First time visitor, and had an enjoyable evening.Bartender was very accommodating and attentive.

Ive been going to Marthas for a couple years now, but my experiences from the last time I visited led me to leave this review, and I am not sure I will return any time soon.If youre not paying attention, they will over charge you for your drinks (my friend was charged $13 for a double shot of Captain Morgans, whereas my whiskey soda (mind you, with a double shot) must have been 8ish dollars). Secondly, they set the tip options from 25%-45% hoping that youll be too tipsy to notice. Thankfully, I wasnt, and didnt fall for it.These practices are unethical, and unbecoming of what I thought was such a welcoming place for folks of all walks. As I mentioned, I dont think Ill be coming back soon.

Came from Utah for work in MO. Was driving by and saw lights and music on a Sunday. Turns out it was a talent show! Stayed the night and had some drinks served up by Faith, she’s the best! Great place and friendly patrons

Tonight was my first time at Marthas. WOW, the show did not disappoint. The performers were AMAZING.The food is delicious.All around great place to go for fun, food and drinks!!!

Its a safe place, parking is ample and easy. It was kind of dead when we were in there. Security was nice when we were coming through, same with bar tenders. Shot girl walking around ignored us.

It was fun , I enjoyed it and taking pictures of the performers . They were very talented . The crowded there was nice as well as the employees .

Live music, local artists. I saw The Jazmynn Grounds Project!! Absolutely snatched entertainment! Must see! Catch their headline show at Lindbergs in Springfield, MO on 6/23/24, and you can listen everywhere you get your music!

Worst bar Ive ever been to. Open and rampant drug use. Too much going on for management to even know whats happening or whos leaving with who. Place is a walk in security risk. And all the while, you have minors around adults 25 - 40 years old, drunk and under the influence. Surprised they havent been closed.11/4/23 was the night we visited.Will NEVER come back.

First time ever there and Ill definitely come back! Very relaxed. Great show! Im leaving at 9 so I dont know about the rest of the night but as far as the show was dust ever fabulous

Faith, Lauren and Hannah are wonderful at their jobs! They all have great attitudes and make you feel at home. One of my favorite places to go for some fun!

Great night out with the besties! Marthas never disappoints! Cody was our bartender and was excellent! He was kind, funny and makes great drinks! Great guest service! Thank you for always making us feel welcome!

The atmosphere is always fantastic! Welcoming to everyone! The new menu is delicious!Lauren is so adorable! Fun and Bubbly while also knocking the drinks out ASAP!

Great staff!!! There was an issue with someone in my party when I had visited this business for the first time. The way they handled the situation was much better than I would have. Staff is very respectful and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely be back (without the disrespectful party). I love the way you guys stand up for others. It was great to see and experience.

Great show..... but the DJ is an expert at clearing the stage with his/her bad taste in music. Been there so many times, DJ is always a let down.Again, great show though... dance club after: meh.

Been here many times with my family and friends. We always have a GREAT time. The drinks are wondeful, the atmosphere is great, the $1 shots are great. We never leave disappointed. Coming down from KC for this weekends Pride event! Very excited!To those complaining about the bass, you shouldve thought about placement when living next to a highly popular bar!

The drinks were great but we came to see the shows as everyone else had too, except there was sooo many tall people in the front that everyone behind them couldnt see anything including the screen on the wall. Would be better if we could have enjoyed the entertainment. Left in 45 minutes.

I love Martha’s! I always feel safe every time I go here, and the drinks are good! The only complaints is that last night when I went, the music was horrible. Half of the songs were stuff that me and my friends have never heard, and the transitions from one song to another was not good at all. The other complaint was that whenever I paid for my entry, I walked past the security not knowing Martha’s now scans as I haven’t been to this establishment in over a year and that is something very new, plus I did not see a scanner in sight. I only walked a few steps past the security guard and stopped a few feet away from him as I was waiting for my friends to pay and he shouted in the loudest, most rudest voice “hey” and pretty much drew unnecessary attention to the situation. I understand that it’s his job and that we are scanned for safety measures, but it was an honest mistake plus I was close enough to where he literally could have said “hey miss” in a normal tone rather than yelling at me like I’m a criminal and causing a scene. This honestly ruined my mood for the entire night as it was super embarrassing and now I’m kind of iffy on if I will return for a while. Other than the rude security and the music though, it was an okay time, and every other time I’ve been here had been amazing!

Haven’t been, but just looking at the photos… I’m both shocked and intrigued. My wife and I are currently enjoying hibachi on a Friday evening and are seriously considering checking this place out

This small club has fast become a favorite. Great music, great entertainment, friendly staff , loads of fun and $ 1.00 shots til close. From the first visit I have felt welcome and always have a great time. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy themselves.

Great priced drinks, lots of really sweet and easy drinks. Very polite people and the servers were super fun. Awesome experience. Very basic, modern music, they dont mix it up much.

Have been here several times. Consistently unwelcoming to older patrons. This venue is geared more towards 20 somethings. I prefer a venue that respects and welcomes us older folks.

Boyfriend and I went into crowded didnt know they were having a function masqerad party no place to sit in the ball room so we didnt get to see show but like to come where boyfriend and I can be ourselves

I was there on 4th of July. 5 dollar cover to see local kids with no talent, but that is ok. My drink was 7 bucks and I could not even taste the alcohol.The bartenders acted like they were doing you a favor to mix your drink.Then they had the auto 25% gratuity toy for suckers to pay more for rude service and weak over-priced drinks.The restroom was absolutely filthy dirty. I walked out.

This place is very peaceful with the wind blowing on the beaches nearly everyday. We vacationed here in 5/2012 and enjoyed the quiet, calm, and relaxing nature of this town. They also have a great public transportation for you to get around because it is very expensive to bring your car to Marthas vineyard.

This was an awful experience. Went for the first time! The bar tender was so high she was nodding out at the counter. Then to make it even better. She put pineapple in a Long Island iced tea. Wouldn’t have been a big ordeal if I WASN’T allergic to it! Which is why I order those particular drinks. Because I know they are safe.

Had an amazing time! The atmosphere was amazing! I would give them a five-star if when I asked the bartender to call me a cab because I was too drunk to drive home she told me no. I would have just called my own cab but I did not have internet service and no one seemed to know the Wi-Fi password. The reason I will go back is because Matt the front cashier actually let me hook to his Wi-Fi and proceeded to help me register for an Uber. So shout out to Matt youre great at your job thank you so much for going the extra step! ❤️

LOVEEEEEE! This place is race friendly! They will accept anyone and everyone. everyone always has a great time. After showtime, we all just dance and meet people. It really is a lot of fun. 🤘🏼

Was there for Pub Crawl on Saturday night. I didnt appreciate the way the door man wearing the red hat treated me when I asked where the nearest exit was. He was rude and had a lot of patrons laughing at me. I was getting claustrophobic and needed out, but didnt want to go out the front.Well, once he had the other patrons laughing at me I said screw it and went out the entrance through the line of people. So much for making people feel welcome. I didnt come back once I left, not worth being treated that way.

Ok, so the place is a dive. There is no door on the bathroom and its for everyone, the place could really use some maintenance, but this is the bar I feel safest in. I can go there with a group of friends and no one gets harassed. It used to be known as the gay bar but it draws a crowd beyond that. Its the no judgement here bar. The drag queen shows are great.

This place is pretty cool to the open minded. Please if you are a narrow minded person stay clear. I went her recently with one of my best friends. We dont usaly go to bats like this. But thought, hey why not. The night we went they just happened to be have g a drag show. Omg. Let me tell you it was great. The crowed went wild. The ladies danced and gave a show like no other that I had seen before. It was so much fun. After we walked around the bar. They have like 3 bars in one here. The one when you first come in. The one to the left where the stage is. And the theres the one to the right. Its the VIP room and is all white. It was pretty cool in there. A little more private and what seems as if your had your own personal bartender. The only kind of downer about this place is the bathrooms. They are not very up to date and have no mirrors. All in all this is a pretty cool place. I will return to this bar again.

This place USED to be something great. Ive been going since 2002 and it was a great place where people were accepted no matter what. it has since turned to a place where people are mistreated, disrespected, and used and thrown away. that fact is that there are several newer and BETTER venues for the LGBTQ community that ACTUALLY promote community and TOGETHERNESS, whos drinks are much better priced, and whose shows are much better. It truly hurts me to turn my back on this place that has brought me so many happy memories in the past but the truth is that Marthas Vineyard died years ago. A group I came with recently came to cover the pride event and ended up leaving because they were treated rudely from the staff as well as yelled at by others working the event. once we left they proceeded to unfriend and then block my entire group on FB since they got the videos and the event promoted FOR FREE and then were told not to come back. RidiculousI fully expect this post to be removed so just in case I screenshot this and will repost as many times as I need to.

Had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was very welcoming, it felt like home. Drinks were priced well and the drag shows were AMAZING. Would recommend!

Extremely welcoming establishment. The whole place has a genuine non-judgmental vibe to it. Great place to meet open minded, intelligent, and fun people.

I really dont even have to explain my rating... As most know already how this establishment is, but Ill go ahead for the points. Kudos to them for having one of the dirtiest establishments in Springfield. Underage drinking amongst many other things happening. I feel like the labor board and city of Springfield needs to hear that I personally am owed legal wages from the past as I never was paid. Along with many other individuals. Not only for show purposes, but other work that was done for their establishment. There is nothing legal about this company (which many know already) and I really wish that they would get it together as there really are not many places in Springfield that welcomes gays, drag queens, etc. I hope that one day they wake up to realize before they end up being closed down. How many citations does one company need to get the picture?! Look at the history... Its not as positive as they try to make it out to be. Best wishes Marthas. Its not all employees thats causing this as some truly are genuine individuals stuck in a mess of a situation/trying to make a name for themselves/have bills to pay/etc. Since you had to ask me about this place google... This place is an absolute hoot, the people are amazing and the drag queens fabulous. They have $1 shots with a variety of flavors, and an ATM in club for easy access.

Go here if you want to dance to the Cupid Suffle, Wobble, and the ChaCha Slide every single Friday and Saturday. You guys need to switch up the music desperately, it gets stale hearing the same thing every weekend.

The owners of Marthas Vineyard and their consultant have been spotted looking at new venues around Downtown Springfield. They spent a lot of time at the unfinished space in College Station. Kansas and Battlefield plus South Glenstone Avenue are under consideration.
