Mellow Massage

My mom and I had massages for her 81st birthday. We both agreed it was amongst the very best we’ve had. Simply heavenly! We are savoring how wonderful it was and our skin feels amazing too! Will definitely come back when we’re at the beach for our annual family vacation. We get massages often and wish you were in Phoenix.

Wonderful vibes and atmosphere, kind and professional therapist, and an amazing massage for a very good experience, especially for a first timer like me. Would definitely recommend giving a try, just dont let the price scare you if you are looking to treat yourself. Im definitely booking another massage later down the line.

Don’t waste your time like me. Booking was easy I was happy to see they had a open appointment for the following morning. I decided to treat myself since I’ve been having lower back pain. I booked the 80 minute massage. 80 minutes must have been how late the masseuse would be. I was called by their office at 9am. A hour before my appointment. Trying to talk me into a membership with them. I agreed and headed down for the massage. I was in the lobby at 9:57 for my 10am appointment. I sat in the lobby with my back hurting for 45 minutes. Never saw one employee the entire time. I eventually called the number that talked me into a membership. His way of solving the issue was giving me a free massage 6 hours later at the downtown location. For those who don’t know downtown is a nightmare and I wouldn’t ever book anything down there. Don’t waste your time they don’t care about their customers and only want your money.

My partner, Janet, and I had an awesome experience with our massage therapists this afternoon. Mark was an incredible therapist. He listened to me, was very sweet, and attentive to my needs. This was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday eve. I would most definitely recommend Mellow Massage to anyone.

I had a wonderful experience at the mellow massage all 3 times a went there! The salon ambiance was beautiful and it had a pleasant aroma that set a relaxing tone right from the start. The therapists ( Jake and Garrett) were professional and skilled, ensuring a rejuvenating experience. Mellow has been a wonderful hidden gem for me and my partner. We were recommended to visit from a friend and have loved our visits so far. Jacqueline was my therapist today and she was phenomenal! She works most days of the week so it makes it easy and convenient to get a little self care in. The membership is definitely worth it. Go spoil yourself and enjoy a massage at mellow.

I received my first massage from Mellow today. The decor and ambiance sets a relaxing mood. The massage bed was heated. My masseuse was highly intuitive and had a very relaxing touch. She incorporated her many years of knowledge into my bodywork and knew exactly what was going on in my life based on my back muscle tension! It absolutely blew my mind. Plus, it was great conversation. 50+ minutes went by like 5. I will be back. The membership so far is worth it very much so.

I have had a membership at mellow for over 6 months now and I love it. All the staff have been exceptional. I’m an athlete with history of a lot of injuries, Raziel was very effective in using cupping methods to work on my significant scar tissue. My mobility was improved walking out the door. Next appointment is already booked.

Mark was welcoming and accommodating. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He was knowledgeable and helped me relieve pain on my lower back, hips, and my shoulders. He was respectful and friendly. He was very genuine!

The Pacific Beach location is my favorite. Its well lit, sleek design and friendly staff.My recent massage therapist, Sarah, was great. She istened to my needs and made my 80 minute massage an absolute relaxing experience.

One of the best massages I’ve had. I did the 50 min Swedish massage and feel amazing afterwards. The atmosphere is very clean and relaxing, I will definitely be back again!

Canceled massage minutes before arrival. Once we got there, there was no one to talk to, they couldnt offer any reasonable alternatives to reschedule over phone. Very frustrating and wasted an Uber ride.

Just got my second massage at Mellow Massage in Pacific Beach. They are wonderful: very accommodating and easy to schedule. The staff is supper helpful and the massage were very relaxing. Just what I was looking for.

So grateful to have found Mellow Massage and Im so happy its such a quick drive from home. Ive had a membership for over a year now and its been the best way to keep up with monthly massages (sometimes Ill add an extra one when needed). Dev is incredible as well as every other therapist Ive worked with. They all are deeply knowledgable, skilled at body work, and many have experience rehabbing sport injuries. Recently have been working with Michael who has incredible energy. Its a beautiful, calming space. Everyone is super professional and kind. So many add-ons like essential oils, cupping, hot stones, cbd oil — all of which Ive tried 😇 also free parking in the back. Thank you Mellow!!!!

Today was my second time having a massage at mellow massage with Sarah and she is incredible! she focuses on the areas that we need attention most and does not oversell on things we don’t want. the service received was outstanding especially for the price point. I went with my fiancé for a couples massage and he was worked on by Kate who also did a great job! we will definitely be returning for future services!

Last month I booked a restorative massage at Mellow through ClassPass, and thank god I did! Though the outside is unassuming, the inside is a beautiful and calm atmosphere. Kate was absolutely amazing and really catered the massage to my body. She took the time to talk me through what she was feeling with my problem areas, which I greatly appreciated. I loved my experience so much that I became a member that same day, and now get to look forward to my monthly massages with Kate!

Jessie is very knowledgable about anatomy and works hard to remove all knots. Very happy with the massage here and cleanliness and smell of the studio.

Jacqueline is amazing! She made sure to ask me all the areas of focus, and made sure to ask if any areas were sensitive or uncomfortable for her to work on which I appreciated. I have gotten 3 or 4 massages at Mellow Massage in PB, and I just can’t stop going back!! I have seen a new therapist each time, and they are all amazing. The place is very clean and comfortable making it easy to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of real life for an hour or two. Highly recommend this place!

My very first time at Mellow, I had a wonderful experience working with Colby. His flow was beautiful and relaxing, and at the same time addressed my needs with perfect pressure. The receptionist was friendly and quite informative as well.Edit*** Although a good experience- the experience as a therapist in this work place in unethical from many angles. I would say only a high end experience from the outside, and any therapist I have worked with here is worth way more than they are receiving here. I am completely swiping this business off of my resume, using it for what it was worth, so there was some very temporary value in the experience.

I just returned from my first visit to Mellow massage. Hanna was my masseuse. I asked for a light massage because some muscles I pulled. She was perfect. I walked back home and felt so light and free. Nothing aching. Of course I signed out for monthly visits And look forward to them

I just had a 50 minute restorative massage this morning with Kat and it was absolutely incredible. I had a baby 4 weeks ago and things have been so busy. My body just needed some time to relax and what a treat it was for myself. Kat did a wonderful job, I have sciatica and she focused on the areas that needed attention. She also gave me some advice on stretches I can do at home to help with my sciatica which I really appreciated. She was so kind and helpful, thank you Kat!

After browsing and researching different massage spas for a week or two I decided to schedule an 80 minute CBD massage here and I made the right choice. I had Yanislava and she did amazing, I felt better and was super relaxed after the fact! Also, the receptionist was also amazing, she was very friendly and helpful!

My son gifted me a 90 min hot stone massage for Christmas. My therapist was Jackie and let me tell you… hands down the best massage I’ve had in many years. Her pressure was just deep enough and her stones were just hot enough that I left there a gooey mess.If you’re on the fence about trying some place new… mellow massage is fantastic Jackie will not disappoint!!!

I cannot recommend Kate at Pacific Beach enough! She is so intuitive, has the most relaxing energy, remembers all your problem areas and really creates a plan for your visits, and MOST of all you can tell she genuinely cares. I’ve been seeing her for almost 6 months and I don’t plan on seeing anyone else any time soon. She is THE BEST !

Just had a 80mins hot stone massage appt with Jackie and it was great. I loved how simple and minimalism the place looked like, and how well trained and skilled Jackie was. Her touches were right on points with great pressure, it was super super relaxing.Have to comment on some details there: the table was heated, which was super nice to lay on. They have breast pillow! I’m breastfeeding and was worried about laying on my belly. Everything just worked out perfectly, recommend mellow!

Wow wow wow .Such an amazing experience from start to finish . I’m not usually someone that is able to fully relax in the moment and I got lost from the minute I laid down .The beds were so warm and comfy , great ambiance . All the staff are so welcoming and friendly, making me feel comfortable right away. I had Jessica as my masseuse and she was incredible! Using aromatherapy, positive affirmations, and great technique all for a very reasonable price. After my session my mind body and spirit all felt elevated.

Hannah crushed the massage. I went for the 80 minute option as 60 minutes always leaves me wishing it was 80 lol. I had some tough knots to get out and she released them like a pro.Mellow does an excellent job in the massage arena. The music is low-fi study style instead of the traditional waterfalls and chimes you get at other massage spots. I’ve had a lot of massages being a nurse (the typical back pain we all get) and Mellow is right up there with the best of them!

I would give no stars if I could. My husband booked us a couples massage for our anniversary a week in advance and they canceled the appointment the morning of through email. No phone call so we showed up and they tried to reschedule for another day but we took off work for this.

I regularly workout next door at yogabox and didn’t realize what hidden gem I have been passing! Today I had a great massage and a wonderful overall experience with multiple members of the team. April did a great job on relieving some of my knots and I feel refreshed and ready to conquer my next workout! Will definitely be going back and would absolutely recommend to a friend!

I recently had a lymphatic drainage massage with Patricia at the PB location, and I could not recommend it more! I had tried a lymphatic drainage massage in the past, but it did not compare! The next day I felt so much less watery and can tell these will be so beneficial for my health going forward. Patricia was very knowledgeable and friendly, and was educating me on different pressure points in the body and talking me through why she was doing what she did. The front desk staff was also very friendly. I got a membership and booked for next month because I enjoyed it that much!

I’ve booked 5 massages and 3 of the appointment times or masseuses have been changed without asking me. I canceled my membership after the 3rd time because it’s more of a hassle than anything.

Tara was fantastic. She made sure I was comfortable, explained the why behind the different areas she focused on for me, and made sure to ask ahead of time about any areas of concern. She studied Tuina massage in Shanghai, and utilized some of those techniques throughout the massage, which released tension in my neck and upper back that I didn’t even realize I had. After the massage, she recommended a few stretching techniques to help me as well. Excited for next months massage!

Kyna at the College Area location is wonderful. She’s thoughtful and knowledgeable, and is one of the best massage therapists I’ve found in San Diego! I signed up for the recurring monthly membership after my first appointment—and it’s 100% worth it! It’s a reminder to prioritize my self-care every month and it’s so cost efficient for the amazing services! Plus, my experience with the Mellow Massage customer service team when I had a question and needed to reschedule was great, too!

Mellow Massage singlehandedly fixed my persistent and debilitating back and neck issues. Ive been seeing Colby at the Pacific Beach location for a few months and he is truly a miracle worker. He takes the time at the beginning of each session to chat through needs and areas of concern so that each massage is targeted and tailored to working on what you need addressed. Incredibly effective and has fixed issues I was having with muscle tension, tension headaches, overall muscle ache and pain and immobility. Life changing and the space itself is gorgeous, chic, clean and calming. Im a forever client.

Had a great deep tissue massage here after getting a deal through my yoga studio. Heather really worked into all my tense spots and had we walking out a little sore, but relaxed - exactly what I needed from the massage.

My husband and I went in for a much needed couples massage. I am 8 months pregnant and he works 13-16 hr days in the military. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! We were luckily able to book separate services in the same room - an 80min prenatal with Apollo and 80 minute deep tissue with Raven.He raved about the relief he felt in his feet after and highly recommends RavenI have personally had one other prenatal massage, and Apollo by far exceeded my expectations. The spa provided a pillow to where baby and I could safely lay face down.Both of them were also very reassuring when it came to pressure and our comfortability.Absolutely worth it!! They deserve 10 stars if we could!

I had been getting routine massages for 10 years now as I am a nurse, and always looking for new businesses to be open to. I tried Mellow Massage and had a uncomfortable experience with my masseuse. I didn’t want to share a review, as I felt my experience with the masseuse shouldn’t reflect the business. However, the manager, after asking to hear my experience (an experience that is inappropriate for any woman or customer to have)—never responded to me after months of silence. I shared my experience incase other people expressed the same uncomfortable and unprofessional session I did, in hopes that my experience, as well as others, would be taken seriously and not overseen if it happened again. However, the lack of acknowledgment to my session was a disappointing response in itself.Workers and management of businesses that deal with physical contact who have had customers share an inappropriate or traumatizing encounter, that should never go unaddressed.Again, I’m a travel nurse and have enjoyed massages without any complains at multiple businesses in multiple locations—however I will never come back to Mellow Massage again. I hope any person who takes sexual or mental harassment seriously will also look elsewhere.

Best couples massage ever! The facility is very clean, modern, and spacious. I loved my therapist, Emma. My fiancé also said he had the best massage with April. They do their best trying to address any concerns and offer great packages for memberships. Will be back soon!

I’ve been to a lot of places across the country and this is by far the best place. It’s calming and inviting. The people at the front desk are so friendly. The massage therapist are top notch. They even tell you how you can get better results at home.

By far the most AWESOME massage studio Ive ever visited!! The studio looks like nothing else Ive seen, it was seriously impressive. Apollo was my masseuse, and boy did I feel like a new man!I signed up for the membership as they offered me a deal to use the credit for the same day (which normally they dont do, but I guess they were running a special) I have my future appts booked out, as you cant get in to see Apollo no matter how hard you try haha. I had a 50 minute session with Kyna and was amazed! We focused on my upper body since that’s where most of my pain comes from and I felt so much better after. The facility was very clean, I’ve been looking for a place near me in pacific beach. I booked another session and can’t wait to come back!

I got an 80-minute deep tissue massage with Chloe, and it may be the best massage I’ve ever had in my life. I’m very active and I travel a lot, so my neck/shoulders/back tension gets pretty bad pretty quickly. I often have a hard time getting massage therapists to use the firm pressure that I want/need, because I have a thin frame and they say they don’t want to “break me” haha. Chloe understood my needs completely, and checked in with me often to make sure it was enough/not too much. I will absolutely be back!

I’ve gotten a massage from Jasmine at the Hillcrest location and Apollo at the PB location. Both were amazing in different ways. Jasmine does a slower rocking with the massage that gets you instantly to relax. Apollo has a faster pace but really goes deep for those knots. Great service even when there’s been a cancellation on their end, they work with getting you a replacement right away. I got the membership which is worth it even if you only 1 massage a mo. I try to get 2/mo. I’m an RN so I really cannot function without these wonderful massages.

I tried the lymphatic massage, which I liked. It was firm, but relaxing. The place is very spacious and modern. Parking was tough on a Friday.

Had my first massage at Mellow and it was absolute bliss. I just signed up for a 50 minute restorative but wish I’d booked the 80minute. Sarah worked magic, she knew exactly which muscles needed work the most, released all my kinks, and her pressure was spot on. Would highly recommend if you like a deep massage for sore muscles. After my friend told me she loved the Hillcrest location, I decided to go ahead and book a same day appointment at the PB location, as that is where I was closest to. Someone from the facility texted me shortly after asking if I could come earlier. I told them I could try, but was unsure as I had something to do in North County and didnt know if Id definitely make it earlier. After explaining this twice, I was then texted asking if I wanted to upgrade to an additional 30 minutes. At this point, I find the whole interaction unprofessional and ask to cancel the appointment. I was then informed Id be charged a cancellation fee for an appointment that was booked 15 minutes before this whole interaction occurred. I reiterated I was only canceling the appointment because of their unprofessionalism and not because I didnt want the appointment. I clearly wanted a 50 minute massage at the time I choose for a reason and being pressured to upgrade makes me uncomfortable (and not somewhere I want to go to relax) Not surprisingly, I was charged a 50% fee for cancelling. I have contacted the main office in hopes they will rectify this and will be disputing the charge. Maybe the other locations are better, but I definitely wouldnt make an appointment at this location.

I planned a birthday surprise for my girlfriend. Little did I know that I needed the massage more than her and I’m a member now. I highly recommend Michael! I suffered some military related injuries and he has doing some great work on my injuries. I would recommend him for any athletic rehabilitation or regular massage. Staff is very friendly and communication is great.

I have been to PTs and chiros for various exercise-related issues and within one session he diagnosed and began treating problems that others have been unable to pinpoint. This session has enlightened and encouraged ways to relax. Mellow provides these fantastic enhancements such cupping, and wish I did cupping sooner. In my top 3 massage experiences! Just lovely, zen, natural interiors and ambience. The music was low-level acoustic and perfect background to zone out too. Focused on my requested areas while not skimping on a full body massage. This will be my regular spot from here on out!

I booked a massage for a friend’s birthday and she absolutely loved it. The environment was beautiful, the masseuse was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. She’s already booked a follow-up massage!

I had a perfect massage at Mellow Massage. Would highly recommend unwinding, relaxing, or getting the kinks out here. Appointment was easy to make with friendly staff. The therapist was very professional and listened to my requests. Will definitely be back.

The only promising thing about my experience is that my massage therapist, April, though very new, obviously has a lot of potential to be really great if she continues to practice and study. Everything else was utterly disgusting, outrageously embarrassing and shameful. There was literally a half-dead/half-alive cockroach on the ground. I could go on and on....but basically, just reach out to April, the massage therapist, and work with her directly somewhere else.

Cesar was excellent! He worked through my knots from lifting weights but also made it so relaxing. I can’t wait for my next appointment.

More than just a massage! Apollo not only listened to my areas of concerns, but then worked to correct those areas throughout the massage. My knees were especially in pain and Apollo focused on the pressure points in that area and released a lot of the pain I was having. I signed up for a membership and look forward to coming back monthly!

Had the most amazing lymphatic drainage massage with Guillermo! The space is beautiful and the vibes are great! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend mellow!

I’ve found masseuses at Mellow that I absolutely adore- Sierra being one of them at the Hillcrest location. Tommy another stellar one. There are some masseuses that aren’t my vibe but if there is someone for everyone. It’s a great place to go and feel relaxed

I followed massage therapist Michael from another SD practice to here. Im so grateful to have someone like him who can help me work through my pain and chronic issues. Michael is the best, but each staff member at Mellow Massage is kind and professional.

Don’t go for a lymphatic drainage massage. Absolute worst experience for this type of massage. The masseuse did not even massage my torso / stomach area at all. I left feeling worse than when I came in—more swollen, aggravated, and tense.

Great massage that addressed my sport stresses and injuries. I wouldn’t have been able to keep playing without addressing my issues and more importantly the maintenance of my body. Mellow massage is an important part of maintaining my lifestyle. Thank You MG!!

I went in to get relief for my leg and shoulder, I walked out with relief and reduction on my Dupuytren’s Contracture (Im having a surgical consultancy for next week) to the point that Im able to straighten my hand fully that I hadnt been able to do in almost 5 years of having the condition. 10/10 - Michael is a miracle worker.

Very nice place , reminds me of a upscale Feng shui Massage place but with simplicity. Tables can be heated which i like very much especially on a cold day . Ended up getting a membership for myself.
