness and great friendly service was so appreciated. We were able to access the water taxi, which is one of my greatest memories. Ive only seen those in movies. The convenience of the hotel, a short walk to all kinds of other venues was awesome
The hotel lobby was beautiful and check in/check out was great but it ends there. The room was underwhelming and DIRTY! The bathroom sink is full of rust, the shower curtain has tons of black mold, the shower had hair in it, there was garbage on the floor in the bathroom which means it wasnt swept or mopped and lastly there was old food left in the fridge. The floors are super thin so unless you have a top floor room you will hear what sounds like stomping whenever someone in the room above walks. The bed was super uncomfortable and the top sheet had a huge hole in it. I love Laughlin but the Aquarius is a far better hotel.
Super affordable. We paid $42 a nite. Free Self parking was a breeze in the parking garage. Our room was nicely furnished, clean, and updated. Bed had a variety of different pillows some firm, some soft. But the bed was VERY hard. Our room was in the West tower close to the parking garage where music played fairly loud from 9:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night. Ice makers rarely had ice, and the elevator in the West tower made some scary noise but that just added to the adventure.Great restaurants in the casino, our favorite is Salt Grass. Employees were all very nice.
Its a mixed bag. Weather minor things no towels at pool. Hard to regulate room they do have a refrigerator and coffee and it is an older so make allowances if your gamblers card is not working the way you overall a pleasant experience
Most all hotels weather Laughlin or Las Vagas. They ALL need to improve their ventilation systems. Im sensitive to smoke. Other than that. I love coming here for a little gambling and our favorite restaurant, Salt Grass. Check them out!
Efficient. Small problem with door sorted. Went to another place for concert but returned for drinks. Golden nugget was so much cheaper .
Went for dinner at Saltgrass. Fantastic meal, great service, always a treat! Menu has something for everyone!!
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay. We were looking forward to playing roulette at the table but the employees were so unfriendly that we lost our desire to play. We had a quick look around at the tables to get in the mood for the evening and were asked for our IDs, which was completely fine, but the way how they spoke to us was rude. After we showed our IDs they looked at us like we were the biggest criminals (we are 29 and 23, so old enough). Unfortunately, we no longer felt like playing in this hotel. In addition, a resort fee was charged at checkout even though it was already included in our travel price. I pointed this out to the hotel staff, they insisted on paying the fees again. After consulting with our tour operator, we were confirmed that the resort fees were included. Now they will be reimbursed by the travel agency. That was all very annoying for us.
Great value and one of the best for being pet friendly. The air conditioning in our room was nearly non-existent. At 110 plus, it was refreshing to leave asap the next morning. The casino floor and lobby were ice cold, unlike their rooms. I can not imagine staying here again if given a choice. In the lobby, they have the largest gold nugget on earth at over 60 plus pounds. That is worth stopping for a look.
A happening place for Cinco De Mayo weekend. Bands entertained inside and on patio car shows and a lot of beautiful people.
Worst hotel experience ever. Room was dirty sink still had beard hair in it shower curtain nasty with dirt. Elevator broke we were staying on the second floor and I am disabled and unable to use the stairs they don’t have a wheelchair or stair climber available and no other way to get to the ground floor. Currently stuck here until it’s fixed they said maybe a day or two.
Very nice place, room is spacious, clean and most of all comfortable. Casino very nice with friendly staff, you cant ask for better
If I could I would leave a 0 star! Our stay was one of the most horrible experiences we have ever had. We were celebrating my moms 77th birthday, only to be HARASSED by one of Golden Nuggets security guards. Not once, but 4 times my husband and dad were told that they were CUT OFF! We were constantly being watched. And the WORST PART THEY WERENT EVEN DRUNK!! Our waitress confirmed that No, you guys were perfectly fine and she further said that only the servers could cut anyone off because they are trained and if we were drunk she would have passed that information to the next shift, but she never did that because they were fine. They claimed my dad was stumbling when he cant even stand for too long without his cane. Then his cane went missing and we went to claim it they said it was a weapon. A WEAPON!!! Unbelievable, we cant even walk with a cane because its a weapon. The head security manager stepped in, but it didnt matter the security guard talked over his manager, and as he walked away, he said, I better walk away, before this turns into something bigger. After that we werent able to sleep, we were extremely stressed at how we were treated. It is day 2 and no one has reached out regarding this upsetting event. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THE GOLDEN NUGGET NOR WOULD WE RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!
Great place to gamble. Lots of low limit games and great drinks.
When to the Claim Jumper and ithe service was really good as well as the food, not enough room for dessert
Always loved the food and atmosphere. Decided to stay there. Big mistake. Room was shabby. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor by the elevator. Then told us it was out, so we had to walk down a long hall to the other elevator and then back down the hall to the room. We assumed the elevator would be repaired that day. Found out later its been down for 3 days. Still down 3 days later. Oh and the river view was a wall with the view down the right side.
Elevator was not working. They didnt even tell us at check in. Had to carry our luggage up to the 3rd floor. No apologies, no compensation, nothing. This was the last time we will stay here.
We always stay at the Riverside but Ive been wanting to try the Golden Nugget because it looks so beautiful in the inside lobby and our favorite Steakhouse is there (Saltgrass). How deceitful. Upon arriving , we couldnt figure out where to check in. Usually, you can pull up to the front, park, check in and then go to parking. However, the front entrance is Valet only and I dont even think its close to the registration desk. We had to park in the structure, and then enter the hotel/casino to find the registration desk. We were allowed to check in a few minutes early and there was not much of a wait. Once we had finished at registation, we had to make the trek back to the parking garage to get our belongings and then back through the elevators. The elevators were worn and dirty. The one to the west hotel rooms seemed like it was going to break down and the buttons didnt light up. Anyway, the hotel didnt smell like weed so that was a plus. The room was not that great. There was dried ketchup on the table and ketchup and mustard on the chair and even a piece of a hamburger on the floor. The bathroom was clean enough. But the bathroom fan ran constantly. The heater didnt have an automatic option, or it didnt work because that ran nonstop as well. The TV was small. We had to move the Kurig to another spot because the outlet didnt work. I did like the bed, it was very plush. The casino is small, but the drink service was good. The casino doesnt have any of the big popular slots, but I managed to come up 50$ and my husband hit $1000 on video poker. We probably wont stay there again but at least we tried.
Casino experience was good. It is located close to Kingman so really convenient for us. !!!😘😘
Rooms are OK at best. They do have WiFi but it is excessively slow 1 MBPS down and .65 up. Definitely will avoid in the future in favor of Harrahs or Aquarius.Update: After staying 4 nights I have decided to lower my score even more. The place is just old and they do not even try to put a new veneer on it. The shower was the best thing about this place.Watched the CEO on Fox News one night talk about how Nevada lowers its tax rate so companies can reinvest in their properties. He obviously does not practice what he preaches because some things as simple as fast internet and broken elevators obviously have not had much a level of investment whole the water feature out front appeared to be the only thing they spent money on.
Casino was nice and fun. Room was clean, but the coolest the AC could could get the room was 79 (Late at night). Most of the room was about 85. Also shower faucets were clogged up w/calcium build up. The Resort facilities were really great....the river, the beach, the river taxis, the restaurants, etc.
One of my favorite places to visit from my vacation to laughlin. Staff where nice and friendly. Free drinks when gambling
A little discouraging when you win NOTHING lost $1000 in one night and didnt get a good payout or bonus ever since I won a jackpot here I have never won anything anymore probably wont be back smh very disappointed ✌🏾
We ate at Claim jumper 😋 always good service and yummy food!
Depressing hotel and casino. Looks decadent. Expensive. Understaffed. Extremely slow wifi. Ww2 TV s.
I didnt stay in a room, but my group ate the Claim Jumper & Bubba Gumps. I highly recommend them both.
The casino itself was nice. The service was absolutely horrible. The only decent staff was the housekeeper, the check in staff and the lady in the boutique. We went to the pool, we were leaving at 10 and a janitor lady came by and told security we did not know how to read the signs. Incredibly racist towards people of the Latino community as if our money was different. We usually bring lots of family and rent 6 rooms plus for four nights every year but we’re switching. Don’t come here, the security will treat you like your existence is a threat. They even tackled someone on Saturday night. Not worth it anymore.
Not a great place old rooms im handicapped they put me in a room farthest from everything
Very disappointed, rooms are old and dirty, pool is filthy can’t get in too many bugs! Why do they charge a resort fee, hardly a resort. H20 pool bar looks like it’s been closed for years, no beverages. Used to be. Y favorite. They gave really slipped. Plumbing needs upgrade as well! I won’t be back with these NO amenities
We loved our room on the pool the best out of the other casinos in Laughlin . Loved the pool area , wish it was cleaned and upgraded a little more , great views , food is good , football Sunday is a great choice in Rush lounge , comps are really good I just wish the machines would pay off a little more . I dont win much of anything and its really frustrating cause I like the Nugget but Im not gonna put all my money in there just to lose
Was a domestic problem with guests and no one did any thing about it internet is non exist and only 10 to 26 percent so no need to hook up
Its a cute old style casino DEFINITELY NOT Vegas lol. The gift shop is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE 80 dollars for a hoodie and 50 for a PLAIN T-shirt is just COMPLETE NONSENSE. The room was old it looked like it was decorated in the 1920s the windows were FILTHY DIRTY, NO microwave, NO safety locks or NOTHING on doors for security. I paid 71 dollars plus tax and hotel fees which came out to 107 so WHY they tried to charge me ANOTHER 79 dollars I have NO CLUE but that place is NOT worth ALMOST 200 a night lol.
Wow. Thats all I have to say, just... WOW. I was going to have a friend of mine from Las Vegas join us here for my 30th birthday but they were under the weather. Regardless, it was really stinkin hot when we arrived, but when we popped inside the hotel, it was so cool and refreshing. To anyone coming to Laughlin, many of the hotels here are top notch, but if you want a nice starter palette, then start here. The gaming area is small but perfect, especially with the river views (if youre lucky enough to nab a spot), the Claim Jumper feels so nice on the inside and the whole place just feels like revisiting an old friend. Highly recommended to come here.
Very nice casino and restaurants. We visit Bubba Gumps every time we come to Laughlin
We stopnwoth our RV they have a huge parking lot!! We have fun and we won some money 💰 🤑
Loved our stay here. We had issues with our car battery and the desk staff contacted engineering and they came right away to jump out car. Very nice service. Room was great and casino was fun.
The bedrooms need definitely more clean, towels didnt look white, but that color of gray that doesnt look good at all. The carpet looks old and dusty. Not happy for the price of the room
Let me just say right at the beginning that I will not go there again. The hotel is old and needs to have some renovation done. The bathroom door from inside the bath and the door frame looked like it hadnt been thoroughly cleaned. The overflow in the sink was nasty and there werent any cups for brushing your teeth. The bed was comfortable and clean but that was pretty much it. The windows were super dirty. I know, some of you think I am petty but I do remember other places less expensive much nicer and cleaner.
Didnt stay on sight, visited via water taxi. Great games and service!
Having stayed at a number of other casinos in Laughlin that we were disappointed in, this was a pleasant surprise. It has fewer rooms and a more friendly atmosphere. Very clean, loved the intimate pool and spa area. Two great restaurants - though the food comes in massive portions for our appetites.
Excellent spot, great people, right on the river. Check out the restaurants and enjoy the river views!
Cleaner rooms than the other Casino/Hotels in town. Had fun and good restaurants. The town needs a facelift though!
Didnt stay here but my wife and I each hit 2400 dollar jackpots. Im pretty pleased with the day
One of the best casinos in Laughlin. Great food options, waterfall entrance, quick service for drinks compared to other casinos in the area
Every time I am in Laughing, I have to come eat here. Everything is good here, food, service, drinks. Cant go wrong. Highly recommended
We were very disappointed in this stay here. Our room was freezing cold, and when I tried to turn it up, the thermostat fell off the wall into my hand. We called engineering to fix it, which they did, but the next day, it was like a sauna. They had to return a second time to fix it again. We found the room to be somewhat dirty with food behind the curtain on the floor, and this non-smoking room smelled like a dirty ashtray throughout our stay. The wall lamp on the right side of the bed did not work and was loose, which seemed like an OSHA hazard to me. I think the GM should seriously think about customer comfort next time they are making capital improvements. Not only did we have a lousy experience in a comped room but also on the casino floor where we are spending hundreds of dollars and getting poor drink service and attitudes from the cocktail waitresses. As people who have spent decades as people facing employees for large Fortune 500 companies, we were totally unimpressed with this property and will not return even if we get free play. It is just not worth it when the hotel just to the south gives a much better experience to all their customers.
We had to two different rooms both were disgusting its pretty bad when you have to use their own washcloth to clean the tables off the headboards off there is hair in the bathtub one room the toilet was leaking and the phone didnt work had to clean that one too the floors were disgusting I took off my sandals only to find out that my feet became black from the dirt on the floors. they did not clean off the patio at all. Someone elses drink was outside waiting for us, I guess.Pulled back the bed sheets and bed covers a moth of flew out. Complained, we had a free three night stay checked out the same exact day. Canceled our upcoming reservations. Theres no way possible we were sleeping in that bed, totally disgusting. The room smelt like a dirty wet rag. The vents were so dirty.Oh, let me mention, the pool was not properly cleaned. It was filthy the skimmers were dirty with black mildew there was leaves in the skimmer there was bugs in a pool seen old beer cans and beer bottles in the bark around the pool behind the furniture, thats a bacteria waiting to happen if you get in that pool you can catch a staph infection for a pool thats filthy like that the front desk the response was well it is a three night complementary stay. Its totally disgusting.
Booked at 8am tried to check in at 10pm just to be told my room wasn’t ready due to nobody entering in my information when I made my reservation. Unacceptable after driving 10 hours.Rooms need some work as well they look pretty dated
Great restaurants. The hotel is filthy. We reserved two comp rooms. One for us and one for our friends. We got there a little early and had to wait until the room were ready. Our friends toilet didnt work and the air conditioning was not on when they entered the room. Our room was dirty. There was dust everywhere, a plastic fork on the floor, long black hairs on the floor of the bathroom. (Neither one of us has black hair). The beds were lumpys. Dirty window and the floor hadnt even been vacuumed. The furniture looked like it hadnt been cleaned or tended to for years. Water spots on the toilet seat, like someone gave it a cursory wipe with a wet rag and didnt dry it off. Bathroom vent hadnt been cleaned for years. The table had a water ring on it.Basically, the room was atrocious. Not sure if it was because it was a comp room, but nobody should have an experience like we had. After staying there for years, we usually go once or twice a year, this was the last time we will stay there, comp or not.
The employees stand around and talk about how awful it is to work there I just think that if its so awful to work there its probably an awful place to play
Badly needs updating,,does not even have USB ports! 10 years outdated! No chargers for electric cars!
The hotel is old and is in desperate need of renovation. Stained carpets, urine odor in pool hallway, elevator CLUNKS, and filthy carpet. When we got to our rooms, one of the toilets was not flushing, and the heat was on when it was in the 90s outside. My wife went to the front desk and told the receptionist about the problems. The receptionist acted as if it was NOT a problem. My wife was firm that, yes, it was a problem. The hotel eventually sent up a maintenance worker. He fixed the problems and stated that the HVAC system in the hotel is from the 1960s and might take a while to cool the room down. It did in about an hour. All that being said, the area in Laughlin, NV on the Colorado River with desert vistas is quite uniquely beautiful.
I only have this a 2 star because the staff leaves much to be desired. The rooms are always clean, the casino is decent, dont know about the food because the actual restaurant is always closed at 5 pm when we fry to go. The pool is dirty and they tell you that you cant bring drinks in even from their convenience store but the line for the bar is so long you literally wait 10 min for a drink. This last trip we had security coming through telling us no drinks in the pool (even told a girl across the way from us no water at the pool) lol 😆 Im telling you if alcohol got spilled in the pool it would have been cleaner than the existing water. I dont have a desire to go back honestly.
We stayed in Laughlin for a week, and we stayed at Aquarius for four days and one night at the Golden Nugget. We arrived at the hotel yesterday (12/21), and the moment we walked in, we noticed the AC was loud. We immediately called the front desk and asked if we could switch to a different room. The front desk agent was not helpful and advised us to call Engineering. Im sorry, what? We just checked in, and you gave us a room with a loud of AC, and now you want us to do your job?I eventually got a hold of engineering, and they said they would come by. However, we had dinner plans, so we permitted them to enter. We came back to the hotel 4 hours later, around 9 pm. Nothing was done, so we called again. They arrived, and he confirmed it was loud and asked if we wanted to switch rooms. It was already late, and we unpacked, so we just stayed. The sleep was horrible, and now we are driving back with less sleep—good job GNL staff for not accommodating, poor customer service, and overall terrible experience. The hotel is falling apart, and its just a sad condition. DONT STAY HERE!!!
We came to the Nugget for the weekend and encouraged some friends to come with us. Our friends paid $562 for four nights however our bill was $1092.00 for the same type of room. We ask why our rate was so much more then our friends rate were and the explanation was room rates change. This hotel has really gone down in the last couple years. Can’t give hotel play because only a few tables are open. Played craps last night on a half a table. Air condition in our room didn’t work. Only one elevator works. Restaurants are closed early. Bars closed early. You’re better off going to Harrahs I know that’s what we will be doing next time. Thanks Mary!
Two stars just being hopeful that it gets better. Drive for 12 hours straight just to get here and get told I can’t check in because the room is in my husbands name and he’s not here yet. Decide to go to the bar and get a beer and 15 minutes later I’m still sitting here with an empty hand where a beer should be. So far not so good.
The rooms were clean and maintained. There was some wear and tear but everything worked. My complaint has to do with service. The first night the power went out for 5 hours. This was out of the hotels control, at least according to the desk clerk. What was in control was how they responded. I was in town and working during the day. For some reason they have A/C systems in each room that manually have to be reset when the power goes out. The first call to the front desk said they would send someone. Two more calls 30 minutes, and then an hour later, went unanswered. Finally on the 4th call, 2 hours after the first request for A/C the desk clerk said they have techs going to each room and they would get there when they got to my floor. I explained my problem and their solution was to go to the casino or go for a drive. They refused to send someone to my room as a curtesy to restart my A/C. So we left and returned to the hotel at 10pm, and the A/C was not working. Jerry at the front desk, the only soul that would help, took matters to hand and found me someone that would be right down and true to his word they fixed my problem within 15 minutes. For the next 3 days I asked to speak to a manager and none was ever in. I asked them to call him/her and they did, but he didnt answer. I had them leave notes, and he never contacted me. I will not be staying there next year.
Another awesome casino and hotel right on the Colorado River.
Very nice rooms . Clean , nice courtyards and grounds are well kept.
This Casino has no idea how to welcome customers. It was 111 degrees outside after walking from the parking garage across facility grounds to the casino I was really parched. We asked the change lady walking by if there was bottled water anywhere and she said yes, the shop in the lobby sales bottled water but if you play on one of the slots a waiter will bring you one. We had come to gamble anyways so my wife and I sat at a machine for 30+ minutes pumping dollars after dollars into the derelict casino. We saw waiters across the casino , tried to get their attention, but finally left and swore to never go back. It’s the desert, water is a human necessity- freaking cheap skates …
The Golden Nugget shows its age a bit in the decor. The pillow top beds were the most comfortable of the places I stayed in the area. The casino is separate enough so as you do not have to walk through it and therefore most smoke smell is avoided. Claim Jumper has great food, and it was nice to have it available at our fingertips. Courtyard views are decent, although you can see into other rooms if their curtains are open.
If youre looking for some great casino action this be the place.
Crooked casino dont play here Laughlin Nevada is a scam town
The AC did not work in room and maintenance could not fix. The front desk were rude. No other room,
The Golden Nugget is the smallest, yet most welcoming hotel on Casino Drive. The rooms were conveniently located closest to the lively casino, allowing for quick access to the vibrant gaming action. Whats more impressive is the close proximity of the parking area, which makes it incredibly convenient compared to other casinos in the area. Despite its smaller size, the Golden Nugget exuded a friendly and cozy atmosphere, with attentive staff. Its a gem among the casinos on Casino Drive. PLUS they are pet friendly!
Rooms were dingy and had a faint urine smell. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Pool was small but you can still swim. Only redeeming quality was the water taxi being right outside. A lot was left to be desired but I may have had high expectations.
We like the fried mushrooms appetizer at Saltgrass.
I stayed next door at the New Pioneer Hotel. But I had dinner here 2 nights in a row!
We asked for a smoke free room which it definitely wasnt. The casino here is a joke. The table games close at 9pm. The sports book doesnt open till 11am. Only 3 places to eat which arent very good.. There were more people in the restaurant than in the casino. I decided to walk to the Aquarius and gamble where the tables are open 24/7 and sports book opens at 8am I will definitely not return to this place again.
Stayed on June 20 & 21 for a pleasure trip. On the evening of the 21st at 12:15pm we went to room and the people next to us were being very loud. We decided to wait it out.At 1:15 am still noisy so I called front desk and asked if there was a noise policy and was advised there is and they said they would send up security. Security comes up and knocks next door and on my door. The lady tells security they just got back and then the officer says these people and points in my direction ( I had my head out) called in a noise complaint. UNBELIEVABLE TACT!She said they would hold it down.At 2:30am still very noisy and my wife sticks her head out the door just as security was coming up the stairs. She tells him they are still noisy and he knocks again and tells the lady, and she just says they need to take a chill pill.So we just has to turn the fan on the AC to high and try and block out the noise.
Housekeeping comes too early to check out. We were staying another day.830-9 😡 both days. But they didnt come back to check garbage that was full and more besides. 🤷♀️I did go to the desk and let them know and was told the housekeeping manager would be notified again with this problem.
Laughlin is great, none of the craziness as in Vegas. Love the river right there.
They charge a resort fee and they dont even have wifi. When brought to the attention of their staff they claimed that there is much more than just the wifi. But couldnt tell me what that was. So I paid a resort fee for 3 days and didnt get anything for it.
Everything was expected . But with only Parking garage elevator working it was issue . And everyday we had to get a new room key
We had dinner at Bubba Gump, the food was great and the service was awesome. We sat at the bar for happy hour, had a great time chatting with others and will definitely go again.
There was a huge corner of water damage in my room. The electrical outlets didnt all work. The buttons in the elevator didnt light up. The guy who checked me in didnt activate my key card so I had to go back down with all my stuff. Room service changed my towels but thats it. There was trash in the corner of my bathroom and what looked like blood stains by the TP roller. The tables close at 2pm and dont open til 10am even on the weekends. Definitely will never stay here again.
We booked through their website since they are dog friendly and just needed something cheap. I had booked a riverside room almost 3 weeks in advance. I requested a dog friendly room. They didnt inform us that those rooms arent dog friendly rooms so we were given a different room (which we didnt have to pay for the riverside room but would have loved to have known that prior to checking in). I asked about the dog pricing and not once was i mentioned (since it is not on their website) that its almost $55 PER night. They were too busy talking among themselves to focus on us after they fixated on our dogs. Maybe its common to get charged per night for dogs. I dont know since it was our first time taking both of our dogs with us anywhere. Thats why I asked. We got charged that fee for all 4 days even though we checked out a day early and didnt get charged until days later. That we have accepted even though it would have been great to have been told when I asked about the fees. Then several days later we get charged an additional $145 and we dont know why so we have called several times and apparently no one knows anything and keeps telling us we have to speak to the manager, but we had to leave a voicemail since they dont havent answered any of our calls. Never again staying at a Golden Nugget. The lack of information even when you ask is exasperating since you will be charged extra without anyone being to give you an explanation.
Only there to gamble and eat. Both were great! Had fun.
I was looking forward to a nice get-away for Thanksgiving 2022. When I arrived, I did ask for an early check-in. The person checking me in stated she had a room, and it would cost $15 extra to check-in early. After driving 5 hours, I needed to change clothes and freshen-up a bit, so agreed. They put me on the first floor near the elevator. I walked in and the 50 years worth of people smoking in the room (its not considered smoke-free) hit me like a brick wall. The stale smoke smell was a bit overwhelming. I was shocked because I had read good reviews about the hotel online. I decided I was just a bit tired so freshened-up went out and enjoyed my day, walking the Riverfront, stopping at a number of casinos, and enjoying a great Thanksgiving meal at Claim Jumper.I went back to the room around 8:30 to turn-in for the night. However, after lying down, the smoke smell got the best of me and I got to where it was difficult to breathe. Dogs were barking in other rooms. The A/C unit went from a smooth white sound hum to a clunk, clunk, clunk every 90 seconds or so. I finally knew I was in for a night of tossing and turning, and checked-out of the room at 9:30 PM because I was not able to sleep (and at that point, they didnt have any other rooms that I could try).I definitely would not recommend this hotel - the casino is okay, but not the lodging.
We had a great stay and won a grand and headed home 👍.
Rooms were nice but no one was winning anything here. Very quiet.
I used to love this.hotel so much. It needs so much help nowadays, it makes me sad. I sure hope management/owners step up. I heard so many people voice their disappointment. Key cards wont work. Room and elevator didnt work. Help would apologize for the problem, but nothing was done. Very sad!
We all had a great time. Other family members met up with us. Total of 6 of us. Golden Nugget was very good on paying out once again 🤗. Our to go place to have fun 😉
Tightest casino I have ever been in. Dont bother gambling here!
Stinky and dingy, I cant believe we went to four casinos, and they all smelled bad except the Aquarius.Im sure this will not go in your comments, but I should go to the owner!!!!! We stayed at a different casino that was, in my opinion, disgusting ( Harrahs)
Great place to stay, to est and fun evening of dancing! Thank you!
Never stand there. Resort fees way to high for Fremont but its a nice casino. A couple nice restaurants and bars. Also a really nice pool. If your not a guest you can pay to get in if its not to full.
Just stayed here last week and I definitely would NOT recommend this hotel. Our room reeked of smoke, so much so that it made us nauseous. The mattress was so uncomfortable we actually dreaded going to bed, and pillows were lumpy. We only had hot water about half the time we were there (notified the front desk and they sent someone from maintenance but he said he could not fix it.) To top it off my husband got food poisoning the first morning we were there from eating breakfast at the Claim Jumper 🤢.
Best rooms on the strip. The casino is nicer than moth others also.
Chose GN for the pool and hot tub. But hot tub closed first night then open next day but jets didnt work. Pool heated one of the days.. lots of tiny flys/gnats by window in room. Check in was good they moved us to adjoining rooms so very accommodating. Price reasonable. Would really like a microwave in the room. Needs updating. Elevators in need of repairs only 1 working in parking garage. Need more food options especially for people arriving late.Amazing view of the river!
Took a day to get the room I requested. After that my AC literally burned up. Good thing I was in the room or it could have gotten bad🔥. Well I lost the room I requested. I had to move because the room was full of smoke. My sister had to change rooms Four times due to health and safety reasons. Four nights three rooms for me 🤬.The pool area was ok. The pool was full of dead bugs.. jacuzzi was ok? Apparently they forgot to turn down the music outside and they could not do anything until the day person arrived? And the only compensation I got was SORRY. I should at least been comped one night? The desk management is terrible...
Very nice, clean environment & especially the friendly staff. My main reason was to dine @ Saltgrass restaurant for a birthday celebration. In addition,, I really enjoyed my time spent gambling.
Myself and my daughter had a great time at the Golden Nugget, we were able to get a late, unplanned, check in. The room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge, which makes all the difference when you have little ones with you.(which we did).. the housekeeper was very nice.Thank you all, for making Easter 2023 awesome...
First thing is you have to figure out the thermostat to get the fan to come on. The whole system was off when we got to the room with no instructions how to turn it on. Secondly, none of their ice machines were working, only 2 elevators worked for the whole hotel. Although, their beds are super comfortable and the rooms are clean. Dont plan on staying there during warm weather. They only have an evap cooler to the rooms. No air conditioning.
Needs an update ASAP. Bathrooms are Terrible! Water stains, no hot water, no water pressure, none of the ice makers work on any floor, the elevators are death traps, the hallways and elevator are hot af, the pool needs a better filtration system because no one gets out to use the bathroom when its 110 degrees!
Great location and good food and gambling
Got a free trip to stay here. But it wasnt worth it. Nothing was open restaurant wise but the Smashburger at night, you dont win anything in the casino, and they even charge you for WiFi! My room was never cleaned. Elevators dont work the place is packed with college kids. The only positive was the fact you drive to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Oatman, and Vegas. Trust your gut, stay in Vegas!
They have a claim jumper, not like California restaurants but pretty close. Food was ok,, wasnt very impressed unfortunately. But theu usually are good,, different people this time working wasnt what I was expecting,, we ended up eating at In n Out down the road at a fraction of the price and everyone was full,,
The room was clean the floor was not my socks along with my bare feet were black as was my wifes. There was no carpet just imitation wood, that was a big disappointment. The house keeping needs to clean the floors every time they clean that type of room.
Nice but dated hotel, casino was nice, bartenders were quick to refill drinks, gambling was good, well within walking distance of pretty much everything!
Visited there to go to Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant but the casino had more of the games I like to play the servers were nice and you didnt have to wait long to order. I would visit again
Girl that checked us in was totally rude will never stay at the golden nugget in Laughlin,nv ever again
The Saltgrass steakhouse inside the Golden Nugget is always amazing. The staff, from hostess to bus Boys are very friendly knowledgeable and ready to help. The ribeye steaks are so tender and full of flavor. You almost never need to add the toppers like Oscar sauce or Urban cowboy, sauté mushrooms& onion are so yummy.Tonight our server Kelly was just fabulous. I asked for Gluten free bread and she was quick to offer their menu for Gluten friendly options. My husband and I love this restaurant and frequently treat ourselves to meal here. This was the 1st time I was offered the allergy menu. WAY TO GO KELLY. THANK YOU.if you are ever in Laughlin, NV. Give it a try.
This is the best hotel I’ve went to I didn’t want to leave the only bad thing was there was a guy in a red shirt and he was kind of racist he greeted white casino goers but didn’t greet us.But except that it was amazing!! Hope to go again.
We ate at the Claim Jumper! Food was delicious and the service was really good. I had the bowl of black bean chili and shared the Asian salad with my sister. Plenty of warm bread served, all of us were stuffed when we left the restaurant. I highly recommend this place!
We were here at the end of September on a Thursday night. NFL football was on all of the tvs. It wasnt crowded at all. We played some tables and a couple of slot machines. After playing for 3 hours we only lost $100. The place is clean and the staff are super friendly. The cocktail server keot the drinks flowing better than most servers at other casinos. The two table dealers we had were super nice.
Room smelled like smoke. Paid xtra 20 per night for upgrade room was dirty and thought I would have access to the river beach.restaurants have short hours, and I got charge to resort fee. Pool has algae.
I loved the location and the rooms. Great spacious and clean. There was a problem with our reservation, and they fixed it right away with no problem.
The Golden Nugget, Laughlin, is one of the best places to stay. The service is great, their staff are family-friendly, and they are always finding ways to make your stay enjoyable. They have three of the best restaurants, with great service and food.
I love this place, and constantly travel to bullhead for work all the time! Out of all the places that you can stay on the strip, I choose this one every time! The reason I do is specifically one guest attendant and her name is Theresa! She is always greeting me with a smile, and never fails to put a smile on my face! She’s recommended great meals from restaurants and fun things to do while I have the time off from work! Somebody please give her a raise!!! Not to mention, clean rooms and fun gambling!
A great deal. Everyone was very nice. Great gambling. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and heated pool in February was perfect.Claim Jumper for breakfast was always delicious and wonderful serv5
