Ordered on Doordash and was amazing! Best authentic mexican food in MKE. I said what i said!

First time ever! Will most definitely be returning. Everything about this place is beautiful! The decor, the tables, the bars. The food is fantastic and the drinks are great.

Negatives:They charge extra to use a credit card and they did not inform me until they had already taken my card and charged it.Very loud doorbell noise every time someone walks in. Rings twice.Waitress did not speak English. I had to type into her phone and the phone translated what I was trying to say.I ordered Quail with just butter and garlic. It came with a spicy red sauce that completely overwhelmed the meat.Positives:I like the murals on the walls.

Had me waiting 25 minutes for a to go order at the bar. Gave me wrong order and said it’s my fault. Never asked if I wanted another drink while I waited. Bar was sticky covered with spilt drinks and left over crumbs. Food was cold by the time I left.

The moral at this place is on the floor. The waitresses flirt with the male customers here. The mixologist doesnt know how to make simple cocktails such as Amaretto sour, Bellini, or even a Kalimotxo. Im not 100% if they speak English either.

Had Steak and Chicken Tacos and the food was hot, made to order, fresh and hit the spot. The red salsa for the tacos was some of the best that Ive tried anywhere. The price was also very good as I got 4 tacos, rice, beans, chips and salsa for under $20 including tip. This spot was amazing!

I love this Mexican seafood place. It’s so delicious and authentic. I recommend you to try the Pulpo Al Mojo De Ajo (it’s octopus and so delicious)

La Carreta is one of the Mexican restaurants in South side, to offer a variety of Mexican dishes including seafood. Waiting 20 or 30 minutes per dish and receive quality food It is the bestThe restaurant has two floors (The first floor is the restaurant with a super spacious bar and the second floor has pool tables.)open every day from 11am to 130am during the week and on weekends until 2am kitchen always closes at 12 midnight

The service was ok there were like 4 girls standing there they don’t greet you and ask how can they help you well the Food I ask for chicken enchilada dinner we’ll they gave me like half of scoop of rice the chicken was chopped into huge piece and dry as ever Farley and sauce just supper dry my container had a hole on the bottom and very flensy like if it was microwave

Im from LA. Me & My husband google this place and it was 10/10 I recommend this place for some good Mexican food. Omg the drinks /margaritas 10/10 So GOOD we tried all of them. The owner was amazing all 3 visit MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK && ETC. The waiters had great personality, good customer service. Definitely tip them they deserve it. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in town.

Shared a mixed parrillada plate for 4. Everything on it was delicious. We had 5 people and couldn’t finish all of it. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Went there on Saturday to check out the upstairs bar with some friends, the bartender that was there was looking at us very rude and kept watching us as if we were going to steal the pool table. The security guard was actually nice, and is the only reason I would give any stars to be honest. We were bar hopping in Milwaukee and heard it was a good place to go, but I probably will never go back.

The shrimp ceviche tostada is the best value in Milwaukee.

I had NEVER in my life visited this place before! I was afraid because of the location and just overall did not see myself going into a place like that... but I made an effort and exception for my best friend cousin... sweet baby Jesus was I shocked when I tried such delicious food and drinks. Food was authentic at an amazing price. I totally recommend this place to relax eat and drink. I loved the seafood molcajete, I can honestly say its better than the seafood parrillada from fat valdys.... far far better including the price.

The first time I have ever gotten warned at a Mexican restaurant that something was spicy and it actually turned out to be spicy.I go to a lot of talk that make restaurants that have extremely spicy food and eat stuff that most people cant even look at. They can meet that level.And the food in general is delicious.

The place is nice, food was ok....it took 45 min to get some luch.....put my order in 11:30am.........................................................served 12:45pm.... no Customers but me and my girlfriend at the time.....you guys need to pick up the pace..... I cant imagine if there were busy.

I wanted to try this place for the first time because they highly recommended it to me because it was the best there was but for my experience it was the opposite! I ordered carne Zamora I paid almost $25 for the order and unfortunately it is crap, supposedly carne ala Zamora should be the best meat imported from a town in Mexico called Zamora Michoacán! But this meat was flavorless and very tough and it seemed that it had already been soaking for a while in the black water it came with because the meat was very tight! I will never order from this place again!

Today I went to eat at La Careta Vieja and I really love the food, the atmosphere and especially the service. But today I was disappointed in the service because the waitress only passed by multiple times and never asked us if we had another drink because at first glance you could see that our drinks were empty. Then I waited for her and she never came back to the table and when I saw that she never arrived I sent to ask for the bill and the same problem when I took the bill the girl because she was talking did not give me a pen to sign what I did I stopped and I went without signing. I had never gone through that service

The place is spacious, it has a bay and restaurant area.The food is delicious, the portions are good.
