Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa

One of the worst costumer service I have ever received. I called a week ahead spoke with the spa manager, made an appointment, even received their consent form in email.The day of my appointment their front desk staff could not find my name in the system and she kept saying that this means you never spoke to us! She did not apologize, never offered to at least find another availability for me. She was very rude to work at a spa place.All I needed was apology for the mistake that was made on their end and someone who was willing to make me another appointment in future days.She said I will have my manager call you, never received that call…. This was a very disappointing experience.

On February 8, we where invited by my sister for a massage, she had credits to be used towards the treatment and she schedule a week in advance and spoke couple times to make sure of our credits and purchase more massages for other members of my family,Five minutes before our massages they said the could not unlock the credits and that we needed to pay for the services again. There we are five people waiting and they could not sort it out. Time passed, we also calledthe owner and she did nothing. We were treated really bad by an African-American masseuse and the person at the front desk. It was a nightmare worse experience at a spa. So for obvious reasons we would never recommend this place. And further more, they used the credits to pay there employees and we never got our services.

If I could negative star this place I would. Not only did Amber call me 15 mins before mine and my fiancé’s appointment as we were driving over and informed us that an appt we made 5 days prior all of a sudden could not accommodate the fact that I needed a prenatal massage. She proceeded to tell me the only thing she could do is reschedule my appt. When I asked if there was a way she could switch my therapist with someone that does she then told me there wasn’t anyone there today that did them, then when I asked if I reschedule would they comp my massage since we had 2 facials and 2 90 min massages that are being cancelled last minute. She then told me that they could accommodate me today if I change my massage to a 60 min instead of a 90 min, when I ask her why am I able to be accommodated for a 60 min but not a 90 min she tells me not to be rude when I’m obviously seeking clarification. I then ask her name and ask if the owner or manager can call me she says sure and hangs up on me. Not only is she the one that’s rude but definitely unprofessional. disappointed because we were we looking forward to our spa day. Stay clear of this place until they could find someone that could manage the front properly.Update: it’s interesting how the owner gives me their info to follow up about the incident and when I email them I still don’t get a response. Great customer service all around apparently 🙄

I had a fantastic first experience at Massage Green! The customer service experience was great from booking on the phone to the manager of the spa who was very welcoming when we came in for our appointment. I had a couples massage with my husband with Misty & Dosa, and they were beyond exceptional. Dosa was amazing and gave me a very relaxing massage with just enough pressure to soothe my muscles. It was one of the best Ive had in a long time. I am very impressed with this place and will definitely be back. Thank you!

This was my first time at massage green spa in Scripps ranch. The front desk staff was so helpful in scheduling my facial and massage back to back they even offered me different times throughout the day which I know is tough because I came in on a Sunday! My esthetician for my facial was Emily and she was so kind and knowledgeable, she took the time to discuss my current skincare routine with me and even helped answer some of my millions of questions regarding skin care while breastfeeding. She was so nice and it was such a relaxing experience my skin looks AMAZING. My massage therapist was Ashley and she was so nice, very thorough and helped locate areas of my body that were so tense. She immediately put my body at ease and helped my aches and pains. She went out of her way to ask me where my problem areas were and put special focus on these areas during my massage. I highly recommend massage green spa, as well as Emily and Ashley! They are amazing I will be returning!

I was not impressed with my masseuse at all. He seemed more annoyed that my neck was the only area i needed him to work on. There was some relaxation techniques that helped, but my neck felt work by that evening. I will probably never go back there again.

Disappointed in their service. I bought a couples massage on Groupon from this company as a gift for my finance’s birthday. 3 hours before our appointment they had to cancel because one of their massage therapist was out. They didn’t have anyone to replace the therapist. No one else on call. I am disappointed because I feel like they could have done a better job working something else out. They wanted us to do the couples massage separately and wait as the other was getting their massage.. the only good thing was Kristina was nice about it but wish they could have been more accommodating or prepared for situations like this.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND:Best experience I have had in San Diego for a massage. Professional area, prices are reasonable, smells on relaxing essential oils and a beautiful lobby. All the staff was super friendly and I can see why they have so many regulars.My masseuse Braz, used some really diverse techniques & you can tell he has had some experience with reflexology. This was my first visit and well worth it. Wont be going to another massage place in SD as this was just the relaxing visit I was looking for this week.

Just had Alice this morning and she was fabulous. (: Will book again with her. The pressure she applied was perfect and she would ask if it was too much or too little and made sure I was comfortable. I have issues with my lower neck and shoulders and she focused on those areas and did some stretches that felt amazing. She knows her stuff! So happy to start the weekend off with a massage here.

Mychelle is fantastic, I had never had a massage before and she explained everything to me and checked in to see if I was comfortable throughout the process! I’ve now gone back 3 more times and will continue to do so! Such a relaxing and calming environment!

Aly is seriously so talented and knowledgeable. Best massage I’ve had in my life and I’ve had easily over a hundred massages. She knows the body well and applies the PERFECT amount of pressure. She really listens to what you need too.

Had a Groupon for massage n hot sauna. Hot sauna was really good as no interaction n u get right into ur hot sauna privacy n relax.Massage was slightly off bit. Masseur was listening well, but didnt experience the right spots were hit. I like little hard or deep tissue type massage but after conveying sme there were no actions taken, hence deducted one star. Overall experience was decent, friendly or responsive staff might at some delay when super busy but not too shabby.RegardsIshan

Ally is AMAZING. She seriously gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. I strength train and wanted deep tissue and she applied the perfectly deep pressure throughout the whole time. 10/10 recommend her!

Ive been coming here for massages for a few years now and recently started getting facials. The past two appointments have been with Misty and she is amazing. Shes very knowledgeable and she makes me feel comfortable.

I love coming here i feel very welcomed from the front desk..and always have a awesome experience.. I will make this my home because thats how I feel when Im there.. Lisa is great, shes the owner and the therapists are all very different and have great skills in there own techniques. Ask for Ashley Rose though, shes the best. I got the best massage Ive ever had from her.

My best friend & I had Crystal & Amber for the first time (couple massage) & they were both amazing!!! They were so amazing we ended up getting their monthly massage membership!!! I have never done a review before but I felt that it was necessary for this. At 12:07pm on February 10th I contacted this company to schedule a spa day for my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day . The receptionist assisted me with a polite attitude at first but as we talked and I requested her tell me the total amount of a package deal I saw on Groupon she gradually became short with me and seemed reluctant to give me the total amount of the 60 min facial, 60 min massage, and 40 min sauna service all together. instead, she provided me with separate prices of each which honestly was fine with me. I politely asked if she can wait a moment while I input these prices in my calculator to give me a total so I can book an appointment now but she quickly cut the conversation short by suggesting I call when I am ready to book an appointment despite me calling to do just that. I will not be calling back or spending my money at this company.

This review is based on an experience utilizing Groupon and speaking to the spa manager at Massage Green Spa for the Scripps Ranch location. A Groupon was purchased for my fiancé as a birthday gift which unfortunately he was not able to utilize. He scheduled an appointment to come in but missed the appointment (due to work obligations; active duty military) for which he realized too late but gave a courtesy call to ask to reschedule. The courtesy call was made later (for which the manager kindly pointed out by her “time stamp” comment) due to inaccessibility to step away from work. The policy Massage Green Spa has in place does not allow for rescheduling and offered he could still come in and receive whatever time is left for his massage same day. This is not practical or realistic for someone who is working on a base 40-50 minutes away. Although the manager at the spa was not rude she offered no flexibility or resolution to the matter. There was no real thoughtful investment in true customer service. Paying full price for a service he did not receive without attempting to come to a more fair resolution based on the circumstances of the missed appointment was unfortunate. There will be no attempt to visit this business again nor will it be recommended to anyone else.

We had a couple massage this morning & it was so great. The place is gorgeous & it was so soothing. We loved the massages we got, only negative thing we have to say is that we wish the botanical music was in the massage room too cause it would have made the experience even more better. The sauna was the cherry on top! Overall a great experience!

Massage green is great! All the staff is welcoming and very friendly. They are very accommodating with all their services and booking appointments! I love that anyone in my family can use My membership! They have new facial products every month depending on the season. They also have great things to add to your massage and facial like hot stones or aromatherapy.

10/10 recommendation. Alice was truly amazing and being in the military for ten years, it was a much needed experience. Very relaxation and made sure I knew how to relax, especially since us military folk have a hard time relaxing as it is. I appreciated her approach and service and would definitely return! I had A phenomenal massage by Gordon. His knowledge of the human anatomy made his work stand out. His touch is extremely relaxing and controlled, with a comforting feel and stress relieving rhythm. Definitely recommend this massage spa, I will personally be going every other week! The facility is clean relaxing and up to date. They even offer a personal sauna.

I absolutely love my therapist here. I started going in for deep tissue massage and went through 3 or 4 therapists before I found the one that I clicked with the most. But of the 3 others, all but one were fantastic and listened to exactly what I asked for. I am almost always able to get an appointment when I need one, too.Update March 2022: I come see Debra on a regular basis because she works the exact trouble spots on my body as I ask her to do. A few months ago I was experiencing numbness in my fingers, and she did something to my arm and I felt my blood flowing again! It was pretty miraculous.

I was in the area, and noticed the new location and decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby is beautiful, and the receptionist was super nice and friendly. Janice was my massage therapist, and was very diligent about asking me if the pressure was good. She paid special attention to my upper back and shoulders at my request, and did a great job. I will definitely be back soon.

The spa is always clean and efficiently run. I am a longtime client of Debra. She gives fantastic massages and always asks first which areas of your body need special attention (I exercise quite a bit so my joints and muscles can get a bit angry). She takes note each time and uses deep massage or hot towels where its needed.

Massage was okay at best. Upon arrival I was greeted by a receptionist. Very pleasant. Overall first impression of the upkeep is good. Nice clean place with a waiting/seating area is open and inviting. But there’s no separate reception area - one of the therapist was being told of a dissatisfied customer. A little unprofessional in my opinion. There was a lacking feeling of spa-like amenities.No place to change Into robe or shower, no lockers or locker room. No slippers. No water with lemon slices and mint. (There was iced water though). No aromatic diffusion in massage room.Carpeted throughout with exception of front reception area. A trip to the restroom had me wondering the last time a deep clean was done with the tile grout and carpet. Dark carpets have me cautious.Overall lacks the feeling of complete and total tranquility.

My friend and I went to get a massage. My masseuse didnt share her name, but I think it was Erin Kelly from my receipt. The massage was ok, it would have been better if she put more pressure but she didnt ask how I felt with the pressure. My friend was offered water but I did not receive any.

I love Massage Green Spa. Going for a massage is the ultimate treat to myself and I want to feel pampered, which is exactly how I feel at the end of my treatment. The facility is lovely and peaceful. Everyone I have worked with has been professional and the therapists ask questions to make sure they meet my specific needs. Compared to any hotel spa, the rates are amazing. I highly recommend this spa for massage and facials.

Was able to get a same day appointment for a 90 minute massage to help with some shoulder pain I’d been having. The massage was great and I left feeling more relaxed and in less pain.

Deborah is a godsend! She fixed my back and shoulders - sore from nursing and constantly bending to pick up my baby. She was thorough and knew exactly where to press to release all my tension. I will definitely be back to see her. Thank you Deborah!

This was the most disappointing massage of my life. I walked out with the same pain I walked in with. The therapist didnt focus on the area I asked her to. Also, I booked hot stones and no hot stones were used. I mentioned that when checking out to hopefully not get charged for them. I loved the massage green in San Marcos so this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Probably wont be coming back but if I do I will definitely request a different massage therapist..

My massage with Veronica was very relaxing. She worked on the muscle tension in my neck and shoulders and suggested an Epsom salt bath later as well as proper hydration. Thank you!

Highly Recommend!! I went to this Spa after several different people reffered me to this location. It was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, while the service was top notch. The two most imortant factors when going to a massage Spa, are the cleanliness and the quality of the massage. In my experience at this Massage Green Spa both were 10 out of 10!!I rarely write reviews but felt inlcined after my expereince here. I will definitely be referring my friends and family!

Dont judge a book by its cover! This little gem looks like another strip mall store, but when you get inside its clean, beautifully decorated and relaxing. The staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. They have great deals on their services and occasionally you can find a great priced Groupon. Go support the little guys and givem a try.

The massage was great and very relaxing. Parisa was very attentive, kept the pressure as expected and focused on the areas we discussed beforehand. The missing star is for the lack of lockers or any area to undress/get ready for the massage, making the advertised 60-min massage a 45-ish minute experience.

Place is always clean and the staff are friendly and give great massages. But the reception ladies can never schedule appointments. I tell them every time that I cant come in at 6pm and it has to be later. They always call back to ask me if I can do 6pm. Makes me wonder if they want business or not.

A Sad Broke Down Training Program StoryI made the appointment on Friday, the 13th (oh NO, that was the problem from the beginning!) for a 90 min massage on the following Sunday, today.I posted up in a local Starbucks 2 hour early to ensure timely arrival. Having done 100 deep dip pushups and 12 or so diagonal pool laps to prep, I wanted to make this smooth for everyone.Walked in 5 min before appointment time to check in. The receptionist told me the phone number they had for me. I simply told her that the number was incorrect. She informed me that because I did not have a credit card on file and because they could not reach me at the number (incorrect) on file to confirm, etc the owner decided to take my appointment off the books.She acknowledged that it appeared that I had been there previously as part of a couple and confirmed that I had obviously booked a solo appointment this time. Check and check. She acknowledged that the appointment was booked by one of two new trainees. She offered me the option of rebooking and the option of speaking to the owner about it. I respectfully declined both options today.I protested mildly by asking why the owner decided to grind me up in the training process. She said the owner thought I would be a no-show because I did not answer the phone and did not have a credit card number on file, etc.I feel like the owner should have kept me on the books and took the no-show risk associated with the breakdown in the establishment’s appointment setting protocol. Clearly the problem was an inaccurate recording of the number and a failure to ask for my credit card during the appointment setting process.At the very least the owner could have left instructions to be summoned if the no-show risk client actually DID show up and deliver the sad broke down training program story personally. This way, in addition to the story being tastier coming from the owner, the owner could have further reduced the nasty taste I have from driving 25 miles one-way to be a 2nd visit client and being jacked around.I guess I will go to the gym and do some heavy lifting.(510) XYZ-PQRS, NOT (501) XYZ-PQRS

I have booked here multiple times … and out of four bookings only one actually happened as scheduled… they kept canceling on me same day of service… ‘technicians emergency or unavailable’ at last minute. So frustrating. Massage is good when it actually happens… but place is very unreliable.

Had an awesome massage with Deborah. She worked on the sore areas and by the time I left I felt SO MUCH BETTER. Coming back in two weeks. Worth every penny!

I highly recommend Abree Youngman at the scripps location. She adjusts to the pressure you prefer and attends to specifics without skipping on the rest of the massage. She got knots out I didn’t know I had!

If you want a facial I definitely recommend Emily! She’s amazing at what she does and is very knowledgeable. I’m coming once a month just to see her.

Spa aesthetics are calm clean and comfortable. Easy transition between treatments. I had a massage followed by a facial it was my first time there and highly recommend this spa.
