Cute and great little spot in ocean beach. Nice therapists great massages.we did the couples massage and they asked what brings us in and I mention my man’s birthday. After the massages they took us to this room and it had a cute bday sign apple cidar and sweet little treats for us to enjoy. It was included with couples massage but the happy birthday sign made it special. Clean place relaxing music in the lobby.

If you’re sore and very active, from a healer to another healer you definitely want to see Eduardo, definitely experienced in stretching and deep tissue massage. Always a different massage but much! Great body reset.

Avoid until they can properly staff their operations. I attempted to contact them via phone and email but couldnt connect with anyone (or get an email response). I arrived 15 min early to my appointment and was left completely unattended until my therapist arrived (1 min before our appointment time). There was no check in process, no greeting, no service.It soured my experience. Id recommend avoiding this location until they can staff adequately.

Had such a relaxing time at The Hidden Spa. Made last minute massage and Bryon killed it. Felt so refreshed after the massage and still do 5 hours later. Definitely coming back next summer!! Staff were friendly and the place was clean and smelt lovely!!

I havent had a massage in a year so it was definitely needed. I booked with janiel and I knew it was gonna be a great experience because I got up front parking as soon as I pulled up thats a win in itself. I was greeted by janiel and she walked me back to the room and the vibe was relaxing so I couldnt wait, she leads me to the room I change and lay on the table and she comes back in to start the massage. She asked me my pressure preference and if there was anywhere she really needed to focus on I was like everywhere and we started from there l. The massage was wonderful the hot stones the warm towels my favorite part was the feet Im normally ticklish but I wasnt and I work on my feet and walk a lot so that helped tremendously. I was in a trance leaving the establishment so much that I took a little walk on the beach just so I didnt fall asleep in the car lol. This will definitely be my treat to myself.

The area around the hidden spa has cleaned up (there used to be a lot of trash and other unsanitary things left by the homeless people that slept nearby) so I decided to give it a shot. I’ve been involved in several snowboarding and vehicular accidents that have messed up my body.I had a really stiff neck and twinging lower back for over a week and decided on a myofascial massage with Hulu. Let me just say, Hulu is the man, he worked so much tension out of my muscles, he even found tension I didn’t know was there. I can actually move my neck through a full range of motion! This might be in my top 5 massages as far as pain relief (and I’ve had many) I’ll be back!

This place was so incredible. My mom and I were in town for a wedding and she got a body massage and I got a lymphatic drainage facial massage. After an extensive spa search, this was the only spa that offered a lymphatic facial massage in the area. The exterior was unassuming (which is always a good sign in my opinion). We were greeted with such warm staff and they also offered us some cold or hot tea. We both had such a great time, and my mom was raving about how relaxed she felt for the rest of the day. If youre in the area, I would 100% recommend!!

This place is under (relatively) new ownership. And because of that, I gave it another chance after a mediocre experience some time back. I’m glad I did. My deep tissue massage from Hulu was incredible. He has a great technique and addressed some long-standing pain and stiffness issues effectively. I found my new massage therapist and highly recommend this place.

Hulu did an amazing job giving me the Traditional Swedish massage. Not only did he maintain great pressure throughout the entire thing, he made me feel safe the whole time. I mentioned to him in the beginning that I hunched my shoulders at work and that I had a little bit of discomfort in my right shoulder. I immediately noticed the attention and care that went into my shoulder during the massage, and I left feeling SO MUCH BETTER! At the end of the massage, I was given a glass of water and Hulu noticed that I mentioned my anxiety on my intake form. He proceeded to show me a light and sound therapy practice Hidden Spa does that would work for me in the future.Overall, I can tell that this place pays attention to your needs and tailors their business pitches to fit what works best for you when you return. We in town for my friend wedding. I gave her the party spa package without the facial as a surprise. She enjoyed herself and love it. I really like the party packageI had the hand and foot scrub.The receptionist was very nice.However, the place needs a big TLC. It would nice to have a big upgrade. My room sheet was stained with hair.

My facial was wonderful & my skin feels and looks rejuvenated. The vibe is relaxing the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Veronica gets 5 out of 5 stars very professional and proficient amazing facial. Thank you I will be making this my spa spot. I will be recommending this spa.

Such a lovely local gem this place is. My husband and I booked a couples massage here as part of our honeymoon getaway to SD and we were beyond pleased. We were pampered so well. It was much needed after months of wedding planning. Not to mention, the dessert and chilled cider at the end was a marvelous way to wrap up our zen-filled massage. The staff were so kind and friendly! The soft and tranquil ambiance put us at ease since I was a little hesitant to book with a place I’ve never been to. Did not disappoint! Our masseuses were fun, delightful, and even giggled along with us as we totally enjoyed the experience for the first time together. We definitely put this on our list of favorite places to return to when we’re visiting SD. Highly recommended. Pricing totally affordable and worth it!

This was my first time at the Hidden Spa and I must day thst the service was excellent . Received a deep tissue massage by Marlena, who was very professional, curious and the work she did on me was extraordinary, it took the pai away I had on the right side of my body. The ambience was peaceful and relaxing with a gental sound of music that put me to sleep. I am very happy with this service and I highly recommend the Hidden Spafor the well being of your body and soul.👍

Ive been going to hidden spa for years and have always had good massages but today I had the best deep tissue massage of my life from Marlena. Will always be booking with her from here on out.

I has Sienna for a Swedish massage. She seemed very inexperienced at her craft. The room was cold, and her cold hands applying cold coconut lotion, not oil, was not in the least bit relaxing. And again, it felt as if she was brand new, and had never been taught how to give a massage. Limp hands. Was not a good experience.I use to come to the Hidden Spa back before they changed owners a couple years back and loved them. Had some of the best massages Ive ever had there, but the new owner doesnt run the shop the same. Much lower caliber of service. They wouldnt even honor my gift card from 2016 that I got for my baby shower. 😢 $50 card had to be thrown away.

Im very happy after my deep tissue massage with Courtney. She is clearly well-trained in different types of massage. I told her Id been in pain from sitting at a desk for long periods of time and she knew just what to do. I finally feel like I have full range of motion in my neck and my shoulders are relaxed. I highly recommend her!

Awesome staff!! Very clean and hygienic Spa... Top Notch Customer Service from start to finish... Great relaxing atmosphere... Stopped by for a pedicure and Ariya (hope I got that right!!) is AMAZING!! She specializes in beach feet and my feet never felt or looked better!! So the following day I booked an hour facial with Stephanie, then followed that up with an hour full body massage with Jen... oh HEAVEN!!!! The facial left my face hydrated (pumpkin mask smelled so good!!) and with the microabrasion treatment I saw an immediate noticeable difference in my skin tone...evened out some sun damage and fine lines. Jen... she was FABULOUS!! After she finished my massage I was completely and utterly relaxed!! It was my first full body massage and Jens professionalism made me feel at ease and her great communication skills made it a truly great experience. If Im ever back in Ocean Beach... guaranteed Ill be stopping by for another visit!! Thanks to all the gals at Hidden Spa... keep up the great work!!

I had a lovely time at this spa. I got a couples massage; Swedish massage, scalp massage, foot scrub, and we had desert and champagne afterwards. My therapist, Carlos, was probably the most skilled therapist Ive ever visited. I dont know a ton about massage therapy, but I noticed he had wonderful technique and he did some movements that Ive never experienced before. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. Had a 60 minute deep tissue massage session which was a gift from my wife. The Hidden Spa had a great ambience and the staff were warm and welcoming. Bruce was amazing and very attentive. Highly recommended.

I went to get a massage, the lady sprained my wrist!! She yanked my wrist and I immediately screamed in pain. Afterwards she said she was trying to traction it. And they still charged me $105! I have had bad massages before, but Ive never had a massage where they actively injured me! My wrist is now swollen and painful. Its my right wrist, Im right-handed, and I work at a desk... Worst experience ever.Update: I called the manager, she refused to refund the massage. Instead she chose to gaslight me and claimed that Im fragile! In fact, Im an athlete and stronger than most people. She is literally adding insult to injury. This is a bad business, avoid at all costs!

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to do a couples massage for a long time. I researched a bunch of places in SD and picked Hidden Spa based on reviews and price. Compared to all of the places I looked at this one had the best deal. Making an appointment was super easy and they were very accommodating also. Even though the couples massage was a package deal I was still able to upgrade mine with hot stone and my boyfriend with deep tissue.When we got there the receptionist greeted us promptly and checked us in. Offered us some drinks and lead us into a cozy room to fill out forms. After that we were lead into the couples massage room. It was clean and cozy. Our masseuse asked a few questions on what areas we wanted to focus on, let us change out of our clothes, and began the massage.My masseuse was Taylor and she did a great job. And OMG the hot stone massage was amazing! It was just the right about of heat needed to loosen those muscles and it felt so wonderful. My boyfriends masseuse was Michelle (?) and he said she also did a good job. He had some tight knots and Michelle really got into them. At the end they gave us a sugar foot scrub. That was very nice too. My boyfriend has extremely ticklish feet so we asked if he can have a hand scrub instead which they were happy to do. Again, very accommodating. After our massages were over we were lead back into the first room to enjoy some complimentary sparkling cider and desserts. Nothing spectacular there but it was a nice touch to end the massage. We werent rushed at all during the whole time. We were definitely super relaxed after the massages. Especially my boyfriend (it was his first massage). He was still super relaxed even the next day!Overall, great experience and excellent massages. Prices are very reasonable. The staff were all very professional and friendly. Both my boyfriend and I would definitely consider coming back.

These ladies fit us into their schedule with just a days notice- Erika was my therapist and she was absolutely amazing, knowing all the right pressure points to loosen my neck and shoulders. The hot towels and aromatherapy was so relaxing, really lovely experience and highly recommended.

HORRIBLE SERVICE by Manager named Bich and front desk staff! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!I booked a couples massage for my husbands birthday last week and we were so excited to go because we had a nice experience there for my birthday. I get a call from the front desk lady around 10:00am asking us to push back our appointment 30 minutes due to the therapist being stuck in traffic. Fine. We show up about 10 min early to our 12:30 appointment and are put in the waiting room and told to help ourselves to water or tea while we wait to be called back. The waiting room is now littered with cheap print collateral and advertising with no music playing, where it used to be a relaxing atmosphere to unwind before your massage. The front desk girl, Linda, comes in at 12:45 (15 min after our treatment should have started) to inform us that the therapist was driving back from Yuma but decided to leave this morning instead of last night so now she is still far away and stuck in traffic and they have to cancel our treatment. We are frustrated as theyve now taken an extra hour from our day that we could have planned to celebrate doing something else. But fine again, well reschedule. Manager, Bich, was at the desk and apologized stating that they dont trust this therapist and that this is not the first time she has caused an issue with a scheduled appointment. Linda isnt able to find a time to reschedule so she said we can expect a call from her that same day with a new appointment date.No call from Linda that day to reschedule so I call the next day to follow up. Linda says they still dont have a new date/time confirmed so she will have to call back. Great. When she finally calls back with a confirmed date - 3 days after our first attempt to go in - I feel its time to let her know how disappointed we have been with the service and the way the situation was handled and Linda informs me the manager, Bich, was willing to give us a discount of $10 on our next service. $10!!!?? Seriously? Not even a whopping 6% of what we would be paying for the couples massage. I couldnt believe she really just offered $10 after cancelling a treatment and ruining my husbandss bday plans so I asked to speak with Bich again. Bich was in a treatment and would have to call me back. Linda also said she would personally text me the next day on her personal cell phone to follow up (which I thought was weird and unnecessary, but thats what she said so Ok) ...2 days later and no call or text or any follow up AGAIN. SO I call on Sunday to reconfirm our appointment time and guess who answers, Bich. YAY finally get a chance to explain how awful the experience and communication has been and discuss compensation for the extreme lack in service. Bich starts telling me that the therapist had to cancel because her dad died ((Yet we were told she was stuck in traffic on her way back from Yuma???)) and that they arent able to compensate more than $10. I explain very clearly that we arent even upset about the treatment having to be cancelled, we are upset with the way the follow up and communication was handled by herself and Linda. Bich then tells me how stressed out both her and Linda are and cant do anything else - so I reply that maybe if they are unable to perform their job duties perhaps this is not the best job for either of them. --- I obviously cancelled our appointment and will NEVER go back - which is a shame because we live a block away and like to treat ourselves to couples massages on special occasions and have had good experiences there in the past.Ive read other reviews from the past couple months stating that they are under new ownership and people seem to agree this place is crashing and burning real quick. Before even walking in to the waiting room, I could tell the place lost its class - now cluttered with advertising posters and best tanning in SD flags flying by the front door. Feels like a tacky asian massage spot, not a Hidden Spa like it once was. Get your act together.

Very clean, very polite. Swedish massage was fine; it did the job. No chatter, and I appreciate that. Only complaint is that I was a bit short-changed for time. Silenced my phone for one hour. Got undressed and waited a few minutes (not unusual, of course...but shouldnt be part of the massage time). Got the massage, got up, got dressed...and the phone was still silenced. Probably five or so minutes short of an hour; not a huge thing...but still...

Service and customer service are always great here. I came here again for my birthday to get a 80min deep tissue massage and it was so worth the money! I felt better! I am going to be setting up another appointment to keep up my routine here! I recommend this place 100%

This spa is a local, reasonably gem. They are always so accommodating with bookings which is a huge plus for me becuase I am always so last minute. Patty is one of the most talented estheticians I’ve ever seen. I’ve been going to her for Brazil-kini waxes for about six months. I had a massage there recently with Truth and it was amazing!

Giving a 3 star review because I have been a loyal customer for about 3 years now and I love the spa but the new ownership is TERRIBLE. I’ve been rescheduled on several times now because she always wants to “close early”. She’s also not friendly. If it wasn’t for Patty- who is extremely skilled at what she does, I would find a new spa altogether. Advice to ownership- if you want to close early so often, CHANGE YOUR OPPERATING HOURS, and stop inconveniencing your paying customers. Maybe work on your interpersonal skills as well.

Amazing 60 minute deep tissue massage! Luckily, they could accommodate a last minute request - booking, etc. was easy. The spa was clean and welcoming. Very enjoyable experience and would go back next time Im in town.

I came to San Diego for vacation and had booked a couples massage a month prior to my appointment and received a confirmation via email. When I arrived they informed me that they didn’t have my appointment on the books. I showed them the confirmation and they were not willing to honor the appointment.

Kimba is amazing! I had only had one massage before (a gift), and it was pretty disappointing. Being a typical guy, I would never pay to do this for myself, so it was only when my wife wanted me to have a second shot that I tried this place out. I felt like I was completey high on something after my massage from Kimba. I really couldnt believe it. Not to mention the atmosphere and everything about this place is fantastic.Now Im thinking I might pay for myself.

Super friendly staff and very professional. Our group went for diamond microdermabrasion and Swedish/deep tissue massage. We all had an amazing experience. The music was calming and relaxing. I liked the cucumber water that they had in the waiting area too, for before and/or after your treatment!
