Fraud/scammers! They charge a hidden 20% service charge when paying for drinks…then provide the typical Clover/Square 15/20/30% tip. They won’t tell you about it unless you ask for a receipt. Ordered 2 drinks and it was $10 each, ended up paying about $30 due to 20% service charge I didn’t know about, then a 20% tip because I’m a good person.

Great place to listen and dance Latino music. Great DJ. All staff is pleasant but the “manager” who was not able to provide a reasonable answer when we asked him why the bottle we bought was opened when they brought it to our table.He also went to “cry” to his security guards when I asked him about the rest of the bottle before we left the place…”Suavecito” needs a “manager” who cares about customer service and its staff.

Tread carefully.We were charged an $11 service fee on a $55 tab. When approached about it the man who claimed to be the manager said this was a charge they had no control over and that there was usually a sign but they forgot to put it up today. He said its an automatic tip. After insisting we wont pay for something we had no idea about, they agreed to refund it out of the tip jar but put it back on the card we paid with. We have not received the refund yet, we are waiting to see if it arrives.Additionally, the $4 Heinekens we bought ended up being $6 because that was the happy hour menu, which it says nothing about on the online menu we were directed to.Like one of the other recent reviews says, this bar is not honest. They would not give us the name/phone number of the owner or manager because the man there said he was the manager and wont give out any personal or business phone numbers.We were there at just over 10pm on a Thursday night.The bartender did great, despite this issue.

If you want an honest place, this isn’t it. When a bartender tells you, “ Don Julio is $12” and then charges you $13 and $15 that is some sketchy business. As well, their online menu says that their Modelo especial is $4 but ends up charging $6. Couple bucks isn’t the issue it’s the honesty which was no where to be found. Beware to check the price on the menu and make sure they charge you correctly. Make sure to use the QR code menu at their restaurant to ensure you’re paying the correct price. Best of luck.

Place is alright, the music was good biggest issues were the long line to the bathroom and the prices on drinks they kept changing them each time I’d go up to the bar other than that the vibes were great!

We were visiting from Austin for a cousins wedding, and only had Sunday night to party in Portland. Thankfully, our hotel was just a block away from a couple of places, so we headed to Suavecito after seeing it was also a nightclub. How lucky that we found a club that played reggaetón in a city as white as Portland!! lol We loved the DJ and even though Sunday wasnt as poppin as Im sure a Friday or Saturday night would be, we still had a lot of fun. One worker, maybe the manager, was wearing many hats and we were impressed at how on-top of it he was. He checked our IDs, but also checked on us at our table, and also worked behind the bar. Love it when we see dedication like that, and only just now remembering a few days later that we drunkenly made a promise to ourselves to leave a review for this place. This is definitely a stop we will be making again next time were in PDX. Keep it weird yall!

Reviews definitely did not lie! First night here lastnight after wanting to try this place out fir like ever... FOOD, SERVICE & MUSIC IS AMAZING!!! ♥️ Definitely hubby and It’s type of vibe/scene. We will for sure be their regulars!

I made a reservation online for a party of 15 for my birthday dinner to confirm I message the Suavecito Instagram page and they replied with i got you and then I said thank you for confirming I’ll let my guest know. when we get there they told me there was no reservation made nor was there a deposit paid but I was never told that I had to pay a deposit and then I showed them the messages and they told me they didn’t know who was sending those messages and there was nothing they could. Worst experience

So good. Best fries and beef I’ve ever had. The fish tacos are to die for and the rice and beans are absolutely sent from heaven! I will come here every time I visit Portland! Thanks O’Neil!

Make sure you order drinks you know you would like (even if you havent tried it) (if thats even possible) because you will get charged for them either way. Ordered the my henny took one drink and it was absolutely horrendous! Sent it back and was told sorry the bartender is still going to charge you. I guess a business has to make their money.

Went to a friends birthday last night and I was blown away by how fun and safe this place is. The security team are the nicest people ever

Mule was good but I ordered fish tacos with rice ... got like 6 fries tossed on top and it was pretty dam salty. Guess thats what I get for going to a dance club by myself.

Just showed up to check this place out despite the reviews. The door was locked and there was no sign on the door… complete waste of time. There were employees inside who saw us at the door that didn’t bother coming to the door. Google and their website both stated they were open.

Barely flavor in the food and unfriendly staff. Don’t waste your time or money, there are definitely better places. Not sure who would give 5 star reviews for this place.

Ordered the Ceasar salad add Chicken and fiancé ordered the Empanada. Both were incredibly delicious. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Staff was friendly as well. 10/10 recommend.

The have a “dress code”. I was asked to leave because I am a GUY and was wearing open toed shoes (Birkenstock’s). All of the girls I was with were okay to stay - ALL OF THEM WERE WEARING SANDALS.. I don’t get it?

Price gouging to the max! they start off at $20 to get in, then shoot up to $60 just because they can. Wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you know someone who can get you in.

Due to the negative reviews I won’t even try to step into this place. The people have spoken and I really wanted to try this place out be they spared my time!

This place has some of the best Latin djs in pdx. I get treated like family. Latino owned and always lit.

They like to take advantage of people who want to go in. They were asking me for 40 bucks If I wanted to go in!!! That’s ridiculous!

Based on my experience, I think that it needs better DJs to work on the interaction and animation, plus the audio is turned up too high for the small space it is, you leave with a head that resonates for days..

It is an expensive and ordinary place, they make you wait in a line as if you were going to a VIP, 20 dollars for the entrance, 100 dollars for the table, for each drink you order they charge you 3.99 that they do not explain to you what it is and on top of that you have You have to leave a tip, its a heavy atmosphere on 2 occasions there was a fight and they were bringing out very violent drunks, we had a rude guy who approached us and since we didnt want to dance he was rude, in general its not a good place, I dont recommend it .

The place is very bad, it is very small, they lie about the prices, and now the entrance is $40, bad service, not worth it.
