CASONA Restaurant Bar Lounge

I came here with my boyfriend for dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm and found the place was pretty much empty. We walked in and the folks inside seemed to be getting ready and setting up the bar area, however we were seated for dinner quickly and our order taken. We shared a pitcher of sangria and ordered entrees, and the food was delicious! However, we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time and we left around 8pm. I will add that everything was nice about the experience however!

Maybe its a standard in the club industry, but the music was starting to hurt my ears with how loud it was. I wouldnt recommend wearing nice ballroom shoes there, the floors got them pretty dirty. Though again Im not used to clubs. My friend said the band was very good, the workers were very polite. I didnt see a vegan option, though didnt go there to eat so whatever.

I enjoy the food and the music. The rear section is large enough for small parties and the dance floor is a good size. The bathroom is small and the line can be long so be weary of that. The drinks are good but a tad pricey. The music is typically loud so if you are looking for a place to talk or are on a first date select another location but keep Casona on the list.

My review is based solely on the restaurant. The food looks good but thats about it. I have tried several plates, from appetizers to entrees; all were displeasing. Food is just horrible tasting, Ive had better at other local Latin restaurants. Their empanadas is the only thing Ive had thats edible, but again, I have had better. They do have great happy hour specials on Thursdays, I would only go for the drinks, which are OK.

Went with my girl and kids. The food was delicious. It had a nice small dining area I believe a patio option too. Definitely a place to go with my girl later in the evening without the kids.

They have live late music at dinner time on the weekends and salsa/bachata starts around 10pm with lessons. They also have another room with hip-hop and r&b music. So if you feel like a change you can swap between rooms! They also have a separate bar area if you ran there just lay low and hold good conversation.

Since Google rate between 1 and 5 I had no option of putting 1 but I would rate -1. I would not recommend this place to nobody. they discriminate you by the way you dress and you look. in the entrance they did not make any remarks and after two hour they kick us out. A business shouldnt judge you by your looks or the way you are. this was our first time and it will be our last time in this place. horrible and a waste of money. Do not go, because they judge a book by its covers...

Security was very welcoming! A nice setting with a live side and pretty nice Bartenders to boot( i mean Coyote ugly👀). Personally it was a special experience. Thank you CASONA!!!

I don’t know what tasted better, my middle school rice from the cafeteria or theres. The food was tasteless, there was absolutely no seasoning and everything needed salt. The service was awful, the waitress had an attitude, waited almost 30 minutes for the bill. Definitely not what I was expecting.

BEWARE OF GETTING ROBBED, NOT SAFE!I took a large group of 20 people there on Friday after work, only to walk outside after we ate to find that two of our vehicles were broken into. The vehicles were parked on the side, right in front of the two security guards who were sitting on chairs outside.The thieves emptied my car, taking thousands of dollars of items including my laptop, Burberry glasses, portable car charger, IPad, hiking boots, shoes, gifts, and other stuff I hid under the back seat. One of the security guards brought over a bag with a Ipod and few items that he said he took from one of the thieves, but what I could not understand was why didnt he call the cops... The whole thing just seemed fishy. And also the security guard told us that there are no security cameras on that side when asked if there were cameras. I would never go back to this restaurant and I am sharing this because I would hate to see something worse happen to someone because I didnt say anything about what happened to us.

HORRIBLE experience. Went to dance/have fun with my boyfriend and people were legitamenttaly TRYING to start fights with us for absolutely no reason. Be careful. people start fights for nothing or out of jealousy. Do NOT come here.

This review is strictly based on their nightclub life. Awesome place to go spanish dancing. Theyve got the hip-hop side, the bar area and then the big spanish dancing area (merengue, bachata, and salsa). I have not eaten their food so I cant comment on that.

No parking!!Waitied 20m just to be greeted another 20m to be seated. Food is not spectacular the wings seemed like premade frozen wings and deep fried french fries lack seasoning. Chicken mofongo was tasted awful and idk what part of the meat the chicken came from it was rubbery and lacked flavor I asked to switch it out the waiteess told me she could not do that. Empandas lacked flavor the only food i enjoyed were the pinones and nachos. I would not recommend going for food. Eat before hand the music was good if you enjoy classics.

I had a blast we drove up from Worcester, MA . I thought wed wasted our time but nope i enjoyed it the night life... didnt get to try the food yet.....but will do and recommened to anyone, adult atmosphere no fights.....great music in the 2 rooms....

Terrible customer service, the manager or whoever she was clearly can’t multi task only focused on one table and then has bad communication skills with her employees because they tell you one thing and she comes with another. Definitely won’t be coming back here based off the customer service alone worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant In a long time !

Great food, good live bands, good salsa classes, good vibes. This is a great place to hang out with friends. I would highly recommend it to any spanish music lover.

Cheap drink specials, food is hit or miss, empanadas are good, flan is on thicker side but decent, sangria is average. bartenders are friendly but not particularly skilled. good entertainment, bands, djs, dance lessons. budget partying is its specialty, food and restaurant fare after thought.

Nice place for a night of dancing. Rooms for two styles of music and a decent sized bar. It gets real packed on a weekend so parking is a bit tough!

I planned my birthday here but when my friends and I arrived it was closed. Looks like its permanently closed. They could atleast update it on Google.

Love this place. Good food, live bands, big dance floor. One of my favorite date night spots.

Dinner and music with daughter and grandkids. Puerto Rican Christmas music excellent. Memories. La Parranda. My husbands culture. Felt COVID safe and nostalgia. Sorry there werent more people but those who were there enjoyed themselves.

For some ungodly reason kasona(La Casona) has fell into the same trap as all the other clubs in Hartford when it comes to Latin music.. If you want salsa, bachata or merenge it is not the place to go! Someone PLEASE suggest somewhere to get my SALSA FIX+

First timer. Only got to enjoy the club and really liked it. Good music, good people and good beverages. Cant wait to try the food.

Fun place to go dancing Thursday nights without the creepy guys usually found in Hartford. $10 CASH at the door gets you a solo cup drink and $2 refills.One sketchy part; they required me to leave my EpiPen in the car or I wasnt allowed inside ...

It was a good experience, with good music. Didnt take any pictures unfortunately, but maybe next time. It was very spacious and had a nice bar.

I really love this place, only 4 stars because they post too many pictures of people without their concern but the place is very nice and I have lots of fun every time I go there.

Completely unprofessional & rude. They didn’t allow my friend in because he had a white t-shirt.We drove over 1.5 hours to come here to only get turned away at the entrance

Terible Terible Terible Never will VIP there again Its mmm ot worth it .....Dj on Latin side Rudes Dj ever.....I saw the waitress 3 times when she brougth the bottle when she brougth the tap and when she brougth my credit card back to tell me card dint work having to use their Atm with same card charging 3.50 for each 200 $ VIP not worth it.....

Decent Spanish club thats been there for a long time. Musics ok. I never had the food, seeing as I only go there at night.

Went there after hours for salsa nite......was ok nothing over the top but exactly what I was expecting. Great music and dancing.

Casona is under new ownership and is completely renovated with beautiful staff and amazing service the food is great the live bands are awesome I strongly recommend anyone to visit this fine restaurant it is completely different from past ownership.

Well, we literally were kicked out cause my friends daughter toes were in pain and she took her shoes off and literally because she was in pain but then things got messy cause its the first time I hear, put your shoes on like what if we dont want too the floor is nasty is our problem, it was kind of messsy but whatever I DONT LIVE FOR CASONA STILL so its like WHATEVER as soon as I started to have fun I got dragged into idk what hahaha but it was cool, so funny and messy, we all love a bit of drama sometimes. Yaaaaas bitchhh

I liked the two stations music center but I didnt like the fact of have a cameraman filming everything and putting the camera right in front of you.

2 spaces with a variety of Latin music. I went on a Saturday and I was able to enjoy it as a couple. Good atmosphere to go as a couple or alone. Full but not at capacity. People between 25-45. You ask for ID at the entrance, there is an entrance fee, the beers are a little expensive.

I think the security is a bit rude and pushy with the customers who go to this place they are very ostentatious and they really treat the customers who pay to enter that place with a lot of ostentation I would really suggest to all people looking for a pleasant night quiet and where they are treated with respect that they will look for alternatives other than the big house Unless the owner takes action on the matter

I didnt find any flavor in the food, the seafood paella has chicken and sausage if you order q. I dont know what they add, you have to pay more for the substitution, the mofongo doesnt taste like mofongo, it tastes like mashed vegetables with sauce. After ordering and trying they told me that they changed the cook, it was NOT a pleasant experience.

I dont like it at all. At one time, the house was very good but now its not the same. The food and security have changed a lot because they even charge you for ice. Its a shame its not the same as before. Okay.

Terrible place, they dont let you enter if you wear a cap or a white shirt. Drive an hour to get to that place and they tell me I cant enter because Im wearing a white shirt. The security is very rude.
