I always enjoy going there..it’s beautiful with the wonderful people you get to meet there..shout out to DJ spike and emeka that’s my gee..its a nice place to visit if you wana wind down after a long week..

Came here for my birthday yesterday with my friend. Customer service was phenomenal. I had the wet jerk chicken wings —delicious! Drinks were amazing as well. I highly recommend this place.

I love love love the catfish! The wings were good. It sucked that they added gratuity just to sit at the table. The vibe was great, great music. We enjoyed ourselves!

Very unwelcoming vibe. If I could leave 0 stars I would.Never have I ever felt such hateful vibes entering a business. Walked in during happy hour- first clue-there were only two people in the establishment besides the bartender. The bartender glared at the two of us like we clearly picked the wrong bar, then proceeded to walk away and start chatting with the two patrons. We should have left at that point but... instead we waited for him to finish talking, throw a tabletop with QR code on the bar without saying a single word and walk away again. I grabbed his attention to order a single shot (he couldnt be bothered to ask if my partner wanted anything). After changing the music, he poured my shot, again without a word. We sat for about 5 minutes just to see if there would be any effort made at all....(there wasnt)....so I asked for my bill and we went to another bar. I would never walk into this bar again.

NeNe a beast in da kitchen! I enjoyed working side by side receiving that hands on training in da back! Great food great ambiance! Beautiful women! Ill always come back! ZARIAH omg she can pour me up every time Im in town!

Truth is a small cocktail / hookah bar. This place was filled to capacity upon my arrival. It took a while to get to the bar because the hookahs are at the bar which means no one is leaving the bar area. There wasnt any sitting room when I arrived with my party of 3. After 15 minutes we were able to get a shot of kettle one citrus. We left immediately because there was no seating and the ventilation was none existent. The hookah took over the building. There bartender was friendly as well as there security. This was the place to be on Water street, since there was a line waiting to get in. Keep doing what youre doing Truth!

This place has a great vibe. I’ve spent multiple birthdays and special occasions at this establishment. The egg rolls are worth any commute, D.Wosé is a great cook. Macho makes the drinks strong..never that watered down nonsense. & V keeps everything running swell! Slide & you won’t regret it

Truth is an amazing place to go for a great happy hour, staff outing or just a girls night out!I took my staff out for happy hour and customer service was amazing. The bartenders and servers were extremely sweet and welcoming to me and my staff.The food was a 10/10 please go and get Buffalo lemon pepper wings. 🔥!I will definitely be back soon and I will always recommend.Me and my staff definitely appreciated the hospitality.

A really cool chill spot with chill staff. They are a little slow but once they get to you they are really nice. Team work could be a little better but not too bad. This is our second time here and I will come back.

Music was ok. You can tell how he was trying to keep up with the times but I guess since the waitresses were having so much fun, they vibed out. They could be more attentive but time flies when youre having fun.

Great spot to grab hookah and a drink. Super chill vibe with great music and a live DJ. Did not have a chance to try food, but heard it was good before a game or concert. Will return when in the area.

Last night I was trying to enter the lounge and the big fattest bold headed most disrespectful security was so nasty didn’t have the patience for me to take my ID out and my money to pay $20 at the door that he put his hands on me and pulled my hair and threw me out the door!! And I am not exaggerating and he did it in-front of the owner and he didn’t do anything. I don’t recommend going to truth longe they have no professional proper training very disrespectful no self manners highly upset and furious!!! I suggestion any other bar on water st besides this one.

This was my first time here, with one of my closest friends. First, formost when we came, in we werent even greeted properly. There was no introduction whatsoever. We decided to sit by the open window area. The floors were extremely dirty and sticky, and im assuming it was because of the fact that there was still liquor residue from the night before. The couches and furniture look like they were completely falling apart. The couch by the window that me and my friend sat on were completely broken and uncomfortable. The small tables that were available to us were also extremely dirty. The waitress slash bartender looked extremely miserable working there, I mean hus manager wasnt being a manager. It took about twenty five minutes for us to get our hookah. We did get our rounds of first drinks. However, due to the fact that the waitress was taking a while to bring our hookah. The so call manager was chitchatting with her friends didnt even bother to ask if we need a second round, or if needed anything else. She wasnt being a great manager or hostess. You were able to see garbage all underneath all of the booths and tables. Although, I have order wings and food from here, before and it was delicious. Thats what convinced me to come here, i was truly disappointed. I really hope the owner can see that this place has potential, but cleanness is very important, having allotted staff there, to be able to possibly seat and make sure that your customers are being attended to. And personally, I feel you need a more responsible and diverse manager.

Owner was very ignorant tonight, one of his bottle girls said we can smoke in there and confirmed it and they kicked us out.

I had Preeminent experience at Truth. The bartender El Macho or Nacho was amazing. All the drinks was great. It 0 wait times, he constantly updated me on my food order. I highly recommend especially when a Nacho or Macho is working.

Stopped in for a few rounds before an event at Fiserv. Bartender would not serve us as she was spending time with friends, so a waitress had to. We were charged for doubles, were given singles, and the bar did not honor their happy hour specials. Staff was extremely rude when we asked why we were charged more than what the specials were. Sat with empty drinks for roughly 30 minutes before we eventually paid cash and left. Stay away from this place, other bars are much better in the area and will not rip you off.

This was a very chill spot with great music and strong drinks. Our bartender was friendly and very helpful! He even took a shot with us on the house 😉

Everything about Truth is a 10/10 for me! The music is great, food is delicious, the service is excellent and the staff is always so welcoming. Macho, the bartender is the BEST as well as the manager Vee. A guaranteed good time.

Went on a Saturday night. $20 door charge for me AND women. Small venue. Music was loud for a small space. On duty police inside and out. I left and went across the street with no cover charge and bigger drinks

I was at truth lounge and macho is very knowledgeable and very attentive, you’ll never want for anything as long as he’s assisting. 10/10 highly recommend! He earned every cent of his tip! Will be back!

Im all for COVID compliance but I had to pay a $10 cover charge to be told i couldnt leave from my seat unless it was to go to the bathroom. The music was extremely loud considering you cant get up to dance so my table couldnt even hold a decent conversation. Not being able to actually go to the bar, we were left to the mercy of a waitress. We waited about 10 minutes to be able to put our order in. Another 10 minutes waiting for our drinks. At this point I was ready to leave but I had ordered some wings. The wings and fries were excellent by the way, if I was only reviewing the food it would be 5 stars. I found another waitress to find my waitress to tell her I was ready for the bill and to make my food to go. She came around about 5 minutes later and I gave her my card. After 10 minutes or so we had to tell another waitress that I needed my card back and I was ready to leave so I wanted my food. The bartender brought my card to me shortly thereafter, which led me to believe she had just left my card at the bar even though he said that wasnt the case. Our original waitress finally came about 5 minutes later with the food. Another problem was they added a 15 percent gratuity to our bill even though the menu says that is only added to tables with bottle service. I didnt feel like wasting more of my time so we left without further complaint. Ended up going to The Gig and had a great time there.

Don’t come here if you wanna feel discriminated against. The guy at the door tells me I can’t come in with a white tshirt as he proceed to let a crowed of people with white T-shirt’s and Jordan’s on in. If y’all don’t want gay masculine presenting women at this place just say that. Don’t lie and gaslight the situation. This place is anti LGBTQ+

I came here with my best friend. This was are first time here. Great vibes very classy and upscale lounge for a younger crowd. My friend and I was way too old for the crowd. Overall the staff provided excellent service. We had a great time enjoying our drinks and barbecue wings. I will most definitely recommend Truth Lounge to my son who is in his twenties.

I had The worst experience on my birthday I paid $259 for a reserve table and bottle. And when I got there no one had a clue about my reservation. And had to wait outside for 20 minutes. Until they figured it out. It was quite embarrassing. I would never go back to this place nor would I ever book a party here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I actually would like to talk to the manager.

Although the atmosphere is great, they automatically add gratuity if you order drinks from the table and they neglect to mention that before serving you. I paid $32 for two drinks it was the Ghost drink on the menu named after the Power Characters from the show which was $13 a glass. The glasses are way too small for the prices that they charge its robbery at its finest.

Terrible experience for out of town guest if you don’t buy a bottle they will kick you off a table. If you come to Milwaukee don’t go to truth.Brownstone if you like a vibe or prime social if you like good bottle service and feel like V.I.P.. truth Over price water down drinks. Sorry if I’m spending money I deserve good service.

Tried to go in there and come to find out that i am bandit from there for no reason

The manager is very very very rude and disrespectful on Friday March 5, 2021. We bought 4 sections and the manager kept talking to one of my guest rudely because she was moving within our sections. The manager was talking like we are her middle school students. Then she had security watching every move we make. We spent over $1000 and buying bottles & food. They kicked us out because we was moving around within our 4 SECTIONS WE PURCHASE. I dont understand selling sections and coming to the establishment, everyone must find a seat. I WOULD recommend that you dont go to Truth Lounge. Spend your hard earn money elsewhere.

Truth Lounge since its opening has always been a laid back spot with affordable drinks and a young chic crowd. Some of the bartenders have great hospitality the owners (E&S) are some of the most welcoming owners who most of the time play great host to customers. Their Weekend Security (K.O. Security) is professional with good customer service. I would recommend the place to all of my friends as I have invited a lot of my friends.

The truth lounge is an excellent place to go! Great drinks, good wings, very custom type of feel as it has an “Classy Street” type of feel that gives you the feeling of being comfortable in the town you grew up while also drinking higher end style beverages. The live DJ was okay, the music could be less mainstream, atleast the few nights I went with my friends. How ever, mainstream is what’s big in pop culture so it is the ideal style music to play. I had a great time!

Was very surprised when I came here. Bartenders were quick with their service and gave off a very positive vibe. Drinks were moderately priced. Seating is limited but the booth i was in was very comfy. It is very well lit and was very clean. They offer food & hookah, neither of which I partook of during my visit but they looked great from what i could see. It is a bit loud for a lounge setting (you cant really hear ppl talking) but it had a very nice atmosphere. I only wish it was bigger.

I went there once after a bucks playoff game. Overall I liked it. It’s one of the few places on water street I can find the urban experience and with a classy feel. My only complaint is it’s small and the drinks are pretty pricey for the size .

2 night was not a good look. Place wasnt crowed and owner would not let anyone in. I can see me fine, but there was 3 beautiful women outside. Waiting 35min and they was part of the party. This evening giving them a 1

I usually go to Truth Lounge for first Friday happy hour to support fellow podcasters. It’s usually a nice crowd with good music. Cameron is by far the best bartender. I’m always having a good time when he’s mixing my drinks. Tip Cameron.

Cool place to go during the day for cocktails & food with a layed back atmosphere & hookas are available!! The night crowd is very club like if your looking for some decent night life during Covid 19! Just need to have more bartenders during the night... It takes a while to get a drink when its crowded! Overall good experience

Where do I start?! We had a lot of fun the two other times we were here but this time was atrocious. Waited 20-30 min for a drink even tho there was only one other table. I felt discriminated against cuz we were dressed up to the nines but they made us feel out of place. It was blatant that they didn’t want to serve us. Unfortunately it was the only hookah place close and had our heart set on it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First time here and I’ll never be back. The guy behind the bar look like he hated his job and I even asked if he was having a bad day. Me and my friend waited an hour for a FOUR PIECE each., we eventually got our money back and one worker gave us a free shot but I will never be back

Lemon pepper wings with seasoned fries were a winner. I will order that again. Music was good. Just wished they had a dance floor.

It is a nice place to have a drink and listen to good music.The drinks are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and responsive. I wish it and the womens bathroom were bigger.

Was my spot but waaaay too many youngens in the crowd these days (especially under 25) and outsiders thinking they run the place. Ones that arent even old enough to be there 😒 Hopefully they find somewhere else downtown to go soon.

Here in The MIL visting, and as tired as I was, the energy that this place gave off from the door to the DJ to the bar to the patrons.. Were well worth it. DJ Cheerio (I guess thats how Ill spell it) was amazing!

Today had to be a bad night waiting for a drink for 15 minutes and watching the bartender struggle by herself while trying to get assistance from the other individual who was on the phone and given all excuses to not help.
