Stopped in while strolling through downtown in mid afternoon, as I had a flight at 6. I had the bruschetta and my son had the spinach artichoke dip, both were very tasty. The bartenders were cordial and friendly, one left and transferred my check to the lady coming on shift. They didnt rush me and even gave me a bottle of water as I was heading out the door to catch my plane. Will definitely try to get back next time I visit.

What a fun place!! The main bar is very cool and has a relaxed vibe. Great bartenders and the crowd was super chill. Then you explore downstairs and discover one of the best DJs ever!!! All night long the greatest music to allow dancing the entire time!! The bartenders in the basement are even better than up stairs. My crew and I went two nights in a row and we enjoyed every minute of it, cant wait to go back!!

The tipsy crow is a great spot for any night out, depending on what you’re looking for. They tend to have a pretty good mix. The basement is usually a house music nightclub theme, the first floor is a classic American bar, and the second floor is a lounge with pool and bar games. Food is great too, very diverse menu that can appeal to almost anyone, do note that they will 100% take your chair away from you, even if you’re still eating, at exactly 9pm. They’re not flexible about it and kind of like “oh well, better luck next time”. Usually Boston theme sports if that’s your thing. Overall, 8/10. Parking is pretty rough and 5th is generally complicated.

Awesome food! Meatballs and clam chowder delicious. Pizza was great. Staff was good. Beer from the tap not so good. Mix drink were decent. It is a patriot bar so I’ll be coming back during a game!

On multiple occasions, encounters with them have been marred by a distinct lack of professionalism and an unnecessary rudeness which is unbecoming of an establishment of this caliber.In summary, while the ambiance inside is lifted by the excellent bartenders, the initial interaction at the entrance can be a deterrent for some. Future visits would be greatly enhanced by addressing this inconsistency in customer service.

We loved this place. A smaller town feel right in the middle of the Gaslamp District. When they say live music we usually plan to leave before it starts, we were still here when it started and we weren’t disappointed! We had the buffalo chicken dip and a few beers… this place does not disappoint! I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a friendly vibe.

The first bar I’ve ever been to in San Diego and I know it’s going to be a favourite. Apparently the longest-standing bar in Downtown; the building dates from 1874 and is spread over three distinctly different floors.Only went to the main bar on this occasion, a Saturday afternoon. Great selection of craft beers, awesome bar tender, and excellent live music from Shaun. Really great place.

Amazing bar with great drinks. Really good cocktails as well. Many of the bartenders work at multiple bars, so ask around for other good spots. I had a Walk on the Beach and a Purple Lamborghini. Both were very delicious. Cool atmosphere too.

Really cool atmosphere. Beautiful decor very inviting. Great furnishings and even a couple fireplaces on the top floor lounge area.Fun a little loud but not rowdy. Live DJ. Dance club was downstairs. Decent class of people more late 20s- late 30s. We were the older crowd for sure. Comfortable seating avaliable. Stairs only to get up or down though.

Super fun place. We tried the bloomin bread and it was delicious. They have my husband’s favorite beer there so he makes it a point to seek them out before a baseball game.

I just had drinks but they were great! The service and atmosphere is amazing. I personally love the top floors vibe alot and the bottom is totally cool for clubbers (just not my sort of thing)

I like the atmosphere of this place, the 1st floor bartender Vanessa was great, polite and knew what I wanted in a drink. Upstairs has a similar esthetic but the two bartender were horrible, did not pay attention to us for 15 min. And when we finally got one of them to help us, she was rude and didnt listen to what we had requested in a drink. She charged us for an expensive drink and it seemed like she was drunk as well. Luckily, I went back downstairs and Vanessa helped me out with a better drink.

My friends and I arrived to the bar and ordered a vodka redbull. After 3 people tasted it and realized that there was no alcohol on it we asked the bartender to please fix it. Instead of that the bartender decided to call us drunk and dump the drink when called out for being rude. Terrible service.

Was a decent place but they do have a dress code of no hats… not sure why but they do. Just weird for a night club to have a dress code 🤷‍♂️

We received great customer service on a Saturday night. We came because I read games, comedy and live music which screamed fun to me. The upstairs is cool with a couple games but they only had 1 restroom. The downstairs section was closed off. It was alright place.

Cool atmosphere. The stock market drinks are a fun idea. There was a live musician singing, he did a good rendition of Amy Winehouses Valerie. Overall, it was a slow night; played connect four and had a few drinks.

It’s one of my favorite night clubs in San Diego. Three floors, different styles. And last night, it was “snow”!!! So pretty to see that. The drinks here is nice too, people are friendly and nice! Only thing is, I really hope they could check vaccination cards at the entrance.

Fun little spot to hang out and tie one on. The downstairs bar is fun during the day and at night they open the upstairs and it’s really lounge feeling up there. They used to have this old big restoration type leather furniture that you just sunk into. It was amazing. Bar staff has always been really friendly and we’ve never had a bad experience here. And we’ve been here a lot.

I would give this establishment higher ratings if it werent for the fact that its located in San Diego and has a dress code against wearing clothes that has San Diego on it. Its wild that I cant enter this establishment with a San Diego hat.

The tipsy crow is just amazing. Ive been there for three days in a row now. They have live music every other night and some games to play, Jenga and connect four. Prices are fair, their signature cocktail The salty dog is alright, I personally didnt like it. Their coconut mojito is really good tho! Their meals are fantastic!

Awesome place to have a drink and hang out! Wes and the crew were awesome! The happy hour Wall Street type board is a cool concept! And if you need a good laugh have Wes tell you one of his stories 🤣🤣🤣

Interesting cocktails and super amazing food. We went on thanksgiving when the entire place wasn’t open - but it wasn’t super crowded so was nice to sit and drink. The bartender (whose name I forget) was super amazing at giving us pointers and recommendations - thanks for that.Would be interesting to check it out when it’s packed and all the floors have something going on.

The upstairs area is really cool, but definitely ask how much a drink is beforehand. Beer is reasonably priced, but two whiskeys that should have been maybe $25 tops wound up costing $100!

I normally dont post bad reviews but I will for this person. Bad customer service from Vanessa. I had a friend with me. She refused to give service and asked someone to escort out for no reason. I would like to know what the reason is. I have also been harassed on Instagram by her friend Scott and her. I would love for management to reach out. This is a bad image for a place like this. I don’t appreciate getting threats regarding my life.

Good prices, service and food!! The Tuscan Turkey melt was realllly good. The pretzel was a little too salted but it was still good! $44 for two beers, a sandwich, and an appetizer!

3 floors of fun! Great DJ last night 🎶 lower floor. I like the decor upstairs. Tasty Margarita but very small glass with lots of ice (Took 4 sips to finish /downstairs bar). All in all a place to check out when in the area! #funvibe

You have to Order and pick up Drinks by yourself at the bar.After paying the bill by Credit Card they raised the amount of the Debit one day later for 10 more $…

Went with a large group for drinks. A few friends trickled in late and they let in everyone except our African American friend. The bouncers tried to shut the door in her face and told us to go to a different bar. Can’t believe we still have to deal with racists like this is 2024

Cool place. Live music, good drink specials. Good location on 5th st. The food menu is great. Whats not to like?

Great bar. Lots going on, including live entertainment, sports on the tvs, giant Connect Four games on some of the tables, and a back room with a pool table, perfect for a small group outing. Apparently, they have a nightclub underneath the bar, but we didnt get to check that out. Maybe next time! Also, the food was top-notch. I had a bread bowl with tomato bisque and wished I had more when I was done! The service was great. We were well taken care of by our server.

The music was great in the beginning. Then it died off like an hour in. One strange thing is that they are required to keep your ID to open a bar tab. I am not sure when but there is a certain day when there dance floor in a hidden area opens up on the first floor!It is pretty lit then. NoCover fee

Great atmosphere and 3 awesome levels of fun. All 3 floors have their own bar; top floor being the lounge area with a pool table, ground floor being a simple type of bar with some games and with stairs leading to the basement/dance floor.My girlfriend and I along with some friends were there this past weekend and man is the bottom floor poppin! The DJ who I assume is there every weekend, plays a great variety of music, mostly early 2000s pop and rap along with some old throwbacks. If you enjoy a great atmosphere and variety of dance music but also enjoy just hanging out while the rest of your party dances, this is a definitely must see!Also, I could be wrong but I assume there is a cover fee after 9pm? But itll only cost you about 5 bucks. Definitely give this place a shot though, as it is just down the street from the Horton plaza parking garage on F street. Tell em Uriel sent you! Ive probably been going here for about ten years now and in that time I said no real negative experiences.There are bars in each of the three levels inside of the establishment. The main level has some seating if you plan on ordering food also. There are tables upstairs as well, but it seems more focused on games. Theres also one pay to play pool table at the end thats usually occupied.The basement is mostly a miss though. The ceiling is fairly low for a dance area, and the DJ is at floor level if I remember correctly.

This place has 3 unique levels and it was extremely good when I went on a Friday night.The drinks are really well done by the bartenders.Underground section is crowded but there was good ventilation.Highly recommended in gaslamp.

Was visiting San Diego from the east coast and was hoping to enjoy my last night here with some friends. Horrible service and workers with horrible personalities. Ghetto and very unprofessional.

The not your Mamas meatballs were definitely not my moms meatballs for real. They were horrible. The atmosphere was fun and drinks were great. Rated 4 stats for a drinking bar, but not an eating bar. Lots of TVs for football and the guitar player was great too.

We didnt have any food here. We ordered some drinks and the service was good. We were in search of a dance pub and found this with good pop songs playing on a Friday night.

Artistically balanced drinks, great prices. This tri-level club has something for everyone. Mellow lounge upstairs for the ladies and couples, traditional bar on the ground floor for the frat/beer crowd, and a jumping dance floor in the basement. Go and have fun!

Cant wait to come back for another visit. Such a great place!

Had the El Fuego Fresco (extra spicy) it was perfect! Also had the Spinach and Artichoke dip, it was absolutely delicious! I had a Crab Macaroni and Cheese and that was also good. Highly recommend this place for food and drinks!

Weekday? Late night? Weekend worker?This. Is. The. Spot.Definitely head upstairs for the real party on Monday. One of the best low-brow DJ Ive ever heard.

Food was surprisingly delightful. I got the meatball sliders while a co-worker got the lobster roll. This was a much cozier alternative to other locations in the area. Music wasnt too loud or overwhelming.

More bar atmosphere than restaurant. I wanted to try eating here it came highly recommended....but very loud atmosphere.

This is the spot to be if youre with a group of various personalities or just want to enjoy a night of debauchery by yourself. Each floor is like a different club/bar in itself ranging from casual chatting upstairs to sweaty ratchets downstairs. Drink prices are reasonable, but trying to get a drink can be tricky when its busy. Use some swag, charm, or skin and make sure to tip your bartender and you might have a chance of waiting less next time.

Super fun place. 3 levels with a club downstairs, a chill bar upstairs which was closed on sunday when I was there and the main bar was fun, good music great beer selection and good specials.

Great beer, friendly staff, we have the mac and cheese bread bowls which were amazing and the giant connect 4 boards were so much fun

Spent the night wandering upstairs and downstairs. It was a great time and the bouncers are very nice. There is a dress code so if youre visiting look it up beforehand.

The food and drinks were outstanding! I would have given this place a 5 star but when we arrived there the host just left us standing there. The servers were awsome! And the guy who brought our drinks was very nice and friendly! If you ever eat there I recommend the pork chop and the chicken dinner! Try this drink also, I cant remember the name if it but it has cucumber, lemon and something else in it. The drink is on the menu. It’s very crisp and refreshing! I would definitely eat there again!

3 levels of different fun. Great atmosphere, awesome bartenders, and all around a great time. Like I said 3 levels of fun, first floor is for those who just want to toast to some good drinks. Upper level has a dance floor, games, and a pool table. But if you walk straight to the back from the first floor dont be afraid to take the stairs down to the basement, this opens up to a whole entire floor for DANCING!! 💃🕺Absolutely fun!

Had a very strange no hat rule - understand if they require you to remove your hat upon walking in, but bouncers will come up to you in the middle of the bar and warn you to take your hat off if you have it on, very weird.

Great music. Great atmosphere. We went there for St. Pattys Day and the vibe was spot on. Not too loud either. The Our House salad was good, but skip the pretzel appetizer.

College bar with 3 different floors with bars. Prices kinda high but expected at this kinda spot. Music is loud & fun.

This place has charm, its really old & has its needs yet the staff are positive & well trained. The upstairs antiquities mix with the quirky & fun.I really enjoyed this saloon.

Fun spot, I liked the live music, drinks, bartenders, games, upstairs area. Very nice, as a San Diego native in my 30s, Im embarrassed that I havent been here before. Also, I was flipping through the books upstairs and one of the court cases was about someone who got their fingers chopped off! Cool spot, cant wait to return.

Went there for a friends birthday party.Great fun! Good drinks!Really like the three different levels with different stuff going on on each one. Top for being really mellow with a DJ.Basement being like a rave craziness.. Middle level was more like a traditional bar

Good vibes, awesome staff and always has a good crowd. Only downside is yhe basement area has an awful smell. Overall definitely one of the better bars in Downtown.

Fantastic bar, great atmosphere. BJ goes above and beyond on Monday nights and makes the bar come alive with games, highly recommend checking it out. Solid cocktail menu, the staff was top notch and friendly. 10/10 would go again next time I come to San Diego.

This place is great for the most part .Security is excellent , theyre friendly yet very professional and you can feel relaxed and enjoy the vibe there . However , there is one exception , one security guy whos rude , low key confrontational , grabs your drink without asking if youre finished even if its half full , this is not once but on several occasions that we frequented tipsy crow . He definitely makes you feel ill at ease and that is not how security should make a customer feel whilst trying to enjoy a night out . It is totally unwarranted ! One night we had just arrived , were discussing drink options and he aggressively approached us and told us to order drinks , or why else were we there . I brought it upto a female bartender and she said to ignore him . Really wanted to mention it to a Mgr. but decided to leave and check out another place . Too bad cuz its a nice place .

Extremely crowded, and my buddy was told to take his polo logo ballcap off because it wasnt allowed, but others in the bar were wearing all sorts of hats including snapbacks... not gonna say we got profiled... but the bouncer definitely profiled us.

They would not let me in because I was black and gay!!!!! I will post this everyday until something is done!!!…security was totally rude to me and would not let me in!!!! They told me I couldn’t come I because I had a drink in my hand…..ictheenle the drink away and then they made up something to still not allow me in.

Best bar in the gas lamp. Staff is amazing! Always on top of things. My only suggestion to them is the music in the basement is not great. The DJ will get the crowd going with one or two songs and then just play some bad music the kills the dance floor. It might be a crowd control method because the the dance floor turns over quickly.

Love this place. Food and drinks are great. Cool bartenders. I like the layout too. Kind of like three spots in one. Main floor you walk into has a pub feel. Downstairs/basement has a club feel with loud music. Last but not least the upstairs level has more of a loungy feel, is quieter, and has some pretty cool architecture. Also Trent is an OG Renaissance man that crushes everything life has to offer

A must-see for those passing through, the bar is very unique and has a lot of little details in it that you dont get at other bars. There are 3 stories and the atmosphere on each one is a little different. The music was a mix of old and new, but all great stuff. They could probably use a few more places to mingle, I felt like I was always standing in someones way, but it was pretty crowded that night. All in all, definitely a good place to stop.

Went this past Saturday for my sisters bdays, and we had so much fun. 3 levels... We stayed at the basement level. The dance floor isnt huge but the dj was playing so much amazing classic hip hop, rock, 90s/2000s pop, some top 40s. Everyone there was taken down memory lane and singing at the top of their lungs. Not sure if this place is always like this but this night, We had an amazing time

Very cool laid back spot in the heart of San Diego.My High School Football teammate is their DJ. Ryan Guanga, forgive Ryan if I misspelled your last name.Anyhow Ryan is doing his thing, oh yeah in the Basement, Man Cave or AKA The Ladies Cave.Either way The Tipsy Crow is a well established Business you have to check out, get there early if you are 40 yrs old because that area belongs to the College vibrant young adults. I had a chance to mingle with them briefly and we all had a blast, then left to get sleep. 😉

This place has been a staple spot in SD forever! Its a classic. Formally known as the Bitter End for its expresso martini. Its a spot that has a little something for everyone. Its old school and classic.

3 stories of fun! They have club, lounge and a bar! You choose your poison - We went on a night when they had a band which was awesome!The vibe is good, really laid back and staff is friendly. They have several specialty drinks that looked good. And the menu was your needed bar food. Definitely a place we would always be at if we lived in San Diego.

Cool old building. Great back bar. Friendly and quick service. This place would be much better if commiefornins didnt keep electing democrats. The area around the bar is going to s4!t just like all major cities.I look forward to paying another visit after the streets are cleaned.

Bar experience only - Went there on a Monday night and there was a decent amount of people there. The bartender Sara was very pleasant and an amazing bartender. She gave recommendations that we liked very much and also was a sweet girl to talk to. When we come back we will definitely try to go when she is there.

So fun great music and atmosphere

Came in about 10pm on a Monday night. Didnt expect anything to be going on and I was right. Bouncer was a nice guy, bartender was a pretty and sassy gal who was fun to interact with, and the drinks we ordered were pretty great. I would definitely come back on a weekend to fully check the place out in full swing.

It has a great night life. There are three floor to this place that give it three different vibe and background feel to it. There are games to play and hang out on the main floor. The top floor is more elegant and a fancy feel to it. The lower level is where the music is blasting the dance floor is. The night I was there was a busy night. The bartender service was great and fast. They also have waitress going around asking if you need drink. Great vibe and good services plus the music gets the night life going.

Dictating what people wear in 2024 is very odd. They will tell you not to wear hats (to include beanies) after 9 pm. Strange and I’m not into it.

Great bar that has it all. 3 levels depending on your vibe. First level is a traditional bar vibe, second level is a little bit more of a classier vibe, and the basement level is where you get down and dance; club vibe. Also the food is surprisingly REALLY good. Its not bar food at all, everything Ive tried has exceeded expectations; Gourmet stuff, no lie

Lively nightlife spot with 3 distinct floors (top being the most relaxed, bottom being the liveliest) with plenty of bars and bar spacing so youre never waiting too long for a drink.Drink prices are a little cheaper than some of the neighboring spots (still san diego prices) and no cover to get in.One of the regular meeting spots for my friends and I, and would recommend to others looking for nightlife in the Gaslamp district.

I would like to ask why the music is so loud after 11pm? Why its not inside why its outside, on the streets?I live in a residential building and there is no way to sleep even with closed windows, I can hear music like it right near me.There is the SD law after 11 pm should be quiet.so if it continues I will have to call to police.Thanks

Staying in downtown on vacation - long day out and about, so wanted to get something to go from a local place. They couldnt take my food order over the phone. Not a problem - waiting a few minutes wouldnt be a problem. I walked in, only two people at the bar. The server ignored me at first - when I finally got his attention and told him I had called, he told me that the kitchen wasnt going to be open for at least an hour. He couldnt have told me this when I called? He couldnt have tried to give me a reason to come back? I get it that this is a bar and thats where they make their money, but this seems to be a complete lack of service.

Literally the best bar out of there. They’re never sell outs into charging their patrons just to get inside their establishment during busy nights. Which is why this is always the go-to-spot.Line goes fast even when its long, and its always a good vibe being in this place. Definitely recommend it!

I found this to be a nice corner bar in the gaslight district. It was less crowded than down the street where you had to wait in lines but the service was exceptional. They had all the drinks you could want and I believe they had some food to offer if you chose to eat. It sits on the corner so if you sit at the bar you could look out the open windows onto the street area. It was a calmer crowd for Friday night. Absolutely Dreadful. The doorman was positively ghastly. Very rude and refused to let my esteemed colleagues join myself and my chums inside the bar. No legitimate reason was given. We are all mourning the death of her majesty and were hoping to have a drink to celebrate her great life. What a disappointment!!! One would not recommend.

Love music was Awesome, lots of Tvs to watch the NBA playoffs and service was fast and friendly.

Awesome bar to watch the pats games! Lots of TVs upstairs that make it easy to see. Definitely get there early if you want a table and a chance at the free clam chowder during the game. Our waitress was super attentive too for a busy bar. Will be going back for more games!

Favorite bar downtown to relax and have a drink.

This place was packed on all 3 floors. Top level is more of a lounge area with a few arcade games and bar. The main level is the bar with clean restrooms and very nice attendant. The bottom level also has a bar and a decent sized dance floor. Bottom level had the most security which was nice. They kept the girls safe from overly drunk creepers. Which they removed right away. They also did a great job cleaning up after a spill and busing tables. Even with the bar being full we were served pretty quickly. Some negatives about this place would have to be the smell on the lower level, lack of ventilation. Very moldy smell and the fog machine and fake ivy leaves on the cealing didnt help. At times I felt like I couldnt breathe. Still had a good time dancing the DJ was ok.

Was great last month…today owner was a complete tool. Wouldn’t let my colleagues and myself enjoy a drink at this establishment. After the very recent upsetting bereavement of her majesty one was hoping to enjoy a refreshing beverage to drown our sorrows. Long live the King!! Death to the crow!!!

This is definitely a Patriots bar! Im not a fan, but our friend is and we had a blast during the Superbowl! I would suggest that the bar move the huge couches out of the way for the game next year to make more room for temporary chairs, but the couches were comfortable for those who got in line early enough. The server was nice and the bartenders as well!

Fun! Fun! Fun! The bar has a stock market type process that is fun and creative. They have a digital board up with the prices of certain drinks so if a drink is being bought more the price goes up, but the price of the others goes down. Fun way to try new drinks! They also open a dance floor underneath the bar around 10pm or so. Check it out if you are in the area!

Each level is different, which is neat. Bar games on the tables and an arcade. The bathrooms were serviced and clean. The DJ was fantastic. It was pretty hot and humid in the basement. Service for drinks was quick. They had balloons and stuff for bachelorette parties, which was cool. The security was nice and handled complaints well for creeps.

You can dance, drink, and chill.Drinks are pretty solid. The crowd was unpretentious, just looking for a good time.

It is a really nice bar, but last night phones were stolen out of handbags. So be careful, especially when you are in the basement in the bar area or dancefloor.

First time visiting and enjoyed it thoroughly. Drinks are good, sandwiches are delicious, top floor is a lounge, middle floor is a bar that plays music with music videos on the TV, and the bottom is more of a club/dance level. Awesome times all around.

Security guard Trent went above and beyond! He showed us around as we were not staying long and were not able to come on a weekend when the other levels were open. Drinks were good, but need to work on consistency among all staff as I had a drink from the menu made 2 different ways and they did not taste the same. Would’ve loved to see this place before this pandemic.

We had high hopes but were very disappointed. We sat at a table and waited 15 minutes before approaching the bar and requesting service. There were 2 people behind the bar. The guy was literally standing doing nothing while the girl was helping everyone. It took a couple minutes for me to get the guys attention and ask for service. He just pointed to the girl as if to say she will help you.After several more minutes she approached me and said there is no table service, orders are placed at the bar. It would have been nice to have been told by the guy at the door or with a table sign.The table was dirty. We requested a towel to wipe it down and were told they would clean it. It took so long my friend went to the bathroom and wet some paper towels and cleaned it.The soda glass was not big and was full of ice. It was emptied quickly and my friend wanted a refill. I stood at the bar a solid 5 minutes waiting for a refill while my food got cold. We wanted refills later but didnt bother asking.They have lots of comfort food - pizza, sandwiches, mac & cheese, etc and the food was good. The service was friendly when we could get it, but otherwise it was the worst service I have experienced in years and would not go back.

I think this place could have been really fun pre-Covid. There are two floors, each playing different music. Downstairs has table service and upstairs is a dancefloor.Now, it just looks like a Covid fest. There are so many people and definitely no social distancing, which I guess is kind of expected for a Friday night at 10:30. Luckily, we were able to get a table downstairs away from the crowds. While we waited for the rest of the group to get there (so that we could GTFO of there and go to a less crowded place), my sister and I ordered a Guinness and a whiskey ginger. They tried to charge her $50 for the two drinks! Really hoping it was an honest mistake and they werent just hoping we were drunk and would just sign. So if you do come here, make sure to look over your bill!

Fantastic night scene. Go to the 3rd floor. The mix of 90s and 2000s hip hop is phenomenal. Good amount of personal space too!!

Nice 3 story bar. Downstairs is a club not typically open during the week. Walk in level is a bar. During the week during happy hour has a stock market for drink prices. ( Really Cool!) Top level is more laid back leather couches and a pool table and on tuesday night its trivia.

The decor and building are both really cool. Night club in the basement and lounge seating upstairs. Lobster mac and cheese was delicious. Decent cocktails and a large beer selection. Bartenders were friendly, but service was hit or miss. Prices are typical for the area.

Best place to party in Gaslamp! The downstairs has a great club atmosphere and the other two levels are more casual with games and tables and stuff. Anyone can have a good time here!

Fun 3 floor bar. Top floor is chill for people who want to talk and drink in a more casual environment. Ground floor is your typical bar with more noise and some games. Basement floor is more underground with loud music, lasers and more club vibes with a bar there too. Great vibes for anyone for anyone looking for a sweet night out

Honestly, the bar is cool but the magician on Wednesday nights is beyond impressive. He deserves his own show or residency in Vegas! Be sure to stop by on Wednesdays!

Wow, just wow. This bar really has a great layout and environment. Be sure to head upstairs when you get your drink to enjoy the more interactive area. They had a few giant Connect4 stations but those always had players playing like wild men possessed. We had to settle on the old arcade games table and show off our Arkanoid skills. Nice game right there, dare I say a DECENT game. Anyways head into this bar if you wanna have a life changing experience, in an indescribable way.

This is one of the last few remaining places where you can go hang out casually with 3 floors of entertainment. The center level is the casual hangout spot to mingle and have some drinks. Upper level to have an intimate conversation. And the basement to dance your butt of to some old school hip hop/80s/90s/top 40/dance music. Its just one of those places that you can just have fun, be yourself, have a few drinks, and do your thing kind of place.

Over charged for drinks, advertised $8 vodka clubs but charged 11.50. Playing the stock market booked, paid double they was was happening. Good music but charged extra for being a tourist I guess

This place has so many things to entertain everyone, they play a variety of music, so a little something for everyone! They have games, Foosball, a pool table, etc.. The decor is like something out of an Edgar Allen Poe story so that is always fun. Best part if you want to get super loose check out the basement bar downstairs that is where you will find everyone getting down to the latest music!

Good drink selection. Good music. Good service. Cover charge wasnt bad and seems only applicable on Friday and Saturday. Your mileage may very depending on DJ or live musician they bring in.

Liked the drink menu n variety of music was good, but dance area was poorly ventilated n very hot, AC units didnt seem to be working. Up stair area should have more table to eat if u can order food.

Has 2 floors from the naked eye. Also has a basement where all the dancing takes place. Not over crowded. Drinks were not made good at all from bartender that was helping us. Has a room with one pool table where the restrooms are located.

This place is amazing! You can find it on the corner of 5th and F street. This place gets pretty packed most of the time, so get there early! They have a great selection of beer (even though I am not a beer drinker myself), great drink specials, and more. Its definitely not your average bar though. Its three stories, so theres room to lounge out, dance, and just have a good time. They have a pool table, connect four games and more. So its a great place to have fun, get drunk, and be loud!

I love this place and have been going here every Friday for the past year but recently I have been harassed upon entry by the bouncer out front. Last night a group of folks were looking for the entry line and when I pointed it out he proceeded to jump down my throat and disrespect the hell out of me. Like I said though I love this place for its ability to deliver multiple levels of entertainment but Im now considering finding a new spot, there is nothing like a good buzz kill to ruin a good night out

Best place for a large party or hangout, because everybody is going to be happy. Upstairs is cocktails, chairs and chatting. Mid level is games and classic bar scene. Downstairs is absolute dance club. I have always had a great time here.

Decent food and drinks but not super memorable. They commit one of my most hated restaurant crimes... they think chips are an acceptable substitute for fries...they are definitely not. Got Mac and cheese on the side instead and it was pretty good. Server was attentive but she looked miserable the whole time.

A cool spot to grab a beer. It has multiple levels to accommodate every type of person in the group. Those who enjoy the typical noisey bar with a small dancefloor will enjoy the first floor. Those who want to carry a conversation and just chill with friends can head upstairs. They have a pool table, comfortable couches/chairs and a separate bar. Very enjoyable experience.

Really cool laid back place in the day, but it definitely gets very crowded, busy, and loud later in the night. Drinks are creative and delicious, good beer selection. Got the soft pretzel to eat, very fluffy and warm.

I go here a lot. They have some great game nights, good drinks and good food. Always a nice place to go while out in Downtown. BJ is the best host and will often play live music there too.

Tipsy Crow is the place in downtown that everyone should go at least once. Its a low-cover place and drinks are reasonably priced. The main flow features board games and upper level contains a lounge area, the real fun is downstairs.In the basement, you get this dark, crowded area with music videos playing all around you. The DJs tend to be pretty good with the music selection, but like any club, it gets crowded and hot.Bartenders are nice and never had problems with their service.

3 floors, bottom is the dancing floor, 2nd floor which is the main floor when you enter the place is the main bar section and 3rd floor which is the stairs at the entrance to go up is a bar with tables, and pool table.

Super fun bar! Not what I expected looking at the exterior of the bar. They have 3 floors, one for dancing, one is the main bar area, and the upstairs floor had games like Connect 4, pool, etc. The seating and decor is also very classic/older style. Great bar all around.

When we went, the upstairs was closed but the main floor and basement was open. I thought it was fine--the drinks were good and the food was okay, just didnt like it as much as some of the other restaurants and bars we visited in San Diego. Worth checking out, maybe not on a Sunday when the upstairs is closed.

Used to come here very regularly. Recently came in and was a bit disappointed with everything from service to food. They still do the stock exchange happy hour which is fun and a good deal. Miss the happy hour on food. For a Friday felt fairly quiet as well.

The food here was crazy. The lobster spread appetizer was the best thing ever. Insideis so interesting with all the random things on the walls. They have movie stills and framed newspapers. It was great bartender was super personable, great service.

Love the Tipsy Crow - the absolute best place to watch a New England Patriots game in San Diego. Watched the epic AFC Championship game against the Chiefs there in 2019 and we had to make a return visit in 2022!

Tiffany made our first night there an absolute blast! My husband and I have been looking for a local bar to hang out and and we have found it! The food was absolutely delicious, and the drink selection was amazing! Highly reccomend checking this place out!!

A good spot for drinking and relaxing with friends! Theres an upstairs, a downstairs and the middle floor. The downstairs level is where the dancefloor is and theres a bar at every level! The best shot I had while there is called the Gummy Bear! Staff was extremely kind and watchful as well!

We wanted DRAFT beer. Large beer menu. Friend and I ordered two beers from the CRAFT menu so were surprised when two bottles arrived, even though many taps over the bar. Waitress was flippant, implying this happened a lot. Too loud for a decent conversation also. Probably good for the right crowd, but not for us.

I always love going to the Tipsy Crow! It may be in the touristy part of town but its always a good time. Love their 3 different levels with different vibes. The drink pricing is unique and everyone is so nice: bartenders, bouncers, and partiers!

My friend and I went during SDCC, stopped in when a planned pub crawl wed signed up for was utterly bust. We needed another drink and some food to pad the drinking. I suggested it because I liked the name, and I cant say I regret it at all. We wound up getting a grilled cheese platter, the caprese grilled cheese, and it was fantastic. We both ordered drinks as well, I didnt like my first choice, it didnt taste good at all, but they didnt charge and replaced it with an off the menu drink for me. My friend got something that smelled pretty damn smooth for being 118 proof. We only stayed on the main floor, neither up nor down for us, remember we were on a replacement pub crawl mission. But there was live music, a guy that covered Alicia Keys with just a couple guitars. Loved it. Well be hitting this place again next year.

Ive come here a few times, and love hanging out on the 3rd floor in the library section. There is a bar up there and you dont have to walk far to get your drink or use the bathroom. It can get packed on most Friday or Saturday nights. My only gripe is the downstairs feels like a house frat party garage. It can get really hot and humid if you want to dance. Other than that, bartenders are chill. Prices are comparable to other establishments.

Great atmosphere fantastic beer and whisky selection . We sat at main level hightop table by the front door. Three security guards on duty , all freindly and welcoming good first impression. Was there on a Sunday night , male bartender was on top of his game, good prompt service , i asked the girl to see a whisky list with pricing as they had a nice top shelf selection. She responded with ,i dont have one here, they should have them upstairs. Not the response i was hoping for. With two bartenders behind the bar she should have retrieved one for us. On that note finished our pints and headed down the street.

Had a blast at this place! There are 3 levels. The basement has a DJ is for dancing. The ground level has a long bar and multiple beers on tap. The top floor is small but has a bar, fireplace and different games (connect 4, jenga, pool table).

Fine place to hangout, drink and dance. Awesome music and feel out there in the basement. But got Covid too bec of too many people at a same time. Gets crowded later at night. Be careful until this Covid dust settles down

Everything was going OK until I noticed a wall painting composed entirely of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, and it completely recontextualized the atmosphere of this place to one of passive-aggressive youre not good enough to sit with us elitism. Also, the coconut mojito was not mixed well enough and so the entire second half of the drink was just water. Will not be returning.

It was an awesome bar. Took a few buddies there as we bar hopped. Was pleasently suprised at how cosy it felt. The downstairs area was a bit dead but we were also there very early in the evening. Drinks were made right. Enjoyed playing the games they had around the bar. The upstairs was also a nice area. Overall was a good place to sit and relax in a cozy environment.

The most incredible hidden treasure of the Gaslamp district in San Diego. Located underground at The Tipsy Crow! My favorite Comdedian Mal Hall heads this comedy club the last weekend of each month when he is not Touring the U.S. He brings the best comedians with him. They have a full resteraunt and bar;) Amazing food!! If you live in Orange County or LA its worth making a weekend out of it and head to San Diego. If you already live in San Diego you should feel blessed!!

Decent bar with amusing pricing screens (all time highs, lows). They turn on the lights at 1:40am (official close at 2am) and nudge you out the doors. Looks like a popular night spot for conference attendees.

This place felt like a weird mixture of a club and a bar. There are not many seats available in this spot so people mostly just stand holding a drink without a place to put it down. Yet, there is no such a DJ or EDM music and so people dont dance. Confusing concept.

Take advantage of the stock exchange happy hours. Something for everyone! Upstairs offers a bit quieter place to play pool and chat,the middle floor allows for meeting people and games Id you wish to grab a table and the bottom floor offers a fun (though very hot) place to dance after nine.

It’s a really fun place to hang out with friends. They have games like Jenga, pool table and connect four. They have an underground dance floor which was very disgusting. It has no ventilation and it looked like the ceiling was gonna fall off. If your not interesting in dancing and you only wanna socialize then it’s the place for you

I absolutely love coming to this bar, but I have to knock a star off because they drink exchange is only during happy hour now! THAT WAS THE BEST PART!!!The bartenders are fun and have such a great attitude. The music makes you want to dance and the DJ makes sure everyone is having a good time - whats not to love? Im a fan of their moscow mules in the redneck mason jars they have - super cute touch...from what I understand now is they might be gone now....double whammy!Besides that, the place can be fun and the crowd is always a great mix. Definitely a favorite spot for me in Gaslamp!

Fun bar built in a three story historical building in the Gaslamp district. Each floor caters to a different crowd: the first floor is a busy bar, the second floor is a more laid back lounge area with occasional live music and games, and the basement is a dance club. This bar also has a neat gimmick with its drink stock market where less frequently ordered drinks sell for cheaper and more popular drinks rise in price in real time on an imitation stock ticker. A good incentive to expand your drinking habits.

One of my favorite downtown locations, go there at least once every few weeks. Amazing DJs, good crowd almost any night, and good drinks.

Tipsy crow is a really cool place. I hate paying to get in at night, but whatever. The stock exchange idea is super cool, prices of drinks fluctuate based on how many are ordered. Watch the board and you can get some great deals!

Went to catch what was advertised as “drink like the 1%” on the website. Supposed to use ‘the “Bull Market” Drink Exchange featuring lots of discounted high-end spirits–the fun starts at 8PM ’til Close’ - Came in a bit early to find that it was Whisky Wednesday instead. By 8:20 they still did not have the menu changed. Left early disappointed and wishing we had gone somewhere else.

If youre a dude, theres cover charge. If said charge offered access to an environment that did not smell like a festering locker room submerged daily in a rotting peat-bog, Id have considered a more neutral review. Alas, unsavory odors permeate all 3 stories of this venue, the worst of which, unsurprisingly, being the lower basement marked for dancing. If youre coming to dance, dont forget your supplemental oxygen or dont be surprised when hypoxia sets in due to the lower story having no discernible air flow. Lastly, though there is more I could expound upon, when ordering a non-alcoholic drink, the bartender felt he had to repeat the order 3 times at full volume to ensure those nearby could hear it was a *gasp* tonic and soda water. It wasnt a case of not hearing clearly.

Amazing Grilled Cheese boards, lobster rolls, and craft drinks with a level for every mood. The Lounge is my personal favorite. Like an Old Study fit for a king but with fun people!

We had Shanna helping our difficult table today. Our first time was with a bad waitress a couple weeks ago. Was horrible when punching pandas were playing. Gave it another shot. Shanna was so attentive and funny. We will be back and recommend because of Shanna! Great service!

The physical space is pretty cool, gives you a taste of the older, grittier gas lamp. Its a fine place to stop in for a drink during the afternoon and early evening. During prime time its a zoo.

When my friend drank too much and had to be asked to leave, every employee we dealt with was super considerate and friendly. It was a total non issue. Good beer, great atmosphere, wonderful staff. Love it.

The ground floor and the speak easy upstairs both have fantastic atmosphere and service. Unfortunately, the experience at the Tipsy Crow takes a sharp turn for the worst as you head downstairs.The DJ downstairs couldnt spin a good mix if someone handed it to him. His erratic switches of genre and poor transitions are enough to turn off all but the most tone-deaf of club goers.The final insult is at the door as you leave. The obviously drunk bouncers are easy to get handsy with their patrons. Watch out you dont get groped!

The food and the drinks are delicious. The food service was a bit slow, but the bartenders were great and quick. Overall great music. The lower level with the dance floor was a lot of fun.

We went for a late snack and drinks. The upstairs was busy but not overly crowded. The bartender was attentive, friendly and quick. The food was a pleasant surprise! I mean, it’s a bar and I didn’t expect it to be good, well, it was! It was also quick!

Havent had this bad of service in a long time. Asked for a drink with a specific liquor then the bartender makes me something different. Blames me for the wrong drink. Takes forever to correct it. We decided to leave after horrible service and the tender tries to charge us for incorrect service. Definitely will not be coming back after such horrible service.
