First let me start off by saying the cleanliness and ambiance was great! As soon I walked in the aroma was relaxing! Now, my massage from Michael was wonderful, when I say I was slithering out the door. I mean that! I did a 80 min massage this past weekend and it was amazing. I felt so relaxed, comfortable, relieved and refreshed. I’m very particular in my massages! I even waited a few days after to do my review to see how my body would feel and I’m still very relaxed not sore .. nothing! Michael is the bomb, professional, and customer service was great also. I even booked my next appointment right after! Please check them out! You won’t regret!

Amazing massages! After many decades of chronic muscle pain and spasm, I have never felt better. I have experienced a broad skill set with high quality technique in a low key, reasonably priced, professional environment. Trained therapists who utilize cupping, , deep tissue massage, lymphatic massage, stretching with the experience of working on professional athletes and the knowledgeable use of scrapers, bands, and other essential tools. Sacred Spa provides an efficient and extremely effective massage experience.

My experience was subpar. I tried to resolve this with an email to the owner, but I haven’t received a response.I requested an appointment with Michael based on his reviews, and I did not receive information that he would be unavailable. I would have appreciated advance notice and an opportunity to reschedule. When I arrived the owner led me into the room, and I did not even receive the name of my massage therapist.I found it hard to relax because of multiple interruptions during my massage including a knock on the door and confusion about the length of my massage (the massage therapist stopped at 60 minutes even though it was an 80 minute massage).The massage itself was a lot of stretching and it took multiple requests for my desired focus areas to be treated.As I changed clothes after the massage, the therapist knocked on the door but didn’t wait to answer…she had inadvertently taken my keys (which is odd because they were inside of a basket with a lid) and I was half naked when she entered the room. Very uncomfortable and not at all conducive to post-massage relaxation.Ultimately, the experience fell short of my expectations. It’s a shame because my younger sister surprised me with a gift certificate after a difficult time and I was really looking forward to the experience.

Went in for a last minute prenatal massage. I was able to make a same day appointment online so I appreciate the ease of the website for booking. Mike was my masseuse and I let him know that I like a good amount of pressure. Unlike almost every other massage I’ve had Mike did not disappoint. He was able to apply a consistent firm pressure. I was also pleasantly surprised that the massage table had a cut out so pregnant people can lay on their stomach. This was a game changer since I haven’t been able to lay on my stomach for months!! This was for sure the best prenatal massage I’ve had thus far. I also spoke to the owner after my massage and learned more about the high quality products they use such as the Sacred Earth oils which are vegan and lanolin free. Definitely recommend giving this spa a try.

6/2/24- Update -We received a call from the owner the next day after my review was posted. She apologized for the staff not adhering to the massage requests; explained challenges and efforts to streamline intake processes; and explained the male masseuse does have asthma.———Booked a power couple massage (Mon, May 27th, 2024) for my boyfriend’s birthday. Room was cute and ambiance was nice.Concerns for consideration: Upon arriving to the spa, I had additional paperwork to complete along with my boyfriend (not an issue). HOWEVER, I specifically circled “no” to having my glutes massaged. Prior to my appointment, I also completed my intake online and specified the areas to be worked (glutes was not included for me). During the massage, my male masseuse worked on my glutes!!!My boyfriend was verbally asked if he wanted his glutes worked on; he said yes. He reported to me that his female masseuse didn’t work on his glutes at all.Mistakes happen; but the fact that the information was literally communicated in multiple forms, and yet not followed, is an issue.What was far more bothersome for both of us (and questionable) was the heavy breathing/panting that was occurring from the male masseuse while doing my massage. It was relatively distracting as I found myself questioning if he was aroused?! At some point, my boyfriend shared he even looked over to see what was happening because it was a bit disconcerting.Again, sorry to him if he has asthma or any other breathing impediment; but, something for consideration.All in all, the massages were great. Boyfriend tipped each masseuse $5 before we debriefed our experiences; ultimately, we decided to lean on the side of the benefit of a doubt. Please, please, make said adjustments. Not doing so is super problematic (and fortunately for me, did not result in a trauma-related responses).

Highly recommend for lymphatic drainage, massage, stretching and reflexology. I mainly was looking for lymphatic drainage because I felt I needed a more routine practice from a professional outside of my normal self-care lymph drainage. I found Caroline and she is a treasure trove of knowledge and healing practices! She is committed to a mastery-level understanding of the many healing practices she offers and the mechanics of the body. Caroline combines this with her intuitive knowing of each client to ensure they receive what is best for their best healing and their movement into the parasympathetic nervous system. Caroline is a gifted healer and Im so grateful to have connected with her! Juana is also an incredible healer as are Im sure the rest of the staff, I just havent experienced everyone. Thank you!

The front desk staff were so nice and accomodating. Juana, my massage therapist was on POINT. She communicated with me the whole time about pressure and feeling. I did the 60 min slimming massage and then added on 30 min of wood therapy bc I wanted it all! With these lymphatic type of massages, you will feel a little sore the next coming days so def prepare and post massage with tons of water and juices! I dont live close but will try to come back here and there when it allows. 100% Recommend!!

Booked lymphatic massages after liposuction with the owner .She was nice and informative .I had a good experience and decided to book future appointments to finished my treatment .

Booked a last minute appointment on 5/18/24 for a facial on 5/19/24 at 10:00 a.m. My appointment was rescheduled to 10:30 a.m. instead for some unknown reason. I arrived at 10:25 a.m. and the door was locked. I called an no one answered. I left a message and as soon as I hung up, someone was calling me. I was let in and completed my intake form that was emailed to me at 10:27 a.m. I waited for a few minutes thinking the esthetician would be out to get me soon. Time passed and it was now 10:40 a.m. so I asked the lady at the desk is the person that is with the current client the person that would be performing my facial and she told me yes. I indicated that my appointment was for 10:30 that it was originally booked for 10:00 a.m. so now my service is behind 10 minutes. She went to tell the esthetician that I was there and I heard her say she would be finished in ten minutes. So that meant I would have been waiting 20 minutes for an appointment that was rescheduled to10:30! As a first time client, this was not a good impression. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this place.

This is the best massage you will ever get. Staff is welcoming and educated on the services that they provide to each client. This will be the best money you will ever spend. I have been a client since 2009 and will not go anywhere else.

My wife and I visited the area from Virginia for a nice romantic weekend. We were a little late due to us getting stuck in our travels. The folks were so welcoming and understanding. We didn’t feel rushed and got the facial and massage. I fell asleep during my massage lol! The ambience was wonderful and the products were so smooth and aromatic. Carolina and her team is out of this world! I have suffered with a chronic ocular migraines my entire life. I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked until I discovered SCRAPING! With just one session my neck and back felt brand new and from there I was sold. This isn’t your $60 for 60 mins massage. A cheap massage isn’t good, and a good massage isn’t cheap. lol no seriously it’s worth every red cent, best money I ever spent. This place is a 10/10 recommend!! I reserved a couples therapeutic massage and they were very friendly and accommodating from the time I called up until I left. You can tell Carolina and her employees are devoted to client satisfaction. I left the spa feeling tranquil and appreciated as a client. During the massage I felt the tension being released from my body. Therapist Victoria just knew my body and was able to focus on the right spots where I needed the most attention. These are good folks definitely recommend for all your spa services!

Went there for a couples massage, had an amazing experience. I would highly recommend. I work out a lot, and had a considerable amount of knots in my muscles. Carolina, was able to get every single one out. My gf enjoyed her massage as well. Was highly relaxing, and an overall 10/10 experience.

Definitely the worst massage I’ve ever gotten and not worth the $240 I paid. I specified shoulders, upper, and lower back as problem areas. When I got home my neck was completely bruised and swollen. I did ask for a lot of pressure but there were times I was questioning if the guy was intentionally trying to make me lose consciousness due to him digging his thumb into my neck at the base of my skull. I am not a confrontational person and I like to assume people providing a service know what they are doing but it was clear he did not. My fault for not speaking up but again, I assumed there must have been a reason for what he was doing. I’m too traumatized from this experience to go back to ask for a refund. It’s now 3 days later and I’ve had to schedule a doctors appointment because the pain in my neck is unbearable.The only upside, the staff was super nice. Not sure if this guy was genuinely trying and just failed miserably or what. Either way, it will be a while before I ever go for another massage and it will most certainly not be here!

My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and really enjoyed ourselves. The owner Carolina who didn’t even massage either of us saw that my boyfriend was struggling with a headache from ongoing sinus issues and she took it upon herself to perform another massage on him for a solid 25 minutes. He left feeling brand new. She even told me to text her so she could provide a handwritten regimen for him to help in the future. You can tell she takes pride in her business and what she does for a living. I would highly recommend going to see her!

Don’t let the good reviews fool you!! Your money is best spent somewhere else.My girlfriend and I did the couples massage, and we didn’t have the best experience. I’m not sure if it’s protocol that the massage therapists wear gloves, but we both found that a little odd since all they really did was rub their arms on our bodies. My girlfriend didn’t get any type of relief after consulting with the massage therapist for her needs. Both therapists used way too much oil and pretty much did nothing but rub their arms on our body’s vigorously for 60 minutes, leading me to believe they have no formal training in actual massage therapy. Neither of the therapists we received were listed on the website.I have a tendency to get congested when I’m laying face down for an extended period of time. When I was asked to turn over, my therapist put some type of peppermint oil up my nose, without warning, to help relieve the congestion. The oil wound up in my eye which left me with a burning sensation shortly after treatment.Once our session was over, we proceeded to get dressed. Not even a minute later, the one massage therapist came back down to our room to grab her phone. Neither of us were done getting dressed at this point.

I had a lymphatic drainage massage with annnabel and I was surprised when I walked in the door. My appointment was at 3pm and I was taken back at 3:15. I had a 50 minute massage but when I left I looked at my watch and it was 3:50. I paid for the full 50 minutes and it only was 35. That was the least of the problems.. she never addressed me by name, didn’t ask about my history or issues, the bathroom was visibly dirty. I hate to leave a bad review but I was unpleasantly surprised by my experience and massage since this place had high reviews. Definitely do not recommend

I went to Sacred Paradise as a new client today and saw Carolina Ruiz, the owner, for a deep tissue massage and a facial. I have been going for massages for many years now and I can say in all honesty that this was the best massage I have ever had. I had selected a deep tissue massage and Carolina is truly a massage detective. She found every knot in my body and convinced it to give up under her skilled fingers. The facial was a delight, with all organic and high quality ingredients in the products she used. I will be back to visit her many, many times in the future.

Received a lymphatic massage & lymphatic blanket by Annebel. The massage was good. I had to call her several times after the lymphatic blanket beeped after the 30 min. She gave me a towel & I sat there for a while waiting for her to come back. I got up to look for her and she was in the waiting area on her phone. She didnt even help me out of the blanket. I believe the language barrier & cell phone usage prevents her from giving 5 star service. I would go back but I will definitely choose a different masseuse.

Surprised my husband with a massage here for his birthday (w/ Michael M @ Germantown Ave location). My husband is a pro guitarist who has occasional wrist, hand and shoulder issues. He said it was the best massage hes ever gotten. Met Carolina, shes so nice, personable. Space was very relaxing. Everyone was very professional. I plan to return to get a couples massage now and I will also bring my mom who suffers with some lingering chronic pain from a fall several years ago.

The staff is very welcoming I felt a good aura when entering, this was my first time here. My therapist was bryanna, they were great, they made me feel relaxed and made sure everything was perfect. They were very friendly as well. I will definitely be coming back.

We went for a couples facial. Our first. The staff was very nice, but they double booked us and were confused about what services we booked online. It was very relaxing, but I did need to get accustomed to a bright light that was next to the table. My fiancée enjoyed the results, but I did not notice a difference in my pores or complexion. I guess miracles arent always possible. It is difficult to say if the price was worth it since it was our first.

I come here to heal. Each massage session Carolina really listens to where my body is and curates a collection healing bodywork techniques to get me back in balance. Its a gift to me. Carolima focuses in and goes the extra step, like when she broke my cuppimg, deep tissue and reflxology i to phases to go deeper and create a flowi g journey to melted muscles. She pulls in energizing himalayan rocks, infrared light, hot stonees Nd warm bacl mats to open ip my body, release tension, toxins and stres.. i have had a stressful few mo ths caring for family and now that they are betterr i came here the next morning to reset myself. I feel taller, lighter and i am standing staighter with loose muscles. This place is a sacred paradise. Come and enjoy

Great establishment. For starters, they was able to accomodate a couples massage ( called around and some places due to covid were unable to do so)The prices was good ( def not cheap, but aligned with other places)The massage waa good tooONLY complaint is the couple massage was in the basement ( low ceiling) im tall. Thereality is your only standing for a few min and the massage was good.I will be back

I had an amazing experience today here. The beautiful ladies at the front desk I got positive energy from the both so that allow me to feel comfortable from the door. The setting of the massage room wow soothing very relaxing had me all hyped up to get started. And Boom!!! Mike Blessed Hands Mike did the rest. He is Amazing no over the wall hype. He is Amazing. If you doubt my words than have the experience for yourself. He professionally took very good care of my body. He knew what spots to touch and how much pressure to put. And whatever part of the body needed more attention he made sure he focused on that part. I felt very comfortable with himI truly appreciate this experience. Today is my birthday so happy birthday to me!! Definitely going back and you should give them a try if you havent as of yet..Massage is a form of healing from the everyday bangs and bruises. Today was my first massage experience with Kaheem and it was amazing. He was very professional, attentive and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He payed attention to the areas I expressed that was bothering me. I highly recommend his services. You will not be disappointed! Carolina was a pleasure to speak with over the phone and she made sure I was well taken care of. She gave me advice on vitamins to take and followed up afterwards. I will be a regular!!! Thanks.

Sacred Paradise Spa is amazing. The place is beautiful with such good energy. Carolina the owner is such a sweet and professional person who is extremely knowledgeable, holds many certifications in this field, and is very good at what she does. Mike Malachi, one of her masseuses, is absolutely amazing! He has been taking care of my lymphatic drainage massages and it has been such a great experience. He is also certified and extremely knowledgeable as well. I will be continuing with them for my drainage massages and other services they offer as well!

After being asked to push my appointment back by 30 mins the massage therapist showed up a 15 minutes late said nothing and proceeded to give me the Worst massage of my life. The woman was not trained, hand no bed side manner and wore latex gloves for the ENTIRE massage. Several times I caught her on her phone texting pretending that she was getting hot stones. For an 80 minute hot stone massage she probably only used the for about 10 minute on my back and never even brought them out when I was face up. She left the building before I could even get dressed! I really wish I could have complained to a manager or another staff person but no one was at the front desk when I came out. This experience was the worst and I wish I could give it zero stars not sure how the ratings are so high on here.

So, I work, ALOT. My husband and I needed a TOTAL RELEASE. The couples massage, whew! I’ve had MANY massages, and I’m extremely particular! The music was right, I was comfortable and the price wasn’t bad AT ALL!

SCAM! Don’t be fooled by photos on website. Look carefully, they use props as walls. If you zoom in you can see the gaps between the wall props! If they can lie on their website, they will lie about what they apply on you and will lie to your face! Their facilities are not well maintained, smell and are dirty. I’d say visit this place in person first before booking it, since you will not get a refund.Happy I didn’t let them touch my newly 30 year old body!

This is easily the best place for a massage in Northwest Philly and probably the entire city. I love this place, which is very clean and welcoming. My first time visiting was about a year ago, so I was long overdue when I made an appointment for last weekend. I had an 80 minute signature massage with Kaheem and he was amazing. He really made sure to pay attention to my problem areas and I left feeling great with no soreness at all in the following days. I definitely plan on treating myself to regular massages from here on out and booking with Kaheem, but you cant go wrong with any of the massage therapists here.

Let me start off by saying that this review is nothing personal and that the owner is a very kind person who made us feel welcomed both times we came here. Only sharing the experience that my girlfriend received after coming here twice for what we thought would be a good experience but turned out to be less then satisfactory on both occasions. The first time coming here I booked an online appointment for a full body massage for my girlfriend. I originally booked with Blanca who I only found out was unavailable after the massage started. Since Blanca was unavailable, Bill was given the task to perform the service. My girlfriend specifically wanted a female massage therapist as I had mentioned to the owner that my girlfriend was not comfortable getting a massage by a man. Although Bill was communicative and attentive the massage was not worth the $95 that I had paid. My girlfriend explained that the treatment felt more like a breathing exercise and it wasn’t a full body massage. After leaving, I contacted the owner and explained to her what my girlfriends experience was and asked what could be done. I was told to come back the following week and she would get another massage done by either herself (the owner) or by Blanca. We came back and once again neither the owner nor Blanca did the massage and again the massage did not meet expectations. I would’ve preferred a refund and to not have felt like my money and our time was wasted.

I have had the most wonderful experience ever. I am here forever. Carolina and Anabeth are so pleasant,professional and awesome. If anyone isnt happy after leaving her. I dont know why.

The moment I walked in I was made to feel at ease and very welcome. The atmosphere is warm, very calming. The massage itself was 80 minutes of bliss. Sacred Paradise Spa is truly a gem! On Friday I had a 50 minute massage; on Sunday, I had a 90 minute massage. To sum things up nicely, my experiences were mouth watering delicious! Due to the pandemic lockdowns, I had not had a massage in over 20 months. So, when I was unexpectedly in Philadelphia and heard a customer at the next door coffee shop rave about the massage services offered at Sacred Paradise Spa, I made an appointment. To be honest, as a serious massage enthusiast, at first, I was a Wee bit skeptical that a neighborhood spa could be THAT good! Well, heres to the benefits of word of mouth referrals! On a scale of 1 to 10, my spa experience was a heavenly 50! Can the massage therapists there really be THAT good? Yep, you bet they are. Carolina and Michael deliver the massage spa goods big time! Each time I left feeling refreshed, restored and pain free. OK, after my 90 minute massage, I floated out the door to my car. 6 stars!

Really disappointed with my experience here after seeing these great reviews. After driving 30 minutes to my appointment, my room still had previously used sheets and had to be changed/cleaned after I already got there. Then I was told on the spot that I was going to be treated by a male technician after expecting a female technician. I re-scheduled but ultimately ended up cancelling after being disappointed with this ordeal. They did not offer me a refund and now they get $100 of my money and a bad review..I really wanted to like this place but if they’re not going to give a refund after this then this is not a place you should spend your money on.

I had a massage by Kaheem and he was very professional. He asked me what was my main reason for coming. I told him that I was having lower back pain and he focused a lot there. His massage was firm and gentle all at the same time, he gave me the quietness that I asked for but he kept me informed of his every move and why he did certain movements. I will definitely book with him again. Thank you for hiring him. He is the best massage therapist I ever had. I just had the best deep tissue massage of my life. Unlike every other time I’ve tried to get a deep tissue and ended up with a Swedish, this massage was for real. Kaheem checked in regularly but his pressure was intense and just what i was looking for. He was very friendly and helpful with giving me tips for pain relief, and despite the pressure I still managed to take a little nap at the end.
