Zen Nightclub

The security at this club was ridiculous.A white male security staff member, supposedly tasked with ensuring safety, exhibited unprofessionalism and disrespect. He forcibly grabbed my arm under the pretext of speaking Spanish to me, solely because of my Hispanic appearance (his words). Despite calmly explaining that I was looking for my companion and not causing any disruption, he callously dragged me out, using excessive force. Its worth noting that even other club staff members were urging him to release me.Additionally, this security guy, hired to maintain order, had been dancing the night away instead of prioritizing his responsibilities. Its baffling that he felt compelled to exert force on me, a 55 female who posed no threat and was simply trying to locate someone. The club was full of people, yet he singled me out, displaying a blatant disregard for professionalism.When questioned about his unnecessary use of force, he cited my failure to follow his directive to turn around. However, his inconsistency was glaring, as he passed numerous individuals without enforcing such directives. This incident has left me extremely disappointed. Never to return to this establishment. I am compelled to share my experience with family and friends, as its disheartening to witness individuals with the slightest authority abusing their roles, prioritizing personal issues/frustrations over safety.

Its always a blast hanging out there, drinking and dancing in their 3 dance floors. I do miss the karaoke spot on Saturdays.. but specifically now I the winter its the best place to go party cause of the cold ❄️😁🎶

They’re only job is to keep beer cold for their customers and they failed, last 4 times i ‘ve been there, the beer downstairs is warm, no wonder i see less and less people every-time i go there, keep selling warm beer and soon you’ll be outta business, sorry!

Came to celebrate a friends bday and a person who claimed he was the DJ just came and took my seat and used an excuse he couldn’t hear hear me. After siting at my set they continued to bump into me as they wanted me to move forcefully. I will never come to this place. They also have so many violations in the facility. Stairway is not secure to down stairs club Will not come to this place again. People who think they have the right to bump you off you chair because they fell they have the righter way is not they way to do business.. This place is a fire hazard.

Bartenders are inattentive. Extremely poor service. At the bar over 15 minutes, front, bar top, and still wasnt able to get a drink. Music is pretty good but terrible service without a doubt from the bartenders at the first bar. Place gets packed. Women restroom downstairs. Messy floor. Completely wet.

Ive been coming here for years and can genuinely say this place is a lot of fun but it gets packed, messy, and very ghetto. Ive witnessed several fights. They have three dance floors and two bars and it takes forever to be able to order a drink. The middle dance floor must be the most popular one because its the crowdiest, meaning its so packed you cant move, talk, dance, or walk through. They charge a cover and then they also charge a VIP cover. I was there in August 2022 and the gentleman in the front tried to charge me $100 to get in. He then negotiated to a lower amount, SUPER SHADY! Completely ridiculous.

Only one bathroom for women but multiple for men. Not well maintained, music is very good if you’re a Spanish speaker. Not very musically/culturally diverse unless you’re Hispanic. Not a bad club though just not a too 5 choice

Weve been coming here for the past few weeks. It seems like the DJ plays a pre-recorded track because the songs are always the same, but cant complain since theyre all good songs. The biggest complaint is one of the lady worker. Dont tell your customers to move out the fu$#en way! Um bi#$, you move. We paid to get here, not you.

Enjoy the nights at Zen. Everyone is nice and I Love to dance to the music at all levels.

I’d I could give them 0 stars I would. The security was extremely rude, the cover charge was not worth the entry (we’re in Tucson, not L.A.!). There’s better places on 4th to have a good time in.

Not friendly at all.. I have a service animal and they still refused to let me in. They were asking for her service documents and what my disability was. I do not carry documents with me at all times so that a huge inconvenience! They refused to listen and when i tried to educate them about federal law regarding service animals, they behaved like animals and blocked their ears. Similar to children when they know they are wrong and dont want to hear the truth.

3/17/18I’m from Phoenix AZ and was out in Tucson for the weekend. I wanted to go out and I’m glad I came to this night club. It has 3 different dance floors. That Saturday night wasFloor 1 - Hiphop musicFloor 2- I believe it was some sort of techno musicFloor 3 - (Underground floor) was Latin MusicThey had good music and drinks are reasonably priced.

Ehhhh a lot of old Mexican music bruhh what am in a high school prom get some carti, trippy red som actually good music.

Online it said it was open and when I showed up to check it out it was closed. Id like to attend the events but now am hesitant to trust the information presented online. When will you guys be open next or are you closed for Good?

Cool place, cheap drinks, 19D door guy was awesome. only downside is they wont let you wear a hat inside the club.

One of the security guard was really rude with one of my friends, for no reason; the club is good though. Problem is the security guard.

Fun place for you and your group to party thirsdays is mabye the best night due the fact that it is 18 and up that one night

The worst place to go in downtown Tucson! It is the worst experience to go to a place where you feel unsafe as the security guards prefer to use force and choke someone to the point of leaving serious marks to do their job! The only goal of that night was to have a good time and not end up in the hospital because the places security guard decided to choke someone who almost forgot to leave his drink before leaving the place when he wasnt even going to leave!

Very fun and tasteful, the diversity of music and good service.
