Just amazing! The barman was very gentle, the place has this Irish style which is great and special. They have their drink, you can also find beers like: Coors, Sierra Nevada, Modelo. All types of alcohol are sell in there and Coca Cola is free!Very clean restroom.I really like it and the plus is that the bar is Pet Friendly!
We go there for drinks and a fun, relaxed place to hang out with friends. Nothing fancy but a warm place frequented by mostly locals. You can play pool too. There is a Mexican food truck parked outside to get food from. Theres outdoor seating. Theres parking lot and street parking.
Typical dive bar, but enjoyable if youre cool with that sort of thing. The area at the bar is small and got crowded, but theres another larger room on the other side which has plenty of space. Drinks were good, a little higher priced than Id expect.Cash only, and the mens restroom is a Porta potty outside.
This BAR has been there for many years. Its located near all the cemeteries. Ive cried many many tears here. Its a great place to go to after burying people you loved. The staff is GREAT! I highly recommend this Bar!!
Pleasant and welcoming. Staff was very friendly with a crew of regulars that make you feel like youre in the right place.
Definitely not my vibe, I came here with some friends. Bartenders were prompt and courteous. The beer options were okay, had a couple IPAs and a few lagers.
Full disclaimer Im adopted from Ireland so when someone at the bar says I too am from county cork!! I can only respond Is That You Papa? PAPA!? Of course Im just joking and good thing the guy was laughing b/c thats a gamble that could go either way.Up-Date 4th of July Edition:Everyone super friendly just looking for an excuse to laugh I never can get enough of the genuine artifacts they have on any one of the walls, me and 2 friends played pool while we enjoyed some really great food, courtesy of the bar.I know you can buy a Guinness anywhere but they have a truly great set up that basically ruined me for any other Guinness, unless its from Molloys you better be in Ireland b/c it dont get better...What’s a “football” game if your not drinking off a cask of Irish Whiskey ?
Its an Irish Pub! what do you want? best part of this place is the patrons. The stories and jokes going on inside is hilarious .
Owen and the Molloys gang are always good for a beverage or 2 or more. Owen so sorry for leaving dinner in the parking lot.
Had the best time in my life , in a long time at John birthday party , took my daughter and son n law and Son and his girlfriend and both love it.L.A. Joe
First time here to watch a football game. Bartender was great and the locals were friendly. I will definitely return!
I was the designated driver. The place was lively and people were having a good time. There was a local school fundraiser which was going on in the main event area, which is nice if you plan to do an event at a bar. The only caveat is that it is cash only - remember to bring cash.
Wow, what a disappointment! Being Irish, I seek out local Pubs offering Irish fare and hospitality. There’s no food! There’s a food truck, in the parking lot, and it’s not only outrageously priced, it is not quality. Middling flavors, slow service, not at all how the website nor the bartender made it sound. On the positive: drinks are served quickly and at a fair cost. It’s cash only, btw, so come prepared. Not going back.
I have been here just a few times even though I live about a mile away. Went to meet some friends from work. The clientele consists of mostly locals and some people from the CIty. Pretty mellow ambiance. The bartenders are not exactly nice. They ask what you want and have no interest in hearing anything else you have to say. Not exactly the attitude that you want when trying to get out to relax and have fun. I wanted to hear the music I had paid for and they didnt care to skip some songs despite the bar being pretty much dwindled to very few people. The people who had played some songs were gone or I would not have asked. This is probably why Ive only been there a few times despite the close proximity. This is the type of place you go to if you live close by and have no options.
Absolutely love this establishment. I really only come once a year in January because I live quite far from it but it’s a blast everytime!
I went on Sunday 4/2 in the late afternoon. I used to come to this place a lot and it was such a delight that I had to show my girlfriend my old stomping ground. Unfortunately, this time wasn’t pleasant. I made a mistake on the drink order. The bald older bartender was rude and called me dumb and other rude things in front of my girlfriend. Guess you can say this will make it memorable for her….in the wrong ways.
We had a great time. They dont serve food but they have a great food truck. Ibwish I lived closer.
The Historical Old Molloys is a great location for indoor and outdoor group events. The staff is very friendly. The drink selection is wonderful. Karaoke and Billiard table.Historical news prints from the local area are part of the decor.
Its all about a historical location and down to earth patrons. If you want a pub experience its Malloys.
Irish coffee the real way!!!Dropped off some special Blend Coffee from Life Boat Coffee for the business with a friend who owns the Coffee Co! Hoping the customers enjoy the plain coffee as much as i enjoyed the Irish version!
Great time, everyone is very friendly. The owner is excellent. The bartender each have there owe personality. But very pleasant. Good day to are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.Bartender is Danny , people person and a great person
We had a great time here. Vibes are cool and the ambiances is awesome. I will definitely be back!
Love this place... They have a food truck outside La Pencas which food is on point. Bartenders are amazing n friendly.
Had a great time hanging out there after working long shift
Molloys is a must stop if we are anywhere near by. Great folks, wonderful drinks, and always try to visit with Patrick if hes working that day. We HIGHLY recommend the Irish Coffee.
Molloys has been the go to place for me for years. All the bartenders are special and great at their job. Clean and friendly with great history posted on the walls
Good vibes!! Good music selection on the jukebox. Drinks are reasonably priced. Seating available indoors and outdoors. Outdoor has a nice atmosphere headlamps and TV. Food truck was in the parking lot for a quick and convenient bite to eat.
I was once there years ago and really liked it. The building and insides are great. Its tucked away in an unlikely location. Back then the bartender was nice. I went last night and had a really nasty bartender. She was very short with me. I asked for one beer, Were out. was her curt reply. I asked what was available for Happy Hour. She said everything on tap was $5 all the time. So I ordered the hard cider, got it and left $6. She alerted me that I left the wrong amount. I said, I thought you said everything on tap was $5. She angrily replied as if I were a moron, Cider is not a beer. Beers are $5. Ciders are $6. I left another dollar. BTW, there is no law that says you have to tip and this bartender did not deserve one. Ever heard of customer service? I hate to take down the whole tavern because of one lousy bartender, but so long as she is working there, I wont be a patron.
Old fashion Irish pub. Accepts only cash. Good music. Good IPA and Guinness on tap and a nice selection of Irish whiskey. Chilled atmosphere.
The 4th star is because of the taco truck in the parking lot. Otherwise, its a typical stinky Irish bar, not pub, but a good place to toast after a funeral at the cemetery across the street.
We may have lost the game tonight but the spirit of the fans here won my heart
Great little quintessential Irish bar in an in between kinda location. So a great place to meet up south of the city, northern peninsula. Pool darts good drinks and service easy parking.
I used to go there alot in the 70s and 80s. I drove a truck 🚚 out of San Diego and my aunt used to live close to there and thats were I would park 😊man did I ever have fun their 😎🍺and what a history the place has.
Ive only been here twice, once when it was completely dead, and again with a DJ blasting terrible music and bartenders who would not respond to me. At neither time did I feel like paying $9 for the basic beer I could get at the liquor store and just drink it at the graveyard next door, which has far better looking people
Interesting patrons and historical items on the walls . Lots of parking. Large selection of drink although for an Irish pub NO Boddingtins, Bass, Harp but they do have Guinness. Which they make a pretty good black and tan mixed with Sierra Nevada .
Great for our get togethers with old friends. Bartenders are nice. Need to make the bar bigger for busy nights hard to get a drink sometimes. Bartenders need to be trained in Part training so they can restrain a violent intoxicated person with no harm to them or the person. Real nice guys! Oh and More bathrooms needed lol....isnt that just about every where for women.
I typically only stop in on Saturdays or Sundays during the day. The patrons are friendly, the bartender remembers us every time we come in (about once every 4 months) and the drinks are reasonably priced. Love this place
My Favorite bar in the bay, hands down. You always know a friendly face, but youll consistently meet new people. Molloys feels like a well used recliner that most people wouldnt think to sit in. This bar has seen decades of people coming and going. As for the drinks, more than fair pricing for a drink that might contain a spritz of soda you asked for in your favorite whiskey coke (perfection). So probably never drive yourself here. The bar tenders are all about the customer and if you arent happy with your drink, its not them, its you 😏. Cheers!
Great atmosphere. Great meeting place for drinks and talk after burial services. Good prices. Cash only. Pool table. Music.
Great old time Irish pub. The atmosphere is off the charts! Its like entering a time machine.
Excellent bar. Solid crowd and amazing memorabilia. I waited too long to check this place out, and should have gone sooner. All the good word about this bar is true.
Enjoyed covered, outdoor seating with lights and heaters. A great place to grab a drink in a safe environment. Nothing like a hot Irish coffee to end the night.
Neighborhood home town bar for friendly gatherings. I cannot drink alcohol and the owner had no problem with virgin Marys (bloody Marys with no vodka). Noisy and fun! Come by and relax.
Celebrating the life of my great cousin Donald Christopher Roberts was respectfully observed by the gracious folks in and of Malloys historical establishment. I thank them all for their service and caring respect Yours truly, David Christopher Healy
Lots of historic memorabilia from sports, like John L. Sullivan, military, and characters like Emperor Norton. Good Irish Pub with good drink prices and the Irish bartender is friendly and efficient. My Pipers Corner is like a piece of Ireland. :-)
I have been remodeling the entire reastraunt lately. Every thing is looking so good inside and out. The new kitchen has been upgraded .and the food has never been any better.
Need a fun night out? Maybe some place to watch sports now and then, or looking for a neighborhood bar to set up roots. This bar is it! Sports, friendly regulars that welcome friendly newbies willing to spark up a conversation. The owner(bartender), of this long time family bar, Owen is amazing!, Qwen always has a smile and always makes me feel comfortable, whether Im solo or with a group. Pat long time bartender, will steal your heart, with his adorable Irish accent, great stories and making sure youre added to their Facebook page to always know whats going on. Big hugs Pat!
Molloys is a nice little place with a cozy atmosphere. I was there for a reception so I cant say anything for the pricing but the bartender was very nice and personable.
If ya like old fashion Irish pubs, ya cant beat it. They have their regulars, but any newbees who walk in are always made to feel welcome. We have a tradition of visiting our dads at Holy Cross and stoppin by Malloys to toss one down for them. Patrick, the barkeep, is very hospitable and if ya dont love his Irish accent ya aint Irish.
Although Colma has a significant number of cemeteries, there also are several must-visit sites for the living. Old Molloys has a great ambiance reminiscent of taverns of times gone bye.Historic photographs and memorabilia dating back to the turn of the century (1900s) adorn the walls. The full bar and skilled bartenders will quench any thirst. Be sure to check it out when youre in the vicinity.Wyatt Earps grave is nearby, as is Levi Strausss mausoleum, should you wish to share a quiet reflective moment.
When I hear that song I love this bar I think of this place
Definitely my go to tavern when i just want to sit down and relax after a long day. bartenders are very attentive and friendly. Place reminds me of something straight out of an old 50,s movie, where you walkin and see em wiping the bar and hell ask ya whata itll be Joe lol all while sharply dressed. The building is filled with a lot of old school news cutouts and memorable events about Molloys,San Francisco and about the town. great place to take a girl or wife to play pool, darts and even beer pong lol.
I love this bar!! Its always a good time there. New fence and patio area are really nice!! Go and have a drink for me!! CHEERS! 🍻
Standard pub vibe. Cool memorabilia covering the walls and even parts of the ceilings.Only drawback Ive noticed after a few visits: As of Nov 2016, in desperate need of new dart boards; darts have to break the sound barrier if theyre going to stick in the board.
I grew up near this place but made 1st trip back since pandemic started....Still a great homie feeling place to have a cocktail with lots of great history all over walls
A very friendly place, on Wed. Deanna bartends, She is awesome. They have a Pool Table, pinball machine and a bunch of fun patrons!
Fantastic bar. Outdoor seating available right now and a great taco truck out front. Absolutely amazing place to grab a pint.
Bartender was rude when I asked if I could taste the City IPA...his retort was Jesus Christ. I should have walked out but liked the IPA so asked for a glass.
Best bar in South City! Everyone from the owner, to the bartenders and regulars are awesome people. Immediately made me feel at home.
Amazing place. People are very welcoming and make you feel like youve always been apart of the bar. And by far the place to be on St. Pattys day.
Stared at my ID for 30 seconds, looked me up on the internet and laughed for absolutely no reason when I was polite at the bar. It only takes 5 seconds to look at someone’s ID. Don’t discriminate people even if they look very young.
Waitresses were very Friendly and delivered! Drinks were not watered down and no problems whatsoever.
It was great😁. Great drinks. I had a great time. Nice people, it was awesome 👌
No pretense here. Bring and receive the proper, Old School Irish bar respect. Ask for Meghan to be your server. Great folks, here. Thanks, Owen.
Pretty rednecky but the bartender was super friendly. They have a pool table, too. Heads up though: this is one of those places that only accepts cash.
Our bartender Jack was soooooooo awesome! We had a very long 3 day cross country drive and our experience at this bar with Jack was the highlight of our trip so far.
Its historical, bunch of good people freakquent the bar. The owner Owen Molloy, helps his community. The bartender Pat is always on his game.
A solid piece of California History, definitely a spot to check, especially if you are a member of E Clampus Vitus
This place has so much history on the walls it clearly documents all the momentous events of the twentieth century, not the least of which is an original photograph of the flag raising on Iwo Jima signed by Joe Rosenthal who used to frequent the bar.
A really old traditional Irish style bar. Its a very famous place to go after a Catholic funeral service. Very cool!
Molloys unfortunately isnt openbut on a normal day, its Great.Met a few friends in the parking lot. Cant wait for the world to get back to normal....what ever that is...have a great day...stay safe
The bartender was really friendly. The place has a good old SF feel to it.
Great Irish Pub. They pour the best Guinness and Jamesons around. Look forward to going back for more. Cheers!
Great old genuine Irish bar. Get down early and Patll take care of ye!
Great old Colma bar! Check out all the old SF pics inside this old establishment
The best and fun local I know! The dart boards are great and the only place thats been drinking longer then me!
The history on the walls are almost as good as the service and atmosphere of the place. $1 pool table and good times
The worst place ever the bartenders and the guy running this place he tried stealing 90 $ change after i payed him with a 100 $ not only that he said they dont want Mexi-can .or anythin that end wit can. So thats that
Had a great time, cool little pub, decent prices, good company and they have a pool table and shuffleboard table.
Hella SF, Colma, South City history. Friendly locals. Classic Irish American watering hole with a taco truck out front
Fair prices lots of outdoor seating, bartender makes good drinks
Awesome bar very friendly bartender and customers and friendly. You can feel the positive vibe there
My fav Irish Pub nearby, the owner and bartenders are nice and they treat you well.
Owen and staff are very polite and have great customer service! Nice bar hangout and chill.
Best place in town, people are very helpful and friendly. Bar is clean, pool tables are nice.
Owen, Pat, Danny, an my favorite Dianna are all great,
Owen is working hard to serve the community . The new fenced courtyard is incredible. Consider stopping by for a look and a shot.
A place we always go to toast someone after a funeral. The one star less is for the place being a cash only bar.
Came by for cousin Malloys family get together and barkeep Pat Lane is the best!
Good drinks, friendly people, good taco truck! Nice extended outdoor patio seating.
Bit of a dive bar, cash only but they have an ATM there, and the people are super nice. Average selection of beer.
Great place to have a fun time. Bartender is awesome
Great place to be with your friends or co workers to blow off any stress or just to relax and have a good time.
The bar tender was friendly. Had a good time . Un like the time before with another b. t. He was really un friendly.
