She was so good- Kenna explained the process as she went - she ha great hands- soft where needed - the products used were fantastic- I have incredibly sensitive skin and my face is very happy!!!Highly recommendUpdate to above: Kenna followed up with me a few days later to see how my skin was- love this kind of service!!!

Went here for the first time to have a microneedling treatment done, and it was a great experience! Pema was so thorough, and really made me feel like I was in good hands. She was able to answer all my questions, and offered some great personalized advice specific to my skin concerns.

I had an amazing experience here! My face is very very dry and almost every product burns my skin. My aesthetician, Kenna, was super helpful and made sure to give me products that would be soothing for me. I even got a neck massage which was amazing. I got amazing products from the place. The microdermabrasion with Pema was great. After talking about my skincare history and analyzing my skin more closely, Pema started the treatment. The bed in the treatment room could make the grumpiest of grumps fall asleep and Pema was wonderful. My skin is glowing. Thank you for doing such a nice job and for the recommendations. Love Pema! I had read the glowing reviews online and booked a double appointment for myself and my sister, both with Pema, thinking we wouldnt mind waiting if she took such good care of her clients. Not a single regret and were coming back again in a month for our next double.I booked the microneedling service and although I was bright red like a monkeys butt throughout the evening, the next day the redness had faded to a barely noticeable level. Compared notes and pictures with a friend who got microneedling at a different spa, and whereas my skin was nearly spotless and healing well the next day, my friends skin was barely red the first day but had clear marks and bruising the second day. Really speaks to Pemas gentle and even touch and extraordinary level of skill.My sister had booked the Bliss PLUS and told me she counted every single extraction (ouch), but the next day the redness was also completely gone. Pretty impossible to do extractions with no pain, but I dont think Ive ever gotten a facial without at least some redness or bruising the next day... again many thanks to Pemas skilled touch!Cant wait to come back after the microneedling sessions and experience some of her other facials!

Great spa! I had a dermaplaning facial with Ashley which was relaxing and great. I don’t think the dermaplaning was done with a medical grade scalpel but still a good experience.

That was an amazing massage! The hour flew by unnoticed! It was my first visit to Ruslan, and I have no regrets about choosing this professional.

Definitely choose to go here for a facial. Over the years I have gone to one place or another. There was always something lacking. (One place with a good technician but rather dank , another place that is clean and nice but lacking motivation and skill on the part of the person doing the facial. Etc etc.)Pema the owner of Penspa is PERFECT. She obviously is very knowledgeable and cares about doing her best for your skin. I decided to get a facial on a whim for my birthday in the summer. PemSpa is super relaxing and Pema is great. Shes communicates well what shes doing, gives helpful advice on how you can improve your skin and will recommend a product if you need it in your skincare routine, but isnt pushy if youre happy with what youre already using. My skin always looks great after the balanced bliss facials and isnt irritated even with extractions. Historically, Ive gotten a facial once every few years, but its been such a great experience, Im making them a regular part of my skincare routine with Pema.

I went to see Pema at PemSpa after my consultation with her about my skin issues that I was facing. The Spa was very well kept, clean and organized. Since this was my first time getting a facial, Pema put me right at ease by answering my questions about the facial and how itll benefit my skin. I got the microdermabrasion facial and it was very relaxing. Pema took her time with massaging and cleansing my skin while also explaining each steps of the facial she was doing. My skin felt clean, smooth and was glowing after the facial. I am one week post facial at Pemspa and my skin has never felt better. My skin absorbs moisturizer better and no more dry spots on my face! Also, my skin is less oiler compared to before doing the facial. Upon Pemas recommendation, I also ended up purchasing few skincare products and I love them. I’ve loved my treatments at PemSpa!Pema is awesome. She’s knowledgeable and gives advice without any judgment. I’ve had a couple services so far, including the bliss facial, which is super relaxing. Every time I leave, I feel refreshed and relaxed and my skin is glowing. The spa itself is super cute and comfortable and there’s on-street parking right out front. Pema and Boris are really invested in their clients and go out of their way to be available to answer questions about skin care regimens. After my first appointment, I made a mistake and over-tipped. Pema reached out to ask me if it was a mistake and Boris credited my account. Amazing service and overall experience!

At the ripe age of 31, I thought I would treat myself to my first facial, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that I chose to come to PemSpa! I booked a Balanced Bliss facial, but after taking a look at my skin’s needs, Pema recommended a Resurfacing Peel facial and I’m so glad I trusted her; I woke up this morning and my skin is absolutely glowing. Pema is the consummate professional: she walked me through the process clearly, was honest but kind in her assessment of my skin’s needs, and never pushed unnecessary additional services or products. I’ll be back in a few weeks — and I PROMISE I’m working hard to stop touching my face!!

When I wanted to do something special for myself, the price promotion and very good reviews at PemSpa made my choice very easy. My day of appointment started very hectic and I even weighted in to cancel my appointment altogether, but happy that didn’t, just was 10 minutes late. The relaxing atmosphere of the SPA and Pema’s warm greetings completely changed the flow of the day. The procedures were very comfortable and relaxing. I’ll definitely follow Pema’s advices on the skincare. Already booked a follow up.

I came to PemSpa to do my facial on the recommendation of a friend. I was charmed by a pleasant atmosphere as soon as I entered the Spa. I came after doing a lot of home updates over the last 3 days and I really needed a boost. Pemas facial was exactly what I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Her gentle touch going from one application to another made my skin radiant and glowing. I wanted to stay on a cozy bed under the led light forever. It was an affordable treatment, my face felt like velvet and I slept like a baby all night. I look forward to going back to my next visit.

I went to Pema to get into a better routine prior to my wedding, and she is wonderful! Unlike some other skincare professionals, she was not pushy at all - I feel like a lot of places convince you to do expensive treatments that you might not need, but Pema was upfront about what would have the most impact for me and what was not worth it. She also recommended several products - I was always intimidated by retinol, but Pema explained to me exactly how to use it and what to pair it with, and my skin has been loving it.

The spa is clean, which I rank of the utmost importance. I’m a nurse and sanitation matters a lot to me. Pema is super sweet and was patient enough to answer all of my questions about the facial I was receiving. She explained the ingredients in products and their purposes during the process. She was gentle and knowledgeable, I left with many skin tips and a nice clean glowing face. Will be returning for more services very soon.

Loved my Balanced Bliss treatment! I have never gotten a facial before, and this was a great first-time experience. The vibe was completely relaxing, and it was definitely what I needed to close out my week. Pema is simply the best!! Ive been for two facials so far- the microdermabrasion facial and balances bliss facial. Both of my experiences were very positive and relaxing. I haven’t gotten a facial in a long time and I’m glad I came here to get reintroduced to it! Pema is absolutely wonderful in her people skills, she made me feel relaxed and open as soon as I walked through the door. Shes very knowledgeable in her craft. I had a deep cleaning and Balanced Bliss Signature facial at PemSpa. Pem was super nice and friendly. She did not schedule appointments back-to-back so I did not feel being rushed and she was patient in answering questions I had about my skin care. Coming to PemSpa for the first time was a great experience. I received a Balanced Bliss facial with Microcurrent Eye Rejuvenator. Pema treated my skin with great care and she asked me a lot of thoughtful questions in order to provide me with expert analysis of my skin. I have post-inflammatory acne scars, occasional blackheads, and some ongoing acne (much fewer though now that I’m in my late 20’s). She was spot-on about these issues and some potential causes. I was surprised to learn that my skin is combination instead of oily/acne-prone! Of course, I knew my skin as dry due to the fall weather, but it made complete sense to me.She suggested I change my Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser to a more hydrating and gentle cleanser, which I did implement to great success. My skin has fewer dry patches when I put makeup on! Using a gentle cleanser has also surprisingly been good for my acne, which has slowed down. I guess I was stripping my skin of its natural oils using strong cleansers, so it was producing a lot more oil in response. Pema provided me some other great suggestions for skincare items, which I plan to slowly integrate in my routine.Pema has great bedside manners, is very friendly and personable, and ensures a Bliss-FULL spa experience!  I have already booked more services for my scars (microdermabrasion and peels) because of how great PemSpa is. I love to see a woman- and minority-owned business flourishing!

Pema was amazing! She was so patient with me and understanding. I did the microneedling series and the lines around my eyes became softer and the size of my pores became smaller after two treatments. I drove my wife for a facial at PemSpa at the corner Commonwealth Ave and Centre St. in Newton. After waiting for her to be finished she convinced me, a 70 year old guy who never had a facial, to try it. It was refreshing, I came out of it with a youthful glow on my face, relaxed and smiling. The treatment room was clean with relaxing music playing. After Pema started my treatment I noticed her strong fingers moving over my face in rhythm to the ambient music, something Pema said she was not aware of. My wife and I are recreational folk dancers and moving to music is something we do frequently. Having Pema’s gentle fingers move over my face during the different steps of the treatment was a new kind of dance I have not experienced before. I’m sure in addition to being a excellent aestheticist, Pema would be a natural dancer. I would recommend a facial at PemSpa to all, including guys like me who never had one.

I went to see Pema and ended up getting the back facial and deluxe dermaplane facial. I’ve never had a back facial before but I feel like I’ve been missing out on life! It was so relaxing and felt AMAZING. I can’t see my back but it definitely feels great! The dermaplane facial was also great. My skin hasn’t felt this smooth in a long time and it was just what I needed to relax and get my skin back on track after not taking care of it throughout covid. At the end Pema went over what she saw with my skin and recommended products and services that would help maintain my skin going forward. I had such a great experience and can’t wait to come back!

I got an Advanced Microneedling facial treatment with Pema, she is very knowledgeable on her profession and always courteous, professional and thorough the whole treatment with me. Pema commented where needed and where not, she let me enjoy the relaxation. And thats another point. Before I thought that massages are typically relaxing, but a facial? There was SUCH relaxation after the procedure that I wanted to doze off.All in all, this is a neat new business in Newton Center, with a highly experienced, young professional. I recommend trying it at least once. I will be back!

I’ve had very therapeutic and efficient experience at Pemspa. My skin concern was dry skin…she knew how to treat it well. We discussed about how to target that concern especially going forward in the cold winter ahead of us. Over all my experience there was very welcoming and warm. I’m looking forward to going back soon.

I am very familiar with Pema’s work and went to see her regularly when I lived in Boston (I am in California now). I was visiting Boston last week and I called her to book a facial. When she told me she opened her own place, I couldn’t wait to try it!Parking was easy right in front of the building and it was so cute and comfortable inside! I was not sure the next time I would be on the East Coast, so I got the balanced bliss facial, microdermabrasion and a chemical peel. She has done these on me in the past many times before and it was so wonderful to experience again. I actually also tried the LED for the first time and it was very nice.Today is my 6th day after the peel and I am very happy with the results. I feel fresher and like I am glowing. I am not surprised. Pema is very attentive to details and I cannot recommend her enough. She made me feel fully taken care of. I rebooked for November when I am back in Boston again.Thank you so much for your hard work!
