The staff did a great job as making my wife and i comfortable on our first visit On newbie night. It was a surprise for my wife and they had one of the most memorable nights of theyre life. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, the people were respectful and kind. It was an experience to remember for sure! Will definitely be returning!

So, somewhere out there is a review by someone I presume is transgender, who detailed a very negative experience here. I went last weekend, you know, for the lulz, and found the opposite.It’s important to consider I’m like, 6’3” in flats, and “built like a linebacker”, as someone once told me…pretty sure everyone knows I’m trans. Granted, I didn’t go looking to meet anyone, so not being approached wasn’t a source of disappointment. However, the few people I casually spoke to - at the bar, asking to borrow a seat, whatever - were very polite and engaging. In my experience, the values espoused by management and staff generally match those of the people frequenting any establishment. Again, I did not go here thinking I would meet anyone, and I am not trying to diminish anyone’s negative experiences. I’m just saying, everybody was nice to me.

My wife and I joined this club as new members July of 2023. We have been to at least 10 events in the last 6 months and loved every night spent there. The owners are super friendly as well staff and bartenders. We have made many amazing friends already and plan on becoming VIP Members this year.

Best place for a first time experience. Workers/volunteers were so friendly, accepting, andnon judgemental. We felt very taken care of. The place is very safe and they are very firm about the rules which keeps us all protected. The environment is very clean. People were friendly. Thursday night is a nice quiet night while Friday was packed! We even got free alcoholic drinks for the first night. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Great club full of beautiful and interesting people. All of our visits have unfortunately been severely compromised by bad DJing. I cant say if the music choice was good or bad because it was played with so much bass as to overwhelm the speakers with the result being a loud undifferentiated undefined near continuous low frequency rumble for most of the evenings.

I have been looking forward to coming here on a newbie night for 2 years. We were finally able to get the time off to come from the coast and were very excited…I even got us bottle service!I’ve never been more disappointed.This was NOT a “newbie” night. Everyone there, except for 2-3 other couples that we saw getting the tour. EVERYONE there had been there before and already knew everyone there. It was by far the most cliquey place and there was no real opportunity for ice breakers. I even resorted to asking the bartender how we’re supposed to meet people because we’re NEW on NEWBIE night! Didn’t get a helpful response. I thought the VIP table service would help, but nobody cared. Felt like nobody wanted anything to do with us. Spent 400 dollars to be sad and feel unattractive.EDIT AS A RESPONSE: We were never told about “ambassadors” or anything like that. The staff basically just told us to let them know if we needed anything like more lube or condoms….nothing about helping to socialize. That would have been a huge help. We live on the coast and don’t get over the mountain very often. Also, funny that all these “newbies” already knew a ton of people there. 🤔I guess that was just a coincidence!🙄

I hate that Im having to write this because I have LOVED Club Privata, and I have always felt safe there. Friday night, I went with my friend, and we had a great time. We met some new friends, danced, and had a couple of drinks. I never drink in excess, especially not at clubs like this. I got back home, and I vomited, could barely get words out (they were just slurred), and I couldnt move my body at all. The last two nights, Ive had three seizures (never had these in my life), and Im still feeling the nausea Ive only felt after being drugged. Im not saying it was any of the bartenders, but it is a dark place, and it can get crowded. Always make sure you have a hand over your drink when youre walking around.Ill probably still come back after a while, but I wont be drinking here anymore.

Hubs and I have been to all the lifestyle clubs in Oregon, and several others around the PNW, but Privata is our favorite by farrrrrr. Weve been coming to party for years, and will continue to come here. Chef Curtis whips up the BEST food, the owners Holly and Charles are there every night greeting and talking to guests, the ambassador staff is quick and responsive to anything you need, and we have even become personal friends with some of them. A great club all around.

We had a blast with beautiful people! The music and drinks were great. Will definitely visit again.

This is my absolute favorite club! Upscale, sexy & classy. The staff are super professional and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing! & who doesn’t love a good dance floor with a cage? I can’t express how much I appreciate the effort the owners and staff put into this place. 1000/10 coming back every weekend.

We have been to privata several times. Really enjoy ourselves each and every time. Great food, owners are awesome and the volunteers are the best. If you are in the Portland area, this is the place to go. Make sure you get your tickets online so that you dont get there and turned away on big event nights that potentially sell out. Looking forward to visiting next month!

The New Years Eve bash was our first event at Privata! It was packed and sold out and we had the best time!!!The staff were welcoming and amazing, the appetizers were wonderful! We definitely cant wait to come back! We live about 2.5 hours away but we will be back monthly!!!Such a good vibe! Definitely get tickets early for a big event, we found out they sell out quick when some friends wanted to come last minute!Love love love this club, i cant say it enough!!! WAHotwife 😘

We love to go dancing, and meet great friends here. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Its a clean club, and strict on the rules so they can assure you have a safe and enjoyable evening. Much love to Holly and Charles for providing a place like this. We love you too from the bottom of our hearts to the top of our parts where the butterfly hang out.

Me and my wife started coming here a few months ago and fell in love with the atmosphere, people and the vibes immediately. We have made new friends since coming and found a place we can enjoy ourselves every weekend. Very clean and put together. Staff is on top of everything and so well managed . Prices are great with all the services they provide . Highly recommend.

Went here with my wife for the first time last night 33M/30F (first time in general at a club like this) all of the worries or fears of trying for the first time we’re completely eliminated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was clean. There wasn’t a ton of guys following you or really bothering you at all. It felt like a really cool laid back normal night club besides people playing. Everyone was respectful, didn’t have a single uneasy feeling or negative interaction. Drinks were good. We thought we’d just baby step into things but ended up feeling comfortable beginning to play in a room that just had see through curtains and then finished in a private room with door closed. We did this on our own with zero pressure from a single person to do anything. Couldn’t think of a single complaint. Although I’d like to either come earlier or come on a Saturday/busier night and be able to use the dance floor. 10/10

The dance floor is so perfect! The energy is unmatched! Employees are so friendly and it is a safe space for have fun! Very clean and sanitary, all areas are ready for play and watching!!! Will come back over and over!

Club Privata had a great vibe, felt safe, friendly atmosphere, and very clean environment. With professional staff members at the club working to answer questions, keep things clean and sanitized so that it is safe for everyone. Also, it’s a judgement-free and body-positive place where you can be yourself. It’s a winner!

Club Privata is our standard against which we hold any other lifestyle club to. Nowhere that weve been gives the service, the multitude of opportunities, & the safe environment that Privata does. Holly & Charles do an amazing job providing a safe space for any open minded person to enjoy themselves!

My husband and I have coming here for 7 years now and I cant even begin to explain how much I love this place. The owners are the most amazing people and the staff are like family ❤️ Its my happy place that we can meet our friends and meet new people. I love Privata!!

Club Privata is our go-to place to dance, have fun and hangout with like-minded people. Staff is very friendly and ensures everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience.

The facilities were clean, well stocked, and staff was super friendly. (Newbies get a free drink and a tour!) I appreciated the locker rooms, showers, and three full stories to walk around.The staff explicitly laid out and thoroughly explained the rules upon entry (as seen online and the massive plaque upon entering). Everyone entering should be knowledgeable of the same expectations regarding conduct while inside.However, I would not go back — not because of any issues with the staff or facilities (again the staff was super accommodating) but the night I had gone, I received a strong amount of creepy staring, and I was repeatedly touched by the other club-goers who wanted to compliment my particularly flashy outfit. I appreciated the compliments, but not the complete strangers who decided to give me a full hug and slap my a*s without my consent in order to deliver said compliment.The interactions with the other attendees the night I had went really left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the time I was there. I felt massively uncomfortable and ultimately ended up leaving shortly after I arrived.To sum up, the staff and facilities are wonderful! However, please be aware of the possibility that attendees may not abide by the clearly stated rules, or follow the basic concept of consent.

Highly recommend for anyone and everyone. The space clean, staff is awesome and attentive, guests have been very respectful. This an exciting place for all people no matter their level of comfort. The only regret you might have is why havent we do this sooner. I think you would be hard pressed to find a hotter Sexier more fun experience for a night out in the Portland area.

We have gone here a couple times last year and every time they have treated us so well.. I love that they have the gentleman dress up.. they make us woman feel very safe.. if we say no and the gentleman doesnt listen they act right away.. thats why we have planned to do my husbands birthday there.. we get to rent out the VIP area and dance the night away..

This place is awesome great music, food, and people. My gf and I went on a saterday and enjoyed all three levels of the place. Everyone was really cool and respectful and Holly and Charles were the best hosts.

This is a great club if you’re part of a couple. I’m an attractive single female, but I felt completely excluded, and I am no stranger to this environment. Nobody’s fault, just not a good scene for a single woman. Obviously many people are having a great time, but it just was a miserable night for me. Not the fault of the club, but just expected there to be more singles there or more opportunities to play with couples but no such luck.

Nice staff and venue but an old school, objectifying and unequal vibe (unlike Sanctuary which felt very open to anyone doing their thing - respectfully of course). At privada, ladies can walk around almost naked but guys cant even wear underwear from play areas to the bathroom. Guys also discouraged from dancing in the cage in contrast to women. I thought it was the year 2023 but not in privada

We love this place! So fun to go here for a night out. Very friendly, welcoming and no pressure. If you haven’t been, just go and expect to dance and drink like at a normal club…then if you want, participate. Otherwise just keep it casual and only do what you are comfortable with. Enjoy!

I absolutely love this place. I told Holly that privata lets me be myself and dress sexy knowing i am always safe! It is ran beautifully and we go there as much as possible😘

Loved this place!!!!!!!! First time here and first time doing this time of thing, for both me and my girlfriend, were both new to the lifestyle and from Seattle. Loved that if youve never been there before, they give you a tour, when youre new to this sort of thing its makes you feel safe. Overall we had a blast. Music was great, very well organized and clean establishment; classy, great food, great drinks, and nicely dressed (& undressed) friendly fun people. Meet some great people there that night. It was worth the trip from Seattle and we cant wait to come back!

Clean, great staff, wonderful environment. If I had to say one thing that could improve it would be the music is a bit loud. But thats my personal preference. It is a night club and music is essential to that purpose. But the positives are very good. Always feels clean. The staff are absolutely amazing. The events they host are great!

Ive only been here once. It was a new experience for me and my friend. Even though I didnt participate in any of the parties. I did enjoy the safe environment and a walk through by the employee. The place seemed very clean and i felt safe while there. Even though at that night I didnt come across someone i was attracted to, it was a quiet night but I will definitely return to check it out again. Honestly didnt know what to expect when we walked in , From outside security to inside you feel comfortable. Entire staff is truly amazing including our absolutely stunning and wonderful hostess that gave us a tour . Met a few people on both nights we went and just couldnt get enough of the good energy throughout. Amazingly clean, good drinks ,good music ,amazing rooms even on the top floor for us couples looking to explore a little more. No pressure from anyone and enjoyed the company of fellow couples throughout the night. Got a membership so wife and I are definitely coming back! Cant wait to see some more of the events they have lined up in the near future. Dress to impress gentlemen and enjoy this amazing adult club.

This place and the staff our amazing. For my wifes birthday the entire place made it a very special event for her. I cant thank them enough for what they have done.

My significant other and i did not know what to expect when coming all the way down here from Seattle as a first timer in the scene. . We got tickets to the black dress party, a nice hotel room blocks away and got done up for the event. We showed up a little late thinking we did the right thing in waiting for the crowd to show but we should have come at 7. When we arrived security checked temps, ID’s, and let us in where we checked in at the front desk, got a tour and was extremely happy with our choice. The music was great, the staff was AMAZING, the place was extremely clean, it smelled great, and you could tell the owners care about their facility. The bottom floor has a nightclub, bathrooms, dining/socializing area, lockers, showers and some private rooms. The middle level has private play rooms, a stripper pole, a lounge area and a view of the dance floor. The upper levels had couples only action and was great. A great anything goes lounge, bar, bathrooms and tons of space for play. We are planning our next visit in a couple weeks and are so excited

My husband and I had an amazing experience here! We felt very welcome and our tour guide Chris was a very thorough,straightforward,and polite guy. He answered any questions or concerns we had. All of the staff were exceptionally nice,and made you feel so welcome and important. Our bartender Zack was pretty cool and accommodating with our drinks. He made some of the best drinks, and you could tell that he loved what he do. Also, everything was organized and the aesthetic and decor of this place was phenomenol. It was very clean and smelled so nice. The music was very diverse and fun.The environment was so laid back and sexy that it made you feel like you belonged. We will definitely be obtaining a membership from here and come back soon. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a sexy plus fun time with some easygoing-ness without any pressure!:)

This place made our first visit to Portland a great one. We decided to give it a try based on prev reviews and the place did not disappoint. It was our first time and from the moment we got to the door we felt very safe and welcome. The place is very private.. no signs advertising what it is and there is a guard at the door screening people before entering. I particularly liked that part of it.. it shows that safety is well enforced. The guard also enforced the dress code lol!We were given a tour of the facility and a very good explanation of rules. The place is very clean and the staff is always walking around to ensure a safe environment. Great DJ… awesome vibe.. Gorgeous people all around.. we had so much fun!!The club has 3 floor and each floor had it’s particular vibe. There is a bar on the 1st main floor and another one on the 3rd floor.Overall great place, great experience. We will visit again soon.

I been in many swinger club in us. This one have the best customer service and so many rooms and space. Really sexy couple. And best drinks. Honestly I love it. . I was visiting Portland I cant wait to go back. . Really 5 stars .

We were a new couple there..........we drove 3 hours away just to go to the club. After being there for 6 hours straight......we didnt even get lucky except for ourselves, and we dont want to experience any other club in Seattle or Portland......we just want to go back to Club Privata again and agaian. My wife and I loved the people, loved the servers and helpers, loved the atmosphere.....the cleanliness was out of this world. It seemed they had every need for every need. This place was great.

New to Privata, stranded at the club without wallet or phone, it was close to closing and I was facing a long walk alone in the dark and rain. Instead of a stand-offish, elitist attitude, the staff was very kind and sympathetic.The club owners especially went out of their way to ensure my safety and that I got to my destination okay. I have never EVER seen the owner of a club step in to such a degree, and take care of a patron with so much patience, and concern for their well being.I love this club! Not just for the amazing and fun atmosphere, or the yummy food and drinks, but because they really go above and beyond for their customers!Thank you Club Privata!-- Angela R., Salem, OR

Great place with upgrades from previous lifestyle club that occupied the same premises. A lot of fun! Only downside is they seem to take the cap off on single guys they let in so add that to no more couples only area and the creepy factor is definitely there. On another note that was a bit of a turn off but ultimately worked out OK, one of the couples that are owners pretty much invited themselves to participate where my girlfriend and I were playing. We spoke with another couple that happened to that havent returned. The owners need to exercise better boundaries and play the role of owners on the premises, not customers. Otherwise a great place for couples in an upscale clean environment.

A fantastic experience for us open minded and sexualy adventurous adults. A safe atmosphere is provided for consenting adults to play, or just watch if they like. The food is decent and on busy nights a drink line might be an hour long or Id give it five stars.I love this club!

Best lifestyle club in Portland. Beautiful atmosphere and great parties. Cant say enough great things about this place. Its worth the price. Great for all lifestyle and LGBTQA. They are very good about keeping ones privacy and anonymity. Huge 3 story venue, with 2 bars and an all you can eat buffet.

Had great things to say about this place when I first joined. Last time I went I learned that they canned the entire staff except one bartender. The new staff helped me decide this was my final visit. Their hovering presence and unnecessary input/comments had me feeling completely awkward, uncomfortable, like this was NOT the place for me. Their “records” are incorrect (which is concerning also); I have definitely been here more times than they say. The fact that they would share this information about me publicly in an attempt to put me in my place (even though it isn’t correct) is cringe, and it feels like they’re saying my review is false. I’m also turned off they think it’s “suspicious” that I would leave a review at MY convenience rather than immediately after the bad experience I had. Google asked me to review you. That’s why it’s been so long since I visited and yet I felt like leaving my feedback now. Congratulations I just changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 because of your response to my review.

Abusive staff. This was my first time coming to a club like this and it easily seems like any other night club in Portland. came on a newbie night and made a first timer mistake of accidentally forgetting the no phone rule policy when I was up at the bar and as soon as I pulled it out the bartender punched it out of my hand. (Mind you I’m a 5ft girl and the bartender was a 6ft man) and I mean actually balled his fist up and punched me in the hand to knock my phone out of it. he should have warned me or even asked me to leave right away. I didn’t know that if you break their most simple rule that they were aloud to physically assault you here.

It was my third time attending last night as Club Privata. I’ve gone to 3 other swingers club and this is my all time fave in Portland. The first two times wasn’t as pleasant since the single guys kept asking me despite showing no interest and having to say no a couple times, but still a lot less hassle than typical clubs where man body slams you hoping you’d fall on heels, or grabbing without asking. Hence my preference for places with no creep policy.My favorite food (yes, in my list of priorities this tops the list) so far has been plantain with dates. It was sweet and tasty. Rest are typically fried rice, yakisoba, wonton, etc. that’s quick and easy to prepare. Things you can carb up before the nightly exercise ;) I recall Sesso having more varied upscale food back in the day, not sure if increased overhead cost means needing to scale down a bit.I’ve been to kink event and it was quite enjoyable being tied up in Shibari and being able to spend a quality time with friend on my last visit. I enjoy Thursday because I don’t like it when the venue is packed, and prefer slightly more chill atmosphere. Plus, it’s cheaper and people finish up by 1 am as some work the next day. Which includes myself who’s typical bed time is 10 pm.Yesterday I attended with another friend and it’s nice to dine and chat for an hour before things start to pick up around 10-11 pm. The main attraction was the whipping which started by the pole, and transitioned to the large bed on the second floor. Most people move up and bar/dance floor is pretty empty by then.I’ve watched a girl get flogged pretty hardcore, and wondered if I could handle it as I’ve never engaged in one before. I volunteered and got down to receive some ear piercing slap! It started out mild and gradually became faster and harder, and he kept inquiring periodically to make sure I was OK.I had good time talking to a girl throughout the procedure, and even got final spanking. By the time it was said and done, I walked out not even noticing all the gaze that were on me. Which indicates I was in a good head space. This morning I noticed splattered bruises all over, but expect it to heal within few days.Oh, I also enjoyed the nipple electrocution. There’s something wonderfully explicit about electricity applied at right intervals. Definitely making a visit again some Thursday nights. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere, kept clean, staff is friendly, and food is decent.

As a single female my experience was positive, I felt safe and would go back. Even after my tour, I had staff and volunteers come by to check on me. The bartender came over before things got started to make sure I knew I could come to him if I felt uncomfortable, the woman who gave my tour came back by to check on me, other women and staff members at the club checked in on me.The only thing Id look out for is I had a few single men express how expensive their door fee was and how they wanted to get their moneys worth so to speak. They seemed to take rejection okay but gave some creepy eyes after and sat back down by me multiple times before some friendly folks decided to shoo them away.

The ABSOLUTE BEST....So much fun dancing! Phenomenal Food (included FREE with the night entry.... Dinner and on weekends Breakfast too... Both are Amazing Buffets by awesome Chef Curtis!) ....And if you desire lots of adult fun... VERY SAFE and EXTREMELY Clean....!!! Dress to impress and go to the web site for the nightly themes ....my Favorite = Naughty School Girl! The Bar service is Amazing ....only the Grand Opening had the Huge Drink Lines..... They have 3 Bars now on the HUGE Party Nights! I know you will be impressed!!

I have yet to actually experience the club itself yet. I bought tickets for Halloween night and wasnt able to attend due to an unforseen accident. I couldnt contact the club till the week after the event. The total was over $50. I kindly asked if my money could be put towards a future event (with high hopes). They did one better..they refunded the full amount back to my account! That was waaaaay cool. Especially being a local business trying to make its way thru it the pandemic. I just wanna say thank you for not even hesitating to refund my money immediately. Good people, from what Ive been told and seen in pics it looks like a BLAST!

Attended first time last night with my girlfriend. Our nerves were swiftly swept away by the decor and surroundnings. People were relaxed, very spaceous with many floors and options. Buffet seems out of place until you get those hunger pangs and then are surprised how good it tastes.

First time there, felt extremely comfortable. Staff was fantastic. If I didnt live out of state I would seriously think of becoming a full time member. Will definitely be back.

My first time going to this place was on Girl Candy night (transgender women - I was invited by a friend). This was on July 19.For me, the club was really, *really* slow. Its possibly my fault for coming in when they were opening, but it was essentially 1 hour and 30 minutes of just sitting and waiting for something to happen. There were just a handful of other people there, and it was mostly quiet. I finished like 4 plates of salad. When the performances finally got started, the friend who invited me performed, and she was pretty awesome, so that made up for a lot of the tedious sitting around. After that, people started to leave, so it was really uneventful. Its the kind of place where you should definitely bring something to read.

Just went for the first time last night! We had an absolute blast. Friendly staff, very clean, great couples. We will definitely be going again!

Great music, and it is set up in a way that those of us new to this lifestyle; felt VERY comfortable.. Amazing staff that are not only protective but helpful in guidance, escpecially if you do not know the protocol... Did I mention that it succeeded my expectations and made me cum back for more & more... Letting me push my own boundaries at my own pace...

Collared shirts only - in Portland. Keep it weird, avoid this place.Edit to response from owner:I inquired if there was anything I could do, doorman just said I wasnt going to be allowed in. I was wearing a specialty artistic t-shirt with a fitted black jacket (and a warm jacket over it because November), and some funky pants, I wasnt just sloppily dressed, my partner had a nice dress on. Keep your sexist old fashioned midtown NYC dress codes out of Portland, maybe figure out styles and fashions more coherent with your location.

A friend surprised me by taking me to club privata. I was completely surprised to say the least. What great place to have fun and enjoy something new. Staff were really pleasant and very inviting. We plan on going back soon!

Never going back to this place. For 1 people had there phones out the full time and taking pictures of people and taking on the phone. And I had people grab my paddles and flogger too. Never going back the staff wasnt helpful and its no worth going. Unless you are part of there click...

I already had legitimate complaints about this club…lgbtq bias, having to step into a social worker role for an out of control customer while security stood by aggravating instead of resolving the situation, general body bias, insecurity about local business competition to the point of cancelling memberships of popular attendees, etc., but seeing disclosure of someone’s attendance record in a review response is downright unconscionable business practices, and any additional stars I’d of given historically will never be offered now.

Molly and I love the doctors table, the food, the vibe, and the discretion. We can come here, party, watch the exciting peep doing exciting things, eat good and go back to our routine lives.That doctors table and privacy allows us,to enjoy our own private fun fantasies.PRIVATA is the place to party!!!

She said she felt safe there. Everyone was very polite and attentive. She is 79 and was worried that noone would approach.( or that someone would! ). Well someone did and she enjoyed it. She also said that she would definitely return.

To give proper credit and accolades to the manager that night for handling the situation as well as possible and going the extra mile by giving us a free pass for another event; so needless to say I was satisfied with the outcome overall and pleasantly surprised by the consideration given, and rightly so given I was robbed on premises in the comfort of my own play room after paying a higher than usual cover for the exchange of an upscale environment that I should have been able to relax and enjoy without worrying about something so trivial as theft; but I digress. The percs of this club include: •lockers (pay for lock {sn: yes I purchased a lock & yes I was still jupped})• late night food/breakfast spread served•multiple levels for a more spread out environment• very well ventilated•properly stocked sexual essentials•friendly yet negligent staff , no offence but idk how upscale it is if I hafta worry about my used sex toys; Im still quite baffled as to how someone got away with my used sex toys within a matter of minutes when I was less than 20 ft away. smfh}

Wife and I went for new years party. It was our first time ever going to a club like this. We had a awesome time and cant wait to go back.

This is my wife and Is favorite place. It is very well ran, clean, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. They have recently updated, remodeled, and rebranded and it is even better than before.
