I received a gift certificate for Rama Massage for a 90 minute massage.On my 50th birthday I decided to treat myself to my first massage, since pre covid (I used to have weekly massages).I was extremely disappointed when the manager decided to make this an uncomfortable situation because they apparently increase their rates since the certificate was purchased.It took me 40 minutes for them to tell me that the price increased by only $10!I felt horrible that “CeCe” had to deal with the situation, but it’s petty lame to not accept a gift certificate from your business.They wasted 40 minutes plus drive time on my birthday, over just $10They could’ve had a new customer for life, for just $10Again, I asked for the price that was paid for the gift certificate and only after 40 minutes was I told there was just a $10 difference.To say I’m disappointed right now is an understatement.I love Thai people and support their businesses…But this was a bad business decision.

Can’t say enough good things about this massage practice. They are friendly, clean, and give an amazing Thai massage.The several times I have come the massage has always been above expectations, and I feel better every time I leave.Would highly recommend you give them a try, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Just had Kevin (I believe that was his name?) for 90 minutes and it was HEAVENLY. It was $90 for 90 minutes. I added on aromatherapy for $15 and CBD oil for $15 and it made an incredible difference. I paid a $138 total after 20% tip. Talk about affordable.It is Thai massage, so they do get on top of you and stand on your back. Only your back is massaged, nothing on the front of your body.I felt like he not only got all the kinks and knots and tightness out, but he got blood flowing through my entire body. I will come back here when I want my back massaged again.I will not come back if I’m wanting hands, feet, or neck massaged. That isn’t their specialty here.But their back massage?? WOW!!!! I can’t rave about this place any more!

This is the best they actually help your body feel better I love the way NANA worked on my body very professional 👏 💗. Ive gone to expensive locations like la jolla and they hurt my body more than help I had pain for over 2 months and came back to Rama and fixed my pain. Keep up the good work you guys.

First thai massage, and damn it was good. Be prepared, they will fold you into a pretzel and crack every bone in your back, but its worth it!

Went for a couples massage and this was a great experience. It’s different than your typical massage and we both felt great afterwards. My body cracked in places I didn’t even know and the nice stretch along with the pressure points and massage was great. I’d highly recommend this place for a nice experience. The only thing is the walls are quite thin so you can hear talking in alternate rooms so don’t go into this expecting a typical spa like massage but it was excellent! I recently had an incredible massage experience at this location! The masseuse was attentive, using the entire 60 minutes to address every part of my body. They skillfully incorporated back popping and stretching, making it the best massage Ive had since arriving in Cali. Highly recommend!

I hadnt been to this place for a long time but was in the area and looking for a massage. I had always had a good experience but did not on this occasion. I wasnt even going to write a review but I am in a decent amount of pain today. I didnt realize when she first came in but she was a very large woman. At one point she stepped on my back and I asked her to get off. She tried it again and told her again not to step on my lower back.I dont think she had too much formal training and the massage bordered on dangerous. She used her feet way too much and spent to much time in the same spots till she nearly bruised the area. It was a 90 minute massage and she used her feet for maybe over half. At that level of pressure you cant tell if the person your massaging is in discomfort.I also think she had trouble stabilizing herself and a number of times she put too much pressure. She put pressure on my head going backwards and I had to ask her to stop a number of times.For reference I have had a lot of massages and in a lot of different countries. This includes Thailand when I lived there. This was nothing like a Thai massage, it was more like a foot assault.

I had the therapeutic massage and it was so relaxing that I wanted to sleep. I felt better the next day than I have in years. Very professional and friendly service. I am recommending Rama Thai Massage to anyone who wants a good quality massage at a very reasonable and affordable cost.

Been here a couple times and can say that Rose and also Irish give a fantastic Thai style massage in their own way. Each masseuse has slightly different techniques so I like to try different ones. Excellent service!! Naan was my massager,and she was absolutely amazing. I had the Swedish Thai massage. Naan was very thorough and kind. The atmosphere was very tranquil. She would ask intermittently how I was doing. The bed and face pillow were very comfortable. Wish I had that bed in my own home!! My husband made the appointment online, with reasonable prices. The website was easy to follow,lots of add ons to choose from. Like CBD or essential oils. I opted for the heated rocks, which I had never done before. It was amazing how she incorporated the rocks into her massage. If I am ever in SD again I will definitely be making an appointment to see them again!

So, it was a great experience for my first massage. My wife called and booked me an appointment for the following day. I only had to fill out a form and was ushered straight to my room. I didnt get my masseuses name, but she was amazing. She asked what I wanted her to focus on, and she went to work. I have nothing to compare it to, so 5 stars it is! Will definitely be coming back.

Therapists are amazing, I especially love Iris and Tina, but you will be happy with everyone from staff. They’re very professional, know their moves and it’s true Thai Massage experience!They never cut time like in other places, it’s always full hour of highest quality service. Price is fair and no problems with parking.Highly recommended!

Had an awesome massage. I was unable to lay on my stomach but Star did great working on my upper back, neck and shoulders. She also helped to massage my frozen left shoulder. I also got an awesome scalp massage, which Ive never had and will request again. I will probably sign up for a package because its a better deal and I will definitely be coming here on a regular basis.

I had the most amazing experience!! I had been suffering with serve neck & shoulder pain/tightness and the stretches, deep tissue massage & hot rocks helped me so much. My jaw dropped when my masseuse cracked my back in 3 places; she also really help loosen my neck and got the knots out of my shoulders. I’m so grateful!!

One of the best massages that I have had. More of a therapy session, but very good bone the less. I have been here 5 times. 3 of the visits with a sweet older lady “NOP” that does not disappoint, she goes out of her way to make sure the session is helping your issues! After checking out at least a dozen massage spots in San Diego, I finally found my go to place! A Thai massage is not your typical Swedish massage. Although they do incorporate some Swedish massage techniques, a good portion of the massage is Thai style where they are stepping and walking across your body. The massage therapist holds onto the bars on the ceiling and on the walls to adjust the weight they bear on your body. They will also give you amazing stretches!I have seen Iris twice, and she’s great. Her pressure and technique is spot on. I believe they also use tiger balm (or something similar), so there’s a nice, cooling sensation that helps to alleviate muscle aches.This will now be my regular go to massage place with Iris.

The BEST stretch and deep tissue massage. Get the full treatment on your first visit if you are really in need of a through body massage & experience. That would be a 90 minute massage with three additional treatments of hot stones, aromatherapy and CBD. This is a truly moving experience and feels like a short vacation. This is not your typical massage. The lady did an amazing job and also did stretching exercises that helps loosen my back and shoulders. I wish we lived in San Diego so we could come here more often.

After getting a gift certificate for Christmas, I finally made an appointment for yesterday to come in for a relaxation massage. I arrived an 1 1/2 early to have time to enjoy the facility. I took advantage of the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and lounge rooms prior to my massage. This place is great! It was a little crowded but I didnt have to wait for anything and the water, fruit, and toiletries were always replenished as before empty. My masseuse was right on time and the massage was professional and felt amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Oh my gosh I cannot even begin to explain how incredible Sarah was! From a review on yelp and boy, oh boy was I grateful to have had an hour of time! She was really such a great masseuse and she knows what she’s doing you will be in for a treat!!! Especially if you’ve never had a Thai massage! Cannot rabe enough about her and all the unraveling of knots and muscle pains that were dealt with!! I definitely have to go back!!

Just had a 90 minute massage with Amanda. Came here on the recommendation of a friend and Im so happy that I did. If youve never tried a Thai massage you owe it to yourself to check it out. Some of the stretching can be intense but on the whole it is very relaxing. Amanda it was great, one of the best massages I have had in a very long time. I will definitely be coming back soon!

I was expecting a great massage after reading the 5* reviews, and I feel like I walked into the wrong place - it was one of the worst massages I have ever had.The place is messy and feels dirty including the massage rooms - NOTHING like the pictures on their website. It felt damp and dirty.The massage room was freezing cold which I mentioned to the masseuse but she did not provide extra towels nor did they put the heating on. Due to the cold temperature in the massage area, the oil was very cold as was the hands of the masseuse!Very light pressure - I asked for the pressure to be increased a couple of times but it was still too light - my 4 year old niece could have applied more pressure! I’m not a big person, so it wasn’t my size - I’m 5’2 and 110 lbs.20 minutes into the Massage, my masseuse disappeared to open the door to someone and was gone for 5-7min.I paid for an hour, and only got 50min, which, with the interruption was actually less than 45 min. AND the masseuse has the audacity to ask for a tip!!Would NOT recommend.

The price is right, but thats about it. One of the worst massages ever. I agree with the one star reviewer Kevin, the lady had dry skin and her feet were just sliding unstable on me. Quite abrasive, but the worst part was there was no rhyme or reason to what she did. She just stepped all over me which didnt feel good, i thought she was going to break my bones or skip and dislocate my knee or elbow, pretty scary. I was nervous the whole time. Nothing that i asked for was addressed. There was no focus it was awful. Then she bent my back which i went in bc my lower back needed attention and she disregarded it and tried to snap me in half but shes frail so couldnt even move me. Sorry, but you cant have frail older people give massages. Its not nice to their well being and its not effective to the masagee. Terrible except the price

Discovered Thai massage in Thailand this year and hoped to find something authentic and good here in San Diego. Went for the first time this week and was very pleased. Massage was excellent, techniques were skilled, and the family atmosphere was great. Definitely a winner! I will be going back.

Ive returned to this business ocasionally. I often order the Thai style massaging routine is very good, the place is clean and neatly organized. One drawback is that I may not request specific masseurs. This policy caused inconsistent quality that fits to my personal preference.

My massage from B was amazing! She was able to identify my pain areas and spent more time on those spots. My friend had one too from another masseuse, however, he said that it seemed he had a routine, rather than a knack for itentifying the needed spots. So on average between our two experiences, me a 5 and he a 3, I give 4 stars.

I expectated this to be a 90 minute traditional thai massage but was a very disappointed. For starters my therapist was not thai. Nothing against that but the pase and style of touch was missing. Also the therapist was gliding on my skin with bare feet which is usually fine but she had very dry cracked skin on her feet. It felt very abrasive. Then as she was gliding on my back she was making movements that felt unstable like she was going to slip off me and fall. The overall style and structure of the movements were off. And the worst thing was the therapist was waiting in the front for a tip. My usual thai massage place has envelopes that make it discreet for customers to leave as much as they want. I usually tip $20 for an hour but today I still tipped $10 for a 90 min session out of total social pressure. My massues was waiting in front for me with other customers around. Including the other employees. I dont like to feel hassled for a tip. It feels great to put an amount I see fit for a service I enjoyed. Give me the satisfaction of leaving a good surprise in an envelope. Dont wait for it in person. Its awkward. It feels pressured. I hope this helps others. If I knew my therapist wasnt going to be an expert thai massues I wouldnt have scheduled for 90 mins but maybe only for 1hr.

I had a really tight upper back that had knotted up after an intense workout. I needed to get it sorted last minute before a long flight; Massage Thai Way fitted me in immediately after I called. I saw Nop and she really did an amazing job freeing up my back and shoulders in a short session.

The massage itself was good, but the hospitality and kindness was non existent! I guess it was the owner that asked if I was ok with a man and I told her I was not but she insisted because he was “really not a man” what that means is beyond me. My husband booked the appointment, so there was some confusion on my part about the pay, ok no big deal my mistake; but when you began to yell at me I have issues with this. I will never step foot in this place again simply because of the non hospitality! I can take my money elsewhere.

Did I walk into the right place? Ive decided to come to this place after reading all the reviews. But I had a weird unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. I pulled in and bunch of people were eating food at the entrance so I didnt know who to speak to until someone came out running to get me. Masseuse asked if it was my first time at their place, I said yes, she just told me to walk into a dark room which had no lights so I ended up throwing my clothes on the floor. As I was stripping out of my clothes I realized I was in a room split with curtain and there was someone else getting a massage! So brushed that off. I also asked for water, which I didnt get so not sure what happened there. Then half way through the massage, someone opened the door to have a conversation with the masseuse. Come on, seriously? I can see the room fill with light, it was super uncomfortable. The door even kept cracking open the entire time. I still gave a good tip but wont be coming back.

Authentic thai massage, professional and polite. These ladies will bring you to the threshold of pain and pleasure. As an active athlete I find the Thai massage to be the most effective at working out my knots and releasing the lactic acid. Massage Thai Way, is the closest massage Ive had vs. actually being in Thailand. Very clean and on the up and up.

It was a very unique experience, if you are new to Thai massage they are different!!! At times I wanted to scream in agony and other times I thought about proposing marriage and professing my undying love. Its intense. It could be five stars if there was better sound proofing between room, it was distracting to hear the man in the other room chatting it up with his masseuse, and I imagine my groaning and moaning was distracting as well. The other problem I had was that my masseur did not speak much English at all and I found myself at a loss to communicate basic instructions such as less pressure, more, right there, do more or less of that, etc. When I said less pressure he increased, when I tried to express in multiple ways that I wanted more pressure in a certain area he just backed off that area entire. The stretches were amazing and I would have liked more, but again... No way to get that across. Perhaps a translator? Overall a good experience that I will try again.

Visited today. Nice setting. Adorable young masseuse. However, she used phone while lazily walking on my back. Later, again - while massaging with one hand at same spot for a quite a while. Had to tell to put the damn phone away...Technique was quite good at the end.

Cant say enough about Massage Thai way. Traditional Thai Massage so be ready to have your body relased of tension and pain. Definately recommend the 90 minute session which in my opinion is more than affordable when compared to those chain massage parlors.
