I love Respects!! It is always a blast for emo night. You get great music, great drinks, and a great crowd. They get a little wild and we mosh to some questionable songs to be moshing to, but everyone is pretty respectable (pun intended) with each other and it is a phenomenal time! Amazing atmosphere to be a part of.
Respect’s is not only the best venue in Palm Beach County. But a PBC institution. I have been going for more years than I can remember. From local acts to international, Respectables never disappoints.Love their re-entry policy, more venues should take note from this old punk rock club.
Always a great night. Tons of fun events to choose from. The staff is attentive and remembers what Im drinking. Great vibes all around. Wish they were in Broward but its worth making the drive.
I have been here twice. The first time was for a meet and greet with one of my favorite wrestlers, Jeff Hardy & the second time was for a concert, Nita Strauss was performing. When youre there, its a fun environment! However, I tried calling them during their business hours and left a message and ways to contact me. I never heard back from them.
I have a strange relationship with this place. Literally every time I come here I end up sick within days. At first I just thought nothing of it, but then the next 3 times here I got really sick. I stopped going here because of that reason. I’ve asked around and others have mentioned that they notice that they get sick shortly after being here. It’s always upper respiratory issues and the place sometimes has a musty smell. I’ve avoided this place for almost a year so idk how it is now.
This used to be one of my all-time favorite bars on clematis, hands-down. I’ve been going to this bar for eight years and I’ve always had a good time that is up until recently. The Guy who Watch the doors extremely disrespectful and always seems to have a problem with me. Not sure why, he Even used my personal life as a reason that I can no longer enter the bar for an argument that I had with my GF at a pizza place in march…. Not even this bar. Furthermore, he says Disrespectful to my friends and family About Me when they enter the bar. Strangely enough, I couldn’t even tell you this guy’s name, but for some reason, he has some weird vendetta against me. Anytime I pass by constantly has a Derogatory comment to say. he is extremely unprofessional. I’ve tried to reach out to the owners of the bar and leave my contact info. They never respond back, obviously they don’t care. It truly is upsetting for me because it was one of my all-time favorite places, but the help at the door has totally ruined all that. I thought they would make amend but I was wrong instead they doubled down and now I’m not allowed at all because I voiced my opinion. I have video I will upload to YouTube . Terrible bar
This is my favorite bar in west palm! If you are visiting or a local looking for a new spot, come here! I’ve been here too many times to count in my years living here and will keep going. Shows all the time live bands and more!
Great venue. Great sound. Great staff. The only issue is we come from a state with no smoking in bars or venues 😁
This is such an awesome place to see a show. We went and saw The Interrupters play and what a great venue! Craft beer, a cool place to sit outside, a small, intimate stage just the right number of people inside. This reminded me of my college days in Manhattan and it reminded my husband of some cool places in Detroit like Saint Andrews. It is always great to see a show when you can actually see the people performing.
Awesome venue! Was recently visiting family in the area and heard Mustard Plug was playing a show here. The layout is really cool, the staff is nice, and the drinks were reasonably priced. Ill definitely be back next time Im in town.
Great atmosphere, great people. Terrible DJs. Never mixing, only sudden and dull fade transitions. On top of that, almost the whole songs are played. Only thing that makes this place a 3 star club. Other than that, great place.
Loved the bands we saw. Had a great time.
As a longtime customer, I find it regrettable to witness the apparent decline in both quality and atmosphere at this establishment. The current state fails to meet the standards I have come to expect over the years.
Great Punk/Retro bar. Use to go there 30 years ago ... hasnt changed. Still have a young fringe crowd, big dance floor, small quaint patio, cool bartenders and decent drink prices.
I went here for the first time last night for the Abba Disco Night and it was a fun time! I really enjoyed the artwork in the back and the vibes inside the club. My only suggestion would be that I wish they played more Abba. I feel like I only heard like 4 Abba songs for the two hours that my friends and I were there.
The oldest and best club for alternative music in Florida.
Small venue with lots of local bands playing frequently. Lots of free shows, cheap drinks, and a friendly clientele. You wont find a bunch of fancy amenities in this club, but its just about the realest kind of club you can find, and thats what its all about.
I live in Brooklyn and was looking for a good venue in WPB and finally found it here. Managed to walk into a reasonably priced show with a bill of solid bands. Friendly bartender, chill crowd and I was also digging the murals in the backyard. Will return.
I just moved from NYC and i recommend this place. Several reasons. (Check out the schedule) house music to metal... 80s and more... good music. Friendly staff reasonable prices on drinks. great atmosphere.
Tall, skinny, white security guard with long hair didnt let me in without ID, I understand. I was there to see a band and didnt know it was 18+, but I didnt have an issue listening from outside. My main problem was seeing him let girls in without ID, and allowing them re-entry. Since I couldnt get in my friend went outside the venue to briefly hang out with me, afterwards this security guard wouldnt let her back in. My friend is a trans-woman, so this was extremely disrespectful and heart breaking for her when security allowed re-entry for cis women in but not her... Please remove the LGBTQ sticker from this venue, I will not be returning.
Its not often a business makes the kind of impression as this one has made on us. The staff- so friendly, yet very professional. Helpful...way beyond. Kind. Gushing maybe but cant wait to see some shows here. Thank you for all said and done!
One of if not my favorite clubs especially in the 561 Ive never had an issue with staff or the patrons everyone has a good time and I meet alot of cool people cant wait to be back tomorrow night
First time at Respectable, went with a friend for disco never dies. Nice atmosphere.
Prob the best bar on Clematis. Very cool live music vibe with weird art and some cool paintings on every wall. Theres always live music whether its a national act or local bands- punk, metal, grunge, hip hop this place has it all. Definitely worth checking out
I love this place but I wish y’all would use different colored wristbands for people under 21 like most clubs instead of using literal Sharpie on my hands. Bouncer made me rip my top just to draw them which made me sad (especially since I don’t drink)
If youve never been here you really need to get your life on track. When theres no band playing on the stage they let you dance up there. While your parents are out ballroom dancing in their fancy shiny shoes, throw on your blackest punk outfit and head on down to respectable Street. Theres another stage in the patio out back where they do karaoke sometimes. They have alcohol, non-alcohol, and energy drinks. They have chairs and tables and booths, and the art on the wall is crazy freaking awesome. Did I mention you can smoke inside?
I used to come here all the time when I was younger. I have very fond memories of this place. Met a lot of my best friends here, like Shelby, and Crystal who tended the bar outside.I would come for Flaunt and the occasional indie/electronica night. I have great memories of dancing and seeing bands play. One of my favorite shows was when Snowden from Atlanta came to play, and they were magical, with soaring tunes. Its too bad it was a bit empty for that show. Another great show I saw was one Thanksgiving when a Foo Fighters cover band played here. Its right on Clematis and I think theres a parking garage across the street now which is convenient. I would park somewhere down the street and walk since it was so busy. The cover charges are reasonable, as well as the prices of beer. The DJs are always exceptional.I also remember meeting Poison the Well here back in 2008. They were chill dudes and very approachable. I introduced my girlfriend to them and she freaked out. I dont know how many high profile artists frequent this place now, but Im sure there are some.I should go back one of these days, but Im sure the younger generation has now taken over. I heard theres new owners as well. But I always had a great time here, socializing with anyone and everyone.Overall I highly recommend this place to hipsters, scenesters, emoxcore kids, hxc kids looking for new friends and a place to play. Im not sure how much they get paid, but Im sure its reasonable.
Ive been going here since I was 21 and Ive never lost interest (10 years now!). Respectables takes ALL KINDS and you never have to worry about being judged or denied entry. Usually no cover and a great mix of dance music from the 80s through today. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Most reasonable price for drinks on Clematis as well! :D
Saw a concert here and loved it. The sound was great! The art on the walls was really cool. Just didnt enjoy the cigarette smoke inside. It was one big hot box of smoke
Easy going place, the patio out back can be a lot of fun depending on the crowd and the songs they choose to sing. Always been a good time here, its not difficult to get a beer!
A fun bar life environment. They have a great Irish pub, pizza places with live music and occasionally outdoor entertainment.
The tall blonde Bartender with the old coked up face lost my card.she was rude about trying to find my card that she lost.she told me she didnt remember seeing me. There was over 20 different charges on my card for that club. Thank God I stop my card once I released this Bartender was trying to run a scam on me. Do not go to this place. The Bartender with the blonde coked up face is a thiefs.
Wonderful time watching “The Ordinary Boys” Morrissey and Smiths cover band. Well worth the drive. Nice area too.
Music from all over here the karaoke in the back on Saturdays is amazing and the drinks are cheap but well made. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable seek out Jason Tanya or Veronica for all the best drinks!!!!
This is one of the best live-music venues in South Florida featuring all kinds of local and national bands. DJs will mix everything from 80s to hip-hop, alternative and new wave.
Awesome venue, loved our bartender. She remembers us every time we come in and we are always served immediately— great place.
Back patio venue so small and cramped like a clown car, and no refuge from the cigarette choked air inside. Just a horrible music venue, the acoustic equivalent of a sewer drain. And $5 for a warm Pabsts Blue Ribbon? Ha ha.
Like the updates to the Decor. Great Service as always. Hope to be there for the concert this Friday the 10th
A member of our party had passport picture to enter. Denied entry. Only place on the pub crawl that did it.
Bouncer said we almost knocked over 15 peoples drinks when we obviously didnt. He was bored and was obviously was picking on any girl that he could. It was the strange nu metal bouncer.
Cool indie vibe, live music, and a spacious patio area. Great for late-night drinks. No food served.
Awesome atmosphere and shows! Love the music they play. Good drink selection.
The staff here is so awful plus rude to customers and not polite to any one wanting to order drinks and I got short changed twice and then women was rude when I pointed it out plus she charged me two different prices for the same drink so I guess it’s charge whatever you like and pray you get your change back
Best club for underground live music, dancing to the best DJs that never play top 40 (which is so hard to find), and awesome karaoke.
Hasn’t changed in 30 years. “Intimate” indoor concert venue, tight and crazy when busy.
Nothing special but if I ask for a strong drink before the bartender do it its not so bad..
Very bad bartender experience. The lady seemed more interested in standing around then making drinks. Very cool vibes nevertheless!
Good music, good drink specials, good live bands usually free, good dance music, friendly staff, younger crowd, open late.
Been coming here for over 25 years. Super fun place to hang out.
A landmark really. Great place to see bands and has been for a really long time.
Good music. Nice people! Best place for Industrial/ goth bands.
Cool atmosphere, affordable drinks and friendly people.
Great little music venue.
Really fun place during the weekend good music, good vibe, and good prices on shots!
Smoking indoors is allowed and it gets really hot in there. Otherwise its a great place.
Great venue for live music!
Props to the booking agent. Always a great selection of music on the schedule.
Great place to catch a show. Reasonable beer prices.
Thursday and Saturday nights are great! Wear your dancing shoes.
Great atmosphere, Game of Thrones Burlesque show was a lot of fun.
I have been going to Respects since the late 80s. Always an AWESOME TIME!!!!LOVE THE ARTWORK !!!
Been going to Respectables for over a decade and never a bad time. Love their staff!
Cozy club with a nice patio area and a great bar.
Its so unique there you kind of dont want to tell anyone about it so it doesnt change.
Coolest place to hang out in the downtown West Palm Beach area.
Need an industrial, darkwave, new wave, ebm, synthpop night.
Always my crowd. Staff is great as always.
The coolest
Small venue, lots of people smoking inside.
Good music great vibe.
Drinks are too expensive and bouncer is obnoxious
Amazing time.... thanks so much
Always a good time on the other side of the tracks ...
Loved the loose women there!
Hipster club. Cheap and fun though.
