Happy Head Foot Reflexology and Massage - Pacific Beach

During my visit to Pacific beach I needed a massage after a long day. I called at 8PM and even though they closed at 9PM the receptionist was very kind and helpful and told me to come in. They took me in as a walk in within the hour of closing and I got the hour Swedish massage. The gentleman that did the service was very professional and asked if I was okay with the pressure during the service and eased up if I said it was too hard or firmed more on the areas I needed more focus. The place is clean, and has great background therapy music to make you feel relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place.

Do the mixed massage and ask for Razn if you want the best stretch and deep tissue experience of your life. This place is a find- Kaaliyah at the front is a star and makes you feel right at ease and Razn is a hidden gem massage master who will quietly come in and twist and pull you on magnificent ways without making you feel like your limbs ever lift themselves: truly incredible. Just another San Diego treat to look forward to at my next visit. Thank you ladies!

As always, this place does not disappoint. Whenever I call they always have availability to fit me in. I called at 5pm and Jasmine fit me in the same day at 7pm. I never have to worry about thinking to book weeks in advance. Jenna was amazing at deep tissue. She understands what your body needs and focuses on those areas without you having to tell her. It’s always a pleasure to come here and I leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Had lower back pain went in for a deep tissue massage. Lily did an amazing job! Ive went other places and their deep tissue wasn’t hitting the right areas. Feel so much better and jasmine at the front desk was very helpful and polite. Will be returning most definitely.

I feel absolutely amazing after my 120 min deep tissue today! Lily made my day with getting all of the tension out of my body! I’ve paid for expensive overpriced massages at the ritz Carlton that weren’t as good as Lily’s massage at Happy Head today! Very satisfied! I will be coming back!

Enjoyed my 60 minute reflexology massage after a 3 day backpacking trip. I feel like all areas of my body that I needed were massaged the way I needed and I feel much more relaxed. Would recommend this to anyone needing to loosen their muscles and relax.

With a friend, yesterday, we decided to get a relaxing Swedish massage at Happy Head and I’m not happy at all. In fact, I’m in pain and suffering this morning even after the medicine I took yesterday evening, after feeling the soreness of my body immediately after the massage.The massage was so brutal for me and for my friend. We were telling the ladies massaging us to do it softer, they softened their touch but it was still too harsh.I was yelling “Ouch!! No! Stop! Softer, softer!”I told the receptionist that it was a torture and not relaxing at all, as it was supposed to be!I payed $80 and I gave the tip (of course you have to) to be in pain right now especially my right waist. I was in good shape before the massage and now I don’t know if I’ll be able to perform my belly dancing show on Saturday.I don’t like to put bad reviews for businesses, I have a small business and I know it hurts but people must know that a massage experience here could turn out bad, as it happened to me.

Kind of expensive for a reflexology foot massage place. Massage was good, but they emphasize tipping too much. To further that, it’s cash only, and the ATM doesn’t work.

My boyfriend and I got full body massages here a few weeks back - deep tissue 90 minute massages.The pressure could have been a bit more but after asking a few times for more pressure I accepted it was as deep as it was going to get. The price is relatively inexpensive, the environment is clean and professional.

Its a damn good massage without all the nonsense of booking other places.

The massage therapist, Lilly, made my back feel great. She may be tiny, but she’s strong.

Receptionist put more enthusiasm into explaining how tipping works than a genuine greeting. The massage room had no music, no aroma, nothing but a ticking clock to distract from the deep tissue massage (which appropriately is not soothing) It was awkward. The massage therapist slapped my hands and hit my feet in what felt like comedic guesswork by someone giving a massage for the first time. Her hands made fast, erratic movements, and switched between body parts with no transition - at one point from head to feet - preventing me from ever adjusting, relaxing.As soon as I walked out, the receptionist asked about tips again…It’s a service. Why on earth would I tip for service when it was service I paid for? I’m not buying a product, a meal, and then tipping for the manner in which it was served to me, from the very beginning of our transaction I am expressly paying for a service. Would you have not done as quality a job at the sole element of our transaction had I not tipped? Would you have not serviced the service with as good service without a tip?

I definitely would not recommend for a prenatal massage. They didn’t give me any intake form when I got there to list out trouble areas. And my massage therapist didn’t speak English so I couldn’t really communicate what I wanted with him. Additionally, for the last 10-15 minutes of the massage he asked me to lay on my back, which is not comfortable or even really safe for pregnant women. I thought once he turned me to my back that he was going to prop me up with something (like they have at other massage centers) but he didn’t. Also the “pillow” for under my head had to be requested, and it was hard plastic and not enough for me to be comfortable. And what they gave me to put between my legs for support was also not really a pillow but also a hard object. Clearly there’s no true consideration, training or education around prenatal care and comfort, so they shouldn’t offer it.

I had a swedish massage wich is supposed to be the most relaxing one. But it was very tough (and I have asked several times the therapist to do it softer) so not relaxing at all. I even got a pain on my back after that.

Much much needed spa time, Happy Head was amazing!! The massages were perfect, wish I had come sooner. The massage therapists were so professional. Definitely would come back

Wife and I got a couples massage here while on our babymoon. We both agreed it was the best massage either one of us has had! My wife was pregnant so she had a prenatal massage and they catered to all her aches and pains associated with being pregnant. As for me, I struggle with back pain and they relaxed every muscle in my back and I felt wonderful afterwards. Highly recommend! P.S. bring cash for tip as they have limited cash in the till to give employees.

We didnt know what to expect when choosing this place because its rankings were not as high as many others. But the price was right so we decided to go. Im very glad we did.This was easily the best massage Ive ever received, and other members of the party we were with confirm that theres were equally good. The best parts where that the staff was very friendly and willing to explain the different services, the therapist was very attentive, and the price was definitely right. Would highly recommend.

Went to this place for a pregnancy massage & seriously it was a joke for them. This wasn’t my first one so I knew how it goes. The massage therapist didn’t even know how to make me feel comfortable just forget about the massage. He kept asking me questions in my ear, made me more uncomfortable & it felt like a joke. Not at all a pleasant experience.

Great place for a massage, one of the ones I had is 60 minute 39 $ Asian foot massage . This includes the whole body massage in the main area with clothes. If you dont feel like getting full massage. The place is very pleased and relaxing. During the massage the masseuse always ask if its ok, so they are not hurting you. They dont speak much english, besides the receptionist, but that is not a problem for me as long as I am getting a good massage. There is always a way to communicate to what you want. You definitely cant beat the prices. They do ask for tip, mainly because they live on it. My experience was good.

It hurt so good that we went back for seconds! The Asian Fusion Massage was a little intense (youll be sore from having elbows digging into your back), but they definitely worked out the knots! The Swedish massage was nice and relaxing. Price is right, and the ambience is very relaxing.

Hi all :) This place is a must go!!! I love to release stress in many ways and Im very particular as to where I go to find that release. My husband, Bill, and I booked a couples private Thai Fusion massages on our 9 year wedding anniversary! Best and most wise decision ever made. I had received a gift card from Happy Head from 3 attorneys I work for. They appreciate all my hard work, therefore, chose this Happy location for me to unwind, relax and get my chi running smoothly and happily again :) Ive already shared with many of my friends and co-workers in downtown SD to go and get stress relief there. Also my hubby also was amazed! We will DEFINITELY be booking our next couples massage in a couple months!!

Got the full body deep tissue massage and it was amazing. The receptionist was great and the masseuses were awesome. I left feeling like a whole new person. The prices were very fair as well. Five stars for sure.

The masseuses here are like spider monkey assassins who will perch up on your back and beat the living hell out of your soreness with moves you never knew even existed. Super affordable, and with that comes the responsibility to tip accordingly. Expect to drop 15 - 25 on tip after the base fee. Still comes out at a better rate than the other big chain massage places. The Happy Head massage is super, and the rooms and amenities for couples massages are private and very warm and comfortable. Bring your partner and let the muscle ache hitmen do their thing 💥👋👏👊💆

I haven’t felt this good in a very long time. This massage was near perfect. I am very picky and am a tough critic when it comes to a massage. Mark was precise, professional, and extremely intuitive. I can’t wait to go back for my next session.

Sometimes okay, sometimes not. Although I provide feedback for the issues, I dont believe they always so something about it. Im not sure the front staff cares about your concerns either. My husband had a bad experience where his massage therapist continuously hit his genitals on his head during a massage. Ive had experiences where I had to ask to switch because their hands were covered in cigarette smoke, or their breath was unbearable. Either way though, a massage is a gift and Ill continue to take my chances!

If I could give zero stars I would. SUPER unprofessional and sketchy, the receptionist spent 25 yes TWENTY FIVE minutes going over the “paperwork” with me treating me like a 4-year old (I’m an Ivy League grad medical student??) and by that time I could only have enough time for maybe a 40-45 min massage. I got the feeling that the therapists are not even LEGAL, this dippy receptionist said I wasn’t allowed to TALK to my therapist or any of the therapists ever because they wouldn’t understand English???? And only the receptionist was allowed to communicate with them? And then the place will not allow the use of Arnica for massage yet meanwhile it’s IN their products which they try to push push push on you when you walk in. What an idiotic business. You all just ruined my day and wasted a lot of my time.

Great massage! Actually deep tissue, I felt very relaxed after. Would be nice if the temperature in the place warmer, but the price is great for what you get.

Very whatever massage. I was bent in painful and odd ways in the beginning. Didnt come out feeling refreshed but rather a little tighter. They didnt focus on the area I needed work on and right when it seemed like my pain point was going to get worked the massuse changed directions. Unfortunate tease. Expensive and they wait out front for a tip, awkward pressure residually bc the massage was poor

Have had some wonderful reflexology done at the Pacific Beach location, this time was only so-so. Others in our group said that usually they have a great experience, but this time they were also a little disipointed. The points keep changing, so it is difficult to earn a free massage.

Really peaceful ambiance for the main room that hosts the $35 massages. One of the best and least expensive massages Ive had. Exceeded expectations. Note that you cant tip with a credit card (they have an ATM with a $1.50 fee) so bring some cash.

Am over from England passed Happy Head today and called in on the off chance they could fit me in. What an enchanting place once you go through the doors. Had an hours head, foot and neck/shoulder massage AMAZING will certainly be going back there before I leave San Diego.

An incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone. I have had the hour massage twice and both times afterwards I experienced a euphoric High. I highly recommend this to everyone, and I cant wait till the next time.

I used to have great things to say about this place. Recently I paid fora 90 min deep tissue, it was at best mediocre. The massuese seemed like she just read a book on giving massage. Waste of $90!

Within California and Ive traveled internationally having reflexology massages, but this place by far my favorite. Their full body with focus on the feet and legs is excellent.

$29 one hour foot reflexology massage is awesome. Not all masseuses are created equal so ask the receptionist to make a recommendation based on what you like.
