Very cool spot but the staff made the experience uncomfortable. We had a group of four and got drinks at the bar then went to check out the upstairs and one of the bartenders yelled (causing the entire bar to stare up at us) “hey people upstairs!!!” for my husband to not have his drink on the rail. Aggressively. Makes sense- no drinks on the rail- but could you have sent someone up to give us a heads up, or maybe not yelled and then stared up at us for the rest of the time we were there? Then when someone did come up we thought she’d be cool but she was short and not friendly at all. Didn’t make us want to stick around. With going out being as expensive as it is now, we prefer to frequent places that appreciate our business. Guy bartender seemed nice. He was the exception.

Great speak easy place, nice to chill and have some nice conversations. I asked for a spicy margarita and they got it just right!I took some photos of the ceiling, it looks like a tunnel. I was told by the bartender this place used to be a theater.

Great venue. Awesome service both at the bar and from the wait staff on the floor. We’ve seen both comedians and local bands. One of my top Wichita locations to go.

East Highs wrestling team had their end of season banquet here, and they owners were amazing! They went out of their way to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I look forward to visiting them during normal business hours.

We had a great time. The band was amazing and the vibe was great. My only complaint is the size of the place. Upon our arrival there was no open seats. We briefly stood by the bar and one of the waitresses was extremely rude.The drinks are also watered down and pricey.

Absolutely love this bar! Its very chill, drinks were great, and the staff was amazing! They had a live band, Stallion, that was great! Definitely would recommend and go back! The balcony would be great for a private party!

That place is a joke and Ill never go back there. On Saturday night Feb 17th 2024 I had my birthday party there, and my wife and I reserved two tables for our group. I really like listening to Annie up band and the two tables was by the dance floor. After the comedy show they had, we showed up and there is not two tables reserved. We had a sit of the very back of the bar.The place was very crowded I think beyond capacity. If the fire marshal had showed up he would have shut that place down in a heartbeat. And being so crowded, it took like forever to get anything to drink. I think they needed like two or three more bartenders to take care of everybody.

Went in for the comedy show on Saturday and LOVED it. the atmosphere is awesome and well presented. drinks were made quick and tasted great. cant wait to go back and enjoy another night.

It was awesome! Amazing wait staff. They had live music. Double Tap was playing. 80s 90s rock . They were on fire!! Will definitely be going again, especially when this band is playing.

Great drinks from the classic old fashioned or french 75 to more modern cocktails. Amazing atmosphere. A touch dark but really swanky. Definitely one of the best hang outs in Wichita.

The bartender (I didnt catch her name) was fantastic and the biggest reason that I will be back. I attended the Say What? improv show tonight, and they are to be commended as well.

Went to watch a band perform, left before they started. I know the group is good,cause I like to follow them around. However, I ended up in Balcony, but no one ever asked for my order, I couldnt even get anyones attention at the bar once I decided to put in my order by myself. Ended up leaving after trying for 45 minutes to get any type of service. Would say its probably due to the overwhelming amount of and very obnoxious patrons there. Could use more staff. Yes, we spent only $20.00, and thats because of the cover charge, and the guy at the door was kinda of a jerk!

I dont usually review poorly on my first time somewhere and especially since we might have picked a poor night to go, but it more or less ruined a good night out.We left an event and came here to hang out looking for a good place to chill and chat. Cocktail lounge usually fits the bill. The drinks were okay, the service was good, and the live music could have sounded great if it didnt give me a pounding headache. It was louder than many dedicated concerts Ive gone to.There was little to no time between any songs to talk with friends and you had to yell at people a foot away from you. Well take another go at it again at some point, but its medium to low on the list to revisit.

Had this on a list of places we had been looking forward to check out. Went on a Friday night expecting a high end cocktail lounge. There was a small cover charge upon entry and the space looked neat. Once we sat at the bar the female bartenders attitude was enough to make me want to walk back out the door. Ended up staying for 1 round and didn’t even finish our drinks they were so bad. A live band started playing and the music was incredibly loud for the small space. No part of the experience makes me want to go back to this establishment. Wichita could use a night cocktail lounge but this place is absolutely not it.

Nice atmosphere. Good service. Over priced, weak cocktails. Just ok goat cheese appetizer, again over priced.

I like this venue. Great sandwiches and drinks and atmosphere are great. My only complaint is that if they have a band playing its really loud and you wont be able to chat with anyone if they are playing.

I always have a nice experience here. Great drinks at affordable prices, and an atmosphere that feels a lot more luxurious and expensive than it really is. On Karaoke night, the host sings MAJESTICALLY! I highly recommend an evening at Vorshays.

I love this place. They have live band, karaoke and great cocktails. The staff and the owner are amazing human beings. Went early evening on a Saturday and had a great experience! The server was friendly and helpful, while the cocktails were delicious and the food was great. We had a few drinks, but our fave was the coconut, banana, and coffee amaro Coco Cabana cocktail.

Celebrated our anniversary here! We enjoyed everything! The V-nights cocktail was my favorite and the bruschetta was very tasty. Our waitress was excellent! The live band sounded really good as well. Overall a fantastic first time experience!

2 very enthusiastic thumbs down. tldr: bad food, very weak drinks, terrible service, creepy door guyPopped in here last night (before it got busy) for a light dinner and drinks with a few friends. The poor waitress had to come back to our table a comedic number of times because they couldnt make what we ordered. After my 4th order got shut down, I finally ordered a grilled cheese sandwich thinking Id picked the easiest thing on the menu. My 3 companions meals came and went. We waited. I was about to cancel my food order because it was hours later and we were ready to leave when the waitress came back, apologized, and said the cook was sorry for the wait, it was on its way out and there would be extra chips for the inconvenience. 20 minutes later and an uncooked grilled cheese with no extra chips arrived at our table. (I thought extra chips was a stupid way to make up for it, but if thats what you say youre going to do, do it). I wrapped the ingredients in a napkin and took them home to make an actual grilled cheese sandwich.The drink situation was not any better. Im genuinely questioning if there was alcohol in them at all. Usually, Im fairly inebriated about halfway into my second beer. I had one of their specialty mixed drinks and 2 doubles... so essentially 5 drinks and never even felt tipsy. Something doesnt feel right with their bar situation.Needless to say at this point, but I will anyway. We spent lots of money on literally nothing. Wont be back.

Its good.. great place to go. Staff has always been very friendly and knowledgeable! I wish they had more blues and jazz nights in the weekends, but definitely a good option to go if you are visiting or wanting a relaxing evening with your significant other!

I just watched a whole herd of folks depart this place, and it made me a little mad. I think they need to check their privilege! Outstanding funk, performed by someone with a BOSS voice and a four-piece ensemble that actually knows how to play their instruments, just is not something we have in southwest Kansas! Im damn glad I checked this place out tonight. Listening to good, LIVE music in an outrageously cool old building, with a Bombay & tonic in hand.....yall, this cannot be BEAT!

Two bartenders to handle all the drinks on a Friday night?? AND they want to push a cover charge?? Waited ten minutes at the bar with no acknowledgment, and finally decided to leave. The band is great, but this establishment has a few things to learn.

First of all, the amount of hard work, blood sweat, and tears, that went into remodeling the place is so impressive, and they did it themselves. Its so beautiful, too! Steve and Natalie put so much work into it, and it definitely shows. Theyve really created something special. The atmosphere, the live music, the classy, elegant decor, the tasty drinks and food. Its so stunning, Im mesmerized every single time I go.

We went for First Friday to check out some pieces, the building is very cool, lots of architectural features, bartenders were nice (talkative but not intrusive) drinks were fine but pricey. The only negative was walking through the smoke to enter, and being immediately informed that they were fully booked and it would be standing room only soon. Having no reservation we had a quick drink at the bar and left before whom ever reserved the stools we were squatting on arrived. Now to stop make a reservation for future visits!

Female bartender completely ignored our group without reason (not busy…). Really disappointed, there is an AMAZING bar right next to this place called Dockum’s that will continue to keep my business. They have the best craft cocktails in Wichita!

Really enjoyed it here. Went after work for their Happy Hour. Ordered an Old Fashioned and a dirty martini. The dirty martini was nothing special, its hard to mess those up, but the Old Fashioned was mixed well and they werent shy on the liquor (no complaints with that!). Only spent $10 for both drinks! Highly recommend.

Cool atmosphere. Our service was awful.We arrived at 6:30; fewer than 20 customers were there (including my party of 2). I waited more than a 1/2 hour for my drink, which not not made well at all, from their own specialty menu. My friend received her drink 15 minutes--still took much too long--before me, even though we ordered at the same time. I had to get up, go to the bar, and stop my server a total of four times before finally getting my drink. Other people, who came in long after us, ordered and received drinks in several minutes; other customers--also arriving around the same time as us--finally left because they never received their drinks. Doesnt bode well for a cocktail lounge.

Great vibe and an absolutely beautiful venue. Drinks are delicious and unique. Prices are a little steep, but if you hit it at happy hour or for one of their specials, its worth it. Great for a date night!

I didn’t enjoy my cocktails — they tasted very watery. Additionally, my husband and I ordered the bruschetta (labeled as $10) and when we got our bill it was $12. They fixed it when we brought it to their attention, but it makes me wonder if they’re trustworthy in their charges on other...less sober...individuals. Our waitress did not seem happy to be there (which I can understand...but definitely didn’t feel welcomed) and she took 30 minutes to pick up the bill from our table. I probably won’t come back anytime soon.

Met a group of friends there for a little birthday celebration. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable with cushy chairs and couches to relax in. We ordered dinner while we were there and werent disappointed with the cuisine!

Night out with my long time friend who happens to be a musician. This was our first time here. 1st the bartender was the best! I can’t remember her name but she was awesome. 2nd the band rocked and my friend got to jam out with them. Also those meatballs were tasty🥰

Very unique location. A high ceiling, balcony seating, and intimate tables with couches creates a very classy feel. Some nights they have karaoke or live music. The drinks are prey good too.

The space is eye catching and pleasing on the inside. There isnt much room to dance, given if the band of the night is that funky. Ive heard mostly good blues and jazz. There isnt much room in the entire space for that matter, I only recommend small groups and couples to this establishment. Vorshays I believe is for the 30s and up crowd, so I probably will not be back but I have told every person I meet in that bracket to check it out for a drink and a tune!

Everyone is so nice. The bar has the best atmosphere and the mixologists are superior.Live music classy people service is spot on. BEST bar in Wichita, hands down! The atmosphere is always alive with good live music playing & a unique drink’s menu that you won’t find anywhere else in Wichita. The owners are top notch people who treats every customer like family. You’re guaranteed to have a good time & a unique experience!

I loved the atmosphere and the drinks were good. However service was terrible, no one checked on us and it took 40 minutes to get our check. I finally had to go ask for it and it took another 10 minutes to get it. The music was also too loud, we got there before the music started and it was easy to have a pleasant conversation. After the music started, it was almost impossible to hear the person next to you.

So much fun! Great drinks. Great live music. Fun atmosphere with a nice mix of customers....younger, older, coupled, single....everyone having a great time. Clean & classy. Nice wait staff & bartenders.

Very elegant and classy ambiance, the signature drinks are phenomenal, the live music is always excellent, the food is exquisite (BEST REUBEN EVER), and I believe their signature drinks are seeming to become legendary. I cannot wait to try the new menu of gourmet meals in the near future.

Nice little bar. They have live bands just about every weekend.Drinks prices are reasonable. They also have a kitchen available for meals.If you dont get there early you will be standing.I would recommend this bar

Me and my fiancé ate out last night and the bartender double charged us for our tab. We ordered 30$ of food and drinks, then an hour later ordered another round of food and drinks for 24$ (54$ total). The bartender charged us our first 30$ Order at some point and never gave a receipt of any kind. I asked for our tab before we left and it was the whole 54$ ticket and we didn’t know she charged us the first 30$ until we had already left. My final bill should of only been 24$ since we already got charged the first round.

Reserved table no place to sit. $5 cover charge at door. Unable to order food due to the kitchen flooded. We sat at a table that was not marked as being reserved. Then later was informed. We was so humiliated we just walk out. First and only time I been there. Will never set foot in the place again.

My experience previously was great until tonight when the bartender argued that a Colorado Bulldog Cocktail didnt include milk or half n half? I assured him it is basically a White Russian with a splash of Coke, he said Absolutely not? However the music was great.

The music isnt too loud which is wonderful. The food and drinks are great. The staff is friendly. Its not overwhelming. Anyone that enjoys a nice quiet evening with friends over drinks - this is your place.

I wish on weekends the live music was just a bit quieter. I hate having to yell to have a conversation. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great and the staff are knowledgeable and very quick to help.

Such a cool venue!! The upper floor is super quaint and gives a great view. Also all the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. Not to mention the cocktails were very good too.

Friends and I just wanted to chat over a few drinks. The woman Natalie who helped serve us appeared to be the manager or possibly owner made things pretty awkward unfortunately. Great drinks but take your business elsewhere unless you want to be subjected to her spouting conspiracy theories completely unprompted. She also refused to wear a mask despite the city mandate. All around very unprofessional and I doubt any of us would go back.

This was only my second visit the first was an excellent visit. This time service was very slow the bad started 30 mins late and was off key for male vocals and guitar. So we moved up to the bar and got ignored and when I tired to oder another drink it wasnt what I order but I drank it anyway. This time they were not even busy like the first time I went

I really enjoy going to Vorshays for their events. Its frustrating that it does seem they have the staff to support large events. It takes a while to get a food or drink order put in and Im not too comfortable leaving my card to start a tab because you arent showing me what my running total is.

Great place to grab drinks and conduct a little business. The staff was great and very attentive to us. They also had Karoke (Wednesday) which was a lot of fun.

(I should preface that I just recently turned 21 so Im not an expert on achohal) The atmosphere here is incredible, the night I went they had a karaoke contest and Deal or No Deal playing on a projector, the Bar tender was super nice and made a very delicious peach drink (no idea what it actually was but it tasted really good) Vorshays gives off an upscale atmosphere, that invites everyone in

Dont charge a cover with standing room only and dont tell people to go up in the balcony when a private party has it reserved. It was akward, unfriendly, waste of my time and $ go to Cana Wine instead!

Great spot for tasty cocktails and snacks. Loved the Caprihaina with a bit of jalapeno heat! The pretzel bites were great too.

Good vibes with a high tin ceiling and an adult crowd. Drinks are a little pricey when calculating in the cover charge, and the service wasnt great.

Nice club but service is pretty slow on a busy night. Very large club so plenty of seating, and seats are better than most clubs.

I guess we were expecting something more lounge-ish but its a lot more bar-ish. Very loud & not in the least relaxing. Drinks were fine.
