Massage Envy

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. This was my first time getting a massage, and it was a $110 gift from my 15-year-old son. I called Massage Envy to let them know I was running 10 minutes late, but the receptionist never mentioned that those 10 minutes would be deducted from my one-hour session. Had I known, I would have rescheduled. To make matters worse, the masseuse ended the session 4 minutes early. I even took a photo of the clock in the room to prove it. The massage itself was mediocre and not worth the money. If youre looking for real therapy, I recommend the Asian foot spa next to Dominos on Main St. For $45, you get a full hour of head-to-toe treatment that leaves you feeling truly relaxed and rejuvenated.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Massage Envy. I scheduled a massage for myself and my mom over a month ago, only to have it rescheduled a week ago due to staffing issues. Now, I’ve been informed that another staff member is sick and our appointment cannot even be found in your system.This level of disorganization is absolutely unacceptable. Not only has this caused major inconvenience, but it also completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. Your inability to manage appointments and staffing is beyond frustrating.I would not recommend Massage Envy to anyone looking for a reliable and professional massage experience. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Had one of the best facials with Sarah! We did the oxygenating treatment with the cooling globes and was so relaxing! Helped with the redness and texture of my skin.

The location is absolutely incompetent. Impossible to get an appointment. Must wait months. Phone calls… They put you on hold. No one picks up. When they do they say please hold and then no one comes back. Service is awful. A bunch of kids running the place. No manager on property on a Saturday! Really???

I’m really not the complainer type but I have never had such a terrible experience at massage envy. I had a 60-minute massage that was so rough that I have soreness in my muscles and bruises on my body. The massage that I received was basically the therapist just really aggressively rubbing lotion on me. I couldn’t really relax at all because I was getting rocked forward and backward on the table for the entire time because his technique was to rub parts of my body up and down really fast. I feel worse now than I did before I went in. He also tried to crack my back….which I feel like massage therapists aren’t supposed to do? I genuinely question if he has a license. There were a few times that I had to tell him to go lighter on the pressure. He spent the first 15 minutes of the massage just pressing his fingers into the pressure points in my neck and front shoulders near my chest. I asked him what he was doing and he just said “pressure points, tender” in broken English He didn’t even do a full 50 minutes (which is what reception told me the actually length of a 60 min massage). I told the two women at the front desk that I was actually really disappointed, especially considering the massage was $135 not including tip. They were both shocked but ultimately told me that “Eric isn’t for everyone.” While they seemed sympathetic, they basically said “that’s just his style.” They offered to re-book me with someone else, but I told them I didn’t have the money to spend again. Their response was to offer me to buy a monthly membership, and the cost of the individual massages would be cheaper, which is really not a solution. One of the women said they could give me a free update if I booked another massage that day - which I said no again that I didn’t want to spend the money after having such a horrible experience. On my way out after I paid, they had the audacity to ask me if I left gratuity. I actually did leave him a tip because he bills to pay too, but good lord the balls on these women. I actually left in tears because the massage was for my birthday. Today, just one day later, I am both sore all over my neck and shoulders and bruised on parts of my body. For context, I’m a healthy 30 year old woman with no pre-existing injuries, but today, I have so much shoulder pain and feel like he tore a muscle in my arm when he was pulling on it. I will never go back to this massage envy again and hope that someone seriously investigates their staff. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but since they didn’t offer anything to make it right I feel like it’s important that other people know what to expect.

Stay away! Not enough staff, not easy to book, terrible service, therapist are not very experienced. Some therapist dont have a good command of language (understand the body or speech) and downright rude. Stay away!

I got enzyme facial with estheticion Dana.She was so professional and kindly explained all the steps I received. I can see my face is clean and glowing.All staffs were so warm-hearted and store was very neat.I enjoyed so much my time in here, so I joined membership as well 🙌Already counting time for my next visit 😍

Omg.... I went to get my facial for the 1st time and Dana is by far the best and amazing Esthethican! She gave me a microdermabrasion treatment and my skin hasn’t had a glow like this in a long time.Let’s not even talk about the staff especially Maria at the front who is by far incredible with her loving personality! They have made my experience by far the best ever and I am so grateful for Massage Envy!In addition, I also did a massage the day prior and I felt so refreshed. Thank you so much again for the wonderful experience. I highly recommended this location!

I have been going to this Massage Envy for many years. I used to enjoy it and the services. When COVID hit they paused payments and now that they are “open” have reinstated the payments. The problem is you can never get an appointment, they are obviously grossly understaffed and my favorite facialist never came back after COVID. I now have 10 services racked up and can never use them because of lack of availability. You would think being a long time member would mean something, when I said I wanted to pause my membership to attempt to catch up, again they wanted to charge me. So basically your being charged for services you can’t use. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The best way to recover from a tuff day. In the new reality many of us spend too much time at home not getting out not moving not doing and not taking care of ourselves. There is nothing like a great massage to help relax and invigorate someone the way massage does. The staff was wonderful and welcoming when I arrived and the masseuse made me feel fantastic I could not ask for more. Enjoy your day I sure did yesterday. Chanel was great.

I have been going to Massage Envy regularly for the past few years. Outstanding experience every time. Joyanne has been my massage therapist since the beginning. Prior to that I have had massages at many places for the past 30 years but JoyAnne is by far the best massage therapist I have ever had anywhere. Also, Barbara and the other people at the front desk are always so wonderful.

This place is fantastic! Making an appointment took two minutes - they picked up on the first ring and I got the exact time slot I wanted the next day. The place is well decorated and extremely clean. Cleanliness is the number one thing I look for in a waxing place and I can assure you this place is impeccable. Also the prices are great (impossible to find something of this quality for the same price in the area). I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

I had a great massage that was restorative while also getting some knots out. My massage therapist was vaccinated and they had info out about their covid procedures. I felt safe. Both of us had masks on and it was still relaxing. Price was also reasonable.

I enjoyed going to massage envy in Port Washington. We moved to Manhasset from the city. I was looking forward to finding a place nearby so I didn’t have to travel to the city for my massages. I’m glad I gave this place a chance. I’ve only used two therapists there - - Joy-Ann and Verdean. They know what they are doing. They ask questions every time to make sure you get the best service. Be aware, therapists like Joy-Ann and Verdean get booked so be patient and book in advance. Overall, the whole staff is professional, attentive and the place is so clean.

Went for a facial, they were kind enough to give me a last minute appointment. However, I emphasized several times that my skin is extremely sensitive and red (which should be apparent to the esthetician anyway) My facialist:• Wore rubber GLOVES the entire facial (ouch)• Never covered my eyes under the bright light• Steam machine was HOT and too close to my face - (I actually spoke up about this once because I was burning up)• Extractions only took place on the bridge of my nose? She did not look at a single other area• I left with crusty stuff on my faceOverall, just not a great experience

Amazing massages. Therapists are super professional, create a calm atmosphere, and work through all the muscle kinks. Front desk is great. I leave feeling relaxed and an inch taller. Also really appreciate the covid-safety practices and his clean the place is. Highly recommend. Great value.

Port Washington massage envy is heads above other spas. Their customer service is excellent and I cannot say enough about the masseuse s. They are so professional and can find the knots in my body without direction. Leaving there, I feel like I am walking on air

Chanel is an excellent therapist. The whole experience was highly professional. She did a great job. I would recommend her and ME to all of my friends and family.

Having had one ridiculously overpriced hour (40 minutes) that was at best a physical therapist session and then one hr session when a member id say blah. Also membership affords you know courtesy. If I knew I would be stuck in traffic 24 hours in advance id clearly call and reschedule for later. They are not that busy that they cant afford courtesy to members. They have a collection agency customer service approach and really not worth the hassle. Go to a hot stone rub place for $60

I was achy from taking my Covid booster on Friday. As usual, Wunkop took away my aches and pains. The check in process was also pleasant thanks to Elena, who was friendly and courteous.Overall, it was a good experience. I’m looking forward to coming back again soon.

Eric is a therapeutic deep tissue therapist and very in tune to the human anatomy. I didn’t express all my problem areas in our pre-chat however as he worked he did pinpoint areas that needed to be worked on as well as checked in with me about the applied pressure to decompress my tension areas which were tender. For an unplanned session it worked in my favor to getting a restful night of sleep.

This location is fantastic and I recommend it to many people. The girls at the front desk especially Barbara, Denise, and Judy are excellent to deal with and Eric has a great understanding of the muscles in your body and knows what he’s doing to make you feel better.

Im from out of town and made an impromptu stop at this location. Wunlop was wonderful-- perfect for athletes with lots of tension. Important to note, Maria at the front desk is a ray of sunshine and Massage Envy is lucky to have her.

I left three messages for Barbara, and she has not returned my calls. I also filled out a survey about my experience with a masseuse, and no one called me to receive more information, even though I requested this in the survey. I have been a member of Massage Envy since 2013 and am in shock with the indifference to my requests for communication.

Channel is an awesome massage therapist. She made me feel so relaxed and I feel much better from body aches. Port Washington massage envy is a great place!

Port Washington is great. My massage with Chanel was wonderful. I love this place and sometimes I go to the Garden City Branch. My massager at Garden City was always canceling so when that happens I go to Port Eashington. The convenience is great for me to go to either or. Massage Envy is a great place.

If you work, then its impossible to get an appointment with some one thats good. You have to make an appointment 2 months in advance and you have to remember it or cancel 24 hours in advance or you are 100% liable. The good therapists complain that they dont get paid enough. Initially, they work a few days per week with better time slots. Then, as they grow a following for their personal in home massages, they drastically cut their hours down at massage envy, especially the high demand time slots.I used to get email reminders of my massage appointments but that hasnt happened lately.I rescheduled a recent appointment with a girl that answered the phone. Not only did she not cancel the appointment, she never booked the new one. Massage envy held me responsible for the massage bc the front desk didnt properly do their job. They expected me to stop driving and write down the name of the girl that I spoke to. Wellness therapy shouldnt be so difficult or stressful. Lol. Save the monthly bill and arrange for in home medical massage. Its actually the same price and less sressful.

First time at Port Washington location and they were all very friendly. My massage with Chanel was awesome!! Can’t wait for my next appointment.

My massage was with Eric and I left feeling years younger and the tense muscles I had when I walked in were gone. I highly recommend Eric if you are looking for a deep pressure massage.

I received a gift card for a 90 minute massage. I was then told the price changed so I had to pay the difference. One would think that a gift card for a service should be for that price, whatever it was paid. It was his within the year so I was shocked that they would tell me I owe more money on a gift.

After giving up on massage, I followed a recommendation from a tennis friend.That was 5 years agoMy PT and massage therapist speak the same language.Total operation is excellent

Rich is the absolute best!!!! Very intuitive and is very knowledgeable about the body’s muscular anatomy and how it works. Everybody needs a “Rich”!!!He’s great at deep tissue and working specific areas that are fatigued or stressed.

Staff is very nice and quick to answer questions. Spa is clean and its a very relaxing environment. Had different therapists for massages pre and post natal and all were amazing!

Verdean is the best masseuse I ever had. She is kind, professional, and an excellent masseuse. She alleviates the specific pains and aches of which I complained.

Some of the staff is wonderful, but the management does not treat their employees with respect and care. Multiple occasions I’ve seen and been told employees feel over worked.
