First time dancer here. Tried a few schools/events before but never really got hooked until I tried classes with Robbie. Ive been doing 2-3 classes per week (for 4 weeks) and my dancing at social events has already drastically improved. Beginner classes are very beginner friendly (duh) and you dont need to bring your own partner.

Ive been taking classes with Robbie for the last few years and have significantly improved my bachata skills from footwork to styling. Classes are always fun and convenient with times so that you can make it after work without rushing. Best part of Bachata San Diego are the group socials which allow you to practice all the skills youve learned and meet other dancers in the community.

A great place to get start or continue learning bachata, salsa, styling, and get 1:1 instruction.Based at Dance Headquarters (HQ), the location is convenient and spacious. It is close to several major highway exits and has ample free parking.Lessons are affordable, non-judgmental and (most-importantly) fun! Robbie is an experienced instructor with clear communication and an eye for detail.Socials organized by Bachata San Diego are always a blast. Fantastic music and dancers of all levels. And ALWAYS following public health guidelines regarding COVID.With Bachata San Diego, you will be ready and out social dancing in no time!

I am VERY satisfied with the teachings of Robbie! He gets down to the fundamentals of bachata and all those little details that makes someone go from a good dancer to a great dancer. Robbie provides mini patterns which trains the brain to be quick and instinctive upon a dance. He provides a friendly environment and his assistant Haley is the best! Both Robbie and Haley are professionals and they make you feel welcome to the class. Both his beginner and intermediate classes are worth every penny!!

San Diego has lots of great latin dance instructors but this is the top spot for Bachata-specific dance training and great parties. Best music played at the socials as well from my experience. Highly recommended.

I went to the Friday night class last week and had a blast. Bring your friends or a significant other, and learn to dance some bachata together! It was my first time but I will definitely be coming back up in May.
