Ive started going here for my monthly massages and I love it. Clean place. My masseuse (May) is excellent. She is very caring and responsive to the customers tolerance for pressure. I have quite a few pain points (lower back, calf muscles..) and she does a great job of massaging and relaxing the muscles around these sensitive points.

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and wonderful! My 3rd time here: I did whole body twice and reflexology once.. I brought my fiance this time for whole body massage and he loved it. For the price.. I say its well worth it. Definitely will being coming back at least once a month.

For the last several years I have been getting massages here and loved the people, massages, etc...Recently, the business changed owners. The last massage I had I was asked to leave a $30 tip for a 90 minute appt. Sadly, I wont be going back. I do not appreciate being told how much I should tip. Now its back to finding another massage spa!

I used to really enjoy going here. It is still a nice massage, however, the pricing is very sketchy. There are discounts regarding if you pay with cash or if you’re a first time customer that are advertised on Facebook and the website that they do not honor. Furthermore the language barrier is impossible to navigate when an issue does come up. We had to hang around while three people face timed the owner just to try to have a conversation amongst each other. Places like this are everywhere, I do not find this spot to be all that special anymore.

I had a great service, but why do I feel guilty for only tipping 25%? Nobody demanded more, but the tipping sign suggests expectations of 30-40%. Also, pricing was deceptive. The website says a $60 service is based on credit card prices and that there would be a discount for cash, but when I went to pay I was told cash price was $60 and if Id paid with a card it would have been $64.

I went to a friends house. The journey is quite tiring. I have back pain. The 90 minute therapeutic massage left me feeling more relaxed. Thank you Mei for recommending this place.

I think it’s not a good way to start a new business without close the stuff of the prior owner . It’s not possible that we need to get crazy to call Groupon cause the new business doesn’t accept the Groupon that we bought . It’s some that the business should deal with.

It was easy to make an appointment and they were accommodating. I did a couples massage with a friend and the room was nice. The guy who checked us in was rushing a bit but the massage overall was good. I’m not sure what oil they use but have a preference to almond oil. I wish the masseuse could tell me what she was doing because all I felt was someone on top of me (at one point she was!) and pushing really hard. I told them I had a breast implants (medical reason). The price was good & massage was mostly enjoyable.

Second time there and I am telling everyone about it. They have specials posted on their website; found one this week that included a 30-min foot massage for the price of an hour long bodyworks. Tony was my message therapist and he was amazing! I cant speak highly enough of the experience. He was thorough and hitting all the sore spots and spots i didnt even realize were tense. I will definitely be back and will be asking for him!

My wife and I got a couples massage! It was a good massage for the price we got, but the massage did differ from masseuse to masseuse. Mine was vocal and made sure my pressure was right, while my wife’s was more intuitive to what she needed and did not speak to her much. The basement level spa is good for no road traffic noise, and was easy to find. Easy parking as well. Over all it was a very calming experience and it makes me want to check out their foot massages next!

Have been going to this place since it opened in 2021, and finally come around for a review. I used to go to Massage Envy, Elements Massage, and other massage establishments in the Brookline/Newton area on a weekly basis, but I have switched to Cypress Foot Spa for good. First and foremost, its a honest 60 minutes with a great price. Unlike other places which gives you only 45 minutes or 50 minutes for 20% more money, and if you are 5 minutes late, you get 5 minutes less time. Cypress honors full 60 minutes, and always with a smile even if I was late. The receptionist is friendly and accommodating, and appointments are easy to book, usually within the same day for me. The place is very clean and calm with aromatherapy in the air. The masseurs skills are very even, and owner told me they are recruited from the same Tuina massage school in Flushing, NY. Jimmy, Julia, Emma, and Owen are my favorite. Tuina is a form of Chinese styled deep tissue massage, and some masseurs might mix in Thai massage skills which incorporates lazy yoga in it. They also include a Hot Stone massage which other places charge more for it. If you like softer type of massage like Swedish Massage, tell the receptionist to skip the Tuina pressing portion in the beginning and go straight to oil massage. All and all, this place is A+++ for me, and my weekly visit is a necessity for my good health.

I just went this afternoon after a recommendation. I can be picky with massage therapists. My massage therapist here exceeded my high bar. Absolutely incredible massage!!! I had a bunch of knots before but I feel like jello now- in the best way. Just give it a try. I already scheduled for another session in two weeks!

My fiancé came here a few times now and he thinks Owen is a great deep tissue massage therapist. He applied the perfect amount of pressure and helped relieve a lot of knots. Keep in mind that if you don’t like deep tissue, you have to be verbal and tell them you want a soft/“relaxing” one.FYI- My fiancé was not a fan of Jimmy; way too rough and he had back pain afterwards. I had the therapist Yo-yo and thought she was 6/10 (above average, but not extraordinary). Some people have written great reviews on people that we personally didn’t like. Everybody is different. Try for yourself and keep trying until you find one that’s the best fit for your massage preferences. Everyone here has been the nicest most humble people.I do have to say the customer service here is OUTSTANDING. When we told them our complaints, they made sure to listen to our feedback and made things right. Customers come first here. I am impressed and will continue to support this neighborhood spa. Please keep in mind that this is not a fancy spa by any means. It’s located in the basement level. They get the job done for a very affordable price. They do have good specials, like $104 for a 1hr couple massage. Just call and ask!

Wonderful people here! But it’s important to tell your masseuse what you want, otherwise you can come out in pain from an overly firm massage. (I learned this the hard way!) I always express my needs before starting now, so I’m rarely disappointed. (But some of the gals don’t speak English.) Not terribly expensive, and a great value.

This place just opened and offers a solid, highly affordable massage. I was able to get a 60 minute, full-body massage for under $60 (pre-tip). It was cheaper to just book directly than via groupon. Given the price ill probably go back whenever I am feeling stressed and have a spare hour

Awful! Would not EVER go back!It started okay, the spa was beautiful, nice fragrance in the air, lovely relaxing music playing, my girlfriend and I undress and get on the tables to get ready for our massages, the masseuse’s come in and ask ZERO questions. I’ve been to lots of spas and the same questions are always asked, “Do you have any medical conditions, allergies to certain oils/fragrances or preferences to what’s used, what areas should we focus on and what areas should we avoid”. They asked nothing.My girlfriends experience was good but not great. Her masseuse never touched her feet during the time. Mind you this is labeled as a spa and “foot” spa.My experience however was atrocious. The man who was my masseuse, used such force that I was tearing up. I had to ask not 1, not 2 but 4 times to please go softer and not use so much pressure. I have fibromyalgia and cannot handle deep tissue. He massaged on top of the towel (so rough and scratchy) for a solid 25 minutes before finally moving the towel away and grabbing oil. He then seemed to be rushing. His hands were extremely rough, felt like sandpaper and there was no technique being used, he simply pressed hard and fast up and down all over my body. When he wasn’t doing that, all he was doing was using his elbows and digging deep into my muscles, no movement, no massaging just straight down. That continued all over my entire body. Just weird, awkward, painful pressure.He then climbed ON TOP of me, sat his knees into the back of my thighs and put his entire body weight into his elbows into my back and shoulders. When he wasn’t sitting on me, he was hovering his entire body over mine, with his full body on the table with me.The package included hot stones, we experienced LOVELY hot stones, for a solid 45 seconds.When we were walking out of our room, to get ready to leave, the front desk associate asked for a tip, brought out his venmo and sort of, pressured us for a tip. He then followed us out of the spa and kept repeating that the tip never went through until finally it did. Super uncomfortable, super unprofessional.Will never return.IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT: “I” received a foot massage, my girlfriend did not. The service I paid for was an hour long FULL BODY WITH HOT STONES. Your feet are part of your body and therefore should have been addressed for both myself AND my girlfriend. However, we are both in such an incredible amount of pain today from this experience, your “free couples massage” you offered will never be taken. I will have to go to the chiropractor several times, as well as a spa with experience to reverse the damage done by your “spa”.I didn’t just receive deep pressure, you hurt me. Immensely. The fact that I had to tell you 4 times to ease off is outrageous. My girlfriend did not receive the same treatment I did, so your argument is invalid.In response to you defending the front desk associate following us out of the establishment, a tip is not required, it is optional BASED ON SERVICES PROVIDED. You absolutely did not EARN a tip and even if you had, the second I was demanded for a tip, I would have retracted it. The service was PAID IN FULL before we came to the establishment, so there was no reason to be followed out of the property and harassed to give a tip.As far as the hot stones, they were still hot when the 45 seconds ended. If you specifically state that it is a hot stone massage, 45 seconds of the hour is not sufficient. They are hot for far longer than that.Defending your staff (or probably yourself) is not going to work here.UNPROFESSIONAL.

Worst massage experience everUPDATE:Herniated disc from unannounced crawling onto my back with knees and Elbows. Dr visit scheduled. What a nightmareTheres a review from about 4 month ago from a young lady that explained in detail of her experience. SAME. I had a hard time explaining just how bizarre the experience was. She hit the nail in the head. Nothing about it was Massage like. 20 min of over towel scratchy aggressive rubbing to then move on skin without enough oil aggressive forearm and elbow rubbing. With no rhyme or reason. Leaving bruising and a raised red rash. Annoyed angry and in pain

Jimmy and Julia did an awesome massage, my husband and I enjoyed our 60 bodywork minutes with hot stones very much. We will definitely come back.

Seems my review was removed !So this was our first ever massage we didn’t know what to expect nor if that was how it was supposed to go but after speaking to multiple people we learned that they have never experienced such “massage” as we did , This was FAR from a massage nor was it relaxing we have been in pain since ! They dug their elbows into our backs pretty much the whole time repeatedly over & over in the same spots , It was so bad that me & my partner have terrible bruises on our back !

I have my experiences with massages and the person who did mine here didnt seem to have professional massaging skills at all unfortunately. But the front desk person was very nice and the place was clean.

Dangerous place for your bodily health. They climb on top of you unannounced, they use extremely intense force and speak little to no English so they cant take feedback. Seriously, please avoid this place.
